Speaker 8 (02:29):
That crime to be committed, and this individual field be

it is absolutely open season here in Harris County.

Speaker 9 (03:10):
Kim Ogg was trying to essentially bleed my campaign dry
so that I couldn't compete in the election, right and
any prosecutor, any unscriptiel's prosecutor, could do that.

Speaker 6 (03:19):
And she also wined about the Trump administration cuts in
federal funding that she says could impact quote very important
services that the county provides. It's five oh three. It's

Metro is spending two hundred million bucks in a failing
attempt to increase ridership, and now they're planning to allocate
ten million into a city initiative on homelessness.

Speaker 14 (05:21):
Homelessness is affecting the Houston Metro system a lot of
them just.

Speaker 15 (05:24):
Get on the train right there by the jail and
we'll just basically camp out there, and so it causes
some real problems for Metro, especially on the light rails.

Speaker 14 (05:33):
Former Houston mayoral candidate Bill King believes this allocation of
funds from Metro is worth it.

Speaker 15 (05:38):
Metro actually has plenty of money, so this is a
way to take some of the burden all for the city.

cooperation with Zelenski.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
Jared Halper reporting gold prices this morning are at twenty
eight hundred dollars announced and change set for their biggest
weekly drop since November, and there's this. The demand for
red metal copper is up, but our supplies are running low.
In fact, demand is projected to double over the next decade.

Speaker 17 (06:38):
AI applications require more energy intense computing, and it's expected
to increase copper demand by three point four million tons
each year all the way up to the year twenty fifties.
So everything from electric vehicles, the grid and renewable technologies.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
Metals expert Phillips Struggle says copper's mind now put in
the US has fallen eleven percent since twenty twenty one.
It's now five oh seven. We have more questions than
answers about the death of the legendary actor Gene Hackman
and his wife in New Mexico.

Speaker 18 (07:08):
There was no indication of a struggle. There was no
indication of anything that was missing from the home or disturbed.
You know, that would be indication that there was a
crime that had occurred.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
Santa Fe County Sheriff of Don Mendoza says there were
open pill bottles and pills found near the body of
Hackman's wife and the Rockets host Sacramento tomorrow will have
the pregame at six on Sports Talk seven ninety. I'm
Cliff Saunders on Houston's News weather in traffic station k TRH.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
This is Houston's Morning News with Jimmy Barrett, five eight
hour time here in Houston's Morning News.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
I knew this would happen. I knew as soon as
they put it out there that, yeah, here's an idea.
Let's give every taxpayer a five thousand dollars DOGE dividend
checks so they can sing that the money we are
saving is at least a portion of it going back
to the taxpayers, which course never happens, right, never happens

(08:10):
or very rarely does, where we actually get some of
our taxpayer money back. They usually apply it to some
other program. Maybe they would apply it to the deficit,
which is I mean, if you want to pay off
the deficit with it, that that's fine too. But I
think knowing how long, how deep the deficit is, how

(08:33):
long it's going to take in order to be able
to do that, if indeed that's what we ultimately really do,
in God knows, I hope we do, it is kind
of a nice gesture of faith, right to tell Americans, listen,
we're making all these cuts, but we realize that we
misspent your money, good lord, we misspent your money. We
spent misspent millions of dollars, or on an individual taxpayer,

(08:57):
thousands of dollars. We spent misspent thousands of dollars dollars
that you paid us in taxes. So the least we
can do is give you some of this back. That
was the original idea behind the Doge divinend. Now we
haven't gotten any Doge dividend yet, we haven't gotten the
commitment one hundred percent commitment for Doge dividing yet. But
there is a proposal of it deadly which would make

(09:18):
it law. Yes, make it law. They're talking about a
bill that would be the Doze dividend bill that would
distribute twenty percent of all the government savings to the
taxpayers period, no matter how much they say, twenty percent
would go back to the taxpayers. Now, what we don't know,

(09:39):
and what I proposed before, is that not all taxpayers
are created equal, no offense. But there are some people
who pay little in taxes and some people who pay
a lot in taxes, and it doesn't seem fair to
me that everybody gets the same thing. That's a little
too socialist for my taste. So I think it should
be based on your income level or the level you
have been taxed, as far as how big your dose

(10:01):
dividend check is. But I do like the idea of
just going ahead, go ahead and qualify it. Twenty percent
of all future government savings go back to the taxpayer.
Five ten tie for traffic and weather. Together. As we
check out the drive again the sky mike, Oh, hit
him on, move him out. We've got trail rides coming in.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
I'll talk about that through the morning, and also we'll
add that I'm going to share that with Katie and
the rest of the staff here so we know what's
going on.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
We've got Katie Freeway.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
For some reason, they're showing me this shot at fourteen
sixty three. Looks like maybe they had something on the
inbound earlier. It's clear whatever it is. Reset the jackpot
there downtown. You've got the Katie Freeway. This is a
vehicle fire that's moved over to the side. Jumpin Joe,
one of my best friends in the world. He's working
for that country station across the street that doesn't play

(10:49):
actual country, and he's got a vehicle fire shot for
me here. It's the right side and inbound. There's really
no scooch from this.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
Just watch out. Give the hfds, the HPDs.

Speaker 5 (10:59):
And the tow t and just a little extra space there, Terry.
By the way, there's two things that surprised me about
you singing Smoke on the Water on the air yesterday.
Plant number One, I thought you were way too well
behaved a student to hang around with my kind of click.
And the second thing is you had to have been
way too young to know that song. Of course, I'm
a generator supercenter dot com traffic center.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
Your dad knew it. Maybe she's just a student of music.
There you go. And by the way, like most of
us were alive went out, most of us are war alive.
And seventies if you can remember the seventies, you weren't there.
You just weren't. From r KTRH to Fax Defenders twenty
four hour whether that entire smith is here. Hey, we

(11:43):
got to figure this out today. Yesterday was insane. I
mean all over the Houston Metro. I mean we had
school fights going on. We had a jail right going on.
Oh my goodness, I know we're starting a new move
and we got a new moon, and we got planets
lining up with each other. It's something's going on out there.

Speaker 19 (12:00):
Okay, I'm gonna have to investigate it. I'm just like
enjoying lower humidity. That is what gets me going in
the morning, is to see, Ah, the temperatures are cooler
and the humidity is lower.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
This is nice, all right. Well, let me go check.

Speaker 19 (12:15):
Out what the moon's doing and see if that played
a role in the insanity.

Speaker 20 (12:21):
Yes.

Speaker 19 (12:21):
Today, Hey, listen, everybody get outside this weekend, burn off
some of that energy, get some free vitamin D. Because
Mother Nature is making the best weather for the weekend.
We are sunny and dry and the humidities in check.
And that's always nice because we're gonna have plenty of

(12:41):
heat and humidity in the not too distant future. Temperatures
today in the seventies, low to upper seventies. Tomorrow's a
little bit warmer for most of us, upper seventies to
low eighties. Sunday still in the seventies. Then Monday we
have a twenty percent chance of rain, and Tuesday of
sixty percent chance of showers and storms. And Tuesday could

(13:03):
be around of spring thunderstorms.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Okay, this will be a head starter on your planet.
Thing too. Yeah, we have seven planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus,
and Neptune have all lined up horizontally in a planetary
parade that won't be seen again until twenty forty. Yes,
very cool. Maybe it's the planets. Let's blame the planets.
Could be some sort of a gravitational pull. I don't know,

(13:27):
some words going on temperature, right Aliens, Well maybe yeah,

That was a student lint and a vehicle fire. Looks

their thing. Give them some space. Got a new problem.

Thirty hell living friends with your forecast is at the
bottom of the hour on seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 21 (15:59):
That sound like.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
About the energy level they had at Liberty County Jail yesterday.
What was going on?

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Why?

Speaker 4 (16:06):
Why did they decide all of us I guess there
was some sort of a crackdown on you know, the
thing that you always have a trouble with, and especially
at the jail level, is people sneaking drugs and other
things into the jail. Right, so they have these you know,
they have these things where they just kind of cracked
down and you know, start searching everybody, and evidently the
prisoners got all p oed and it fell apart in

(16:28):
a great, big hurry. They had a whole bunch of
different departments who were responding to this, and after it
was all over and done with and everything was back
under control, Lieutenant Bennett from UH from Liberty County explained
exactly what was going on or what had happened, what
had transpired at the Liberty County jail.

Speaker 22 (16:48):
We got called and basically said that there was a
large scale disturbance that was taking place inside the Liberty
County jail and they needed everybody that they could get to.

Speaker 21 (16:56):
Show up to the jail.

Speaker 22 (16:58):
Most of the people that showed up got here with
it five to ten minutes when I showed up on
seeing Liberty PD. I think Dayton PD was already here,
DPS and other sheriff's deputies.

Speaker 21 (17:08):
The call came in our jail staff.

Speaker 22 (17:09):
We have deputies that work inside of the jail and
they were doing shakedowns.

Speaker 21 (17:13):
Look these people inside this jail, they try to get
stuff in.

Speaker 22 (17:15):
They tried to cross problems and we make sure that
we keep that under control. So they were doing an
initial search. When the search took place, they got out
of hand, started raising a ruckus and our guys backed out.
They contained it. They started busting windows inside of the dorms.
They started covering the windows so we couldn't see inside.
When I showed up on seeing there was approximately six

(17:36):
windows that were busted.

Speaker 21 (17:37):
There's two panes in these windows.

Speaker 22 (17:38):
The inside panes were busted, and then we had the
outside pains which they had not breached yet. As soon
as we walked in, as soon as we got a
team together to walk inside one of the dorms that
had approximately twenty one people in it, just laid it down.
They understood that that sign of force that we were
coming in and they just laid it down. We were
able to flex cuff them secure that pod, and we
started working on the other pod, the second pod. I

(17:59):
believe that actually had twenty three people inside of it.
That one was a lot more, a lot more agitated
worked up. That was the one that really started it all.
To be honest with you, we had four or five
I think that were really instigating the whole situation. There's
some slots on the side of the cell. We call
them bean slots. It's a small opening that you can
open up and you can communicate, or you can do

(18:20):
what you have to do to pass food through it.

Speaker 21 (18:22):
Sometimes we have situations like this. They had made it to.

Speaker 22 (18:25):
Where we couldn't open that or open the doors one
of the windows that they had busted.

Speaker 21 (18:29):
Just because we couldn't get inside.

Speaker 22 (18:31):
We went ahead and broke it from the outside and
started putting forty milimeters rounds inside. As far as the
gas we gased that dorm, we let it set. They
still weren't allowing us to come inside. We were communicating
them from the outside and from the inside of the facility,
just telling them if they weren't involved in this, they.

Speaker 21 (18:47):
Needed to lay on the ground.

Speaker 22 (18:48):
If they were when we came in, we were gonna
take that sign of force, or we're gonna take that
sign of aggression, and we were gonna treat it appropriately.
Once we were able to get inside the dorm or on,
once we let them sit there for a little bit
and started calm them down talking to him, we were
able to get the rest of them to semi cooperate.
We made entry. There was one that tried to resist
it did not work out for him. He was ended

(19:10):
up putting flex cups and we secured the building.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
I love it. There's one divine who says it didn't
work out for him. You know, you always wonder about that,
right have you ever? I'd never even been to jail.
I have never been to jail. It is one of
my great I think that's the one thing that kept
me on the street and narrow as a teenager was
I knew I'd be scared to death to go to jail.

(19:36):
I'd be more afraid of what my father would do
if I went to jail than to jail itself. But
there's there's always somebody who thinks they can fight the system, right,
and at the end of the day that it's probably
that one dude, you know, that one guy there at
the end who even though everybody is surrendered, everybody's calm
him down, he still wants to He still wants to

(19:58):
be the man. And as he said, it did not
end up well. By twenty seven, it is time to
take a look at your money. Denise Pelagreney is here.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 23 (20:08):
Well, if your money is in bitcoin, you're losing some
today because bitcoin is down just about twenty five percent,
or at least it hit that low from its all
time high on President Trump's TARFF threats, which have really
rocked the crypto space stock futures. Right now they are
higher though after yesterday's route doll up one forty nine

Thank you, Jimmy five thirty two on KTRHR. Top story,
next step.

Speaker 26 (22:43):
We're making this toward a very achievable cease fire. We
hope that that can have happened.

Speaker 6 (22:49):
Quickly President Trump yesterday ahead of the meeting with Ukraine's
Vladimir Zelenski. As today the two countries will sign a
deal giving the Americans access to Ukraine's rare earth minerals
payment for everything Joe Biden gave Ukraine over the last
three years. Now, this meeting comes one day after the
British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer was at the White House.

Speaker 27 (23:10):
We stand side by side still today and we're focused
now on bringing an enduring end to the barbaric war
in Ukraine.

Speaker 6 (23:19):
So, if you're keeping score, Starmer, Zelenski and Francis McCrone
were all at the White House to meet with Trump
this week. The president will also need to address the
growing alliance between Russia and China, which accelerated under the Biden.
White House Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Breitbart President
and Trump wants to approach both countries diplomatically.

Speaker 28 (23:42):
We're going to have competition and even potential direct confrontation,
not military, I hope, but otherwise with the Chinese, because
they're doing all kinds of cheating and stealing when it
comes to trade in economics. So we're gonna have disagreements
with the Russians, but we have to have a relationship
with both. These are big, powerful countries with nuclear stockpiles.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
The effort, similar to Unpresident Richard Nixon successfully prevented a
China Soviet Union alliance during the Cold War. It's now
five point thirty three. The Epstein files were finally released
by the Justice Department, and they did not live up
to the hype.

Be informed, be on time.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
Houston's Morning News continues with Jimmy Arrett five thirty eight
our time here in Houston's Morning. He's right, the measles
have struck in West Texas, and here come all the editorials.
Where is RFK Junior. See he's an anti vaxer. He
doesn't want to have anything to do with the Texas

(28:49):
measil cases. Why isn't the federal government out there helping people?
Well he by the way, RFK Junior taking a little
bit of a way to see maybe the reason why
this is more difficult to help than the cases is
it involves religion. And that's an aspect of the Texas

(29:12):
measles cases you don't hear much about, right, the religious aspect.
The Mennonite population is the one that's being affected by
the musicals outbreak for the most part of the Mennonites.
By the way, kind of a loosely affiliated church. Church
group worldwide includes includesive rity different groups, including the Amish.

(29:35):
So I don't know specifically if these are Amish or
but they were told they are part of the Mennonite community,
which means that they generally don't believe in a lot
of modern things, including vaccines. We have always allowed people
to follow their personal religious beliefs, even as it relates

(29:59):
to and maybe a specially relates to things like vaccines.
Now here's the thing. The measles started with somebody is somewhere.
If these Amish didn't have the measles, they were exposed
to the measles from some worse from somebody who did.
Being West Texas and all, is it too much of

(30:21):
a stretch to think that maybe somebody in their community
came into contact with somebody who had come into this country,
maybe illegally, for example, from another country where vaccines are
not required or given, and contracted measles that way, and
now it's spreading in their community because of a lack
of vaccines, because they don't take the vaccine. Yeah. Probably.
So how much government involvement are we going to have

(30:44):
in something like this? What would we have RFK Junior
do go preach to them about their religious beliefs and
how they really should take vaccines despite the fact that
it's against the religious police to do so, what would
you have him do? Time for traffic and weather together,
we're checking out the drive again here sky Mite.

Speaker 5 (31:03):
All right, Well, if you're just moving to Houston this
year and about this afternoon you start seeing horses and wagons, Yes,
this is perfectly normal in h town. We do this
every year, the rodeo trail rides and they're coming from
all directions. So if you've got plans for our business
this afternoon, just get ready for some smunches here where

(31:23):
we don't normally have smunches Katie Freeway student on. That's
a vehicle fire. They've moved it over to the side.
No big whoop. Let's just watch out coming in from
Heights Boulevard. Now we've got a west sam northbound.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
Deal at it.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
That's a bad spot for a stall way up on.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
That exit ramp.

Speaker 5 (31:38):
So if you're coming up from Memorial, watch out. And
let's see who's riding in on the northwest side. I
got the oldest trail ride in Texas, the Saltgrass Trail
Ride Terry seventy four years old, coming in. I bet
you can't find cat Spring on your map this morning, Katie.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
They stayed on.

Speaker 5 (31:56):
They're coming down Katie Hockley Road. They're going to go
through Clay Road, kemp Wood, the West Sad for a
little bit and Twine. Of course they'll ride with the
rest of everybody else that head down Memorial. And yeah,
they're the oldest trail ride Salt Grass Prairie View coming
in from Himpstead, sixty eight year old trail ride.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
And they were smart.

Speaker 5 (32:15):
They stayed in the northwest side over by Community of
Faith Church so they could party longer.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
I guess last night they're.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
Coming down Piemont Bingle and again Memorials the place to see.

Speaker 35 (32:44):
Cat Spring?

Speaker 4 (32:45):
Okay, do you found cat Spring?

Speaker 21 (32:46):
I did?

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Congratulations, Thank you.

Speaker 19 (32:49):
I was like, okay, challenge accept it.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
It looks like.

Speaker 19 (32:53):
It's northwest of Sealy. Uh are you familiar with that, Skymike, Well.

Speaker 5 (32:59):
Yeah, Sister station Dana Tyson from Sunday is from cat Spring.

Speaker 10 (33:02):
So cool.

Speaker 4 (33:04):
All right, I'm going out and let you do your thing,
all right, all right. Well, Fortunately there's not a lot of.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
Yeah, but you're right now fifty one at your official
severe weather station, News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
What you need to know for the day ahead.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
This is Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New
South Windows Solutions.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
So I've already mentioned her name once this morning. I'll
probably be mentioning it a few more times. It's a
name you need to hear. Her name is Hillary Unger.
She's a judge, and for the second time now she's
made bond possible for an accused cop killer capital murder
case against the police officer, this one being the accused shooter.

(34:10):
Where granted it's a lot of money three million dollar bond,
but three billion dollar bond you only need post ten
percent or to get out. The last guy with a
one million dollar bond was able to post it. So
this is a judge who obviously believes that anybody, regardless
of what they're accused of or what kind of potential
danger they are to society, anybody should be able to

(34:32):
get out of jail. So we'll have born this coming
up in a few moments. First though, traffic and weather
together as we check out the drive once again with
the skyline.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
Let's remember it's going to get crazy around the South
Loop today, Fannin Kirby Ost Buffalo Speedway and all that
business for the cookoff. And it's gonna smell really good too.
You got a stall on the Cadie Freeway inbound that
stew to mind, that's over on the side, No big whoop.
Just watch out Chris from Hockeyley's on two ninety.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
Mike, he's flowing shot in the highway to nine.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
All right, outstanding banana stickers there. Oh, I got one
more northwest side.

Speaker 36 (35:05):
Good morning, monkey, Monkey, slow up your favorite cow girl Bia.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
We're already come down today for the big rodeo.

Speaker 4 (35:14):
All right, watch out for those trail rides. I'm in
the Generator Supercenter dot Com Traffic Center from r KTRH
Generator's super Center twenty four hour weather Center. Partly cloudie
looks like about seventy seven today, becoming mostly sunny eighty
two tomorrow. Mix of sunny cloud seventy four for the
high on Sunday. Right now, temperature is fifty one at

(35:35):
your official Severe Weather station news Radio seven forty k TRH.
It's time to check out some more of our top
Friday morning stories. Here's Cliff, Thank.

Speaker 6 (35:43):
You, Jimmy, brought to you by Partners in building the
same soft on crime Harris County judge that allowed one
accused cop killer to post bail, raises bond for his accomplice,
or rather sets bond for his accomplice. The Department of
Education launches an nd DEI partal for public complaints, and
an ethics complaint is filed against Houston Congressman Dan Crenshaw, who,

(36:06):
as you know by listening to Jimmy, was caught on
a hot mic this week saying he wanted to kill
Tucker Carlson.

Speaker 4 (36:11):
You mean you shouldn't try to kill somebody. Maybe it's
not idea. You're sitting congressman. Maybe that's a bad idea.

Federal judge has blat flap dlock access to stay in
the game with US Radio seven forty kt RH.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
This judge is happy to let you loose. Yeah, yeah,
just poster bond five fifty three R time here in
Houston Sporning News. Now, granted, like I said, three million
dollar bond is it's a lot of money. I mean
even ten percent is a lot of money. But maybe
they'll be able to come up with it, in which
case the second accused, you know, cop killer gets out.
This guy is the accused shooter. So we're gonna ask judge.

(36:58):
Hillary Hunger wants three million dollar bond. But but it's
important that you know, everybody gets bond, evidently in Hillary
Hunger's world. Doug Griffith joins us president of the Houston
Police Officers Union. I never thought we'd live to see
this kind of day, Doug, what about you?

Speaker 7 (37:13):
No, sir, this is the first time I can remember
in Harris County where we have an alleged cop killer
that they're going to let out on bond. And what
kills me on this particular case. Yeah, they may have
given him a million dollar bond, but he made it.
He made that bond. And not only that he's asking
he's saying he's indigent, so he's asking.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
Harris County to represent him.

Speaker 7 (37:37):
We're paid for his defense, but he has the money
to bomb out a million dollar bond.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
Yeah, that's assuming he sticks around, you know, if I
were him again, that's That's one of the reasons why
you generally speaking, don't grant bond to somebody who's an
accused cop killer is that if they have the opportunity
to just leave and flee to Mexico or go somewhere else,
then chances you would think are probably fairly high that
they're going to do that, because, after all, you face

(38:04):
a likelihood of a death penalty if you're found guilty.

Speaker 7 (38:07):
Yes, and you have to understand this, judge, this ain't
her first time. We have at least eight citizens of
Paris County are dead because of her.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
She has allowed people to walk out.

Speaker 7 (38:18):
On bonds at least eight times, people with multiple thiony bonds.
She's given another bond, they get out and they kill
someone eight. She doesn't care about the citizens of Paris County.
She doesn't care about a law enforcement community.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
She needs to give so in her case, has she
ever required a defendant to stay over with Nobana? Has
she ever denied bail or bond anybody as far as
we know.

Speaker 7 (38:45):
There, As far as I know, no, And the deal
is she's using a law that she's misinterpreting because this
guy was on probation at some point, which means he's
obviously failed to comply with those restrictions, and she still
lets them out on bond. This has happened over and

(39:06):
over Harris County, and she's one of the worst offenders
of this. Greg Glass, he was a voluntar. He let
a guy out that killed one of our ulcers. She
lets this person out kills one of our deputies in
Harris County. She needs to go the same way of
Greg Glass.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
Yeah, well, and hopefully she will. Certainly she's going to
get her fair shore with hope of bad publicity on
this one. Now. I'm on our website right now and
I'm ringing under her core belief. She says, as a
former prosecutor and defense attorney, I have a uniquely balanced perspective.
Courts should find alternatives to incarceration with an eye towards rehabilitation,
a reduction of recidivism, and an increase in community safety.

(39:45):
Where's the increase in community safety when you let the
cop killer loose?

Speaker 7 (39:50):
Absolutely, she is one of these radical judges that has
to go. We have to butter her out in the
next election, and I'm going to do everything I can
to make sure that happens.

Speaker 4 (39:59):

interferes with the teacher's ability to communicate or with other
students' ability. To learn that could be as simple as
just not wanting to. Shut up they could also remove
somebody who demonstrates behavior that is unrually disruptive, or abusive
which is pretty. Broad definition this includes if the students
engaged in contact that. Constitutes bullying it also requires that

(48:57):
a parent or guardian teacher provide written consent whenever student
has returned to. A classroom under, these circumstances the teacher
may not be coerced to Consent to the. Bill states
it also includes provisions where a student may appeal. The,
removal listen this is this is not even a. Good
start this is this is we are so far gone
in many of our schools when it comes. TO discipline
i would like to make a couple. Of suggestions, NUMBER

(49:19):
one i would like to remove a. Compulsive education we
need to stop dragging kids to school who don't want
to be there because they ruin it for. Everybody else
you either put them in an alternative school where they
can ruin it for other kids who have already ruined
it for, somebody else or you say you can't come

(49:40):
to school. Here anymore. You're expelled we should not be
accepting any students who have are, convicted felons because that's
what happens in school. Systems now it is kids who
have served jail time and gotten out. Of jail once
they've served, the time they go back. To school if
you're a, convicted fella you should not be in a
public school under. Any Circumstance so i'm wondering here maybe

(50:05):
we need a question today. On this that's kind of a,
broad Question but i'll let you Get your nichols worth.
In here just Tell me by going To The iHeart RADIO,
app ktrh put us on your preset and click. The
microphone you get. Thirty seconds first name where you're, calling

ON hoosiers i guess that was just, you, KNOW uh
i love great, sports movies and that was a great,
sports movie Even Though gene hackman when he, did it
didn't think it was. Very good, in fact when he was,
filming it he told he told one of his, CO
actors i think this is the end of. Our career
and as it, turned out it was a great boost for.

(56:06):
His career, All right so what Happened To, gene hackman
his wife and. His dog we just we don't know,
the answer but we know that people are trying to figure.

Speaker 36 (56:13):
It.

Speaker 4 (56:13):
Out obviously here is the nine to one one call
followed by A retired fbi agents and the forensic scientist
trying to figure out what the case. May be here
as far as what happened To, the hackmans.

Speaker 20 (56:26):
Here is part of a nine to one one call
that was made by a maintenance worker after he looked
inside a window of the house and saw bodies on.

Speaker 34 (56:33):
The floor i've seen you found to a one deceased
person inside a house.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
Up femail and the, MAIL probably i. DON'T know i
don't Know if i've just seen somebody up real. QUICK
breathing i have. No idea i'm not inside.

Speaker 40 (56:53):
The house it's closed AS long i can't, go IN
but i see that she's laying down on from.

Speaker 2 (56:59):
The one let's start with.

Speaker 20 (57:01):
What matters what we need to know is what, you know,
the autopsy, the toxicology, of Course, but bobby what is
your list?

Speaker 4 (57:07):
Of, QUESTIONS well i want to know if there's.

Speaker 41 (57:09):
Any indication that anybody else was in. The house so
the crime scene team did a, search warrant did a
crime scene examination over night through. The HOUSE so i want,
to know, you know if they found any other evidence
that anyone else that shouldn't have been there was in.
THAT house i also want, to know, you know the
approximate date. Of death SO who i can check any
video cameras that to, gated community maybe their cameras at,
the gate who came? And went who are going to?

(57:32):
BE identified i want to know their. FINANCIAL dealings i
want to look at their. BANK statements i want to
look at. Their COMPUTERS so i have a lot of
questions about their. Personal lives what was happening in their.
Personal lives talk to, family members talk, to neighbors and
then wait and see from the forensic examination of, the
house what physical evidence that the crime scene matches up

(57:53):
with the, autopsy results and see if we can make anything.

Speaker 20 (57:56):
From that counselor people are jumping at the prescription bottle as.
A fact, to me the most interesting fact is that
two of the dogs were. Still alive so the whole
ritualistic you were all going together thing kind of goes out.

Speaker 42 (58:09):
THE window i was thinking that the headline that the
breaking NEWS that i saw, this morning when It Said,
gene hackman his wife and dog all, found dead no foul.

Speaker 4 (58:19):
PLAY suspected, i said that's not going to.

Speaker 43 (58:21):
Age well AND then i, started thinking, you know given
his age and, a fall and then she's in, the
bathroom could it be a situation where he fell she
had coincidentally had some kind of a, medical emergency and
the one dog you mentioned was a kennel and you

(58:43):
just had this kind of critical mass of weird things
that happened all at the, same time and nobody there
to kind of attend. TO them i, don't know it,
is WEIRD and i agree. With you the toxicology will.
BE interesting i think it's going to be more interesting
to see what her cause of. DEATH is i think
when you're at. Ninety five you could go at.

Speaker 4 (59:03):
Any minute that's. A, fact yeah the toxicology report maybe
the information we need in order to be able to
figure this. One out six. Twenty seventy it is time
to take a look at. Your Money here's. Denise, pellagreeny yeah.

Speaker 23 (59:14):
How'd you like to go TO the atm and find
you have an extra eighty one trillion dollars in your?

A city. Bank customer they were supposed to put in
two hundred and, eighty dollars but they got that. Number
wrong they reverse. The transaction, Of course city could be
a good place to, bank Though Because financial times also

not sure but sometime this morning they're supposed to. Get
that information we'll see what they're. Able to, get so
far not very impressive what they've been, able, to do including,

(01:08:04):
by the way from victim's advocate attorney actually she actually
represents Several of, the Epstein Victims. Attorney jennifer freeman she
was not impressed with what. WE learned yesterday i have.

Speaker 45 (01:08:15):
A little bit of.

Speaker 46 (01:08:16):
A hoe hum i've certainly seen A bunch, of epstein
documents but this was. Not particularly informative the one thing
that really was informative to me because this is some
of The issues that i've been focused ON and what
i consider one of the missing Links of the epstein
case is references to WHAT we call ceesam child, sex
abuse material which used to be, called child pornography and

(01:08:39):
there was a number of, references of that and that
had the government done their job and, FOCUSED on that
i think would have completely changed the Complexion of the epstein.
Investigation and indictment.

Speaker 4 (01:08:51):
What would convince you that?

Speaker 35 (01:08:52):
We've seen everything And Given the gilianes maxwell's, appeal is
ongoing are we going?

Speaker 14 (01:08:58):
To?

Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
GET everything well.

and cash fattel because. They're both motivated anyone, can Get
it shouldn't they already, Have it absolutely but they don't
and they, know they don't. AND they're, pushing i mean
an eight am turnaround is, a very, fast aggressive turnaround.

(01:09:20):
As is, APPROPRIATE but look i don't, Give up either
so we're going to get to the bottom of this one.
WAY or another i called for an investigation OF what
the fbi did and Didn't do in may of, twenty
TWENTY three and i still, don't HAVE answers but i.

Speaker 4 (01:09:36):
Will get, them the, question of course is WHO is
the fbi protecting and why are? They protecting them is
there SOMEBODY within the fbi Itself Involved? With jeffrey epstein
all these things are possible six forty time for traffic
and whether together we are checking out. The drive again.

Speaker 4 (01:14:50):
Radio, seven ktrh alright let's some let's revisit the question
of THE day which, i asked earlier and it had
to do. With school discipline there's a bill that's going to. Come,
in front well we think it will come in Front Of,
the texas senate which basically would strengthen supposedly discipline in our,

(01:15:13):
public school systems give teachers a little bit more control
over removing unreally students. From their classrooms and so one
Of the things i've been king on lately is the
amount of school fights there were at the several schools
yesterday where there were just a ton of school fights,
going on yesterday all sorts. OF weird behavior i don't
know if It Was. The new moon this planetary lineup

(01:15:35):
where all the planets also the planets are all lined
up directly. IN a row i don't know. What's going
on it's just just some really really strange. Behavior. Going
on yesterday We Had the liberty county had that jail riot.
Going on yesterday oh and one more thing before we
get to. Our question today This, was In Aldean The.

(01:15:57):
Aldean high school we Had A The aldean high school
student shot at, McDonald's drive through evidently By Some Other aldean.
High school students here's. The police report.

Speaker 47 (01:16:08):
He had a call for service that a person had
been shot here in the McDonald's parking lot at One
Eight FIVE west road hfd arrived and found the male unresponsive.
On the GROUND shortly thereafter hpd officers arrived and the
complaint had. Been pronounced deceased what we know at this

(01:16:31):
time is from surveillance videos from the businesses. And from
bystanders we know that the individual was with a group
of young males that had just Been Dismissed From aldean
high school and come over to. This parking lot they
approached a vehicle that was sitting in the drive through
parking lot of the McDonald's and the drive through the.

Speaker 35 (01:16:50):
McDonald's and an altercation occurred and.

Speaker 47 (01:16:55):
Someone we don't have an identity, of them yet discharge
firearm from, inside the truck striking the mail complaint.

Speaker 4 (01:17:02):
And, killing him there and he.

Speaker 47 (01:17:04):
Then drove off we were able to get, good license plates.

Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
And so we have detectives looking for the vehicle as,
we speak well and they must have found the vehicle
because they have three suspects in custody, in this shooting
which evident least, somehow school related whether students knew each
other at school or who knows what else is. Involved
IN this but i got this email from A Guy
named chris, Chris who said jimmy much of what schools

(01:17:28):
are dealing with, is criminal behavior. Not nuisance behavior we
get a little or no Support From THE. Harris county
da so part of but part of the big problem.
Is that schools public schools are compelled. To teach everybody,
they teach illegals. They teach criminals they there's a rule

(01:17:50):
that says, that you know up until, a certain age
your child must. Go to school it takes almost An
act of god to have some student discipline to the
point where they're actually expelled. FROM the school i think
we need to change, that Entire approach and i'd love
to get your. Thoughts on that what should we be doing.
In the future should we refuse? To educate criminals should

(01:18:11):
we you know what kind of rules changes we need
to get disciplined back. Into our schools just Go to THE,
iHeartRadio at ktrh put us, on your preset hit. The

Speaker 3 (01:34:28):
Your forecast is at the bottom of the HOUR on
seven forty ktrh.

Speaker 4 (01:34:35):
Fem amen. Bro seven twenty three Our Time Here in
houston's moorning new Is hight. Danger against texas ranchers. Let's
talk about That Joining Us Is Taryl. County sheriff thatius, Cleveland,
BY the way sheriff. I love your name are you
sure you're? In a Previous Life weren't a thateus cleveland
Who Was sheriff of terrell county. In, eighteen, sixty nine no, Well,
first of all jimmy thanks.

Speaker 15 (01:34:55):
For, having.

Speaker 25 (01:34:56):
Me on noah whatn't, but but oddly enough we did
have a shirt back here in nineteen eighteen that was
actually killed in, the line of duty and He was
Part of. Billy the kid's, gang, he was, arrested tried
found Guilty And, pardoned by grover cleveland and. Then became
our sheriff so so. Some, interesting history, THERE wow no
kid i. Got goosebumps, Over, that all right Well Let's.
Talk about sid, melick he's a commissioner he's a. Advising

(01:35:18):
the extream caution we have a cartel suspected explosive Device that.
Killed the texas rancher what can you fill?

Speaker 4 (01:35:23):
Us in?

Speaker 25 (01:35:24):
About, this what happened, Well first of all, i'd like,
to say you know that's the music we danced to
Down here. On the southwest border I'm A, native of carroll,
county grew up here spent A Career In, the us
border patrol and then I'd Still be, a border patrol
agent but, our SURE passed way. So i became sureff
so when we, talk about cartel, violence usually, it's contained
you know cartel against cartel, and even you know we
like to said that there's no Cartel Violence, in THE

(01:35:44):
united states but i can tell you that up in
some of these cities where the dangerous drugs and criminal
aliens are taken to that we may not see IT carried,
out on us citizens but there definitely is cartel violence
against cartels In Here in the. United states as well
but what Happened down there In brownsville on the mexicans
that there was an ied that a rancher hit the
rancher what's From Here, In THE united states and i

(01:36:05):
understand through open source media there was a couple others
that we. Were killed as well you know that that's
unique we've seen here, in the recent past just some
uh kind of What. We've seen in ukraine we're seeing
the cartels utilize. Drones on each other we're now seeing
these i eds which which were certainly to be, used
against each other not necessarily. Killing, in the, civilians so

(01:36:27):
you know as pressure, on the border Escalates Meaning you
know president trump coming in cleaning up the border and
getting it back, to a control level likely we'll see
the cartels go go, in a different direction try to get,
their THEIR products through and i believe we'll see an
escalation of of.

Speaker 4 (01:36:44):
More, Things like this Okay but but says i'm winter
saying is, is that you know in the day the case,
of this particular rancher and in any violence that so
far has Been happening against the american farmers and ranchers
in your. Part of the. World it's collateral damage it's
not intended. To be against them it's just that they
have to be caught in the middle between a couple
of cartel groups that are. Boring, against, each other yes,

(01:37:07):
sure that's thank you thank.

Speaker 25 (01:37:09):
You for, clarifying that that definitely and again it's it's
it's not, uncommon EVEN you know for us Arbitral Agents
Of Course texas department public safety or local law enforcement
to uh to be involved in in shots, being across you.
Know across the border but again there's, just to this
point nothing, that's Been you. Know targeting american citizens have

(01:37:30):
you seen the change In Cartel activity since? PRESIDENT trump,
took over i mean we know what's happened to the
border as far as fewer and fewer people trying to.
Sneak across the border, what about, cartel activity you know,
so again cartel activity we, have seen some, skirmishes if
you will. Between the different factions And That's because what
president trump has, done along, the, border you know again

(01:37:50):
first and foremost just his voice letting the rest of
the world know you're not going to come. To our
country illegally that that has has set the tone and.
Made a, huge difference, and then of course having bored
patrol agents getting back, to their, normal duties you know
patrolling between the ports of Entry supported By. The department
of defense that's that has. Tightened up the border it
will continue to. Tighten up the border and right now

(01:38:12):
the cartel's just kind of SIT back in what i
like to say and what we like to say, in the,
border patrols you know watching to see who, our next
move is so they can they can find their opportunities
to get their their drugs and.

Speaker 4 (01:38:24):
People through the border they're, very good. At adjusting aren't
they they're. Usually. A, step ahead yep unfortunately, you're. Right all,
right sir thank you best, of luck down there and
thank you. For What You Do Taryll county sheriff thoutius
cleveland joining. Us seven twenty seven time to take a
look at your money as we Check In. Again.

of parents by the way who don't want to quote unquote,
give up on their child who will keep. FORCING their

(01:48:46):
child upon. YOU i think that's wrong i agree with

Felt good, it was nineteen, sixty four he was young
and he. Was Dancing, all, the time james, brown right
seven fifty Two our time. Here in, HOUSTON'S morning news
around here i think our lack of physical activity has
a lot to do with why we don't feel particularly
good and why. Our Kids are so fat but i'd
be interested to see, what our next guest thinks because
She would like to see maha Make. An appearance here
IN texas maha Courses The Rfga Junior. Movement Make America

(01:53:52):
healthy Again state senator. Lowis, Cole, course joins us welcome
senator What Tenants Of the make america healthy again thing Could?
See instituting here in? Texas, how would, That. Work.

Speaker 36 (01:54:06):
Yeah good, Morning jimmy there you know cinnabel twenty five is,
looking At Like you, said Making america healthy, again making
texas healthy again, and just as a backdrop and you.
Set it in the intro what we're seeing over the last.
Forty years is obesity effects, twenty percent of our CHILDREN
seventy three percent. Of us adults are overweight we see.

(01:54:29):
Type one diabetes that's doubled we. Have early onset of
cancers we have. A real Chronic disease problem and so
cineville twenty five is really. Built off of four pillars
one of the things is it just says we're going
to require and enforce a five day physical education for
all of our public schools to PROMOTE physical activities. In

(01:54:51):
grades k through eight we don't require that all. The
way through eighth. Grade so that's one pillar the other
thing we're going to do is how about our doctors having.
Nutrition classes in med schools that's another big foundational. Change
that we could do and also for our children to
have a nutrition class in high school. And then again

(01:55:12):
in college and then We're Going To Develop. A texas
nutrition advisory committee and what that is going to do
is it's going to Give us some really good texas
focused nutrition advice where the food pillar is not corrupted
by people that are. Making money off of, IT and
so you know i will just tell you that all

(01:55:33):
of these different pillars looking at. How we can be
healthy the final pillar is really interesting because you and
others know that We have foods in our we have,
ingredients in our foods here chemicals in our foods here,
that no other countries Allow at. Least not the western
countries and SO a labeling part of sb twenty, five

(01:55:57):
that lets you know hey that in other countries what
you're about to buy here in other countries. Has banned
chemicals in it so that our consumers get smarter. And,
they MAKE smarter choices yeah and i really think. It's, gonna, make,
A difference.

Speaker 4 (01:56:11):
Okay well listen i'm gonna i'm gonna. Ask a FAVOR
of you see if i can get you on MY
afternoon show TODAY, on am nine fifty kprc because you're
up at the end of the. Show on our morning
show because there's a lot more details, we can go into,
here especially the physical activity because you probably remember when,
we when we. Were young we played outside we spent,
a lot. Of time outdoors you know we, we blew

(01:56:31):
off the stink as, my dad used to say and
we used to burn calories and that made up for
a lot. Of the things we're eating so we may
need to put a little bit more of an. Emphasis
On the physical ACTIVITY but i'll see if i can

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
