used to I don't speak as smoothlyas I used to don the debate as
well as I used to Joe Bidenon riding. What I do now?
Yeah, I know how to tellthe truth HMM debate debacle, despite the
calls from mainstream media for him topull out of the race, New York
Times reporting that he is staying inpolitical reports the Biden family calling for Joe
(02:14):
to shake up his campaign's staff instead, Texas Congressman Hip Roy filing a resolution
insisting VP Kamala Harris use the twentyfifth Amendment to declare the president incompetent.
I felt very sorry for the man, to be honest with you. But
it's not just us here in Americawho is saying this. The whole world
is saying this. Former HUD SecretaryBen Carson on Newsmax. But the Philadelphia
(02:37):
Inquirer called for Trump to get outof the race over what it called was
a quote bombastic litany of lies. They labeled Trump a threat to democracy.
But Democrats are doing everything they canto keep Robert F. Kennedy Junior off
the ballot. They preach about afair America, but keeping him off the
debate stage suggests otherwise. They areprehenting people from hearing what our junior has
(02:59):
to say, and the fear thathe will be taking the votes away from
President Biden. Ashley Thomas of Freedom'sFund USA says people need to hear every
candidate speak, and as far asreplacing Biden with RFK, that's unlikely.
I think that in some of thepolicy positions he can appeal to both more
of your quote moderate Democrat. Atthe same time, the Democrat Party does
not like him at all. Shesays. The Dems will try to find

(03:46):
we have hurricane force winds extending aboutout about thirty miles from the center.
Tropical storm force winds extend out. We're more than one hundred miles from the

Concerned about the Damn spillway. Theysay it was impacted by all the heavy

Damn failure. They need to assessand repair. First Responders in Brazoria County

endangered, no injuries. It's nowfive oh five. Doing another end run
on the courts, the Biden administrationis putting student loan repayments for three million
(04:57):
borrowers on the hold again. Thosethree million selected part of the White House
Save Plan. A pair of federaljudges in Kansas in Missouri temporarily blocked Biden's
illegal loan forgiveness last week. TheUS Supreme Court has already ruled that the
president has no constitutional authority to quoteforgive debt. The federal budget deficit projected
to grow by more than two trilliondollars this year under this administration, and
(05:21):
we could be headed for economic disaster. So these storm clouds have to be
understood and recognized and dealt with. And that's why it's so important for the
policymakers that actually care to do somethingabout it. Former White House Budget Director
Russ Bought on Fox Business another majorcorporation announcing adios, John Deere telling hundreds

Walt Disney's company, at least inthe corporate offices. That's Andrea Widberg with
American Thinker, who says Disney isnot the only one in twenty twenty one.
I believe it was Corporate America hiredninety four percent minority and only six

good at your job, don't worry. Thing that will happen is AI.
(06:50):
If you are bad at your job, okay, AI will make it so
that you might not have to dothat job, if that could be considered
elimination. But the fact of thatit is that if you're great at what
you do, you're going you're notgoing to lose your job to AI.

Sorry, got the top ten listhere for the places the states that pay
(07:39):
the most for homeer's insurance in theUnited States on average. Of course,
everybody's individual coverage. This individual Idon't know how much of this is based
on actual risk versus home values forexample. Yeah, you know, so
if you're looking at a state likefor example, Colorado made the top ten,
I'm not thinking it's because of superhigh risk, but I'm thinking there's
(08:01):
probably some really pricey real estate inColorado. There is now. Yeah,
when you when you have to ensurea multi million dollar home, then you
know you have to have enough insuranceto be able to do the replacement cost
time. Colorado came in number ten. The average angle of premium two thousand,
three hundred and twenty two dollars ayear, Number nine Louisiana. I
think that's more weather related than itis real estate valu Rina. Yeah,
(08:22):
after Katrina, no kidding, andand you know, even post there's been
several bad storms since Katrina that havebeen what was it? Was it two
years ago? I want to sayit was two years ago where it seemed
like every storm missed us and wentjust to the east. Yeah, and
Katrina wasn't really the hurricane. Itwas a failure of infrastructure exactly afterwards,
(08:43):
you know. Average premium premium partonme in Louisiana two thousand, four hundred
and fifty two dollars, Number eighton the list Kentucky, interestingly enough,
where Fulton, Kentucky, is themost expensive premium in that state two thousand,
five hundred and sixty five dollars onaverage. Missouri came in number seven.
(09:03):
Average premium two thousand, five hundredand seventy nine. Mississippi number six,
annual premium twenty six hundred and twentyfour, Arkansas number five. Texas
came in fourth. Our average premiumhere two thousand, nine hundred and nineteen
dollars, So it's almost three thousanddollars a year to insure home on average
here in Texas. Kansas came innumber three. Tornadoes. Yeah, maybe
(09:26):
the Texas has tornadoes. Sure,we get tornadoes and hurricanes. Number two
was Nebraska, interestingly enough, threethousand, five hundred and ten dollars average
premium. Number one was Oklahoma. That interesting that, you know, the
sort of the breadbelt states had thehighest homeowners insurance premium. So I wonder
why that is. California did makethe top ten list, Florida did make
(09:52):
the top ten list. That seemslittle strange, doesn't it. I think
percentage of population in cities probably hassomething to do with that. Could be.
Must be some sort of statistical thinggoing on with that five ten time
for traffic and weather together. No, the hurricane, the hurricane, the
insurance costs on the Louisiana coast. That goes way back before Katrina, guys,
I'm sure yeah, Camille nineteen sixtynine, which I had a huge
(10:16):
impact on the shrimp in industry. And you know, for a while there
was just one boat that could getaround and it was called the Jinny.
Look it up you all right,Forest run, Forest run. Hello,
we've got Nord Sam. All right, they're picking it up. Let me
double check here. There's not muchgoing on, or I wouldn't have time
to goof but North Sam, let'scheck Vickory JFK JFK west Haldy, Westfield.
(10:37):
Okay, we're gonna call that open. I can't directly see the connector
ramps all right from fifty nine andalso from forty five, but that's out
of it. Looks like the mainlanes are back open from all that crazy
weekend construction. If you want toplay it safe, I'd still jump on
Will Clayton Parkway or the Hardy AirportConnector if you want to go that way.
By the way, I'm missing myworkwife, Christina Cruz this morning,
(11:00):
which means I don't have the producerthat I normally would have, and I'm
doing the FM stations a little doubleduty, so I need a little extra
help from my folks out there.Seven one three two one two tips Skymike
on the Generator Supercenter dot Com trafficCenter from our Kati rh top tax Defenders
twenty four hour Weather Center. Timeto check in with Terry Smith on this
Monday morning. I guess, beforewe get to the local forecast, what
(11:22):
can you tell us about Burrel orBeryl, however you pronounce that name.
It's a weird name. It's weird. It is a reused name too.
Why keep reusing an old weird name? Well, they just keep reusing the
names until they retire. Them,so I guess that's a good sign.
I have a feeling though this onecould get retired because it is a major
hurricane. Let's see, it weekeneda little bit overnight. Let's Saturday morning
(11:45):
we had a tropical storm Barrel.Uh Sunday morning we had a Category four
hurricane Barrel, and this morning wehave a Category three hurricane one hundred and
twenty miles an hour. It's weekenvery slightly, but likely to re intensify.
It's making its way through the LeewardIslands and into the Caribbean, and
(12:07):
it's going to stay a major hurricaneit looks like for the next twenty four
to thirty six hours somewhere in thattime period, but it likely will have
devastating effects on the islands down whereit's moving through today and then move into
the Caribbean. We can just slightlyhead toward the Yucatan. We're going to
keep an eye on it because it'sgoing to be around for a while,
(12:30):
so we'll keep you posted closer tohome. There's not a whole lot to
say, not much change heat advisorytoday. The heat in decks one oh
five to one ten, temperatures midupper eighties, only a twenty percent chance
of getting wet today and twenty tothirty percent chance of rain all week long,
So there's not a lot of rain, but the heat and humidity just
won't quit. Tepajare right now stilleighty one in your official severe weather station.

(17:18):
What did Democrats do well? Youwould think they were going to have some
sort of an intervention to get JoeBiden to step down, but at least
according to The New York Times, that's not working. They want to stay
in the race. Why Why arethey're so desperate to stay in the race.
You would think you would think thatafter that embarrassment, they'd be ready
to get out. Well, what'sgoing to happen? What are they going
(17:40):
to do? Now? Here's thevek Ramaswami asking the same question. The
first step was having this debate inthe first place. This is the earliest
ever televised presidential debate in US history, and the first one that occurred before
the nominating convention of either party. That was not an accident. The Democratic
camps, supposedly Biden's camp, butit was really the Democratic machine argued for
(18:02):
this and negotiated for this for areason. The reality is they deserve to
be honest with the American people now, who is actually running the country?
Who is in charge of the UnitedStates of America? After last night's debate,
I don't think there's a single personat home who saw that who believes
it's Joe Biden, because it's not. But we deserve a government that tells
us the truth. And I thinkone of the concerning questions for right now,
not even the election I'm talking abouttoday, the next few months leading
(18:26):
up to the election, is whois actually leading the United States of America.
The Democrats and the White House havenot offered a clear answer to that
question. And if they tell usthat's Joe Biden, we now know that
as a lie, and Americans,I think, demand the truth because our
security determines and depends on it.They have an identity politics problem. They
have a Kamala Harris problem. Ifthere's one person who's less popular than Joe
(18:47):
Biden, it is actually none otherthan Kamala Harris, the person waiting if
something happened to Joe Biden to takethe presidency. So the reality is they
have to pick somebody who solves thatwoman of color label. That's what they've
adopted. Were not mine that Ithink have shackled their range of choices.
I think Michelle Obama checks that box. I think many people who check even
one of those boxes of being diverse. I think they're tethered to that in
(19:10):
a way that makes it very difficultfor them to put up another person that
otherwise would fail their own identity politicspurity tests. It's just but the reality
is plenty of other people want tostep up into the void. The reality
is they have been non transparent. They have lied. They've lied about the
fact that Joe Biden is running thecountry, and I think that dishonesty persists
no matter who they put up.Fuddy Stewart, you were at the debate.
(19:30):
When I was at the NBC debatelast fall, one of the things
I said was the Democrats needed tobe honest, that it was not going
to be Joe Biden as the nominee. It was laughed off by the left
as a conspiracy theory. Then, well, it's become reality today and we
have to confront that truth. Okay, well, right now it looks like
they're stuck with him unless something elsehappens, and who know who, something
(19:51):
else very well could happen to changeeverything again. Five twenty six is our
time. Time to take a lookat your money. On the Monday morning,

(26:57):
increased over the last two years.President of Texas lone Star Leith Dyke says
insurance premiums have been the worst inthe last few years. We're seeing insurance

that Biden doesn't care about the bordercrisis. The need for detention isn't a
priority of this administration. Then thisis an example of them not really paying
attention to the numbers, not tryingto solve the problem. Former Acting ICE
(27:45):
Director Ron Vittello told KGRH, thiswill only encourage more illegal immigration. People
know that if they make it pastthe border, even if they are someone
that might need to be held, they're likely to be released. They're likely

dam is being watched for quote apotential failure, Yet there doesn't seem to
be a whole lot of activity goingon. Did try to prevent that from
(28:49):
happening? Or do do repairs orwhatever it is? It's kind of like
a well, we'll see what happens. Really We're going to see what hap
happens. See, even if thedam breaks, well, first of all,
dam break means a lot of watergets rushing out of Lake Livingston,
which sounds like a flooding issue, but it's a little bit more practical than
(29:10):
that. You see, three millionpeople in harris coont of get their drinking
water essentially from the Trinity River andLake Livingston Dam. So what happens when
the water supply for three million peoplegoes away? How do you make up
for that? Where's that? Where'sthe water going to come from? How
are you gonna get more water inthe in the heat of summer? We
have to reopen those wheels and startpumping again, and then we'll have subsidence
(29:33):
again. Uh huh? Is itjust me or does it? We aren't
even getting any details on exactly whatcondition the dam's in. The only thing
we've been told is that evidently theydid an inspection after all the recent flooding
and all that, and they saythey have to watch. They have to
watch. This means they will continueto inspect, right, It's so it's

guess before we get to today, though, councilor let's talk about what the
Supreme Court said, fraudy about theobstruction charges against January sixth prisoners and against
President Trump. They kind of narrowlyfocused in what obstruction is, didn't they,
Yes, they did, and theygot it right. As they said,
(36:28):
it was pretty obvious that it's SectionC two which says otherwise, and
the others have tried to read intothat rules that would gobble up the entirety
of the other rule. So itdoesn't just apply to just showing up,
but when they're having a vote orso forth, you have to be destroying
or otherwise damaging documents, evidence, other things, which is traditionally what we
(36:52):
think of when we talk about obstruction, and we have entire statutory schemes to
lay that out, and some moretrying to read far too much into the
word otherwise. Okay, it wasa single j six defendant who brought the
case. So now what three hundredor so may have their cases affected because
that's how broadly they were applying thisthing. Well, that's true. It
(37:15):
will impact all of those folks whohad this type of charge brought against them.
But as you can as the defendantin that particular case, for example,
he had plenty of other charges broughtagainst him too, So this will
only affect the charge is brought forobstruction under I think it's fifteen twelve C
two. Okay, not today,we're going to get the presidential immunity ruling.
(37:38):
What do you predict what is goingto happen. Do you think the
Supreme Court is going to fund onthis one, send it back to a
lower quarter, or do you thinkwe'll actually have a ruling. It's a
hard one for me to say, because I could see this going in various
different ways. I think we're goingto find out that the Court's going to
say there is some immunity. Ithink it's taking some time because I think
it's a very hard opinion to write. Court likes to as they've said in
(38:00):
the recent cases, they like tohave rules that make sense that they can
be applied by the lower courts.Uh, there's not a bunch of factors
and weighing of things, and towrite this opinion and come up with with
exactly where the limits are is difficult. Thus I could imagine them sending it
back down with not that much guidanceand telling the lower courts, Okay,
(38:21):
you guys start figuring this out,and we'll do this the normal way.
The lower courts will will craft things, and they'll go up to the pellet
courts and I'll review and over timewe'll get this right. I just don't
know that, given the importance obviouslyof this case, that that they aren't
going to go ahead and try tocraft exactly what they think. But in
this case, the lower court itis the DC Court, is it not?
(38:42):
And the judge that justice checking,I mean, who just absolutely despises
Donald Trump. Sure, no,no, that that that's fair. And
if you were the lower court, you would you tell the Sucreme Court if
they didn't give you give you muchguidance. Thanks. I'm the judge who
said there was no immunity. Nowyou're telling me I got it wrong,
(39:02):
but not telling me what I'm supposedto do. Uh So that probably isn't
the best result. We probably doneed a Supreme Court to have give some
definite clarity to win immunity applies andwhen it does not, okay, and
we'll find out sometime this morning.Thank you, sir, appreciated. As

then. But it always kind ofsurprises me that we don't build our homes

(47:22):
I mean, we do require theright kind of windows to go in now,
but most of the houses that areconstructed in the Galveston area, for
example, in Freeport, they're allbasically what I would call stick construction,
you know, lumber construction. Theydon't really have any special anything to withstand
the winds. I mean, Iknow they can only do so much,
(47:44):
especially with hurricane force winds. Butthey say now that one of the best
building materials to use, and itsounds weird, but they're claiming that one
of the best things you can doto help hurricane proof a home is to
use polystyrene foam in whatever it isthat you've got. For example, let's
say you're building for Florida. Forexample, they build a lot of homes
(48:07):
out of cinder block, concrete block, fill the in between with polystyrene foam,
and you're building a house that isalmost hurricane proof. I mean,
nothing's gonna help with the Cat five, but you're building something that's capable of
withstanding winds. Yeah, you havethe high high winds, storm surge and
(48:28):
flooding, which habitually has been what'saffected Gallamus. That's what that's what we
concentrate on. Yes, yeah,it's pretty tough to put a cinder block
building up on stilts. That wouldbe part of the problem. Yeah,
that would be a huge part ofthe problem. Storm surge, yeah,
you know, yeah, there's onlyso much you can get it. Yeah,
(48:50):
No, you're right. Florida isa different problem. They're they're more
concerned about the winds usually than theyare worried about the storm surge. Although
they get both. They do getboth. Six that that seems strange.
This something is Simple's foam Foam canmake you hurricane proof, can help make
your home hurricane proof. Well,it floats, help it floats so you

in the Northeast, joining us totalk about as car Ingham, Texas Alliance
of Energy Producers. President Biden's beendoing this a lot, letting a strategic
oil reserve go getting down to kindof dangerous levels there. That's for an
(54:46):
emergency. The same thing with agasoline in the Northeast. That was after
Hurricane Sandy. They set that stuffaside so that they would not run out
of gasoline the next time they geta big superstorm moved through, and it's
just a matter of time before theydo. So are we leaving ourselves in
the lurch here? For our veryvery temporary dropping gasoline prices. Well,
(55:07):
potentially, they do have some lawon their side. When this thing was
established about ten years ago or so, twenty fourteen in response to the hurricane
up there. Sometime after that, some piece of legislation was duly passed by
(55:27):
Congress signed by the President that said, we're essentially going to close that thing
down, having to do with thecost of storing gasoline as a refined product,
which is more difficult and expensive tostore than crude oil, for example.
So there is a piece of legislationthat says we're going to shut down,
sell the barrels or the gallons outof gasoline out of that reserve.
(55:55):
So you know, they are mandatedby law to do this. When they
do it, well, I meanmaybe they're doing it to score some political
points and help some folks out,But in their defense, which they don't
often have a defense when it comesto oil and gas and energy matters,
they are required by law to dothis within a certain time frame. The
(56:20):
greater, the greater travesty was theselling down of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve,
which they were certainly not mandated todo, and that was just to score
a big mess of che political pointsback in sure up the base for the
well, as a matter of fact, it did. Yeah, it worked.
(56:44):
Let me ask you this, amillion barrels of gasoline? Is that
right? It's barrels or is itgallons? How does this work when you
take yeah, it's not gallons,it's barrels. And how long will that
last? And how much will itbring prices down? I expect the price
(57:07):
impact will be generally minimal. Imean that might last a few weeks.
So do they have more that theycan release? Again? How much do
they have? No? That wasthis million barrels that they're selling, will
(57:28):
close that reserve, which again they'remandated to do by law. Their hands
are cleaner on this than they wereon the release of these strategic patrol reserve
barrels. Their hands were utterly uncleanon that. That was purely political.
So their hands are cleaner on thisbecause there is legislation that mandates that they
(57:49):
shut this down and close that reserve. Well, that legislation was put in
place. Sometimes, well, thereis a shelf life, and again it's
it's vastly more expensive to store gasolineas or refine product that is so crude
oil so do you see this oilreserve more? Do you see this well
the well they said they were goingto start filling it backing up, and
(58:13):
they really haven't begun to do that. No, you know, to do
it, they'd have to buy abig, massive crude oil at eighty dollars
a barrel, and that doesn't reallyhelp the tax paying crude oil purchasing public
very much. To do that,we'll just add it to the national debt.
What the heck dropping the bucket? You're right about that, sir.

and right now, I thought thisstory was interesting. I thought it
passed this long, especially if youall own a older home that is big,
a big house, you know, three thousand and thirty five hundred and
(01:05:59):
fourth thousand plus square feet. Buildersaren't making those right now, especially four
thousand square feet plus. They aren'tmaking them because they can't make them affordable
because between the interest rates being highand building costs being high, they can't
find buyers for bigger homes. Sowhat they're doing in order to be able
(01:06:19):
to keep the price in a certainrange is they're building smaller homes. They're
putting nice stuff in the homes, but they're smaller houses. So this is
going to be interesting to see whathappens with this. The median sales price
for a new home fell actually byzeropoint nine percent from a year ago.
It's actually down almost one percent, according to the Commerce Department. By contrast,
(01:06:42):
the median sales price for an existinghome jump five point eight percent.
So the builders are building smaller homesso they can make them more affordable,
which means that the price of anolder home that's bigger has gone up more
than it probably normally or should goup. But if that's what you want
(01:07:03):
is a bigger house, the onlyway to get it is to buy an
existing home because they aren't building thebigger houses. Huh, that's interesting.
So they're actually actually creating more expensivemarket for used homes by going that particular
(01:07:23):
route. So it's cheaper to buya new home than it is to buy
an existing home right now. Well, subdivisions, yeah, okay, mm
hmm. How any location, location, location, always that's always the case
with the real estate. Sure,but it's but if you're let's say you're
a family of five, you gotthree kids, and you wanted to buy
(01:07:44):
a brand new home, you're eitherare going to figure out how to live
in a home that's like maybe undertwo thousand square feet with smaller rooms if
you want a new home, oryou're gonna have to go find a home
that's for sale that is an olderhome that has the bigger rooms that you're
looking for because they're not building thebigger houses right now. Maybe they'll change.
Everything changes, so I'm sure it'scyclical that will probably change too.

It was just thirty five percent predebate. Look where it's dropped to

You might say, okay, youknow that's low, but a lot of

there are no easy answers. Youknow, I went back and looked at

all trail Donald Trump. So theidea here that we're somehow going to get

If Joe Biden takes on Donald Trump, he's trailing. If there's another
Democrat who runs against Donald Trump, they tour trailing. Perhaps you want to

the fact is, any Democrat whoentered the race right now, at least

among those that are being suggested bya bunch of folks, they would all
enter the race at this particular pointas an underdog to former President Donald Trump.

Tom Dupree is a former US Assistantattorney, the district attorney. Here
he is commenting on what he thinksthe Supreme Court is going to rule.
(01:25:17):
I think we will see the immunitydecision on Monday morning. The Supreme Court,
as you know, typically back endsits most important decisions. These are
the complicated cases. These are casesthat often produce dissenting opinions, which of
course takes more time to draft andto release. But I think Monday is
the day that we've all been waitingfor. And I do think the Supreme
Court is going to recognize some formof presidential immunity. I'm not sure they're
(01:25:42):
going to go one hundred percent ofthe distance that Trump wants them to go,
but I think they are going toreverse the lower court, and I
think they will recognize meaningful presidential immunity. I mean, if you look at
the DC case alone, I thinkwhatever the Supreme Court decides is going to
take some further homework by the districtjudge I think she is going to have
to parse the allegations in Jack Smith'sindictment and figure out which ones which allegations
(01:26:05):
are subject to whatever immunity the SupremeCourt recognizes and which aren't. That's not
something that can be done overnight. And when you think about how long it's
going to take for her to dothat, and then how long it would
take the parties to actually prepare fora trial, I don't see any way
that this case gets tried before theelection. Okay, there's one prediction anyway.

Ten Commandments bill after Louis Anna Pass'slaw that would post the Ten Commandments in
Texas schools. Join us to talkabout it is, Steve told Texas State
Representative Steve, let me play Devil'sadvocate if you will for just a second.
Here there are people on the leftwho are saying, you know that
(01:31:20):
the people on the right talk allthe time about students being indoctrinated. Is
posting the Ten Commandments in our schoolsan attempt to indoctrinate kids. That's ridiculous.
Jimmy, you're advertising earlier about ourAmerican story. Well, our American
store is built on virtue, andthe foundation that virtue comes from the Ten
(01:31:42):
Commandments. The truth is that stealingis bad. The truth is that line
is bad. Murder's bad, adulteryis bad. Right, but we have
a left. The left now wantsbasically to say absolute truth, like saying
that stealing our line is bad. They want to replace that and just say,
hey, whatever you want your truthto be, And so they throw
out the scientific method. They throwout absolute truths like this, which leads
(01:32:05):
to a stable, virtuous society. So movement afoot not the first time in
the Texas legislature. Other states havedone this, but it doesn't seem to
pass in Texas. So what makesyou think it might this time? It
passed through the Senate. Phil Kingcarried the bill in the Texas Senate,
(01:32:28):
it moved over to the House.Canny Noble picked it up. She carried
it and Dade feeling killed at Sharago figure Dave again huh yeah, yeah,
yeah. His fingerprints around a lotof dead bills. So what makes
you think it'll pass this time?Well, I'm hoping that there's going to
be some pressure from folks from thestate of Texas. Eighty to ninety percent
(01:32:54):
of Republicans think it's a good thing. Fifty five of Independence think it's a
good thing. Roughly forty forty twopercent of Democrats even think it's a good
things. It has pretty strong supportacross the state. Okay, what do
you think accomplishes, if anything, that we're going to remind our children that
there are some absolute truths and thatwe can't build up a future in the
(01:33:15):
state of Texas or America that's that'svoid of virtue. How are you going
to get the teachers Union to goalong with this, Sire, that's a
great question. Yeah, I'm speechlesson that one. I'm not worried about
it, and I don't care. We're gonna start listening. We're going to
start listening to parents. I'm guessingthat wouldn't be the first thing that they've
(01:33:39):
opposed that in Texas schools that haveactually happened. No, it wouldn't.
But Jimmy, here's the thing. The vast majority of teachers don't identify with
the teachers' union and the wokness ofthe teachers' union. The vast majority of
teachers in the state of Texas arereally great people that hold on the same
values that you and I hold onto. So if we do this in
(01:34:00):
the schools, where does it go? I assume you want to put you
would want to put somewhere where theyhad the maximum amount of impact. Where
would that be? You know,if it's somewhere in the front of the
classroom, near the American flag, near the Texas flag, that'd be fine.
Okay, So we're not talking aboutposting one list in one spot in
the school. We're talking about havingit in every classroom in every school.
(01:34:25):
It depends on what the final billis going to look like. And I
don't want to presume that I knowwhat the final bill is going to look
like. Okay, got you allright, Well we'll see what happens with
this. Good luck. That isTexas State Representative Steve Toath. It is

(01:41:53):

that Biden doesn't care about the bordercrisis, the need for detention isn't a
priority of this administration, and thisis an example of them not really paying
attention to the numbers, not tryingto solve the problem. Former Acting ICE
Director Ron Vittello told KTRH this willonly encourage more illegal immigration. People know
(01:42:15):
that if they make it past theborder, even if they are someone that

No more for in twenty twenty fourwith news radio seven forty KTRH. So
the average we're hiree, how muchdo you suppose the average retiree spends on
(01:43:02):
monthly expenses? If you had topick a dollar amount, I can tell
you it's four thousand, three hundredand forty five bucks. Some will spend
more, that's the menion. Somewill spend less. Spend upon where you
live and what you're spending it on. There are four basic things that seniors
(01:43:24):
are spending that money on. Housing, transportation, healthcare, and food.
Oh you mean basically living the thingsyou need to survive. Yes, Now
imagine there's a lot of things youcan do to reduce some of those expenses.
(01:43:45):
For example, if you outright ownyour home, don't have a mortgage
on it in any way, shapeor form, so that the only thing
you're really paying, well, you'repaying for two things. Then you're paying
for your monthly utility bills and yourproperty taxes and your insurance. So a
home, even if you own itoutright don't have a mortgage payment, is
(01:44:08):
still there's still a pretty good monthlyexpense involved in having a home. Oh,
so sell it and go go payrent somewhere. Huh. Well,
yeah, you either pay it onrent or you pay it on your home.
I think I'd rather pay it onmy home to pay it on rent.
Transportation you can not, well, yeah, you could not have a
(01:44:28):
car you could not have you couldat least not have a car payment.
You wouldn't want to have a carpayment. But you're still going to have
expenses gas oil, rotating the time, governmsportation repairs. Yeah, those types
of where the government wants you togo. I know where they want me
to go, and I'm not goingthere voluntarily. Healthcare that's something that you
(01:44:54):
just go now, yep, governmentcontrolled. But the one thing you know,
obviously, the healthier you are, you'll spend on that. And of
course the one I haven't figured outhow to get around food. I can't
figure that one out yet. Ialways survive without food, but that is
getting to be one of the biggestexpenditures. Over twelve percent of all annual
income for people sixty five and oldersspent on food. Because your income isn't
(01:45:19):
that great, right exactly, Soyou're not you're not eating steak. It's
a necessity. So yeah, youjust save where you can, thus looking
for the coupon. Here we gowith the percentages again, yeah, exactly.
Okay, but those are the fourexpressions you have to prepare for.
And if you are not getting fourthree and forty five dollars a month,

Well? Barrel's a mess has strengthenedup a little bit more, back up
to one hundred and thirty miles perhour. It is just east of some
(01:47:34):
of these windward islands. It lookslike the main impact is going to be
felt over St. Vincent, theGrenadines Granada as well, and it likely
will stay this major hurricane as itpasses through the islands into the Caribbean.
Eventually it'll weaken a little bit. We're going to keep a close eye on

once you get out beyond three orfour days, there's a lot of variability

matters to the Hughes Radio seven fortyKTRH. Kevin McCarthy, the former House
Speaker, says Democrats have kind ofset themselves up for a real difficult time
trying to get rid of him ifhe wants to stay in the race.
You know, the one thing thatthe Democrats did once Joe Biden became president,
he changed the rules. Remember,Iowa and New Hampshire were not the
(01:51:44):
first two states for the primary. He shifted it to be South Carolina,
and then they fought to make surenobody else could be on the ballot against
him. They created this problem, and the only way Joe Biden can come
off the ballot is if he decidesit. When you talk about the Democrats
saying democracy is on the ballot, could you imagine putting somebody else on the
(01:52:05):
ballot. Then the people actually decidedin a democratic way going through all these
primaries, Joe Biden's going to bethe nominee. Joe Biden's not going to
give it up. Why because Jilldoes not want to give it up either.
And what's interesting to me, Ihad talked about these problems with Joe
Biden for a long time. Ilearned when I was negotiating with it.
(01:52:25):
You can't negotiate with he just talksabout cards. You have to negotiate with
staff. I told the Wall StreetJournal all this. They came out with
the story and everybody criticized us.You know, you got mourning Joe saying
Joe Biden's the best he's ever been, and then this morning he's saying there
should be somebody else to replace him. Jeez. Yeah, of course that's
their position. So let me justask this I'm going to ask you one
(01:52:46):
more time. Don't yell me.I'm just trying to inquire here. Okay,
Joe Biden has not officially been nominated, right, he has to be
nominated by the convention, so Ino, but he has the delegates,
they don't have the super delegates. He has to remove himself. Remember,
they got Ohio coming up, becausethey got that quirk where they have to
(01:53:09):
affirm it even before they get tothe convention. So he has to make
the decision. But the real timewould have been a year ago before he
started to rush. But that's sothey don't have to The Democrats delegates to
the convention don't have to have somekind of pro form a vote and nominate
Joe Biden. They do, butthey start that ahead of time because they
(01:53:29):
got to keep them on the ballotin Ohio. They had that quirk going
forward. All right, they're stuck. They are stuck in a bed of
their own making. All right, listen, you all have a great day.
I'm sure we'll have a lot ofreaction to whatever the Supreme Court decides
on presidential immunity tomorrow morning. Andwe'll see you tomorrow morning, bright nearly
five I'll see the seven four andAM nine to fifty KPRC
