Good morning everyone, five oh one on kg RH, our
top story this hour.
Speaker 7 (01:36):
I just have a question because I'm not entirely sure
this is Leo to Be's teaching because according to our president,
there's only two genders.
Speaker 6 (01:46):
That was the video that started a firestorm at Texas
A and M, and now university President Mark Welsh is
out stepping down because of it. The video first put
out by State Rep. Ryan Harrison, who posted on x
last night that this is a quote massive victory unquote.
Now Welsh's tenure comes to an end after less than
two years and a threat by Governor Greg Abbott to
(02:09):
fire him earlier this year over sponsoring a DEI conference,
and now the ACLU is suing the state of Texas
over its new law banning DEI and.
Speaker 5 (02:20):
K through twelve public school classrooms.
Speaker 6 (02:23):
Another lawsuit over the state's new congressional maps goes to
court next month.
Speaker 8 (02:28):
Critics of the state's redistricting efforts suggest the Republican's recent

Closer to home, more fireworks at Harris County Commissioner's Court yesterday.
Speaker 10 (03:17):
Commissioner, maybe you should run for judge so you can
run the court you know.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
When we talked about it in twenty eighteen, I should.
Speaker 6 (03:23):
Have Harris County Judge Lena Hidalgo arguing me with Precinct
two Democrat Adrian Garcia. By the way, we did find
out yesterday that fifteen flood prevention projects would close down,
another twenty six put on hold, all because of a
two point five billion dollar budget shortfall. The Court did
(03:43):
not vote on a budget yesterday. That's going to happen
allegedly next week. It's now five oh four. Former White
House Chief of Staff Jeff Zneinz testified for the House
Oversight Committee about Joe Biden's mental decline and said Hunter
Biden was way more involved in big decisions than you realize.
Speaker 11 (04:03):
We believe he was the main user of the AUTOPI.
He also said that Hunter Biden was there at present
in discussing.
Speaker 6 (04:10):
A lot of the pardons Committee chair James Comer with
k T reach as Sean Hannity. One report says Ziins
told the committee that Biden's memory got worse as his
presidency went on. The mainstream media, of course, is ignoring
the auto pen scandal, but they are melting down over
ABC suspension of Jimmy Kimmel, first son Eric Trump told KHS,
(04:31):
Klay Travis and Buck Sexton this may be a turning
point for left wing late night talk shows.
Speaker 12 (04:36):
It clearly shows that the content is not working. People
are no longer amused. It's not funny to make fun
of thirty one year old kis who are getting assassinated,
especially somebody who is as beloved as our friend Charlie.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
And I'm glad they got rid of this choir.
Speaker 6 (04:47):
Kim Ol falsely claimed that Kirk's assassin was Mega, which
led to his suspension. He hasn't been the only one
to lie about Kirk's assassination.
Speaker 5 (04:55):
As soon as.
Speaker 13 (04:55):
Kirk was killed, the left began pushing the narrative that
he was a radical.
Speaker 14 (04:59):
I think on the left anybody that is a firm
and supporter of President Trump, someone who worked to get
President Trump reelected as a mega extremist.
Speaker 13 (05:07):
Tim Graham with the Media Research Center says they've also
lied about the shooter being right wing.
Speaker 14 (05:11):
Somehow he's to the right of Trump. All the evidence
we've seen the testimony of his family. Obviously he did
become not just left but radical left.
Speaker 13 (05:20):
Graham says that people pushing these lines need to be
called out for it, like Jimmy Kimmel. Recently was Ethan
Buchanan News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 6 (05:27):
Thank you Ethan, another show that could very well be
under the microscope the view.
Speaker 15 (05:32):
I think it's worthwhile to have the SCC look into
whether the view and someday of the programs that you
have still qualify as botify news programs and therefore exempt
from the equal opportunity regime that Congress is put in place.
Speaker 6 (05:49):
Brendon Carr with the f SEC on the Scott Jennings
Show House, Republicans blocked an attempt by Democrats by the
Way to subpoena car over the Kimmel affair. This Lieutenant
Governor Dan Patrick recently did an op ed for OX
where he called for Fox rather where he called for
the need to defend religious liberty. Political commentator Matt Locke says,
(06:10):
we need to protect it from the left.
Speaker 16 (06:12):
Religion is counterintuitive to the Democrat position and the liberal
position in this country because if you have a God
that you prayed to, you're not praying to government.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
They've tried to make government god.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
Patrick heads President Trump's Commission on Religious Liberty It's now
five oh six the Houston Texans or in Jacksonville Sunday.
The team off to an zero and to start, but
head coach Jamiko Ryan's refusing to panic for what we're.

I don't want to.
Speaker 17 (06:43):
I'm not in a mode to where hey, it's his
doom and glow like, we're not.

Speaker 19 (07:17):
Russia Radio seven k t RH.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Well, in this surveys to the belief if you have
a gold car, it has depreciated the most because of
the color. It is one of the least popular colors
on the road. But there's something about this study that
doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense because
from iccars dot Com. It's according to twenty twenty three data,
(07:44):
and it shows that the vehicle with the least appreciation
I'm gonna make sure I'm reading this right, bumba bumba bunk. Yeah,
the vehicle with a less least appreciation are the color
orange and green. Twenty four point four percent depreciation for orange,
(08:05):
twenty six point three percent depreciation for green. Does that
mean that orange is a popular color because I don't
see hardly any orange cars on the road, and when
I do, it's usually a sports car. That maybe it's
more about what kind of a vehicle it is versus
what color it is. Beige came in third at twenty
(08:25):
nine point five percent, Red came in fourth to twenty
nine point eight percent, silver, brown, gray, blue, black, white,
and gold having the most depreciation depreciation. White really seems
like white, seems I see more white cars, especially here
in Texas. We have more white vehicles than anything else.
(08:47):
But maybe the reason why we have so many is
people are trying to play it safe with resale value,
so they think that they're getting something that's really neutral,
right that people won't unlike an orange, which is anything
but neutral. And they think that somehow that the vehicle
won't appreciate as much, when in reality it's depreciating more
based on color. That's very strange to me. I know
(09:09):
what colors you have in your garage. I've got I
have to mind are pretty bland. I got a silver vehicle.
We have a silver vehicle, a pewter vehicle, which is
just a dark silver. And then the pickup truck is red,
candy apple red. That's the flashy one five to ten
time for traffic and weather together.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
A pink Cadillac.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
A pink cadillact. You think crush velvet seats. You think,
oh yes, going.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
Down the street.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Do you think that would do you think that would
raise or draw lower in value?
Speaker 5 (09:36):
You could always sell it to somebody who works for
Mary Kay.
Speaker 19 (09:39):
Oh yeah, pink cattle act.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
There we go there, so Terry.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
You know, one time I actually bought a long time ago,
I bought a white truck, thinking, you know, I won't
really stand out. I'll probably not get so many speeding tickets.
Speaker 5 (09:51):
Ha didn't work. That's it.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
For the North Freeway, we cleared Spring Studenter. The wreck
has gone on the inbound it's out of the way.
You can't even tell there was a problem. Twenty two
minutes from the Woodlands into downtown two ninety We're not
really too ninety up from that wreck, but it does
make me nervous. I need to get a better look
at this. This is inbound right at the bell two
right lanes and if I can see from the other side,
if are they about to pull that away or not.
(10:14):
If they don't pull that out of the way, this
will become a scunch. For now, I'm going to put
you on stay the course mode, Katie Freeway Advisors.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
You'll look good.

the center Terryce here, what color vehicle do you drive?
Speaker 20 (10:40):
I have a red car.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
A red car, okay, yeah, Candy Apple red, I do too,
the subminds a truck yeah yeah, okay, all right, whitees
bike redy.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
Why are you trying to be flashy?
Speaker 21 (10:50):
No?
Speaker 5 (10:50):
I didn't pick it.
Speaker 20 (10:51):
Actually, I bought it from my uncle.
Speaker 5 (10:54):
Okay, so he picked it trying to be fushh. Yeah,
I don't know what he was up to. You just
had a good deal, so you did.
Speaker 20 (11:01):
They got a great deal.
Speaker 14 (11:02):
I think.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Okay, we got that figured out. Let's figure out the
forecast for the weekend. What are we thinking.
Speaker 20 (11:08):
I'm thinking it's not looking too bad. I'm thinking we'll
see a little bit more rain every day or so.
Today is only a twenty percent chance of a shower
thunderstorm and temperature's load of mid eighties, but a thirty
percent chance of rain. Tomorrow is sixty percent chance of
rain Sunday, Monday and Tuesday also looking pretty good, like
(11:30):
a fifty to fifty shot of some wet weather. The
impact on the temperatures is minimal. Will be in the
upper eighties to low nineties, most of us in the
low nineties through the weekend.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
And the temperature right now the double check it here
is seventy four at your officials of your weather station.

It's Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New South
Windows Solutions. Now back to Jimmy Barras and the Houston
Morning news team all the info you need to take
on the day.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
So while, while the love continues to argue about free
speech as it relates to Jimmy Kimmel, and it is
very critical of ABC Disney for giving him an indefinite suspension,
the reality of the situation is it wasn't ABC Disney. No,
that's not why Jimmy Kimmel is suspended. He suspended because
of the affiliates. More than that story coming up next.
(12:21):
First though, five twenty. Let's do traffic and weather together
here this guy, Mike.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Let's go to our chip line northwest side seven one

I did not know that.

Speaker 25 (14:07):
What's happening today?
Speaker 4 (14:08):
Happen right, Kimmel?
Speaker 26 (14:10):
What happens?
Speaker 1 (14:11):
The things are happening right here.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
On news Radio seven KTRH for five twenty three. So
time here on Houston's Morning News. All right, So what happened?
What really happened is two very big affiliate groups between
the two of them were talking about hundreds of television
(14:35):
stations or at least close to that number, decided that
they were not going to air Jimmy Kimmel anymore. They're
done with Jimmy Kimmel. Here's a report from Fox's William
Lejarres on what really did end Jimmy Kimmel for some
more context.
Speaker 27 (14:53):
Right, so, you had two of ABC's largest station groups
decide to pull Kimmel's show before ABC actually acted. And
I'll show you where those stations are and why viewers
there don't necessarily share Kimmel's.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
Hard left worldview.
Speaker 27 (15:10):
So we have some video here of Kimmel leaving his
show yesterday in that plaid shirt, black hat.
Speaker 19 (15:16):
You also had.
Speaker 27 (15:16):
Brendan Carr, as you mentioned, chairman of the FCC, slam
Kimmel's remarks.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
So what makes us complicated is.
Speaker 27 (15:22):
The FCC must approve the sale of some of those
ABC affiliates, And what critics say really is happening is
ABC and indirectly the Trump administration is censoring.
Speaker 5 (15:33):
Kimmel to get that sale approved. I feel bad for.
Speaker 11 (15:36):
Siman, I feel bad for the people that work there,
and I feel really bad for our First.
Speaker 19 (15:41):
Amendment rights, which we are at this.
Speaker 5 (15:44):
I'll say something that you don't agree with and then
this happens.
Speaker 27 (15:48):
Others upset include the ACOU, the Actors' Union SAG, after
which said quote, democracy thrives when diverse points of view
are expressed. Well, one place you won't find that is
Jim Kimmel. He's a partisan Democrat and you played what
he said on Monday. Well, the following day, Tuesday, he
compared Trump's greeting for Charlie Kirk as quote, how a
(16:09):
four year old mourns a goldfish? Crazy? Right, And for
accuracy's sake, Tyler Robinson's own mother says her son is politically.
Speaker 5 (16:19):
Left, not mega. He's pro gay and trans rights.
Speaker 27 (16:22):
ABC did not attempt to correct that record, but FCC's
car did.
Speaker 15 (16:26):
To see that America's broadcasters are standing up to sort
of the interest of their community.
Speaker 28 (16:31):
We don't just have this progressive Flai Gras coming out
from New York and Hollywood.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
So no, he.
Speaker 27 (16:36):
Referred to a company called Nextstar right, they are major
owner of ABC stations that said it would preem Kimmel's
program because quote, we do not believe Kimmel's insensitive remarks
reflect the spectrum of opinions, views, or values of our
local communities.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Yeah, it's called community standards. We have community standards. Is
a radio station licensed by the FCC. If I go
on the air and I say something really stupid and
somebody wants to call me on it, or advertisers want
to boycott me, how long am I employed?
Speaker 5 (17:10):
Probably not very long. It's part of the deal. You
have every right.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Freedom of speech means you have every right in your
private life to say whatever you want to. You can
go on social media and you can you can say
all sorts of things that generally will not get you banned.
But you work for an employer and if you do something,
and Jimmy Kimmel did to cause hundreds of affiliates to say,
we're not going to air this show anymore. Now you're
(17:37):
now you're affecting the value of the company. Now you're
affecting advertising revenue. Now you got to go five twenty
six Here on Houston's Morning News. Time to take a
look at your money. Let's check in with Jeff Fellinger,
and good morning Jimmy in the Happy Friday.
Speaker 29 (17:50):
An important conversationist planned for this morning President Trump and
Chinese President.
Speaker 5 (17:55):
She will talk my phone.
Speaker 29 (17:57):
They'll discuss the framework agreement that was worked out early
this week to shift control of TikTok's American operations to
a group of US investors. Tariffs and and Vidio's access
to China are also on the agenda. And Vidia agreed
to make a five billion dollar investment in Intel. The
two companies will work together for chips for personal computers
(18:17):
and data centers. The tex led stocks higher on word
of the Nvidia Intel deal. The Dow, Nasdaq, and S

Speaker 3 (18:51):
It's five thirty here on Houston's Borning News. I'm Jimmy

two hundred and eighth continuing resolution and coming up at

it's gonna be a warm fall. Details in the minutes ahead. First,
(19:11):
we're checking out the drive again. Sky Mike's here.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
Got a better shot here, Jimmy, Let's take two right

York and it's almost closer. I was calling it the Beltway.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
This is a wreck.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
Everybody's okay, thanks for your help on our tip line
seven one three two one two tips. Everybody's getting by
fairly okay. There's a little bit of a skunch, maybe
an extra minute inbound. Let's go ahead and keep staying

the forecast when we talk with Terry Smith. That the

seventy three yet your officials severe weather station News Radio
seven forty k TRH.
Speaker 5 (19:59):
It's time now for the news. Here's Cliffs Onder.
Speaker 6 (20:01):
Hey, Jimmy, it's five thirty one on KGRH. Our top story.
Speaker 30 (20:05):
I'm speaking with President she as you know on Friday,
having to do with TikTok and also trade and we're
very close to deals on all of it.
Speaker 6 (20:13):
President Trump on Fox. That call said for eight o'clock
hour time, and it comes after Trump's visit to the
UK where he made a deal with Prime Minister Keir
Starmer on tech and AI. Overnight trading is mixed this morning,
and the now closed up one hundred and twenty four
points yesterday, hitting a new record high in the process.
Now that's the Wall Street story. The Main Street story
(20:34):
is kind of different. The Fed's interest rate cuts this
week are not going to save you on your credit card.
A new bank rate survey finds the average retail credit
card interest rate is still over thirty percent, with some
cards topping out at thirty six percent. Certified financial planner
Bill Dendy says, if you have one of those cards,
you should avoid carrying a balance.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
They're for paying thirty percent per year. You know, in
two and a half years we could have bought two
of whatever we purcha.
Speaker 31 (21:00):
So we're stealing from ourselves if we use credit in
this way, especially those high interest rates.
Speaker 32 (21:05):
The highest interest retail cards include Academy Sports Sachs and
Victoria's Secret Corey Jolson, who's Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 5 (21:13):
It is now five point thirty three.
Speaker 6 (21:14):
Congress has eleven days to make a deal and avoid
a partial government shutdown. House Speaker Mike Johnson told Fox
he's pushing for a stopgap plan with a more comprehensive
bill coming later on.
Speaker 25 (21:25):
We genuinely just need to buy a little more time
for the appropriator to do their job. I can't understand
how anybody could make a rational argument against that, unless
they're trying to use it for partisan political purposes.
Speaker 6 (21:36):
Meantime, both proposals contain security funding increases for lawmakers. Even
radical Democrats have a voice of reason these days. Yes,
I said that, and it's Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman recently
said that comparing President Trump to Hitler will lead to
more violence. Terry Shilling of the American Principles Project says,
(21:57):
deranged people will take this next level they already have.
Speaker 33 (22:01):
It's amazing that Democrats have still not toned down their
rhetoric accusing Republicans of being Hitler or being fascists. It's
really unfortunate because I think until there's some real leadership
on the Democrats to tone down their rhetoric.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
I think you could see more events like this.
Speaker 6 (22:15):
Unfortunately, he says them leadership needs to stop or this
is going to continue. But they're not stopping. They're leaning
further into things like socialism. Is Chuck Schumer and Akeem
Jeffries endorse socialist zoron Man donni for New York City Mayor.
Speaker 34 (22:31):
Political commentator Andrea Widberg says, this is different.
Speaker 35 (22:36):
What you're seeing now is the breakdown of their collectivism.
They're not wired for that. And it is frying their
circuits and causing division that they've never had to handle before.
Speaker 5 (22:47):
But the Dems will come together as they always do.
Speaker 35 (22:51):
One of the things about Democrats that's always been their
great power is party unity. They are by nature collectivists.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Although she adds that Donnie's loyalty is to Islam.
Speaker 34 (23:03):
Jeff Biggs News Radio seven forty k tiery it is
now five point thirty four.
Speaker 19 (23:07):
The cries of this widow will echo around the world
like a battle cry.
Speaker 6 (23:12):
That was Erica Kirk last week, and as expected, she's
been elected the new CEO of Turning Point USA. Kirk's
memorial is set for Sunday in Arizona. Among the scheduled
speakers are Erica Kirk as well as President Trump and
Vice President jd.
Speaker 5 (23:28):
Vance.
Speaker 28 (23:29):
There is no unity with someone who lies about what
Charlie Kirk said in order to excuse his murder. There
is no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie Kirk's assassination.
Speaker 6 (23:39):
And his celebration of life will be held at State
Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. It's got a capacity of
well over sixty thousand. Meantime, a former Houston Television anchor
leans into faith to deal with Kirk's assassination and the
left is losing its mind.
Speaker 36 (23:57):
In light of the recent heartbreaking news involving Charlie Kirk,
I felt it was important to pause and acknowledge the
weight that so many of us are carrying right now.
Speaker 6 (24:06):
Yeah, that was Dominate Sex on her podcast last week.
She used to work for our TV partner channel Too.
One liberal YouTube comment or said, quote, do you ever
create space for school shooting? How about the children in Gaza?
Immediate unfollow close quote. It's now five thirty six. Sunday
marks the National Day of Remembrance, meant to honor victims
(24:27):
of violent crime across the country and use in Crime
Stoppers will be hosting an event as well.
Speaker 21 (24:33):
From six thirty to eight thirty pm at Crime Stoppers,
we'll be reading the names of all those lives that
were batally taken during the year of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 6 (24:43):

five hundred long. The Astros host the Mariners in a
big series this weekend at dik And Park. Coverage starts

Tomorrow, ut will play sam Houston State at six o'clock
that game on KTRH. LSU play Southeastern Louisiana coverage at
five thirty on Sports Talk seven ninety and Rice is
now three and one on the season after beating Charlotte
twenty eight to seventeen last night. I'm Cliff Saunders on
Houston's news, weather and traffic station, News Radio seven forty
(25:23):
KTRH Direct Information.
Speaker 19 (25:26):
I don't like what's happened the sh in all day.
We have apostle, this is happening in our hometown.
Speaker 5 (25:31):
It's always something.
Speaker 19 (25:32):
Oh as will be used Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
I have thirty at a time here in Houston's boring news. Right,
we're going to talk about not the Bible. We're going
to talk about the Old Farmers Almanac. In this case,
there's two different almanacs, right, there's a Farmer's Almanac and
the old farm Old Farmers Almanac. He's the Old Farmers Almanac,
the older one. Guessing I should know the story behind that.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
I did. I used to know the story behind that.
Maybe I need to look that up.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Anyway, What you're curious about, what I'm always curious about
Why I like looking at it is I like looking
to see what they forecast for the weather they claim
to have and I can't dispute it because I've never
gone into a deep dive to see I mean, they
keep it fairly generic, you know, they don't really get
(26:20):
into you know, day by day. They'll they'll take a
look at a week at a time way out and
try to tell you about what the conditions are going
to be. Like I don't know how close they get
on that, but they claim to have an eighty percent
accuracy rate, which would be pretty amazing for weather forecasting.
There's not a whole lot of people can say they
have an eighty percent you know, track record. But anyway,
(26:43):
here's what they're saying about us for the fall. This
is for the months of October, November, December. They're saying
that it's going to be warm and dry. Now, there's
trend to I've seen a few that are forecasting the
opposite for us, but the assumption is we're gonna have
a lot of Nina winter. So, in fact, I was
on weather dot com. We'll talk to Terry in the second.
(27:05):
But weather dot COM's operated by our friends at the
Weather Channel, and they're forecasting the same thing for a fall,
warm and dry, warmer than normal temperatures and drier than
normal conditions. Now we're not talking about huge swings, but
it's going to generally, we're told, be warmer than it
normally would be. So we're in the warm and dry
(27:25):
sector the old farmers all Night says. Just to our
west though now passo western far western Texas and New
Mexico and maybe even a part of Arizona's could be
a little bit.
Speaker 5 (27:37):
Cooler and drier than normal.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
The coolest weather, at least according to this, is going
to be up around the Great Lakes area, you know, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio,
those states up there and the northeast. So it looks
like there might be this fall there might be kind
of a big discrepancy between the temperatures that they have
in the far northern regions and the temperatures we have here.
Five forty time for traffic and weather it together, we'll
(28:00):
get a second opinion from Terry in a second versus
strip hup to drive your sky Mike O.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
Well, so far it's kind of Friday like on most
of our freeways except to ninety the Northwest Freeway, Little York.
I think they're gonna need to take some extra langeage here.
Speaker 5 (28:12):
This is after the Beltway. It's a wreck. It looks
like everybody's okay.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
We're doing a lot of pointing at stuff now, and
let me see if I can get a backup for you.
Speaker 5 (28:20):
This is backed up from right after five point twenty nine.
Not as bad as it sounds. It's an extra two
minutes and should we stay the course? If you could
do two forty nine or the KDE, do it.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
But if two nineties your normal route, go ahead, you'll
get right by this. And I still think they're going
to get this out of here. Katie Freeway looks good.
Twenty five minutes from Katie Mills in Mission Ben. You
look good coming in on West Park. Nothing doing there.
Southwest Freeway easy, right in from Highway ninety Nord Freeway.
Speaker 5 (28:46):
Dude place guy might get your eye.
Speaker 33 (28:48):
A fool of rock and rolling.
Speaker 5 (28:50):
Gerald from Conrad.
Speaker 14 (28:52):
Edit from Tom Rode the greens Point on the North Freeway.
Speaker 21 (28:55):
We're going so fast and my navigators is I'm gonna
show up for work yesterday here all week.
Speaker 4 (29:01):

Speaker 19 (29:20):

prove uber Micron hit our tip line. Remember we have

Center twenty four. Our Weather's center, Terry is here. Do
you want to give a second opinion on that old
Farmers all the night forecast?
Speaker 20 (29:41):
And what period of time was the forecast.
Speaker 5 (29:44):
For We're talking October November December. Okay, So.
Speaker 20 (29:49):
The Climate Prediction Center, the folks who spend their time
analyzing long range patterns are thinking that it is going
to be rather warm for much of the country in
September and also rather dry, and then looking beyond that,
(30:11):
I'll have to check. I was just looking at September.
We'll have to check out October and the winter months.
The Farmer's Almanac is entertaining.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
They claim to be accurated. Do you buy that.
Speaker 20 (30:27):
I have not studied their accuracy because I find them
more interesting to read than a scientific journal. Understood, Okay,
I know some folks like it. I have friends who
are farmers, and they pay attention to that, So you know,
go right on ahead. I'm more interested in our short
(30:48):
term forecast, and there's not a lot of rain today.
We have a twenty percent chance of a shower thunderstore today,
a thirty percent chance of rain tomorrow, and then a
sixty percent chance of rain Sunday. So chances of rain
increased through the weekend. Warm day today, load of mid nineties,
most of us in the low nineties for the rest
of the weekend and into early next week.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
Right now, seventy three at your official severe weather station,

Speaker 5 (31:15):
What you need to know for the day ahead.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
This is Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New
South Windows Solutions.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
It is five point fifty now here in Houston's Morning News,
so they're still talking about the twenty five bases point
interest rate cut from the FED and how it's not
enough it should have been more, and I'm trying to
figure out what the timeline is for future rate cuts.
A lot more in that story coming up next. First, though,
we've got traffic and weather together, started with you Skyveyke.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
I got a new northwest problem. I mean it's just
right around the corner from our two ninety deal. This
is West sam northbound at Philippine. My work wife, Christina Cruz,
is doing Channel eleven this morning and she just put
that in for me. It's a right line. This is
northbound and the wreck app It's right between the Beltway

(32:35):
we may have a better chance of seeing some rain.
Current temperature is seventy three at your official severe weather station,
News Radio seven forty k TRH said, back to our newsroom,
Cliff Is study vibe with some more of our top stories.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
Thank you, Jimmy Moore.
Speaker 6 (32:50):
Drama at Harris County Commissioner's Court yesterday, the trump for
the man accused of shooting and killing a Houston nine
year old Arlene Alvarez continues. And an asteroid the side
of a skyscraper past Earth yesterday at twenty four thousand
miles an hour.
Speaker 5 (33:04):
Now that's good news. And here's more.

Speaker 5 (33:23):

Speaker 3 (33:26):
Songs nineteen seventy five. You think that maybe we've been
through to some of this stuff before.
Speaker 5 (33:30):
I think so.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Five poin fifty three our time here in Houston's Morning
News A right interest rates Larry Kudlow, who's he's been
a real ball for lowering interest rates more aggressively. On
the show yesterday he had a couple of guests on
talking about Steve Moore, the economist. Steve Moore was one
of those guests, Mark Summerlin also with even Flow Even
(33:55):
Flowed Macro Marketing Partners. That was the other guest talking
about what the FED did and what the FED ought
to be doing.
Speaker 38 (34:03):
Six weeks ago, I was on this show and I
was the first person to say that they should cut
by fifty basis points. And the inversion in the front
end of the curve tells us that the bond market
would have digested that just fine. And yesterday the part
that made no sense is that chair Pal said that
he was doing this for risk management purposes, that he
needed to cut, but then cutting by only twenty five
(34:25):
basis points didn't actually change any of the risk.
Speaker 5 (34:28):
It just wasn't enough.
Speaker 38 (34:29):
And so yes, they should have gone over But more importantly, Larry,
to your porn on housing, they should have stopped selling
mortgages off the balance sheet. That's the part that is
really hurting in the economy right now. What the FED
is doing, which no investor would do, is say we're
going to sell every single month, no matter what the
price is, and we're going to tell you we're going
to keep selling forever. And that's putting making mortgage spreads
(34:52):
go up, and that's the part of the economy that
could have been very targeted. It's just a bad time
to be doing it. There might be other times, or
it's a good time to be doing it's clearly a
bad time to do it, and it shows that the
Fed's not flexible enough to meet the needs of the
economy right now.
Speaker 24 (35:06):
You're seemore the more when Jay Powell, when the FED
announced its raid cut the stock mark going up a lot.
Then j Powell gets center stage and how's this press conference?
And you can plot this. Malpass said this on the set.
It's a great point. The more j Powell talked, the
lower stocks went and the higher bond yields went.
Speaker 19 (35:25):
What do you think that mean?
Speaker 24 (35:26):
I mean, I don't think there's any confidence in this
guy whatsoever. And that's why I think you should have
stepped down months ago.
Speaker 5 (35:32):
He's a donor.
Speaker 23 (35:33):
He's a donory to put forward a dismal forecast on
the economy. I mean, Larry, the economy grew what three
point two percent in the second quarter according to the
Federal Atlanta Reserve Bank. It's growing at over three percent
in the third quarter. And he's talking about the economy
growing at one and a half percent.
Speaker 5 (35:49):
What the hell is he talking about?
Speaker 23 (35:51):
And then the other thing that he does, Larry, and
you touched on this on your show yesterday, but I
want to repeat it because it was such an important point. Okay, look,
I do believe rors probably have a negative effect on
the economy, But look at all the other things that
Trump is doing. Look at the tax cut, Look at
the fact that he's deregulated to economy, saving a billion dollars.
Look at the fact that we have drill, drill, drill,
Look at the fact that we've got the border secure all.
(36:14):
Look at the fact that we got a record stock market.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
For goodness sake.
Speaker 23 (36:17):
What he never brings up these things. He always attacks Trump,
never talks about the things that Trump is doing to
expand the economy.
Speaker 5 (36:24):
This guy has got to go.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
Well he does, and he will be gone next year,
but we're stuck with him until then. It's five fifty six.
Speaker 1 (36:37):

M's president Mark Walch being forced out, and coming up
at six oh eight, why you might want to reconsider
eliminating those spam emails details in the minutes ahead. You're
(37:12):
in Houston's Morning News. First, let's check out that morning
drive a skyline. We got a stall right where we
don't need it.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
This is on the Kadie Freeway, right in the road
construction westbound Taylor Street center lane.
Speaker 5 (37:24):
I can't custom Spanish either.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
Watch out from forty five on the outbound side inbound

Speaker 5 (37:41):

Speaker 19 (37:44):
So I'd hold the force.

From our KTRH tom Tax Defenders twenty four hour weather

we started throwing in a stray shower. Four storm chants
starting tomorrow and Sunday. But we'll let Terry fill you
in on that when we talked to her in nine
minutes right now, seventy four at your officials Severe Weather Station,
News Radio seven forty KTRH. It's time for the news.
(38:13):
Here's Cliff Saunders, Thank you, Jimmy.
Speaker 5 (38:14):
Good morning everyone.
Speaker 6 (38:15):
Six p' oh one on KTRH, our top story this morning.
Still no budget finalized at Harris County Commissioner's Court, but
there was more complaining from the outgoing county Judge Leada Hidalgo.
Speaker 35 (38:27):
It's just totally irresponsible, I think.
Speaker 14 (38:30):
So I'll keep pushing.
Speaker 25 (38:32):
I hope the commune will too, and then I hope
that my colleagues will come to the table and negotiate
before the twenty.
Speaker 6 (38:37):
Fourth Yeah, which is when they'll try to vote on
the plan again. Hidogo also sparred with Adrian Garcia, the
commissioner from pre Stinct two, again yesterday, and we learned
that fifteen flood prevention projects they would be closing down
another twenty six foot on hold, all because of a
two point five billion dollars budget shortfall. Republicans like Tom
(38:59):
Rams do you have pushed to take a closer look
at county spending. Harris County doge this as the state
doze continues to take shape.
Speaker 22 (39:08):
The Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office is the direct result of
legislation passed last session.
Speaker 9 (39:14):
While Texas is widely considered a top state to start
and grow a business, there are improvements that can be made.
Speaker 22 (39:20):
State Senator Phil King of Arlington led the charge. It
was annoulysis week that the office will be led by
a familiar name in conservative circles. Jerome Greener is an
executive at the Texas Public Policy Foundation. One of the
agency's first task is to build a website allowing users
to search state regulations.
Speaker 5 (39:38):
Rex So it's news Radio seven forty KTR and.
Speaker 6 (39:41):
Hugh Rex and then there's Texas A and M President
Mark Welsh, who is resigning effective today, all because of
the video that went viral a teacher throwing a student
out of class for objecting to a lesson on transgender ideology.
Speaker 7 (39:54):
This also very much goes against not only myself, but
a lot of people's religious blos.
Speaker 6 (40:00):
Please that video first posted online by State Rep. Brian Harrison,
who will join Jimmy at seven twenty more issues in
college station. According to Texas Scorecard, an A and M
sociology course has been found to promote racial division. And
then there's Texas State in San Marcos, an LGBT course
removed from the catalog after pushback from the state legislature
(40:23):
and then more legislative legal action as a lawsuit against
the new state congressional maps moves ahead next month. Critics
of the redistricting effort suggest that Republicans recent games with
Latinos are simply a blip on the radar and shouldn't
be used for wholesale changes. Conservatives say that's just dead wrong.
Speaker 24 (40:43):
If you look in Texas all along the border, there's
a couple of towns that did elect their first Republican.
Speaker 6 (40:51):
Mayor, Maria Espinoza with the Remembrance project, And then there's
this the DOJ is investigating Austin the city government over
what it believes our DEI practice is.
Speaker 10 (41:03):
In a letter sent to Mayor Kirk Watson's office, the
DJ noted the city's Office of Equity and Inclusions Equity
Division on its website. The division says it works with
all departments to build capacity and leadership through a racial
equity lens.
Speaker 19 (41:17):
The Justices Civil.
Speaker 10 (41:18):
Rights Division says quote, such practices are illegal and an American.
Speaker 5 (41:22):
Fox is Jenna King at the State Capitol. It's now
six ZHO four.
Speaker 6 (41:25):
We're finding out even more about how bad Joe Biden's
border disaster was. Hundreds of thousands of children remain missing
after crossing the border during his time in office.
Speaker 39 (41:36):
Over seventeen hundred children under the age of fourteen we
released to unvetted sponsors with no home study.
Speaker 5 (41:43):
I mean, I don't know what the hell Biden administration
was thinking borders.
Speaker 6 (41:46):
Our Tom Holman told Fox they have found twenty five
thousand of the three hundred and twenty thousand that are
unaccounted for. Unfortunately, twenty seven are confirmed dead. Former White
House Chief of Staff Jeff Zneitz told the House Oversight
Committee that he noticed former President Joe Biden's cognitive health
was slipping, and it gets worse from there.
Speaker 11 (42:06):
It was very obvious that Joe Biden was in middle decline,
and it's very obvious that his staff was behind the
excessive use of the autopen and I think that puts
the pardons and executive orders in deep legal jeopardy.
Speaker 6 (42:18):
Committee Chair James Comer with KGRHS Sean Hennity. Now, Democrats
don't want to talk about the missing kids, they don't
want to talk about crime, they don't want to talk
about auto pen They'd rather freak out over Jimmy Kimmel
getting suspended.
Speaker 29 (42:31):
That's one of the most outrageous affronts on this This
is North Korea style stop.
Speaker 6 (42:35):
Tim Walls on MSNBC last night. Meantime, the mainstream media
is still pushing back about Charlie Kirk lies to be exact.
Speaker 5 (42:43):
The question is how does the right fight back.
Speaker 14 (42:47):
Twitter accounts that have ninety nine followers aren't going to
see whatever they want and get kicks out of it.
We have to start with the people who think that
they're the most influential and important people in America and
say you're lying to the public.
Speaker 6 (43:00):
Tim Graham with the Media Research Center. The left's reaction
to Kirk's death served as a great reminder of the
importance of religious liberty.
Speaker 34 (43:08):
It's something that Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick wrote an op
ed about for Fox.
Speaker 5 (43:12):
Political commentator Matt Locke agrees.
Speaker 16 (43:15):
It's been misconstrued over years to be no, no, no,
religion shouldn't be anywhere near government.
Speaker 14 (43:19):
No.
Speaker 16 (43:19):
Government shouldn't be anywhere near religion.
Speaker 34 (43:22):
And that means no religious persecution from the government, and.
Speaker 16 (43:26):
They shouldn't be anywhere telling you how to worship. And
it's nice to see leaders say that and go, hey,
let's clarify this and let's just make it so it's
not something that people can.
Speaker 34 (43:34):
Politically attack, something Lieutenant Governor Patrick is working on as
part of Trump's Religious Liberty Commission.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
Houston's Morning News continues with Jimmy Barrett and the Houston
Morning News Team.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
I'm not talking about the hamm and the can. I'm
talking about email spam. You have a lot of providers
now and email clients offer an easy way to unsubscribe
from unwanted advertising emails, newsletters and that kind of stuff
with a quick click directly to inbox type of function.
We are told, however, and that's why I'm passing this along,
(44:38):
that you may not want to use it. Instead of
using the function, you might want to delete it yourself,
rather than having it automatically deleted. Because evidently, however well
intentioned this function is, it also harbors a danger, at
least according to this story, at least in the case
(44:59):
of fraudulent message. It's because you inadvertently inform the sender
that your email address actually exist and it's actively managed.
Spam crooks send millions of emails every day, sometimes indiscriminately
to randomly generated recipient addresses. They are often unaware of
whether the accounts they write to really exist or whether
(45:20):
the messages are read there until a user clicks on
the unsubscribed button. The scammers then receive a request to
stop writing to the email addressing question, whereupon, of course,
they do exactly the opposite. So getting rid of spam
is like getting rid of robo calls. It is virtually impossible.
(45:45):
Even if you're on a do not what do not
write list, or on a on a do not call list,
they still do.
Speaker 5 (45:53):
It, don't.
Speaker 3 (45:54):
I don't bother with that anymore. I've been getting calls
from all over the country lately, New York and Flow.
I'm not sure what I did that had my phone
number connected to it, but I mean getting, you know,
all these robo calls, and I just, you know, I
just I just block them as quickly as I can.
In most cases, they just go on to a different
(46:15):
number and they call back again that and they're unrelenting.
They call for not just for a few weeks, they
call for months, and they just keep calling. And so
if I see any phone number pop up, I've programmed
every phone number that's legitimate in my life to come
up with a name or a business name. If it's
IF IF IF, if it doesn't have that, the phone
(46:37):
does not get answered. So if you if you ever
have acasion to call me for whatever reason and I
don't recognize your number, Assume that's why I didn't answer
the phone, and be sure to leave a voicemail six
ten times for traffic and weather together sky Mike, what
you got going on in your world?
Speaker 5 (46:52):

Yet do you hear that verbiage? She gets more than
a bananaster. I want to send her to the iHeartRadio

Yeah, well she could go a fruit basket. You know

Speaker 3 (48:05):
From our KTRH top tax Defenders twenty four our weather center,
Terry Smith is here.
Speaker 5 (48:10):
Forecast looks good.
Speaker 20 (48:12):
Yeah, the forecast looks pretty good. We got a little
bit of rain, better chance of rain toward the end
of the weekend, so plan accordingly. Today I think will
be pretty similar to yesterday. Twenty percent chance of shower thunderstorm.
That's it load to mid nineties today, thirty percent chance
of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow, and it's sixty percent chance
(48:35):
of more rain on Sunday. We still have a fifty
to fifty shot of showers and storms. Monday and Tuesday.
Temperatures will be for the most part low nineties for
the weekend into early next week.
Speaker 3 (48:47):
TEPING, you're right now seventy four at your official severe
weather station, News Radio seven forty ktrh.
Speaker 2 (48:54):
Use traffic and Weather. You're starting your day right with
Houston's morning News. Bronti by New South Windows Solutions six
twenty is their time here in Houston's barning News.
Speaker 5 (49:04):
It turns out that.
Speaker 3 (49:06):
It's not just Jimmy Kimmel who has been going on
the air and making a claim that the Utah shooter,
who I like to remain as nameless as possible, the
Utah shooter was maga or conservative or whatever the case
may be, and that we don't know what the motive is.
CNN said, well, we don't know what the motive is. DS,
(49:29):
we don't know what the motive was. Tim Gramble joined us,
executive editor of the MRC NewsBusters. We'll talk about this
next first, though, traffic and weather together. Here's sky Mike.
Speaker 4 (49:38):
Katie Freeway outbound, not inbound Taylor Street.
Speaker 5 (49:41):
That's a stall. It's right where you don't need it.
Speaker 4 (49:43):
It's in the text wall of death right in those
little skinny lanes outbound.
Speaker 5 (49:47):

Speaker 4 (49:49):

Speaker 3 (49:54):
From Mark kat I right, Top tax Defenders twenty four
hour Weather center for today, We're looking at well, mainly Sonny,
but there is about a twenty percent chance but pop
up shower storm this afternoon, thirty percent chance tomorrow, sixty
percent chance on Sunday. So Sunday's looking like the best
chance for seeing some rain around here, at least more
widespread rain. Current temperature seventy three at your official severe
(50:16):
weather station. News Radio seven forty KTRH. We're checking out
some more of our top stories on a Friday morning.
Here's Cliff, Thank.
Speaker 10 (50:23):
You, Jimmy.
Speaker 6 (50:23):
According to Axios and don't laugh, aoc IS reporting is
considering rather a run for president in twenty.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
Twenty eight, told you not to last. It's a giggle.
Speaker 6 (50:34):
A Fort Bend County realtor sues County Judge KP. George
over what she claims was a free speech violation. She
wants him taken out of office, and on this day
in nineteen ninety five, Jimmy, the Unibomber Manifesto was published
at the latest news anytime at KTRH dot com.
Speaker 5 (50:51):
Our next update is at six thirty.
Speaker 19 (50:54):
This is for your information everything we do. The latest
information on is FYI, guys in the Russian some Arabs
and trade Radio seven k t r H.
Speaker 3 (51:06):
Six twenty two. Our time here in Houston's morning news. Right,
Tim Graham is with this executive editor of MRC NewsBusters.
So it's not just Jimmy Kimmel.
Speaker 5 (51:13):
Huh.
Speaker 3 (51:14):
Now, we've got this podcast done by a couple of
couple of clowns that work for the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper,
who are also making the claim that the Utah shooter
was a conservative.
Speaker 14 (51:27):
It is crazy. It's crazy on its face. Why would
a Trump fan shoot Charlie Kirk?
Speaker 5 (51:33):
They wouldn't, so, I mean, yeah.
Speaker 14 (51:39):
I mean it's sort of like, you know, uh, Dorothy
strangled the scarecrow.
Speaker 3 (51:44):
What exactly? Well, yeah, clearly they're they're playing to a
certain audience. Do they believe somehow deep inside that the
propaganda that they're trying to give us works.
Speaker 14 (51:58):
Well, that's it's rather shameless. It's shameless, it's reckless, and
it's dramatically insensitive. You know, half of the country is
morning this at least half the country. You know, this
is sadly the way that these stories develop. We start
by being shocked and horrified by it, and after about
(52:20):
forty eight hours, then suddenly it becomes well.
Speaker 5 (52:23):
You're lying about it.
Speaker 14 (52:24):
You know, why would you lie about it? I mean,
it's but you know, this is the whole problem is
that it became obvious pretty clearly once they nabbed the
shooter and he has bullet casings that say catch this.
Speaker 5 (52:37):
Fascist or whatever.
Speaker 14 (52:39):
Everybody could figure out where this guy was coming from.
And yet these people are utterly in denial. They're either
sort of in this confusing middle where they're like, well,
we don't know, we have no idea, we haven't figured
out yet what he is, when it's quite obvious. And
then of course, when they had this press conference and
(53:00):
laid it out, which should be obvious to everyone, and.
Speaker 3 (53:04):
You would have thought the trans boyfriend would have been
enough to make you go, Okay, I can't really get
away with lying about this. Dude's got a trans boyfriend.
Speaker 14 (53:13):
Well, and then you know, we had this bizarre thing
where ABC's Matt Gutman said it was very touching the
text he spent yeah, and he sort of turned it
into a romance novel of I Must Protect You, My Love.
Charlie Kirk wasn't threatening anyone's.
Speaker 5 (53:29):
Life, you know.
Speaker 14 (53:31):
It's just the way that these people take an event
that was so shocking and send it into some crazy kaleidoscope.
Speaker 5 (53:41):
I just don't get it.
Speaker 3 (53:42):
Well, I don't pretend to get it either, But it
continues to him, and it obviously it will continue. The
thing I find the interesting is sort of the progression
on the on the progressive far left here. They they've
gone from, you know before, especially in the mainstream media,
if they didn't like something, they just wouldn't report it.
I guess this story was so bad they couldn't figure
out how. They just wouldn't report it.
Speaker 14 (54:04):
Well, And in the case of Kimmel being suspended, it
sort of fits the kind of story they love because
this is the way they're doing it. It's not Jimmy
Kimmel shamelessly lies. It's Donald Trump fired Jimmy Kimmel. That's
the way that they've created it. And so they're going
to talk about this. They're obsessing, the cable networks are
(54:25):
obsessing over this, Like Jimmy Kimmel was murdered it's really bizarre.
Speaker 5 (54:32):
But they all have this self righteous thing.
Speaker 14 (54:34):
About, oh, the authoritarian playbook, fascism descends, and when you
give them grist for that, they're going to do that
twenty four to seven.
Speaker 3 (54:43):
Well, and they're all worried about their own jobs. But
at the end of the day, it really wasn't ABC
Disney that fired Jimmy Kimmel. It was the affiliates. There
was a mass exodus of affiliates who said we're not
going to air the show. They weren't given the choice.
If there hadn't been this big affiliate mutiny, if you will,
I don't know that ABC Disney would have done a
(55:03):
dog one thing.
Speaker 14 (55:03):
About it, right, because he's been doing this for ten
years now. You know, as our president David Bozell mentioned yesterday,
the real firing offense could have been him saying during
COVID that if there's any problem about who to admit
at the emergency room, the vaccinated can come right in
(55:25):
and the unvaccinated can go die.
Speaker 5 (55:28):
See a wheezy.
Speaker 14 (55:31):
You know, that's the kind of statement that should be
beyond the pale. But you know ABC didn't touch him then,
I mean, you're right, obviously when a big chunk of stations.
The next Star stations and the Sinclair stations say we're
not going to air this crap anymore. They didn't really
have much of a choice. Yeah, you're right about that.
Speaker 3 (55:53):
Pleasure to talk to you, Tim, Thanks for your time
this morning. I sure do appreciate it. Executive editor of
MRC NewsBusters. That's Tim Graham six twenty seven. Time to

team houston's morning news seven thirty seven Our Time Here.
Speaker 3 (01:41:42):
In, houston's morning news yo you can be as loud as.
You want to be you can say whatever you. Want
to to say but here's the difference between freedom of
speech and freedom of. Speech in the workplace freedom and
speech gives you the ability to say whatever you want
at any. Time to any one pretty much of a
speech in the workplace only works as long as you're
(01:42:05):
not embarrassing your employer or. Costing your employer money. It's
a private entity they do not have to recognize your
freedom of, speech in public. Yes in private no and
That's What. Happened, to jimmy kimmel now he lost HIS Job,
not because abc disney at, least in MY Belief not
because abc disney, wanted to fire him or that they didn't,
(01:42:29):
agree with the speech that they have plenty of things
on the air on their network that are Just As bad.
As jimmy kimmel plenty but what happened. Was their affiliates
revolted they decided. To have a mutiny they decided that
they weren't going to. Air the show anymore and when
you have two of your biggest affiliate members that hundreds
of television stations around the country say they won't, air
(01:42:52):
your program anymore then you're. Dead In The water here's
joe concha reminding.
Speaker 45 (01:42:57):
Us all of this you, were representing a brand and
when that brand is toxic In The, Case Of Jimmy Kimmel,
love me kimmel live then that employer has A right
to say i don't want to pay you. Fifteen million
dollars anymore, and, When People say well jimmy kimmel's speech,
has been taken. Away no it hasn't he could start
A Podcast just Like Don lemon And Joy reid and
jim acosta have from his kitchen and. Say whatever he
(01:43:19):
wants but this was a Last, Straw, moment FOR, disney
liz for.
Speaker 5 (01:43:23):
Abc for those Affiliates.
Speaker 45 (01:43:25):
Next door in sinclair this was such a disgusting lie
about the shooter of a father, of two, young children
a husband the only son of.
Speaker 19 (01:43:32):
A mom and dad.
Speaker 5 (01:43:33):
Here Are the questions was Kimmel?
Speaker 43 (01:43:35):
Losing?
Speaker 5 (01:43:35):
Millions For disney yeah was?
Speaker 1 (01:43:37):
Kimmel?
Speaker 45 (01:43:37):
A pr nightmare Yeah where Affiliates Like sinclair and next
star Finally fed up after Kimmel blatantly. Lied, About charlie
shooter yes so, from a business perspective this was a
no brainer, because think about it it's.
Speaker 5 (01:43:49):
Not about free speech this is about the free.
Speaker 45 (01:43:51):
Market supply and Demand the supply in, kimmel's case was
toxic the demand. Was almost non existent you showed the
ratings there before A Very distant oftentimes greg gutfel would
double and triple his audience despite having like. One twentieth
the resources so this is how you become a. Next
late night host and FOR, THOSE other networks cnn Msnbc
and all these democrats saying that this is an, attack
(01:44:13):
on free speech you clearly don't know how capitalism works.
And how Branding, works and for disney you can't have
a person like that who is almost subhuman in the
things that he, said over the years, wishing death, on
people for example that, didn't get the vaccine said that,
in twenty twenty One Wished death on mike pence after, he,
got the vaccine.
Speaker 5 (01:44:31):
Says just drink chlorox.
Speaker 45 (01:44:32):
And call to day and this Is Someone who Mocked
president trump on wednesday and not, also when he said
this is not how an adult grieves the murder of.
Speaker 5 (01:44:39):
Somebody called a friend this is how a four year.
Old mourns a goldfish.
Speaker 45 (01:44:43):
That's utterly Vile to say that trump was mourning his
friend and he Mocks THAT. Again to, steven a smith's,
point where's the Joke because you know i'm not seeing.
Speaker 5 (01:44:52):
It, or hearing it yeah there's.
Speaker 3 (01:44:53):
No, jokes involved here oh the protesting has already begun
on the Progressive Left though for jimmy, kimmel in a,
lot you know what a lot, of this sign say.
THIS is what's laughable a, lot, Of Signs say uh
jimmy kimball. Didn't say anything wrong seven forty time for,

on what do you think is GOING to happen with the?
Fed and, future right cuts, you.
Speaker 39 (01:49:48):
Know the, big question as you noted was whether a
majority of the committee would write down two more cuts this.
Year Or just one more the september, projections, are kind
of weird. Right because it's calend based you're writing down
really what you think you're going to do. At the
next two meetings So it was significant that powell had
a majority writing down cuts consecutive cuts here. At the
(01:50:11):
LAST two meetings and what I found most interesting from powell's,
remarks in the, press, conference he was asked well if
the labor market's slowing and, that's why you're doing this
why are twenty five basis? Points really going to matter
and he said he sort of accepted the. Premise that,
they wouldn't matter he said what really matters is the
path that, the market is priced in and we. Are
(01:50:33):
validating that path essentially so he went further than he
had to there by blessing the Markets pricing For. Cuts
in october and december he called, it a risk management cut.
Which the, market didn't like but frankly if the economy
does not look like it's, outright going into a recession
then that is the reason that.
Speaker 5 (01:50:54):
You would cut interest rates it's a risk.
Speaker 39 (01:50:56):
Management exercise because you want to make sure the economy.
Speaker 3 (01:50:59):
Doesn't go into, a recession by the, way the two
Last meetings there's, one in october next Month. And there's
one in December, there's not one in november and those
will be The next opportunities for. The, fed, to cut
rates listen. Y'all have a Great weekend, i'll see you,
