If it's happening people coming across theboard of future Americas bring down inflation,
it happens here. I turn onKTRH on news Radio seven forty kdrh Okay,
it's only June, but already electionfatigue is setting in for some.
Let's welcome Joe Contra from Fox Newsin to talk about this with us.
Joe, good morning, Good morning, Happy Wednesday. Great to have you

(00:23):
here. Happy Wednesday. To yeartoo. So more than half of Americans
fifty eight percent, say they're followingthe presidential cycle very very closely. More
than that, sixty two percent saythey're really worn out by it. And
it's only June. What does thattell you? Does it give you any
indication as to which side is betterpositioned to ride this on for the next
five months. Well, I thinkwhat it tells us is that Donald Trump

(00:47):
has been a public figure as apolitician for nine years. He's been in
the papers, especially in New York, since the early nineteen eighties, so
we're talking forty years. Joe Bidenhas been a politicians since the early nineteen
seventies. They were talking more thanfifty years. So you have two guys
that basically have been around for onehundred years, almost literally in the public

(01:07):
eye, and we've seen this moviebefore as far as Biden versus Trump,
and the fatigue just sets in because, well, I think most people,
while they're following the presidential election, really how many are out there that could
be swayed one way or the other, given that most people already have a
definitive opinion about Donald Trump and JoeBiden. So to answer your question,

(01:29):
does fatigue favor one side or theother? No, I think the June
twenty seventh debate, everybody will bewatching that, everybody to the tune of
eighty ninety million people, as wenormally see with presidential debates, and that
will be probably the biggest moment ofthis campaign because it will be a referendum
primarily on Joe Biden to see ifhe could survive ninety minutes, even in

(01:52):
a friendly environment like CNN, andtake questions and answer them without the aid
of a teleprompter for a script, without cleanups on aisles five, seventeen,
twenty four, and twenty eight, when he invariably will screw up those answers.
Yeah, well, actually, youknow, since twenty twenty and even
before since twenty sixteen has all beenTrump, Trump, Trump, Trump,
Trump, for Trump and anti Trump. Very little has been done about policy,

(02:16):
whereas voters, voters seem to befeeling the effects of the policies of
this administration. And yet you don'tget any of that. You get the
discussion of can he last, CanJoe Biden last through the debate? Can
Donald Trump stay out of prison?I mean, it's all about do you

(02:36):
like these people? Do you notlike these people? When the country is
facing really serious crises? What weneed our policy discussions. Exactly to your
point, I would hope that Idon't have a lot of hope on this
that Jake Tapper and Dana Bash lookat Gallup and they see a poll that
talks about the most important issues tovoters, and Number one is inflation.

(02:59):
Prices are up twenty percent overall acrossthe board when compared to four years ago
under Joe Biden. That impacts everybody, especially the middle and lower class who
are already living paycheck to paycheck anddon't have the margins around just to absorb
those sort of costs. Number twoon the list as far as what's most
important to voters is immigration, andobviously illegal immigration. We saw a report

(03:22):
yesterday eight members of isis K wereapprehended in New York, Philadelphia, and
Los Angeles. Those are the onesthat we caught. God knows how many
other cells are forming as we speakin this country. It's a national security
issue. Obviously, it's a humanitarianissue, and we're seeing in social services
being cut in major cities because we'respending too much money on taking care of
a legal immigrants and not people whoare here legally. So that is a

(03:45):
huge issue. There better be alot of discussion about that. On June
twenty seventh, And if you're Trump, if Tapper doesn't ask the question,
or Dana Bass asked the question, they want to talk about climate change or
abortion or January sixth, pivot andtalk about it anyway. Answer the question
you want to ask, not theone that was asked. Obviously. Number
three is trusting government and poor leadership. People just think that in general,
people who are leaders right now don'thave their best interest at heart. It's

(04:10):
all obviously the weaponization of the justicesystem to try to take out opponents.
Obviously that pertains to Trump. Numberfour is foreign policy, endless wars going
on Ukraine, Russia obviously with Israeland Gaza all the money going towards that
as well. And number five ispoverty and homelessness, and that is a
very big deal obviously in cities likeLos Angeles or New York or Chicago or

(04:30):
Houston. And if this continues toget worse, usually the incumbent is the
one to blame because obviously it's happeningunder his watch. So, yes,
there is fatigue. Yes, thisseems to come down to is Joe Biden
toowl? Is Donald Trump? WhoHe's a convicted fellow, and we can't
possibly elect somebody like that, eventhough no one could actually identify the crime
that he committed. Yeah, let'shope that it is about policy, because

(04:54):
that's what people care about most guys. So true, Joe. We had
four minutes with Joe Kanca. Weneeded forty. Unfortunately we don't have them.
Job. Thank you for the he'sa good fast talker. Oh my
goshya that was phenomenal. I justwanted more of it, that's all,
Joe. Thanks for the time.We appreciate you. Thanks guys, prices
makes perfect. I'm a good one.
