Speaker 1 (00:00):
Six, twenty three hour time. Here in Houston's borning new Is,
Kyle Sinclair joins us Bear County GOP vice chair to
talk about Democrats fleeing the party. Do we do we
have a field? Kyle? I mean, first of all, are
we seeing it here in Texas? Do you think?
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (00:14):
I mean I do think we're seeing in Texas. I
think the reality is Look. I mean at Charlie Kirk's
ceremony yesterday MSNBC and Jasmine Crockett from Texas went on
and said that we are at war, and the commentators
on there also talked about picking up arms.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
That retoric of doubling.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Down on these issues is what's causing by droves people
leaving the Democratic Party. And at a national level, they
are getting close to single digit approval ratings. So absolutely
seeing in Texas and that's why Trump won it by
thirteen percent in twenty twenty four.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Where are they going to? Where are these disenfranchised Democrats
going to? Are they coming to the Republican Party? Are
they just becoming independent?
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah? I mean my opinion, I see little to both. Right.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
You know, President Trump did a massive job on moving
Democrats that you know, voted for him independence that voted
for him to get that thirteen percent, and he's going
to have about two years ish to you.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Know, continue that momentum.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
And I think with the Charlie Kirk and this turning point,
there's a lot of people that are seeing what the
Democratic Party.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Is doing and saying and acting, and.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
So yeah, I do see that, and I think as
Republicans and Conservatives, we've got to open them up with
open armor. We've got to take them in with open
arms and be the party of acceptance without compromise.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Okay, Well that I'm curious to explore that a little
bit further because here's what I see as a potential
downside to welcoming former liberals into the Republican Party is
that they have an influence on making the Republican Party
more moderate. I feel like we have plenty of rhinos
here in Texas. Do we need more?
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah? Absolutely not. The quick answer to that is not.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
And I don't think liberalism or people that are going
the extreme of the extreme leftists, liberals and socialism, they're
not going to change. It doesn't matter what is said.
They're the one that are driving the force on the
Democratic Party. They've got no voice, they've got no leadership,
so they turn to the extreme left. So I don't
see extreme left liberalism and socialists coming over to the party.
(02:19):
I mean, it's unfortunate this country is set up on
two parties being able to move this country ahead.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
And unfortunately you really only have one.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Party, the Republican Party, which is the party of common
sense and conservative values that put America first. So you know,
we're going to struggle for a little bit in this country,
and it's not great to have just one party either.
So we need the counterbalance to your point of getting
rhinos out and making sure that we hold them accountable.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
And maybe we get a new third party. What do
you think?
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah, I mean, I mean, I don't know, you know,
I think we've got to fix what's going on. The
one hundred and eighteen section session of US Congress was
the least effective in US history history since the United
States was created. The one hundred and eighth in session
passed the least amount of bills, and so we have
a major divide up at the federal level, and you've
(03:09):
seen it boil downs because all politics are local. So
we've got to fix some of these common issues where
that is that's a very tough one. I mean, some
of this year are so polarizing that you can't compromise
on on values of mutilating children, of allowing boys in sports,
of you know, I can go down the list of
all this stuff.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
You can't compromise on that stuff.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
So if they can't get their act together, they will
destroy that party and they will cease to exist in
this country.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
All right, Kyle, thank you, appreciate your insight. That's bart
