protesting Kamala Harris's appearance, and coming up at five to eight,
a deeper dive into the CPI details in the minutes
ahead here on Houston's Morning News. First, what does CPI spell?
(00:38):
Consumer Price Index?
Speaker 4 (00:40):
Sky Mike, Okay, most people don't understand it anyway, let's
go to the hard work, Anissa, put your hard hats on.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Jimmy and Scherff.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
We've got a big problem.
Speaker 5 (00:47):
Ah.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
This is going to be around for a while too.

Center from.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Our KTRH top tax Defenders twenty four hour weather center
for today, partly cloudy, skies, hot, humid, high temperature right
about ninety seven. There's a slight chance of an afternoon
shower at thunderstorm. We'll get the legs on the forecast
with Terry Smith of the Weather Channel when we talked
to her in about eight minutes. Right now, it's eighty
one and your official severe weather station, News Radio seven
forty k t RH. It is time now for the news.
(01:44):
Here's Sheriff Fryer and good morning.
Speaker 7 (01:46):
Everyone's five o two on news radio seven forty KTRH
and our top story this hour.
Speaker 8 (01:51):
We will end the ear of inflation, mayhem and misery
under Kamala and Crooked show.
Speaker 7 (01:57):
Yeah, and he said he'd do it quickly, Donald Trump
laying out an economic agenda, specifically during a speech at Asheville,
North Carolina, yesterday. Now we already knew his pledge of
no taxes on tips or on Social Security income, but
there's much more.
Speaker 9 (02:14):
Under my leadership, the United States will commit to the
ambitious goal of slashing energy at electricity prices by half,
at least.
Speaker 7 (02:24):
Half, and he said he wanted to do it quickly.
He promised even more tax cuts too for everyone. Specifically
explained how the economy would grow as a result of
this and pay for it all. We have the entire
speech at ktrh dot com. So how will Kamala Harris
now react? How she's supposed to give a speech on
(02:45):
her economic agenda tomorrow. It's been twenty five days since
she was anointed Joe Biden's successor. She still hasn't done
a news conference, nor has she done an interview to
ask where people could ask specific questions of her. And
there was an after party to a Harris rally in
New York last night. In Harlem, it turned violent because
(03:07):
of anti Israel rioters.
Speaker 10 (03:12):
Democrats were gathered at an after rally party in a
restaurant when about fifty demonstrators stormed the establishment shouting at them.
Cops moved in to break it up, making arrests. As
a protester shouted slogans, blew whistles and horns, and set
off smoke bombs.
Speaker 7 (03:32):
Fox is Gary Baumgarten there.
Speaker 11 (03:34):
Now.
Speaker 7 (03:34):
Harris claims to have huge crowds for her rallies. She's
not bringing anyone new to her table. However, just that
Democrat really left his space.
Speaker 12 (03:45):
They feel like they have a chance now where they
didn't have a chance when President Biden was the candidate.
This is simply her racking up excitement amongst folks who
are already going.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
To be there.
Speaker 7 (03:57):
It's all about the vibe, don't you know Former Trump
administration official Neil Chatterjee there He told kg r AH
when novelty wears off, the race should start to look
like it did back in June. He didn't mention as
well that a lot of these so called ralliers she
has to pay to show up or give a concert.
If you're thinking that the Kamala campaign system looks a
(04:19):
lot like an Obama show, well you're not the only one.
Speaker 13 (04:23):
In fact, there are many who think Obama is really
calling the shots.
Speaker 14 (04:26):
Clearly he's been I think much more involved in Kamala
Harris's rise, and I think will probably be even more
involved if she were to be elected.
Speaker 13 (04:34):
Travis County Republican Party Chairman mkobe X says he thinks
the times between the two have strengthened since June.
Speaker 15 (04:41):
I imagine he is in regular communication with Kamala Harris,
particularly during the period of time between when Biden failed
in the first debate and when Biden dropped out.
Speaker 13 (04:50):
Obama staffers like David Pluffer now advising Harris. Cliff Saundiers
News Radio seven forty k TRH.
Speaker 7 (04:56):
Davidof of Hillary Clinton and Obama fame. It is now
five oh five here at home of proposal banning protesters
from gathering directly outside private homes once again postponed by
Houston City Council.
Speaker 16 (05:11):
Do you need to balance privacy and public safety with
free speech? And I believe whatever the city will pass
is going to get challenged in court by those who
want to be able to continue to harass those that
they don't agree with.
Speaker 7 (05:26):
Gary Pollin with a Texas Conservative Review, He says he
does expect Mayor John Whitmyer's proposal to eventually pass, but
then come the lawsuits in Washington Congress advancing legislation to
add thirteen new federal judges in Texas.
Speaker 17 (05:42):
The bipartisan bill will help a huge backlog of cases
which should have been done sooner.
Speaker 18 (05:46):
I can't really speak to why Congress haven't acted, but
I can to speak to why they're acting now, and
that is a response to the issue actually being studied at.
Speaker 17 (05:54):
Matt Stringer of the Texans says this problem was ignored
for two decades and our population growth play part of
the role.
Speaker 18 (06:01):
Roughly one thousand people moved to Texas per day, but
that could only not only be affecting cases filed in
the judiciary. But Texas is getting a benefit electorally.
Speaker 17 (06:11):
Texas hasn't added federal judges since two thousand and three
andree Perrard News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 7 (06:17):
Yeah, question is how soon will they appoint them and
who will be the president appointing and the Senate confirming
might be all Democrats. Texas Attorney General Ken pax And
secures an expanded injunction for this state meantime that stops
President Biden's Title X rules, you know, the ones that
allow males to compete in female sports. Jonathan Science and
(06:39):
Texas Value says it's a massive win and essentially.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
What they're saying is.
Speaker 19 (06:45):
We're not going to allow men to compete against women
in sports. We're not going to allow teachers and students
to be punished because they don't use the rights so
called pronoun The Supreme Court made a decision last year
that's going to make it very difficult for these federal
agencies to get away with this stuff.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
Women won today.
Speaker 12 (06:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (07:00):
General Paxson also announced a lawsuit against the Biden administration
that challenges a new federal mandate that requires minimum staffing
levels in nursing homes, which by law are actually nursing
homes are regulated by the state, not the federal government.
It's now five oh seven. Looking at our money, Hawaii
(07:20):
the most expensive state for costs of living, according to
new research from the online bill payment service. I don't
know how to say this, doxo or if it's doxo whatever. California, Massachusetts,
New Jersey, and Maryland round out the top five all
blues states. You notice Texas nineteenth on the list. America's
doctor shortage finally has the attention of the Senate, where
(07:42):
a new bipartisan bill is proposed to help doctors. Healthcare
analyst David Blatt says government bureaucracy has cut physician reimbursement
payments and frozen out family doctors in single practices.
Speaker 20 (07:56):
We have a crisis in the number of primary care
physicians that function as that access point for people who.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Need to get care.
Speaker 20 (08:02):
When they don't have it, they end up coming to
the emergency room that's very expensive, or they just don't
go at all, and that could be very bad because
we're not exercising preventive care.
Speaker 7 (08:11):
More than half of Texas doctors say they won't accept
new Medicaid patients because of high regulations low payments. Stro's won.
They're eighth straight. They beat the Rays two to one.
They now have a two and a half game lead
in the AO West over the Mariners, who lost to
Detroit three to two. Stros hosts the Chicago White Sox
tomorrow night. I'm sure we Friar on news radio seven forty.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
KTRH, Houston's Morning News continues with Jimmy Verrett and Sheriff Fryar.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
We hold you yesterday. This out for the month of July,
for the month of Rose, zero point two percent, zero
point two percent, two ten one percent. Yeah, but that
doesn't really tell the story. That's just an overall number
because some things go up and some things go down.
For example, the biggest thing that kept that number low
is tho it was was the gasoline prices were lower
(09:03):
during the month of July than they had been, so
that helped bring it down. But yes, we all you're right,
we all need gasoline. I get that, but that's not
all we need. We also need to eat. Food prices
were up two point two percent for that month. Gasoline
prices were down. Other energy prices were up one point
(09:24):
one percent, transportation services up eight point eight percent. And
here's a big one. If you need a place to
live shelter, five point one percent increase for the month.
That's rent home prices, all that kind of stuff. So
if you didn't fill up your car as much as
(09:47):
you normally would, did you really feel any difference on
a month to month basis? Did it did it feel
I mean, did it feel like things had slowed down?
Speaker 7 (09:55):
As far as the score that car we just also
reported yesterday expected be up twenty two percent on the air.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Uh huh, Well in insurance on your home going through
the roof as well. So yeah, there's plenty of others.
There's plenty of lady costs that continue to rise. That
had nothing to do with the consumer price index, the way.
Speaker 7 (10:14):
They what they load the basket with mm hmm, a
basket of.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Good exactly right. So it depends on you know, what
you buy what you need. I happen to think that
they don't throw a lot of things in there because
they're quote unquote volatility because they go up and down
so much. But if it's something you need, something you
use every day or every week, how can you not
include that? You have to it's your cost of living.
Speaker 7 (10:38):
Well, there's reality and then there's statistics.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
There's reality, and then there's the government. Right five eleven
dive for traffic and whether together. Hey sky Mike, what's
going on? Hey Jimmy Barrett.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
We've got so far most of our freeways are rocking along.
Our big problem is on the work inside. Remember your
tip line seven one three two one two tips right
off the board with has is Cody from Burke.
Speaker 11 (11:01):
Sky Mick, Dude, there seems to be a has Matt
situation on the exit ramp northbound past the toll bridge
at the exit to it TN habitatury Over There probably
a forecast of some chuckets on that northbound.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Well said great burbage, Cody, and that is all northbound.
We've got a wreck on the ramp to it in
off the toll bridge and they've completely shut down that ramp.
I think you've got to go north You could bust
to you at wood Forest and stay out of the trouble.
And then that's northbound. Misread from River Terrace is going
the other way.
Speaker 21 (11:34):
At this time of the morning's flowing.
Speaker 18 (11:36):
It's really nice going southbound.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
Wow, jump on southbound while they're getting a good skymike
in the classic elite GMC traffic center. I will yield
my time to the gentlewoman from Georgia. Were you there
when the devil was there?
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Bunny chest? Did you show up on dopplers?
Speaker 3 (11:51):
He's been there a long time, But I don't know
if we could go back that far from r kt
RH come on top tax Defenders twenty four. Our weather
soner Terry Smith is checked in. Hey morning, Oh we've
got you on the pall. We have technical difficulties this morning.
Speaker 22 (12:05):
Huh yeah, yeah, something something's not working like it usually is.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
We'll have to figure that out.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Hey.
Speaker 22 (12:11):
The good thing is the weather's not too tough. To
figure out because it keeps doing the same thing over
and over. Another heat advisory today. Because there's no change
in our overall weather pattern, we do have that twenty
percent chance that somebody's going to get wet today or tomorrow,
thirty percent chance at getting wet on Saturday, and then
back to just sunshine. It looks like Sunday and Monday.
(12:33):
So temperatures are in the mid to upper eighties here
the next two days, and with our heat index running
between one oh five to one ten, you know, to
limit how much time you're outside. But then we start
looking at some triple digits creeping back into the forecast Saturday,
Sunday and Monday, so anywhere from the upper nineties to
just over one hundred starting Saturday.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Up you're right now is eighty one at your officials,
Severe Weather Station, News Radio seven forty. It's Houston's Morning News,
brought to you byen New South Windows Solutions. Now back
to Jimmy and Sharah with the info you need to
take on the day. You know, every now and again
you hear stories about home title theft people, you know,
people stealing your title, having a fake notary taking over
(13:19):
the deed to your property or to your home without
your knowledge. It's happening here in Houston, and it's happening
with more regularity. So we have a little story to
share with you about that coming up next. First of
five twenty little traffic and weather together updates. Starting with
sky Mike.
Speaker 4 (13:34):

Speaker 4 (13:52):
You have the roadwork, but so far we're moving nicely
to eighty eight. Steven F. Fostin's looking happy. We're good
all the way from Highway six up into Ontown. Skymike
and the Generator Supercenter, dot Com Traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (14:03):

hundred tomorrow through Sunday, generally dry all three days. Right now,
temperature is eighty one at your officials Severe weather station
news Radio seven forty KTRH. I'm to check out some
of our top trending stories here on this Thursday morning.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Here's Shery Morning.
Speaker 7 (14:27):
Everyone is now five twenty one on news radio seven
forty k TRH. Our headlines are sponsored by Marril Mechanical.
New polling from you gov shows that inflation is the
number one issue for voters right now. A judge rules
that the Santa fe isd cannot be added to the
civil trial against the parents of the twenty eighteen high
school shooter. The Yellowstone prequel nineteen twenty three. It's being
(14:49):
shot in Galveston this week, and Jimmy, you just got
to regaled us with all the sights and sounds.
Speaker 3 (14:57):

of the hour, keeping you.
Speaker 6 (15:10):
In the know, all the information in real time and in.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
The now, right now, News Radio seven ktrh.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
Uh stealing the deed, by the way, I thought, I
thought when you buy a house, you get a deed
warranty right that doesn't protect you, evidently not evidently doesn't.
If somebody pos this as you and has the necessary
notarized paperwork, they can change over that deed to somebody else.
(15:40):
And it's happening with more regularity. It is happening right
here in Houston. Here's a report yesterday on KPRC two.
Speaker 23 (15:46):
At Celia Ibarra's North Side home, passed down over generations.
Speaker 24 (15:50):
The thought of moving has never come to mind.
Speaker 25 (15:52):
Somebody can just come like this and just scam your
proppyy take your proppy.
Speaker 23 (15:57):
It's a shock, she learned just days ago from a
family friend, and KPRC two, with what she calls her
forged signature, her deed transferred to a complete stranger on
March twentieth. It was one of three properties that went
to Hell and Yancy, all filed the same day at
the same time and stamped by the same notary. In July,
Yancy also got the deed to these five acres of
(16:17):
land bought by a Houston based surrogacy escro company now
at the center of a worldwide alleged theft scheme.
Speaker 7 (16:24):
How can somebody go take what you worked hard for?
Speaker 4 (16:27):
What you suffered to get and hold on to it.
Speaker 23 (16:30):
How is the big question for her and many homeowners.
But for investigators with Harris County Constable Alan Rosen's office.
Speaker 26 (16:38):
It's been easier for it to happen now everybody's kind
of catching on.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
It's nothing new.
Speaker 23 (16:43):
Notaries are supposed to authenticate everyone who signs the deed
transfer and keep a record. But in fraud cases, investigators
are seeing fake or stolen stamps or licensed notaries getting
paid off.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Start looking up your documents, do your research.
Speaker 23 (16:57):
Ibarra's advice lines up with Constable Rosen to check real
property records regularly and ensure ownership hasn't shifted.
Speaker 26 (17:05):
You just got to take those extra steps because our
criminals are taking those extra steps.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
They're smarter, they really are.
Speaker 26 (17:11):
They've got a lot of time on their hands to
come up with unique ways of stealing things that don't belong.
Speaker 23 (17:17):
To The Harris County Clerk's office where deeds get filed
tells us. Under law, it's mandated to accept property document
filings without discrimination to the public. That's why the law,
Constable Rosen says needs to change.
Speaker 26 (17:29):
There needs to be another step when you file a
deed with the county clerk that can authenticate the transfer
of that property, because again you're talking in some cases
millions of dollars in property.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Value, So there's absolutely no authentication going on with Harris County.
If you get a notarized deed, they just file it.
It becomes a matter of public record as a matter
if it's legit or not legit, and once it's been filed,
they own your property.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Oh, I don't know. I don't.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
I don't think it's reasonable for us to expect the
government to protect us on this one. I do Probably
we're all going to have to keep an eye on
this stuff ourselves, especially those of us who maybe own
more than one piece of property. You know, you've if
you've got investment properties or three or four pieces of
land that you own or whatever. There's multiple opportunities there
for somebody to steal from you. But we never think
(18:24):
to go check. Do we check and see what's on file?
Speaker 7 (18:27):
Well, the tax bill keeps coming.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Yeah, as long as the tax bill's coming.
Speaker 7 (18:32):
You go online, you see you know who the property
is registered, run the tax code, and you know, you
make sure that you've got your hands on your own
deed exactly. Yeah, yeah, but no, Yeah, there are protections
you can.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Have, right, but you have to be It's up to
all of us to be vigil in ourselves.
Speaker 7 (18:49):
You got to take care of it.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Exactly five twenty six, It is time to take a
look at your money. Courtney Donaho, good morning, Good morning, Jimmy.
Speaker 25 (18:56):
Consumer price data is showing trends of disinflation and that's
giving real to Wall Street, still reeling after last week's
market meltdown. The Federal Reserve is widely expected to start
cutting interest rates next month. Yesterday, stocks finished the day higher,
with the Dow rising two hundred and forty two points.
Now this morning, traders will be watching for data on
retail sales and Walmart's earnings report. Dow Future is edging
(19:19):
up eighty five points, turning to energy Oil higher at
seventy seven dollars a barrel. Traders concerned about geopolitical tensions
in the Middle East, and dock workers reports from Houston
to Boston are preparing to strike if there's no deal
on a new contract by the September thirtieth, the deadline.
Negotiations have reached an impasse over wage demands and disagreements

I'm Jimmy Barrett, a loong with Sheriff Fryar onng our

Kamala was the vote that led to all of this
inflation and coming up at five thirty eight. Speaking of Kamala,
she wants a federal ban on price gouging. Details in
the minutes ahead. You're in Houston's boring news. First to

stick out that morning drive sky Mike's here North Brown
off the toll bridge. I'll get to you shortly. Let's

Speaker 2 (20:41):
It Katie Freeway. We're looking good.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
Grand Parkway into downtown, the President's Heads North Freeway so
far headache free from the Woodlands and the off the
toll bridge northbound the East.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Sam, there's a big problem.
Speaker 4 (20:52):

Speaker 3 (21:09):
We'll be talked to Terry Smith at the Weather Channel
in about nine minutes. But you're still eighty one at
your official severe weather station, News Radio seven forty k TRH.
It is time now for the news. Here's Sheriff Fryer.
Speaker 7 (21:21):
Good morning. Everyone is now five thirty one on news
radio seven forty KTRH and our top story this hour.
If a working class long cannot buy a two.
Speaker 22 (21:31):
Dollars bill pepper because it's now five, Imagine a mother
was making minimum ways, trying to fed children.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
They're killing us without killing us.
Speaker 7 (21:40):
A woman talking to NBC as the White House keeps
crediting itself for the July inflation numbers. Prices on the
government dictated basket of goods increase two tensive a percent
and that brings a year over year inflation number to
two point nine just in time for the election. And
while we think about inflation, remember that Kamala Harris was
(22:03):
the deciding vote in the so called American Rescue Plan
that gave us massive government spending that created this inflation.
And now she claims she will lower prices.
Speaker 28 (22:15):
The vice president and Democratic nominee for president isn't the
best in terms of strengthening the US economy.
Speaker 29 (22:21):
Kamala Harris doesn't have much of any economic program other
than have the government spend more and create more inflation.
Speaker 28 (22:29):
Monica Sholwalter as deputy editor at The American Thinker. She
says Harris supported the Inflation Reduction Act, which led to
thousands of IRS agents going after service workers that Harris
claims won't be taxed on their tips if she's elected.
Speaker 29 (22:41):
They sold it to the public as we're just going
after billionaires, and of course there's only about nine hundred
billionaires in the US, but they hired eighty eight thousand
dirs agents.
Speaker 28 (22:51):
Jer Lewis News Radio seven forty KRH.
Speaker 7 (22:54):
Do the math on that. Two thirds of Democrats told
an ap pole though, that they would feel excited if
Harris were to win in November. New Fox polling does
have Trump leading Harris nationally by one point fifty to
forty nine percent. In the battleground state of North Carolina,
Donald Trump promised a packed house that he would make
America affordable again if he wins in November.
Speaker 8 (23:18):
Vote Trump, and your incomes will soar, your savings will grow,
young people will be able to afford a home, and
we will bring back the American dream, bigger, better, and
stronger than ever before.
Speaker 7 (23:31):
Trump then gave point after point on how he would
turn that all around again. Said he handed the Biden
Herris administration an economic miracle, and they turned it into
a nightmare. We'll have more on this at the top
of the hour at six. Democrat vice presidential candidate Tim
Walls meantime, says he has agreed to a debate with
the Republican JD Vance on October first, and it'll be
(23:52):
hosted by CBS.
Speaker 30 (23:53):
As for Vance, I strongly suspect we're going to be
there on October the first, but we're not going to
do one of these fake debates low where they don't
actually have an audience there, where they don't actually set
the parameters in a right way where we can have
a good exchange of ideas.
Speaker 7 (24:07):
Yeah, it's all in the details. Vance on Fox last night,
five point thirty four is Our Time. A new warning
about an ultra violent Venezuelan street gang nearing the Texas border.
A group of sheriffs from across the country say members
of trend Aragua have been given the green light to
attack law enforcement.
Speaker 31 (24:28):
We're getting the worst of the worst coming from all
these countries invading our southern border, and we are absolutely
not doing anything about it.
Speaker 7 (24:39):
Clint McDonald with the Texas Border Sheriff's Coalition says members
of the gang started showing up in March last year
and that the White House has not really taken the
threat seriously nor done anything about it. The invasion hitting
South Texas the hardest, and now the traditionally Democrat Hispanics
who live there may very well vote Republicans. This time.
Speaker 24 (25:01):
The Democrat Party seems to be leaving it's more traditional
members behind is.
Speaker 32 (25:05):
Spanish are conservative people. We praise God. We want to
protect our children. We believe in strong family values. We
want to defend the borders for our police officers.
Speaker 24 (25:16):
Retired Border Patrol agent Alberto Olivaras told KTRH people are
realizing that Democrats just don't align with those values.
Speaker 33 (25:22):
They're being more open minded and they're willing to ask themselves,
you know, who's going to really represent me better.
Speaker 24 (25:29):
Olivara says that when voting, people should think about the
candidates and what they stand for and believe in. Ethan
Buchanan News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 7 (25:37):
Meantime, a side note here, illegal aliens are finding are
their smugglers or finding new ways of evading getting caught.
Eleven people were caught earlier this month after a high
speed chase in Webb County, Texas, and they were being
smuggled inside. Get this, Jimmy, traffic cones, you know, like
those big barrels.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
Okay, traffic barrels then okay, yeah, I think more like Beryl.
I think so too.
Speaker 7 (26:01):
Israel. Meantime, it's five thirty six now on high alert
for an attack from Iran even as get this the
ceasefire talks are taking place in Cutter today. Pentagon spokesman
Pat Ryder says the US is preparing though for all scenarios.
Speaker 26 (26:17):
We've got to make sure that we have the capability
and capacity to protect our forces, to defend Israel should
it be attacked, and also to send a very loud
and clear message of de terns.
Speaker 7 (26:28):
Yeah, Hespela says, it may attack northern Israel even if
a ceasefire is in place with Hamas in Gaza. It's
now five thirty six. As I said, as you get
your kids off to school. A Travis County judge know
this block the Texas Education Agency from putting out its
rankings of school districts once again? Well, why Christian Collins
(26:50):
with a Texas youth, some it says, is actually outrageous.
Speaker 34 (26:54):
Families deserve to know exactly what school districts are ranked.
They need to know how each school map set to
other schools when they're making important decisions. And this is
why school choice and an upcoming legislative session is so important.
Speaker 35 (27:07):
So this is.
Speaker 7 (27:08):
Coming from the left, from the Democrats. It's a fifth
consecutive year the Texas families have not received a full
picture of their schools performance. Several districts sued to stop
the release because the Star tests are now being graded
by a new automated system, one that doesn't fudge numbers
got actually ranks.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
So they don't want us to see the results of
these new numbers.
Speaker 7 (27:31):
Because would you want to keep your kid in that school?
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Probably not.
Speaker 7 (27:34):
Here you go more problems at HISD two broken air
conditioners as several schools this week. The district started the
school year on Monday. Five point thirty seven is our time,
and you heard it on KTRH as the Astros made
it eight in a row. They beat the Rays two
to one, host the White Sox tomorrow and now lead
Seattle by two and a half games in the Al West.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Now, right now, News Radio seven KTRH.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
Five thirty eight is their time here in Houston's port
of news. Meat prices in particular have gotten our attention
for quite some time now, But I don't blame big
Meat for the price of steak. I mean, if you're
a rancher, we all know what's happened in the ranching industry,
in particular here in Texas with all the weather concerns
(28:35):
and problems. And it was a couple of years ago
that we had, you know, we had such a horrible
drought and there wasn't wasn't enough hate to go around
to feed the cattle. We had to get rid of cattle.
And you know, of course, when you decrease the supply
and the demand is still there, the prices go up.
That's part of it.
Speaker 7 (28:49):
Of course, not like raisin chickens, No, takes a little
bit longer to get your calf ready.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Exactly right.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
Well, Kamala Harris evidently on Friday, when she's going to
give her economy speech in North Carolina, is going to
call for a federal ban on price gouging because the
reason we have inflation are gritty corporations who are trying
to make too much profit. So we need to stop
that by taking them to court. You know, there's a
(29:18):
little difference in the way they want to handle things. Yeah,
President Trump is calling for taking off the regulations and restrictions,
letting people get out there and compete with each other
in order to bring down prices. They're talking about a.
Speaker 7 (29:34):
Federal he's talking about taking down energy prices, which is
the bottom line of everything.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
Drill, baby, drill exactly right. And then certainly the Harris
administration would not do that. But here's here's here's the
biggest question of all. How would the federal government determine
what price gouging is? Are they going to tell every
corporation how much they can raise prices on any particular
item without it qualifying as price scouting?
Speaker 7 (30:00):
Honey, it doesn't matter whether there's any logic or sensit
to it. It's all about control and for seeing the
companies to hire lobbyists to pay the lawmakers in order
to make sure that this doesn't happen.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Oh, in other words, a bribe, and then.
Speaker 7 (30:16):
The lawyers get rich because if it's a rule of
an executive order, I mean you'll see how this is game.
We know how this game has been played.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
Yeah we do, Yeah we do. And more of it's
coming five forty. Time for traffic and weather together as
we check out the drive once again, here's kuy Mine.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
Our East Sam remains the big problem for now, but
we're starting to get little tinks and pings and niche
around town. Here, let's check first of all, golf freeway.
Lookout for that stall left lane at Belford. He's in
a sticky spot too, so it's not really causing a backup.
I wish it were just a little bit just for safety.
Let's see West Park and to Allway as a cook
roater Houston Center.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
It's Houston Center, thank you.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
That is a stall right off the entrance ramp. He's
over on the side. He might be in a dark
spot too, so let's watch out here. Got a little
pavement repair terry going on by the golf ball twenty
nine to twenty on the westbound. And that's a bit
of a smush or it's more of us, yeah, going
over from forty five trying to hit two forty nine
loose two or three minutes. The big story is the
East Sam northbound. Now this is not a big smudge
(31:17):
if you're just trying to go straight, but if you're
trying to get on that ramp to it. This is
the North Sam off the toll bridge. There's been a
wreck this morning. They had a big hazmatt spill. I
don't know what it is. But let's not smoke. It's
northbound southbound suckage has begun twelve extra minutes. And by
the way, Red from River Terrace told me you don't
have to go all the way to wood Forest. You
can just exit Market Street and get off on the
frontage and get a rial that stuff here. We'll hit
(31:39):
some schools at five point fifty. Oh, check it out
banana stickers, Meg misread from River Terrace hazardous Cody. For once,
the ladies out number the me in Jimmy, I'm Skymike
and the generator of Supercenter dot Com Traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
From our KTRH Generator super Center twenty four hour Weather Center.
The heat continues, here's Terry Smith.
Speaker 22 (31:57):
Yes it does, and it gets even hotter into the weekend.
Temperatures today and tomorrow in the mid to upper nineties
than starting Saturday. Into early next week, we're going to
see many places near one hundred or just slightly above.
Speaker 16 (32:13):
Now.
Speaker 22 (32:13):
There's a heat advisory today because of the heat and humidity.
Our heat and disease will be running as high as
one ten today. Only a twenty percent chance of some
rain today and a twenty percent chance of rain tomorrow.
Speaker 7 (32:26):
Saturday.
Speaker 22 (32:26):
We may get a thirty percent chance of rain, then
it's dry, just sunshine. So I don't see this changing
really anytime through at least the middle part of next week.
So make sure you are being very cautious with this
prolonged stretch of hot weather.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
Debitare right now to Lady one at your officials Severe

What you need to know for the day ahead.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
This is Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New
South Windows Solutions.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
It is a five point fifty nowle here in Houston's
Morning News. Are I coming up Perio in just a moment.
There's been a lot of talk about the crowds to
show up for Kamala Harris rallies. First of all, if
the crowd is really there or if it's computer generated?
Speaker 7 (33:10):
Number one first clues when they bring them in on
buses and they look like they picked them up off
the street.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
That's that's.
Speaker 3 (33:15):
The second thing is is how many of these people
are paid to be there and how many of these
people are actually in DJA free supporters. And then you
get imagine, imagine the disappointment. I thought we were going
to a free concert. I didn't come to listen to
this crap. Anyway, we'll talk more about it coming up
next five poin fifty one. Time for traffic and weather together.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
These are the girls from the Beatles getting off of
the plane. You know, they're in black and white and
it's a bunch of thirteen year old girls. Something's photoshopped here.
All right, let's go to the hard work and east side.
Put your hard hats on, guys, we've got that. First
of all, Doug from mont Bilby just commented something with me.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
I'm easy to find on social media.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
This is what's important East Sam North Bam. The ramp
it's diesel. It's a diesel spill. The ramp to items
completely shut down. I did you go into wood forest?
Both Doug and I read from River Terrace told me
don't do that. Instead, just get off at Market Street,
get on the frontage road. That'll save you a lot
of headaches. So far, this will be here for a
while too. This is northbound southbound. You have the usual

suckcache with the roadwork Skymike and the classic elite GMC.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Neil Chatterjee joined US Farmer Trump administration official. I expect
you suspect, like we do, that these folks are probably
paid or have some sort of payoff to be there.
Speaker 37 (35:56):
I mean, she's entertaining them, she's springing out you know,
celebrities to do concerts to.
Speaker 4 (36:02):
Get them warmed up.
Speaker 37 (36:04):
But I don't also want to totally discount that, you know,
Democrats were despondent about Joe Biden being their nominee. Some
of this is just relief amongst base Democrats. Quite frankly,
we're going to vote for Joe Biden anyway because they
have such you know, antipathy for for former President Trump.
(36:25):
I think this is just Democrats coming home and the
media is hyping it to try and further boost Vice
President Harris.
Speaker 7 (36:33):
What are they going to do when finally, I don't know.
I think Republicans have been kind of standing back They
pretty much thought that they were coasting after their convention.
It was so good, and then all this stuff happened
and the media what happens when finally Republicans actually go
on specific attack instead of just standing back and watching
(36:54):
the vibe change.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 37 (36:58):
Look, I think it's pretty well acknowledged. This is a
bit of a sugar high. This is the honeymoon phase
for the vice president.
Speaker 18 (37:06):
You know.
Speaker 37 (37:07):
Look, this was a race that had been relatively stable
with former President Trump, you know, close but slightly ahead
for the better part of a year until the debate
in June, which was such a disaster for President Biden
that he had to leave the race. Now suddenly, despondent
Democrats are coming home, the vice president is getting ridiculous
(37:31):
media coverage, and there's all of this excitement that's purportedly
being reflected in the polls. I don't buy it. You
are correct. The Republicans are going to start to define
the ticket as being, you know, too far to the
left for the American people, that are going to point
out policy specifics that will likely turn off swing voters
(37:53):
in the key pivotal swing states. And I think once
those efforts start to take home let's let this thing,
you know, settle back post the Democratic Convention, post Labor Day,
when people start to pay attention. I suspect the race
will go back to where it was quite frankly before
(38:13):
that debate in June with the former president, you know,
ahead in a very close race.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
Well, and things might not be quite so honeymooniche over
there at places like CNN. I noticed that they were
questioning her surrogates quite actively yesterday about when she's going
to give a press conference, and we need to hear
from the candidate, and so they seem to be running
out of patients. I don't know about MSNBC or the
other mainstream beat, but Lee CNN is running out of patients. Neil,
thanks for joining us. Good to have you on, so

appreciate it. Former Trump administration official Neil Chatterjee. It is

Morning News. First, we're gonna check out that drive again.
(39:25):
Here's skuy Mike.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
All right, I've got reports of a car fire. I
was given hardy toll road. I don't believe it. That
doesn't sound right. Just looking at the smunches, I don't
see anything, but it sure looks like we might have something.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
On the North Sam.
Speaker 4 (39:36):
We already had the roadwork Aldan Westfield westbound, Imperial Valley eastbound.
I'll bet at the six ' ten we have the
exact laneage here. Northlet's northbound off the toll bridge East Sam.
They've shut down the rampants and diesel spills. It's easy
to get around, just to Market Street exit. They're getting

Speaker 8 (40:36):
From the day I take the oath of office, we

Speaker 2 (40:45):
We're going to make it affordable.
Speaker 7 (40:47):
Donald Trump in North Carolina yesterday promising to rebuild the
American economy for a third time, and he gave specific
points in how he would do it. In his agenda,
I will.
Speaker 9 (40:59):

Speaker 2 (41:03):

Speaker 9 (41:05):
And authority at their disposal to defeat inflation.
Speaker 7 (41:09):
Trump also promising to cut our electric bills in half
within a matter of months, and he gave point by
point how to do it. Kamala Harris will be giving
her speech on economic plans tomorrow. It's been twenty five
days since she replaced Joe Biden at the top of
the Democrat ticket. She still tries to act like she's
not part of Bidenomics, and she hasn't done an interview
(41:32):
or a news conference. And anti Israel rioters stormed on
after speech party in Harlem for the Democrats. It was
following a Harris rally last night. They clashed with police.
They threw smoke bombs. Dozens of arrests were made of
(41:52):
the protesters. About fifty Democrats had gathered. The mainstream media
claims Harris is drawing huge crowds to her, but who
actually is attending them.
Speaker 24 (42:04):
Chances are it's not the swing voters that she needs
to win.
Speaker 12 (42:08):
Quite frankly, I think the people coming to her rallies
would have voted for Joe Biden had he been the nominee.
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Anyway.
Speaker 24 (42:15):
Former Trump administration official Neil Chatterjee says all of this
hype is artificial and it probably won't last.
Speaker 12 (42:21):
After some of the sugar High and the honeymoon have faded.
My suspicion is this race will settle back the kind
of what it was like before the Biden Trump debate.
Speaker 24 (42:30):
In June, Chatterjee says that the race will come down
to who gets to define Harris as a candidate and
not how much media hype she has. Ethan Buchannan News

Speaker 7 (42:41):
Harris's campaigns looking a lot like what we saw with
Barack Obama's. So is he calling the shots?
Speaker 15 (42:48):
How involved is he really means he on conference calls
every day?
Speaker 2 (42:52):
No, of course not.
Speaker 15 (42:53):
You know, he's a foreign president the United States, But
you know, I imagine he is in regular communication with
Kamala Harris yep.
Speaker 7 (42:59):
Travis Gan, Republican Party chairman Matt mccovee X says, all
you need to do is look at Harris's advisors. They
were key Obama staffers. It's now six to oh four.
Proposed ordinance at bans protesters from gathering outside private homes
here in Houston got pushed back by the city Council again.
Speaker 28 (43:17):
Houston Mayor John Whitmyer's proposal on prohibiting individuals from protesting
outside people's houses is getting some attention.
Speaker 16 (43:24):
It's not freevious speech for freedom of expression to harass people.
It is freedom of speech to express your opinion on issues.
Speaker 2 (43:30):
Of the day.
Speaker 28 (43:31):
Editor of the Texas Conservative Review, Gary Pollin says Dallas
has implemented a similar ordinance.
Speaker 16 (43:36):
The way they've been successful is they've balanced the rights
of people to protest and have free speech with the
rights of citizens.
Speaker 28 (43:48):
The proposal was moved to the Committee on Public Safety Wednesday.
Pauland expects it to eventually pass. Jared Lewis News Radio

Congress is pushing some legislation now for the appointment of
more than a dozen new federal judges to Texas. Matt
Stringer of the Texas says there is a massive backlog
of cases on the docket.
Speaker 18 (44:09):
Even though the backlog of cases across the country have increased,
Congress hasn't added to any new judges for a long time.
They have passed will add about thirteen new federal judges.
Speaker 7 (44:22):
In Texas, but none have been added since two thousand
and three. But the question is which president will be
appointing these judges and which Senate will be confirming them.
All depends Texas Attorney General Ken Paxson wins an extended
injunction against the Biden administration rewrite of Title nine on
(44:43):
the basis of DEI. Jonathan Signs of Texas Value says,
it's a real victory for Texas girls and women.
Speaker 4 (44:51):
It's real simple.
Speaker 19 (44:52):
Men shouldn't be competing in competitive sports against women, and
the Biden administration has been trying to stack the deck.
They've been trying to rewrite the rules in this game,
and they keep losing every step of the way.
Speaker 7 (45:04):
Yeah. Texas also, by the way, suing the Biden administration
for a new federal staffing mandate in nursing homes, and
also has threatened to sue the City of Dallas because
it's in violation of state law in banning license to
carry gun holders from carrying at this year's state Fair.
(45:24):
It's now six oh six. Marcus liked the news of
inflation yesterday, a year over year number of two point
nine percent, and futures are up again this morning after
gains across all three indices on Wall Street yesterday. But
the struggles continue from main street Americans who now can't
even get into the doctor's office.
Speaker 36 (45:45):
Wait times to see a doctor are growing longer and
longer as the US healthcare industry faces a shortage of doctors, nurses,
and therapists. Healthcare analyst David Bilot says doctors are getting
paid less to treat more patients.
Speaker 20 (45:57):
They talk about the conflict heal there, and they do first.
They don't go to the insurance company and reduce subsidies.
They don't go to the hospitals and reduce their fees
and medicare. They go to the doctors and they reduce positions, payments,
and so they're getting less and less over time.
Speaker 36 (46:10):
Yes, there is a particular shortage in primary care doctors
since they tend to make less than specialists. In Texas,
they are now more healthcare bureaucrats than licensed physicians. Corey Jolson,
News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 3 (46:47):
Seven forty KTRH six O eight is our time here
on Houston's borning news. City Council has tabled Mayor Whitmeyer's
anti picketing ordinance for further study. Then they already do that.
How much more do you need to study? It's a
pretty simple thing. How close are you going to let
organized protesters get to the private residence of any official,
(47:11):
whether you're talking about the mayor, or you're talking about
Senator Ted Cruz or hey, any private citizen. What if
some protest group decides they want to come out in
the spring and send camp in my front yard to
protest my opinion about whatever.
Speaker 7 (47:24):
It's just not the camping out and holding up placards.
It's channing and it's music and the dead and night.
Is it costing anybody who comes to visit your home?
Speaker 2 (47:33):
Right?
Speaker 7 (47:34):
So what was proposed by the mayor was two hundred feet.
Speaker 3 (47:36):
That's pretty reasonable. It's not taking it's not taking away
anybody's free speech rights. It's just where you can do it.
I mean, the mayor has property rights, doesn't he? I
would like to think he does.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
He should.
Speaker 3 (47:50):
Senator Cruiz has property rights. You can protest untor Cruz
all you want in Washington, DC. You can go to
city Hall and protest the mayor. Any protests right here.
Houston is not fun to live in his neighborhood. No,
it's not because they love to protest Senator D'Cruz. A
whole variety of different groups love to do that. It's
been pretty busy over his house. But anyway, there are
four people who evidently are the problem on city Council.
(48:13):
They would be Tarsha Jackson, Edward Pollard, Letitia Plummer, and
Tiffany Thomas. They're the ones that tag the item for
quote further consideration. And it was Letitia in particular who
was making the stand for this pro Palestinian group. She
felt offended that everybody was picking on this pro Palestinian group.
And the mayor said, I'm not trying to single out

Time for trafficking weather together. We're checking out the drive

Speaker 4 (48:50):
All right, Southwest Freeway. We're coming all the way up

Speaker 4 (49:09):
All right, Dan, it looks like we just now got
some lanage there. This is two right lanes. This is
on the outbound side, not inbound. It's causing a scoots
from the beltway northbound. I am expecting some reverernecking. And hey,
don't forget to tell us your name and where you're from,
especially if you're from Cleek. I've always want to hear
from Cleek. Let's go to Ady eight. I got Jason
Alvin Dudet.

My northbound support Broadway out Apairland.
Speaker 21 (49:32):

it's all on the.
Speaker 20 (49:36):
Shoulders, but maybe it's falling down a little bit in.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
The right lane.
Speaker 4 (49:38):
I think they're going to take a right lane shortly,
so let's watch out. As you're coming up from Highway six.
We still have the closure. It's a diesel spill on
the east sam northbound coming off the bridge that's going
to take out the ramp to it. And this is
an easy skip around for now do Market Street southbound,
so I could just begun.
Speaker 2 (49:55):

Jimmy, I'm watching this coal front in the central part
of the country just in case it starts to head
our way and knock our temperatures down a little bit,
but I don't see any sign of that into early
next week. Another hot day today, middubber nineties, heat in
dex as high as one ten. There is a slight chance,
a twenty percent chance you might get wet middubper nineties
(50:27):
tomorrow with just a twenty percent chance of a thunderstorm,
and Saturday a thirty percent chance of rain, but temperatures
getting closer to ninety in some spots.

looking from airport. Let's call that two right lanes. It's
on the outbound, not the inbound. There is some Reverendeck
and Golf Freeway that's erect. Now Belford inbound, take up
a left lane and the east SAM that's a diesel
spill on the ramp to item. Just jump on Market Street.
That's easy. Skymike and the Generator Supercenter, dot Com Traffic.

Speaker 2 (52:48):
I need the doctor. I've got several doctors. I have one.
Speaker 7 (52:52):
That's that's the nature of the game now, right, Yes,
you used to be able to have one doctor and
then they'd send you out to a specialist. Now you
have to have a specialist doctor for everything.
Speaker 3 (53:03):
Yeah, that's pretty much how it's worked out. And now
it's like, well, why would I need a general practitioner
everything is wrong with me. I've got a specific doctor
I go see for it. But doctors are hard to
come by, especially in some parts of the country. David
blot joins US CEO of Healthcare Finance Specialists. You know, David,
let's let's let's start with this. Of all those doctors
I have, and I probably have four or five different
specialists that I see for a whole variety of different things,
(53:26):
only one of them was born in the United States.
Very very few doctors are coming out through our medical schools.
They're from the United States. Why is this, Oh, we
have a need and.
Speaker 21 (53:38):
There are a lot of good trained people that are
coming in from from overseas, and frankly, in some parts
of the United States, we absolutely need those trained individuals.
It's we have a cap on the number of residencies
that Congress funds and some states funds, so it's difficult.
We have a supply of physician problem the states.
Speaker 7 (54:00):
Well, put yourself trying to put yourself as an individual
through medical school and getting out and not being able
to practice because of government regulation, government mandates, and the
fact that they control even how much money you can
charge for what you do. There's the only way you
can be doctor is to be part of some huge system.
(54:21):
You can't be just a doctor anymore.
Speaker 21 (54:24):
Well, and that's part of the problem too, and the
fact that we have the lack of independent physicians. You know,
from fourteen to fifteen years ago, around the time that
the ACA came into being, the Obamacare law, seventy percent
of physicians were independent. Today it's thirty. Most of them
are employed by hospitals, by insurance companies, by private equity companies,
(54:45):
and that facilitates this need for being referred out to
more and more specialists because that's just a more lucrative model.
But yeah, doctors are feeling more burnout because there's more
administrative burden placed upon them. You are more decreasing reimbursement
from government year over year. Government doesn't reduce compensation or
(55:05):
reimbursement for hospitals or insurance companies, but they sure do
address the physicians, even though they make up a smaller percentage.
Speaker 2 (55:12):
Of the pie.
Speaker 21 (55:13):
And then you know, looking at physicians, they're the only profession.
Lawyers don't have non competes, but physicians do. So for
them to be able to leave employment is much more
difficult than it is for any other profession of that level.
And so they've got those gold and handcuffs on.
Speaker 3 (55:28):
I can't even imagine what malpracticed insurance costs these days.
Inflation has hit everything. It has to have hit the
medical field just as much.
Speaker 21 (55:37):
Oh, there's no doubt we're seeing that especially well. It
was inflation and then the effects of COVID, the staffing
issues has really increased the cost overall, especially in the hospitals,
which again is where most of our physicians work.
Speaker 7 (55:51):
So how does this change, How does this turn around?
How does it not just go straight off to cliff.
Speaker 21 (55:57):
We need we need more physicians, we need more nurses,
And there is legislation out there right now that is
addressing more of the allied health professions but I believe
Senator Cassidy is working on increasing the number of residency
slots in the country, which is badly needed. I think
another thing that's important, this is something I worked on
in prior legislative sessions here in Texas, is eliminating those
(56:21):
noncompetes allowing physicians to practice across state lines. Because the
practice medicine is specific to your licensure in the state
in which you reside, and you can have licensure in
multiple states, but it can be very expensive. So it's
important that we allow a little bit more freedom so
that we have access to more professionals.
Speaker 3 (56:39):
Okay, David Block, good to hear from you, sir, appreciate it.
David is We, CEO of Healthcare Finance Specialists, is six
twenty six. It is time to take a look at
your money. Cordry Donaho is here.
Speaker 8 (56:49):
Well.
Speaker 25 (56:49):
Good morning, Jimmy dal future is arising one hundred and
ten points, building on yesterday's games.
Speaker 7 (56:54):
Inflation is trending downward.
Speaker 25 (56:56):
Consumer prices rose two point nine percent from a year
earlier as a result of Federal Reserve is expected to
start lowering rates next month. Walmart raised its financial outlook
for the year lawn, garden and seasonal products such as
poll noodles were standouts during the quarter.
Speaker 7 (57:12):
The retailer actually set that combining.
Speaker 25 (57:13):
All the pool noodles had sold would stretch out to
thirty thousand football fields. The tractor markets still resilient despite
the slumping farm economy. Farm machinery maker Deer reported quarterly
earnings that top to expectations. The company has also been
cutting costs in response to the market conditions. Shares are
jumping in the pre market, and millennials are now wealthier
(57:34):
than previous generations were at their age. The biggest driver
of that increase was a colossal jump in home prices,
According to the Wall Street Journal, Stocks and mutual funds
also played a key role. I'm Courtney'd on a Hope

Speaker 4 (58:30):
Huh two twenty five, let's zoom in. I see that
tip line blowing up. Now, I bet you're gonna give
me some laneage. This is outbound past the Beltway. Their
direct KTRH listeners are the first to know about it.
You've got a vehicle fire. You knew it. Also on
the Southwest Freeway first at Belford, we're taking up two
right lanes southbound, not inbound, and we have the diesel
spill on the East SAM northbound ramp that shuts down
(58:54):
your ramp to itenanc easy. Just get off at Market Street.
We've got some North SAM suconds to talk it. Six

our KTRH Generator Supercenter twenty four our Weather Center for
today mostly Sunday's light chances of stray shower storm with
the temperatu're right about ninety seven.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
We'll get the complete forecast with Terry Smith at the
Weather Channel in about eight minutes. Right now seventy nine
at your official severe weather station, news Radio seven forty KTRH.
It is time now for the news. Here's Sheriff Fryer.
Speaker 7 (59:26):
Good morning. Everyone is now six thirty two on news
Radio seven forty k TRH. Our top story this hour,
the Biden administration economic gas lighting. Yes, of all of us.
Speaker 18 (59:37):
Does the White House at this point think that the
inflation problem is solved?
Speaker 4 (59:43):
The momentum is certainly in the right direction.
Speaker 7 (59:47):
White House Economic Advisor Jared Bernstein painting himself patting himself
on the back because the government's numbers for July show
that inflation year over year has dipped below three percent.
Now right on cue, three months before the election. Vice
President Kamala Harris wants all of us to think that
she will ultimately lower prices. She says she will, but
(01:00:11):
she won't tell you. She's the reason prices are out
of control.
Speaker 29 (01:00:16):
She's the one who casts the tie breaking vote for
the Inflation Reduction Act, which was very badly misnamed. She
casts that vote, and that was what unleashed the IRS
onto all of these tipped workers.
Speaker 7 (01:00:30):
Yeah, so she's really going to say no tax on tips.
Why don't they just pass it right now Congress before
they adjourn. In January, American thinkers Monica Showalter says Harris
really has no economic plan for this country other than
socialism or far left Marxism. New Fox polling has Trump
leading Harris nationally just by one point, though fifty to
(01:00:53):
forty nine percent. Two thirds of Democrats to the Associated
Press they'd feel excited if Harris were to win. Donald
Trump he went through his economic agenda point by point yesterday.
It was a long winding speech, as usual in the
battleground state of North Carolina. Extemporaneous a lot of it.
Speaker 8 (01:01:13):
Are you better off now with Harris and Biden than
you were with a person named President Donald J.
Speaker 4 (01:01:20):
Trump?
Speaker 5 (01:01:20):
Do you know him?
Speaker 4 (01:01:21):
He's a nice gentleman.
Speaker 7 (01:01:24):
That's how he opened. He did promise to terminate the
Green News scam that was actually cast the vote. Harris
casts the leading vote, and that's what she wants to continue.
But he will end it if he wins the election.
We'll have more at seven am. Democrat Vice president candidate
Tim Wallas agrees to debate with Republican JD. Vance on
(01:01:46):
CBS on October first, but Vance won't commit yet.
Speaker 30 (01:01:51):
We're not going to run walk into a fake news
media garbage debate. We're going to do a real debate
and a CBS agrees to it, and certainly we'll do it.
Speaker 7 (01:02:00):
Yeah, like having an audience and not having posed questions
and time limits and whatever Vance was on Fox. Our
news time now is six thirty four. Another border concern
for all of us the rise of ultra violent Venezuela
street gangs. They're called trend de Aragua. Clint McDonald with
the Texas Border Sheriff's coalitions sounding the alarm. He says
(01:02:23):
the Biden administration has done nothing to combat it.
Speaker 31 (01:02:27):
To allow this kind of people into our country and
to ignore it is treasonous.
Speaker 7 (01:02:36):
This is a frontline guy fighting at McDonald's's. Gang members
have been given the green light to go ahead and
come on in and shoot up law enforcement. Democrats have
begun to lose their support though in the traditional Democrats
strongholds of Southwest Texas, in particular because of more conservative Hispanics.
Speaker 32 (01:02:57):
I think people here, you know, just witnessing the cost
living the border crisis and some of these other major
issues is what's getting them to look beyond one party.
Speaker 7 (01:03:08):
Former Border Patrol agent Alberto Olivares he told KTIH, these
longtime Democrats are beginning to ask the question, who will
actually represent me better? Smugglers are being pretty creative. Hate
to give them a compliment to evade arrest. They're hiding
illegal aliens in traffic cones more like barrels. Eleven of
(01:03:29):
them caught in Webb County in a car chase on
August third. Negotiations for an Israel Hamas cease firing Gaza
underway and cutter. But even so, the Pentagon says that
US military bases across the Middle East are on alert
for any attacks by Iran. April thirteenth was when Iran
(01:03:50):
launched a drone strike on Israel that was intercepted by
US and Jordanian forces. So we've been in a high
alert since then. Thirty six is our time. There's a
judge in Travis County. Of course, very red, I mean
very blue run Travis County preventing the Texas Education Agency
from releasing the rankings of the state school districts. Second
(01:04:14):
straight year it's happened. Christian Collins of Texas Use Summit says,
it's why getting school choice is so important.
Speaker 34 (01:04:21):
We need to make sure that families have options and
they're not being sent to schools where the curriculum or
the education is watered down to the lowest common denominator.
Speaker 7 (01:04:31):
Yeah, it's the school district's not wanting their grades released,
and they're saying it's because there's a new automated AI
system that actually grades the star exams. That's their excuse.
The head of the Texas Latto says a huge jackpot
that was won by an investment group was not rig
The group actually spent eleven million dollars to buy nearly
(01:04:54):
every single combination of numbers. As a result, they won
nearly one hundred million bucks.
Speaker 36 (01:05:04):
I don't believe that it compromised the integrity of the game.
Speaker 32 (01:05:06):
Every player that played the game for that jack patrol
had the same one in twenty five million chances of
winning them.
Speaker 7 (01:05:13):
Yeah, but if you buy up all the number combinations.
Lottery's Ryan Mendel says they didn't know about these bulk
ticket sales until it happened, and then there was no
way to stop it. Might take a new law in
the state of Texas. Six point thirty seven is our time.
NASA says it's going to decide within two weeks on
when and how to bring back those two astronauts who
(01:05:36):
got stranded on the International Space Station after the Boeing
Starliner experienced a malfunction in June. NASA Mission Assurance Chief
Russ DeLoach said that he was optimistic that but Will
Moore and Sonny Sonny Williams would be returned.
Speaker 38 (01:05:56):
I am confident that our process is moving to a
good decision for the right path to get both Starliner
and her crew.
Speaker 7 (01:06:02):
Hope we'll find out more. Astros beat the Rays two
to one, their eighths consecutive win with a two and
a half game lead now and the al West over
the Mariners. They host the White Sox tomorrow night. I'm
sure for Fryar on news radio seven forty KGRH you cool, you.
Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
Will be during the beat the heat sale expects cheers
the Savings.
Speaker 7 (01:06:25):
I will probably put my record against here.
Speaker 4 (01:06:27):
She's absolutely terrible.
Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
Your decision.
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
Twenty twenty four headquarters is used Radio seven forty kt RH.
Speaker 3 (01:06:35):
It's more about poles than polling data. I mean, we've
all seen the polls right which show the race tightening up,
and show that Kabala Harris at least right now is
maybe ahead by one percentage point. Everything is well within
the margin of error, including all the battleground states. But
you know, people get all crazy over these poles, well
(01:06:57):
pollingd Gurru was on Fox yesterday. His name is Nate Silver.
He has cautioned us against relying or over relying on poles.
He says they have consistently underestimated Trump. They did in
twenty sixteen and they did in twenty twenty. The underestimated
his ability to gather votes. He considers this race he
(01:07:20):
thought it was definitely a Trump led race when Biden
was in Now he's calling it a toss up. He says,
here's the bottom line is, we just don't know what's
going to happen between now and election day. There's always
things that happen. There's always surprises that occur that can
shift momentum one way or shift at the other. So
don't put too much stock in these poles. Don't worry
(01:07:41):
about them. If you're a Trump supporter, and don't get
excited about them if you're a Harris supporter, because it'll
all change six forty time for traffic and weather. Together's
we check out the drive once again. Sky Mike's here scoots.
Speaker 4 (01:07:52):
You things up. Northbound on the Southwest Freeway. We got
this vehicle fire at Belfort taking up two right lines.
Now we're seeing some reverer neck coming up from the fountains.
You're losing five or six minutes this way outbound. Oh,
looks like you're stuck on the ramp from the Beltway,
so don't get.
Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
On that ramp.
Speaker 4 (01:08:09):
Let's go southbound and busty you turn there at Belfort.
Interestingly enough, let's see we've got the east Sam. That's
a diesel spill on the ramp coming off the toll
bridge to iten complete shutdown of the ramp here. It's
an easy fix. I'd said wood Forest earlier, do a
U turn, and then a lot of you have corrected
me and said if you do that.
Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
Dude, you're going to be in a school zone.
Speaker 4 (01:08:29):
So let's just get off at Market Street, get on
the feed er, sit through that light. If you're going left,
no problem southbound, that suck. It just started twelve minutes here,
Nord Sam. You've got let's go off a forty five
north freeway your ramp, don't do it, go down the
west road instead. You've got a southbound stall on the
ramp that's scooching everything up. Plus you've got the roadwork
at Aldine Bender westbound the Imperial Valley roadwork tip line.
(01:08:53):
It's Jimbo from Porter Skott Miggey.
Speaker 11 (01:08:55):
Dude, dude, when is this construction.
Speaker 21 (01:08:58):
On the Beltway North? They're clear up, this is ridiculous.
Speaker 11 (01:09:01):
We're paying this tolls as.
Speaker 4 (01:09:03):
To it's gonna be the rest of the year. You
know what, Jimbo, if you vote for me, I don't
know what I would run for, but I would say
toll way. You know, whenever they take Kellaane's away, it
would be free. I'm Skymike in the classic elite GMC Traffic.

Speaker 5 (01:13:10):
And this is.
Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
Wild in blue states.
Speaker 35 (01:13:13):
You want to avoid those states because of the heavy regulations,
the unpredictability of taxes being increased like overnight, and the
renters having more basically more.
Speaker 4 (01:13:26):
Power than the property owner.
Speaker 35 (01:13:28):
If you go to Florida or Texas, those are going
to be beneficiaries of a Harris win. If she wins,
they will be massive beneficiaries Arizona, Florida, for Shrire Texas,
the Carolinas will be beneficiaries because they protect the property owner.
Speaker 6 (01:13:45):
If Donald Trump wins, okay.
Speaker 4 (01:13:47):
It'll be a beneficiary.
Speaker 35 (01:13:49):
Everybody that owns property around the country will benefit because
he'll loosen the regulations, lower the taxes, and put some
predictability in there for property owners.
Speaker 7 (01:13:58):
Well of Texas and Trump, there's the added advantage of drill, baby, drill.
Speaker 2 (01:14:03):
Yeah exactly right.
Speaker 3 (01:14:04):
Never overlooked, oh yeah no, that we'd be big time winners,
and we'd also avoid more people fleeing from blue States.
We have enough people moving to Texas without everybody you
know leaving, continuing to.
Speaker 7 (01:14:16):
Leave Blue State crowded.
Speaker 3 (01:14:17):
It is getting a little crowded. Hard to believe that
Texas could get crowded, but it is.
Speaker 7 (01:14:21):
It's crowded.

Two twenty five toe drucks did a'ninja that accident we

there's a stall, same spot that might explain why Big

you know, get off on the Market Street exit, don't jump.

Speaker 8 (01:17:17):
I gave Harris and Biden an economic miracle, and they
quickly turned it into an economic nightmare.
Speaker 7 (01:17:23):
Donald Trump, he was laying out his economic agenda during
a speech in Asheville, North Carolina yesterday. You already know
about no taxes on tips and no taxes on Social
Security income, but there is much more.
Speaker 8 (01:17:38):
At the center of our effort to bring the cost
of living under control will be the all out push
to end the Biden Harris war on a thing.
Speaker 9 (01:17:47):
Called American Energy. American Energy.
Speaker 7 (01:17:52):
He promises this will cut electric bills by fifty percent,
and he's going to do it immediately. Kamala Harris supposed
to give up on her economic agenda tomorrow. It's been
twenty five days since she was a anointed Joe Biden's successor.
She still hasn't done a news conference, nor has she
done an interview. There was an after our party to
a Harris rally in New York last night and it
(01:18:14):
turned violent by anti Israel rioters.
Speaker 10 (01:18:20):
Democrats were gathered at an after rally party in a
restaurant when about fifty demonstrators stormed the establishment, shouting at them.
Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
Cops moved in to.
Speaker 10 (01:18:30):
Break it up, making arrests as a protester shouted slogans,
blew whistles and horns, and set off smoke bombs.
Speaker 7 (01:18:39):
Foxes gary the bomb garden. There now one police car
spray painted with the words free Gaza. Harris claims to
have huge crowds for her rallies, but is she bringing
anyone new to the table or just her Democrat base.
Speaker 12 (01:18:54):
They feel like they have a chance now where they
didn't have a chance when President Biden was the candidate.
This is simply her rapping up excitement amongst folks who
are already going to be there.
Speaker 7 (01:19:07):
Former Trump administration official Neil Chatterjee there didn't mention the
so called ralliers that she actually pays to show up,
just like those influencers that the Democrats pay. If you're
thinking that the Kamala campaign system looks a lot like
an Obama show, well you're not the only one.
Speaker 13 (01:19:26):
In fact, there are many who think Obama is really
calling the shots.
Speaker 14 (01:19:30):
Clearly he's been I think much more involved in Kamala
Harris's rise, and I think we'll probably be even more
involved if she were to be elected.
Speaker 13 (01:19:38):
Travis Kennedy Republican Party chairman Nikobe X says he thinks
the times between the two have strengthened since June.
Speaker 15 (01:19:44):
I imagine he is in regular communication with Kamala Harris,
particularly during the period of time between when Biden failed
in the first debate and when Biden dropped out.
Speaker 13 (01:19:53):

Speaker 7 (01:20:00):
It's now seven four here at home. That proposal by
the mayor for banning protesters from grathering outside private homes
in Houston has once again been tabled or postponed by
city council.
Speaker 16 (01:20:15):
Do you need to balance privacy and public safety with
free speech? And I believe whatever the city will pass
is going to get challenged in court by those who
want to be able to continue to harass those that
they don't agree with.
Speaker 7 (01:20:30):
Gary Bollham with a Texas Conservative Review, He says he
does expect Mayor John Whitmyer's proposal to eventually pass, but
then it could be tied up in court. In Washington,
Congress advancing legislation to add thirteen new federal judges to Texas.
Speaker 17 (01:20:47):
The bipartisan bill will help a huge backlog of cases
which should have been done sooner.
Speaker 18 (01:20:52):
I can't really speak to why Congress hasn't acted, but
I can to speak to why they're acting now, and
that is a response to the issue actually being studied.
Speaker 17 (01:21:00):
Matt Stringer of the Texans says this problem was ignored
for two decades, and our population growth plays part of
the role.
Speaker 18 (01:21:06):
Roughly one thousand people moved to Texas per day, but
that could only not only be affecting cases filed in
the judiciary, but Texas is getting a benefit electorally.
Speaker 17 (01:21:16):
Texas hasn't added federal judges since two thousand and three.
Andre Perrard News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 7 (01:21:23):
Now the Attorney General of Texas. Ken Paxon, he's won
a big battle against President Biden granted an extended injunction
halting Biden's changes to Title nine. Here in our state
among them, you know, Biden has been trying to allow
women to men to compete in women's sports. Jonathan Signs
(01:21:45):
of Texas Value says, even liberals think the rewrite from
the get go has been a bad idea.
Speaker 19 (01:21:53):
Even liberal women in Lesbians like Martine and de Usselo,
we are saying that this is absurd, that these policies
allow men to compete in women. That's what's happening with
the Title nine changes by Biden. But thankfully the courts
have said no.
Speaker 7 (01:22:04):
Paxson, also issuing the Biden administration to challenge the new
federal mandate requiring minimum staffing levels in nursing homes. Here
the law, actually, there's a law in Texas. These things
are regulated by the state, not the federal government. Seven
oh six is our time looking at our money. We've
(01:22:25):
got inflation, they say, tamed. At least the Democrats are
patting themselves on the back at it, expecting the Federal
Reserve to cut interest rates at the next meeting in September.
But we've got an American doctor shortage that's finally getting
the attention of the US Senate. A new bipartisan bill
being proposed to allegedly help doctors. Healthcare analyst David Blatt
(01:22:47):
says the government bureaucracy has cut physician reimbursement payments and
that's freezing out family doctors in single practices.
Speaker 20 (01:22:56):
We have a crisis in the number of primary care physicians.
That function is that access point for people who need
to get care. When they don't have it, they end
up going to the emergency room that's very expensive, or
they just don't go at all, and that could be
very bad because we're not exercising preventive care.
Speaker 7 (01:23:12):
More than half of Texas doctors say they're not taking
new Medicaid patients. A lot of them aren't taking new
Medicare patients either because of high regulations and low payments.
Astros when they're eighth straight, they beat the Raise two

Speaker 3 (01:23:36):
You said that, like Detroit's really bad. I don't know,
they're not as bad as the Chicago White Sox.
Speaker 7 (01:23:43):
No, I just hesitate to say. I don't want to
jinx anything about the White Sox. I'm sure we're Fryar
on news radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 1 (01:23:53):
Stay in touch on your drive in with Jimmy Barrett
and Sheriff Fryar. This is Houston's news here on Houston's
Morning News. This is interesting to me. Centerpoint has asked
a judge to dismiss its mandatory rate review that was
already pending before Hurricane Beryl. Why would they do that?
Speaker 3 (01:24:15):
You know what, just a few weeks ago they were
gonna they were asking for a rate increase. Now they
want the review put off until June of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (01:24:24):
Next year.
Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
Well, state law requires a rate review by the Public
Utility Commission of Texas every four years. Center Point's last
review is twenty nineteen, so they got to have it. Yeah,
they got to do it. They've got to do it.
Speaker 7 (01:24:39):
Well, they were getting so much criticism, and you know,
we were reporting sure that they had asked for a
rate hike, right.
Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
But here's yl here's the other interesting part of this
to me anyway, there are dozens of cities covered by
center Point, including the city of Houston, who have reached
out asking that same judge not the grant the company's
exemption from the review because their claim is that the
company is overcharging its customers by more than one hundred
million dollars a year woo. So they think that the
(01:25:11):
reason why Centerpoint wants to put that office so they
can keep overcharging for the next year. They don't want
to have a review now because they're afraid the PUC
would lower the rate. And so that's kind of where
that whole thing stands right now in the judge's hands
at this point. Whether or not I think the judge
is supposed to rule something today about whether or not
(01:25:32):
they're going to have to have that invatory review.
Speaker 7 (01:25:34):
So straightforward, Yeah, you provide a service, you have customers.
You do your best to have your customers. Though you
know they had a monopoly and then we deregulated that
are unregulated, so you've got competition now, but we really
don't because now the state has to oversee everything and
it's gotten so political. Yes, everything is political as opposed
(01:25:56):
to dealing with the reality of people suffer. What you
going to do to fix it? That's what you're elected
to do.
Speaker 3 (01:26:03):
Here's what I'm going to be following with interest this week.
As you reported this earlier share, is that Puerto Rico
got hit pretty hard by this last.
Speaker 7 (01:26:09):
Ercan population is without power right.
Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
Well, Puerto Rico is basically a third world country when
it comes to their electrical grid. They have one of
the worst electrical grids in the tray.
Speaker 7 (01:26:19):
It is before with Puerto Rico, but there are protectorates,
so we have to pave up pay for it.
Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
So it's gonna be interesting. What it's going to be
interesting to see is how long it takes for Puerto
Ricans to get their power back. We'll get they get
their power back quicker than we did.
Speaker 7 (01:26:32):
They vote Democrat.
Speaker 3 (01:26:33):
Yeah, we'll see seven to ten. Time for traffic and
weather together, we're checking out the drive. Hey sky Mine, dude.
Speaker 4 (01:26:39):
We've got Southwest Freeway. Okay, this is another reason you
get your traffic from AM radio, because I don't just
you know, read a screen for you. I actually we
questioned things sometimes Southwest Freeway.
Speaker 2 (01:26:50):
Even I need to be questioned Southwest.
Speaker 4 (01:26:52):
I've got two different stalls reported one at done Lavy
that's one of those pretty bridges, and then also a second.

don't believe that's two different deals. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Got back up from Kirby sixteen extra minutes on the

A little while back, I said, I can only believe
one of two things about the Trump assassination attempt. Either
that it was purposeful, meaning that the Secret Service or
was looking the other way, or somebody in the current
administration was allowing something to happen, or it was completing competence.
(01:32:24):
And I have a hard time believing they're that incompetent.
I think I have to revisit all this. Great Gutfeld
last night had numerous incidents that he was detailing about
just how incompetent the Secret Service has been.
Speaker 40 (01:32:38):
Two Secret Service agents were recently photographed dead asleep while
on duty. At mar A Lago, and instead of nudging
them awake, the photos were circulated to others on the detail.
The sleepers were never disciplined, but everybody got a good laugh.
In twenty nineteen, two Chinese nationals simply strolled onto the
grounds of Trump's Florida home, perhaps.
Speaker 7 (01:32:57):
Thinking it was Disney's Magic Kingdom.
Speaker 40 (01:33:00):
Worse, the Secret Service can't even protect itself. Two months ago,
a man his shorts and a T shirt walked through
an open door in the Miami Field Office's office and
spent the night. First, he took a shower, then downloaded
porn on a computer.
Speaker 2 (01:33:16):
It's weird. I usually do those two things in reverse.
Speaker 4 (01:33:22):
You too.
Speaker 40 (01:33:24):
Next morning, he asked employees where he could get a

the night at breakfast and then attend a tactical training session.
Is it any wonder a whack job can ride up
on a bike and shoot Trump.

Best Buy has better security. But there's more.
Speaker 40 (01:34:05):
In April last year, a drunk neighbor burst into the
home of National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. He probably took
off though when he saw Sullivan, the guy looks like
he escaped an autopsy. Now Sullivan gets secret Service detail.
Yet somehow a drunk still got past this crack squad

we're checking out that morning drive again. Here's skuy Mike.
Speaker 4 (01:36:45):
All right, gess you know, if you're gonna mess up,
do it in front of a million people. I'm feeling
very special. Southwest Freeway. I'm not blaming the camera shot.
This is outbound those a vehicle fire. I cleared it prematurely. Yeah,
it's still there. Two right lines, flashy likes. It's outbound
at the el for not inbound, and it scoots you
up both ways. You've got the diesel spill on the east.
(01:37:05):
Sam northbound exit ramp to Iten. Just jump off on
I mean, you know, get off at wood Forest North
sam roadwork called the Westfield westbound eastbound Imperial Valley here,
that's some pretty messed up stuff. And also Graham Parkway.

it's eighty one at your official severe weather station. News
Radio seven forty k TRH. It is time now for
(01:37:45):
the news. Here's Sherriff Ryer.
Speaker 7 (01:37:47):
Good morning. Everyone is now seven thirty two on news
radio seven forty k TRH and our top story this hour.
Speaker 13 (01:37:54):
Fighting inflation is one of our administration's top priority for
many Americans.
Speaker 4 (01:38:00):
Prices are still too high.
Speaker 7 (01:38:01):
When I am president, it will be my day one
priority to fight to bring down prices. Well, she's in
office now. Kala Harris shifting narratives on inflation over the years. Now,
in July, prices increased zero point two percent by the
government basket of prices. It drops the year over year
(01:38:23):
inflation number to two point nine percent, just in time
for the convention, the outing of Joe, and of course
the election. Speaking of inflation that we feel remember, Kala
Harris was a deciding vote in the so called American
Rescue Plan. That's the one that gave the green light
to green energy, massive government spending that created all of
(01:38:45):
this debt spending. Now she claims she's going to lower prices.
Speaker 28 (01:38:50):
The vice president and Democratic nominee for president isn't the
best in terms of strengthening the US economy.
Speaker 29 (01:38:56):
Kamala Harris doesn't have much of any economic perls Graham,
other than have the government spend more and create more inflation.
Speaker 28 (01:39:04):
Monica Showalter as deputy editor at The American Thinker. She
says Harris supported the Inflation Reduction Act, which led to
thousands of RS agents going after service workers that Harris
claims won't be taxed on their tips if she's elected.
Speaker 29 (01:39:16):
They sold it to the public as we're just going
after billionaires, and of course there's only about nine hundred
billionaires in the US, but they hired eighty eight thousand
dirs agents.

Speaker 7 (01:39:29):
Meantime, Donald Trump promised a packed house in Asheville, North Carolina,
that he would make America affordable again if he wins
in November.
Speaker 9 (01:39:37):
Inflation is destroying our country, is destroying our families.
Speaker 7 (01:39:43):
Trump gave point after point on how he will turn
it all around again and said he handed the Biden
Harris administration an economic miracle, and they turned it into
a nightmare. Democrat VP candidate Tim Wall says he has
agreed to a debate with Republican Jdvas on October first
with CBS.
Speaker 30 (01:40:02):
As for Vance, I strongly suspect we're going to be
there on October the first, but we're not going to
do one of these fake debates lor where they don't
actually have an audience there, where they don't actually set
the parameters in a right way where we can have
a good exchange of ideas.
Speaker 7 (01:40:16):
Vance on Fox last night, seven thirty four is Our Time.
A new warning about an ultra violent Venezuelan street gang
at the Texas border. A group of sheriffs from across
the country are saying that members of Trendearagua has been
given the green light to go ahead and attack our
law enforcement.
Speaker 31 (01:40:37):
We are getting the worst of the worst coming from
all these countries invading our southern border, and we are
absolutely not doing anything about it.
Speaker 7 (01:40:49):
Sheriffs aren't equipped to handle this. Clint McDonald with a
Texas Border Sheriff's Coalition says members of the gang started
showing up in March last year. They're very violent. The
White House does not taken the threat seriously in order
to do something about it. This invasion hitting South Texas
the hardest, and now the traditionally Democrat Hispanics who live
(01:41:09):
in South and Southwest Texas may very well vote Republican.
Speaker 24 (01:41:14):
The Democrat party seems to be leaving its more traditional
members behind.
Speaker 32 (01:41:18):
Hispanics are conservative people. We praise God. We want to
protect our children. We believe in strong family values. We
want to defend the border for our police officers.
Speaker 24 (01:41:29):
Retired Border Patrol agent Alberto Olivara has told KTRH people
are realizing that Democrats just don't align with those values.
Speaker 33 (01:41:35):
They're being more open minded and they're willing to ask themselves,
you know, who's going to really represent me better?
Speaker 24 (01:41:42):
Olivara says that when voting, people should think about the
candidates and what they stand for and believe in. Ethan
Buchanan News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 7 (01:41:50):
And one final note on this topic, illegal aliens finding
ways to evade getting caught, you know, getting smuggled in.
Eleven people were smuggled in and caught after a high
speed chase in Webb County, Texas. They were inside traffic
cones more like those barrels you know, did you see?
Seven thirty six is our time? You've got your kids
(01:42:12):
off to school? Probably but over in Austin. A Travis
County judge now blocking the tea from actually letting you
know what are the rankings of the school districts where
your kids are going? Christian Collins or the Texas Youth
Summit says it's outrageous.
Speaker 34 (01:42:28):
Families deserve to know exactly what school districts are ranked.
They need to know how each school maps up to
other schools when they're making important decisions. And this is
why school choice and an upcoming legislative session is so important.
Speaker 7 (01:42:41):
It is the fifth consecutive year that Texas families have
not received a full picture of their school's performance. Several
districts actually sued to stop the release because the star
test apparently are showing bad numbers and they're being graded,
they say, by a new automated system, one that apparently
doesn't fudge the results. It's seven thirty seven, now you
(01:43:05):
heard it on kt RH. The ASTRA was making it

But I can't compete with the Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Lovis,
who evidently is such a huge fan of mayo that
he eats it, he drinks it, and I'm not quite
he might even bathe in it. And evidently Hellman's Real
Mayonnaise found out about his love and signed him on,
(01:44:12):
and in his honor, they have created a will Levis
number eight Men's cologne that smell that will make you
smell just like mayonnaise. I'm trying to think what mayonnaise
smells like, because the only time I have mayonnaise usually is.
Speaker 7 (01:44:32):
Like produce mayonnaise if you make it fresh. I mean,
you know it's oil and eggs.
Speaker 2 (01:44:37):
Yeah, yeah, exactly right. I mean I didn't.
Speaker 3 (01:44:44):
I guess I didn't realize the smell was that distinct,
because it, yeah, whenever, whenever I have mayle, it's usually
like on a BLT, you smell the bacon more than
you smell the mayle. But I don't know. Are women
attracted by somebody who smells like mayonnaise? Because you know
what the heck? I won't say it. Evidently, oh you
(01:45:07):
know you want to. Evidently it is available, well, I
heard it sold out, but if you want to check
on its status, if you too would like to smell
like a jar of mayonnaise, they had a website setup.
It's called will Levis number eight dot com. Like I said,
last I heard it was sold out seven forty. There's
a lot of guys that evidently want to smell like mayonnaise. Dude,
(01:45:30):
do you want to smell like a condiments guy?
Speaker 4 (01:45:32):
I no, but I wouldn't mind smell like a Chick
fil a sandwich. I think that would make me popular.
Let's go over this way. Let's see. I got a
text here from Tammy from Channel thirteen. She's like this guy, Mike,
what is going on on Grand Parkway with? But do
we Frizelut and Queensland? You know what's going because she
talks like that. All right, we've got roadwork, Tammy, And
I'll tell the other people on TV. This is both
(01:45:52):
ways between Graham Parkway, Fry Road and Kingsland. And I
did a little field work there. That is a serious
wall of death on both sides. And yeah, it's pretty
messy stuff. You lose at least twenty one minutes trying
to go from the south end up to Katie northbound south.
Speaker 2 (01:46:06):
It's not pretty either.
Speaker 4 (01:46:07):
Over our shoulder, advisors, you got Katie Freeway, Grand Parkway,
We're smunched up here. From first of all, from right
there you lose eight minutes coming in outside of Highway six,
and then from heights to the President's Heads an extra
five or six minutes this way now Grand Parkway North,
Hold our beer. We've got a big scooch eastbound. I
don't see roadwork. I don't see the langeage there, but
(01:46:28):
that's a big backup. Two forty nine and over to
Hook's Airport, Terry, your friends at the golf ball are
going to be twenty one minutes late going eastbound.
Speaker 2 (01:46:36):
Yeah, East, Sam, the.
Speaker 4 (01:46:38):
Northbound ramp to it off the toll bridge. This is
a skip off at Market Street. They've shut it down.
There's a diesel spill on the ramp, so just get
off at Market Street. Get around that Southwest Freeway, Belford.
I don't see it very well. Vehicle fire is still

Speaker 3 (01:47:12):
Maybe yeah, that's a little hard lemonade maybe huh yeah, yeah.
Go there we go, there we go.
Speaker 7 (01:47:18):
All right.
Speaker 22 (01:47:19):
And by the way, Sky Mike, Tammy does not sound
like that. I have spoken to her and she does
not talk about it.
Speaker 2 (01:47:25):
Just stop everybody that voice. All right, God, all right.
Speaker 22 (01:47:29):
So we're hoping for some rain, and there's a little
bit of rain, like a twenty percent chance of a
shower storm today and tomorrow and a thirty percent chance
of rain Saturday. Next week at least starts off dry.
I don't see any rain Sunday and Monday. And when
the rain disappears, the temperatures heat up. We're in the
mid to upper nineties today and tomorrow, temperatures hot and
(01:47:51):
the heat in decks up to one ten.
Speaker 7 (01:47:53):
So just keep that in mind. That's not going to
change through the weekend.
Speaker 22 (01:47:57):
Saturday we're going to start seeing some triple digits and
Sunday and Monday upper nineties to around one oh two.
So once the rain disappears, that's when mother Nature turns
up the heat on us.

Speaker 3 (01:48:24):
So the Senate Judiciary Committee meant yesterday they've got a
real they've got a real thing going right now against
Justice Clarence Thomas. The Senate Democrats serving on that committee,
including Dick Durbin, who's the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee,
and they want the Department of Justice to criminally investigate
Clarence Thomas for taking a few gifts. They also want, obviously,
(01:48:45):
they want criminal charges brought against him. They want him
off the court is what they want. And they seem
to be willing to go to great lengths to try
to be able to make that.
Speaker 7 (01:48:53):
Happen to Aledo, to end Kavanaugh the.
Speaker 3 (01:48:55):
Cup, of course, of course they are, but all start
with Clarence Thomas, and that's the one I think they're
trying to get to first. Well, Senator John Kennedy had
had enough of that yesterday. I have some audio to
share with you coming up next.
Speaker 7 (01:49:06):
And they don't talk about Biden and all the free
vacations with the multi billionaires that he took, he stayed
in their houses and all this stuff. Yeah, they don't
bring that up.
Speaker 3 (01:49:14):
At all, of course, not anyway. We'll get to this
in just a second. First, we've got traffic and weathered together.
Speaker 4 (01:49:19):
Clarence Thomas, Clarence, Thomas Clarence, a different Clarence, isn't the
different Clarence.
Speaker 2 (01:49:23):
Yes, it is, my bad.
Speaker 4 (01:49:24):
Only guys get that Southwest Freeway outbound Stafford, I'm tired
you do all the talking.
Speaker 39 (01:49:29):
Guy Mike with a bell wave merges onto the freeway.
Speaker 2 (01:49:32):
There's two accidents, one.
Speaker 16 (01:49:33):
Under the bridge and fire trucks at the ramp.
Speaker 4 (01:49:36):
Ah that explains why both the southwest outbound is messed up.
Plus the ramp off the beltway, there's a vehicle fire
and erect six to ten west cat brookside the morning.

Stone Mike northbound, pronounce it.

but Democrats serving on the Senate Judiciary Committee going after
conservative justices Clarence Thomas in particular. Senator John Kennedy, one
of our favorites, had had enough of it yesterday he started,
I wish I had time to play the whole thing.
He started by coming up with a whole list of
things that Democrats should be worried about and evidently art
(01:51:42):
and then concluded with all this.
Speaker 41 (01:51:43):
Well, what are we concentrating on. We have decided, mister Chairman,
to attack another branch of our government now son of
the White House. I don't agree with you, respectfully, that
the fundamental issue here is bribery at the Supreme Court.
(01:52:05):
I don't believe that, and I don't believe you do either, sir.
I think the fundamental issue here is that there's some
people that don't like the opinions being issued by the
United States Supreme Court, and that is your right. I've
disagreed with many of the Supreme Court's opinions, but I
(01:52:26):
haven't tried to destroy them. I think you're making a
big mistake here, mister Chairman. I say that with all
the respect I can muster. And here's my question. No
one in the Milky Way, with the possible exception of
(01:52:48):
one of Hunter's hookers, believes that all you're interested in
is a few documents? Is your endgame to subpoena Clarence
Thomas and make him appear before the Judiciary Committee?
Speaker 2 (01:53:04):
Just a senator yield the floor.
Speaker 41 (01:53:06):
I was hoping I got a rhetorical I.
Speaker 7 (01:53:08):
I was hoping I could get our chairman to give
me some visions.
Speaker 42 (01:53:12):
I'm sorry I didn't realize that was directed to me.
But as will respond, our endgame is to follow the facts.
We cannot accumulate the facts without the cooperation of the witnesses.
When the witnesses, after repeated attempts to appeal to them,
have failed to produce these facts and documents, Uh, we
turned to a soprena. But I can tell you it's
after a long arduous journey, or have done everything we
(01:53:34):
can to try to get the voluntary cooperation.
Speaker 27 (01:53:39):
Well, Miss Sherman, do you believe we can subpoena Clarence Thomas?
Speaker 42 (01:53:42):
I haven't addressed that issue either, probably, and we say no.
Speaker 2 (01:53:48):
There you go.
Speaker 22 (01:53:49):
Yeah, the Senate Judiciary Committee chair there we are have
y'all even bothered to figure out if you were allowed
to do this?
Speaker 2 (01:53:55):
No, well we figured it out. You can't get to.
Speaker 7 (01:54:00):
Rule another branch, equal branch of government.
Speaker 2 (01:54:03):
No, you don't.
Speaker 3 (01:54:04):
There's a separation of powers for a reason. That was
Senator Lindsay Grant, by the way.
Speaker 7 (01:54:07):
Yeah, Lindsey, he's not the chairman. He's on the committee.
Speaker 2 (01:54:10):
Yes, he is on the committee.
Speaker 7 (01:54:12):

Speaker 5 (01:54:14):

Speaker 3 (01:54:14):
It's pretty clear what they're up to, very clear what
they're up to. Whether or not it goes anywhere remains
to be seen. But we'd like to let you know
about these things going on behind the scenes. Listen, y'all
