top stories this f are the California curfew didn't do
anything to stop another night of protesting. Who's behind the
No Kings Saturday protest here in Houston and coming up
at five oh eight. If you burn the American flag,
should you go to jail? Details in the minutes ahead.

More Anshi ice riots in Los Angeles. It finally led
to a curve a few days after it would have helped.

Speaker 8 (02:02):
It's really been a running battle between police and the
protesters throughout the day, and there has been incidents of violence.
We heard several smaller explosions, fireworks were fired by the
protesters at the National Guard members. Flashbags were used in
retaliation by the soldiers and a number of pepper balls
that not only the weapon had been fired as well.

We also had protests in blue cities like Chicago, Atlanta,
and New York. California Governor Gavin Newsom caught lying claiming
that he never spoke to President Trump last week when
the riots broke out. The President whipped out his call
log showing a sixteen minute phone call between the two.
And we're finding out more about the violence that took

place in Austin this week, where four cops were injured
in anti ice demonstrations on Monday night.

All officers have been released from the hospital and treated
for their injuries. Three officers were injured by rocks being
thrown at the crowd, and these were long, very large.

Rocks, Police Chief Lisa Davis. More than a dozen people
were arrested. Five vo three cities, including Houston, are concerned
about Saturday's plan protest organized by the No Kings movement,
which just happens to be tied to the American Federation
of Teachers.

So why are the teachers unions involved in these massive
anti ICE protests.

They don't care about education. They're indoctrinators that are just
trying to inject politics into the classroom.

They're activist.

Coridangelis with the American Culture Products says they also have
something to gain from open borders.

They financially benefit because the teachers unions get funded based
on the number of students in the schools. You have
fewer immigrants in those schools, they'll get less money.

He says, this is a clear example of the teachers'

Ag Aintime Governor Greg Gabbott says the Texas National Guard
will be deployed on Saturday.

Texas are law enforcement officers are on the front lines

Law and order state, adding that Texas quote will not
tolerate the kind of lawlessness we've seen in Los Angeles.
At least three arrests were made by ICE at Immigration
court in Houston, and the left is outraged that ICE
is doing this, But that's for safety reasons and it's
been standard procedure for years.

It's safer for the individual there trying to pick up,
and certainly safer for the ICE agents. There's no reason
why ICE should be excluded from a public venue like
a courthouse.

Ira Melan with the Federation for American Immigration Reform says
many times the people that are being arrested in these
cases are defendants in other criminal cases and should be
a top priority for removal.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegsith on Capitol Hill. The President himself
was in Fort Bragg announcing that he'll be changing the
names of military bases back to their original ones, honoring
Confederate generals and troops.

they've already ruled on this burning the American flag is
legal in the United States. Don't say you have to
like it, don't say you have to support it, just
telling you it's a legal form of protest. Supreme Court
ruling the flag burning is a form of symbolic speech

protected by the First Amendment, so that being the case,
could be pretty tough to ban. But if you were
making the rules, and this is my question of the day,
what do you think would be appropriate punishment for burning
the American flag? Or should it not be punished at all?
Is it just again, a symbol of free speech that
you may not like, but it's free speech nonetheless, or
