Flashback to last week in Harris County, Judge Lena Hidalgo's antics,
which he still hasn't apologized for. He's back in Commissioner's
Court this morning, after daring opponents to challenger she's just
the latest Democrat to use kids as a political prop
The trend is being called out with Americans demanding children
be taught critical thinking and not indoctrination.

There's a lot of good alternative media that Rod's and
polks ad a lot of different political ideologies and promotes
free thinking. But we always encourage students to question it,
challenge ideas.

Trent and Rippy with the Young Americans for Liberty says
this has become a problem in schools because of teachers' unions,
and it's up to parents to end it. In Austin,
there's a new report saying now that there is no
timeline for Texas Democrats to return to work. When they do,
Governor Greg Abbott says, they'll have some problems.

They were promised money if they did break quorum, that
would be a bribe that could lead to a felony charge,
and so that also is something that the Texas Attorney
in General is investigating.

where rejects Attorney Ken Paxton's petition to have Texas Democrats
hiding out in that state arrested. Lawmakers are moving on
to the Harris County Flood Control District and making a

well wisely, and some of these projects have not even

times in a single day.

These cable networks are saying that they just providing the facts,
and then when you show the supposed facts they're using
are in dispute, they can't even acknowledge there's an actual dispute.
And the pomical thing about all of this is for
them to try to say the violent crime problem has

A DC police official was suspended this year at one
point for manipulating crime data to make DC appear safer
than it actually is.

A handful of school districts start the new year today,
including Dickinson, Montgomery, and Pasadena ISDS for the second straight time.
For the second time this week, a Cleveland ISD School
bus overturned. There were fifty eight kids on board, all
taken to the hospital. Sixteen had minor injuries. Parents want answers.

that having friends costs money because they're always wining to
go places and do things that you otherwise wouldn't go
out and do, to the tune of an average of

your average gen z Or millennial will spend hanging out
with friends on the average month, two hundred and fifty
dollars money spent on brunches, dinners, bar nights, and general hanks.
And I'm thinking to myself, knowing you know how much
it costs to go to these places these days, you
know that sounds probably about right. Two hundred and fifty bucks,

that sounds about right. So if you want to save
money and gen z Or some money or so finding
out that you know, spending that kind of money on
friends every month actually kind of prevents them from doing
some of the other things they want to do. Forty
four percent of them have skipped a major event with
friends because it costs too much one enforce a social
spending makes it hard to save any money. That's probably

the bigger problem if you're spending everything you've got. I mean,
it's fun to hang out. I get that it's fun
to go out to eat, but at some point in time,
you got to put some money away. Uh pressure too
much though. For younger adults, twenty four percent said they
feel left out if they couldn't do what their friends
were doing because they couldn't afford it. Ah see, and
that's how the charge cards could run up, because you

don't want to deny yourself the opportunity to hang out
with your friends or to do the things that you
want to do. Good news is that I guess everybody's
pretty much in the same boat. Five to ten die

It looks like it's going to graze the Mexican coastline,
not going to develop, but what it is going to
do is increase some of the moisture ahead of it,
and that includes Texas, and so that may have some
impact on our rain.

We still have rain in the forecast through the weekend.

We may see the rip currents kick up this weekend,
the waves a little bit higher as well, but it's
minimal airin still a tropical storm, and still not overly
impressive as a tropical storm at the moment.

Fifty mile an hour winds.

That's going to be hurricane here in the next couple
of days, likely a major hurricane, but still indications are
it's going to remain over the open waters of the
Atlantic and eventually move northward.

this over the water and staying away from the United

is the district is Now Controlled By Harris. County commissioner's
court and even though voters approved that two point five

harvey the county's fallen very far behind and, completing the
projects and it's now reporting a funding shortfall of at

least one point three, four billion dollars and they're so
far behind that they're now running the risk of losing
out on huntmatching funds that Were Appropriated. After hurricane harvey
they're also really concerned about what appears to be a politicization.
Of mitigation projects so, under the yeah they've got this

prioritization Framework that the Democrats Developed Under County, judge lina
hidalgo and what it does is it gives extra weight
to areas that have more low income residents. And minority
populations and what's happened is they prioritize those projects that
are in those areas and not necessarily the ones that,

there's a huge rainfall and they're in desperate need of
some more. Drainage projects there but out of that two
point five billion, dollars bond referendum the county has only
spent a very minimal amount on projects. In that area
