Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's talk to Steve Toath, safe representative and congressional in Canada.
Do you think she deserves to lose her job over that?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
I apologize, Jimmy, you broke up and I didn't hear
anything that you said.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Okay, we haven't a lot of time, but I tried
to refra I'll try to set the scene again. We
have a Chicago you know, the Chicago elementary school teacher
who mocked Charlie Kirk's assassination by putting her finger in
the is a gun and shooting into her neck. Does
she deserve to lose her job or what she did?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I absolutely think she does. Look, we don't send our
kids to school to be indoctrinated. We send them there
to learn reading and writing, arithmetic, to learn stem science, technology, engineering,
math we don't learn. We don't send them there to
indoctrinate them. And this is the major reason why so
many parents are pulling the kids out of the public
schools and are homeschooling them today. Why because their kids

(00:53):
are coming home with different values than what they're sent
to school to learn or to achieve.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
What about the teachers here in Texas. I'm sure every
case is individual, but we have some three hundred and
fifty teachers here in the Great State of Texas who've
also been reported as having mocked Charlie Kirk's assassination. What
should happen minimally? Do you think to teachers who are
doing this.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
It's significantly more than three fifty. The Text Education Agency
is absolutely overwhelmed with complaints from parents as well as
other teachers are complaining and turning teachers in, and it's
significantly more than three fifty. And each of these cases
are going to be are going to be investigated by
the Text Education Agency, and the TA is going to

(01:44):
circle back with local trustee boards and if they feel
like the complaint is egregious and merits removal, then they'll removed.
They'll be removed.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
How long do you think this investigation is going to last?
And if you say it's significantly over three and fifty,
how many complaints are we talking about?

Speaker 2 (02:03):
I have no idea. I just know that from speaking
with Mike Marath, the TA commissioner, that they're overwhelmed with
the number of complaints that are coming in.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
And how egregious are some of these complaints? What are
some of the things these types of teachers are accused
of doing.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Probably the height of it is is is mocking the
death of Charlie Kirk. And and it's not just Charlie Kirk,
it's it's egregious things that are set against Christianity, against God,
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's all sorts of things.
And again, that's not what we send our kids to

(02:39):
school for. And it's not what you and I experienced
when we were When we were kids in school, it
was a it was a neutral learning environment, right, We
weren't taught Democrat or Republican policies and uh and issues.
It was just an opportunity for us to go and learn.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Oh, you're right, we have to get back to that.
Do you trust the tea to take action, to to
follow through on all this?

Speaker 2 (03:02):
We'll see. I do. I look, Mike Marath, I think
is an is is a is an honest player, and
I think he's done a good job. I do. I
trust him, But it's a it's a terribly huge organization
that was run by a Democrat before him, and Mike
is trying to clean it up. I hope, I hope

(03:24):
and pray that he's able to do good job.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
With this all right, thanks Steve. Good to hear from me.
