Speaker 5 (02:25):
There was no apparent connection between the church and the shooter.
And this all came after three people were killed with

bailed determinations day in and day out, need this tool.
To protect the people of Texas.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
State Senator Joan Hoffman there.
Speaker 5 (05:31):
This is one of seventeen constitutional amendments on the ballot

it could bury Democrats for a generation.
Speaker 12 (05:42):
They'll have to choose whether or not to completely surrender
to their radical base.
Speaker 13 (05:45):
Their energy comes from the populist socialist wing, and that
will turn a lot of people off. It is truly
a problem for Democrats.
Speaker 12 (05:54):
Political consultant Luke Miscia says that's why embracing their radical
base will hurt them in the twenty twenty eight election.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Seven is our time here in Houston's morning news. Here
I find myself on a Monday morning doing what. I
don't know why I do this to myself. I really don't,
but I try to make sense out of things that
don't make any sense at all, things that are completely nonsensical.
It's a bad hapbit. I just can't help myself. I
(07:32):
analyze these things, and I go, Okay, there's got to
be a reason here. Even if the reason is just
that this dude's crazy. What's the what's the motivation? Why
does a guy for forty year old man with a
wife and a young child, who was a veteran, a
(07:52):
marine veteran. What happens? What happens decorated marine veton veteran.
I'm my dad, you know, war decorated. Unless this is
some sort of a PTSD type of type of event,
I'm hard priced to figure out what the hell happened here?
What what makes a guy get up on a Sunday morning,
(08:15):
you know, go in a vehicle that has improvised explosive
devices in there, drive the vehicle through the front doors
of a Mormon church, hop out, and start shooting and
basically burn the church down. What what happened in his world?
(08:36):
You just you don't know what happened in this world.
I guess we might. We won't know directly from him.
He's dead. Maybe the wife can shed some light on this.
I have no idea, but at first glance, you know
the motivation part. What what motivated this guy to do this?
Speaker 15 (08:52):
Why?
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Why did he pick this particular target. He has no
connection from what we understand, he has no connection with
the church, no no connection what's soever. Didn't go to
the church as far as we know. He's not anti Mormon,
as far as I know, we just don't know. We
just don't know. Something snapped somewhere, and you know, I
(09:14):
guess it'll be our job to try to figure out
what that something was that snapped, so we can try
to recognize it going forward. But we as we find out,
and here's the really frustrating part for me, as we
find out, you know, they'll probably will be a mental
health component involved with this one. What went into his
thinking about it could have been it could be something
crazy and stupid. It could have been something to do
(09:36):
with Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 15 (09:37):
I don't know. That's one thing I can think of. Of.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
So where is there a Mormon connection here? The only
Mormon connection I see is you know that Charlie Kirk
was killed in Utah by kid who came from a
Mormon family. But that's got nothing to do with the
Mormon Church. And the kid was not a practic practicer
of the religion. So I had no idea. Again, here
I am trying to make sense out of the nonsensical
(10:00):
five to ten traffic and Mother Together manifesto. Yeah, not
that we know.
Speaker 15 (10:05):
If you's go.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Huh okay, let's hit this deal on two ninety inbound
at the west Loop. We're not anywhere near two ninety up.
Just be a little careful. I think the super sized
ninja when they get there will take a right line.
This is two ninety inbound at six ten. Some kind
of tanker sitting on the side for some reason, and
he's got a little lane protection from the police.
Speaker 15 (10:24):
Thank you. Inbound.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
We're not bad. It's not even causing us slow down.

We've got lots of sunshine on tap force here today
as temperatures remain above average trend that's going to be

as we start off the week, those will build through

load to mid seventies tonight, low nineties tomorrow with sunshine
and load of mid nineties on Wednesday.

Speaker 15 (11:26):

Did take on the day coming up on five Funny
here on Houston's Morning News. All right, a few things
to catch up on from last week. Of course, we've
got the murder in Michigan at the Mormon Church. We've
got that story all morning long here this grand blank Michigan.
It's a suburb of Flint. Nobody up there wants to
say they're from Flint. Flint's kind of the poster child
(12:08):
for you think Detroit's a poster child for bad government
and in a rundown city Flint. Flint is in my mind,
far worse than Detroit. But because there's no comeback in
Flint anyway, we will have that story for you all
morning long. But also there's talk about now that James
Comy has been indicted, well, there'll be another indictment coming
(12:30):
for Hillary Clinton. We'll take a look at that story next. First, though,
traffic and weather together, where sky Mike is already knee
deep into the bubble wrap.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
Yeah, this's not a whole lot for me to do
right now. We're looking at two ninety inbound at the
West Loops. So far it's interesting to look at on camera, though,
if you're playing the home game with me, it's on
camera four zero one. This is two ninety inbound at
six ten. If you're on the direct connector going to
the Kadie Freeway, it's nothing. But if you're on the
mainlines trying to get to the west Loop to go
(12:59):
down to Uptown, just watch out on the right side
and as soon as the supersize gets there, I know
they're going to take a right line. Something scooching up
now heading the Deer Park. This is two twenty five
outbound right before Scarborough Lane. It's a reported wreck. I
got backups now. Alan Janoah Skymike on the Generator Supercenter

I guess what choose on the other foot? Now right,
choose on the other foot.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Now, yes, we have James Gummy indicted by grand jury
and Alexandria, Virginia not exactly the most conservative place on
the planet, and there's talk that maybe Hillary could and
well no doubt should but could be indicted next. So
let's listen in to all this. The President Trump was
(14:36):
at the Ryder Cup, which the US lost, by the way.
At the Ryder Cup, got asked about the Coombe indictment
and whether or not it was about justice or whether
or not it was about revenge, and then of course
we get into the Hillary thing. So stand by, there's
certainly going to.
Speaker 17 (14:52):
Be more indictment that's coming over the next three and
a half years the Trump administration. If you look at
the Coombe indictment, Martha. This was a grand jury indictment
delivered in al Andrey, Virginia, not exactly a hotbed of
Donald Trump's political support. There were three were requested indictments.
The grand jury returned two of those three indictments, so
I think they showed they were judicious. I think that
(15:13):
it showed clearly that there were a couple of things
that James Comy did wrong.
Speaker 18 (15:17):
Will be lucky if there is not a grand conspiracy
charge brought. Comy and company and all of them got
involved in the so called Clinton plan, which, if you remember,
the Clinton plan was to do what to say that
the Trump campaign was cocluding with the Russians. That's like
the quintessential definition of conspiracy.
Speaker 15 (15:34):
This is the tip of the iceberg.
Speaker 19 (15:36):
He lead classified information to create a narrative politically. Yeah,
I think that's a strong case, but there's so much else.
Call me knew then what we all know now and
ignored it. I believe he withheld at sculpatory information from
the court because he wanted Trump to be found guilty.
Speaker 20 (15:55):
Could Hillary Clinton be the next person indicted? During a
twenty sixteen congressional hearing, I pressed Komy on Hillary and
he denied that she ever lied to him.
Speaker 15 (16:07):
Did Hillary Clinton lie under oath? Not to the FBI?
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Not in case we're working.
Speaker 21 (16:14):
Did you review the documents where Congressman Jim Jordan asked
her specifically, and she said, quote, there was nothing marked
classified on my emails, either sent or received end quote.
Speaker 22 (16:28):
I don't remember reviewing that particular testimony.
Speaker 15 (16:30):
I'm aware of that being said, though.
Speaker 21 (16:32):
Did the FBI investigate her statements under oath on this topic?
Speaker 22 (16:37):
Not, to my knowledge, I don't think there's been a
referral from Congress.
Speaker 21 (16:40):
Do you need a referral from Congress to investigate her
statements under oath?
Speaker 15 (16:47):
Sure? Do you'll have one?
Speaker 23 (16:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 15 (16:51):
That came a.
Speaker 20 (16:52):
Few hours later. Anita, where do you see this going?
Speaker 15 (16:57):
Well?
Speaker 24 (16:57):
I think we all heard Devin Nunez talk about how
Hillary was involved in pushing this plan that Trump was
colluding with Russia. Right, I happened to pull an article.
This is an article. This is CNN article from twenty
twenty two. Okay, it says Hillary Clinton personally approved plan
(17:18):
to share Trump Russia allegation with the press in twenty sixteen.
Campaign manager says, so this is not some right wing conspiracy.
This is not some Republican talking points. This is a
CNN article from three years ago. So I think I
wouldn't be surprised if she could be indicted and finally
(17:39):
have to answer some of these questions about this Russia
collusion narrative and this dossier.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
That's from the Big Weekend Show. By the way, Devin Nuniez,

He has been in Congress for a while. Five twenty

The President meets with congressional leaders today, trying to avoid
a government shutdown that would start on October first, which
is Wednesday. Democrats continue to complain about the indictment of
former FBI Director James Comy, but even Trump haters think
Comy is in deep trouble.
Speaker 28 (21:14):
I've learned that Komy was actually very much involved in
the Russia investigation in a very negative way. And chances
are this DOJ has every single email, every text message,
every communication. I believe likely he will be found guilty.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Former Trump lawyer and ex Cohn Michael Cohen on MSNBC

Speaker 32 (23:07):
This has been a big issue specifically in Texas over
the last couple of legislative sessions, and so the Supreme

that states across the country can have better clarity on
what they are and are not allowed to do under
the Constitution.

I'm sipping on a little coffee right here. That's good.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
It's the only time I drink coffee. I don't drink
it on the weekend. I only drink it here at work.
It's not that I don't like coffee. I do, by
the way, Spational Coffee Day. It's not that I don't
like the taste of coffee.
Speaker 37 (26:41):
I do.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
In fact, when I drink it, I drink it black.
My theory is is that if you have to put
either a sweetener in it or cream in it, that
you don't really like coffee, you're you're turning it into
something else, because you know, coffee in itself has its
own distinct flavor depending on what kind of coffee get.
(27:01):
And I don't like all the fancy stuff either. I
don't like all the foo foo flavors. Give me the
straight up. Just tastes like a premium cup of coffee.
National Coffee day. Who do you suppose is the number
one coffee town coffee capital.
Speaker 15 (27:15):
In the United States?
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Now, I know you're thinking probably Seattle, right, According to
this report. The annual Report of the Best Coffee Cities
in America ranked one hundred cities based on things like
local coffee popularity, coffee roasters and shops, coffee spending, and
prices in coffee culture. This year, Portland, Oregon, came in
number one. Oh, you mean the place that we're going
(27:36):
to be sending in the National Guard because of Antifa
attacking Ice. I guess you work up a thirst. I mean,
if you're gonna be up all night rioting, you're probably
gonna have to drink some coffee, right. Number two Orlando, Florida,
Long Beach, California, Miami, Seattle, Tampa, San Francisco, Austin, Texas, Oakland, California,
(27:57):
and Pittsburgh. Dead last Laray, Texas. Detroit was one of
the worst major cities at ninety seven. I guess they
don't care the bunch about coffee Detroit. Sixty six percent
of Americans say they drink at least one cup daily.
That's up about seven percent from twenty twenty. Specialty coffee
searching in popularity. Forty eight percent of adults say they're
(28:18):
into specialty coffee, you know certain flavors, I guess, up
from thirty seven percent in twenty twenty one. Coffee prices
are also up. Tariffs has a little bit to do
with that. The a pound of ground roast coffee, the
average price is now at eight eighty seven. That's up
forty percent from a year ago when it costs six
to thirty one. So here's my question on National Coffee Day,
(28:41):
your thoughts on coffee?
Speaker 15 (28:44):
Coffee? Do you like it? Do you not like it?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Do you have to put cream or sugar in it
in order to be able to drink it? If you
don't drink it because you like the taste, do you
drink it for the caffeine? Your thoughts on coffee? You
go to the iHeartRadio ap KTRH, hit the talkback button,

You might see a bit of an increase in a

Speaker 2 (31:37):
So there's been I believe a resurgence in religion. Despite
what happened in Michigan over the weekend with that shooting
at the Mormon church, there has been a resurgeon. We're
seeing more people going back to church. I'd like to
discuss that with doctor Shannonholzer, a professor at Houston Christian University.
I would also like to talk to him about a
(31:58):
manpower problem, particular to the Catholic Church. Fewer priests every year,
So how do you get around that five point fifty
Right now? Time for traffic and weathers? Church, What's that's
going on?
Speaker 3 (32:08):
I want to go to church, but I won't drink

Speaker 2 (33:44):
I mean, how many people knew that, mister mister song
Carrie Alaison? What that means? It is, Lord have mercy?
Is what that means? Kind of like a prayer. Five
fifty three our time here in Houston's Born News. We're
joined by doctor Shannon Holzer, professor at Houston in Christian University.
There's a lot of things we could talk about, doctor Holtzer,
but I just want to get your thoughts. In general,
(34:06):
since the Charlie Kirk killing, we have seen a resurgence
of church attendance. What do you make of that? Do
you think that's a temporary thing or do you think
that maybe is finally people turning back to the church.
Speaker 40 (34:18):
I think it's a catalyst that gets people who are
on the fence to make a decision, perhaps because if
they weren't going to make a decision for Jesus to
begin with a shooting of guys, probably not going to
do that. But other people had probably been planting seeds
in their lives.
Speaker 31 (34:37):
Watering it, and some are down the line.
Speaker 40 (34:39):
Comes a harvesting time, and then you know, catalyst like
Charlie Kirk happens and people go, no, this is something
that I need to make a decision, for a decision
for good versus evil, and certainly I'm not going to
stand on the other side of that, And I think
there's a good harvest of that. We'll see what seeds
(35:01):
fell on the good soil with time and how long
they last. What we hope for our mature Christians who
could stand on their own without the need of a
pastor constantly cultivating their faith for them makes sense.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
The Catholic Church itself, however, has a manpower problem. If
you're a priest every year, does that indicate to you
that perhaps the Catholic Church at some point is going
to have to consider doing something different. Do you think
they'll ever, consider allowing women to become priests for example,
versus just nuns.
Speaker 40 (35:36):
I don't think so, but they do have a short
disparity where the Catholic Church in the last couple of
years has been growing worldwide, and even in Africa and Asia,
the priestthood actually has grown, but in Europe and America
it seems to have kind of contracted a bit. So
(35:57):
what you see are international priests. If you go to
a parish, you'll have a Nigerian priest or a Filipino priest,
and it's pretty interesting. Another thing they've done is they've
made use of the deacons who can be married, and
often churchgoers don't even know the difference, except for the
priest is the one who praised over the sacrament at church.
(36:21):
So there's a lot of the work being taken out
by the those who can get married. And then there
are the eucharistic ministers who do other ministries as well,
So it gives an opportunity in the Catholic Church for
others to step up and do things.
Speaker 15 (36:38):
Well.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
And lastly, you know, it's a difficult topic, I know,
but there is violence over the weekend in Michigan at
a Mormon church do you are you concerned about more
violence being directed at Christians in general?
Speaker 40 (36:50):
Yes, yes, i am. I think because the Christians have
a prophetic voice and they're speaking aup against certain things
that are going on in society, specifically the trans movement.
And not to blame trans the trans people right now,
but there seems.
Speaker 31 (37:07):
To be.
Speaker 40 (37:09):
Them in the news right now doing such things and
being motivated by this suggesting that if you view their
their lifestyle or how they are as hateful, they painted
that way and thus, you know, they justify getting rid
of you. And I think that's going to work the
(37:29):
apposite effect for that for them.
Speaker 31 (37:32):
I don't think it's going to get people to see
their worldview any better.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
No, you're certainly right about that, doctor Holzer. Thank you
appreciate your time, Doctor Shannon Holzer, Professor at Houston Christian University.

Have it, it's hard, dirty work but thank god we
have people who. Do it Here, in texas six twenty
three at, a time Here in houston's, morning news what's
always interesting is the price. Of oil of where the
price of oil is and where. It's Going car INGRAM
Joins Us texas Alliance Of. Energy producers it all gets
down to supply, and Demand, Right car it, always does it.
Speaker 33 (51:56):
Always does i'm actually, Pardon me i'm actually economist by
but you don't really even need to be one. Of
those those, two things supply and demand and what they're
doing relative to one another always sets. The, price ultimately
there may be a little short, term noise but it's
supplying demand that drives what the price of crude oil
(52:17):
is and therefore what the price of.
Speaker 2 (52:18):
Gasoline is, All, right well that short term thing you
were talking about was right After the president announced that
he Was. BACKING ukraine i assume that the reaction on
oil prices, going up at least temporarily, going up was
the idea that we may somehow disrupt the oil supply
coming out of that part of.
Speaker 33 (52:36):
The, world, yeah Bingo the ukrainian, military action and this
whole thing is Cutting into russia's continued ability to produce.
Crude oil and, they are by, the way the third
largest crude oil producing country on, the planet Behind The
united States And. Saudi arabia so if oil production starts
(52:57):
to fall off in the third largest, global producer it
matters to. The marketplace and in addition to the war
cutting Into to russia's physical ability to continue to produce,
crude oil you Have The united states And the president
Of The united states pressuring countries that are buying crude
Oil from russia and knock that, Off too and so
(53:18):
all of these things point to point to some decrease
going Forward in russian crude oil supplied to the. Global,
MARKETPLACE yeah.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
I know as far as producing more oil here In The,
united states a lot of it. Is politics certainly during
the past administration when things weren't very friendly for the,
oil industry, you know we didn't see quite as. MUCH
production i think that's correct Me if, I'm WRONG but
i think that's wrapped up a little Bit Under, president
TRUMP because i think the oil industry knows that they
have a friend right now In The, white house and
that there are not going to be any policies coming
(53:49):
out that are going to make investment in new oil. Rigs, risky.
Speaker 33 (53:55):
Yeah it was a tough four years Under the, biden administration.
For sure it just seems like those folks got out
of bed every day and exhibited kind of a foundational
contempt FOR the us domestic oil and gas industry who've
done Such fantastic you just mentioned it at the beginning of.
The segment the people that get up and do this
(54:15):
hard work, every day people that put globs of money
at risk to provide us with what we have really
achieved the thing we said we always wanted long, term
abundant affordable SUPPLY of us domestically. Produced energy that has Changed,
under trump. Thank goodness and as, you mentioned prices are lower.
(54:40):
For gasoline that also means prices are lower for. Crude
oil the recounts nowhere near what it was a couple of.
Years ago it's been steadily declining over all that period.
Of time but even, given that we're still producing. More
crude as we sit here right now Today and september
of twenty, twenty five we are producing more crude oil
(55:00):
In The united states than we ever. Have before that's
going to fall off a little bit because of lower
prices in the, ric count but it's not going to
fall off. Very much that's not going to fall off.
Very fast so we continue to be a major SUPPLIER of,
us energy not only to our, own economy but increasingly
around the world as. Well well the other Thing that,
(55:21):
i've Noticed and i'm sure you can speak to this
far BETTER than. I can the Other thing i've noticed
now versus the past administration is we don't seem to
have the volatility and oil prices that. We had we
seem to be pretty steady on. The prices stability is
a wonderful thing, for consumers and there's no doubt. About
that crude oil prices have fallen fairly dramatically between twenty
(55:43):
twenty four and twenty, twenty five but again this is
the consequence OF stable us production and continued and by,
THE way opec adding production back to the MARKETPLACE and
opek plus and pretty significant numbers in twenty. Twenty five
so supply has generally gone up in terms of global
(56:07):
production in twenty. Twenty five and if you've got rising
supply in the face of generally. FLAT demand, i mean.
We don't we don't have a recession or any such
thing IN the us and in most places around, the
world but we don't have great growth going great, Guns
either so again rising supply relative to relatively. Flat demand
(56:30):
prices have, come down but as, you mentioned this is
a good thing, for consumers and gasoline prizes have fallen,
this YEAR and i think consumers are appreciating this.
Speaker 2 (56:40):
All right last one for, your car and that is.
The price has been trying To encourage europeans to get
their ENERGY. From us do you think he's been successful
in getting the. MESSAGE across i think.
Speaker 33 (56:50):
He's been somewhat successful and may be more successful. GOING
forward i certainly hope that's. The case we still have
a handful of, small ish pardon me nate countries that
Are buying russian. Crude oil mostly those Offenders are China,
and india and we are continuing to export greater volumes
(57:10):
of crude oil out Of The. United STATES and i
think the message ought to be both in terms of
crude oil and natural gas AND liquified lng liquefied. Natural
GAS the us can be a long term reliable supplier
of energy To you russian. Crude oil it may seem
like a, deal now but it's always going to, be
volatile and it's always going to be an unreliable supply,
(57:34):
going forward never mind the fact that your conscience may not.
Permit it, SO yes i hope we can be more
successful than, going forward and he has had success in that.
Speaker 2 (57:45):

So the Superintendent Of the Public Schools, Of, des moines
iowa is an illegal alien by the name of at least.
Speaker 15 (01:11:41):
We think of this, Is His Name.
Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
Doctor ian roberts, over the weekend the school board voted
seventh to nothing to suspend him, with pay evidently or
to put him on put him on. THE administrative leeve, i,
guess right well we're not going to fire him till
we know. All, the facts well. Here's the facts guys in.
The country illegally aren't you supposed to check for things
(01:12:06):
like citizenship before. You Hire People here's jed wolf by,
The way Forward Department of homeland security head talking.
Speaker 15 (01:12:14):
About, the situation obviously the school district did not do.
Speaker 23 (01:12:17):
Their due diligence he has a criminal, record as well
so clearly they didn't do any type. Of background investigation
the amazing part here is he has, No work authorization
so when they enter this individual's information into their system
in order, to get paid to pay taxes, and the
like All sorts of french flags should have should have.
Been PROMPTED there so i think it'll be interesting to
(01:12:38):
see what they say to see how this individual did he?
Use an alias did he how did? This COME about
and i think it just it begged the further question
of the amount of illegal aliens that are Here In
the united states working in everyday jobs, and the like
and some of them like this individual who has, a
possession charge has other criminal acts, on their record and
(01:13:02):
to be so close to school children right to be
part of the education System There in del moyes. Is,
really troubling look the, school system there just like any
other employer, around the country has an obligation to make
sure that everyone that they're hiring is Here In the
united states legally as the ability. To work legally so
if THEY'RE not, a us citizen then they have some
type of work authorization provided by, the federal government in
(01:13:24):
This case The Department. Of homeland security he didn't have,
any of this and so the question is did he
provide a fraudulent socialist security number and was operating? As
someone else, AND if not i think there's a lot
of questions that that school system. Has to answer and
the question is are there others? There, as well well
here's one of the questions they need. To be asking
(01:13:45):
so he had a, criminal gun charge why did that
not set? Up, alarm bills well he provided an explanation that. We,
found satisfactory okay but that maybe should have been a
red flag to you that maybe you should delve a
little bit more deeply, into this guy which clearly. THEY
didn't do.
Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
I don't know WAS he a dei hire that. THAT'S
a possibility i. Have no idea maybe he was the
only black candidate for the job and they were hell
bent on hiring. A black superintendent i. Have no idea

Dark democrats that are breaking Points with. The american Public Let's,
ask luke, masius political consultant read all, sorts of stories
look about the imminent Demise Of. THE democrat party i
think that, a little bit. That's wishful thinking what?
Speaker 13 (01:29:07):
DO you, Think. I, agree jimmy ultimately it Is true
the democrats have to figure out whether they're going to
continue with the establishment. Controlling their party, unfortunately for them
the alternative is the. Populist socialistic movement and so if
(01:29:27):
you hand over the reins to the second, most influential
group what does that mean for your electoral? Chances moving
forward we see This actually in texas where we redistricted
Congressional Districts and Lloyd Doggett and greg kasar. Were Put together,
lloyd doggett, is you know decades, long serving congressman definitely,
(01:29:48):
represented The Establishment and greg kazar is a known avowed
Socialist And ultimately lloyd doggett opted to not run For
reelection because greg was probably going to. Win the primary
that's the conversation that's. Happening right now as people look
at the, shift that's happening the question is is?
Speaker 15 (01:30:05):
It this cycle is?
Speaker 13 (01:30:06):
It next cycle is it ten? Years from now is
there going to be a point In time for democrats
fully turn over, to the Reins TO the bernie aoc
wing of their party since that is the wing that
has the most.
Speaker 2 (01:30:21):
Energy, right now well it's also the younger portion, of
the wing, the Older Portion the chuck schumer's. Of the
world they're all getting at or a. Near retirement age
and if everybody coming Up In the democrat party is
more coming from, the socialist realm then that tells you
all you need to know about what the Future Of the. Democrat,
Party is.
Speaker 13 (01:30:39):
Right that's right and the Problem for some democrats is
they might not one hundred percent agree with everything that,
that wing says claims believes are. The policy solutions but
those are the policy positions you. Have to take AND
that's Where i think america needs to wrestle with understanding
the reality Of Where the democrat party Is In. THE
republican party i think it's a good thing that if
(01:31:01):
you don't say your pro life it's very.
Speaker 15 (01:31:03):
Hard to rise But.
Speaker 13 (01:31:05):
In the democrat party it's getting to be the point
where if you don't say you, want open borders if
you don't say that you want democratic Socialism In the United,
states of america.
Speaker 15 (01:31:14):
You can't rise.
Speaker 13 (01:31:15):
Up the ranks and that's going to be a difficult
issue with how left their.
Speaker 15 (01:31:20):
Base, is getting.
Speaker 2 (01:31:22):
Well here's, the question though ultimately for any, political party's
success and that is can they bring enough people? Along
with them do we have a younger generation that is
it admires socialism so much or hates capitalism so much
that they would prefer to see how, socialism works out
even though it.
Speaker 15 (01:31:40):
Never works out it's.
Speaker 13 (01:31:42):
A great question republicans need to recognize the fact that
young people actually don't want to be part of the
establishment wing. Of either party so if The pitch for
republicans is this old chamber of commerce when it all
costs VERSION, of the gop then it's not going. To
be compelling they actually are very attracted to a. More
(01:32:04):
populist message In this, last NOVEMBER. Election what Jd Vans
and donald trump embodied was a more populist SHIFT in
the gop Messaging while the democrats were stuck with the
Establishment Messaging. Of kamala harris if you Switched that and
republicans had A more Establishment chamber of Commerce candidate and
democrats had a populist you would see a significant shift in.

The young vote one of the things that's been talked
about a lot with The Death of charlie kirk is
the fact that young People Voted for donald trump with
a larger SHIFT towards the gop than at any presidential election.
In modern history and the only way we keep that
is by understanding that affordability is an issue the issues
that matter. To young voters they can't, Buy a home
(01:32:47):
they have no prospect of being able to provide for
their family on a single income while maybe getting married
and having somebody stay home. With the kids these are
Part of the american dream that used to be easily
accessible by a way working class family that are increasingly getting.
Harder to attain and so as LONG as the gop
can stay, focused on that we can keep that shift
that happened in the last presidential election in place and
