They say they want an extension of Obamacare subsidies set

repeal of health care provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill. Meantime,
the Vice President says layoffs of federal workers are likely
coming in the coming days, which would be a departure

Speaker 6 (03:01):
Democrats are still demanding things like Obamacare subsidies and PBS
funding in order to lift the shutdown. Thanks to efverage
from President Trump, who pledged to cut waste, frauded abuse,
the federal workforce could shrink by two hundred and seventy

government to collapse.
Speaker 11 (03:20):
We saw this happen when Elon Muff bought Twitter and
drastically cut the number of people working for Twitter, and
Twitter worked out just fine without all that access. The
federal government can run more efficiently without all the extra blot.
Speaker 6 (03:32):
That's Matt Margolis with PG Media. He says that thanks
to this massive drawdown in the federal workforce, you can
expect the US government to save around twenty eight billion

Speaker 13 (04:20):
Joshua Travino the TPPF, says, the big question is trusting
the regime as a whole, not just Shinbaum, and we
have to tread carefully. Even if Shinbaum has good intentions.
Speaker 12 (04:30):
It is still a regime that's shot through with cartelmen

Speaker 15 (05:45):
Violent crime in Houston is down about twenty two percent
compared to last year. Murders are also down, but citizens
in this area remain concerned about crime, especially violent crime.
Speaker 6 (05:57):
The governor also announced a new crime initiative coming to
Houston to catch some of the most dangerous criminals in
the city. Will have more on that coming up at

Speaker 5 (07:16):
I take the Beltway sometimes and I also take the
West Park Toll Road ktr H, time saving traffic CoNEXT
on the ten.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Well, speaking of.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
Drive ins, and I have to bet I don't have
a lot of experience lately with this. I don't. I don't.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
We don't eat a lot of fast food, very little
fast food. And when we do eat fast food on
that rare occasion, like water Burger is the notable exception
in our house. Maybe an occasional Chick fil A, but
that's about it. I can't remember the last time I
been to McDonald's or Burger King. Every now and again,
I'll get this weird. I really would like some Taco Bell.
(07:52):
You ever get that mood? You know, it's it's like,
you know, like you're like you're cheating on something, like
you're going to the dark side of town to go
to Taco Bell. And I have ordered things through Taco
Bell through their AI, you know, when you get to
the window. But the rest of the time, Elizabeth always
orders things in advance on her app because she she's
getting points and that kind of stuff. The woman likes
(08:14):
to collect points. What can I tell you? So we
make the orders there and then you know it's ready
for us. We just pick it up. But anyway, here,
here's the latest time drive through is. Maybe you've noticed this,
maybe you haven't in touch. Ins I released its annual
drive through study, and despite AI's help, America's drive throughs
got a little slower this year, so it didn't help
(08:35):
make it faster. I thought that was well. Part of
the idea was to make it faster. I think the
other part of the idea was to make it easier
to understand, because you know a lot of people working
fast food restaurants have accents and and sometimes it's it's
the communication is a little difficult. So the AI solves
that part of it. As long as you don't screw
up the AI by making a weird order or a
(08:58):
request it's not on the menu, then it freaks AI up.
AI doesn't know what to do. So the average time
you wait in to drive through now is five minutes
thirty five seconds. It's up nine seconds from last year's
five twenty six. The fast food places they looked at,
Taco Bell was the fastest at four minutes and sixteen seconds.
KFC came in second at four to twenty one. Tim
(09:21):
Horton's we don't have any of those, but it's like
a East Coast Canadian doughnuts sheep kind of thing. Tim
Horton was like a hockey player an NHL hockey player
four to twenty five in RB's at four thirty two.
Chick fil A had the slowest drive through at seven
minutes and six seconds, but only because it's so popular
and the lines are so much longer. They actually rank
(09:42):
first if you look at the total number of cars
in line. They also rank first, and friendliness in first,
and overall satisfaction not counting the coffee chains, Burger King
and Wendy's ranked first inaccuracy, getting eighty eight percent of
the orders right. The overall average was eighty seven percent.
Most common complaints were I said no ice. I've never
understood that, people. I understand you.
Speaker 16 (10:03):
No.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
I do understand why you say just a little bit
of ice, because they have a tendency to fill the
whole cup up with ice, and it means you don't
get that much to drink.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
Actually you get a lot of ice, but no ice. Okay.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
People also had to repeat their orders about a third
of the time. One third of the time you had
to repeat the order because they just didn't get it
the first time. Five to ten time for traffic and weather.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
I'm just kidding McDonald's people. I actually got a fish
was a fish file at yesterday and chicken McNuggets and
they were actually really I thought they did a great job.
So I just want to make good with McDonald's people.
Next will work on the tollway. Do you go there often,
by the way, about once a week. I love you know,
I have this weird thing about their fish fish file at,
And I'll get those little nuggets. I don't care.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
I got you.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
I got a Scotch fries for me. Huh oh McDonald's fries.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
I got a soapbox coming up at the end of this.
I don't have a lot going on on the roads
right now. It's Go Freeway outbound Griggs. That's a stall truck.
When the souper size Ninjas get there, that's gonna be
a thing. I think they'll probably take correct lay. But
it's outbound, not inbound. So if you're coming up from Dickenson,
Go Gators, you look good so far. If you're driving
in clear, like twenty two minutes on to eighty eight,
(11:14):
it's Highway six northbound, we're looking good. Twenty one minutes
up into downtown sugar Land, you're coming in on the
Southwest Freeway, you look good or you could take all
ninety the most city Expressway. This is America. Either way,
We're in good shape. We're going now, and here's my
soapbox Terry. You know, they're like, if you have a business,
should I use AI? If your customers are robots, then
(11:35):
you should use robots that you know radio if you
if your listeners are robots, then you should talk to
them with robots. The rest of it is bubble wrapp.
I'm Skymike. It's your Generator Supercenter, dot Com Traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Well, at least the weather's not AI. From our KTRH
as far as I know, from most real she is real.
I think, yeah's not here for me to test whether
she's real, but I think she's real from our KTRH
Top tax Defenders twenty four hour Whether Center Terry is here.
The forecast is real.
Speaker 17 (12:00):
Too, Yeah, the forecast is real, but it's not real different.
Speaker 8 (12:07):
Let's put it like that.
Speaker 17 (12:09):
No, I am still looking at that increase in sum
rain toward the end of the weekend, which will be
kind of nice, just because it's been so dry. Today's
dry day and another warm day. We're in the load
of mid nineties this afternoon, and there's that slight chance
of a shower, thunderstorm tomorrow and Saturday, twenty percent chance
(12:29):
of brain, thirty percent chance of rain Sunday Monday. We're
seeing a little bit of an onshore breeze that's going
to help to increase the humidity and kind of give it.
These I'd almost call them summertime thundershowers because they're mainly
in the afternoon. We'll be in the uper eightis to
low nineties starting tomorrow through the weekend.

So is President Trump already out foxing Chuck Schumer?
Speaker 5 (13:16):
I don't think it would take much.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
Chuck Schumer has really painted himself into a corner here
trying to appease AOC and the far left wing of
the party. And what's the way out for them at
this point? How do you how do you get out
from underneath this, this government shutdown. I mean, I don't
I don't think Trump's going to throw them any sort
of a lifeline here as far as making it some
(13:39):
sort of a compromise or give them something in order
to get them to vote in favor of opening the
government back up again. We'll talk more about that next. First, though,
let's do traffic and weather together, which begins a course's

Speaker 4 (15:47):
How I listened to KTRH instantly.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Okay, I wonder if if there's a realization yet, if
it's really sunk in yet that at this point they're
getting out smarted. Chuck Shimmer is getting out smarted. A
King Jefferies is getting out smarted. They have painted themselves
into a corner with with This is the bad part
(16:13):
of it. You know, You've got them painted into a corner,
which in some ways is an opportunity to do exactly
what you want to do. And I think that probably
one of the things that the President Trump would like
to do, at least the Trump administration we'd like to do,
would be to make further cutbacks. Uh and and and
my guess is there probably have sent a message to
(16:35):
Shiver and Jefferies that the longer this goes on, the
more cuts there will be. So if you want, if
you want to keep the government out for the next
thirty days or so, you'll be amazed how many things
we can cut in the next thirty days that you're
not going to get back again. So this, this has,
this has the potential to be a really bad thing
if you're a Democrat. Here's Larry Kudlow and Newton Gingridge
(16:57):
discussing all this.
Speaker 18 (16:58):
Well, I can't think of then anything better for economic
growth than deregulation, lower tax rates, and lower spending. And
I think that Schumer they had made a massive mistake here.
Speaker 5 (17:11):
Donald Trump and Russell.
Speaker 18 (17:12):
Vote have completely out Fox, Chuck Schumer and all the
lefties behind them, AOC, Bernie Sanders, you name it.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
It's not personal.
Speaker 18 (17:21):
To any of them. I don't really hardly know them.
I'm just saying they've made a monument They've been out fox.
They've made a monumental mistake. Because as we're talking with
Ted Cruz a few moments ago, russ Vote is just
the guy. He knows the score, and he will take
this opportunity to get budget cuts and lower federal employees
and riffs and so forth. It is part of the
executive branch. They have the authority to do it nude.
(17:44):
And that's what makes this shutdown different than other shutdowns.
Speaker 19 (17:49):
Well, remember that they understand what Democrat ram Emmanuel said
when he said, you know, he should never waste the crisis. Well,
they're not going to waste this crisis. Russ has been
thinking about this all through the four years in the wilderness.
We worked with him at America First Policy Institute.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
He's brilliant. He understands exactly what he's doing.
Speaker 19 (18:09):
And this is why this is one of those moments
where their radical base will not allow them to be rational.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
They will punish them if they're rational.
Speaker 19 (18:20):
They want to see a magic moment of self sacrifice,
and so they want their leaders to stand there, even
if it cripples of the Democratic Party. They feel better fighting.
And I think that if Schumer and Jefferies had tried
the cave early that they would have been thrown out.
(18:40):
Because the base out there wants a fight. They don't
care if that if they win or not. They just
have to emotionally be involved in fighting Donald Trump, and
the results going to be The country is watching the
country is against closing the government. The country is against
raising spending. So the Democrats adopted a two notes strategy.
(19:00):
They want to close the government in order to get
more spending. That's a double negative. It's not easy to
design a strategy, or you're wrong on both sides.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Yeah, well, we'll see if this again. I don't know
what kind of strategy at this point works. I really don't.
The only question is at what point does at any
point do people just kind of wake up and go,
you know, work, We're not going to get anywhere with this,
And people do seem to understand this is our fault
that this is going on. Five twenty six. Time to

The new Texas congressional maps have made it through the

Speaker 22 (22:41):
So how can we expect these lawsuits to proceed over
the next few weeks.
Speaker 23 (22:44):
They're going to either make us use the previous maps

Goud to smeller roses. I like the smell of roses.
I mean it's okay flowers. In general, they're fine. Not
my favorite smell, but certainly not an unpleasant smell. Here's
the story. Holiday and Express is testing a scent based
alarm clock works like a confuser. When the alarm goes off,
(28:21):
it releases the scent of coffee or bacon or blueberry
muffins when it's time to wake up. They're doing it
in a test market, not in the US yet. They're
testing this to see if you know, people like it,
if it becomes popular. They're doing it in Australia and
(28:42):
New Zealand and again you can you can make a
pick which which sent you on in your ban You
can also choose Nashi pear, and in Singapore and Thailand,
mango is an option because they like those smells. But
it got me thinking, I mean, I do love the
smell of bacon. The smell of bacon and coffee together.
I mean that's just oh, that's awesome for first thing
(29:04):
in the morning. But it wouldn't be awesome if I
couldn't eat the bacon and drink the coffee. So if
I'm waking up to that smell, maybe maybe the idea
behind this is that you know they got bacon, do
they have bacon downstairs at the Holiday Inn Express, Do
they have like the buffet line or whatever? Do they
have coffee downstairs for you waiting for you when you
(29:27):
wake up, because you're gonna want that, right, But it
did give me thinking about smells that make you happy. Now,
there are some smells that will make you happy. To me,
the food smell that makes me happy is the smell
of Thanksgiving dinner cooking, you know, the turkey cooking, the dressing,
all the other things that are being baked, the pies.
(29:50):
That combination of smells, in particular that turkey cooking, It
just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, you know.
So it makes me think of family and past thanks Giving,
and it makes me just kind of makes me happy.
So I was kind of wondering what what smell makes
you happy? What smell when you smell, it just either
brings back a great memory or just generally makes you happy,
(30:11):
put you in a good mood. You go to the
iHeartRadio f ktr H, you hit the talk back button,
You get up to the thirty seconds first thing where
you're calling from. The smell that makes you happy? Five
forty Butterscott's kinlike well, that's just wonderftick.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
I was thinking candles, okay, because I like all kinds
of candles, like I don't know, pumpkin whatever, there's this
pumpkin waffle thing that they sell at the dollar store terry.
And then does it have to be a It doesn't
have to be a food smell. There's two smells that
remind me of home. First of all, like a burning
wood like you'd have in the fall when somebody's burning
some wood. And the other one is is cowpup, terry
(30:46):
cover your ears, fresh cowpup when the wind blows. Why,
if you're from Damon or somewhere like Day's out of Texas,
you know exactly what I'm talking about. Just that's you know,
that fresh smell like money. I guess oh they think
I have farmer friends that would say it smells like mine.
Thank you for cleaning that up for me.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
Southwest Free does the first car is the fresh cowpoop?
Does it different than the stale cow poop? Yes?
Speaker 4 (31:10):
Bye, Yes, From Holk, Texas, you would understand. Let's go
to Southwest Freeway ed Low look out. That's a stall
northbound where you at. Oh lord, he's in the center lane.
All right, let's gee, I'm bumping my gums here northbound
Southwest Freeway edlow center lane. Watch out from the loop here,
I got a golf freeway thing. Frank from Pasadena, dude.
Speaker 5 (31:30):
Good morning, Mike.
Speaker 31 (31:31):
Right around even with the park place U. There is
a pile up in the left hand side.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
No, it was already time for that. All right, here
comes this much from waffle house northbound. Let's hit Dennis
from Cypress.
Speaker 22 (31:44):
What you got, my man, Mike to ninety all the
way down to two eighty eight from.
Speaker 5 (31:50):
Ninety nine and thirty three minutes.
Speaker 23 (31:53):
Can you check my time?
Speaker 8 (31:54):
Please?
Speaker 4 (31:54):
My head hurts, but I know your traffic courts at
sixty eight hundred Cypress would oh.
Speaker 14 (31:58):
And tell Jimmy there is a important than off of
two nineties.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
Well, okay, that's cool. I'm in the Generator Supercenter dot
Com traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
I stand corrected, from which happens quite often important from
our ktr H Generator super Center twenty four hour whether
Sena Terry is here and she has the forecast for you.
What's your favorite smell bow before you give me the forecast?
Speaker 4 (32:17):
Okay, So.
Speaker 17 (32:20):
I like sky Mike's idea of a fire no, No,
that one I'm okay with. I get that having lived
in South Georgia for a while and having a lot
of farmer friends down there.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
But you agree with the fire, I do. I do
agree with the fire.
Speaker 17 (32:34):
But the one thing that really just gets me is
the smell of leather, and it's because of saddles. It
reminds me of horseback riding and the smell of you know,
the saddle that you put on the horse.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
You don't have to smell any rain anywhere, do you.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
I wish I could.
Speaker 17 (32:54):
I don't smell much rain. That's another good one. Actually,
nice little gentle rain. We don't have much of that

Speaker 3 (35:30):
I just wish the government was smaller than this. Let's
talk about that with Matt Margolas, he's a columnist at
PJ Media. It seems everybody's talking that President Trump is
going to do it. I don't know when he's going
to do it, how much time he's going to give
Democrats to change their mind on a continuing resolution before
he starts to do it. But it seems pretty clear
(35:52):
that there's an opportunity here for President Trump to make
some significant reductions in the federal workforce. Do you think
that's going to happen?
Speaker 11 (36:00):
I certainly hope so, you know, I mean, we've we've
known for years that the government is way too bloated,
and we've had people running for president for you know,
every year who are making promises about making government more
efficient and never do. And I want to see this happen,
and I hope it does.
Speaker 5 (36:17):
Where do you think he should start? Oh?
Speaker 8 (36:21):
Everywhere?
Speaker 4 (36:23):
Everywhere?
Speaker 11 (36:24):
You know, I mean, you know, there's like two point
four million federal employees, you know, I mean, just just
start going through the whole place with an axe. As
far as I'm concerned, because you know, I mean this
there's just there's just so much waste that's going on
that people pretend isn't happening. But but we know that
it is, and you.
Speaker 8 (36:45):
Know, we just.
Speaker 11 (36:47):
If the government just ran more like the private sector,
things would be a lot better. And I think that's
really what what Trump is after here. He wants to
see that the government work more efficiently by the same
rules that the private second does.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
I think that the way, though, that you go about
selling this to the American public is to explain what
you're cutting, why you're cutting it, how much it costs
to run it, how little that particular department or these
individuals do in reality, why we don't need this, and
what it means to reducing the deficit. I think Americans
(37:21):
have to pretty clearly hear how this is going to
benefit them before he does it, don't you think.
Speaker 11 (37:26):
Oh for sure? I mean I think I think people
want to know what's going on and why, and you know,
but you know, they're certainly not going to be happy
if they're paying, you know, one hundred thousand dollars a
year for some anonymous paper pusher. You know, I mean,
this is the kind of stuff that we have to
get rid of, and it's the kind of waste and
fraud that we see happen a lot. I mean, in
(37:48):
in federal the federal government and state government as well.
And you know, I think if if we start with
making the federal government efficient, we can see that the
Trump has the opportunity to prove that we don't need
this huge federal workforce. And it's happened before with Elon
Musk when he bought Twitter. He did massive cuts into
(38:11):
the workforce there and found that, you know, the company
could confunction just fine with even fewer employees. So that's
the kind of thing we need to see here.
Speaker 3 (38:19):
You know, I think I saw a figure here in Houston.
We have something in the neighborhood of thirty six thousand
federal employees working here in the Greater Houston area. To me,
that is granted, NASA's here, but that's a to me,
that's a shocking number. I think a lot of people
would be shocked by how many federal workers they have
in their own town or their own state.
Speaker 5 (38:39):
Oh yeah, for sure.
Speaker 11 (38:40):
People have no idea how bad it really is. And
I think bringing attention to this issue is only going
to help Trump in.
Speaker 12 (38:47):
The long run.
Speaker 11 (38:47):
And I think people have been blissfully ignorant about just
how bad the problem really is. And it's just gotten
worse and worse. You know, the thing goes that. You know,
once you're hired by the government, it's really hard to
lose your job. And it's about time that these people
who have been kind of floating around doing nothing for
three years and years bar let go and let let
(39:08):
the people who do who actually do the works, stick
around and do their job.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
That's all we need, all right, Matt, thanks for your time,
appreciated calmness to PJ Media. That's Matt Mark Goolis. Five

Newcastle Wesleyan.
Speaker 5 (40:09):

Speaker 4 (40:10):

This time, it's still there. In fact, there's a FedEx

Speaker 6 (41:00):
Good Morning, six h two on News Radio seven forty KTRH.
This news brought to you by Shampas John Deere our
top story this hour. Congress failed to pass a resolution
to fund the government, leading to day two of the shutdown,
with Democrats standing by their trillion dollar proposal to increase
Medicaid funding. Send Jordy leader John Thune says the Democrats
(41:21):
should be familiar with the GOP's bill.
Speaker 33 (41:23):
It's clean, it's non partisan, it is short term, it
has no gimmicks. We didn't put any partisan writers on it.
I mean, this is something that should be a no
brainer around here, and it's something, by the way, that
they did thirteen times when Joe Biden was in the
White House and the Democrats had the majority in the Senate.
Speaker 6 (41:38):
And also adds that this is another example of the
Democrats' lack of sins.
Speaker 33 (41:42):
They can't see straight, they're blinded by it, and they're
willing to do what used to be in their minds.
I think, really pretty crazy and stupid things. But that's
that's the world we're now living in.
Speaker 6 (41:52):
Democrats that have held up the budget, demanding things like
Obamacare subsidies and PBS funding, among other items. One thing
the federal government is doing right now is getting smaller.
Thanks to efforts by President Trump, we could see around
two hundred and seventy five thousand fewer federal civilian employees
by the end of this year.
Speaker 22 (42:11):
This will mean that the President has fulfilled yet another
major campaign promise.
Speaker 11 (42:15):
Trump ran on we need to cut waste and fraud
in the government, and everybody knows that government is full
of people who have just been there for years, who
aren't doing anything.
Speaker 22 (42:23):
Matt Margolis with PJ Media says this will lead to
huge savings for the American taxpayers.
Speaker 11 (42:28):
Two hundred and seventy five thousand employees are going to
be leaving, and I should save the government about twenty
eight billion dollars a year. That's a big amount of
money that we'll be saving.
Speaker 22 (42:37):
He added that because so many federal workers are leaving,
it will be hard for the next Democrat to just
reverse all this. Ethan Buchanan News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 6 (42:45):
President Trump says he had no choice but to send
two hundred National Guard troops to Portland, lasting the city
as a never ending disaster. Local officials strongly objecting, and
both the state and city have sued to stop the move.
The troops are authorized to protect Portland and an ice
facility there. Mexican President Claudia Shinbab reportedly wants to up

the pay roll of the Sinaloa cartel for about twenty years.
Speaker 6 (43:33):
He says, it's a systemic problem for Mexico, so trusting
this should come with caution. Katah News time is six

a new public safety initiative yesterday, Governor Greg Gabbett was
joined by several law enforcement officials, but there were no Democrats,
including Mayor Witmeyer.

I'm Apply Spirit. What does Teams Spirit smell like? I've
never smelled teen Spirit. I have no idea. What Nirvana
is talking about six oh seven is their time here
in Houston's borning News. We're talking about favorite smells because
Holiday Inn is testing alarm clocks in their Australi in
New Zealand hotels that when you set the alarm, when
(46:04):
the alarm goes off, you get the smell of bacon
and coffee and blueberry muffins. I guess you get the
pick which smell you want, or maybe you can combine
all three.
Speaker 5 (46:13):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (46:15):
I don't know if they're doing that because they think
it's just a pleasant way for people to wake up,
or if these holiday inn expresses have you know, a
buffet downstairs and they're trying to make you hungry when
you wake up in the morning, go down and get
something neat so they can sell more breakfast. I have
no idea, but it did get me thinking of favorite smells.
The one I've contributed so far is Thanksgiving dinner cooking
(46:36):
in the oven. The smell that makes you happy because
it makes me think of family. It makes me think of,
you know, a day of watching football and eating good
food and spending time with friends and family. It just
it puts me in a happy place. So that's our question.
Speaker 8 (46:50):
Today.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
You go to the iHeartRadio app KTRH, you hit the
talkback button, first name, where you're calling from, and the
smell or smells that make you happy.
Speaker 31 (46:58):
Hey, Jimmy, this is why from porter Man you hit
two of mine with coffee and bacon, among other things.
I mean fresh baked cookies, cinnamon rolls. But years ago
there was a wonderbread bakery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and every
time I drove by that place and caught the smell
of the fresh baked bread, it would just put a

smile on my face.
Speaker 23 (47:20):
Man.
Speaker 31 (47:21):
Anyway, that's all I got.
Speaker 8 (47:22):

This is Bob from Katie. And the smell that makes

smell that freshness of the rain coming.
Speaker 6 (47:35):

TODAY i bet he's a repeat. Offender six thirty seven
is our time here In houston's more years. Right Governor
aviatt has this new task force to crack down on repeat,
offenders And I'm i'm just wondering here if the emphasis
is on the right. Thing here's what the governor said.
Today we are putting violent repeat offenders on. Notice we're
(01:05:08):
coming for. You we're going to target, you arrest, you
and put you behind bars where you. Belong, okay we're
going to target, you that's. Fine we're going to arrest,
you that's. Fine but how are you going to guarantee
you're going to put them behind?
Speaker 5 (01:05:26):
Bars?
Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
NOW i know we've had bail reform and a couple
of other bills that got through The Texas senate and
The Texas. House but at the end of the, day
the problem we have more than a repeat offender problem
is repeat. Offender judges.
Speaker 5 (01:05:44):
Judge.
Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
It and it's not just the no cash, bail it's
any bail for a violent. Offender there shouldn't be bail
for somebody who is facing a murder charge so they
can get out and kill. Again to, me the repeat
offender we need to, target or the, judges the judges
who continually let these people, loose who refuse to send
(01:06:09):
them to, jail who when they get to make the
decision on the, sentence sends them more likely than they.
Should you, know how can we include how can we
include judges in? This it's it's fine to put an
emphasis on, finding rounding, up, arresting and putting in jail
repeat offenders the people who have repeated their crimes multiple.
(01:06:29):
Times but without the cooperation of the judicial, system it's
only going to go so. Far SO i hope there's
somewhere in. THERE i hope there's an emphasis on the
judges as. Well keep the pressure going on these. Judges
do not. Relent send your task force to the courtroom
when they're when they're handing down these. Sentences so these
(01:06:52):
people could be called out and they get even more
publicity than they already. Get so hopefully at some point
people wake, up the people who keep election these people
wake up and start electing other people who will be
more tough on. Crime six Forty time for traffic and weather.
Together as we check it again with sky mine.

Speaker 5 (01:31:15):
One Used radio seven FORTY. Kgrh, yeah well the line's been.
Drug now what we have to do is we have
to have a federal court way in on whether or
not it is. CONSTITUTIONAL i don't think there's a lot
Of republicans who are worried about that aspect of, it
but you, KNOW i should ask a few like Doctor Robin,
Armstrong Geviston county. Commissioner he's A, republican he's A TEXAS
(01:31:38):
gop big. Wig what do you Think are you the
least bit concerned of what the federal court's going to.
Speaker 23 (01:31:43):
Do, No i'm not concerned about, It. JIMMY i think
we're going to be in good. Shape and the reason
is because we had a recent case In august to
twenty twenty four deciding is at the Federal Fitth circuit,
level and so it has reached constitutional. Muster it's we've
had some skirmishes up at The Supreme court level and
(01:32:03):
we've won them. All that's Galvestein county and fighting this,
case and SO i.
Speaker 5 (01:32:08):
Think we're going to be in good.
Speaker 23 (01:32:09):
SHAPE i think we have good. Standing the problem is
that for forty to fifty, years The democrats have been
Using section two of The Voting rights at to racially
jerry mander, districts and they found that. Unconstitutional in office
of twenty twenty, four we have politically jerry management them
now and so that is perfectly constitutional and, legal and
(01:32:31):
SO i think we're going to be in good.
Speaker 3 (01:32:32):
Shape did we get a letter from THE doj though
In july warning us absolutely At, yeah in the, letter
correct me If i'm.
Speaker 5 (01:32:40):
Wrong we didn't.
Speaker 3 (01:32:41):
Letter didn't it warn that four congressional districts were drawn
at least in twenty that's the twenty twenty one. Case
that's kind of WHAT i would assume that we're kind
of basing this on is back in twenty twenty, one
we were told that they were drawn on racial grounds
and that that couldn't be. Done so now these are being,
done as you, said, politically and that it would without
(01:33:01):
regard to.
Speaker 5 (01:33:02):
Race that is absolutely the.
Speaker 23 (01:33:05):
Case in, fact The Justice department actually threatened a lawsuit
Against texas if we did not redraw the lines because
those lines are now those lines that were drawn in
twenty twenty one are impermissible because they were Racially jerry
Vanderd and so basically what that means is at at the,
time under The section two of The Voting Rights, act
(01:33:26):
we were forced to actually draw districts that were. Coalitioned
and so the recent, SUPREMION i, mean the recent Fith
circuit court case said that we no longer have to do,
that and so that really the law, changed and so
that allowed us to do. Redistricting so we are on
solid legal, footing solid constitutional, footing AND i think that's
(01:33:46):
going to play out and we're going to see that
over the next few.
Speaker 5 (01:33:49):
Weeks what do we know about these federal judges In El?
Speaker 3 (01:33:51):
Paso though WHEN i think of L, PASSO i think
of a blue, city that doesn't necessarily mean that the
bankup of this federal court is. Blue what do we
know about about these judges in their political? Leanings, well
the for for.
Speaker 23 (01:34:04):
These, federally they have federal statute which requires you to
have three court. Judges one of these judges is actually
from The Federal Fifth circuit that gave us the favorable.
Ruling one of the judges THE opaso, judge which was
An Obama obama, appointee and then and then the other
Judges Jeff, brown who is the judge that heard the
(01:34:25):
case initially that ruled against us when the president was
the other. Way and SO i believe Now Jeff brown
is a is A trump, appointee the other judge is
A reagan, appointee and then One obama, appointee and SO
i think that the judges should be very fair in
this and so we just have to see where they
where they line. UP i, MEAN i believe that that
(01:34:46):
that since they have a judge that was on The
Federal Fifth circuit that's on this, panel the three judge,
PANEL i think that that that he's going to be
able to bring some insight into this case because he's
seen it at The federal Fifth circuit level and ruled
in our.
Speaker 5 (01:34:57):
Favor All, Right any bets on how long were have
to wait for a ruling on, This you.
Speaker 23 (01:35:02):
Know they've been Meet they're going to meet all day every,
day even On saturdays because it's an expedited, ruling so
they're going to meet all day every, day and we
should have a decision probably in the next two to
three weeks.

Is.
Speaker 5 (01:50:43):
Oh by the, way response From Jesse waters on the.
Speaker 16 (01:50:45):
Five we are in a fascist moment and what that
means is a right, wing white, nationalist white supremacist, moment
and that is centered around. Hierarchy if you go back
before the twentieth, century there were no income to, taxes
there were no regulations on. Business you could earn as
much money as you, want leave one hundred percent of
it to your children with no. Taxes that's the world
(01:51:07):
they want.
Speaker 49 (01:51:08):
Back, well if fascism is wanting, regulation estate and income tax,
cuts THEN i am the biggest fascist of all, time
and that would make the Entire Republican party fascist and
a healthy slice of The Democrat party fascist as. Well
as you, SAID i haven't seen her tax, returns BUT
i would bet she pays her tax people very well
(01:51:29):
to reduce her income and reduce her estate, taxes and is.
Speaker 2 (01:51:33):

Accumulate as much wealth so she too can pass it
on to her. Children it's what every, smart functioning person
does in this, country because you want your children to
live a better life than.
Speaker 3 (01:51:47):
You and so basically every conservative white male in her
mind is a white, nationalist, racist and extreme capitalist who
wants a world where they don't get penalized for making
a bunch of money and they can leave that money
to their kids without having to pay taxes on.
Speaker 24 (01:52:06):
It.
Speaker 5 (01:52:06):
YEAH i.
Speaker 3 (01:52:08):
Other than the white nationalist, PART i, think you, know
she's you, know she's redefined. FASCIST i would define myself
as a fascist based on her. Definition other than the
white nationalist part of the whole.
