Speaker 1 (00:00):
Seven, twenty two. Now you're in Houston's morning news. All right,
there are a lot of lunatics in the Democrat Party.
Is there anybody who can merge into the twenty twenty
eight Saint Lane town Hall dot com wants to know.
Let's ask Chris Bogala, political and listed Houstonian extraordinary. Have
you found the same Democrat recently?
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Chris?
Speaker 1 (00:19):
And how did you know?
Speaker 2 (00:20):
They were saying, Well, you know, it's gonna be an
absolute joke because there might be eight, ten, twelve or
even more running for the Democratic presidential nomination. The only
one who's not is probably Kamala Harris, who blew through
one point five billion dollars in what seventy days? He's
(00:42):
been over a one hundred million a week and she's
still trying to raise money because the campaign went in dead.
But you know, Jimmy, it's a good question. And my
sense is is that Rom Emmanuel has the most potential
to go out there talk like a normal human being,
(01:02):
tell the far left to go jump in a lake.
Because Rom's got that you know, he's got that swagger,
He's smart enough to understand what's going on. I think
that guy has the best chance of you know the
title of this interview, who's the same Democrat. I think
he's got the best chance out there to maybe maybe
(01:24):
push through some of this insanity and bring a normal
candidacy back to this party. We'll see, but you know
my take.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
You know how he could start too. If you're Romney Manuel,
with your Chicago background, you you basically go on record
as saying that, you know, crime is out of control
here in Chicago. Labor Day weekend, we had fifty six
shootings in just one weekend. We are clearly in over
our head. I invite President Trump to send in the
National Guard. That'd be a good start, don't you think?
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yeah, it would, And I think Rom's the kind of
guy that could do that. He when he ran for mayor,
he had the guts to stand up to the teachers'
unions and he stood up to a lot of the
other you know, old guard of power of Chicago. So
Ram's got that political capital to do it. And he's
already come out I believe, pretty fairly strong. As far
(02:15):
as men not competing in women's sports. Wow, what a groundbreaking,
you know idea that is? Yeah, But I think Rum's
come out on that and I just see that, but
I see a bunch of other clowns probably running. Corey Booker,
aoc Pete, Buddhaje Edge, Gavin Newsom is probably the biggest
clown of all. He'll probably run as well. It'll be
(02:39):
a crowded field.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
And so far, you know, from the people we know
for sure are going to run, they all have Trump
derangement syndrome. They're all running on that, and that is
that's the only thing the Democratic Party at this point
seems to be willing to do. I would think the
first Democrat who could somehow say no to the far
left progressive part of the party and and and just
(03:00):
run it down the middle Bill Clinton style, run it
down the middle and stand for law and order in
some of these other things that even even most of
your Democrats admit, you know, need to be in play here.
If somebody would just do that, they'd have a chance.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Exactly. You would think it would be the easiest thing
in politics to be a relatively normal, sane candidate in
the Democratic Party. All you have to do is just
be somewhere near normal and not every other word out
of your mouth is you know, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump's
horrible he's this, he's that it would be so easy.
(03:39):
But that's how pathetic the party is right now, and
they know it, but they can't help themselves.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yep, sure seem said way. That being the case, assuming
nothing changes between now and next November, what sort of
midterm would you predict? What sort of midterm result? We
know what historical norms would tell us that the Republicans
would lose seats? Would you see that happening if the
Democrats don't change to their.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Tomb You know, when you get into those kind of
races though, they all become local, right, and and and
I think that it's still probable, probable that the Republicans
would lose a couple seats in the House. And we'll
see how this redistricting goes. But I would think that that, yeah,
that the House is very precarious, even though the Democratic
(04:23):
Party is a disaster. These races run into local, local races,
and it's a different it's a different mindset than across
the whole country.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Okay, Chris Bogala. Always good to hear from you, sir,
Thank you. Political analyst Chris Bugala
