day three of the government shutdown. So how do you
raise more than six million dollars from small individual donors
and coming up at five to eight jobs where you
could be dumb but still make a lot of money.

yes to that question during a debate. We have it

As the government shutdown continues, another vot to re open
things takes place today it's not expected to pass.

This is real pain to real people, and Chuck Schumer
and the Democrats and the Senate seem not to care.

O Speaker Mike Johnson on Fox Business referencing the layoffs
and furloughs that the Democrats are causing. Meantime, the left
is trying to use the shutdown to attack Trump on
the economy.

CNN claims the current government shutdown could do serious damage
to the economy, which it calls fragile. But economists fans
again doesn't buy that at all.

There's always fear mongering, especially among the left, when the
government shuts down, given that oftentimes believe the government is
what it creates wealth and creates economic growth, but in
fact the private sector which produces increases in economic growth.

You know, its past shutdowns have had little to no
long term impact on the economy, and the stock market

Closer to home, the lawsuit against the new Texas congressional
map continues, and now Fort Bend County is the latest
to come up with a new redistricting plan. County GOPCHR
Bobby Everly says, there's been a shift.

What you see us doing is actually fighting back, saying no,
this is not fair and standing up to them. Now
across the state, Republicans they're actually standing up, they're fighting back,
and the American people and Fort ben County residents they
support it.

Fort Bend County Commissioners will receive the new map next
week in Austin. Democrats Senate Canada James tall Rico, who
claims he's against big money donors, raised six million dollars
since launching his Senate campaign just three weeks ago.

That's a high amount for just three weeks of his
first statewide campaign.

Speaker 7 (03:48):
The more important question besides acknowledging the fact there's a
lot of money and it's a good job done, it's
where's it coming from?

Political consultant Bill Miller says raising six million dollars in
just three weeks with small dollar donors is unfathomable.

I'm not saying he's had raise six million, and I'm
saying he hadn't got a lot of one hundred dollars contributions.
I'm just saying that's not how you get six million
bive sen a short period time.

Miller added that at the end of the day, Tyl
Rico's chances will come down to the issues, not fundraising.

By the way, tall Rico's primary opponent, Colin Ulred, has
raised only four million dollars since launching his campaign in July.

Democrats in cities like Chicago and Memphis don't want the
National Guard helping to clean up their violent crime problems.
But Houston Democrat Mayor John Wickmeyer welcomes to help announce
this week by Governor Greg Abbott.

It's not only personnel, but it's their technology, their forensic science.
They have air space coverage that HPD does not have, wit.

Meyer with our TV partner Channel two. Meantime, there was
a man shot and killed and an apart art and
complex overnight in North Houston.

HPD is still looking for the shooter.

Six construction workers were injured in an explosion at a
downtown Houston hotel building under construction yesterday.

Building shook and it rattled a little bit, but immediately
looked at my right and there's the breed coming down,
glass coming off the building, and then I look out
there's a big giant window that has smashed into the
middle of the middle of the road.

The holiday in at that location was scheduled to open
in December, however that might be delayed now. Five ZHO

to just under sixty one dollars a barrel. Gasoline prices
across Houston dropping down at two sixty six a gallon.
That's eleven cents cheaper than the average state wide. We've

seen energy prices skyrocket across the country over the last
several years, especially in Democrat states, and you can thank
the green energy projects that just don't work.

specific type of energy, especially the newer technologies, you are
effectively investing in the status quo that's not acceptable to
the tech driven energy demand that we're seeing.

Chris Johnson with the American Energy Leadership Institute says, in
order to meet energy demand, we should allow the free
market to invest in multiple forms of energy production, including nuclear.

Discovery was deeded to the Smithsonian after it was decommissioned
fourteen years ago. But earlier this year there was a
provision in President Trump's Big Beautiful Bill at allocated eighty
five million bucks for relocation. The Texans are on the

Right, we all know dumb people, right, of course, we do.
Some dumb people we know intimately, some of them were
related to perhaps some of them are in our own families,
some of them are our coworkers. But this is what's
interesting here is are there jobs where you can be
legitimately kind of dumb but still make a great living.

And the answer is yes, here's the list. Number one
on the list, and this does not surprise me at all.
Number one on the list, sales number one. Answer. Well,
first of all, there's a lot of sales positions at
a lot of companies. There's a lot of quote unquote
salespeople out there. You don't have to be super smart,

or you don't even necessarily have to be smart to
be a great salesperson. You just have to be personable.
People have to relate to you. You have to be
a people person. You have to be somebody who can
go out and shake hands and kiss babies and then
you know, sell whatever product it is you're selling. It
doesn't require a college education, doesn't require not that a

college education has anything to do with being smart or
being dumb, but you don't have to be smart to
make a great living being a salesperson. And again, that
is that is. I'm not saying that to try to
upset people who are in sales. A lot of people
are in sales. Let's face it, a lot of people
are in sales. I mean, to a certain extent, I'm
in sales. You're in sales. We're selling ourselves. Real estate

agents came to number two. Insurance salespeople came in third.
Healthcare on the business side, not the doctors on the
business side, oil and gas drilling, really longshoreman politicians they
only made number seven. I think I would have made
politicians number one on this list, number eight, influencers number nine,

only fans number ten, law enforcement number eleven. The military.
One person said, some of the smartest people I know
I met in the army. All of the dumbest people
I know I met in the army. Garbage and sanitation. Well,
you certainly don't have to be smart to be in
garbage and sanitation. But they pay pretty good money, don't they.

Maybe the smart thing to do is to take the
job that pays the most money. If you could go
get a college degree to become a teacher and make
less money than somebody who's a garbage working in garbage
and sanitation, who's the smart person Probably the person who's
who's doing the garbage. Five to ten time for traffic
and weather together. Artists, rap artists, Yeah, I mean, how
about how about musician in general? You don't have to

be smart to be in a band, right.

There's I mean, that's a certain I don't know.

we were one of the biggest offenders as related to
giving CDLs to non US citizens and not going through

the proper procedures to make sure they were fully vetted
and qualified to drive the trucks they were driving.

I mean, we were one of the worst defenders. Of course,
we have more CDL permits in Texas than any other state. Yesterday,
i should say Tuesday, we put some new rules into
effect in Texas. But we did that if we're no
other reason than to become compliant with the new rules
they knew were coming down for the FEDS. Sean Duffy,
the Transportation Secretary, yesterday announcing some of those new rules.

Good things are happening on Youth Radio seven KTRH. I'm
pretty sure that he's not caring good none. Now, what
is it called non domicile See? What if the hell
is a non domicile CDL? I never heard that term before.
It's a CDL issued by a state to an individual
who lives in a Ford country or a US state

(14:30):
that prohibits such licenses, but who meets the federal testing
and licensing standards for commercial drivers. Part of the problem, though,
is is is they're not doing a very good job
of actually testing these drivers before. They've been giving them
these non domicile CDLs. And evidently all that is about

(14:50):
to change. Here's the Secretary Transportation, Sean Duffy yesterday making
some announcements about all this.

Speaker 23 (14:56):
What our audit has already discovered should anger every single
MA can. So here's what we've learned. I just want
to walk through it first. Our audit revealed a systemic
breakdown among states to follow the law and issue licenses properly.
States are failing to follow even the most basic procedures.

(15:16):
We even uncovered widespread procedural errors, computer programming flaws, and
a gross lack of oversight in the states that issue CDLs.
This means that thousands of licenses that should never have
been issued actually were issued. States are issuing licenses that
extend months and even years beyond a driver's lawful presence

(15:39):
in the US. This is a direct incentive to stay
in our country illegally beyond their authorized work permit. They
have driver's licenses, so in some disturbing cases, they have
failed to validate a driver's lawful presence before handing them
a commercial license. Steeply disturbing, but even worse, our second

(16:02):
finding was that the current federal regulations are allowing dangerous,
unqualified drivers on American roadways. This means that even when
the rules are being followed, dangerous individuals who shouldn't be
near a big rig are getting behind the wheel and
causing crashes on our roadways. That is why today I'm
announcing two immediate major actions. Number One, we're issuing an

emergency rule that fundamentally overhauls who is eligible for a
non domiciled CDL. These tighter federal standards they're going to
keep Americans and families safe on our roadways. Now, this
is not a proposal. This is a final rule, and
it is effective immediately. Non citizens will not be eligible

(16:51):
for a CDL unless they meet a much stricter set
of rules. Second, all states must we didly pause the
issuance of non domicile CDLs until they can comply with
our new.

Rules, which I guess is why we've pretty much stopped
doing that. Here in Texas, they're not issuing them now.
They stopped doing that, I believe on Tuesday. I guess
the question would be here, does this make a already
bad trucker shortage wars? I mean, I really do believe
we need to follow these rules. We've had major incidents

(17:30):
involving non US citizen, non English speaking people with CDLs
issued from a different state who are out there driving
and causing accidents and killing people. So clearly something has
to be done. But there are those who are worried
about what this potentially does to the trucking system as
far as having fewer truckers and higher costs associated with

(17:51):
trucking goods and services and all that kind of stuff.

Boeing facing yet another setback with as much BLIGD triple
X seven X as a wide body plane has now
slaved to fly in twenty twenty seven. The delay could
potentially cost Boing billions of dollars in accounting charges. Luftanzo,
which is a launch customer for the seven seven seven X,
is already making plans for the delay. The jet is
already six years behind schedule, with Boeing CEO Kelly or

Berg attributing the latest delay to a quote mountain of
work rather than new technical issues. Cracker Barel has got
ties with the marketing company behind its controversial logo.

Change, The Restaurant Change.

The restaurant chain hired marketing from Profit last year as
part of a three year rebranding campaign including redesigning its restaurants.
Profit then created a new logo, which angered conservatives. Cracker
Barrel backtrack last month and returned the previous logo. Futures
right now all in the green, they are all the

Apple finally takes down the ice block app that was
being used to track agents and operations to a little
too light. Though two illegal aliens were killed in last
week shooting at an ice center in Dallas.

I think that it does put law enforcement officers in danger.
I think that's clear. We have evidence in this case
involving this sniper that he was active on that app.

US Attorney Nancy Larson on Fox Business. Meantime, violent leftists
continued to protest at facilities in cities like Portland.

The agitators out there typically are wearing all black and
are yelling stuff on the bullhorn.

We saw one targeted arrest.

They went off into the crowd arrested one guy who
they said was involved in spreading a bunch of red
paint on the federal.

So they say they have photos of him after that
incident of him covered in red paint, flipping double middle
fingers at agents on the roof.

Fox's Bill Malusian reporting meantime, President Trump says the US
is in a quote armed conflict with drug cartels following
strikes in the Caribbean against what have been designated as
terrorist organizations.

These narco terrorist organizations have declared warn America. The drugs
that they send here kill over one hundred thousand Americans
every year.

Or Republican Senator Eric Schmidt calls this the right move.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will headline the Turning Point
USA event in Lubbock this coming Tuesday. Meantime, TCU disputes

Democrat Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania has called out his
own sign for their extreme rhetoric which has led to
violence against Conservatives. Of course, so will they finally start
to moderate?

I mean, that's gonna be a big push for them
to make. We'll see if they actually go through with it.
I don't see it happening. I mean, I feel like
this is kind of the same story as we hear
over and over again, Trent.

Here's a result of Fetterman's shift, though approval amongst Pennsylvania
Democrats for Ftteran is down. It's up though amongst Republicans
five point thirty four. There are growing concerns over foreign
funds received by state schools in Texas like A and M.
New reports out of Israel's show the oil rich Arab

state of Qatar has been funding the ter group A
MAAS at the same time they've been sending big bucks
and research funding to Texas A and M.

Texas A and M disclosed four undred and fifty million
dollars from Guitar and one hundred million dollars going to
their engineering experiment station.

This is something Kate Bierley with the Texas Public Policy
Foundation warned lawmakers about. She says if Katar is funding research,
they have access to the end products. In twenty seventeen,
the school faced a similar investigation Atrh's were Israel says
Hammas directed the terrorist attack at a synagogue in Manchester yesterday,
the Jewish holiday of Yam Kapor. Three people were died,

three others seriously injured, and police in the UK today
say they shot one of the victims accidentally. Support for
Israel is falling, according to the latest new York Times numbers,
but it is mostly on the Democrats side of the Isle.
Right barts Joel Pollock says they have stopped supporting Israel
because Trump supports them.

It might be too late.

I think it could be temporary that you'll see Democrats
return to supporting Israel over time, but it could be
some permanent damages done as more voters and conscientious people
leave the Democratic Party, and what's left behind in their
weight will be the vocal left to the pro Palestinian left,
anti Semitic left.

companies have been so swamped with them. They're the hiring
managers are looking for way to separate the humans from

that it's an interesting idea is to charge you to apply.
You want to apply for a job that's opening at
a company, then you'll have to pay an application fee,
like you're applying to college or something. Don't know how
much the application fee would be, but about twenty percent

of company say they've considered a paid to apply system,
and nearly ninety percent of them say they're likely to
have to adapt it at some point. The application fee
could be as little as ten dollars, but it's a
novel idea. You want to work here, here's the application,
and we'll need a ten dollars application fee. On one hand,

this could be frustrating. I mean, if you're applying for
let's say a fast food job, and you are you know,
don't have a lot of extra money, and ten dollars
is a lot of money to you, then it might
be well, I can't afford to pay you to apply

the eyeballs on your resume because you're actually a person.
You're actually a person who wants to work there, who's
who's who's capable of working there, and he was willing

hope this solves it by going to the ballot box
in November and voting for some of the proposals that
would take away Judge's abilities to just let repeat defenders
out on cash bonds. To me, that's the biggest issue,

not so much rounding them up, but keeping them in
jail is the bigger problem. But I was grateful to
see that our Democrat mayor is not behaving like the
Democrat mayor in Chicago or Portland, Oregon, or any other
blue city which seems to want to turn away help

The mayor says that crime has gone down here in

is safe. Multiple state agencies will be flooding Houston and

Harris County's high crime areas extra manpower from DPS special agents.

We'll be working alongside HPD, the Harris County Sheriff's Office,
and other local law enforcement as part of Governor Greg

Mayor John Whitmeyer says Houston has already been working with
DPS since he took office.

We're we play state sales tax and so it comes
out of state budget.

I think I would probably be answering the media question
a little bit differently about what makes you think that
this is going to work. That's basically what she was saying,
and to which I would say, what have I got

to lose? And that's the part that I don't understand
why these big city mayors don't seem to want to
cooperate when given the opportunity for additional resources to fight crime.
If there's one thing that is a completely bipartisan issue

that will make a Democrat think twice about other Democrats,
it's crime. Most Democrats, at least people who vote Democrat
who are citizens, not politicians. They don't like crime anymore
than we like crime. They don't want to be victims
of crime. They want the streets to be safe. They
want their kids to be safe. So why would you

turn down the opportunity to make the streets safer. It
doesn't mean that they're going to turn into a Republican voter.
If you get help from a Republican and then it
turns out it works quite the opposite, they'll think more.
They'll think better of your tenure as the mayor of
that city because the city was actually safe while you
were the mayor. That's all they're going to remember about it.

straight down here we go. The oral functioning of the
brain reaches this peak between fifty five and sixty. Not
everything else does the same thing, though. Fluid intelligence, which
includes reasoning, memory span, and processing speed, tends to peak

in your early twenties, so you're quicker on your feet
when you're early. When you're in your early twenties, crystallized
intelligence was the accumulation of knowledge and experience continues to
build for decades. Personality traits also mature and increase through
early adulthood before leveling off later in life, like consciousness,

which the ability to see things through emotional stability, the
ability to keep calm under stress. Moral reasoning, the ability
to weigh competing principles, deepens with experience, producing sounder judgments
about fairness and duty, so as you get older that improves.

to get older. And cognitive flexibility the ability to shift

of those things favor with age. So the older you get,
