Speaker 1 (00:00):
Brian Harrison, State Representative of joining US now on Houston's
Morning News with a little reaction to the Supreme Court
decsition yesterday. Good morning, sir, how are you hey?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Good morning, Bob. Always great to be with y'all. And
what a beautiful morning it is here in the great
state of Texas.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
It's a beautiful morning, especially because we got a favorable
ruling that looks like it's going to lead to the
new district lines being in effect for the midterms in
November of next year.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
What does that mean, Well, it's absolutely a huge deal.
It is, and only that big news. It's good news,
and we don't always get a lot of good news
coming out of the Texas government these days. But this
is a very big deal. The stakes could literally not
have been higher if that three judge Chanel, these activist
judges had been able to slap down our new congressional

(00:48):
maps which added five new Republican seats, and if California's
Prop fifty had gone through, that would have been a
ten vote or ten seat swing for the Democrat as
we head into next year's election and very well could
have been the deciding factor that throws the US Congress
to the hands of the radical leftist, progressive Marxist Democrats

(01:10):
like AOC, and that would, as you laid out, would
have reached absolute havoc on the final two years of
the Trump Vance administration. So this is a good news.
It's a big deal. I personally think we should have
gone for even more than five seats, but it's very
good that we got these five seats as we head
into the elections, and in Texas, you know, we're not

(01:31):
too far away. Voting starts in just a couple months
in February, so I'll talk about coming down to the wire.
But a big deal for Texas and a big deal
for the.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Nation, no question about it. You know, because a lot
of people have talked about all of the different things,
I don't know which one frightens me the most. You know,
the attack on elections that would happen if they actually
got control of the Senate and the Presidency, if they
get the trifact again as well as the House. If
it would be the attack on elections by eliminating voter
idea and allowing rampant election fraud to rule for you know,

(02:01):
the indeterminate future, or if it would be packing the
Supreme Court with probably I would say they would go
as high as fifteen and let the next Democrat president
appoint six more justices so that they have a supermajority
and never have to worry about losing that. Again, I
don't know what the worst is, do you? And and
and how ranking?

Speaker 2 (02:21):
You know? We're Yeah, which socialist Marxist? You know progressive
policy is worse? Is a tough thing to rank. They're
all terrible. We have very few centrist, moderate, sane Democrats anymore.
You know, Bernie Sanders as an open socialist, used to
be kind of an outlier. Now he's like the mainstream
of the party. Yet they will they will try to

(02:43):
federalize elections, will have central bank, digital currency legislation, digital IDs.
They'll do everything they can to undermine the border security
successes that President Trump's have the last half of his agenda.
Will be stymied in NonStop investigations and impeachments. I mean,
they will do everything they can to destroy not just

(03:04):
President Trump, but it's country. If the Congress falls in
the hands of the of the radical leftis which which
is their goal. And that's why I'm fighting so hard
in Texas. Texas should be the number one state in
the country, not only for liberty, but for standing up
and thwarting the plans of the marticle leftist progresses to

(03:24):
control the Democrat Party. So Texas has got to be
leading the charge here in the fighting.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Amen, it's crucial. I agree with that one hundred percent.
We're talking to Brian Harrison, State Representative. Are you worried
at all about the recent results? Obviously what happened in
the off your elections last month? You know, a lot
of people freaked out, but it was a lot of
Blue people winning in blue districts for the most part,
in blue states. But then we also have the special
election on Tuesday in which it was a plus twenty

(03:49):
two Trump district that was won only by the Republican
Matt Van Epps only by nine There. Are you worried
at all about what the tea leaves read here?

Speaker 2 (03:59):
I wouldn't say worried. I would say I want. I
think I want every Republican right now because there's a
lot of excitement as there should have been when President
Trump was reelected. We had a massive victory just last year.
Not to take anything for granted, I do believe Republicans
are still in strong shape. But but the fastest way
for Republicans to lose and for Democrats to win is

(04:22):
for Republican voters and activists to believe that the Democrats
can't win. So I think we've got to keep our
eye on the ball, maintain vigilance, and I don't look
push aside the tea leaves reading in a special election,
the media is trying to basically take a Trump supported
candidate's victory and kind of spin that is into two

(04:44):
doom and gloom narrative. I don't buy that. I don't
I put. I always caution people against reading too much
into any one election, but just stay vigilance, stay focused,
make sure as you enjoy the holidays with your family
and friends, your mind everybody that as soon as the
new year shows up next year, one of your New
year resolutions need to be to do everything you can
to get involved in every competitive race from the primaries

(05:06):
through the general to make sure that the make America
First agenda and the pro liberty, pro freedom, low tax,
low regulation, pro prosperity agenda that should be the Republican
Party mantra and is for Republicans like me, does not
get defeated in next year's elections.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
I think that is great advice to wrap our conversation
up with State Representative Brian Harrison. Thank you so very
much for the time, and a very merry Christmas, sir.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Yeah, always great to be with you. Merry Christmas. God
bless you, God bless the great state of Texas.
