Speaker 1 (00:00):
Seven, twenty two. It's our time here in Houston's Boarding News.
All right, Well, there's plenty of people who approve Donald
Trump's specially for sure. Right now his rating, as I said,
his approval overall approval rating is slightly higher than Barack
Obamas was at this point in his presidency. Chris Bagala
joins this political analyst. It certainly doesn't fit with the narrative,
does it that the mainstream wants you to believe, which
is that this guy is getting more unpopular every day.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
No, it certainly does not. And you know, jobs report
coming out in a few minutes, the economy seems to
be doing a lot better. It just may go up
a little bit, you know. The two that I look at,
and mostly Jimmy Rasmussen's report has Donald Trump at fifty
three percent job approval and Trafalga, which was spot on
during the twenty and twenty four elections, they've got him

(00:48):
at fifty three seven. So right there, hovering at fifty four.
That's pretty strong for a guy who if you were
looking or listening or paying any attention to the media,
mainstream media, that is, they have him as a complete
total disaster. That's not the case.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah, and this is kind of rarefied air too, because
this is an interesting situation. We don't oftentimes have a
president serving a second term that's not consecutive. We've had
only a couple of times in history before Donald Trump,
so and most of those didn't go so well in
the second term.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, and you know, I think Donald Trump is somewhat
buoyed by the incompetence of the Biden administration. I think
he as people even though they may not really like him,
may not be super big supporters, but at least they
know he can do the job, and they've got confidence
that he's doing the job, and they've got confidence that

(01:43):
he actually knows what he's doing and he cares about
this country, you know, with what's coming out about the
Biden administration and you know, him not even being able
to find his way out of a closet apparently according
to some Secret Service reports. It's a big, big, big difference.
And you know, when you talk about the mainstream media,
I've got a theory here. It's subconscious that people still

(02:08):
today they don't trust them, but if they watch or
read a story, they're going to be instinctively, subconsciously believing
it to a degree. I think it goes further than that.
I don't think that we're watching it anymore. We're not
watching the nightly national news like it was an institution
back with Walter Kronkait. We're not reading the local papers,

(02:30):
we're not watching all of this. So they're just out
there in the ether. Nobody's watching or listening, and so
all of these NonStop negative drum beat lying stories or
not taking any toll on Trump's approval or the way
he's doing his job because people just are not there.
They're getting their information and have been now for about
the last six to ten years elsewhere.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Well, maybe the best news of that is they're forming
their own opinions rather letting other people form the opinion
for them, and that would certainly be progress in the
American way of thinking. Let me ask you before you go, though, Chris,
about that. You brought up the Biden administration, and we've
got his doctor who's going to be testifying in front
of Congress. I don't know how truthful he's going to
be about what kind of condition Joe Biden was really

(03:12):
in during his presidency. Hopefully he's very truthful, But do
you see anything coming from this, Because if it turns
out that bills were signed or or paroles or commutations
were signed with an auto pen and Biden didn't know
anything about it, that's a pretty serious deal.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
You know, there should be there should be, but I
don't think there will be. I think that doctor is
going to be incredibly evasive. He's going to use doctor
patient confidentiality, basically the sixth almost every single answer. I
don't think he's going to be straightforward, and there should
be an investigation. But do I think we're going to

(03:54):
unravel pardons and legislation and all this, all the other
activity that went on during his presidency. No, I don't
think so. I don't think we're going to go through
that the way it should. But you know, it's it's
it's an abomination. It's it's a scandal upon this country
where everybody and anybody who had anything to do, all

(04:16):
the way down to talking heads on the Democratic side,
for them to lie to the American people about this
man's mental acuity when clearly the world knew it. It's
a disgrace. But I don't think we're going to get
too too far along into it because and take action,
I e. With legislation, importance and whatnot. I don't think

(04:36):
that's going to happen.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Yeah, and unfortunately that means it'll probably repeat itself someday. Chris,
thank you, appreciate it. Chris Bogala, political analyst at seven
twenty seven is time to take a look at your mind.
