Speaker 1 (00:03):
This is US Radio seven forty KATI RH Houston.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Live Everywhere with now the latest news, weather and traffic.
It's more of what matters to you from the John
Morris Services studios. Well, good morning, five Am is our
time here on Houston's Morning News. I'm Jimmy Barrett. Among
our top stories as we get started this morning, we
have more gun violence threats against ice. Democrats are worried

(00:29):
if you're suffering. They want leverage in coming up at
five oh eight. You use all of your vacation time
details in the minutes ahead. You're in Houston's Morning News. First,
we're gonna check out that morning drive for the first time.
Good morning Skinning. Hey dude, what's up. We've got Katie Freeway.
I'm just looking at student mind.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
There's an entry in some of our screens that say
that we're stopped on ITM westbound downtown. I don't see
it and I don't believe it, but I know we
are having a lane reduction that's supposed to be the
seventh of November.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
You think the three.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Lanes and wall of that they're fun, Wait till we
have two lanes and the text dot wall of death.
I'll keep an eye on this stuff throughout the morning.
So far, we're slinking around the roads and getting into ten,
getting into work on time. Skymikeel the USA RB Resorts
dot Com traffic center.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
From our KTRH top tax defenders twenty four hour weather
center party. Cloudie's slight chance of a shower today with
a high temperature right about eighty seven. Looks like the
big rain day is going to be Saturday night. He
could start Friday night, but into Saturday. We'll check all
this out and see what's going on with Melissa, now
projected to grow into a category for hurricane in the
next few days. We'll talk to her about all this
in about nine minutes right now sixty three at your

(01:37):
official severe weather station, News Radio seven forty k TRH.
It's time now for the news. Here's Cliff Sanders, Thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Jimmy five OHO one on KTRH. Our chop story, another day,
another threat against ice.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
They are not.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
They are not.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
The only ones. What dons in this city.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
That is Los Angeles High School teacher ron Go coachas
who could be referred now to the DOJ by Homeland
Security elsewhere. Attorney General Letitia James in the sanctuary state
of New York launches a website where you can literally
tattle on ICE agents and their activities. And in Chicago,

(02:17):
a judge blocks agents from arresting illegals at courthouses. It's
being called a coup against ICE.

Speaker 6 (02:25):
Moves like this are putting both ICE agents and even
potential detainees at risk.

Speaker 7 (02:29):
This judge, just like other sanctuary officials, are forcing ICE
agents to be out on the streets arresting criminal aliens.

Speaker 6 (02:37):
Breitbart's Bob Price says these arrests would be much safer
if they were conducted in jails or courthouses.

Speaker 7 (02:42):
They're just trying to put handcuffs on all of our
federal law enforcement officials to keep them from doing the
job that Congress has authorized and ordered them to do.

Speaker 6 (02:50):
Price also warned that Democrats could try to arrest and
charge ICE agents next time they're in power. Ethan Buchanan
News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
It's a different story in Texas, where Attorney General Ken
Paxson's Criminal Investigative Division just turned over thirty five illegals
to ICE, and a new poll finds that right here
in the Lone Star State, more than half of registered
voters approve of Trump's immigration enforcement.

Speaker 8 (03:14):
Politicianally, that number is about thirty five percent, So for
Texas to be at fifty one, that feels about right.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Republican strategist Vinnie Minchilla says that President Trump's border enforcement
has been so successful some voters are simply ready to
move on.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Five ZHO three.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Trump has cleaned up the border and several federal agencies.
There's more evidence that he should start focusing on FEMA.

Speaker 9 (03:40):
An internal government review found evidence that FEMA used relief
efforts to collect political information about disaster victims, while allowing
employees to skip over homes based on political signs. Homeland
Security Secretary Christy Noham recently told Fox News Radio they
are overhauling the agency.

Speaker 10 (03:56):
We've been very upfront that FEMA's broken. President Trump as
soon as he came into office, said Christy. Eliminate FEMA
the way that it works today, politicized, it's been a
walk agency that hasn't responded to people when they have
a crisis in their life.

Speaker 9 (04:08):
After last year's hurricanes in North Carolina and Florida, FEMA
workers were told to avoid homes with pro Trumps signs
because they may be hostile Coreyolsa News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
To shut down now in day twenty three. And while
Democrats claim they care about how this is impacting main Street,
every once in a while they actually tell the truth.

Speaker 11 (04:31):
Of course, there will be, you know, families that are
going to suffer. We take that responsibility very seriously, but
it is one of the few leverage times we.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Have leverage, Massachusetts Democrat Congresswoman Catherine Clark said in a
recent interview with Fox's Chat program. Senate Democrats voted for
the twelfth time to keep the government shut down. In
political reports that majority of leader John Thune met with
Republicans yesterday to discus ways forward on Obamacare once the
government does reopen.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Five HO five Here at Home.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Governor Greg Abbott was in Houston yesterday campaigning for Prop three,
which would amend the state constitution to help keep violent
criminals behind bars instead of letting them out on bonds.

Speaker 12 (05:18):
Proposition three is amazing because it gives judges the tools
that they need to say, you know what, this individual
is far too dangerous. It does not matter to me
how much money they do or do not have. They
are not going to be allowed to go back out
in the community.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Crime victim advocate April LA Geary. By the way, Abbott
also promised to spend some of his ninety million dollar
campaign war chests to help turn Harris County. Quote Dark
Red will have much more on that tomorrow. Houston City
Council delayed the votes on it proposed sixteen million dollar
homeless super hub in East Downtown after pushback from residents.

Speaker 13 (05:53):
I appreciate them tagging the item for one week. However,
I think before the vote takes place, we need written
documentation of their plan for security.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
That woman with our TV partner Channel two in a
state directed homeless sweep in Austin may be just the
beginning in Texas.

Speaker 14 (06:15):
This week's rate of tent camps in Austin has some
wondering when other cities will also get help dealing with
their homeless populations. Experts say the only way this will
work is when it's coupled with assistance for those living there.

Speaker 15 (06:28):
Partner with public help to get these people the help
that they need.

Speaker 14 (06:31):
Recovery advocate Tom Wolf says the only Texas city that's
set up to do this is San Antonio with the
Haven for Hope. The number of homeless people in Texas
has increased in recent years. The latest numbers show that
last year, twenty eight thousand were sleeping on the streets.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Here reach is Beth Myers.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
The Houston Texans continue to prepare for Sunday's matchup with
the forty nine Ers. Wide receiver Dico Collins remains in
concussion protocol after getting hurt against Seattle. I'm Cliff Saunders
on Houston's News, weather and Traffic station News Radio seven
forty KTRH.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Traffic and Weather when you need it most every ten
minutes on the tens.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
This is Houston's Morning News with Jimmy Barrett Tad the
Houston Morning News Team. So I'm looking at this survey
here about taking vacation time. This one's a little surprising
to me. According to the new report, twenty three percent
of employees did not take a single vacation day in
the last year. Twenty three percent. Wow, Well, hang on,

(07:36):
there might be a logical explanation for this. I would
think people who don't take vacation days are people who
are self employed, for example, or they gown to business.
A lot harder to take a vacation, especially if you're
starting up a business because you're usually working every day.
I mean, it's at some point in time you probably
need to take a little bit of a vacation just

(07:56):
to rest your brain. But I think that's probably where
that figure comes from. But there are other reasons why
employees do not at least use the vacation time they're
entitled to. I've been with iHeart long enough now I
think I get five weeks a year, and I use
them all I do. There used to be a time
where I didn't use vacation days all the time. There

(08:18):
used to be a time in my life where I
was afraid if I went on vacation, whoever's filling in
for me would be better than I was, and I
would have a job to come back to. I think
that's part of the reason why people don't use the
vacation time is that if they have a fear that
if they take vacation time, it will cause them to
not be promoted in the workplace or they'll have other issues.

(08:38):
Here are the other reasons, other than maybe being self employed.
Though workload, forty three percent of workers have felt that
they have too much work to justify taking vacation. Thirty
percent worried about falling behind. Twenty nine percent feel guilty
or pressure to appear committed at their jobs and overse
you take a vacation week, you're not really committed to
working here, are you, Or they think that that's what

(08:59):
their boss is going to think. Twenty five percent of
workers say their manager would likely respond in a discouraging
manner if asked to take a full week off. Well,
if you're entitled to the week, you're entitled to the week.
More than thirty three percent of employees say they don't
think they have enough personal time off to take a
proper vacation. In other words, were if I were to

(09:22):
go somewhere, I wouldn't have enough time to go there.
Or maybe they can't afford right now to take a
vacation worthy of taking the vacation days. In other words,
I can't afford playing tickets and hotel and all that stuff.
If I'm just going to stay home, I might just
well work staycations. Evidently I was never a big fan
of a staycation. I've learned to appreciate them as I've

(09:44):
gotten older, though, of just sleeping in, for me, sleeping
into seven o'clock is a staycation. So here's my question.
What about you. Do you use all of your vacation
time and what do you do with your vacation time
to relax that actually recharges you? Or do you worry
when you go on vacation that something bad is gonna

(10:06):
happen at work, or somebody's could perform, or your boss
isn't gonna appreciate the fact that you took the time off.
Your thoughts on vacation and vacation time, and how you
usual you go do the iHeartRadio, I'm KTRH. You hit
the talkback button, first thing where you're calling from, and
your thoughts on vacation time? Right now? Five to ten
sky Mike is here, yet he doesn't take you don't
take very many vacations, usually just to get root canals

(10:28):
and stuff. And I like to go, wow, that's fun.

Speaker 16 (10:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
I like to take half days.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
I haven't needed a divorce in a long time, so
I haven't you know, that's been different.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
So we're looking at it.

Speaker 16 (10:38):
Ten.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
I was checking this out downtown.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
They've got an entry. I want to double check that
it's showing up. Okay, good, Christina. Fix that somebody from
the overnight shift put in our iHeartRadio screen that there
was this big stoppage on the KDE Freeway downtown.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
I think they got their days mixed up. That's okay,
Christina fixed it, so we're we're okay.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
On the KDIE Freeway downtown westbound from forty five out
to Stewd of mind, we still have three and we're
happy to have three skinny lanes and the text dok
wall of death because in a couple of weeks it's
going to be two skinny lanes and the text talk
wall of death on the outbound that starts in November seven,
now six. Jennifer, who's done a very poor job of

(11:20):
setting me up with her friend in the weather department,
but she's giving me a moving shot of one forty
six northbound at Texas Avenue Baytown and we're still taking
out two right lanes.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
What is wrong with the road there? If you could
skip over to Alexander, save yourself a lot of trouble.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Terry, I don't get it, okay, how can it be
both pumpkin season and hurricane season? Make up your mind.
I'm in the USA Arbresorts dot Com traffic center. Evidentally,
Terry's staring on vacation today. No, okay because no, because
she hasn't popped in yet.

Speaker 17 (11:51):
Me.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
We're having a little problem with our communication line here.
We'll have to figure that one out. I'll do the
forecast now, I'm gonna do it for you. We have
a high pressure center up. We have enough guys pretending
chicks on this show. Come on from our KTRH top
tax Defenders twenty four hour weather center for today partly
claudie'slight chance of a shower right about eighty seven for
tomorrow becoming cloudy with the stray shower storm eighty six.

(12:11):
Saturdays looking like the big day as far as thunderstorms

intro more of rain with the hive seventy eight, and
then morning showers on Sunday when we get back to

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Your reliable forecast next on the ten on seven forty KTRH. Right, so,
the progressive media's attention is almost entirely focused right now
on the big beautiful ballroom that Trump is building, and
how horrific it is that he's destroying the White House
because because they actually had the nerve to knock off

(12:59):
an in of the east wing so that they could
be attaching this ballroom to it, and they're making it
sound like he's destroying the White House. More than that
story coming up next, but first to five twenty, let's
do traffic and whether together, starting with sky Mink. Oh,
by the way, Jimmy, it may be a bit before
we get Terry.

Speaker 18 (13:16):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
I don't think they paid their light bill in the
golf ball, so they've shut down the golf ball for
a little bit. We'll get her back eventually. Let's look
at one forty six northbound Baytown. This is up, boy,
they're still fixing whatever is wrong with that overpass around
Texas Avenue northbound. Just one left lane getting by for now,
it's about a three minute scoots. You can get by it,
but i'd jump on Alexander, get out of that business elsewhere.

(13:40):
Two twenty five looks good Laport one forty six in

Brazies River.

This has made my whole day more official, one Youth
Radio seven KTRH. Yeah, it's the ballroom blitz all right.
Five twenty two is her time here in Houston's Warning News.
The progressive left media just out of their minds over
what Trump is doing with a big, beautiful ballroom, like
he's destroying the place here. They are melting down with

(15:16):
some reaction on the five from Jesse Waters.

Speaker 19 (15:18):
Donald Trump wants to be okay, it's the best explanation
for everything he's been doing just a recent day.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
He's just look at what he's doing right now to.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
The White House.

Speaker 20 (15:27):
It does to me when I look at it quickly,
look like a Kim Jong un.

Speaker 10 (15:31):
Propaganda video right of You know, when he does the
noops on Washington River, might.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
Be there's something disturbing about it. This unprecedented moment. As
an app.

Speaker 14 (15:39):
Metaphor, Trump's demolishing the White House as he also demolishes
our country's constitutional norms and rule of law.

Speaker 9 (15:46):
The perfect metaphor for how President Trump was trying to
just bulldoze his put of the FoST I'll tell you.

Speaker 5 (15:50):
What I don't care about. I don't care about the
damn ballroom. If you thought that was deranged.

Speaker 21 (15:57):
MSNBC's Jen Saki was making some truly despicable comments about
Vice President jad Vance's wife, Lusha Vance.

Speaker 22 (16:05):
Watch.

Speaker 23 (16:06):
I think the little mentorian candidate JD. Vance wants to
be president more than anything else. I always wonder what's
going on in the mind of his wife.

Speaker 5 (16:17):
Are you okay?

Speaker 23 (16:18):
Please bring blink four times? Yeah, we'll come over here.
We'll save you. He's scarier in certain ways, he's smarter
some ways, and he's young.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
This is like all the things Democrats do.

Speaker 24 (16:29):
They complain and complain, and then all of a sudden,
when there's like lower taxes and lower crime, they're secretly
happy about it. Barack Obama himself wanted a big, beautiful ballroom.
He had to hold a state dinner in a tent
in a tent, in a tent.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
In the United States of America.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
How stupid is that.

Speaker 24 (16:47):
This whole East Wing or whatever you call it, it
was just a a ruse to cover up a bunker.
There's an underground bunker down there. That's the whole reason
we have the East Wing in the first place, and
Democrats had this whole epiphany, remember the whole book that
came out abundance.

Speaker 5 (17:05):
We have to be able to do things.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
We have to be able to build things.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
We have to be able to make things work.

Speaker 24 (17:09):
Okay, so Trump's building stuff and they're against it.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
They can't build anything. All they do is destroy.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
They destroy cities, they tear down statues.

Speaker 24 (17:19):
At least Trump's demolishing something and he's building it back up.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
Look at the Palisades.

Speaker 24 (17:24):
That's a demolition site and Gavin.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Newsom hasn't even cut any tape there. This guy is
modernizing the country.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
AI.

Speaker 24 (17:33):
We're building nuclear power plants, bitcoin, he's rewiring world trade.
We have to go into this century with the full
force of American ingenuity. And if it means a big,
beautiful ballroom, if it means bitcoin, if it means a
grand arch in the middle of DC, that's a good thing.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
Hang on, we put in a grand arch in the
middle of Washington, DC. No, I think he's just using
that as an example. But I was mentioning this yesterday.
The police allow me to mention this again. There is
nothing going on at the White House that has not
happened before. In fact, in nineteen between nineteen forty eight
and nineteen fifty two, under Democrat Harry S. Truman, the

(18:17):
entire White House was renovated. They took it down to
the walls. They dug everything else out. Everything that's in
there inside of the walls of the White House doesn't
go back to eighteen fourteen or even back to seventeen
eighty nine when the White House first opened. None of
that is there. That was all when Truman did that renovation.

(18:39):
The place was falling down. The place was a dump,
and they were restored it completely restored. They had to
completely rebuild the White House in eighteen fourteen during the
War of eighteen twelve because the British burned it down.
They have Jackie Kennedy during the Kennedy administration, completely renovated
the interior of the White House again, changing all the
decorps meant that was a Democrat. There are plenty of

(19:03):
presidents who have done this in the past. It's about
trying to make sure everything's functional, everything works, and that
the People's House looks the way it deserves to look.
Five twenty six, It's time to take a look at
your money as we check in this morning with Let's
see who's working this morning. Torton down Hoo, Good morning,
Good morning.

Speaker 25 (19:23):
Southwest is flying high thanks to its new policy of
charging for bags. The airline posted a surprise profit in
the most recent quarter and expects record revenue during the
holiday period. Southwest is in the middle of an extensive makeover.
The airline ditched its free check bag policy in May,
and we'll begin charging for seating next year. Turning to

(19:43):

dowtfalling three hundred and thirty four points yesterday, Shares of
Netflix tumbled ten percent for the first time in two years.

Most of our freeways are still in that calm before
the next shoe drops in the woods. So it's it's
easy going for me right now. And I'm looking at

We need someone from the Generator Supercenter to go and

(21:56):
seven forty KTRH. It is time now for the news.
Here's clips on Thank you Jimmy.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
It is five point thirty two on KTRH. Top story
Sad Stories. We're learning more about a fire overnight killing
two young children in the city of Houston. We're also
working to learn the ages of the children and the
condition of their mother. Two adults, a man and a woman,
were found in outside.

Speaker 26 (22:19):
The man, who officials say is the children's grandfather, had
severe burns and tried to go inside to rescue them.

Speaker 5 (22:26):
The woman believed to be the children's mother.

Speaker 26 (22:28):
Also had injuries, both for rush to the hospital.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
The grandfather in critical condition at last check. TJ. Parker
with our TV partner, Channel two, also topping.

Speaker 18 (22:36):
The news, we canceled the meeting with President Putin. It
just it didn't feel right to me. It didn't feel
like we were going to get to the place we
have to get, so I canceled it.

Speaker 4 (22:45):
President Trump during yesterday's meeting with the NATO Secretary General,
calling it a waste of time as he tries to
bring Ukraine and Russia together to end their almost four
year long war. At least five people were killed after
two more military strikes on a back to drug votes
in the Pacific Ocean. Secretary of War Secretary of State
Marco Rubio says the strikes were carefully planned from.

Speaker 27 (23:07):
A moment these things were put together, the moment they
were coordinated. We know where they're headed, we know where
their drop off points are, we know what organizations they're
involved in.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
These things are tracked very carefully.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
The left claims that the strikes are unlawful without congressional approval. Meantime,
the Schumer shutdown is in date twenty three, both parties
fret about who voters blame for the shutdown. White House
Press Secretary Caroline Levitt seized on that, writing that Democrats
are quote admitting their inflicting pain, asking what is wrong
with them? Both parties convinced their prevailing in the shutdown.

(23:41):
The Senate holds a test vote Thursday related to a
bill to pay a central federal workers on the job
without a paycheck. Democrats are skeptical Fox's chant pergrim on
Capitol Hill if you are flying today. As of now,
the FAA does not have any planned or potential ground
stops at Bush or Hobby listed on their website. However,

(24:01):
keep in mind that could change five point thirty four.
In an effort to bring down beef prices, President Trump
is hinted at importing beef from Argentina. Argentina rather, Texas

Now back to Jimmy Barrett and the Houston Morning News Team,
Houston's Morning News. Here's the chance I think to call
off California. And it's ironic that I have the story
this morning because we were just talking about this yesterday
about how Governor Gavin Newsom is the only governor in
the country refusing to follow the Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy

(27:32):
and the Trump administration's edict on CDLs being given to
illegals or people who don't speak or understand English.

Speaker 30 (27:42):
We have.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
We have a traffic accident cause and this is, by
by the way, by a big rig driver. This isn't
like a pickup truck. This is this is the big
rig driver. And there's video of the accident. He's driving
down some freeway in southern California, him and he POWs
into the traffic is stopped and he just plows into
the back end of a vehicle and it sets off

(28:08):
a chain reaction. I think five or six vehicles ultimately
get involved in the thing. Three people are killed. He
is here illegally, He's only twenty one years old, and
there's more to the story than even that. Here is
the report from Los Angeles. ABC seven.

Speaker 31 (28:27):
Investigators say the driver of this devastating crash was illegally
living and working in California, and tonight for the first time,
we are seeing his face. This exclusive dash cam video
shows the final seconds before three people died in this explosive,
chaotic wreck. This dramatic video on the ten Freeway in

(28:48):
Ontario is from inside this red freightliner truck, which authorities
say was driven by josh Sean pret Singh. Investigators say
the twenty one year old was driving inpaired when the
truck calls this chain reaction crash. A law enforcement source
confirmed to ABC News that's seeing is an Indian national
who entered the US illegally three years ago. The deadly

(29:08):
crash turning political, with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy posting on
x quote, this is exactly why USDT has withheld forty
million from California for failure to comply with our rules
to protect drivers.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
We cannot allow our roads to be a dangerous place.

Speaker 31 (29:24):
Eight cars were damaged during the crash Tuesday, which happened
in the middle of the day.

Speaker 20 (29:29):
The hardest part is knowing that at least three of
these individuals will not have a Christmas we will not
make at home as we're getting to the holiday season.

Speaker 31 (29:37):
One of the victims identified as a fifty four year
old man from upland two of the other people who
died were burned so badly in the fire they haven't
been identified.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Wow, which means, of course the vehicle could not even
be identified either, So they have no idea you know
what make model vehicle, what the license plate number was,
who those two people? Two of those three people who
died were all caused by an impaired driver twenty one
years old here illegally, who was issued as CDL licensed
by the state of California, the only state that continues

(30:09):
to fight the law. The law is there to protect you,
and evidently California doesn't care about that. By forty time

they deserve to have a song or too. Diana first
got Roth, director of the Center for Energy and Environment

(34:33):
and the Heritage Foundation. We're looking at this story that
appeared in tom Hall about the Department of Homeland Securities
report that FEMA workers improperly tracked politics of disaster victims.
Why would they want to know how you're going to
vote in the next election before they give you a Diana, Well.

Speaker 17 (34:50):
Thank you for letting me be on your show. I
think that I think that when there's limited resources and
people feel very polarized about one party, then they're going
to go for the Kamala Harris voters rather than the
Trump vote, especially since there are signs in front of houses,
and especially since we know which districts tend to vote Democrat,

(35:16):
which districts tend to vote Republican. And this is a
very sad statement, but the report that was published by
town Hall indicates that this might have happened, or that
this did happen, and it's a really sad state on
our disaster preparedness. We need to make sure that no

(35:38):
politics gets into any kind of disaster relief.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Well, here's what I have to wonder is where did
the orders for this originate? Did they did the orders
originate within FEMA? Did they originate somewhere else in the
previous administration? Who laid down the groundwork for this type
of policy.

Speaker 17 (35:59):
There's a number of possibilities that it could have come
just not from the top, but from individuals. You have
to realize that about ninety six percent of government workers
are registered Democrats, and so it could be that some
people lower down they were not given instructions from the top,

(36:21):
they decided to behave this way themselves. Anyone who had control.

Speaker 5 (36:26):
Over rolling out.

Speaker 17 (36:27):
These resources, and there are so many resources that people
at the bottom could have too. It's just a matter
of saying, well, let's hit this neighborhood first, and we'll
get to that one when we finished, knowing that there's
a whole list of neighborhoods, and you're likely to get
to the one you don't like or you don't agree
with only in several days or sometimes several weeks. If

(36:48):
you look at what happened in North Carolina right before
the last election, right and what happened there.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Of course, part of what happened there is they were
looking for campaign signs. If they saw that tub if
you had a republic can campaign sign your yard, they
skipped your house.

Speaker 15 (37:03):
Yeah, exactly so.

Speaker 17 (37:05):
And it's not necessarily that there was an order from
the head of STEMA to do that. It's very unlikely
that that was, but people at the local level decided
they were going to prioritize their frank right.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
And it shows how it shows how far the rot
can go in government, doesn't it when when when you've
got to it's not it's not the people who are
making the decisions at the top all the time that
are having the real impact on how these departments operate.
It's the people in the field.

Speaker 17 (37:31):
Well exactly. And it also shows how polarized our society
has gotten. And I think the age of the Internet
has not helped because there could be someone you disagree
with and you wouldn't use bad language in front of
their face, but if it's a tweet in the middle
of the night, you're more likely to do that and
say something very negative.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
Yeah. Do you see this as a fixable problem?

Speaker 17 (37:51):
Difficult? Do I see there's a fixable problem.

Speaker 15 (37:54):
Yes, well, let me let me put it this way.
There was lot of.

Speaker 17 (38:00):
Polarization right after Bush versus Gore. But then when nine
to eleven happened, everybody got together. Everybody, everybody got together
and we all and we all fought against those people
who had crashed the planes into the World Trade Center
and into the Pentagon and had that plane come down

(38:20):
in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. There was a moment of national unity.
I think it's sad to say, but these moments of
very difficult times in the United States, when someone attacks us,
that brings people together, and it's very possible that there
will be an occasion like that that will bring people together.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
Well, let's hope it doesn't.

Speaker 17 (38:42):
Tell I don't see it as impossible. But basically, in
the basic run of how it's going now, I think
it's very unification. It's very difficult.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
I think you're probably right. Thank you very much for

Now, the Trump administration uncovers more more evidence of political
bias at FEMA, and internal report finds that workers discriminated
against disaster victims based on politics and collected personal data
on them. Secretary Christy nom told Fox News Radio FEMA
was broken when she got to Washington.

Speaker 10 (43:18):
People would wait days, weeks, months for relief, and we
saw that unfold in North Carolina and then how they
targeted people politically to give them disaster response if they
were supportive of their politics. If they weren't, they went
past their house. President Trump said, fix it.

Speaker 5 (43:31):
I am, and we have.

There is bipartisan legislation in Congress to remove FEMA from

We actually are going to locate the HVD homeless outreach program.
There'd be eight officer stationed permanently at this site, with

enlarge that detail. So this area is going to get
more public safety than ever.

you want to go on vacation with Chevy Chase six?
By the way, did you see Chevy Chase's I think
we get In fact, if we can await tickets for
this yet, I'm not sure. But he's coming to Sugarland,
I guess. And they're doing a preview of National Lampoon's

(45:43):
Christmas Vacation, which of course he stars in, and then
he's going to be there answering questions about the movie,
and you know, I guess his life in general. That's
kind of a that's kind of cool. It's like when
we had the you know, Monty Python on the whole
grail in town and John Cleese, who's there answering questions.
So if Chevy Chase is coming to Shaglane anyway, I digress.

(46:06):
Vacation is what we're talking about here, Christmas or otherwise.
But I saw this story that just I found kind
of incredulous that twenty three percent of us don't use
any vacation time at all. Nicer thing, Well, okay, self employed.
I can see. If you're self employed, you run your
own business, you really don't feel like you can leave
on vacation sometimes heck, you're working all the time. Right

(46:29):
to me, that's a recipe for burnout. But I get it.
But a lot of people don't use all of their
vacation time and the reasons have a lot to do
with how their employers look at them taking vacation time,
or their their concerns over how their employers would interpret
them taking vacation time, especially if you're taking it a
week at a time, or more so your thoughts on

(46:49):
vacation and staycation. Do you take your vacation days, how
do you spend your vacation days, What in your mind
constitutes of vacation and what doesn't.

you know, taking a Friday off here and there anyway.

Speaker 2 (47:41):
That's all I got.

Speaker 33 (47:42):
Y'all have a good day.

Speaker 2 (47:44):
I feel that way too. In fact, I'm doing that
a lot. You'll see that I'm doing that a lot
between now and the end of the year. But here's
a vacation you might not get bored with after three days.
I can't see that bunch today. But Monday morning, I'm
going to announce w our next listener vacation is going

We had a Greek cruise and had a fantastic time.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
And as always SOMETHING i forgive. Him ON Us radio
SEVEN k let's talk ABOUT ice this time. Around we're
not talking about the violence AGAINST, ice although it's been
plenty of that that's ratcheted, up continues to ratchet. Up
but is there a judicial coup forming AGAINST? Ice AND

(53:22):
i would have to say it already has. Formed we've
already seen an example of this In wisconsin And i'm
sure other places as. Well Alex, barlow who's The breitbart
editor in chief, said And i'm going to quote, him,
so IF ice wants someone who's being, detained AND ice
coordinates with the courthouse the person's, released THAT ice can get.
Them this means THAT ice doesn't have to roll around
on our. Streets and if the judge said that they

(53:44):
could do, that THEN ice could get. Arrested that's what
the judge would. Say you'd like to think this is
going to get, overturned but this is judicial coup against our.
Country Bob, Price Texas associate Editor breitbart joins, Us we've
already seen this In, wisconsin haven't, We. Bob we've seen
it all over the.

Speaker 36 (54:00):
Country, jimmy it started with these federal judges who think
somehow they're automatically the commander in, chief that they can
overrule military decisions of The president of The United states
and try to stop him from implementing the plans that
he was elected by the people of The United states to.
Do we had A No Kings day nationwide protest over

(54:22):
the weekend and trying to say That Donald trump is
acting as a. King but it's these judges that are
acting as, kings kings and queens all across the country
where they think they can just.

Speaker 2 (54:34):
Take over the executive branch of the.

Speaker 36 (54:37):
Government so once these federal judges do, it now you're
seeing these state and local judges thinking they can do
the same.

Speaker 22 (54:43):
Thing.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
Yeah you, know in the case of the state the local,
judges we can eventually hopefully vote them out because most
of them are voted for at least that's what you'd
like to think you could. Do you don't get that
choice with the federal. Judge so how do we cure
the problem with the federal? Judges is there a cure
for that?

Speaker 36 (55:01):
Problem, well there is a cure through that problem with,
impeachment but it's hard to get The house Of representatives to.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
Take action on.

Speaker 36 (55:10):
That and then if you did get them to do,
that and then they finally got it to The, senate
you can't even get an appropriations bill passed out of
The senate right. Now so you're sure not going to
get a two thirds majority for impeachment of a federal.
Judge so right now we're kind of hamstrung except through
the process of taking it to The Supreme court and

(55:30):
getting a reasonable decision out of The Supreme.

Speaker 2 (55:33):
Court Right, well The Supreme court's already spoken out a
little bit on this, issue especially in federal judges who
think that they can make rulings for the entire. Country
they basically told them they, can't but they're still doing.

Speaker 36 (55:42):
It they, Are and that's the lawlessness of The democrats
who are in these positions all across the, country whether
it's federal, judges or state. Judges they are encouraging lawlessness
because they're not respecting the constitution and the rule of
law in this. Country it's really a scary position when

(56:03):
you look at the power that these people are trying
to wield upon the federal.

Speaker 2 (56:09):
Government, yeah this thing doesn't end. WELL i wouldn't Think Bob,

it's an important stage for, us an important element to
the entertainment. Value the thing that THE nfl And goodell

(01:22:12):
seem to particularly like About Bad money as they don't
care that he's Anti. Ice they don't even care that
he's kind of Anti american because they're not really interested

that he Speaks, spanish that he's reaching people in other

(01:22:36):
countries that they're trying to. REACH i don't know if
you've noticed or, not but The National Football league is
not happy just being The National Football league of The United.
States there's a lot more money to be made out
there if they can just have The National Football league
catch on all around the. World and they've had some
success with this In, europe for, example there are a

worried about us that We're we're not the audience that
they care, about at least when it comes to the

very closely the possibility of some rain and not so
much rain today and a little bit. Tomorrow It's. Saturday

(01:26:00):
that looks to be a real suggy, day and it's
good because we need. It we are so far below
average and, rainfall not just this, month but for the
air so today are twenty percent chance of those showers and.
Thunderstorms temperatures today mid to upper. Eighties, tomorrow it's a
forty percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms mid to upper eighties.

(01:26:22):
Tomorrow but Starting friday night and then continuing through a
good bit of the Day. Saturday it'll taper off Some
saturday night Into, sunday but we still have a forty
percent chance of rain On. Sunday we're going to wind
up with several inches of, rain and everybody's yards are
going to look so much.

Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
Happier, Well i'm hoping it doesn't come down all at once, though,
right so there's going to be kind of an old day,
rain kind of a thing that just has a chance
to soak.

Speaker 20 (01:26:48):
In, well it's not going to come down all at,
once but it's going to come down heavy through a
prolonged period of Time friday, Night, saturday And saturday Night sunday.
TOO i do think a lot of this is going
to soak. In but we may end up with some
places that if they get four inches of rain in
a short period of, time we may have some local life.

(01:27:09):
Pluting we'll have to watch. That but for the most,

it would have been just a few short years. Ago
Sid miller JOINS Us Texas Agricultural. Commissioner President trump would
like to import more, beef in, PARTICULAR i think From,
argentina because he understands as a supply and demand issue
and beef prices have gotten so. High he wants to
try to get the price. Down i'm thinking, Though texas
ranchers probably don't like that idea very.

Speaker 15 (01:29:39):
Much good, Morning this Is Commasonal. Miller good to be
with you this.

Speaker 2 (01:29:45):
Morning, yes, sir did you hear my?

Speaker 15 (01:29:47):
Question, yes, sir you know we've h ice of beef
is too. HIGH i agree With President trump on, that
or certainly agree on his. CALVES i think there's better
ways to lower the price of beef than more. Beef
two problems with Importing argentine. Beef we already input Some
argentine beef to grind it off in hamburger because it's

(01:30:07):
very very low. Quality uh number Number one it's grass
fad it's not grain fed like our. Beef and, two
it's a different breed of, Catalysts brabin influenced, cattle which
are very tough and stringing so it will lower the
price of, hamburger but it's not going to lower the
prost of those flager this ball or are the strips
or the or the rabbis Or. Texas if we love a,

(01:30:30):
brisket they want one of those those cuts. Two it
creates a bigger problem that we're fighting tooth and. Nail
at LEAST i am Only biden, administruction we became id
go to trade. Deficit merchan has always been the bread
basket of the. World we've raised enough food for ourselves
and a lot of the rest of the. World but
Under biden we have a forty eight billion dollar agg trade.

(01:30:54):
Deficit what that means is we're buying forty eight billion
dollars more food than we're selling and buy More argentine
beef compounds that. Problem there's better, ways so all.

Speaker 2 (01:31:06):
Right, Well i'd be interested to hear what the better
way would. Be it seems like the only better way
would be to raise more. Cattle but there's a lot
of reasons why the cattle level is at it's at
where it's at right now, now the least of which
is the drop we went through just a few short years.

Speaker 15 (01:31:20):
Ago, well the route is a big part of. It
but also during the bib administration they kicked farmers and
ranches off the federal. Land we have twenty four million
idle acres of grazing land that formerly had livestock on.
It so Yesterday Seth Trey bergham announced that he was
going to open those back up to. Grazing so that's a,

(01:31:41):
great great first, step but we can do a lot
more than. That there is a solt banking man we
call IT Crp Conservation Reserve program that private, industry private
farmers and ranchers. Own they put it in prass and
agreed to not farm, it but they don't let the
farmers graze. It so we could open that up for three.

(01:32:01):
Years then we'll have a place for our breeding happers
that we want to retain our. Cows we're in a draft,
again so we need a place to graize our. Cattle
so that would be very. Simple all you have to
do on that one is just open the gate and
let's let the cows. In so that's that's very easy to.
Do to see R pa. That now to rebuild the,
herd we've got to have some. Incentives we have it

(01:32:23):
and sent. It it's a child tax. Credit if you
have kids seventeen and, younger you just take a thousand
bucks right off your, taxes you, know for expense of
raising those. Kids we could do something similar on to
retain breeding. Heppers let's give a tax credit those cow calf.
Operators they're making really good money right. Now they need

(01:32:43):
a tax. Deduction let's give them some credit for holding
some heipers back and increasing our national cow. Herd that's
just almost a no. Brainer now there last the last
name is and this would lower it immediately. Tomorrow the
process that people could come down that are bringing beef
in in a, Box let's bring beef in on the.

(01:33:04):
Hoop and WHAT i mean by, that we have closed
the border To. Mexico we get fifteen percent of our
feeder cattle out of, there and we've got a year's
worth backed up and another year's worth ready to come.
In so we could. Methodical you have to do it very.
Judiciously you can't just throw it wide. Open we would
totally crash the. Market but a very measured. Approach we've

(01:33:24):
got to open that. Border sometimes we can do it
very safely without having any problems of having the screw
worms come. In you announce that we're open the border
To mexican imports. Immediately the price of beef will come.

Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
