Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, running away, he's not a chief proposition for Democrats.
Seven twenty three is that time here in Houston's warning
news because, among other things, the House back in twenty
twenty three passed five hundred dollars per day fines under
House rules if if you skip out on the quorum,
if you hit the hell out of dodges. We were

(00:20):
just saying, Kyle Sinclair joins us Bear County gop CO chair.
I don't know, it's five hundred dollars a day. I
guess that's not enough to keep them from trying to
pull this off. Yeah, I don't think so either.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Morning.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
By the way, I appreciate you having on the show. Yeah,
I don't think so. I mean what I'm hearing is
it's a million dollars a month and they're lining up
some big backers to support this radical idea.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Look, they tried doing it in twenty one. It didn't work.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
They tried doing it in twenty three, it didn't work,
and it's not going to work again.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Here.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
This is the problem with the Democratic Party and why
they continue to lose, is that the favor is in
that President Trump wants to help America. He won the
president the Senate and the House, and seen the same
thing in the state of Texas with Governor Abbott, Lieutenant
Governor Patrick and turning General Ken Paxton.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
This is a conservative state and getting stronger.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
All right, So we know it won't work because the
governor will just call another special session when they when
they get back into town. You can only only run
away for so long. Do they have in your mind?
I'm sure not in your mind, But do you do
you think they have any legitimate complaint about the plan
that's been drawn up by the Republicans. We're hearing that

(01:29):
the way the lines are drawn up to this new plan,
there'd probably be five new Republican representatives in the US
House as a result of these new lines.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Correct the ones that actually just put out yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
You're picking an additional seat up in Dallas, one in
San Antonio, one in Houston, and then.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
And two across the border.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
So yeah, you know, I think there's always gonna be
some legal fighting of any map that comes out, especially
if they're losing seats. Here's where you know when they're
Texas and the Republicans are doing it right when you
get Governor news out of California complaining about it. When
you get people like Lazy Castro out of San Antonio

(02:07):
getting off his ass and actually saying something. So when
you start in Jasmine Crockett out of Houston, right, when
you get those type of people actually voice and concern
over something, you know you're right on the target and
doing the right thing.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Okay, So let's assume that everybody gets together this thing.
This thing ultimately passes, it'll go under federal scrutiny, certainly.
Do you think it will stand up to that?

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah? I think these maps are going to pass.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
I mean, look, every state has the power to redistrict,
and especially under their constitution, the elections are held in
the state level.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
So Texas has every right to do that.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
And if the Democratic Party doesn't like it, they need
to win elections, and so they've got to be able
to stand up to these elections and win. And unfortunately
they have not won. And Texas under President Trump got
even more conservative and so they lost even more seats.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
And so I do think you know they're going to fight.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
You're going to see the wailing and the nashing and
the planning in the lawsuits.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
By the end of the day, this is going to
hold up in court.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
All right, sir, thanks for your time this morning. Kyle
Sinclair absolutely you bet. Barrett County gop CO chair is
seven twenty six
