Speaker 1 (00:00):
No No, No, No, No King's weekend. You can't be
a king of wishful thinking. It's five fifty three here
on Houston's Morning News. It's a Trump protest. In case
you're unaware of what the No Kings protest is all about,
It's going on in major cities around the United States
this Weekend's even going on in the Woodlands about a
mile and a half from my house. Luke Visias joins
US political consultant. I don't know what kind of turnout

(00:22):
they're expecting. Are these are these paid protesters, By the way,
Luke there, it's what we call it astro turfed.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Will there be some people that show up organically, yes,
but this is the reality. You've got a couple of
billionaires like George Soros and others who paid for the
last round of No King's protests and felt like if they,
you know, tried to spark put put a fire together,
that that flames would take up. They didn't put gasoline
on an existing fire. They just tried to start an
invent everything from scratch. And they definitely were not nearly

(00:53):
as big as the Tea Party and other organic.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Movements right right, And I'm thinking too I'm guessing the
reason why they're holding one of the protests in the
woodlands as they want to say, see see even in
Montgomery read reliably read Montgomery County, even in suburbia, you've
got people protesting Donald Trump.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Correct. I think they're going to target all of those
areas they want to show momentum James Tallerico's US Senate
campaign announcement, the No Kings protests. There's also an aspect
where I do think that they're trying to I'm not
going to be surprised if legacy media outlets talk about
the peaceful liberal protests that we see, because they've they're

(01:33):
on the heels of the Attorney General in Virginia, who
they have got a Democrat candidate who's literally saying he's
not joking he wants to kill Republican elected officials and
their families. And the Charlie Kirk assassination. So I think
they're looking for maybe some media coverage, hoping that legacy
media covers them as peaceful protesters.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Well, and of course legacy media will be more than
happy to oblige one. They probably Yeah, so what comes
does the government shut down? Not being solved at this point.
Do you think it has anything to do with them
waiting on the Noble Kings protest?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Uh? They could also just Democrats don't know what their
plan is, what exactly they want. I also think it's
funny because you know, when Republicans have shut down the government,
I mean, it's wall to wall coverage. She can't turn
the news on without basically seeing a soup kitchen filled
with some CIA fed who evidently needed to get it
because he couldn't didn't know if his paycheck was going

(02:31):
to come up. I mean they they literally it's full
time propaganda. So people get a lot more antsy. And
because the Democrats are the ones that are shut it down,
the media is not talking about it nearly as much,
and so the average Americans not as antsy about the shutdown,
And there just doesn't seem to be I was talking
to a congressman just yesterday who said he was talking
to all of his fellow Republicans and they were talking

(02:53):
about how few calls they're getting from Republicans or Democrats
in their district demanding that the government own open back up.
So the fact that there's not a lot of coverage
seems to not be building that natural pressure that sometimes
builds well.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
And there's not gonna be a lot of pressure from
Republicans because generally speaking, we are self reliant and we
don't really need the government for most things doing.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
That's right, that's right, And the left aren't calling and
screaming because they'd actually be calling and screaming at their
own people.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
True enough, Luke, thank you, as always appreciated it. Look
to see us. He's a political consultant. It's five point
