Terry Smith in eight minutes right now sixty seven at
your official severe weather station, News Radio seven forty k TRH.
It's time now for the news. Here's Cliff Saunders.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Thank you, Jimmy.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
We are brought to you this morning at six point
two by All Star Construction. Of course, that's the sound
of the anti Israel radical left protesting at New York's
Columbia University. They were wearing masks, of course, because they
don't want to be seen. They were about eighty arrests.

(01:45):
Among the injured were two security guards. Now, despite what
we've seen in New York and at the University of
Washington this week, new data shows that Republicans have become
the party of young people. So we asked pulling expert
Robert Kahley with the Trafalgar Group that will affect next
year's midterms.

Speaker 6 (02:03):
No, that is a very good question, and it's literally
something we ran into in Wisconsin. If the Republicans had
turned out the way they said they were going to
turn out, Trump voters turn out when he's on the ticket.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
He says, a big key for the GOP. We'll be
getting rid of tax on tips in overtime. Meantime, did
you see this? The liberal Washington Post got a Pulletzer
Prize for their coverage of the Trump assassination trimp attempt,
which they called quote loud noises.

Speaker 7 (02:33):
They downplayed the entire story, and it's another sign of
the media's downfall and the Pulletzer as well.

Speaker 8 (02:38):
Journalism is supposed to be the first rough draft of history,
yet the Pulitzer Prize just gave its stamp of approval
to the Washington Post draft of history.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Which was completely off beat.

Speaker 7 (02:49):
Brionna Lineman of the Federalists says this is a result
of the propaganda machine and it just further destroys American
faith and media.

Speaker 8 (02:57):
They're no longer interested in journalism. They're interested in being
ideologically committed to whatever their particular goal is.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
She says.

Speaker 7 (03:04):
The media has become a puppet for the Democrats. Andre
Perard News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
It's now six to zero three.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Texas Governor Greg Abbott keeps pushing the legislature to make
a move on BAILL reform joined yesterday in that by
Houston State Senator Joan Huffman.

Speaker 8 (03:19):
We're all convinced that the Texas voters will overwhelmingly approve
this resolution.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
This is just its nonsense.

Speaker 8 (03:26):
It's time for there to be a change, and Texans
deserve a change.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Abbit called out House Democrats once again. Meantime, did you
see this a man wearing a bulletproof vest helmet carrying
a rifle as well. He was shot by HPD after
a chase yesterday. That man tried to run from a
traffic stop. That's when he pulled out his weapon. Four
officers opened fire. He was hit, but because he was

(03:51):
wearing the vest, he's going to survive. The Texas Politics
Project that UT releases a new poll showing that President
Trump's approval on the ECONO might be down, but that
doesn't mean a blue wave is coming next year.

Speaker 9 (04:05):
Trump needs more time to allow his long term economic
plan and ajenda to take shape. Most people are willing
to give Trump some leeway because he's been fantastic on
so many other issues.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
RNC Committee man doctor Robin or Armstrong says that Trump's
approval on the border is strong. His economic approval will
go up as he cuts trade deals, speaking of which
at six p'o oh five.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
The first one is coming at nine o'clock this morning.

Speaker 10 (04:28):
There are a number of reports now that this deal
is with the UK. The President will not confirm that,
but he posted on truth Social last night, big news
conference tomorrow morning the Oval Office concerning a major trade
deal with representatives of a big and highly respected country,
the first of many.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
That is Fox's Doug Loseator.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Trump isn't backing off the China terrifs despite the scheduled
talks taking place on Saturday, a move Texas Congressman Wesley
Hunt supports.

Speaker 11 (04:57):
We have got to hold him accountable for ripping off
the United States and ripping off the consumer.

Speaker 12 (05:03):
That's the tax pay consumer and the greatest country in
the entire world.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
Down futures are up this morning by three hundred and
ninety points. This is despite the continued rise in tensions
between India and Pakistan.

Speaker 13 (05:15):
No nation state's going to stand for this when their
citizens aren't murdered. It's a nation state's responsibility to respond
because you have to keep your nation, your citizens safe,
because if you're not safe, then you're not free. We
wouldn't stand for it. Israel Is certainly didn't. Israel didn't
after October seventh, then I don't expect Indian too.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
Texas Congressman Pat Fallon. Meantime, the Fed is still waiting
to pull the trigger on cutting interest rates.

Speaker 12 (05:37):
Federal Reserve jearer Jerome Powell says there is still too
much uncertainty in the economy, so rates will stay where
they are for at least another month. The financial planner
Richard Rosso questions the Fed's motives.

Speaker 14 (05:47):
Whether it's employment numbers, wage growth, even the pace of
inflation is heading lower. All of that looks really good
at the Fed. They have to look at maximum employment
and inflation. Well, guess what this year for the completion indicator.
They use it lower than when they lowered rates last year.

Speaker 12 (06:02):
Russell bredecks will only get one or two rate cuts
at the most before the end of the year. President
Trump has urged the Fed to cut rates, but to
no avail. Corey Oolsen News Radio seven forty KTRH six.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
H six The Stros break out of their slump and
from Bervaldez made it stand up in seven innings of work, A.

Speaker 11 (06:17):

a miss got him on the curveball. That's seven strikeouts

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Just needed three pitches there too.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
He looks really really focused here and that's good.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
The call on Sports Talk seven ninety the Stros beat
the Brewers nine to one. I'm Cliff Saunders on Houston's
news weather in traffic station News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
There's a huge accident on the Parkway this morning.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Another updates coming up here we go again, extremely heavy rainfall.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Use radio seven KTRH.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
When you walk into the Magic Kingdom, they played just
very low calming orchestral music of all the of all
the Disney theme songs to just kind of put you
in the mood to be fleeced. The only magic these
days of the Magic Kingdom is how they make your

(07:15):
money disappear. Here's a dad who took his family to
Disney World for one day and spent over one thousand
dollars just for one day at the theme park. His
video has gone viral and he got interviewed. Eight million
people have watched this video.

Speaker 15 (07:35):
Before we even got into the park. It cost me
thirty dollars just for parking and even being a Florida resident,
tickets for a family of five with one child under
ten with still nine hundred and seventy four dollars. The
rest of the family decided they want to go to
dinner at Downtown Disney Scrapes. This place was my literal
hell totally two hundred and forty five dollars twenty seven cents,
but the grand total for our day was one three
hundred ninety one dollars ninety one cents.

Speaker 16 (07:56):
I kind of had a feeling it would go viral.
It's very relatable, it's family friendly, Disney's always a hot topic,
and we're all trying to pinch pennies. So that video
was probably my therapy as I was going through the day.
The kids were smiling, sometimes fighting in between the lines.
My wife was having a grand all time. Meanwhile, mine
was just swiped the card over and over and over,

(08:16):
and it started with the ticket purchase and then it
ran right into the parking and then it just was
like a cash down for the rest of the day.
So I kind of had an idea that people would
be able to relate to it, just maybe not so
much trying to put a price tag versus value.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
What's it worth? The lines were so long, so.

Speaker 16 (08:34):
We're already a thousand deep into the park. Now we're
going to drop another four hundred to get lightning passes.
So if I don't want to say this way, but
if you do the average of cost per ride, it
probably isn't really worth it. So we almost wanted to
do the lightning passes, but multiply times five, that day
would have been doubled the price.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Yeah, too great. Could easily spend two thousand dollars for
one day of Disney. Now here's the thing. I suspect
he first of all, I suspect he could afford it.
Number one too, I suspect that he did it so
he could video this because he was looking for a
little you know, viral notability. But I mean the facts
of the facts, and people do this all the time.

(09:14):
I you know, if you're dropping, you know, almost two
thousand dollars for one day at Disney and then you're
complaining about food prices at the grocery store, I'm not
quite sure where the disconnect is here, right, But you know,
in case you need another reason, you know, to hate Disney.
Right now, did you see they're building a new theme
park in Dubai. Yeah, the same people who were lobbying

(09:40):
against Florida Governor Ron de Santis and calling it the
you know, don't say gay bill are building a theme
park in a country where it is a crime, and
they'll throw you in jail for being gay. Talk about
your ultimate hypocrisy. Six' ten times for traffic and weather
together as we check out the drive, again here's.

we're Joined By Robert, ka haley polster and founder Of The,
drafalger group who's been Polling young americans to kind of
get their feeling about a whole variety of, different topics
including where they're. At, Politically robert welcome to. The show

(15:34):
what have? You found what good?

Speaker 9 (15:36):
Have you what have?

Speaker 2 (15:38):
YOU found i know that young men have been trending
more conservative for quite. Some time are women starting to?
Follow them because there was a real disconnect between young
men and young women there for. A while.

Speaker 23 (15:51):
You know what is interesting is the young men the
number is so big that the average IS bring i
mean everybody else because the men plus. The women the
men are extraor, you know and we're talking about the
difference between millennials And gen z But gen z men
are so Much pro republican that even Though gen z Women,

(16:15):
trend democrat they Don't twin democrat as much As gen
z Men, trend republican bringing all Of gen z forward
leaning toward the.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Conservative, side now as far As.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Supporting, republicans now when you take a look at the reasons,
behind that by suspicion would be, it's that, you Know
the democrats have had a war on men for quite,
some time at least on a, traditional male and they've
done their best to try to demasculize. MOST men i
wonder if that's part, of it what are some of
the reasons why they're running so much? More conservative.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
That is, Certainly it and.

Speaker 24 (16:50):
What we found is the only thing really Keeping gen,
Z women, i mean the biggest thing Keeping gen z
women On the democrat side.

Speaker 23 (16:59):
Is abortion but that is proportional based on the state.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
They live so if you.

Speaker 23 (17:05):
Live in a state where abortion what wasn't, really changed
it's not, very.

Speaker 24 (17:10):
Restrictive Then gen z women thinking of it less an
issue because they don't.

Speaker 23 (17:15):
See it truly.

Speaker 24 (17:16):
Under threat but of course you give, you example if
you're A gen, z woman you live In, suburban Atlanta
then georgia has a very restrictive abortion law as compared
with other metropolitan states that have big, Metropolitan areas so
then abortion.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Moves to a bigger issue.

Speaker 25 (17:37):
With them but abortion is what's kind of kind of
anchoring these, women there because what we've also seen is
the opposition to, abortion has, especially women much more to
do with their age than any.

Speaker 24 (17:50):
Other factor so at that age it's still a significant
is a significant issue.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Now if you found overall it used to be kind
of Like the north, is liberal In the south. Is
conservative is it Still The north south kind of? A
thing or is the young male conservativism spreading In the
north as well As. The, south.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Yeah the young the.

Speaker 24 (18:12):
Young male if you if you're old enough, To, remember
uh it doesn't matter how liberal the Household THAT.

Speaker 25 (18:18):
Alex p keaton is making his stand.

Speaker 24 (18:22):
These days the uh you know that young guy who
was in a liberal family in the, EIGHTIES sitcom i
mean it was it's very much like even if nobody
in the family a, greets uh.

Speaker 23 (18:33):
Men and men are MAKING this, i mean and you're.

Speaker 25 (18:35):
Seeing, it uh it is completely the pushback on everything,
they've seen and they kind of Like the trump kind
of You, Know Trump dana white kind of.

Speaker 23 (18:44):
Tough, GUY uh, i mean, You. KNOW joe i mean
like when you look look.

Speaker 24 (18:48):
At what these males are doing and the difference between
how they interact and and the, women interact it has
everything to do with.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Who these younger males role.

Speaker 24 (18:58):
Models Are and trump fits right into that kind of
a role model from the is, you know kind of
moving back toward the tougher guy in a type versus
the millennial guys that were very much not kind of,
you know more buying into some of the.

Speaker 25 (19:17):
Social pressure to kind Of me.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
