Speaker 1 (00:00):
Seven, twenty three, our time here in Houston's Foreign news.
You know, songs old when there's not only a reference
for a payphone, but it only costs a dime. Yeah
at the this, Yeah, that doesn't exist anymore, does it.
That is Cleveland' whether it's Tarrell County Sheriff. I find
this fascinating. Margan Latrell is proposing a federal law that
would allow the execution of the illegal aliens who commit
(00:23):
murder in all fifty states. There's just a handful, I mean,
like sixteen cases that could be anywhere near comparable where
federal charges have been brought. But it's a federal crime
to be here illegally. So does this make sense to
do you think?
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Hey, mort Jimmy Choy is great to be on with you,
and I do think it's a It's something it would
be beneficial to Americans, and not because I'm some far right,
you know person that thinks, you know, we ought to
just kill people that are here legally. Look, I've worked
the border for twenty six years in my well almost
really now thirty years years as a share of twenty
(01:00):
six years as a border patrol agent and a lifelong
resident and Unfortunately, we saw the last four years, by
just the opening of our borders, some really bad people
came in.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Jimmy, No, you're right about that. In fact, let me
share a quote with you from Senator John Cornyan, and
I think we know he's not far right, but he
stretched the imagination.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Sure.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
He said, violent predators who enter our country illegally and
brutally murdered American citizens should be subject to the death
penalties and consequence of their inness actions. So there's a
guy who's firmly down in the middle on just about
everything who thinks that's an appropriate thing to do.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Well. I will preface that with it is an election
time coming up. But good boy, but I do agree
with that with that statement.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
I do.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
And again, you know, hey, the vast majority of people
across their borders again haven't been along the border of
my entire life. Are no different than me or you.
And when we continue to encounter out here in Tarill County,
you know, we don't encounter what we saw the last
four years down in South Texas or other parts of
the nation. We saw people that want to enter to
the United States undetected eggally, and when we encounter them,
(02:01):
they run doesn't mean they're any worse. But to get
back to the topic at hand, Look, many many Americans
have suffered, not just from those murders and what the
fitnel poisonings, you know, and and ensuring that that's the
crime that someone's going to be penalized or punished for,
and especially if you're working for the cartels. We have
MS thirteen, we have the friend that Aragua, and these
(02:22):
people you can't rehabilitate them. They are some of the worst.
Is the worst equally equals to the cartels. I mean,
I've seen some some things that go on in Mexico, pictures,
photos of how brutal they are, and you just can't
rehabilitate them.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah. Yeah, And do we care that it's not necessarily
deterrent because quite frankly, it's not about deterrence at this point, right,
it's a it's about appropriate punishment. It's about taking dangerous
people and making them go away.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
I agree, And I don't think it will be a
deterrent because once once you're in that mindset and again
into like I mentioned, you know, you can't be rehabilitated.
I mean, these people are. It's it's bad and uh
and again. Hey, I'm a I'm a god fearing Christian.
You know, I love mankind. I do my job very compassionately.
But but there are some people out here that are
looking to come to America and and do some bad
(03:09):
things and and unfortunately Americans sometimes are are the ones
that suffer. And and they surely don't. They surely don't.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
All right, sir, Thanks as always, good to talk to you,
