Speaker 1 (00:00):
Five fifty two is our time here in Houston's Morning News.
It's not the money, it's the amount that everything costs.
And we're not you know, we've kind of put the
brakes on inflation, at least runaway inflation. But we know
we're not going back unless we have a major recession.
We're not going back on prices. So people still feel
like things are unaffordable. And I think the president's smart
(00:20):
to get out in front of this, and I'm sure
the Vice president will too joining us to talk about
is Kyle Sinclair, Texas twenty one congressional candidate Kyle I'm
also thinking that, you know, coining the phrase make America
affordable again would be a smart thing to do. I mean,
I can see the rally signs for that one. I
think that puts the onus back on the Biden administration
(00:40):
where it belongs.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yeah, one hundred percent. I mean this is look, I mean,
Biden destroyed the economy and did it in a record
setting time, right, And so you know, President Trump I
think has been very smart and doing that. I think
he's done a phenomenal job and to date, to you know,
in twelve months, to be able to address a lot
of issues. Look, we just went through one of the
(01:03):
cheapest Thanksgiving in years, gas prices at record lower prices
that we haven't seen in many, many years too. But
I love that they're getting in front of this and
making this about this, especially before the twenty twenty six
mid term elections.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
You think the Democrats obviously have been trying to pend
it on the power, the party in power, and it
seems to have been, at least in some of the
elections that we've seen so far, seems to have been
at least moderately effective. Why is it that it's so
easy to convince people that it's it's the fault of
whoever's in power right now, whatever's happening in their lives.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Well, I think people need to understand too, the economy
and how it works, right. I mean, the the price
of food takes time to be able to drop, right.
I remember when eight prices and that was the big
hot topic was the price of eggs and Secretary or
act Secretary Rawlins went to work and they dropped the
prices of egg and they figured that out. So some
(01:58):
of these issues are major, major issues. And let's not
forget what President Trump has also been doing internationally too, right,
So it is about the economy. There are people that
are still talking about it. It is a hot topic.
We all see and fill certain things, and I completely understand.
And so you know, I appreciate the reciprocal tariff and
(02:18):
what's going on with that internationally and helping drive down prices.
I'm watching also what the Fed Reserve. They just dropped
the interest rate again this month, so you are seeing
stuff move. I think it is taking some time. It
is dealing with the largest economy in the world, and
I think he's doing a phenomenal job. But the everyday
(02:40):
American needs to see it quicker and see things that
have immediate impact. And I think that's what President Trump
is on the road with Vice President jd. Vance And
I look forward to myself as a campaign and a candidate,
and when I'm on the campaign also talking about this.
So we've got to get behind this and talk about
it as a Republican party.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Hice, sir, thank you for your time. Areciated those Kyle Sinclair,
Texas twenty one congressional candidate
