Speaker 1 (00:00):
Except if your Houston Methodists better not be prescribing ivermectin. Right.
Seven twenty two is our time here on Houston's Borning News.
We're joined by doctor Mary Tally Boden Breathe, MD. Still
being persecuted by the Texas Medical Board. Will this ever stop?
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Well, this is being going on now three and a
half years my saga with the Medical Board, and they
actually determined I am guilty. The hearing we had was
just to see how guilty and what kind of punishment
they're going to go out.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
They only they would have a sliding scale of guilt.
All right, so how how guilty are you? And then
what is it they say you're guilty of?
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Well, there was a patient that wanted ivermectin. The wife
see the hospital. We had a court order granting me privileges,
basically saying you have the right to go into the
hospital and give this me an ivermectin. Well, the hospital
basically ignored the court order and refused to give you privileges.
(01:05):
I got the green lights and the lawyer we sent
the nurse. The nurse showed up. The police would not
let her in. Uh, she laughed. But they're saying that
that was very disruptive to patient care, that it would
have been harmful to patience, and I cu uh, and
you know that's that's their claim is that I acted
(01:25):
unprofessionally by sending the nurse with the court order to
get this patient.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
I remex all, right, what is the social media used
component of all this? Did you go online on Facebook
or some other social media outlet and complain about all this.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
So? Well, yeah, it's hard. I guess the First Amendment
doesn't apply to physicians apparently. And I was just I
was talking about how patients were sneaking ivermectin in for
their loved ones. I wasn't telling people to do it.
I was just discussing how that was happening. And they
were using that as an example to show what my
state of mind was, that I was trying to sneak
(02:01):
medication in which I was not. I had a court order.
But I guess this was their evidence to show that
I had bad motives.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, clearly they are still attempting to punish you for
something that it turns out you were absolutely right to
do a court order or not, You're the case made
against ivermectin was a was a bogus case. It should
have never been banned from usage to begin with. And
I would like to think that by this point in
time that the Texas Medical Board and in particularly Houston
(02:29):
Methodist would have figured out that they made a lot
of stupid mistakes during COVID nineteen.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yeah, they're not, They're they're doubling down with anything. But
there is a bill in the House right now that
we're actually from the Senate to make ivermectin over the
counter in Texas. So there's some hope there. If, if,
if we can get the House to act on now,
that would be great.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Okay, what is the lesson? Do you think that they're
trying to supposedly teach you? And, by the way, I
can tell you for a fact that doctor Boden, Doctor
Boden is a slow learner. If they're if they're trying
to teach you a lesson, you're not getting a lesson,
are you?
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Oh? No, It just makes me want to fight harder.
I mean, I think the lesson is that you cannot
challenge the narrative and if you do, they're going to
come after you and try to take you down. So
all it does is just makes me want to fight harder.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Yeah, well makes it and it makes all of us
want to fight harder on your behalf. How are things
going to breathe them?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
D Oh, I'm good, We're good. I'm actually going to
move my practice soon. Just make it a little less
easier for me to get to and I'm slowing down
a little bit.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Okay. Well, keep us posted on what you're doing, though,
because we love recommending you too to our listeners because
you're a terrific doctor. Well, thank you, you bet you
take care and keep us posted if you would. That's
