Speaker 1 (00:00):
Speaking of talking about something too early. We're gonna pull
a Halloween in August, dear by talking about the midterm elections,
which are a ways away. But do you know that's
the thing about politics, right You're always planning ahead, You're
always working from one election to the next. And I

(00:20):
sometimes wonder, doctor Robin Armstrong, whether or not we're kind
of being silly by doing this. There's a lot of
things that can happen, both pro and gone between. Now
in the midterms, do you determine how that thing's going
to turn out?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Right? Absolutely, there are many things that can happen, for sure,
you know that can. But at the same time, I
mean you definitely have to prepare. I think that the
major thing is the economy. That's going to be the
big thing, And so right now what's happening is policies
that are being done now, legislation that's being applied now,
like the big beautiful bill that will all help us

(00:53):
get elected in the midterms. And so I think the
economy is going to be taken off. Tariff deals right
now are extremely helpful to us in the midterms because
at the end of the day, most people are talking
about the economy they want to know where their pocketbook
is going to be in the next year, next two
years and so, and getting those policies laid out now
or is going to help us get elected in twenty

(01:14):
twenty six and hold on to the House, which is
what is essential right now.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
And of course one of the big things, speaking of
the economy are interest rates. I think that's probably the
reason you just stay. The reason that President Trump's been
working so hard to try to get Jay Powell to
lower interest rates is he knows that the housing market
is really kind of lagging right now, and that's the
one thing that could happen that could ultimately turn that
around to get the interest rates, mortgage interest rates back

(01:39):
down lower to where they used to be, or closer
to where they used to be.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Anyway, absolutely, I'll hardly agree. And I think what's happening
is as he gets more tariff deals with different compewes
the EU. He came up with a EU tariff deal
this weekend. I know they've had Japan last week, and
so I think more tariff deals are good because I
think the inflation is still to continue to go down

(02:02):
and then there's not going to be that big concern
and I think your interest rates will start coming down,
hopefully by the end of this year, maybe early next year,
and then at that point, we're going to have an
extraordinarily booming economy and we're going to hold on to
the House of Representative, which is essential for Trump to
have a four year presidency rather than a two years
because we know what the Democrats do when they take

(02:22):
the charge of charge of the House. They impeach and
distract and do all this stuff, and so very important
that we hold onto the House. The economy is going.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
To be key, Yeah, you're right about that, but also
the Democrats are going to be key to this. The
party that's in powered traditionally loses House seats. That's just
the way it normally works. But Democrats haven't done anything
to help themselves.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Oh my goodness. The Democrats are confused and lost right now.
I mean, they're still talking about you know, transing kids.
They're still complaining about the border, which is an amazing
issue because people find that's so important and Trump has
been extraordinary, really successful on that issue. So politically, they're
talking about all the wrong things, which is kind of

(03:05):
where they are. They're in disarray, they're firing their advice chairs.
They're doing all sorts of craziness, but that's where they are.
I think they are not in touch with the American people.
I think their President Trump certainly has his finger of
the pulse of the American public, certainly the economy, and
I think that's going to play well for us in
the midterms in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Hright, sir, have a great day.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Good to talk to you.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
