Speaker 1 (00:01):
Not much happening down there. Seven fifty two is our
time here in Houston's Warning News. Bob Brice joins us
editor at bright Bart news Man. You went from a
feast of famine on this one, didn't you, Bob.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Well, it really is an amazing thing when the United
States government shows that we have the will to enforce
the border. It actually works. When people know that if
they cross the border they're going to get kicked back
to their country of origin or back into Mexico. They
stopped coming, and we said that all along. That Biden
administration was told that before they took during the transition

(00:37):
period by CBP and DHS officials, and they intentionally changed
all of the successful policies that have now been reinstated
and once again proven to work.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Right. Well, the mission was clear, right, We're going to
get as many illegals into the countries as humanly possible
for whatever purposes they wanted to do it, probably most
notably to influence future elections and congressional apportionment and all
that stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Oh. Absolutely, you know, these liberal states are bleeding population
like crazy, and so anything they could do to try
to keep their representation levels up. California is looking at
losing congressional seats again. New York is looking at losing
congressional seats again, as are many of these other liberal states.

(01:23):
So Texas and Florida are picking up seats and they
don't like that. So that's I think the primary reason
why they were trying to do this.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Now I find this very interesting. You can say what
you want about you know what horrible individuals these cartel
members are, but they evidently are fairly smart business people.
They've realized that they can't really smuggle people into the
United States anymore, so they are smuggling people out of
the United States. Why would I need to hire the
cartel to get me out of the country.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Well, you think it'd be easy to just go back
down to Eagle Pass and walk back across the river,
or go to the Gallas and step across the border.
But it's not that simple because the border is controlled
by the cartels, whether you're coming or going, and so
you know, it's just not the situation that you want
to be going back into Mexico without having paid your

(02:16):
dues if you will, to the cartels. You want to
make sure that once you get back across that you're
not going to get kidnapped and you know, raped and
attacked and beat and robbed and all of that kind
of stuff. You know, they're going to be going back
with money that they made while they were here in
the United States. So they've got a secure passage. And
these guys are absolutely you know I mentioned the other

(02:39):
day that's it's like the radar detector guys versus the
guys that make the police radar guns. They're always one
upping each other trying to step ahead. Well, these cartails
are just like that. They figure out what we're doing
and they find a way to count it because they
are going to make money either way.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
It's really quite amazing, isn't it. So, so I guess
the car tells. One of the smart things they did
is they basically sold one way tickets. Right, you don't
get a round trip ticket with a cartel, right, they're
charging you again to go home.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Well, and it was a one way ticket without guaranteed
destination delivery as well, because you are apprehended at the border.
They don't care either. They've already been paid. So you know,
it's an amazing business model for them. Many of these
cartels make more money by smuggling human beings and torturing
human beings and all of the other things that we've
talked about in the past, than they do buy smudge drugs.

(03:31):
But the great news is that now that the border
patrol is not babysitting and nursing and feeding tens of
thousands of migrants crossing the border, they're actually able to
get out there and find drug smugglers and bust them.
And they're finding convicted murderers that are coming back into
the country and prosecuting them as well, So they're able

(03:52):
to do their jobs for the first time in four years.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yeah, and I just to quick answer if you would
on this because we're all just out of the time,
But are we having an impact on the fentanyl coming
into the country at this point? Is are we making progress?

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Well, they are getting record numbers of seizures here. Again,
the cartels are very clever guys. They're going to figure
out other ways are getting it done. The Canadian border
is wide open, and if they can get it up
to Canada and bring it in that way, they're going
to do that as well.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Okay, Bob Price, always a pleasure, Thank you, sir, Bob
Price From He's an editor at Breitbart. He follows everything
that happens here in Texas.
