Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, I guess you used to. Nicole Parker joins us.
She's a native you Sonian former FBI agent. Welcome to
the show, Nicole, thank you.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
So much for having me. It's great to join y'all.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
It's pleasure. American Thinker did a piece what the FBI
knows about you, and I guess for the sake of time,
I can condense this to say just about everything.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Well, I don't know. It depends on who you are
right the FBI. I have to tell you, I love
being an FBI agent. I was very passionate about it.
I was passionate about the submission. I felt like I
was really making an impact when I was a special
agent working some very important cases for the FBI. But
what I can tell you is that I chose to
walk away from the FBI about two years ago because
(00:47):
the political weaponization just really drowned out the good work
of the good agents. And I was observing, and others
in the FBI were observing what we perceived is use
of power, and really not everyone at the FBI. It
would be an unfair statement. I kind of think of
the FBI as two fbis FBI one I would categorize
(01:10):
as those that have come to uphold the Constitution, protect
the American people who are trying to do the right
thing and serve with honor and integrity. Right at the IQO.
On the other hand, those are individuals who use their
law enforcement power to push their political and social agendas,
and a lot of times they will pick and choose
(01:31):
who they're going to investigate and which cases are going
to open. And in the last several years especially, there
has been a very strong push that the FBI really
seemed to be going hard after conservatives, Republicans, Trump supporters,
while on the other hand, at the iq members, we're
almost turning a blind eye to those on the opposite
(01:53):
end of the political spectrum, you know, turning a blind
eye and not doing full investigations into those that were
more progressive or den or you know, Hunter Biden, things
of that sort. And so there seemed to be a
very big issue because FBI one agents are looking and saying,
why are we not equally enforcing the law right So,
(02:13):
you know, we talked about January sixth. Obviously, the FBI
the dj in particular, it's important for people to know
it's not an FBI problem, it's an FBI and a
DJ problem.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
It's a managing it's a difference between the management and
the rank and FILEW we have very limited time here,
so I want to get to this because this is
very very important. Your thoughts on the nomination of cash Hotel.
First of all, do you think he's the right guy
for the job, And the second of all, do you
think that one person can make the changes necessary to
get the FBI back on mission.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
First of all, I think that he is going to
come in and root out the corruption, and that is
the most important thing. I think the needs to happen first.
And I have full confidence in President Trump and who
he selects and key positions, and so I am absolutely
confident that he will have the ability to come in
there and say, you know what, enough is enough. We're
going to root out the corruption that I just referred
(03:09):
to as FBI two and we're going to hold those
individuals accountable. That's the key. When Christopher Ray came in,
there was little accountability that happened Operation Crossfire Hurricane. There
are still individuals that were involved in that that I,
in my opinion, never had full accountability. So the first
thing is he needs to come in and hold those
accountable with tangible consequences for their corrupt behavior. At the
(03:31):
same time, while you're tearing down the corruption, though, you've
got to keep building up the good agents, right because
you need a followed FBI. Americans deserve that right. So
you've got to build up FBI one, FBI one while
you're taking down FBI two, and that's going to be
the balancing act for cash Ptelo. I am confident. Yeah,
(03:52):
there's a lot of work to do that, I'm telling you.
With the right leadership abilities, I do believe that you
can restore trust in the SA, but it's going to
take time. You know, it's going to take a lot
of time because after what's happened, no one trusts the FBI.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
And I think the same can be said for the
Department of Justice as well. Nicole, we have to leave
it at that. Unfortunately we're out of time. But thank
you so much. Former FBI agent Nicole Parker
