Speaker 8 (01:47):
And good morning everyone.
Speaker 9 (01:49):
It is now five oh two on news radio seven
forty ktr H and our top story this hour. Oh
the sounds of Chicago. Yeah, the DNC officially starting today,
but radical leftist protesters got a head start yesterday demonstrating
(02:11):
for pro abortion and anti Israel. The featured speaker tonight
is the President Joe Biden, who's been of course, been
forced out of the election by the party just four
weeks ago. Other speakers will include well the old ones,
first Lady Jill Biden, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Bill Clinton's going to be speaking at some point too.
(02:32):
I think Kamala Harris will accept the nomination on Thursday,
won't speak until then. Yesterday she campaigned in Pennsylvania, calling
Donald Trump some names.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Anybody who was about beating down other people is a coward.
Speaker 8 (02:50):
Well, they called her a drunk.
Speaker 9 (02:52):
Harris has yet to do a one on one TV
interviewer take questions from reporters. We'll have more on all
of this coming up at the bottom of the hour.
It is now five TOHO three. New CBS polling has
Harrah's leading Trump by three points nationally in CBS, of course,
and in a dead heat in several battleground states. But
(03:13):
Trump is holding strong with his likability overall among voters.
Speaker 10 (03:19):
He has actually been able to increase his favorability, which
I for a long time had a theory that everybody
has a very strong opinion about Donald Trump one worry
or the other, and it's pretty fixed. It's not going
to move, and it's actually moved to his benefit.
Speaker 9 (03:33):
Pollster Brent Buchanan there, He says when it comes to policies,
Trump is by far the better choice running made JD.
Speaker 8 (03:41):
Vance.
Speaker 9 (03:41):
The Republican isn't worried about the polls, which he calls
a sugar high.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
I feel extremely confident that we're going to be in
the right place come November.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
We can't worry about polls.
Speaker 11 (03:52):
We have to run through the finish line and encourage
everybody to get out there and vote.
Speaker 8 (03:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (03:56):
Van's also said that internal data show that Harris has
leveled off clear that Trump going to need Trump will
need every vote he can get. But there are still
some self styled conservatives Republicans. They say they are holding out.
Speaker 12 (04:13):
These never trumpers might not like Trump now, but they
can be reached.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
We need to be.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
Going out there and saying here's what we support, here's
what we're for, here's what we're again, and make sure
that that's what's part of the discussion. People respond to that.
Speaker 12 (04:25):
GOP strategist Chris Johnson told ktr H Republicans just need
to focus on highlighting the positive aspects of Trump's personality.
Speaker 6 (04:32):
He's a combatant, but he's funny if you can focus
on that, and he can do that really well, and
hopefully the debates are an opportunity to do that.
Speaker 12 (04:39):
Johnson also says Republicans should focus on winning over people
who are hesitant on Trump rather than browbeating them. Ethan
Buchanan News Radio seven forty krh.
Speaker 9 (04:48):
As for who is voting illegally in many cases, there's
a new Arizona law that forbids the state from checking
for ID and that law is being challenged by Republicans
and is now in the hands of the US Supreme Court.
Political analyst Michelle Maple says the emergency ruling, however, is
in the hands of the liberal justice Elena Kagan.
Speaker 13 (05:10):
She can ask for a responding brief from the opposting side,
or she can go ahead and kick it on up
to the Supreme Court for a full vote. However, she
doesn't have.
Speaker 10 (05:20):
To do that.
Speaker 13 (05:20):
She can rule on it yay or nay, and that
it's perfectly legal.
Speaker 8 (05:25):
Yeah, she says.
Speaker 9 (05:26):
Kagan, she believes will likely shoot down the appeal, allowing
the non ID voting to continue and that will drag
the question of voting identity way beyond this election. It
is now five five Secretary of State Anthony Blincoln in
Israel today, cease fire talks continuing between Israel and the
terrorist group Hamas.
Speaker 14 (05:46):
It is time for everyone to get to yes and
to not look for any excuses to say no.
Speaker 9 (05:53):
Hamas officially rejected a deal that was being negotiated last
week and cutter where the money and the top leadership
of Hamas actually reside. IDFOS says it has killed two
senior Hamas operatives in the West Bank city of Janine
with a drone strike.
Speaker 8 (06:09):
This weekend.
Speaker 9 (06:10):
Two reservists were killed by a roadside bomb in the
Gaza Strip and a civilian security guard killed by a
terrorist wielding a hammer in the West Bank. These are
Israeli losses in Europe. Ukraine continuing its incursion into Russia.
Speaker 15 (06:27):
Ukraine's President Zelenski said his military incursion into Russia's Cursk
region is meant to create a buffer zone. It was
the first time Zelensky had clearly stated the aim of
the operation. Zelenski said in his own words, it is
now our primary task in defensive operations. Overall to destroy
as much Russian war potential as possible.
Speaker 9 (06:50):
Jill Nato reporting there, Russians responded with a third ballistic
missile attack on the city of Kiev. It is now
five oh seven possible work stoppage that will affect our
supply chain into this country, as two of Canada's large
as railroads could actually disrupt our American supply chain this
week if they go on strike.
Speaker 8 (07:12):
It's the Canadian teamsters.
Speaker 9 (07:15):
And when you thought it was safe maybe for your
gas stove, gas powered stove. New California is proposing a
bill to require warning labels starting next year. And you know,
as California goes, so does the country. Energy expert Jason
Isaac says, they're following really the Biden Herris administration lead,
and it's hurtful.
Speaker 11 (07:36):
Making everything more expensive and an effissient. You look at
our cars, our appliances now it just continues. Electricity is
more expensive, foods more expensive, and it's because of these
really outrageous rules.
Speaker 9 (07:49):
Huck, it's all about climate change. How about those strokes
they keep rolling.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
And das belts this what detail? I feel? How you
can't pissed that?
Speaker 6 (07:59):
What?
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Goodbye? The community?
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Later side what nothing Astros yeier when US thirteen.
Speaker 9 (08:06):
It ended up being two to nothing to call in
Sports Talk seven ninety there. Now that's the Stro's taking
two out of three from the White Sox. They're going
to be hosting Boston beginning Tony coverage six on Sports
Talk seven ninety the game just after seven, and we
will join it here on KGRH. Stros start this day
with a four game lead on the Mariners in the
AO West. I'm Shervy Fryer on News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
File nineers our time here in Houston's Warning News. Southeast California, Edison,
Southern California. Edison has gone to a socialist style pricing
system depending upon household income and time of use. What
time of day you're using their electricity isn't that special.
(08:52):
So a lot of people weren't really paying much attention
to that until they started getting one thousand dollars plus
electric bills. They're going, what's going on here? Well, you're
running your air conditioning between die and hot. When is hot,
when it's hot during the heat of the day. What's
wrong with you? People? If your electric bill was sky high,
(09:12):
it wasn't just the scorching summer heat many Southern California's
and customers feeling the heat. With the tou time of
use pricing system put into a fact in twenty twenty one,
is exactly what you think it is. You pay different
races for electricity depending on the time of day you're
using it. S CE puts it it costs more to produce.
This is their excuse. It costs more to produce and
deliver electricity during different times of the day, so this
(09:34):
is supposed to provide an incentive for you to shift
your electricity use away for more expensive peak hours. The problem,
the problem you shared just said, is that it's the
heat of the day that's when you need to run
the AC. Right. They admit that rates are generally higher
during the summer weekday afternoons. If you run the AC,
work at home, do laundry during those hours, you're paying
(09:55):
more than if you wait and do those things during later,
off peak hours. So hang on, you want me to
step to ten o'clock at night so I can go
ahead and run the washer dryer, right, that's what they want.
Speaker 8 (10:06):
Or two in the morning when you first get up.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Jeez, here's the other thing, households with annual income from
twenty eight to sixty nine thousand dollars would pay twenty
dollars a month in Edison Territory, thirty four dollars a
month in SDG and E territory, in thirty dollars a
month in PG and E territory. Household, it's a it's
a floating thing depending upon how much you earn.
Speaker 9 (10:27):
How much you earn, Yeah, household, the progressive income text, Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 8 (10:31):
Now you're going to be taxed effectively, right, so we
have if you used on your income.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
So if you have an income of let's say two
hundred thousand dollars a year, you get double text. You
get taxed because you make that much money. Number one,
and because you can afford to run your electricity during
peak hours, you will also end up with a much
higher electric bill. Put those two things together, and your
electric bill is really going to go through the roof. Now,
doesn't mean you're using any more energy than anybody else is, Nope,
(10:59):
but you're being peneled. Get ready for more of that.
Speaker 8 (11:04):
No, if you if you will elect democrats.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
Exactly, that's what will happen. Yep. If you like Democrats,
get ready for more than five eleven time for traffic
and whether together.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
I tell my liberal friends.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
What's that come on?
Speaker 5 (11:15):
You know, since you want to go Democrat and then
that's fine, this is America. But they want to take
away your air conditioning in Texas, you know, so that
should help us a little bit. We're looking at I
forty five. Got something at Rayford. It's the sawdust side. Nope,
it's the Rayfort side Northbound's I forty five Woodlands. It's
a wreck. It's a right lane. So far, it's not
(11:35):
a big deal. They did shut down the ramp here.
Just be super careful northbound after Graham Parkway southbound. You're
doing a nice job, but just minding your own business.
Coming in twenty three minutes around we got to forty nine.
See I didn't forget you to forty nine.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
We look good. Tom Ball to the north, Sam good shape.
Speaker 6 (11:51):

Skymike and the Generator Supercenter, dot Com Traffic Center World.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Check it out in ten from our KTRH top tax
Defenders twenty four hour whether Center. Terry Smith is here.
And you thought the heat was oppressive last week, You
get ready for the heat this week? Right there?
Speaker 16 (12:26):
Goodness, yes, yes, at least to start off the week. Now,
we may get a little bit of rain starting Wednesday,
and I'm talking the slightest chance of rain, you know what,
But every rain drop and every cloud just helps to.
Speaker 8 (12:39):
Keep that temperature down slightly.
Speaker 16 (12:42):
But there is no rain today and tomorrow, and we
are talking upper nineties to one oh two today one
oh three tomorrow, so a lot of places in the
triple digits. And obviously the humidity is going to be
a factor. We still have heat advisories because the heat
and the sea could go as high as one twelve. Now,
once we start hitting that one thirteen mark, that's when
(13:06):
the excessive heat warnings kick in.
Speaker 8 (13:08):
So we may see that happen tomorrow. We'll keep an
eye on it.
Speaker 16 (13:12):
Then there's that twenty percent chance and that's it of
a shower thunderstore Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. But that will
keep the temperatures right around one hundred or just slightly less.
So yeah, it's going to be a hot week with
the AC's running.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
We'll blast TEPITCHU Ride now eighty one at your official
severe weather station, News Radio seven forty k TRH. It's
Houston's Morning US, brought to you by New South Windows Solutions.
Now back to Jimmy and Sherrah with the info you
need to take on the day. So the tail end
of last week, we were telling you about the retail
shopping numbers. How much, to everybody's surprise, retail shopping was
(13:52):
up as far as sales sales, at least based on dollars.
But you go behind the numbers, you find out a
couple of things about where those shopping numbers are really
coming from. More in that story coming up next. First, though,
we've got traffic and weather together as we check out
their dive once again. Here is sky Mike.

high temperature right about one o two. Same forecast for
tomorrow one oh three, Same forecast Wednesday one hundred, although
Wednesday can throw on about a twenty percent chance when
isolated thunderstorm right now eating one at your official severe
weather station, News Radio seven forty KTRH. Time to check
(15:16):
out some of our top stories on this Monday morning.
Here's Shera.
Speaker 9 (15:19):
It is now five twenty two on news radio seven
forty KTRH. Our headlines are sponsored by Morrow Mechanical Breaking. Overnight,
we had three people injured in a car crash that
involved an HPD vehicle. Waiting for more details on that.
Harris did meet secretly with radical anti Semitic mayor of Dearborn,
Michigan just last week. She's pandering for the Muslim vote.
(15:42):
Perdue has recalled more than one hundred and sixty seven
thousand pounds of frozen chicken nuggets. Some customers reporting finding
metal pieces, maybe metal wire pieces inside their frozen chicken nuggets.
Too much fiber late, Oh, latest news any that's cutting
at KGIRH dot com.
Speaker 8 (16:02):
Our next update will be at the bottom of the
hour five thirty.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I live in friends with Your forecast is at the
bottom of the hour on the seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Changed it all. Are you more windows shopping than actually
buying something? Retail sales numbers look good, but if you
start going into the number, you start realizing a couple
of different things. Lour Ingram was talking to Dave Ramsey,
the Personal Finance Guide on her show. Here's what Dave
Ramsey had to say about some of those inside numbers
(16:35):
and retail sales and what they really mean.
Speaker 18 (16:37):
Retail sales numbers that came out today, Dave, which showed
a one percent increase, which a lot of people think
that's good, it's increasing, But the top twenty percent of
households account for roughly forty five percent of overall spending,
and low and middle income households are really feeling the
brunt of high inflation. The lion's share of US consumer
spending coming from the wealthiest consumer, Dave, Given what you
(17:02):
hear on a daily basis, does that surprise you at all?
Speaker 7 (17:05):
Well, let's also understand the statistic there. It went up
one percent. It wasn't one percent in number of units sold,
it was in dollar volume. What's that means. It means
the price went up. It doesn't mean the economy is booming.
It just means the cost of the good went up
by one percent. Actually, it went up a lot more
than one percent because the number of units is down,
(17:25):
and so that's a misnomer that's misreported. It acts like
the economy is booming and retail or something. And yes,
we are seeing this disparity between the haves and the
have nots getting wider and wider and wider, which traditionally
you see as you see more and more government intervention
in the economy. When you let the free market run
and you leave it alone, this is a battle of ideas.
(17:47):
When you let the free market run and leave it alone,
it will find equilibrium and will it works to the
advantage of most everyone.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
When you do that, when you.
Speaker 7 (17:55):
Insert government in it and you say I'm going to
do price controls, I'm going to protect you from high
grocery prices, it's simply not sustainable and it causes more
problems than not. All we got to do is go
back and look at the miss of the supply chain
in COVID and see that exact thing, same thing unfolding there.
And so if you want to help the little man,
leaving a.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Market run so their bottom line is just a recap.
Retail sales were up one percent, but not in units
in dollars spent. That's due to inflation. So we're really
we're buying less even though we had people of beans
still out there spending Those were the people who were
spending the haves, we're spending. The have have nots we're
(18:36):
not spending. So the gap is widening between those who
have and those who don't. Five twenty six. Continue to
look at your money. On this Monday morning, Dans Schwartzman
is in this morning. Good morning, Jivy and share. Big
week for investors coming up. The Federal Reserve holding its
annual symposium in Jacksonville, Wyoming. FED Share Drone Powell with
will assess the economy as he is scheduled to speak
(18:57):
on Friday.
Speaker 19 (18:58):
It's also a big week for the detail sector. Some
big names will be releasing quarterly results. Home Improvement Giant
lows they will report tomorrow, while Target, Maycy's Dollar Tree
and others will be reporting the days ahead. Oil and
gas company Diversified Energy has finished its one hundred and
six million dollar acquisition of Houston based Cress and Pass
Energy's natural gas properties and facilities in eastern Texas. The
(19:20):
stocking cash deal, which was first announced last month, includes
over eight hundred proven wells. Diversified Energy says the purchase
will continue its growth in both scale and density. Let's
look at the futures right now. The SMP essentially flat,
as is the Dow. The NAZAC, though, is down one
ten to one percent. Price of oil currently hovering around
seventy five dollars and seventy cents a barrow. That's down
(19:41):
close to a dollar from the previous close. I'm Dan Schwartzman,

Speaker 9 (21:24):
I I've thirty one now on news Radio seven forty
KTRH and our top story this hour, Joe was crooked.
A report from the House Oversight Committee, released just before
four am this morning, concluded the President Joe Biden committed
impeachable acts enriching his family to the tune of twenty
seven million dollars in influence peddling, committee saying in it's
(21:46):
two hundred and ninety one page report, hunter Biden was
selling access to his father as Obama's vice president. And
that entire report, we've got it for you right there
at KTRH dot com. Also topping the news, Kamala.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Went full communist.
Speaker 22 (22:02):
You heard that shoe and full communist who wants to
destroy our contract?
Speaker 9 (22:06):
Donald Trump for rallying before thousands in Pennsylvania on Saturday,
and he blasted the Kamala Harris economic agenda that includes
a Soviet style ban on prices food prices. By the way,
it's a limiting thing on prices. Even CNN thinks that
the plan is a disaster.
Speaker 23 (22:26):
It also would be very bad for markets. We've seen
this kind of thing tried in lots of other countries before, Venezuela, Argentina,
the Soviet Union, et cetera.
Speaker 9 (22:37):
Economic reporter Catherine Rempel. Now, Harris proposes to raise the
federal minimum wage too.
Speaker 24 (22:43):
The Committee for a responsible federal budget believes a bump
in the minimum wage rate would cost as much as
two hundred billion dollars over the next ten years.
Speaker 21 (22:51):
When you look in California, which has significantly increased the
minimum wage in the state, you're seeing a massive amount
of unemployment.
Speaker 24 (22:59):
Chief National Initiatives Officer for the Texas Public Policy Foundation
Chuck Divorce says the Harris economic plan is bad all
across the board.
Speaker 21 (23:07):
Just like Kamala Harris's plan for price controls with groceries,
which is insane. That's a recipe for food shortage.
Speaker 24 (23:15):
Former President Donald Trump has called Harris a communist for
her economic suggestions. Jared Lewis News Radio seven forty KJRH.
Speaker 9 (23:23):
Homeowners investors, some of them anyway, might be doing well
right now the top of the heat, but for most
of us, the middle class debt continues to just pile up.
Speaker 25 (23:35):
If we look at what the average interest rate is
on a credit card right now, it is twenty two
point seven percent. For folks making the minimum payment on
their credit card, they will never get out of debt.
Speaker 8 (23:48):
Yeah, KGr H money man Pat shin there.
Speaker 9 (23:50):
He says that for hourly workers whose wages aren't keeping
up with inflation. Making ends meat has never been more difficult,
and that is leaving a lot of American is sitting
on the sidelines.
Speaker 26 (24:02):
High interest rates, high home prices, and a volatile stock
market are keeping new home buyers and investors out of
the market, while those who bought homes or stocks years
ago are sitting pretty National Association of Homebuilders CEO Jim
Tobin tells Fox there's still a lot of apprehension.
Speaker 27 (24:16):
When I talked to our home builders across the country,
buyers just don't feel quite comfortable about the economy. Yes,
there's good signs out there, inflations reducing, maybe there's a
federrate coming soon, but they're just not that comfortable.
Speaker 26 (24:28):
He had that many investors or would be home buyers

Well, in Chicago, the anti Israel crowd already started protesting.
The Chicago Police Department says, well, they're going to have
to use force if the numbers get out of hand.
Speaker 19 (24:49):
This superintendent gets it, and our members believe that he
will back them up if they have to use.
Speaker 9 (24:54):
Force Chicago Police Union president John Catanzera Junior on Fox
Planned Parenthood.
Speaker 8 (25:02):
Guess what.
Speaker 9 (25:02):
They're offering free abortions of the DNC with a mobile
clinic on site. They're also offering the sectomies, claiming there's
a waiting list for those here. In Texas, we're solidly
read as a state, even though the left wants all
of us to think otherwise.
Speaker 12 (25:20):
Despite this, Beto O'Rourke thinks Kamala and Walls can flip Texas.
Speaker 28 (25:24):
Anything I think is possible in this year, and with
the energy that those two are bringing to this ticket,
I think that Texas could possibly be in play.
Speaker 12 (25:31):
That's a Rourke with Jensaki on MSNBC. Political strategist Bill
Miller says this is just Democrat wishful thinking.
Speaker 29 (25:37):
The Democrats down here want to look like they're in
play because they get money from the national Democrats to
mount campaigns. If they look like they're a lost cause,
they don't get any money.
Speaker 12 (25:47):
Miller says, at the end of the day, Democrats would
be lucky to even see Texas turned pink, which isn't likely.

Now, Harris County Sheriffs are investigating a triple homicide in Cyprus.
Detectives believe the three people were first murdered and then
a fire was set.
Speaker 30 (26:08):
This is definitely a homicide, not a not accidental deaths
due to fire and smoke in elation.
Speaker 9 (26:15):
That's Detective Michael Ritchie of the Harris County Sheriff's Office
says they're hopeful that surveillance tape will lead to a suspect.
Shooters twice ambushed Air Force guards at joint based San
Antonio this weekend.
Speaker 31 (26:30):
A base spokesperson says someone or some people from a
passing car shot at members of the Security Forces Team.
Speaker 32 (26:37):
San Antonio Police.
Speaker 31 (26:38):
Say the first shooting happened at around two fifteen am.
A couple of hours later, a car stopped by the
same entrance. Shots were fired at the security personnel, who
then shot back.
Speaker 32 (26:49):
The car took off.
Speaker 31 (26:50):
There were no injuries or deaths.

You like free stuff. We all like free stuff.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Guess what our iHeartRadio app is free and free never
sounded so good.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
So buyer's remorse is when you realize that was a
real waste of money? Why did I do that? Americans
have a list. If you were to pull most Americans,
one of these ims would probably appear somewhere during the
course of their buying history on their list. If you
(27:56):
had to guess what the number one i'd is that
people spend money on and then later regret having done it,
what would you guess it is? Because it's exactly what
I thought it was. Gym membership far and away number one.
And for a lot of people, they've done it more
than once. You know where they bought a gym membership,
(28:17):
They went for a while, then they quit going, and
then five or six years later said I need to
get back into the gym, so they joined somewhere else.
You can go back into the gym and do it
all over again. Home fitness equipment, same kind of thing,
like a treadmill.
Speaker 8 (28:31):
Oh, I've been guilty of that.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
How many all have a treadmill at home? That you
have is being used as an auxiliary closet, that's where
you're hanging your clothes or whatever.
Speaker 9 (28:40):
I finally passed it off to my brother. A bike,
I mean three different huge pieces of equipment.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Yeah, mine, Mine is still upstairs. What was I think
the problem with mine being upstairs is that it's so
dog gone heavy. I'm going to have to I have
to have somebody move it. I'll have to call somebody
the most so it just sits there. Number two on
the list gore may high end kitchen gadgets such like
(29:08):
an expresso machine when you don't really drink expresso that much.
That kind of stuff you know where you where you
spend a lot of money on a piece of equipment.
You thought this will be cool and then you never
really use it. Clothing that you rarely have ever wear.
My wife has a closet full.
Speaker 8 (29:24):
Of clothes I don't fit anymore.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
For me, Well, that's part of it. But the other
part of it is where she'll see it it's on sale,
and she'll say, that's so cheap, I have to buy it.
But evidently it's not so cheap. She has to wear it,
just that she has to buy it. She has, she
has clothes that probably have never never been worn, probably
sold the price tags on them. I'm pretty sure luxury
(29:49):
vehicles came in next. I'll do this one last. You
know that that that time you thought, I want a Mercedes,
or I want to Porsche, or you want some other
high end you know, six digit you know, kind of
a kind of a vehicle, and then you realized that
once you got it, not only was it too expensive
to for the monthly payment, that you ended up spending
(30:09):
all kinds of money in the service department because every
time you went cost at least one thousand dollars. That's
what it was like when I had a Mercedes. I
had a Mercedes once. I was probably the only guy
in Detroit driving Mercedes, and every time I went in
for an oil change and routine bands, it was like
a thousand dollars.
Speaker 8 (30:24):
I thought, okay, tires, they went some luxury cars.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Yeah, because they're real heavy.
Speaker 9 (30:28):
Yeah, every time you turn around, you the tires are.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
Just a forge, exactly exactly. But those are the top
items five forty time for traffic and weather together. You
don't regret buying the ghetto house, do you, guy? Mind?
Speaker 6 (30:40):
No?
Speaker 5 (30:40):
I you know, it's actually kind of a luxury for me,
and I love it because it's so close into town.
Easy sweep drive here and just right off that hardy
toll road.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
We look good, all right.
Speaker 5 (30:50):
We've got some serious problems on the big lines, especially
forty five. First of all, let's see who is that
called it in Cliff from Manuel walking around with banana
sticker at work. You've got forty five outbound before Westmounth.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
That's your wreck. I don't know how.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
We just run into the wall and the road's completely dry,
but it happens in Houston.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
This is outbound.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
We've got a smash now from the Shepherd Curve on
the outbound side.
Speaker 4 (31:11):
Inbound.
Speaker 5 (31:12):
You are doing such a great job and not reverdicking.
You've got forty five north. I'm told they've shut down
the feeder road at Rayford outbound Houston trans Star has
got a shot at that.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
I just don't have it at the moment.
Speaker 5 (31:23):
This is outbound, and we've also blocked the exit ramp
and taken two right lanes of the main lanes right
before Rayford watch out from ninety nine and nothing good's
going on here. Tollbridge sucking just started already. We're looking
at eight extra minutes on the southbound. I'm sure Hazardous Cody,
you'll be with us shortly forty five. Your onlines are
still showing some roadwork right in front of Tangier Outlets,
(31:46):
and I don't see anything special closed, just the usual
zone of crazy now between Tiki Island and Dickinson. Coming
up from Leake City an easy thirty two minutes stroll
into downtown Terry.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
Why do they call it a blue moon?
Speaker 5 (32:00):
Am Like in the classic elite GMC traffic center, It
just looks big, huge and white to me.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
From r KTRH Generator super Center, twenty four hour whether
sentat Terry Smith is here with an explanation of the
blue moon.
Speaker 16 (32:11):
Well, there's actually two reasons for a blue moon, and
the one that's most common is when you have two
full moons in a thirty month period or inside of
a month. And we're not going to do that, and
I have to go look up the other reason. I
just learned this the other day.
Speaker 9 (32:27):
It's a seasonal moon when you have four full moons
in a season, in this case the kind of season.
Speaker 16 (32:34):
Okay, I knew there was something more than just I
looked it up this morning, do I?
Speaker 8 (32:40):
I looked it up this morning.
Speaker 16 (32:41):
Well, and for good reason, because we have the first up.
Four blue moons are not sorry, not blue moons. We
have four supermoons. Today is a supermoon, and there's another.
Speaker 8 (32:52):
One in October.
Speaker 16 (32:54):
I think there's two in October, one November. Anyhow, it's
the first of four supermoons. That's why it looks so
big in the sky right now, and it should look
white if it doesn't wor in trouble. We are looking
at a lot of sunshine once the sun comes up,
in a lot of heat.
Speaker 8 (33:10):
That's not a big surprise.
Speaker 16 (33:11):
Temperatures today upper nineties to what two tomorrow up in
nineties to what three. Hey, there's a twenty percent chance
that we're going to see some rain Wednesday, Thursday and Friday,
and that should keep our temperatures like one hundred or less,
but like less is ninety eight ninety seven, but that's
what it looks like through Friday at this point.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Depita, you're right now is eighty one at your official

Speaker 2 (33:39):
This is Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New
South Windows Solutions.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
So do we have any anti truppers or never truppers
still out there? I mean, we're kind of at a
point in time where if you're still never Trump, but
can you'd be willing to either not vote or vote
for the other side just because you're that anti Trump?
Are you really a socialist? Are you really a socialist?
Think about that five point fifty. We'll get to it
(34:05):
in just a second. Time for traffic and weather together,
this trick out the drive again. Here's coming out.
Speaker 5 (34:09):
Oh, we've got enough trouble. You've got forty five North Freeway.
That's a one vehicle smash into the wall here. I'm
looking from Shepherd, So it's west Mount Houston outbound, not
inbound southbound. We've got a smosh from West Road outbound.
They've shut down all the lanes at Rayford and Sawdust
or Rayford, actually Rayford, that's the outbound side here of
the feeder. It's not looking good right here, and then
(34:32):
let's go to the other side of forty five year
golf Freeway.
Speaker 4 (34:35):

Speaker 17 (34:37):

get you caught up on some of our top stories.
Speaker 9 (35:18):
Here shaff Good morning, five point fifty one on news
Radio seven forty KTRH. These headlines sponsored by dn M
Auto Leasing. Donald Trump has some choice words for the
economics of Kamala Harris's party and herself. US Supreme Court
has struck down a Biden Harris administration emergency request to
(35:40):
nationally enforce Biden's Title nine rewrites that allows males into
female sports bathrooms and locker rooms. A rare blue super
moon visible across the Houston sky tonight. Super happens when
the moon is within ninety percent of his closest approach
to Earth, and tonight's moon is also seasonal blue moon,

and that's rare for these two different cycles to coincide.

I live in clear Lake, Humble, reliable kt RH traffic
and weather.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Next on the ten.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
There are still some conservatives out there, at least people
who consider themselves to be Conservatives who are never Trumpers.
They just can't bring themselves to vote for Donald Trump,
so they'll either set out the election or they might
even consider voting for the other side, even though the
other side is so close to socialism you would think
it would go against every grain of a so called
conservatives ideas. Chris Johnson joins us GOP strategies. How can
(36:42):
be a never Trumper? Right now, Chris, how could you
possibly do that at this point?
Speaker 17 (36:48):
Yeah, As a owner Republican, it's kind of fascinating to
me because Donald Trump has been the one consistent figure
in conservative politics for basically our entire adult lives. If
you're in the under thirty out, especially with the college
Republicans that we're looking at, we're kind of looking at
disbelief at the folks who won't make peace with the
fact that he's the nominee. He's the guy. He defines
(37:08):
the movement. Even if you're not one hundred percent in
love with the guy, you've got to realize that if
you want to be a part of this and you
want to prevent socialism from taking over America, he's the option.
And working with them and finding a way to work
within a pro Trump GOP is really the only way forward.
Speaker 8 (37:24):
Are they truly never Trumpers?
Speaker 9 (37:25):
Are they just the establishment who are losing their grip
of control of the party and they don't want to
let go.
Speaker 17 (37:32):
You know, it's a little column, a little column, Bee.
It really depends on who you're talking to, you know,
And I talked to some of these folks, you know,
especially the never Trumpers and media or on the Hill
or whatever they are. Some of them are genuine. Some
of them just have really, you know, deeply held issues
with the president, with the former president, and I get that,
but there's a certain degree of you've got to move on,
(37:54):
you got to figure out how to how to prevent
you know, Democrats from taking over, especially looking at the
polling for Harrison Waltz right now, a lot of the
other ones. Yeah, though there's definitely a just sense of
this is my party. It's got taken away from me,
and I'm still mad about it.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
Ten years later. Well not just mad, worried, I would
say they're worried. They're worried that somebody like Trump could
actually come in and actually blow up the bureaucracy of
which they are part of.
Speaker 6 (38:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 17 (38:19):
Yeah, that's without a doubt, and I think that's really
the you know, we've talked about cutting government and reducing
the size of government for years and never really done it.
And now we're talking about, you know, President Trump's plans
to use different programs that would actually allow him to
fire like fifty thousand bureaucrats. I mean, that's that's a
(38:40):
dream in my mind. You know, somebody who grew up
as a small government conservative, that's the ideal situation. And
so watching people still claim to be small government conservatives,
watching President Trump talk about how he's going to new
co bureaucracy and still find a way to get mad
about it. I think there's a little bit of their
worried about their livelihood, and there's a little bit of
they're worried about that he's going to take away the
(39:03):
one thing that they claimed he was insufficiently conservative on,
and that's a real problem for their ego and book directions.
Speaker 9 (39:10):
How can you hope to appeal to somebody who is
so irrational that they think that socialist communism is preferable
because of their Trump derangement syndrome. I mean, I don't
think that you can appeal to the people who think
like that.
Speaker 17 (39:25):
I think they've been living in a world where because
Biden is old and Trump's gonna win anyways, they haven't
really thought about it too hard. And then when Harris
entered the race, it was kind of a blank slate.
They weren't thinking about what actual policy implications they would have,
and they gotten this crouch of yeah, I really just
don't like Trump, and how bad could it be if
Harris gets elected, and now we're seeing policies roll out
(39:45):
from the Harris Waltz foks, one of which is talking
about controlling prices for groceries. And we know exactly where
that leads. That leads to food shortages, that leads to
your neighborhood grocery store going under, that lead to the
government takeover of food and agriculture. That's terrified. And so
I think there's going to be more opportunities to make
(40:07):
people aware of how serious the threat is. How you know,
if we at a Kamala Harris, you know, price controls,
green new Deal kind of presidency, that that would be
devastating for America for the next four years. And that
might clarify. Hey, even if you're not one hundred percent
on board with Trump, at least stay quiet for the
next few months. Hold your tongue. Let's get through this
(40:30):
and let's come out the other side on the same table.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
Well, and let's tell Americas is not just going to
be the next four years if this comes to pass,
It'll be the next forty years that'll be like this. Chris,
thank you, appreciate it. Chris Johnson, GOP strategist. It's five
fifty seven.

Right now, it's eighty two at your official severe weather station,

Here's Sheriff Ryan.
Speaker 8 (42:26):
Good morning.
Speaker 9 (42:27):
It's six oh two on news Radio seven forty KTRH
and our top story this hour of the DNC officially
starting today. Protesters getting their head start yesterday shouting pro
abortion and anti Israel chance.
Speaker 8 (42:50):
Thank you, Yeah, they're loud.
Speaker 9 (42:53):
One demonstrator has already rushed the stage at a DNC
event last night featured speak tonight as President Joe Biden.
He was forced out of course of the election by
the so called Democrat Party just four weeks ago. First
Lady Jill Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
also set to speak tonight. Kamala Harris will accept the
(43:16):
nomination on Thursday, will not speak until then. Yesterday she
campaigned though in Pennsylvania, and she was calling Donald Trump
some names.
Speaker 16 (43:25):
Anybody who was about beating down other people is a coward.
Speaker 9 (43:31):
What's she talking about. She has yet to do a
one on one TV interview, refused Trump's request to do
three debates. It is now six h three. Trump's poll
numbers are staying strong despite a boost for Kamala Harris
over the last few weeks.
Speaker 24 (43:48):
And that boost to Harris is largely thanks to the
media's treatment of her presidential campaign.
Speaker 10 (43:52):
Think if we saw the media put as much effort
into NonStop positive coverage of Trump like they have Kamala,
he'd be ahead by ten.
Speaker 24 (44:01):
Brent Buchanan, president and founder of a Single Polling, says
the honeymoon for Harris will wear off eventually.
Speaker 10 (44:06):
The polling that looks very positive for Kamala is unsustainable.
There's just you don't normally see somebody's image swing that hard.
Speaker 24 (44:14):
If Buchanan believes a Trump win in November is in
order if he continues to bring up her bad economic
proposals and record at the border. Lewis News Radio seven
forty KRH.
Speaker 9 (44:24):
Yeah, but as we're hearing, there's a lot of conservatives
that call themselves conservatives who won't vote for Donald Trump
because of his personality. Trump still has a chance to
win them over, though.
Speaker 6 (44:37):
We've got to really do the open hand thing and
not let the commentariat on Twitter define.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
Where we're at and what our movement is about.
Speaker 9 (44:45):
GOP strategist Chris Johnson there, he told KGRH, if Republicans
would focus on talking about policies and records of accomplishment,
those never trumpers would have to become home to Trump
in November or else they're not really par to the
party was just seventy eight days till the election. The
Supreme Court is weighing proof of citizenship for voters. Yeah,
(45:07):
there's a law just passed in Arizona that doesn't require
id As Texas a g Keim Paxton has now joined
a coalition to fight against the Supreme Court, upholding no
need for ID.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
The case in Arizona allows voting with just a registration card.
Speaker 13 (45:26):
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal has said Arizona cannot
require proof of citizenship in a presidential election or a
mail in ballot.
Speaker 34 (45:35):
Political analyst Michelle Maples says this sparks worries over illegal
aliens voting. It now arrests with Justice Elena Keegan too,
which isn't good.
Speaker 10 (45:42):
My guess is.
Speaker 13 (45:44):
That she is going to go ahead and deny this,
and that just means that the appeal will take longer
and the decision won't come down until after the election.
Speaker 34 (45:52):
Texas and twenty three other states are asking for a
stay order to block the ruling. Andrey Parardenw's Radio seven

Speaker 9 (46:01):
Secretary of State Anthony Blincoln in Israel ceasefire talks continuing
between Israel and the terror group Hamas.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
It is time for it to get done.
Speaker 14 (46:10):
It's also time to make sure that no one takes
any steps that could derail this process.
Speaker 9 (46:18):
Hamas officially rejected the deal negotiated last week in Doha Cutter,
which is actually where all the money, the banking and
the top leadership of Hamas reside. The IDEF says it

its incursion into Russia.
Speaker 15 (46:54):
Ukraine's President Zelenski said his military incursion into Russia's Cursk
region is meant to go to create a buffer zone.
It was the first time Zelensky had clearly stated the
aim of the operation. Zelenski said in his own words,
it is now our primary task in defensive operations overall
to destroy as much Russian war potential as possible.
Speaker 9 (47:18):
Jill Nata reporting there, the Russians responded with their third

in Texas, but California lawmakers want to require warning labels

The virtue signaling from this administration is proving very expensive

Houston's morning news continues.
Speaker 3 (48:52):
With Jimmy Arrett and Sheriff Fryer, but the sense of
smell is something that evidently that could be a death predictor,
or the loss of the sense of smell. To be
more accurate about it, they did a study and they
found that people who had lost their sense of smell
(49:12):
generally died within five years. And they tested them with
some fairly basic things that would be fairly easy for
most people to identify. For example, one of them was
a rose. Smell of a rose, a very distinct flower smell.
The other one was leather. I'm trying to find the
(49:34):
other two fish? Is that fresh fish or not so fresh?
Speaker 8 (49:44):
Smell different too?
Speaker 3 (49:45):
Yeah, yeah, they do so. It was rose, leather, fish, orange,
and pepper peppermint. Yeah, those were the four. They found
that the number of people who could correctly or incorrectly
identify the odor, they came up a little score for
them if you couldn't identify any of them, if you
could identify three out of four or two out of four,
(50:08):
whatever the case may be. They found that those that
could not identify any of the smells of those of
those that participated in it, four hundred and thirty of
the original participants, about twelve and a half percent had
died by the time they did a second test. Of
those thirty nine percent who had failed the first small
smell test died before the second, compared to nineteen percent
(50:31):
of those who had moderate smell loss in the first test,
than just ten percent of those with a healthy sense
of smell. So they determined based on that that you
were far more likely to die within five years if
you had lost your sense of smell. Kind of the
canary in the coal mine. If you will, you.
Speaker 9 (50:48):
Kind of lose. I would thank your joy of eating.
If you've lost a sense of smell. I mean, aroma
has so much to do.
Speaker 3 (50:55):
With taste, I would think.
Speaker 8 (50:56):
I mean, just think about that.
Speaker 3 (50:57):
Yeah, it's hard to bet. How's your sense smells? It's
still good.
Speaker 8 (51:00):
It always been good, all right.
Speaker 3 (51:02):
If you want to test it, just blowl my finger.
We can do a test right now, you man. You
lightly time for traffic and weather together. Smell.
Speaker 5 (51:14):
I've never had much of a sense of smell. And
also I've I've had friends that have said, you know,
you really don't have any taste buds. I don't know
what this means, but everything tastes good to me. There's
only like two things in the world. I won't eat
all right, let's go to a forty five. I got
trouble on the forty five's Wow, they sure cleared the

Speaker 8 (52:51):
Well, I get it, trust me, I get it.
Speaker 16 (52:53):
And I don't see anything significant in terms of changes
in the temperature or the humidity or the rain for
that matter.
Speaker 8 (53:04):
No rain today or tomorrow.
Speaker 16 (53:05):
I really don't think that we're going to see much
of an impact from the sea breeze.
Speaker 36 (53:08):
Now.
Speaker 16 (53:09):
We may get a twenty percent chance of a shower

around may help to bring us that slight chance of rain.
Temperatures today and tomorrow in the upper nineties to around

So take Jimmy's advice, don't go outside, stay inside if

you can't, at least if it's cool inside today.
Speaker 8 (53:33):
I suspect we'll see that again tomorrow.
Speaker 16 (53:36):
Now, once we get the clouds in the rain, the
temperatures will be closer to one hundred as opposed to
being over one hundred.
Speaker 8 (53:42):
There may be a few places around one oh one.
Speaker 16 (53:44):
But the cool down is insignificant. It's still hot. It's

to Kamala.
Speaker 3 (56:44):
Harris's name is Brent Buchanan, President and founder of travel snob,
Polster and Messaging Strategists. He's got his fingers and a
lot of things. Uh so, Brett, what is it you
think that makes Trump so resilient?
Speaker 10 (56:57):
Well, first off, Trump's pretty defined. I mean, go walk
down the street and find somebody who doesn't have a
strong opinion one way or the other of Donald Trump.
And one thing that you're looking for in an election
is resiliency and strength within your own base, because elections
are really no longer about persuasion. They're about persuasion to
turn out. And Donald Trump really has his finger on
(57:21):
the pulse of what people who are willing to vote
for him want to hear, which is why, for example,
you may see him say, well, the economy is not
that big of a deal, but we've got to talk
about these rising prices. And that's because higher educated folks
care about the economy, lower educated folks care about the
cost of living, and lower educated folks who now the
(57:41):
base of the Republican Party. So this is why you've
seen as you've seen Kamala's image, her favorability change, and
her ballot share change. That Trump has maintained a strong
ballot shared in spite of that, it's not like he's dropped.
Speaker 9 (57:54):
Well, this whole thing about la la la la lah
in the propaganda and all sing kum by ah, you know,
coming out of the Democrats as opposed to what Americans
are really living. I mean, ultimately, how long can you
pull the wool over everybody's eyes.
Speaker 10 (58:11):
Well, I spent most of my life in Alabama. I
learned a wonderful saying early on in my political career,
and that is cock of the walk today, Southern destrict tomorrow.
So yeah, when somebody goes up fast, it means they
can come down just as rapidly. You don't want to
have this kind of rapid assent in your numbers because
it means they're unsustainable.
Speaker 3 (58:31):
Yeah, I wonder too. You know, we're just out kind
of finding out some of her policies. And on Friday
there was a policy drop. Of course they waited for
Friday for that for a policy drop to talk about
price price fixing, price gouging. She's talking about fixing prices
in the grocery stores. I'm sure there's a segment, the
socialist segment of the population that sounds great too, But
I would think there's a rather significant amount of obviously conservatives, moderates,
(58:55):
and maybe conservative Democrats who would be scared to death
by that kind of a message.
Speaker 10 (59:00):
Well, it sounds pretty darn communist if you ask me,
and I think that if you look at the betting
markets on political whins after she said that, she dropped
significantly in the future betting markets, and I think it's
because her very first policy that comes out is essentially.
Speaker 9 (59:19):
Communism and raising minimum wage federally, which really ultimately affects
everybody all across America. It's not just federal jobs, it's
independent contractors who do jobs for federal I mean big corporations.
It's a mess.
Speaker 10 (59:36):
Well, I was in the Miami Airport on Sunday and
there was a wheelchair pushing itself through the airport as
a test, and my kids said, what's the person going
to do whose job was to push that wheelchair? I said, well,
when you raise the minimum wage, people come up with
ways to get rid of workers. And I think when
the more instances we see this of you know, McDonald's
(59:59):
or Green stations instead of McDonald's team members. Is that
people are going to start to realize that this eats
up the lower class worse than anybody else.
Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
Well, they're certainly the ones who are suffering through all
the inflation problems. Brent, Thank you, Brent Buchanan, President and
founder of travel Snob. He's a bolster in strategy or
messaging strategist. They should say six, keep looking at your money.
Dan Schwartzman is here, Good morning, Jimmy and Scherff.

Bankred's saying that parents are feeling the effects of inflation
as they do back to school shopping. Nearly a third

And call it impeachable offenses.
Speaker 38 (01:03:12):
Their investigation found that President Biden engaged in impeachable conduct
and said he abused his office and quote defrauded the
United States to enrich his family. Republicans revealed that since
twenty fourteen, the Biden family and its associates received more
than twenty seven million dollars from foreign individuals and entities.
They also found that while Biden was serving as Vice president,
(01:03:33):
the Biden family got more than eight million dollars in
loans from Democratic benefactors.
Speaker 8 (01:03:39):
Des Brooks Singmuann of Fox.
Speaker 9 (01:03:41):
As for Biden's Democrat replacement and hurry economic plans.
Speaker 22 (01:03:46):
Comrade Kamala announced that she wants to institute socialist price controls.
You so that never worked before, never ever worked?
Speaker 8 (01:03:54):
Yep.
Speaker 9 (01:03:54):
Donald Trump rallying in Pennsylvania. He had thousands attending on Saturday.
He blasts at the Kamala Harris economic agenda that includes
handouts and a Soviet style she calls it a ban
on price gouging, but it's government control of grocery prices
that's even being slammed on CNN.
Speaker 39 (01:04:15):
They tried that in Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea.
Speaker 8 (01:04:18):
The USSR, No, that's not going to work.
Speaker 39 (01:04:21):
It's impossible to understand how a corporation would set pricing
based on gouging.
Speaker 11 (01:04:26):
What does that even mean?
Speaker 9 (01:04:28):
Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary. There now, Harris is also
proposed to raise the minimum wage, along with her other
policies that apparently are aimed at young voters.
Speaker 21 (01:04:40):
They're relying on a certain degree of economic of literacy
from people. It's like, oh, well, you know, that seems nice.
You know, people shouldn't have to live on the minimum wage.
Of course, what they don't understand is that that generally
applies to a lot of very young people who are
just starting out.
Speaker 9 (01:04:55):
That's Chuck Devora, the Texas Public Policy Foundation. He says
harris Is egnomic ideas are insane and would lead to
all sorts of shortages, running out policies that would just
raise prices to making life worse for most Americans. Wages
have not cut up with inflation. It's almost it's over
(01:05:16):
nineteen percent in the four years that Biden has been
in office in Harris and now we've got more and
more Americans having to live on their credit cards with
high interest rates.
Speaker 25 (01:05:28):
Credit card and auto loan delinquencies, these are ones that
are ninety days or more behind, are at their highest
level in ten years.
Speaker 9 (01:05:37):
Yeah, ktr H money man Pat schen He says, if
you're only making a minimum payment on your credit card
every month, that interest is just going to snowball.
Speaker 8 (01:05:47):
You will never get out of debt.
Speaker 9 (01:05:48):
Americans who locked in their home ownership already, or they
already have their stocks or even their bank accounts now
earning interest a few years ago, they're doing better. They're
doing well now. But for those who are trying to
get into the home buying market, it's another story. National
Association of Home Builders CEO Jim Tobin tells Fox many buyers,
(01:06:11):
potential buyers just don't trust the current economy.
Speaker 8 (01:06:15):
Will they be able to pay off these houses.
Speaker 27 (01:06:18):
I think there's a lot of home buyers there to say, hey,
wait a minute, let me see how November shapes out,
because I really want to know what the next administration's
going to do, whether it's a Harris or Trump administration
to make the economy better and make me feel more
secure about making that large home purchase.
Speaker 9 (01:06:32):
Yeah, Tobin says, mortgage interest straits have come down slightly
right now, but he doesn't expect them to drop a
low six percent until twenty twenty six.
Speaker 8 (01:06:41):
Is now six thirty six.
Speaker 9 (01:06:43):
Well, we're looking at the windy city, where are lots
of winds blowing from people's mouths. Where the Democrat Convention
starts today.
Speaker 39 (01:06:53):
Well, last month getting rid of Joe Biden and anointing
Kamala Harris was chaotic, So expect more of the same
andgo that is.
Speaker 40 (01:07:00):
What the Democrat Party is. They're a party at chaos.
They're kind of reaping what they've sowd.

is pink and you know, and that's going to be

Speaker 3 (01:09:29):
A mobile abortion clinic. Oh and just so we provide
equal rights. If you don't want the free abortion, you
can have your old man get a free vastectomy. They're
doing that too, but those too.
Speaker 9 (01:09:42):
Now you can have not just your old man, you
can have someone who's now identifying as a female.
Speaker 8 (01:09:48):
Make sure there won't be any accident.
Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
There you go, But there is no real there's no
equity between those two different processes. One of them involves
removing a life that is underway, the other one is
just preventing pregnancy. To me, the vast sectmy second, The
vast sectomy is a form of birth control. An abortion
(01:10:11):
is not birth control. An abortion is you got pregnant
and you've made a decision you're going to end the pregnancy.
Those are two different things.
Speaker 9 (01:10:18):
Well, it's a party that supports eradicating humanity.
Speaker 3 (01:10:21):
Sure, sure, So here's what they posted, planned parent who
posted here we come Chicago. Our mobile health clinic will
be in the west Loop August nineteen through twenty, providing
free vast sectomies and medication. Abortion ec will also be
available for free without an appointment. So of course they're
(01:10:44):
there to make a statement. It's not like you're going
to have a rush of people showing up to take
advantage of this. It's that they're there to make a
statement about abortion rights, which seems to be the one
issue that is working for them at least as relates
to women. Six forty. Time for traffic and weather together

You've got one two lanes blockchair.
Speaker 5 (01:11:13):
Everybody's fine, but going through the squeeze you'll hit some
brakes now after North Maine on the eastbound side westbound,
the usual squeeze stuff. We've got southside here, Oh, causeway,
gab's the causeway northbound vehicle fire fire departments on scene.
Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
That would make sense.
Speaker 5 (01:11:28):
Northbound they've done a washedbound on the three lanes here,
got this one lane getting by so far. Let me
check your double check that backup coming off the island

they're talking about government control over what your food is.

The average grocery store markup or profit margin is one

a living, is what that is. Anyway, we don't seem

It has actually been able to increase his favorability, which
I for a long time have had a theory that
everybody has a very strong opinion about Donald Trump one
way or the other, and it's pretty fixed. It's not
going to move, and it's actually moved to his benefit.
Speaker 9 (01:22:57):
Pollster Brim Buchanan says, when it comes down to policy,
Trump is by far the better choice. It's clear he's
going to need every vote he can get, at least
the way the polls are now, and not knowing what's
going to happen, with the ballot counting, there is still
some self styled Republicans, they call themselves conservatives holding out.
Speaker 12 (01:23:18):
These never trumpers might not like Trump now, but they

the world.
Speaker 8 (01:27:30):
Is to purchase or to maintain?
Speaker 3 (01:27:32):
To purchase, Well, we'll do both, so I can tell
you how much you cost to maintain your average large dog.
But this is the most expensive dog that you could buy.
A Tibetan mastiff.
Speaker 8 (01:27:46):
Oh. I knew it had to be a big.
Speaker 3 (01:27:48):
Dog recently sold for two million dollars. That was in China.
A dog was sold at a premium pet fair. It
was thirty one interest all and weighed two hundred pounds,
So I wouldn't think it's a very inexpensive dog to maintain.
I don't know what the lifespan is of a Tibetan master,

but generally the bigger the dogs are, the shorter the
life span is.

Well, you know, the evil ones have these big dogs.
Speaker 8 (01:28:22):
They're masteris. I should have guessed that.
Speaker 3 (01:28:24):
Okay, well, there you go. That explains why the Chinese
like big, large dogs. If you yourself own a large dog,
it costs at least one five hundred and seventy dollars
a year. We need to put food and healthcare and
all that stuff in about fifteen hundred and seventy dollars
a year in order to be able to maintain that dog,
which means that if the dog lives an average of
(01:28:44):
twelve years, that cost you twenty two thousand dollars over
the dog's twelve year lifespan.
Speaker 9 (01:28:50):
Between you and your dogs and cats, you spend I
don't even want. It depends on the owner and what
they're willing to feed these animals.
Speaker 3 (01:28:58):
And if you're wondering what the going right is or
you know, pure bread dogs these days, English bulldogs two
hundred and fifty bucks. French bulldog forty two to fifty.
Tibetan mastiff, your typical Tibetan mastiff that you would find
in the United States four thousand, little bit a little
bit better priced chow chow four thousand, Portuguese water dog
(01:29:18):
thirty five hundred, Greater Swiss mountain dog thirty four to fifty.
Irish wolf found thirty two to fifty in Newfoundland thirty
two to fifty. Those are the most expensive breeds for
my money. That one and fifty dollars adoption fee for
your typical mutt that comes out of the spa is
the best money could ever spend because that dog is

all gathered there in Chicago, joining us talk about doctor
Robin Armstrong with the r n C Texas. I guess
the President Biden will be speaking tonight. Here's his chance
to do his big farewell speech, his opportunity.
Speaker 40 (01:34:34):
You know, poor poor guys got got shoved out of
office and not going to run this fall, and so
it's really it's going to be interesting to see the
tone that he takes. You know, he's got a he's
got a little bit of cognitive decline, so he might
be a little angry, you know, heading out the door.
But I they're gonna he's gonna be well scripted. This
whole convintion is gonna be well scripted, as they all are.
Speaker 3 (01:34:56):
But but I certainly.
Speaker 40 (01:34:57):
Believe that he this party has to work to lie
to the American people cover up everything that they actually believe.
Speaker 3 (01:35:06):
So that's going to be what's.
Speaker 40 (01:35:07):
Going to be on tap, and everything's going to be
very scripted. But it'd be nice to see if old
Joe's able to keep himself on script given his anger
for being shoved down.
Speaker 9 (01:35:17):
It sounds like they're making this a graduation party for
Joe Biden so they can all praise him and talk
about how wonderful he is. And then they got Hillary
Clinton coming on and you can do the nasty.
Speaker 40 (01:35:28):
Right right absolutely, and that you know, I'll tell you
the Democrat Party is just it's a you know, it's questionable.
Everything that they've done here, it's never been done in
the history of the party before. If people don't realize
that never been done in any either party's history. And
it's just shameful what they've done. How they replaced someone
who got fourteen million votes in the primary, it's just shameful.
Speaker 3 (01:35:50):
But they had to do it because he was going
to lose.
Speaker 40 (01:35:53):
You know, President Hilp's already defeated one candidate. He'll defeat
Kamala in November to to complete the cycle. And I
think it's going to be important because you know, she's
not going to tell us what she believes. The Trump
campaign's going to have to get out there strong this
week campaign in these battleground states that they're going to
be doing, and they're going to have to make sure
(01:36:14):
that we define who she is. And that's going to
take place certainly during the convention and soon afterwards.
Speaker 3 (01:36:19):
Well, she did a pretty good job of defining who
she is on Friday when she came out against price
gouging and talked about fixing prices in grocery stores. That
had every businessman in America had to be terrified of
what she was saying. Absolutely, big mistake that he made there.
Speaker 40 (01:36:38):
But you know she when you're when you're forced to
go out and talk about policy issues, which as a
presidential candidate you are, Kamala Harris fails at that every time.
She just doesn't do a good job, even if she's
on the teleparunker because her natural instinct is.
Speaker 3 (01:36:52):
To go hard left liberal communists.
Speaker 40 (01:36:55):
That's what she believes, and so that's that's the natural
flow of her thought process, and that's where she's gonna
go every time. She's going to be far far to
the left of Barack Obama, far far to the left
of Bill Clinton far far to the left of even
Bill Biden, because that's.
Speaker 3 (01:37:10):
Where her natural inclinations are.
Speaker 40 (01:37:12):
She's a San Francisco Liberal who wants to promote those
policies nationally.
Speaker 8 (01:37:17):
Ken the best thing.
Speaker 9 (01:37:18):
I understand that Donald Trump's going to be out almost
every day campaigning while this convention is going on. But
is it a better time just to kind of let
the Democratic Party eat its own this we stand back
and watch them self destruct?
Speaker 40 (01:37:33):
You know, I think if that happened, I think these
events are so choreographed that that's.
Speaker 3 (01:37:38):
Probably not gonna happen.
Speaker 40 (01:37:40):
I believe what will happen is they will have protesters,
you know, tens of thousands of protesters outside, because you know,
the party is a party of anarchy, and so when
you're a party of anarchy and you go to bed
with those folks and they're gonna come, they're invited to
the party, they're gonna come and protest. So that's gonna
take things outside.
Speaker 3 (01:37:58):
But what's happening.
Speaker 40 (01:37:59):
Inside going to be very well choreographed. And I think
that we have to have a message, an alternative message,
a message of truth outside of what's going on this week.
I think we have continue to do that all right, sir,
always good to talk to you. Thank you, Doctor Robin
Armstrong from the RNC seven twenty six, It is time
to take a look at your money. Portney's off today
(01:38:20):
and Schwartzman is in for her. Good morning, Jimmy and share.
Speaker 19 (01:38:23):
The volume of goods going through the nation's busiest port
complex continues to be a near record highs. The ports
of Los Angeles and Long Beach, which account for a
roughly a third of all container imports of the US,
had their third best month in July, just shy by
the way of an all time record. Meanwhile, port stretching

Speaker 9 (01:40:53):
Everyone is now seven thirty two on News Radio seven

boh is a report from the house overside committee, released
just before four am this morning, concluded the President Joe
Biden did commit impeachable acts enriching his family to the
tune of twenty seven million dollars by influence peddling while
(01:41:16):
he was VP.
Speaker 44 (01:41:19):
They took twenty seven million dollars from foreign individuals and
foreign entities twenty seven million, and then they said eight
point five million were in loans. Yet there's no documentation
of these loans, and none of the loans, of.
Speaker 8 (01:41:35):
Course, were ever repaid.
Speaker 9 (01:41:37):
Yeah, but the DOJ has covered it up. Former Florida

Kamalowentz full communist, you heard that shoe and full communist.
Speaker 3 (01:41:55):
You want to destroy our country.
Speaker 9 (01:41:57):
It's pretty plain speaking. There Donald Trump rallying in Pennsylvania,
there were thousands attending on Saturday. He blasted the Kamala
Harris economic agenda that includes a Soviet style price fixing
scheme that even CNN thinks leads to disaster.
Speaker 23 (01:42:16):
It also would be very bad for markets. We've seen
this kind of thing tried in lots of other countries before. Venezuela, Argentina,
the Soviet Union, et cetera.
Speaker 9 (01:42:27):
Economic reporter Catherine Rampel. Harris also proposing to raise the
federal minimum wage.
Speaker 24 (01:42:34):
The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget believes a bump
in the minimum wage rate would cost as much as
two hundred billion dollars over the next ten years.
Speaker 21 (01:42:42):
When you look in California, which has significantly increased the
minimum wage in the state, you're seeing a massive amount
of unemployment.
Speaker 24 (01:42:49):
Chief National Initiatives Officer for the Texas Public Policy Foundation
Chuck Divorce says the Harris economic plan is bad all
across the board.
Speaker 21 (01:42:57):
Just like Kamala Harris's plan for price controls with groceries,
which is insane. That's a recipe for food shortages.
Speaker 24 (01:43:06):
Former President Donald Trump has called Harris a communist for
her economic suggestions. Jared Lewis News Radio seven forty KHRH.

Meantime, the debt keeps piling up for the middle class.
Speaker 25 (01:43:18):

their credit card, they will never get out of debt.
Speaker 9 (01:43:31):

Speaker 27 (01:43:53):
But I thought to our home builders across the country,
buyers just don't feel quite comfortable about the economy. Yes,
there's good signs out there inflations reducing, maybe there's a
Sederate coming soon, but they're just not that comfortable.

of votes by his own party leadership four weeks ago.
Speaker 40 (01:44:33):
I imagine he's going to have some feelings of anxiety
because of how he was treated, and you know it,
Maybe it'll be interesting to watch to see if some
of that comes out.

Speaker 29 (01:45:23):
The Democrats down here want to look like they're in

mount campaigns. If they look like they're a lost cause,
they don't get any money.

Miller says, at the end of the day, Democrats would

So called incident minor. But you know the Secret Service
is under a lot of scrutiny these days. Evidently a
Secret Service agent female persuasion on the Trump detail, left
her post to breastfeed her child during an event.
Speaker 9 (01:47:34):
First brought her child to work, yes, and a couple
of family members too. Uh huh, then left to breastfeed
without alerting her supervisor what she was doing.
Speaker 3 (01:47:44):
Yeah, this gets the Greg Guttfeld treatment.
Speaker 4 (01:47:47):
Five words.
Speaker 35 (01:47:48):
Another sucky Secret Service story one two cat. I can't
even believe this is true, but the Secret Service is
investigating an incident where a female agent allegedly left her
posts at a recent Trump campaign event in North Carolina
to breastfeed. Sources say the woman was feeding her child
inside a room reserved for official business with other family members.
(01:48:12):
And the Secret Service has released a statement saying all
employees of the US Secret Service are held to the
highest standards.
Speaker 36 (01:48:18):
While there was no impact to the North Carolina event,
the specifics of this incident are being examined.
Speaker 4 (01:48:25):
It's kind of interesting.
Speaker 3 (01:48:26):
They're not denying it.
Speaker 36 (01:48:27):
They denied the Cooch story, but they're not They're saying
like it had no impact, meaning it happened. Who brings

Speaker 8 (01:49:12):
Heads we roll up that Chipotle.
Speaker 45 (01:49:13):
I want whoever's in charge of this to take this
from me.
Speaker 26 (01:49:16):
The Chipotle test.
Speaker 45 (01:49:17):
Yes, when you're investigating and examining the behavior of our
Secret Service agents, say, would you do.
Speaker 4 (01:49:24):
A one star Yelp review if you saw this.
Speaker 3 (01:49:27):
At your local Chipotle.
Speaker 45 (01:49:29):
If the answers is yes, then they're fired.
Speaker 3 (01:49:31):
There you go. You know the whole I understand the
whole breastfeeding thing. But that's why they have pumps, right,
so that you can pump out the breast milk and
you know, be able to deliver it with a bottle
or have a family member delivered with a bottle when
you have to be at work. It's not supposed to
interfere with your work, but especially for the sacred service

you're supposed to be guarding the guy for goodness sake.
Seven forty one. Time for traffic and whether together, we're
checking out the drive again. Here's sky Mike Southwest Freeway northbound.
Some trouble with the artsy bridges here. This one is

Speaker 4 (01:50:06):
Here is a full emergency response. That's all breaks.
Speaker 5 (01:50:09):
We'll connect it like your kneebone to Hillcroft and that's
twenty two extra minutes on the northbound inbound Katie Freeway.
Finally cleared that stall. It was sitting there a long
time at Park ten. A lot of breaks from Grand
Parkway advisors. You lose about eight minutes on the inbound Katie.
Is well worth your ride this morning. West Park getting
tough addicts clothing the back door. Now loose about eight
minutes here to eighty eight. We've done a fantastic job
(01:50:32):
of not running into each other. I've got breaks at
Shadow Creek, RNCH Parkway. You've got six to ten north
and we still have the problem at Irvington. Moved that
out the way. Oh clear, it all right, that's westbound.
We're still a little loopy if the squeeze forty five
not bad. Stay of the course there North freeway breaks

Those the two stories of the day. I guess that's right.

Today's the first of four super moons, and it's also

It it won't look blue though.
Speaker 16 (01:51:40):

about at this point.
Speaker 9 (01:52:40):
Or as Trump just said over the weekend, communism. Yeah,
it's done, full blown community.
Speaker 3 (01:52:45):
Speaking of President Trump, he reacted strongly to what Kamala
Harris was suggesting as far as fixing prices in grocery stores,
and we also get some economic reaction to it as well.
Coming up next, first though, traffic and weather together as
we check out the drive once again with sky Mike.
Speaker 5 (01:52:59):
Let's go around the Horn and second Southwest Freeway Montrose.
Those little artsy bridges that's areka and a center line.
Hopefully everybody's okay. Connect that back up to West Park
Westpark Tollway. You'll hit the brakes at Attics cloding. You're
doing a nice job of not colliding. Katie Freeway lose

KTRH time saving traffic connect on the ten, you know,
because I don't walk out of there for less than
a couple hundred bucks, and I rarely buy more than
a few bags worth of items.
Speaker 3 (01:54:40):
You know, some of it is stupid expensive. I get that,
But the reality is that the markup, generally speaking, on average,
at any given supermarket a grocery store is one point
six percent. Does that sound like price gouting? No? So
how are you going to fix it? If you want
prices come down? Well, if your socialist like Kamala Harris,
(01:55:02):
you think that you can just order prices to come down.
Speaker 9 (01:55:04):
Yeah, and has a bunch of bureaucrats in Washington, d C.
Telling somebody in a grocery store in Texas what they
can charge for lettuce.
Speaker 3 (01:55:12):
Exactly, and you know what happens. You end up with
the Soviet style supermarket with nothing on the shelves. President
Trump reminding us about that, as if we needed to
be reminded, and some reaction from Steve Hassett he's an economist.
Speaker 22 (01:55:23):
Now, Kamala is reportedly proposing communist price controls. She wants
price controls, and if they worked, I'd go.
Speaker 3 (01:55:30):
Along with it too. But they don't work.
Speaker 22 (01:55:31):
They actually have the exact opposite impact and effect, but
it leads to food shortages, rationing, hunger dramatically more inflation.
Their Inflation Reduction Act, by the way, was a disaster.
Speaker 3 (01:55:45):
It's what caused the inflation.
Speaker 22 (01:55:46):
Their Inflation Reduction Act was a con job. They actually
admitted that it wasn't really for inflation that they did it.
Speaker 46 (01:55:55):
Harris's proposal is modeled after proposal by Elizabeth Warren that's
so open ended that the government could basically set the price,
could set the price for everything. And so if you
think that this is just something that's going to take
the fire left people to make sure that they're ready
to vote for her, that no, this.
Speaker 3 (01:56:11):
Is a serious proposal.
Speaker 46 (01:56:12):
In fact, while she's out there talking about this price gouging,
she's also bragging about the price setting that the government
has done in the prescription drug space. And my colleague
Thomas Phillipson wrote article the Wall Street Journal a few
days ago that showed that because of the price fixing
of the Biden Harris administration, then millions of seniors are
(01:56:33):
going to lose their drug benefits. You can go through
that article and see about how that works. But she's
bragging about having fixed other prices, and she's copying a
bill that wants to.
Speaker 3 (01:56:43):
Fix every price you know, we oftentimes wonder why are
prices on something so high like toilet paper? Yeah, which
is a better part. Thirty dollars for a small case
of toilet paper. How did they get that crazy? Well,
it all start during the pandemic, right when when we
had a supply chain.
Speaker 9 (01:57:01):
Well, the horting checked in and you know, if you
went and you depleted the shells and the supply chain
was messed up, they couldn't replace it.
Speaker 3 (01:57:08):
There exactly, that drives the price up, but it's remained
stubbornly high. The part of the big problem right now
is have your priced lumber? Have you priced anything having
to do with trees? I mean paper is made basically
from trees. When you take a look at things like
toilet paper, all you have to do is take a
look at the price of lumber to get an idea
