Speaker 1 (00:00):
Showing us as Michael Maser, host of Safe Money and
Income radio program that runs here in KTRH Saturdays between
five and six pm. We'll give his phone number out
before we're done. By the way, So, Michael, how many
late bloomers do you see out there? People who are
in their sixties who are just kind of waking up
and going Hang on a second, I guess maybe I
(00:20):
should get ready for retirement.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Yeah. I mean every day we see people coming into
the office that you know they're scared. There's not really
a lot of education leading up to retirement, and so
people are thrown off by all the risk associated with retirement.
We have inflation risk, order, a return risk, with draw
rate risk, and long term care risk, just to mention
(00:46):
a few, so it can be overwhelming for our folks
going into retirement.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
I guess for most people the key here is to
just get started, even if you're starting late. Just get started.
What's the first thing you advise people to do who
are just again getting started late, but they need to
get started.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
People need to know what their expenses are going to
be in retirement, So look and have a budget for
your expenses, and then we're gonna build upon that, we
need to also have an offset of income to take
care of those expenses.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
So it's very simple. Let's have a plan. Let's know
what our expenses are, and let's devise a plan for
retirement income purposes to offset those expenses on a guaranteed
lifetime basis. Okay, so we divide just that plan. All right.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
So for those who would like to get ahold of
you again, you have a safe money and income radio
program here in katrh five to six on Saturdays. You
can tune them in and take a listen. What's the
phone number of people need to call to reach you?
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yes, call me direct. Yeah, they they can call me direct.
It's eight three two two seven eight three one nine five. Again,
that's eight three two two seven eight three one nine five.
