Speaker 7 (02:04):
Rid of a couple of your little policies like men
and women's sports, open borders, transgender for everybody.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
But other than that, I like what you're doing.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
Yeah, President Trump going after the radical left at the
congressional ball last night. By the way, the radical left
continues to prove Trump right.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
I want to see trans kids. I have a trans
God sign.
Speaker 8 (02:23):
There's no governant's signed more pro trans legislation than I have.
Speaker 9 (02:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (02:27):
That was Gavin Newsome talking to the New York Times.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
And then there's this A National Guard soldier continues to
fight for his life. And this is what Democrats think
of the attack on him.
Speaker 9 (02:40):
The unfortunate accident that occurred with National guardsmen.
Speaker 11 (02:45):
I Kio, you think that was an unfortunate accident, I mean.
Speaker 9 (02:48):
Is a terrible Wait wait look, I'll get it straight.
Speaker 11 (02:51):
And then you can shot our National guardsman in the head.
Speaker 10 (02:53):
Yes, that's exactly what happened.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
DHS Secretary Christy Nome, putting Mississippi Congressman Benny Thompson on blast.
No one was testifying about threats to the homeland. Since
taking over in January, more than two point five million
illegal aliens have either been deported or they left on
their own.
Speaker 12 (03:12):
There's no doubt that the size of the immigrant population
and in particular, the illegal immigrant population has gone down.
That is a real accomplishment. It's something that is practically
unprecedented when you're history.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
Jason Richwind with the Center for Immigration Study says the
self deportations saves taxpayers money. The Senate rejecting dueling healthcare
bills from both sides of the aisle yesterday, and Wisconsin
Senator Ron Johnson says that you can think Obamacare for
the mess we're all in.
Speaker 13 (03:40):
Obamacare led to a dramatic consolidation of every sector in
the healthcare some hospital, hospital associations, insurance companies PBMs, RG.
It's just a massive consolidation. There's not one incentives to lower.
Speaker 10 (03:55):
Constant subsidies expire.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
At the end of the month, Johnson was talking to
ktrh Is, Clay Travis, and Buck Sexton. Five oh four
Harris County commissioners found out they're gonna need another four
million dollars to give law enforcement pay raises outgoing Harris
County Judge Lena Hidalgo used to spend like a drunken sailor.
Now she complains.
Speaker 14 (04:16):
What's happening is a lot of misleading on mismanagement, and
I think that people should be aware of that.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
Yeah, she actually said that. By the way, she's been
against these raises from the word go. She still ticked
off about Democrats voting against her scheme to raise taxes
for early childhood education. Commissioners also voted to make a
one hundred percent property tax exemption permitage for qualifying child
care facilities.
Speaker 10 (04:43):
Yesterday, coming up on five oh five, the Texas.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Association of school Boards, already under fire from Conservatives, is
called out by the state Republican Party.
Speaker 15 (04:53):
Turns out, TASBY controls almost everything from the training of
staff to insurance sales.
Speaker 7 (04:58):
They tell those school boards by insurance from US, all
of these hooports had to buy all guns entrant.
Speaker 6 (05:03):
They're a huge monopoly.
Speaker 15 (05:06):
Texas GOP chairman Abraham George says they're also the reason
taxpayer funded lobbying wasn't banned by the legislature.
Speaker 7 (05:12):
There was some conservatives who filed some bills. As he
came to all of the legislators and said, don't you
dare for chefs out of the bitt' it.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
George says.
Speaker 15 (05:20):
They're now pushing for the AG's office to investigate TASBY
to see if they are in fact monopoly. Ethan Buchanan
News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
A dual threat to our agriculture sector. The state issued
an urgent alert about a newly detected pest called the
Mealy bug, and state farmers are watching a rise in
fluburg cases.
Speaker 16 (05:38):
That can have a catastrophic impact when it comes to
Paultry Industry's egg pri scene.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Tracy Tamasik with the Texas Farm Buwer says, right now,
it's a problem in other parts of the country. Urkatt
says they expect just a one to two percent chance
of rotating power outages this winter.
Speaker 16 (05:57):
Hard better at least looking forward, it's better than if
it was five years ago.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Uhst Hearst's battery storage has added a new layer of
protection for the grid, and there may be some good
news for those of you fed up with the climate
change crowd.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
What they're saying is the climate cult is dead.
Speaker 8 (06:15):
We aready historical low point of the climate culp In
my lifetime, I've never seen a collapse of political movement
quite like the climate at the moment.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
That's Mark Morano, publisher at Climate Depot, who says it's
not completely dead, even.
Speaker 8 (06:31):
Though it's a historical low right now, they're not going
to give up if so much money invested. The one
movement I'm seeing is they're trying to fold climate change
into a public health issue.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
And waiting for another Democrat president. Jeff Biggs, News Radio
seven forty K tier Eh Rockets.
Speaker 5 (06:48):
Beat the Clippers one fifteen to one thirteen, and at
six o'clock we could off Day two of the Saint
Jude Radiothon presented by Gallery Furniture.
Speaker 17 (06:56):
We would not be able to do the work unless
we had the support of iHeart of our donors all
across Houston, across the state of Texas is imperative.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
You can become a partner and hope by pledging nineteen
bucks a month number of calls eight hundred and five,
eight eight, fourteen thirty three.
Speaker 10 (07:12):
You can also donate online.
Speaker 5 (07:14):
We have the link at the top of our Facebook page,
the top of our X page, and at KTRH dot
com and the Oak Harvest Financial Group toadeboard. We've already
raised three hundred eleven thousand dollars. Thank you very much
for that. I'm Cliff Saunders on Houston's news weather in
Traffic station, news Radio seven forty K trh.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
What happened, Why it happened, the information you need to
start the day.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Now back to Houston's Morning News. Well five all in
our time here in Houston's Morning News. This is gonna
be the second day of the row. I've been repping
on the United States Postal Service. They're I'm going to
give you. This is not directed to the mail carriers.
This is not directed at the employees of the United
States Postal Service. This is directed that the US government
and the fact that the US Postal Service is an
(07:59):
entity of the US government and therefore will never make money.
It used to make money, but it will never make
money again, and it requires constant investment. And unfortunately, the
investment that needs to be made in the post Office
when it comes to equipment, is being made based on
a political basis. And I'm kind of surprised that the
(08:22):
Trump administration hasn't gone back and taken another look at this.
Maybe they have, I don't know. The United States Postal
Service under the Biden administration decided that they wanted to
go ev they wanted to go electric. They wanted the
mail delivery trucks to be electric vehicles, which on the
surface anyway doesn't seem like a great idea. Now, if
(08:46):
you want to go natural gas or something like that
instead of using diesel or instead of using regular gasoline,
then we can talk about that because you can fill
that thing up. You can have a big old tank
of of gas and natural gas to runoff of. And
there are a lot of delivery trucks and a lot
of other vehicles that use this technology. And it's cleaner
(09:09):
than burning gasoline. So if you want to get a
little cleaner, I don't have a problem with that as
long as it makes sense. But how does an electric
vehicle which has to be constantly recharged make sense for
a mail delivery truck? But the US Postal Service guess
what they've spent so far trying to make a conversion
over to ev The Postal Services spent more than three
(09:32):
billion dollars on a brand new all electric fleet of
mail trucks. For the three billion dollars, so far, they've
gotten just six hundred and twelve vehicles for the money,
six hundred and twelve trucks, and they spent three billion
dollars that the money got put in in nineteen twenty
(09:54):
twenty two during the inflation reduction act. It was considered
the time, I'm a green boondoggle. Actually it should still
be considered to be a green boo dog boondoggles. Three billion,
and all we have is six hundred and twelve mail
trucks to show for it. Five ten. Time for traffic
and weather together. Yes, guy, mine on.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
The Hardy Vond this morning, and there's fog all over
the place and it's like some spots you can kind
of see and the lighting effect that it's just kind
of like you're in some kind of other world.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Did we give you a raise? Why?
Speaker 8 (10:25):
What?
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Because you're on the Hardy Bond now every morning.
Speaker 18 (10:27):
No.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
I know, I'm a big shot, so I've got my
Spotify and Robin Trouer comes on.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Ooh, it was just so cool on the fog.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Jeff mar wasn't that he didn't hang out with the
heads in high school, so he wouldn't know. Let's hit
the problems that that is what it is. It's visibility
is our story this morning. I don't have anybody running
into each other. I got Jeff on the north side.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Wars Brug got the fog horn.
Speaker 13 (10:52):
Wow, Grand Parkway area.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
It is getting thicker and p too.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Katie it's day for Brookshire.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
Hey, good morning's time, Mike.
Speaker 13 (11:01):
I'm literally on my kit trying to get No.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
WA eight and yeah, there are lots of funs with
some pretty dense fog.
Speaker 13 (11:08):
Definitely want to turn off.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Students, well said, Well said in two ninety Guy, the
fog so thick for the fight for.
Speaker 19 (11:19):
I can't tell my spurn front my half boh.
Speaker 20 (11:25):
From this half, I can't follow that. I'm at the
Generator Supercenter dot com traffic, so we need to go
into dense fog mode. Dense fog.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Yeah, you know, stupid bog from our katrh top tax
Defenders twenty four our weathersenter Jeff Bars with us YEP,
dense fog advisory, Jeff, So we're getting the reports.
Speaker 21 (11:44):
Yeah, we just heard it and it's going to stick
around here for a few hours, so get ready for
some delays, not on the roadways, particulally at the airports
as well. As we have this dense fog advisory until
nine am. After list we'll see a few breaks in
the clouds during the afternoon. The hint today headed to
seventy three. Another round of dense fog overnight down to
sixty three. Pillab Be a slight chance for a shower
early tomorrow, then clearing into the afternoon with the highest
seventy four. Then at cold front brings in a few
(12:06):
showers to storm Saturday night with a low fifty seven.
Behind that fraud, we'll see cloud Sunday will be windy
and after an early high in the low sixties, temperatures
will fall through the fifties during the afternoon hours.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
And by the way, that's a good advice from Jeff there.
Check your flight this morning, if you're flying out a
bush or hobby for that matter, check and see if
that flights on time, because if there's any sort of
ground stops due to the dense fog that may delay you.
Current temperature is fifty three at your official severe weather station,
News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 22 (12:36):
I live in Pasadena Sharptown Southwest.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Next on the ten time saving Traffic on seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Well, just like yesterday, the same Jude Radio thon really
gets underway at six, but you know, we're kind of
we're kind of in the pregame mode here again. We
raised three hundred eleven, nine hundred twenty six dollars between
all of our iHeart partners here for Saint Jude Children's
Research Hospital. Yesterday, I'm pretty sure the goals around a
million bucks. Pretty sure, and obviously we have a long
(13:04):
way to go to get there. So I'm I'm hoping
if you did participate yesterday, you'll you'll hop on the
train today, uh to become a partner and hope again,
we're gonna ask the same thing. Just pledge nineteen dollars
a month help kids at Saint Jude fight facing and
fighting cancer. You can put your gift on a card.
You get the brand new T shirt and Saint Jude
hoodie as a thank you for doing that. Two different
(13:24):
ways you can donate. You can neither text the word
kids kids to six two six two six two. I
guess you can do that pretty much anytime kids to
six two six two six two, or if you prefer
to make a phone call. The phones will be manned
starting at six this morning, and that number is eight
hundred five eight eight fourteen thirty three. That's eight hundred
five eight eight fourteen thirty three. Time for a little
(13:47):
traffic and weather as we check out the drive once again,
your skuy mine. You know what else happens today, Jimmy,
what's that mind? We get Saint Jude food, so no habit.
Now what's on the menu I have?
Speaker 3 (13:58):
They bring breakfast and all this good stuff. Wow, biscuits
and gravy. Let's do some north Side again. Jet from
the north Side hit me with forty five. Visibility is
a thing coming down from Conroe, my personal deal to
Hardy Toil Road. It's moving nicely, but you got to
bring it down a notch and you got to turn
off the snooze because there are spots where it doesn't
look like you could see more than a quarter mile.
(14:19):
Two ninety Captain Jack he said he can't tell us
stern from his aft, it's so thick in some spots.
And Date from Brookshire gave me I ten and sure
enough we've got spots where again, visibility is under a
quarter mile. So even though we're not bumping into each other,
you got to get an early start. I'm skymke at
your Generator Supercenter, dot Com traffic Center.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
From our KTRH top Tax Defenders twenty four hour weather Center,
Densfog Advisory. That's until nine this morning, becoming partly sunny
after that. Seventy three for the high, little morning fog.
Repeat of that tomorrow morning morning clouds, afternoon sun seventy five,
and then Sunday mostly caught it with the high temperature
right about sixty three. Current temperature remains fifty three at
(14:58):
your officials Severe Weather station, Dans Radio seven forty k TRH.
It's a Friday glyph is here. He's got some of
our top stories this morning.
Speaker 10 (15:07):
More judicial activism.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
Jimmy Kilmarbrego Garcia released from my custody by an Obama judge.
According to Axios, the President could ease federal restrictions on marijuana,
and the NFL suspends Texans minority owner Javier Layer, finds
him five hundred thousand for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
What did he do? We can't talk about it, okay.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Oh can't.
Speaker 5 (15:32):
I didn't even know they had him, minority owner. I
thought it was simply the mcdair fair one at the
late this news anytime at KTRH dot com. Our next
update is that five thirty.
Speaker 6 (15:43):
It's one policy going to take our capital back.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
We're taking it back after another. You burn a flag,
you get one year in jail.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
On News Radio seven forty KTRHO.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Well tirty four. Our time here in Houston this morning
is I feel like I'm turning into a car show
here this morning. I don't mean to do too much
on cars. I was talking about my buddies over there.
Dam Leasing. Here's another story about how the values of
used cars have risen again. You know, they were up
there for a while, then they kind of went down
for a while, and now they're back up again. And
the reason why they're backup is again the high price
(16:15):
of new cars. On Fox Business, they had the CEO
of Valveleine, you know, the oil change company, Lori Flees
is her name, talking about the boom on used cars
and the waiting interest right now on electric. It's not
just the post office that's not as interested in electric
as they used to be.
Speaker 23 (16:35):
People are holding on to their cars longer and trading
into used cars because they can't afford a new one.
And what that means is they want to maintain their
vehicle for as long as they can. Older cars need
more maintenance. That means higher revenue opportunity for companies like.
Speaker 24 (16:50):
Ours and are using the numbers of people coming in
in droves or is it just starting at the moment.
Speaker 23 (16:58):
Oh no, We've been seeing this for a long time.
Car the age of cars has been growing over the
last ten years. It's now over twelve years. The average
American owns a vehicle that's twelve years.
Speaker 11 (17:07):
Old, nearly noarly thirteen.
Speaker 24 (17:09):
I mean back in twenty fifteen, the average age was
something like eleven years, and now it's nearly thirteen.
Speaker 22 (17:15):
That's right.
Speaker 23 (17:15):
And so instead of trading up into a new car
in those loans and payments that you talked about, it's
much cheaper to maintain a vehicle that you have. And
that's exactly where we're focused.
Speaker 24 (17:29):
And how does the whole shift, at least partial shift.
It was way more fast with momentum before President Trump
ended the tax incentives for electric vehicles, but people started
buying electric vehicles that really, I guess on the surface
didn't need maintenance because they didn't need oil changes.
Speaker 11 (17:48):
But they still do need tires, et cetera.
Speaker 24 (17:51):
What aren't you seeing now that President Trump has ended
those EV subsidies.
Speaker 23 (17:55):
I think the growth of evs has really dropped off,
in the interest in them has dropped off since the
subsidies were removed. The penetration of evs in the car
park is less than two percent today and it's not
projected to grow that much more in the next three years. Now,
all vehicles need maintenance. Even EV drivers say that they
need to maintain their vehicle, and some of that needs
(18:18):
to be more than just the battery health. So maintenance
providers will provide maintenance to any vehicle regarded regardless of powertrain.
But the growth of evs has definitely slowed.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Yeah, well, you know part of it too. In addition
to not having any financial incentives right now to get
an EV, the other part of it is, you know,
unless you're one of those environmental people, you know, one
of those greenies. The other part of EV's that battery.
If you ever have to replace that battery. That it's
just crazy how much a brand new battery costs for
(18:49):
an EV. I mean, it's half the value of the
vehicle in some cases. Five twenty seven, it's time to
take a look at your money and good morning.
Speaker 25 (18:58):
The answer to B five hundred and the now coming
off record highs shares a Broadcom They were lower in
pre market trading after its sales outlook failed to meet
lofty expectations. Bober says it expects to offer robo taxi
services in more than ten markets by the end of
next year. The company is hoping to become the dominant
force in an industry it estimates will eventually be worth
(19:19):
at least a trillion dollars. Coca Cola's advertising has long
made it clear the flagship product is the real thing,
and now the beverage giant wants you to know that
it's new chief is a real American. In this week's
press release announcing that Enrique Braun would succeed James Quincy
as the company's top executive, Coco Cola said Braun is
quote an American citizen who was born in California and
(19:43):
raised in Brazil. I'm John Tucker Bloomberg Business and News
Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
You are Houston's News.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Why there are traffic plus breaking news twenty four to seven.
This is News Radio seven forty ktrh Everywhere with more
of what's happening now from the John Morris Services Studios.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
It is five point thirty here on Houston's Morning News.
Day two of our Saint Jude radiothon being presented by
a gallery furniture. Among our top stories this f hour,
The White House will appeal that judge's rulling to release
a breako Garcia. This poll showing that Jasmine Crockett has
an eight point lead for the Democrat nomination and coming
up at five thirty eight billion dollar fraud in the
(20:28):
federal student loan program. There's a shucker right details in
the minutes ahead. First, the show out that morning drive
once again with Skymine.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
All right, well, I think if you did crash into
each other, I wonder if we could see it this morning.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
Visibility is such a thing.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
I'm cruising around the Grand Parkway here, Mason Roade.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
Look at that.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
All I can see is a couple of lights here
Cypress Wood Grand Parkway around Boudreau Road. Look at that
mess that is peace soup right there, Huff Smith Corvill
all the way over to Holsworth and if you're heading
over toward the new Caney side, got to give yourself
some extra time this morning. So far, we're reportedly clear.
That can change in ten minutes. So we're right back
(21:07):
at five forty Skylike on the Ability Tree Experts Traffic.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Center from our KTRH Generator Supercenter, twenty four hour Wether
Center that densfog advisory until nine this morning of becoming
partly sunny at some point. For the high temperature today
right about seventy three. Jeff bar inventary today at the
weather Cheneral. He has your complete weekend forecast coming up
in another nine minutes. Jemperature right now fifty three to
(21:30):
make that fifty four at your official severe weather station,
News Radio seven forty KTRH. It's time now for the news.
Here's Cliff Saunders.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
By thirty one. Good morning everyone. Our top story.
Speaker 26 (21:41):
He is a proven human trafficker, he is a proven
gang member. The administration has evidence of that, and as
you saw from the Department of Homeland Security, they issued
a statement saying they'll continue to fight this legal battle
in court.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
White House Press Secretary Caroline Levett illegal alien and accused
game member Kilmar Brago Guardia is released from ice custody
by a Maryland federal judge appointed by Barack Obama. So
the Trump Administration's going to appeal. Another hit to Trump's agenda.
Indiana rejects a proposal to redraw its congressional map, blocked
(22:15):
by that state's Republican Senate president, somebody named Roderick Bray.
Speaker 27 (22:20):
I'm sure that whatever his primary is is I think
in two years, but I'm sure he'll go down.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
He'll go down.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
I'll certainly support anybody that wants to go.
Speaker 5 (22:29):
Against Meantime, twenty US House Republicans joined Democrats to pass
the bill reversing Trump's executive order blocking most federal unions.
Speaker 10 (22:38):
Here at home, Republicans.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
Aren't the only ones calling out Texas States or Texas
Senate candidate Jasmine Crockett.
Speaker 10 (22:45):
She's taking some friendly fire as well.
Speaker 28 (22:47):
To me, she violates the first rule of politics, and
that is in politics you always make it about the
voters and never bought yourself.
Speaker 5 (22:54):
James Carville on the Politics War Room podcast. New polling
from Texas Southern this morning shows Crocket leading James Tallerico
by eight points. Meantime, a leftist running for Texas Railroad
Commissioner is being called out for switching parties at the
last second to run as a Republican. Catherine Culbert spent
(23:15):
years campaigning, fundraising, acting as a radical Democrat.
Speaker 29 (23:19):
This is an individual who thinks she's somehow going to
trick voters into believing that she's someone she's not. People
see through that the voters are smart, and ultimately she
will not be successful.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
Jared Woodviille with Conservative Republicans of Texas. We reached out
to Culbert for comment, never heard back. Coming up on
five point thirty four. Another reason for the left to
complain as reports indicate the US could seize more oil
tankers off the coast of Venezuela. Opposition leader Maria Corina
Machado says, you know what, this really is the only

Now the US plans to keep the oil from the
tanker it sees this week. Oil prices are down slightly
this morning to fifty seven dollars and forty four cents

an average of two forty seven a gallon, a full
ten cents cheaper than what you paid one year ago. Today,

The man accused of killing Charlie Kirk appeared in court
for the first time in person yesterday. Tyler Robinson is
facing the death penalty. His attorney's the judge in the
case to ban cameras over potential bias concerns. Meantime, young
people in America are finding their faith, but that's not
the narrative that's being pushed by liberal national polsters.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
The liberal Pew Research Center claims there's no sign of
a religious revival among younger Americans, but Christian Collins, who
runs the Texas Youth Summit, says the evidence he sees
every day shows just the opposite.
Speaker 33 (25:25):
Bible sales are up one million over this point last year.

Beth Brellio with The Federalist says it's all over Netflix.

Forty one percent of Netflix children shows are pushing that
LGBT agenda. They are doing the show with children planning

It's not age appropriate.

It's up to parents to monitor and protect their children.
Five point thirty six the state clarified to Federal Lawn

the state. Sports Talk seven nineties Dunkpike says this was
originally meant to prevent flying over a large area of

Speaker 27 (26:30):
The real issue, though, that has fishermen upset, is beach
fishing for sharks because they use drones to carry their
baits out to deep enough water to get the bigger Sharks.
Speaker 5 (26:41):

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Yo yo fad off that student loan y'all five thirty
eight Our time here in Houston's Morning News. That's gotta
be a great feeling. I never had student loans, so
that's gotta be a great feeling. I just I had
a weird college experience. I was working full time in
radio while I was going to college, and I wasn't
living on campus, and intuition, when I went to college
(28:00):
billion years ago, it was a lot cheaper proposition, and
it was just I did a pays you go kind
of a thing because I rarely took a full load.
I just, you know, I would take like three or
four classes and pays you go kind of a thing.
It's great if you can do that. Not a lot
of college students have a full time job where they're
making money to be able to do something like that,
(28:20):
or but then again, you know, you do, I guess
what you got to do. Never was a big fan,
like I said, of student loans. I'm also not a
big fan of stealing money from the student loan program.
We get more and more of these stories. Is there
a government department where there is no thievery going on,
(28:41):
where there is no fraud and abuse going on? I don't.
I don't know that there is. When it surprised you
to learn that almost one billion dollars there's an attempt
to steal almost one billion dollars through fraudulent means from
the federal student loan program. Here's Education's Secretary Linda BigMan
(29:02):
talking about it.
Speaker 37 (29:03):
I'm proud to report and we've saved or we'll save,
about a billion dollars of taxpayer fraud for applications, you know,
through our student loan system. And it was really a
pretty simple thing to do.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
You think, by the fact.
Speaker 37 (29:17):
That when you buy your plane tickets or whatever, you
have to show an ID if you're going to run
a card, but there had been no kind of ID
verification as students filed, you know, their application.
Speaker 19 (29:29):
For student loan.
Speaker 37 (29:31):
And what we found was there were a lot of
bots and ghost students that were costing taxpayers money and
that those those loans had gone to people who didn't
exist or people who were dead. So we were able
to root out a lot of that by this I
call it a simple process, but we've clearly had a
lot of work that has been going on, you know,
(29:53):
with our IT department, the programs that are being put
in to root out this fraud and abuse.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
Can you get the money back?
Speaker 37 (29:58):
Well, I don't know that we can get the money back. Uh,
you know, it's really hard to claw back money. But
the good news is we're going to prevent it from
going out going forward, so we're going to save the
taxpayers money. So a lot of it, I think is
suggesting it has not yet gone out. We've identified that
it would go out, so we're going to clearly save
that money.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
One billion dollars. How long has that been going on?
Do you think? Is that like a yearly thing. They're
losing a billion dollars the student loan program because they
don't bother to ask for identification, and they're sending money
to dead people who applied for a student loan, or
ghost students that don't exist, or bots. Wow, it's frustrating,
(30:42):
isn't it frustrating to pay taxes and then have it
all stolen away from me? Five point forty one type
for traffic and whether together what you got sky mine?
Speaker 3 (30:50):

thank you Ian, that somebody could run right into it.
So let's watch out. I've already got a stall on

Now your in distance warning is the ACQUS killer Charlie
Kirk in court yesterday. The judge taking his sweet time
with this one. He's going to take until February to
decide whether or not he's going to allow cameras in
the courtroom. Laur Ingram and law professor Jonathan Turley last
night talking about it.
Speaker 39 (36:21):
Well, this is a very deliberative judge and I've been
impressed with him overall. He's he's I think, handling the case. Well,
it is not moving at a clip that one would
hope for. It's it's definitely going a bit slower. But
I think that reflects the fact that this judge wants
to be very cautious.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
You know.
Speaker 22 (36:41):
The fact is this is a case with overwhelming evidence.
Speaker 39 (36:44):
I mean, the prosecutors could probably lose ninety percent of
this evidence in a suppression hearing and still secure an
easy conviction.
Speaker 22 (36:53):
He has a presumption of innocence.
Speaker 39 (36:54):
But the evidence here you can't ignore is just the
strongest I've ever seen in a case. So the real
concern for the cord is not just he has to
protect the rights of the defendant, which is the primary
concern on these questions, but also he doesn't want to
commit reversible air because that tends to victimize the family
again because they have to go through this again. So
(37:17):
he's being very, very cautious. He's moving a bit slower,
but it's a deliberative pace, glacial pace.
Speaker 22 (37:24):
Jonathan.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
I agree with you.
Speaker 40 (37:26):
He seemed to have a very nice demeanor.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
But this is a glacial pain.
Speaker 22 (37:29):
You're being so diplomatic.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
This is why you're a law with us.
Speaker 40 (37:31):
You're much more diplomatic than I would be. I'm like,
make the decision at twenty four hours place, all right, Jonathan.
The suspects legal team arguing that their client's pre trial

Speaker 41 (37:54):
I think with a high degree of certainty we have
him right custody.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
What's going to happen to this guy? Well, I hope.
Speaker 7 (38:03):
It's going to be found guilty, I would imagine, and
I hope he gets to death penalty.
Speaker 11 (38:08):
Well that's his hope, the President's hope.
Speaker 22 (38:10):
I think most Americans.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
Hope on that.
Speaker 40 (38:12):
But they're going to argue that that comment from Trump,
of those comments from Trump would take any jury pool
or just a particular jury pool.
Speaker 22 (38:22):
Yeah, I don't think that dog will hunt.
Speaker 39 (38:24):
You know, the fact is this is a saturation of
the media environment. I mean that you everywhere you look,
this case is being discussed, their strong opinions. Yes, when
the president weighs in, that has influence here. You have
to deal with that in voadir when you question these
these jurors. But the fact is, it's like complaining about
(38:45):
the weather. You know, this is the case they court got,
everyone's talking about it. We're moving it further away from
the scene of the crime won't do much good. You'd
have to go to Mars to get away from all
of this coverage.

Well, if this was ever a Seinfeld episode, this is it.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
It is a Seinfeld episode.
Speaker 5 (47:24):
Actually, one or two hours now, I don't think you
need to wash them at that point.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
Right, There are two guys of people in the world.
Those who wear the socks and then put them in
the dirty laundry that would be me, or those who
wear them again and again and sometimes even again.
Speaker 10 (47:37):
No, I'm not the again again again guy.
Speaker 2 (47:40):
But here is the science on the story. Our feet
are a microscopic rainforest of bacteria and fung guy, typically
containing up to one thousand different species. Foot skin also
contains some of the highest amounts of sweat glands in
the human body. Bacteria and fung guy prefer to live
in the warm, moist areas between your toes, where they
(48:01):
consume the nutrients within your sweat and your dead skin cells.
Is this getting disgusting enough for you?
Speaker 10 (48:06):
It's a little early in the morning.
Speaker 2 (48:08):
In other words, the science says to wash your socks
after every time you wear them, no matter how long
you wear them. My question is, what is your policy
on socks? Do you wear them multiple times? Are the
sock combinations, by the way that you won't do. I
don't wear white socks. I've stopped with the white socks.
I've give up on white socks. I don't wear knee hides,
(48:30):
even though if I were to look at my sock
door somewhere there probably is a knee hid from back
of the day.
Speaker 10 (48:34):
As a runner. Compression socks are a thing.
Speaker 2 (48:36):
Well, compression is a different thing. Compression socks are there
to help circulate your blood and with all sorts of
health features. But what are your rules on socks? You
know the iHeartRadio a KTRH. Hit the talk back button
first name where you're calling from, and answer the question.
Please all right time for traffic and whether together.
Speaker 4 (48:53):
We talk about our drawers too.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
How often do you watch your drawers sky by every
single time?
Speaker 2 (49:00):
Either?
Speaker 4 (49:00):
Okay, so y'all talk about drawers on the app too.
All right.
Speaker 3 (49:03):
Our problem is I got a hazard. Look out, everybody
heads up on the North Sam. This is Dave from Brookshire.
Speaker 45 (49:09):
I see JFK Oberpath and somebody broke down literally on
the ramp. I kind of flash it on, but he's
out of the car on the left hand side and
he's trying to work on his car.
Speaker 13 (49:19):
Really told me how to get off to take the
extras Jfax to the boys.
Speaker 45 (49:23):
This guy, he's waiting to get hit.
Speaker 4 (49:24):
All right, that's a man. That's a great point. Thank you,
Dave from Brookshire.
Speaker 3 (49:27):
This is the North Sam eastbound flyover that goes to JFK.
Speaker 4 (49:31):
You're trying to hit the airport. Dude, you can't see.
Speaker 3 (49:34):
So if you've got a stall, you've got to get
out of that road. You've got to get out of
there because somebody could run.
Speaker 4 (49:40):
Right into you. East tex Scott and New Caney.
Speaker 2 (49:43):
I just heard you say there was jumping up in
New Caney waiting for more info on that because for me.
Speaker 4 (49:49):
It's forty five minutes from du Caney roach.
Speaker 3 (49:52):
All right, we had something around thirteen fourteen, but that's gone.
It doesn't look like we're plumb backed up from Porter
at the moment.

problems as we make our way from late in the

clouds up to seventy three, then we will have another
round of dence fog overnight and drop to sixty three.
Slight chance for a shower early tomorrow, then clearing a
high seventy four, cloudy, windy, and colder Sunday after an
early high in the low sixties, will fall through the
fifties during the afternoon.

All right, Tom Diddy, all subscribe to Netflix?
Speaker 2 (51:11):
Would you be surprised to know that nearly half of
all the Netflix shows show children well exposed I should say,
children to LGBT propaganda, at least according to report the
Federalists reported on it. We'll visit with Beth Brilliant, she's
a writer at the Federalists. We'll talk to her about
this coming up in just a moment. First, want to
remind you our St. Jude hang On, Our Saint Jude

Twenty twenty five, a year that we'll go down come
twenty twenty six is yet to come.
Speaker 6 (53:42):
The President's set the table.
Speaker 1 (53:44):
Come to us, use radio seven forty KTRH, and you
all watch House of Cards.
Speaker 2 (53:52):
That may be the one and only show that I've
actually spent time watching on Netflix back in the day
was House of Cards, and I think sill was one
of their most successful shows, but over I don't recall
any LGBTQ themes in House of Cards. There's murder in
mayhem and political intrigue, plenty of that, but that, of course,
(54:13):
it was only one of the many shows that they have.
This report says nearly half of Netflix kids shows exposed
children to LGBT propaganda. I never really thought of Netflix
is a place to go watch children's programming. Beth really
adjoins us. She's a writer at the Federalist. How many
kids shows do they have over there altogether?
Speaker 19 (54:32):
Beth, Well, I don't know what's the total number. I'm
not the one who did a study. It was the
Concerned Women for America, but what they found was that
forty one percent of Netflix shows are pushing LGBT agenda,
and it's just not The television is not children's television anymore.
(54:55):
I mean, it's got bright, shuney cartoons and it's very
cute of high squeaky voices, but the subject matter is
really not for kids anymore.
Speaker 2 (55:06):
Well, this has kind of been the template for quite
some time now, hasn't it. You take programming that will
attract children and you use it as a propaganda piece
to try to indoctrinate them. At very least, you're trying
to convince them that alternative lifestyles are perfectly fine and
perfectly normal. There's nothing unusual about two mommies or two daddies.
(55:27):
But they've gone way past that part. It used to
be kind of just the we're gonna tell everybody it's
okay for women to be with women and men to
be with men. But it's gone way past that now.
Speaker 19 (55:37):
Yeah, and the transagenda as well, it's out there. For example,
there's the television show eight to Twist Scientist. I love
that name. It's so cute at rhymes. It has children
planning a wedding for two men who are getting married
and not only do the men. You know, you may
(55:58):
kiss your husband the end of the wedding and everybody cheers,
but not only that, but the kiss throughout the entire episode,
like way too many kisses. And you know, I don't
even this is maybe unusual, but my son saved his
kissing until marriage. Even so, I mean, like, you know,
(56:20):
there are people out there who don't even want to
role model kissing before before marriage, let alone two men
kissing and children.
Speaker 6 (56:31):
What a dumb promise.
Speaker 19 (56:32):
Children don't plan weddings. I know you want to do fantasy,
but you know, we don't do shows about kids getting
car loans or kids sitting for job interviews because those
are adult themes and they're not topics for children. But
it neither is the LGBT agenda. But there it is
in front of your kids.
Speaker 2 (56:52):
Well, I noticed in your article too, who the executive
producers of that show you just talked about are Rock
and Michelle Obama?
Speaker 19 (57:02):
Yeah, yeah, Well they are in charge of a lot
of the things on Netflix, cartoons and beyond. I mean,
their fingerprints are on a lot of stuff. And if
you're watching a Netflix with that in mind, you can
just see it. You go, I wonder if Michelle or
if the Obamas are involved in this one, and almost
(57:24):
certainly it will be, you know, but you know, also
a lot of the shows that we know and trust
from our own childhood have been gading lesbian or trans up.
Like Strawberry Shortcake now has transberry characters. And there's an
episode you'll see some links in the story that we
(57:46):
posted on the Federalists, and the links are like, really
upsetting because Strawberry short But then they have this like
a big adult, burly man in a dress and the
kids are cheering him, and he's like, you know, they
have the correct response because they're cheering. And they talked
about being your authentic self and these things that are
(58:08):
very self absorbed, teaching the value that you know you
don't want to teach your kids. You can't let television
be the babysitter because you can't trust even the old
familiar shows anymore, like Magic School Buss or Power Rangers,
Babysitters Club, she wrote, and Fairly Odd Parents. They all
(58:29):
have gay scenes in them.
Speaker 2 (58:30):
Now, wow, let me ask you this, is this a
Hollywood problem? Is this a network problem at Netflix? Or
is this kind of an all of all of the
above problem.
Speaker 19 (58:41):
Well, this study only looked at Netflix and found forty
one percent of their programming has this LGBT program gramming
involved in adjustment children's shows. But we know that glad, the
you know, thelks that represent gay representation have a report
(59:05):
that they put out that talks about every year how
much representation that they have on television across the board,
and they found in twenty twenty four there was a
four percent increase and extra twenty one characters. There's like
four hundred and sixty eight characters on television right now
(59:27):
who are representing the gay lesbian alliance. So yeah, it's
every where you turn. Parents really need to be much
more vigilant than when we were younger.
Speaker 2 (59:39):
Well, thanks for illustrating that for us. I'm sure there's
a lot of folks listening with Netflix subscriptions that are
enlightened thanks to you. Beth appreciated. Beth brilliant. She's a
writer at the Federalist. Here's six twenty nine.

The President is committed to stopping the illegal flow of

Speaker 5 (01:03:20):
White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt says the US plans
to keep the oil from the tanker it sees this week.
Oil prices are down this morning to fifty seven dollars
and fifty one cents a barrel. In the meantime, Triple
A Texas is expecting eight point seven million drivers on
the road this holiday season one hundred ten million across
the country. Good news, uston gas prices this morning are

Speaker 4 (01:03:43):
Gas prices are at a four year low.

That certainly is an early holiday gift, helping millions save

death has led to a reported spiking young people pursuing Christianity,
but the liberal Pew Research Center claims there's no evidence
of a revival christian collins with Texas youth.
Speaker 10 (01:04:12):
Some it says the revival is absolutely real.
Speaker 33 (01:04:15):
I do believe, based on all my working with young
people in politics, that this generation gen Z is more
religious than millennials and Gen xers and boomers. They are
more religious, They're more interested in God, They're more interested
in faith.
Speaker 5 (01:04:28):
Bible sales are up by one point by a million

Speaker 47 (01:04:45):
A huge divide has grown, both due to technology and
work ethic.
Speaker 44 (01:04:49):
The way that younger people think and the way they're
conditioned is quite radically different than the generation right behind them.
Speaker 47 (01:04:56):
Texas workplace expert Scott Curly says gen Z employees are
more sensitive and less accountable, but part of the blame
falls on the older generations too.
Speaker 44 (01:05:05):
They got that way of thinking from somebody and the
older people, the older generation, we have to probably take
some ownership and accountability and why they think and octen
behave that way.

Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
So if you've heard about this judge, comrade judge who
has evidently been arrested multiple times for DWI. He's a
traffic judge. Does that strike you Maybe he's a little
bit of a conflict of interest your you're traffic judge
and you routinely drink and drive. He's had several bushes
(01:06:39):
with the law. He's been let off very easily every
time it's happened. It hasn't cost him his bench seat.
And I kind of have to wonder why. I guess
the excuse is is because he's an elected official. Here's
the report. By the way, let's learn more about this guy,
this judge. This is a report from our television partner
(01:07:02):
KPRC too.
Speaker 38 (01:07:03):
Judge Wagner was elected in twenty twenty two and takes
small cases like traffic tickets here, but I learned that
he's had his run ins with the law before. Hi
is a judge Wagner's nine year Oh alrighty. We tried
to speak with Judge William Wagener following his arrest overnight
Tuesday into Wednesday, but a family member told us he
(01:07:26):
wasn't home. Investigators say he was driving under the influence
and illegally carrying a handgun in his car. We've since
learned he returned back to the bench Wednesday afternoon. I
also learned he's been arrested before, not once, not twice,
but three times before. His first time goes back to
two thousand and eight for an evading arrest charge. In
(01:07:46):
that case, he completed a diversion program to get the
case dismissed. Then in twenty fourteen, he was arrested for DWY,
but the DA dismissed the case citing insufficient evidence. And
in twenty seventeen, he was arrested for DWI again in
San Antonio, but he took a plea deal to avoid
conviction and get his charge dismissed. On his website, Judge
(01:08:08):
Wagoner describes himself as a quote lifelong Texan and public
servant and quote his work is driven by the responsibility
he feels to protect families. Now, I did reach out
to the City of Conroe, and a spokesperson told me
they are aware of Judge Wagoner's arrest, but he is
an elected official and is still sitting on the bench.
Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
Yeah, still sit on well, yes, still sit on the bench.
By the way, with is there a worse feeling, by
the way, if you are a if you're a person,
any person, I guess when when you've got a television
fan outside of your house in there, Hello, we like
to talk to you, Judge Wagner, they're knocking on your door.
(01:08:51):
I don't think that's a very good feeling. And I
also have to wonder about this because, I mean, we've
all made mistakes in our life about, you know, consuming
alcohol and getting behind the wheel of the vehicle, most
mostly when we're young and stupid. This guy's not young,
he's a judge. He's not stupid, so is he? Is
he just an alcoholic who can't figure this out? I mean,
(01:09:12):
is there a reason why can he not afford to
like call somebody or call a cab or uber and
get get a drip, get somebody to drive him home.
Why does he have to go out and drink and drive?
And how often does this happen in his life? Because YO,
think about this, the amount of times that you know
you never got caught drinking and driving. I mean, that
(01:09:33):
doesn't happen all that often. You've got to be doing
it all the time to get caught three times take
forty one time for traffic and weather together. It's to
drive again.
Speaker 4 (01:09:41):
Drink you make dating mistakes too.

their parents who wonder how long will I have this child?
How is there any hope? And that's what they do
with Saint Jude. They give you hope. Do they cure
everybody who comes in the door. No, but they cure
a lot of them, and they they're curing more and
more every year. It's because of the research that they do.
They're one of the great institutions when it comes to
(01:12:32):
childhood cancer and researching that and their success rate is
just grown exponentially over the years. That's why we support them,
that's why we're trying to help them raise money. If
you'd like to become a partner in Helpe by pledging
just nineteen dollars a month to help kids at Saint
Jude facing cancer, it's really simple. You can put your

hear it multiple times. Democrats behaving badly in Congress Christinome
testifying she's getting asked about national security issues and she's
(01:14:57):
getting asked about the unfortunate incident involving two Nactual guardsmen,
and she said, what what did you call this? Anyway,
here she is interacting with a Democrat congressman in some
reaction on the other end from Jesse Waters on the five,
it's like O. J.
Speaker 49 (01:15:14):
Simpson that night on Bundy Drive, just an unfortunate situation.
They always have these terms, like what did Omar say
on nine to eleven? Some people did things where they
say Fort Hood was the workplace violence. They can never
just call a spade a spade terrorism. Remember the Obama years,
(01:15:34):
we just we would try to like wiggle around what
we call them.

You know that we could only give them jobs.

I can't believe he corrected himself and said the same thing, Benny,
my goodness, what's going on in Chicago? Constitutional law professor,
who I think is the smartest lawyer around. No offense, Harold.
(01:16:06):
He said, this is purely unconstitutional. Not only have the
supremacy claused Supreme Court President federal immigration law Barack Obama
went to the Supreme Court to say the federal government
controls immigration policy, and he won, Arizona lost. And you
cannot set up little enclaves where it's like, what can

can Pritzker say in this block? The IRS can't enforce
the tax code?
Speaker 2 (01:16:33):
No, of course not.
Speaker 49 (01:16:34):
The dumbest thing is they have this other little clause.
It's a thousand feet away from the courthouse. You can't
have ICE agents do their job. So some migrant can
just lease an apartment five hundred feet from a courthouse
and just sit there. He could just live in a
little sanctuary apartment. It's insane and it's gonna get knocked out.
Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
Yeah, you talk about JB. Pittzker, the governor Billinois, laying
down some rules as far where ice cannon cannot go
in the city of Chicago and of course, I says,

That is a real accomplishment.

the self deportations save taxpayer money. Senate rejects doing healthcare

Speaker 13 (01:21:55):
Obamacare led to a dramatic consolidation of every section in
the healthcare system, hospitals, hospital associations, insurance companies PBMs. It's
just a massive fafolidate. There's not one incentives to lower.

She's been against the races from the start, and she's
still mad about Dems voting down her attempt to raise
your taxes for her pet early childhood education program. Meantime,
the Texas Association of school Boards, already under fire from Conservatives,
is being called out by the Texas g for being

Speaker 8 (01:24:24):
We are already historical low point of the climate culp.
In my lifetime, I've never seen a collapse of political

Yeah, that's a look. White sox and flip flops. How
about the white sox? How about how about shorts with
white knee highs and dress shoes. The look that says
I'm eighty five and I've given up just I'm just
were what has been in my closet since nineteen sixty eight,
(01:26:10):
That's what that looks says. Well, we got started on
socks this morning because we had this story about how
many people, and it turns out a fair number of
us we wear socks without washing them, and science tells
us that's probably not a very good thing to do,
because there's nothing that has more funguy and microbes and
stinky stuff than your feet. Therefore, when you put on
(01:26:32):
a pair of socks and you wear them in shoes
for any length of time, you've already polluted the socks.
So rather than put polluted socks back on your feet again,
you should wash them. At least that's the recommendation so
I started wondering, Okay, I have not always washed my
socks every time. Sometimes I'll get dressed in the morning
(01:26:53):
in a pair of pants in a pair of socks
because it's cold, and then I'll switch over to shorts
after a couple of hours. And I don't think after
two hours the socks are dirty. But you might have
rules of your own.
Speaker 48 (01:27:05):
Yes, this is dirt Kingwood. The sock monster has yet
to be caught. He and his sidekick, a black lab
have probably caused ten to fifteen divorced socks at any
given time, yet too yet to find each other.
Speaker 22 (01:27:26):
Thank you, Hey morning, Jimmy.
Speaker 1 (01:27:29):
As far as your feet, you got to clean them
the old fashioned way and draws.
Speaker 4 (01:27:33):
It's just easier not to wear any.
Speaker 2 (01:27:37):
I was wondered if that was coming. We got to skybike,
got in well, Cliff got into the underwear thing.
Speaker 8 (01:27:43):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:27:45):
Yeah, we we have rules about underwear too. I don't readwear.
That is something if I put under If I put
a pair of underwear on for ten minutes and get
out of them, they're going in the dirty clothes hamper.

Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:27:56):

cannot be re born. Seven time for traffic, whether to

I've seen some breaks in the clouds where I am,
so I guess you're either getting the fog and you're
getting pretty heavy fog, or you're not getting the fog.
Speaker 21 (01:29:23):
Yeah, it's to be the case this morning and then
again late tonight and on Saturday morning before a front
mooster on Sunday. So visibility is certainly will be an
issue when that front arrives as we head towards Sunday.
In the meantime, though, dense fog advisory until nine this morning,
visibuilding down close to a quarter of a mile on
some spot, so use caution as you had early and
then for the afternoon to mix the clouds and sun.
As we hit seventy three, another round of dense fog

overnight down to sixty three, a slight chance for a
shower early tomorrow, then clearing with the highest seventy four,
and then the colder air moves in Sunday. We'll reach

to what sort of a post Charlie Kirk impact we're seeing.
I mean, we saw a lot of people going back
to church. We saw a lot of young people in particular,
who seem to be moved by the experience and maybe
moved back towards a more religious experience for themselves. A

aftermath of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, Christian Collins joins us,
founder of the Texas Use of It. I don't know
who they talk to, Christian, I don't know the you
know the ins and outs of this particular research piece,
But what do you make of it? Well, thank you
so much for having me on, Jimmy.
Speaker 18 (01:32:46):
Look, you know poles can be skewed, and there are
poles out there and statistics out there to get whatever
outcome you want. But I know a really good poll
from George Barna, and this syndicator is from twenty nineteen
through twenty twenty five, and it indicates that young men,
especially gen Z and Millennials, are trending upward as it
(01:33:07):
relates to their decision to commit and follow Jesus. And
I think Charlie Kirk's assassination only escalated those numbers. But
we're seeing a revival amongst our young people. And I
believe that a revival is a moment, but a great awakening,
that's something much more lasting that of which maybe we saw,
(01:33:29):
you know, earlier in the country's history, George Whitfield and
Jonathan Edwards and just people like that and maybe later
on Billy Graham, you know, and that there was more
sustained growth over a long period of time. But I
think we definitely saw a spike in the death of
Charlie Kirk. You think that Charlie Kirk's death was a
(01:33:50):
great awakening, at least for gen Z. Well, time will tell.
I think it's, you know, a great awakening is a
much bigger thing than a revival. A revival is a
moment a great awakening as a movement, and so I
think it's going to be interesting to see what happens.
I sure hope that it's a great awakening, because we're
all praying for that. But I definitely see that it's
(01:34:13):
been a revival, and I think there's a lot of
statistics that back then. If you look at the fact
that we have one million more Bible cells at this
point this year than we did last year, according to
a Fox News statistic, and then we can also say
assuredly that you know, church attendance has been up fifteen
percent since Charlie Kirk's assassination, And maybe a lot of
(01:34:35):
pastors aren't giving Charlie Kirk credit for that, but it
is true nonetheless. And I heard from pastor Rob McCoy
in Houston the other day. He was here preaching out
a church and he gave a lot of different statistics
and just talked about all the different events that are
happening around the country, and he's seeing it on the ground,
and so I definitely see it in my work here
(01:34:57):
in the Houston area. But I can attest to a
lot of different friends who are signaling that that's what
they're seeing across the country.
Speaker 2 (01:35:04):
We're talking to Christian Collins, founder of the Texas Youth Summon.
I wonder too, you know, getting back to that awakening
versus revival thing. To me, a revival is let's say
you went to church a lot as a youngster, your
parents took you to church. You came from a household
where church was at least a regular or semi regular
part of your life, and you maybe walked away from
(01:35:24):
it or got away from it or just kind of lapsed,
and then something like Charlie Kirk happens and you got,
I need to go back to my roots, and you
go back and you do it again. The awakening, to
me would be where people who have never were brought
up in a religious household, were never religious before, just
all of a sudden found their religion.
Speaker 18 (01:35:43):
Yeah, and that can be kind of construed here in
the Bible Belt South. I think there's a lot of
people who are culturally Christian, but maybe just they don't
go to church. They're not active, but they would say
that they believe in God.
Speaker 2 (01:35:56):
But that's very.
Speaker 18 (01:35:57):
Different than being you know, devout, where you go to
church four times a month, and you know, you're involved
in Bible studies and you're reading your Bible every day.
Speaker 2 (01:36:05):
That's that's a much firmer commitment.
Speaker 18 (01:36:08):
And so I think just from my personal experience, the
conversations that I've had with friends who were I would
say nominally culturally Christian at best, and now they're they're
becoming inspired after the Charlie Kirk assassination to want to
get involved in church.
Speaker 2 (01:36:25):
I've seen that firsthand, so I can attest to it. Well,
that's awesome because I think that's a part of the
revival of the traditional American family. I understand you're in Germany, Christian.
I am in Germany.
Speaker 18 (01:36:36):
I'm on my honeymoon, and I'm just grateful for the
opportunity to get to talk with you. And as soon
as someone reached out to me about the story, I
knew I had to speak up in support of faith
and of course Charlie Kirk and everything that he's meant
to our organization the Texas. So that so my bride
Genc She's very gracious to let me do this.
Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
Well, Teyler, thank you. We appreciate you having the time
to do this for us, especially on your honeymoon. Enjoy

Speaker 5 (01:39:26):
Here's Cliff Saunders, seven thirty two, our top story this morning.
Speaker 26 (01:39:29):
He is a proven human trafficker. He is a proven
gang member. The administration has evidence of that, and as
you saw from the Department of Homeland Security, they issued
a statement saying they'll continue to fight this legal battle
in court.
Speaker 5 (01:39:42):
White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt is illegal alien. Kilmar
Brego Garcia, accused gang member, is out of jail, freed
from ice custody by an Obama judge. Trump administration is
going to appeal another hit to this President's agenda as
Indiana rejects a proposal to redo its congressional map blocked

got a short political lifeline ahead of him.
Speaker 9 (01:40:09):
I'm sure that whatever his primary is is, I think
in two years.
Speaker 2 (01:40:12):
But I'm sure he'll go down.
Speaker 6 (01:40:14):
He'll go down. I'll certainly support anybody that wants to go.
Speaker 5 (01:40:18):
Against President Trump at the White House yesterday. Here at home,
Republicans are not the only ones calling out Texas Senate
candidate Jasmin Crockett. She's taking some friendly fire as well.
Speaker 28 (01:40:29):
To me, she violates the first rule of politics, and
that is in politics, you always make it about the
voters and never bought your house.
Speaker 5 (01:40:37):
James Carville on the Politics war Room podcast. New polling
from Texas Southern University shows Crockett leading James tallerco by
eight points, fifty one to forty three percent. A liberal
running for the Texas Railroad Commission is being called out

Speaker 29 (01:41:03):
This is an individual who thinks she's somehow going to
trick voters into believing that she's someone she's not.
Speaker 2 (01:41:10):
People see through that.
Speaker 29 (01:41:11):
The voters are smart, and ultimately she will not be successful.
Speaker 5 (01:41:15):
Jared Woodville with the Conservative Republicans of Texas, we reached
out to Colbert's campaign for comment, and we're still waiting
to hear back seven thirty four.
Speaker 10 (01:41:25):
Another reason for the left to complain.
Speaker 5 (01:41:27):
Reports say the US could seize more oil chankers off
the coast of Venezuela. Opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, though,
says it's the only way to get rid of Nicholas Maduro.
Speaker 30 (01:41:37):
We need to cut those flows, and once it happens
and repression is weakened, it's over, because that's the only
thing the regime has left, violence and terror.
Speaker 5 (01:41:49):
The US plans to keep the oil from the tanker
it seized earlier this week. All futures are down this
morning as gasoline prices ticked down overnight to two forty
seven a gallon of across the Houston area. That's ten
cents cheaper than what you were paying for exactly one
year ago. And this is a big break for the
millions of Texans about to hit the road for the holidays.
Speaker 31 (01:42:10):

have asked the judge in the case to ban cameras
over potential bias concerns. Meantime, young people at America are
finding their faith despite the narrative that's being pushed by
national liberal posters.
Speaker 2 (01:42:53):
The liberal Pew Research Center claims there's no sign of
a religious revival among younger Americans, but Christian Collins, who
runs the Texas Youth Summit, says the evidence he sees
every day shows just the opposite.
Speaker 33 (01:43:04):
Bible sales are up one million over this point last year,
and the second indicator is that church attendance has been
up by fifteen percent and campus survival nights. They're seeing
this happen all across the country.
Speaker 34 (01:43:17):
Collins believes gen Z is actually more religious than millennials,
Gen X, or even baby boomers, and he notes the
death of Charlie Kirk has spurred more interest in Christianity.

a really boring read, but the Woodlands investing in some
(01:45:42):
what they're called flock cameras. In case you haven't ever
heard that term, here's a report from k h o
U eleven about the new spy cameras in the Woodlands.
Speaker 51 (01:45:52):
More cameras will soon be watching you in the Woodlands
thanks to a township board decision to fund thirty flock
license plate reader like this. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office
says a batch of thirty cameras will go up in
strategic locations by next summer thanks to funding recently approved
again by the Woodlands Township Board. The cost is said
to be around ninety thousand dollars annually. Flock cameras have
(01:46:16):
exploded in popularity in recent years and are used by
governments and even private entities like Hoa's.
Speaker 2 (01:46:24):
The HOA thing would bother me. The Hoa's reading lives.
We're looking for people who haven't paid their HOA dues.
I would hope they would be out looking for, you know,
serious criminals. I would think that would be the best
use of something like a flock camera is you've got
somebody wanted for murder, or assault with a deadly weapon
(01:46:44):
or some sort of major charge, and you're just you know,
the police cruiser is going through the parking lot scanning
license plates looking for a match. I get that part,
you know, if we're just tracking down people who have
traffic fights and that kind of stuff, I'm not so sure.
But that's what I don't know about these flock cameras
in the woodlands is what the intended purpose is seven
(01:47:06):
not for traffic and weather together. As we check it
again with Skymike, Jimmy, it's dense fog. It's oh, it's
not smart fog. Thank you to ninety I got Mike

Yeah, middle part of this morning, we'll see that fox

clouds in sun for the afternoon, and it will be
warmer today or the hype of seventy three. Then more
dense fog will settle an overnight with clouds at a

Of Sing Dude Children's Research hospital and we think of
this hospital In, Memphis. Tennessee, Right but the fact of
the matter is you're located all across the. Country your
patients are located all across the. Country Is i'm guessing
that all fifty se are represented at any one time or. Another,
yes you're exactly. Right we have patients who live all
(01:52:04):
across the. Country we do have one, hospital it's In, Memphis.
Speaker 17 (01:52:07):
Tennessee but we do share our, research our protocols freely
with all fifty states and around the, world so we
are considered local because of. That we have patients who
are currently receiving treatment here locally because Of Saint.

Speaker 2 (01:52:24):
Presence how many patients do you have in The Memphis
hospital at any one.
Speaker 17 (01:52:27):
Time, well we treat about eighty three hundred kids a,
year so if you think about, it sixteen thousand kids
are diagnosed every year with, cancer so we're treating over.

Money you, know we were talking a little bit about,
this yes, today about the research aspect of, it AND
i think you sort of touched on That Saint Drew
Children's Research. HOSPITAL i like to put the emphasis on
research because you end up with a lot of patients
that cannot be treated anywhere else because they aren't doing
the research you're. Doing you the success rate in curing
(01:53:20):
cancer amongst kids has just grown exponentially since this whole
thing began in nineteen sixty. Two, yes it.
Speaker 17 (01:53:27):
Has, yeah we are really proud of the work that
we do and we're very collaborative around.
Speaker 52 (01:53:33):
That so you're. Right we are a research. Hospital we treat.
Speaker 17 (01:53:36):
Kids we are in patient, care treating kids with pediatric
cancer and other life threatening, diseases but we are also
a research. Facility we have a, cloud you, know people
can access the research at any, point, researchers doctors all

yeah If saint You Children's Research hospital wasn't taking care
of them taking care of their, needs taking care of
their child's medical.
Speaker 17 (01:54:45):
Attention, yeah it's it's so as you, know no, child
no family ever receives a bill for, treatment, travel, housing or, food,
right so they can focus on helping their child. Live
so on, average it cost about four hundred and fifty
thousand dollars to treat one.
Speaker 52 (01:55:00):
Child, wow and you're right with the.
Speaker 17 (01:55:02):
Experience like the experimental protocols that aren't or treatments that

to get the.
