Morris Services Studios.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Good morning, five AM.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
As we get started to hear this morning on Houston's
Morning News, I'm Jimmy Barrett. Among our top stories, this
fur who is this guy who shot up that Dallas
ice facility? Left blames guns while the right blames rhetoric,
and coming with five oh W eight Triple A says
ninety six percent of us are aggressive drivers. Details in
the minutes ahead. You're on Houston's Morning Liberal. First, let's

(00:42):
check out the Morning Drive for the first time. Skylike
is here, dude.

Speaker 5 (00:45):
I'm just looking around now. North side here Hardytail Roads southbound.
It's a stall. It's a right lane, but it's kind
of a sticky spot, and it's right after.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
You do right after you get past Grand Parkway. I
want you to watch out.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
I did notice they've got some nice new lives on
the Hardy Tour World. So that's good to actually be
able to see what's in the road. West Sam southbound
at two ninety. That's a heavy truck. Are you a
wreck or a stall. You're a stall. Okay, I see
you there, right lane southbound West Sam right after Philippine.
Let's watch out if you're heading for the Little York
Toll Plaza, and there's plenty of hubbub going on there,

(01:18):
so I don't think you're going to miss that Southwest Freeway.
We got more southbound Fountain View. Oh, look out, this
is wrecked two right lanes. The flashy lights all over
the place. That sure looks like has Matt. It's not
a big backup because it's early, but look out when
you're hitting the loop southbound on the Southwest Freeway. Skymike
in THEUSA RV Resorts dot Com Traffic Center.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
From r KTRH top Pats Defenders twenty four hour weather
center for today party Claudia Skies with a high temperature

News Radio seven forty k t RH.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
It's time now for the news.

Speaker 6 (01:56):
Here's Eric Sharp, Good Morning five two on news radio
seven forty KTRHR. Top story this hour, the FBI confirms
two detainees were killed another injured in a targeted attack
on an ICE facility in Dallas yesterday. ICE Deputy director
Madison Sheehan says it could have been much worse.

Speaker 7 (02:15):
What we do know so far is that the shooter
was firing indiscriminately throughout the whole building, and so the
shooter was at a building nearby and shooting directly into
the building, going across the entire length of the building.

Speaker 6 (02:30):
The shooter, identified as a twenty nine year old man,
was found dead from a self inflicted gunshot wounded a
nearby apartment building. Governor Greg Abbott telling Fox News he's
concerned about the increasing number of incidents of political violence.

Speaker 8 (02:42):
This is not the first time that the first time
was having across the United States, and so we have
a serious broblem across this country.

Speaker 6 (02:50):
Anti ICE messages were found written on the bullet casings.
The FBI is investigating the incident as a targeted attack,
and DHS says that it will immediately late ramp up
security nationwide. The left blaming guns after every tragedy while
glossing over the real issues.

Speaker 9 (03:08):
That issue, in many cases is a national mental health
crisis that has yet to be addressed many of these.

Speaker 10 (03:13):
People because not all of them are suffering from a
deep mental psychotic issue that's causing them to do what
they're doing. This elephant in the room needs to be addressed.

Speaker 9 (03:21):
That's former HBD Captain doctor Greg Freman. He says failure
to prosecute these criminals isn't helping either.

Speaker 10 (03:26):
In far or less leading states, they believe all offenders
are redeemable. There's some individuals that never need to see
the light of day ever again, but they're releasing these
people that come back out on the street.

Speaker 9 (03:35):
He says, the real solution isn't banning guns, but rather
to take violent crime and mental health seriously. Ethan Buchanan
News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 6 (03:43):
President Trump expected to sign a deal today that allowed
Chinese company to sell TikTok. That's according to White House sources,
who told NBC News the deal will facilitate the sale
of the social media app to a group of American investors.
Under the deal, the apps US operations would be run
by a new cos company. TikTok's current owner, China based
Byte Dance, would hold under twenty percent of stock in

(04:05):
the new company. Democrats claim that no one's above the
law while accusing President Trump of corruption, but their words
are coming back to haunt them. Nearly every member of
the so called squad is or has been investigated for corruption.
Former Deputy US Attorney Michael Wynn says, it's why trust
in Congress is so low.

Speaker 11 (04:25):
Because it perverts our sense of justice, our security. That's
why these kinds of offenses are so so appalling, because
it really hurts our confidence in our system.

Speaker 6 (04:36):
Massachusetts Congresswoman Nayana Presley facing questions over a lucrative public
contract given to her husband's firm, while Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan
Omar was caught funneling campaign funds to her husband's company.
California spending millions to promote Prop fifty to voters, even
having AOC star in a campaign ad for Governor Gavin

(04:57):
Newsom California.

Speaker 12 (05:00):
And you know, we don't back down from a fight,
and this November, the fight belongs to you.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
Republicans point out California doesn't need a New York congresswoman
telling them how to vote, and former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
is blasting the measure as well.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
This is why it is important for you to vote no,
I'm proposition fifty.

Speaker 6 (05:19):
Voters will decide this November of California, Democrats get the
green light to redraw those maps.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
All this is the.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
State of California currently facing a twenty billion dollar deficit,
spending millions to help out left wing media, ten million
dollars for a media subsidy program.

Speaker 13 (05:36):
Look, they're just going to hand out money to media
operations that playball. They're going to take public money and
pay people to say good things about them in the media.

Speaker 14 (05:46):
That's political commentator Kurt Schlickter who says this is anything
but free speech.

Speaker 13 (05:52):
They don't like free speech, they don't care about free speech.
They're against free speech. What they want to do is
have speech they control, and this is just sner manifestation
of it.

Speaker 14 (06:01):
And also keeping them afloat Chuff Bigs News three seven
k tch.

Speaker 6 (06:08):
KTRH News Time five to six. The new eight point
three billion dollar Harris County budget passed on Wednesday, and
Wally did include pay races for deputies and constables to
bring their pay in line with Houston police officers. It
was not without heated discussions. We'll have more on that
at five point thirty. And a world where everything is
getting more expensive on Texas County is approving a property

(06:30):
tax rate that will actually lower people's bills.

Speaker 15 (06:33):
What we're seeing TERRN County is the local officials. They're
bisically disciplined with the people's money.

Speaker 6 (06:39):
Andrew mcveay with the group Texas for Fiscal Responsibilities, says
it's not rocket science, and he says Ran County's no
new revenue rate should be a model for the rest
of the Saint Astros was shut out last night six
to zero by the A's and Sacramento. Those two teams
wrap up the series with an afternoon game today, first
pitch at two thirty five over on Sports Talk seven

(06:59):
ninety I'm Eric Sharp on Houston's News, weather and Traffic
station News Radio seven forty kt RH.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Need to take on the day news in the morning,
weather and traffic.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
This is Houston's Morning News with Jimmy Barrett five o
seven hour time here on Houston's Morning News. All Right,
Triple A says this Triple announced ninety six percent of
American drivers admit to performing at least one aggressive driving
behavior in the in the last year. In the last year,
I bet it's one hundred percent. If we're gonna go

(07:32):
back a whole year. Eleven percent say they've taken this
step further and engaged in violent actions like confronting another driver.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Hang on violent.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
If you mean, is flipping somebody off considered violent behavior?

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Now?

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Is cursing at somebody considered violent behavior? They have a
really low threshold of what they considered violence to be.
By the way, some of the if you're wondering what
typlifies aggressive driving or what meets the definition of aggressive driving,
here are the examples. Speeding, which you know most of

(08:10):
us do on a daily basis at some point in
time or another, improper lane changes, frequent, sudden or erratic
changes to lanes, often without signaling. Yeah, you see that
all the time, right. Tailgating, which technically most of us
do because very few of us follow the rule. If
you're on the freeway, for example, and you're going sixty
miles per hour, they're supposed to be like six car

(08:30):
links between you and the person in front of you.
That's never going to happen. Failure to yield, disregarding traffic controls,
such as ignoring traffic signs, signals, or officers. Really really,
I've never gotten that bowl, dude, actually ignore an officer.
Get an officer directing driving, you're going to ignore him.
That would be a very smart thing to do. Unsafe passing,

(08:52):
which is passing on a shoulder, a median or where prohibited,
sudden or reckless maneuvers, making an abrupt stop, acceleration or turn,
disregard for safety, combination of offenses, increased collision risk that
these are some of the things that are result of
all of this. And of course, you know maybe has
something with triple A feeding this information. What do you

(09:12):
suppose insurance companies are doing right? Well, listen, if we've
got ninety six percent of Americans who are doing things
that are reckless on the road, that are aggressively driving,
we need to raise the auto rates because we're gonna
have a lot more accidents with this kind of behavior.
There's not a day that goes by that most of

(09:33):
us don't participate in one of those activities. And for
a variety of reasons, I now consider myself an aggressive driver.
I was not really that aggressive a driver before I
got to Houston. Houston traffic will do that to you,
you know, even on my way home, which is after
morning rush hour, going in the opposite direction there are.

(09:54):
I'm surrounded by trucks, most of which are going below
the speed limit. I've got all kinds of people, and
this is skuy Mike's big, big hugaboo. Here is all
kinds of people hanging out the left lane. And when
you drive up beside them and look at them, they're
usually one or two things. Are either staring at the
phone or they've got a death grip on both hands

(10:16):
on the wheel and staring straight ahead, and they're not looking.
They have no idea that's anybody that anybody's even around them.
Five to ten time for trafficking brothers.

Speaker 5 (10:24):
By the way, that sounds like a checklist for me.
But you know what I don't do. I don't do
all that jackwagon stuff. Okay, obviously you know I belong
in NASCAR, but I don't do that.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
You know, use use usual around this. You'll do that, guy, Yeah,
they rapid lane ship.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
I'm gonna switch to three lanes to hit my exit.
I never do stuff like that. Nothing I do for
anyone to touch their brake.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
That's just people that I'm paying attention.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
If you have to go over across three or four
lanes to go to your exit, go to the next text.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
If you weren't paying attention. No, you can't do it
in the canyon, which is why I do not like
the Southwest Freeway. But let's go to the Southwest Freeway here.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
We could talk about this all morning.

Speaker 5 (11:01):
Southwest Freeway outbound Chimney Rock. Those of you who played
the home game with me, jump on a camera five
to one four on the trans Star site one two
right lanes.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
I don't know why.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
There's something about that response that looks funky, but the
fact that they're not shutting the whole thing down is
a good sign.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
That's a wreck.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
It's got an eighteen wheeler. I'm here in Hasmatt southbound.
I'll check with Jumpin' Joe, and he's a fireman. He
usually knows what's going on there. He can tell by
the response. All right, heartman Bridge, whoa dude? Something squishing
up the heartman Bridge? Why is it causing backups in
both directions?

Speaker 3 (11:35):
This is twin spans here, Terry. That shouldn't happen.

Speaker 5 (11:37):
I've got a Scotch coming down from Baytown and then
I've got a squish coming up from Laporte, So I'm
gonna have to zoom that at the twenty break. Let's
give you some time here, gentlewoman from Georgia. I'm in
the USA RB Resorts dot Com traffic center.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
From r Katie, rh Top tax defenders twenty four hour.
Whether's there in Terry Smith?

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Is here? We have umberto to talk about.

Speaker 16 (11:57):
Now, Yes, we have the Barto, we have Gabriel, and
we may have an Imelda here before too long. Emberto
is a tropical storm forty five mile in our wind's
going to hang out there in the Atlantic, maybe of
some concern to Bermuda early next week. Of greater concern, honestly,

(12:18):
is not so much concern, but of interest. Let's call
it is that tropical wave that's making its way across
Puerto Rico at the moment, headed toward Cuba and the
Bahamian Islands. That could develop into a tropical storm as well,
and that would be Immelda like right now, not very organized,

(12:41):
but certainly has quite a bit in the way of
some rain with it.

Speaker 17 (12:45):
So we're gonna be watching that.

Speaker 16 (12:46):
That'll stay out in the Atlantic, won't have an impact
for us, but could have an impact for Florida on
an indirect basis, and certainly travel plans to any of
those lovely islands.

Speaker 17 (12:57):
Closer to home.

Speaker 16 (12:58):
We had some rain yesterday, where still dealing with a
little bit in the way of showers and storms this morning,
mainly near the coast. That's going to be clearing out
rather quickly. We're going to wind up sunny today. It's
going to be comfortable mid to upper eighties today, sunny
and dry through the weekend, and do Monday next week.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Temperature right now seventy four your official severe weather station.
News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
It's Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New South
Windows Solutions. Now back to Jimmy Barrits and the Houston
Morning News team all the info you need to take
on the day, five twenty our time here on Houston's
Morning News.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
So, we had the shooting yesterday in an ice facility.
Twenty nine year old responsible for it. The only picture
they could find to this guy is from twenty fifteen.
It's like ten years ago. What about a driver's license
photo or something. We don't know much about him about
the only thing we know other than his name and

(13:57):
his age, is that he was randomly shooting at this
ice facility. And we also know that the had bullets
that had anti ice messages on them. So the assumption
is is that this was an ice protester who did this.
And then following, you know, following the modus operandi, I guess,
for lack of a better term of what the shooters

(14:19):
do these days, up on a rooftop taking potshots, just
trying to hit something more than the story coming up next. First,
we've got traffic and weather together. What you got Skymike,
we need to.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
Reopen the cuckoo's nest, Jimmy, this is the This is
one of the weird it's a lot when I can
say it's one of the weirder things I've seen. Hartman Bridge.
All right, so southbound we've had this wreck. Let's take
it one two, three left lanes blocked here southbound. If
you're playing the home game, it's on one three zero
seven southbound Baytown side. Scunch step, I've got one lane

(14:50):
getting by. We've got a massive backup from Lee College northbound.
This is what was weird. They were also operating northbound.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
James from Highlands, Dude, I'm in the Hartman Ridge for bubble.

Speaker 18 (15:01):
Traffic is leaking by on the.

Speaker 10 (15:03):
South mound lanes and the northbound lanes are completely shut down.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
It looks like.

Speaker 15 (15:07):
They've got apparatus in the way on the southbound side
that's assisting list.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
What a weird thing.

Speaker 5 (15:14):
These these bridge spans aren't even connected, but they've just
now reopened the northbound skymike on the USA RV Resorts
dot Com traffic center.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
From r KTRH top tax Defenders, twenty four hour weather Center,
part of the Claude about eighty eight for the high today,

mainly Sunday, around ninety on Sunday. So it looks like
a nice weekend is coming our way. Little less human too.

The White House telling federal agencies to prepare for potential

Wednesday's attack on the ice facility in Dallas will not
slow the state's participation in deporting illegal immigrants. And William

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Next on the ten.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Democrats walking in lockstep in referring to Ice as the Gestapo.
Will these Nazi references ever stop? I don't think they do.
I don't think they will, for no other reason than
the Democrats can, at least the far left ones can
see what kind of impact they're having, and this is

(16:54):
the impact they want to have. Maybe there's more to
the endgame here. There probably is. I mean, what is
the endgame here too? For societal collapse so we can
form a new country? Is that what they're hoping happens
from all this? I mean there are plenty, There are
plenty of countries like China who would like to see
that happen. Do they have a role in the need

(17:15):
of these shootings. Foreign foreignanci daies you know, for moneies,
money and supplies and plans.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
Anyway, let's get back to what happened yesterday in Dallas.
Here is the report from Fox four in Dallas.

Speaker 20 (17:27):
Authority say a gunman opened fire from a nearby roof.
Three Ice detainees inside the van were hit. One died,
the other two were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Authority say the gunman, identified as twenty nine year old
Joshua Yan, shot himself. The center was open early this
morning for appointments and people were in the waiting area

(17:50):
when the shots rang out. Little Edwin Cardona says he
was walking into the building with his wife and son
at the time of the shooting. Explained that once they
heard gunshots, the agents evacuated everyone from where they were
waiting to a more protected area.

Speaker 7 (18:07):
What we do know so far is that the shooter
was firing indiscriminately throughout the whole building, and so the
shooter was at a building nearby and shooting directly into
the building, going across the entire length of the building
and then including into the sally.

Speaker 20 (18:23):
Port Our News cameras captured bullet holes in the windows
of the back of the building near the sally port,
the area where detainees are transferred, and the Department of
Homeland Security shared this photo of bullet holes piercing the
glass of a framed American flag inside the facility. Okay,

(18:44):
morning rush hour traffic along adjacent I thirty five was
diverted as local and federal authorities swarmed the area.

Speaker 21 (18:51):
I can confirm at this time that the FBI is
investigating this incident as an act of targeted violence.

Speaker 20 (18:56):
Part of the investigation focused on the roof of an
immigrant law firm across from the back.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Of the facility. This is where they believe Yon positioned himself.

Speaker 20 (19:06):
Folks War was there this afternoon when a car parked
at the building.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Was searched by authorities.

Speaker 20 (19:11):
The full scope of the motive behind the shooting is
still unclear, but during a press conference Wednesday morning, authority
says showcasings at the scene gave some insight.

Speaker 21 (19:21):
What I can also share with you is it early
evidence that we've seen from rounds that were found near
the suspected shooter contain messages that are anti ice in nature.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
Well, and we'll find out what stories will be coming
out today. Probably we're going to find out there's certainly
going to be probably a social media footprint for this guy.
He's probably had mental health issues and easily influenced all
the other things that usually go into this kind of stuff.
But the rhetoric, it's not stopping it is it continues.
This is obviously what democrats want the scene back. The

(19:57):
Democrats are saying this violence will continue until ICE changes
its tactics.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Is that right? Sounds like it. Five twenty seven.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Time to take a look at your money as we
take a moment with Jeff Bellinger to see what's going
on on Wall Street today.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
And good morning, Jimmy.

Speaker 22 (20:13):
Executives from a couple of technology companies have reportedly been talking,
sources tell Bloomberg. Intel has approached Apple, hoping the iPhone
maker will make an investment in the chip maker. The
text led the stock market lower for a second day
in a row. Yesterday's losses for the major averages were modest,
all right around a third of a percent. Futures are

Speaker 5 (21:26):
Hartman Bridge okay, southbound, we still have three left lines
blocked here, some sort of accident. You got a big
backup now six coming down from three point thirty. Ah,
there's not even a good reroute. Well, let's take the
toll bridge if you have to and get around that way.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
It's a it's a big scutch.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
It's worth it to go that way north found they've
reopened the lanes. I still have a bit of a squish,
but that's getting better by the second. Stay the course there.
Still don't understand why they were closing the northbound. That's
really weird. Southwest outbound Chimney Rock, there's a wreck. He's
moved to the side, not hurting anybody. Just look out
for ninjas.

seven forty KTRH. It's time now for the news. Here's
Eric Sharp.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
Good Morning, five thirty two on news Radio seven forty KTRH.
Our top story this hour Harris County Commissioner's Court passing
a new budget, but not before more antics from County
Judge Lena Hidalgo. She spared off with Sheriff Ed Gonzalez
about the pay raises for deputies.

Speaker 23 (22:36):
Why is it that when it comes to peace officers,
we can't seem to want to take care of that
essential r we want to.

Speaker 24 (22:43):
We absolutely want to.

Speaker 20 (22:44):
And here's the thing, it's a matter of dollars and cents.

Speaker 6 (22:47):
The DOOGO wanted a tax hike to pay for those
raiss and for her programs like early childhood education. She
last outed fellow commissioners, accusing them of only caring about
re election and not caring about children. The budget ultimately
passed three to two. HPD and other law enforcement agencies
in the Uscen area have all received a major boost
in pay and now Hoaights are worried that they won't

(23:10):
be able to afford their security contracts.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
The reality is they might not have to.

Speaker 25 (23:15):
If we can hire enough officers get them back doing
police work that they love to do in our county.
We hope there will be less of a need for
these contract deputies in the neighborhoods.

Speaker 6 (23:25):
It's Doug Griffith with the use of police officers union.
He says, for a few years HOA security contracts might
be higher, but before too long they could be a
thing of the past. Google has announced that nearly five
years later, they're finally going to allow the reinstatement of
YouTube accounts that were banned for speaking out about COVID nineteen.

Speaker 9 (23:47):
Google also admitted that the Biden administration pressured them to
ban the accounts.

Speaker 26 (23:51):
They're a business abs in the government of the Biden
administration telling YouTube what it needed to do. It allowed
people on that platform because it made them money.

Speaker 9 (24:00):
Representative Briscocaine says something needs to be done to make
sure this doesn't happen again.

Speaker 27 (24:03):
As far as censorship goes, Congress does need to act

A shooting at a DICE, a Dallas ice facility yesterday
leaves three detainees injured, one debt. The FBI found the
shooter wrote anti ICE on the bullet casing. A Homeland
Security Secretary Christy no I'm telling Fox that the attack
might be politically motivated.

Speaker 28 (24:37):
We see people that have been targeting our law enforcement
officers across the country, not just in their rhetoric, but
also in their actions out on the streets, and some
of them appear to be acting independently. We don't know
that for certain with this individual, yet we have to
let the FBI finish the case.

Speaker 6 (24:54):
The FBI investigating the shooting is a targeted attack. The
shooter died of a self and inflicted gunshot wound. I
says that the tax on each its agents are up
one thousand percent since the start of the year. KTRH
news time is now five thirty five after Congress passed
one big beautiful bill into law. Some now wondering if

(25:14):
they'll see the promise no taxes on tips and no
tax on overtime measures go into effect. US Department of
Treasury is trying to answer that question.

Speaker 29 (25:23):
They're going to be able to get their refund come
early next year, and it's going to be a boon
to working class families to get to keep more of
their after tax pay.

Speaker 6 (25:30):
That's Treasury Secretary Council Joe Lavorgna on Fox Business. He
says the policy will apply to certain workers' earnings in
calendar year twenty twenty five after they fill out a
tax form that the administration is proposing. American consumers say
the cost of groceriy is a major source of stress
in their life. The sentiment comes as data from the
Consumer Price Index shows grocery prices rising zero point six

(25:54):
percent from July to August, marking the steepest one month
gain in roughly three years. Americans continue piling on that debt,
and the idea of treating yourself self care might be
a culprit. Financial planner Buill Dendy says that this has
become a social fault, which has led to overspending on
useless things.

Speaker 30 (26:14):
We don't want to wait till someday in the future
to have some fun. We should have some fun now.
And if life is beating us up, we want to
be able to treat ourselves to maybe a cup of coffee,
a movie, something, and so we consume to fill our needs,
and unfortunately some people consume as their favorite pastime sport.

Those affected by the July fourth flooding are coming up
on a couple of key deadlines. October first is the
last day they can apply for free debris removal through FEMA.

Speaker 10 (26:49):
You hear our stories about FEMA, and through this whole
process they have been outstanding.

Speaker 31 (26:54):
That's Kirk County Commissioner Don Harris. The damage from a
wall of water is now mostly on private property. To
qualify for the free FEMA help, landowners must be able
to show that the debris presents an immediate threat to
public safety or property. I'm Beth Meyer's News Radio twelve

Speaker 3 (27:36):
Oh Man.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
Does that screen eighties five thirty eight our time here
in Houston's Morning News. Right, Donald Trump was trying to
ride the escalator of life at the United Nations. It
wasn't working, stopped right before he was going to get
on it. Huh, how do you suppose that happened? Just

(27:57):
just do unique timing right? Well, Secret Service is investigating
after not only the escalator failed at the United Nations.
But the teleprompter for President Trump failed. Sure, got nothing
to see here, purely coincidence. We're having some technical glitches.

(28:18):
Got nothing to do with you, mister president.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Right. Here's Paul Morrow yesterday in the five. Well, so
I've been in that building. It's decrepit.

Speaker 12 (28:26):
The idea that the escalator is so sensitive that somebody
walking backwards somehow turns it off is ridiculous. But if
it does, do that talk about another waste of American money. Yeah,
I mean, let's say spent our money on because of
course we found a quarter at a place. Look, I'm
going to quote I want to get her name here,
Susan Krabtree, who's on X. She follows us secret Service
stuff very closely. She's won't book the story about service

(28:47):
member who was very blithe about the kirk assassination. She
makes the point that the service didn't really react wonderfully.
The thing froze. He's standing there, makes some more of
a chation. Have wrestled the escalator to the ground.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
We got to come in, you know, cover around him.
And they didn't do that.

Speaker 12 (29:02):
You wouldn't understand. So they didn't reoctop. Maybe you'd like
them too. I'm not sure the Service is still where
we'd like them to be, despite a couple of recent
wins like with Ryan Ruth.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
All right, so more work to do at the Secret Service,
and good luck trying to find out whether or not
that was purposeful at the United Nations. What happened to
President Trump? To me, both of both of those failures
on the one day that he's there to speak. That
probably tells me there's a little sabotage involved there. Right
five forty time for traffic and weather. Together's we check

(29:33):

Speaker 5 (29:34):
All right, Southwest Freeway outbound, not inbound, Chimney Rock. We're
looking at this wreck and take it up two right lanes.
It's been there for a while. I'm hearing has Matt
I believe it, but it's not really messing you up.
Let's just look out if you're coming out of downtown
trying to hit the loop on the southbound side.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
The weirdest thing on the Hartman Bridge has been going on.

Speaker 5 (29:52):
We had this wreck on the southbound and they had
almost the whole thing shut down, plus they shut down
the northbound lanes.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
This is Brandon from Dayton.

Speaker 10 (30:00):

Speaker 5 (30:11):
All right, fantastic, thank you. That's a banana sticker on

Speaker 32 (30:22):
It's just cleared, wide open and everybody's moving.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
All right.

Speaker 5 (30:25):
Let me check that scoochery real really quickly northbound.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
We look good.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
Go ahead and stay the course of the Port Baytown.
It's gonna take a minute to recover because right after
three thirty you hit a wall of brakes. I would say,
if you're about five minutes from that spot, go ahead
and stay the course there. If you're closer to just
jump on three thirty and do the toll bridge instead.
Right back at you with the south side in ten
minutes and the Generator Supercenter dot Com Traffic Center.

Speaker 17 (31:05):
Well, the humanity doesn't entirely go away, but.

Speaker 16 (31:07):
It baby steps, yes, baby steps, and listen, I will
take every one of those baby steps.

Speaker 17 (31:14):
Drugs me.

Speaker 16 (31:15):
So, we still have a little bit of rain, some
showers and storms off to the south and west, primarily
in Lake Jackson seeing some rain.

Speaker 17 (31:25):
West Columbia, Angleton.

Speaker 16 (31:28):
Yeah, that's where we're seeing the bulk of the rain
right now, off to the southwest. That's on its way
out though with the cold front. The cold front and
the dryer air is showing up, and it really is
going to be a sweet stretch of weather. Will turn
out sunny, mid to upper eighties today with less humidity.
Temperatures Tonight will be in the sixties, mid upper eighties.

(31:49):
Tomorrow Saturday a little bit warmer in spots, most of
us in the mid to upper eighties, but there'll be

right lanes. We've got all kinds of flashing lights, toe treck, ninjas.
I don't see ambulance. It looks like everybody's okay. Here
two right lanes. This is just south of the loop.
Let's check on your heart men. Bridge. That was a
pretty big scooch. Now see some breaks over west Main.

(32:57):
But as you're approaching southbound, it's a little bit of
a wait. Now everybody's gone to the toll bridge. I
am so sorry I rerouted a lot of you northbound

Speaker 4 (34:32):
Well, Jimmy Kimble's not capable of breaking most of our hearts,
but they it's definitely too late. This point wouldn't matter,
you know what he would say at this point, not
that he was ever really going to apologize anyway. But
Andrew Colvett, he's the producer, well it's a turning point
in USA, but he's also the producer of The Charlie
Kirk Show, the podcast that Charlie Kirk did. He was
asked on Fox yesterday what they made of Jimmy Kimmel's

(34:56):
reappearance and what he had to say about Charlie Kirk.

Speaker 3 (34:59):
You have taken well to his message from last night.

Speaker 34 (35:03):
I saw a few things you posted on X What
was lacking in your view?

Speaker 35 (35:07):
Well, an apology for one Bill and yeah, I mean,
you know, I see everything as being connected this shooting
at an ICE facility.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
Yeah, we don't know all the details yet.

Speaker 35 (35:18):
I made some calls before and before coming on with you,
and I'm I'm being told that you know, the thought
is he was this, this person was attacking Ice. And
you know, our prayers are with anybody who was caught
up in this violence. But what with somebody like Jimmy
Kimmel says that the shooter was of Charlie was maga.

(35:41):
What he's really saying is that it's okay to lie
about conservatives, that their lives don't matter, that his agenda,
his political agenda and cultural agenda is more important than
the life of my friend who was just taken from
us and robbed from us. And you see this with MAGGIONI,
you see this with Charlie Kirk, and I see it
with this ICE facility.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
It's not okay.

Speaker 35 (36:02):
And when people like Jimmy Kimmel skirt the truth, when
they refuse to take accountability for their actions, then that
sends the signal that there's a whole institutional machinery apparatus
that's prepared to defend these evildoers and that's not okay.
What we need is I'm sorry, I lied, I was wrong,

(36:24):
and I won't do it again, and my apologies to
the Kirk family and Erica Kirk.

Speaker 4 (36:30):
Oh you wanted a sincere apology, that would be a
sincere apology. I post a little something on social media
yesterday about that. About the different kinds of apologies there are.
The number one being the sincere apology, the realization that
you hurt somebody's feelings, you did something wrong, you said

(36:51):
something you shouldn't have had, shouldn't have said, you regret
having said what you said. You're truly sorry. That is
a sincere apology. That's the toughest apology to make because
that requires you to humble yourself, and very few people
can do that. Very few people can humble themselves to
the point where they actually give us sincere apology or

(37:13):
realize that they really did do something wrong. By fifty

Speaker 6 (38:56):
Good morning, six o two on news radio seven forty
ktr each. This news update brought to you by All
Star Construction. Our top story this hour. A detainee was
killed two others critically wounded yesterday after a gunment opened
fire at an ice facility in Dallas. Fox As Lucas
Tomlinson has more.

Speaker 36 (39:13):
Since President Trump returned to the White House, there have
been dozens of attacks on ice officers.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
The shooter has.

Speaker 36 (39:18):
Been identified as twenty nine year old Joshua John who
shot and killed himself after opening fire on that ice
facility in Dallas. He left beyond ammunition that appears to
be five rounds of eight millimeter Mauser on a stripper
clip with the words anti ice written on one of
the bullets. The rifle of bolt action German model. There
was no scope attached. Just a few days ago, California
Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill banning law enforcement officers,

(39:41):
including ICE agents, from covering their faces. Newsom repeatedly asking
in a press conference, what are you afraid of?

Speaker 6 (39:49):
No officers were hurt in the shooting, While the exact
motive of the shooter still unclear, Resident Trump and members
of his administration blaming language Democrats are using to criticiz I.
Of course, in the wake of the shooting, Democrats once
again calling for a ban on guns. But will it
actually solve any problems? The fact of the matter is
the guns are just the scapegoat for crime.

Speaker 10 (40:11):
That's just like someone saying that automobiles are the reason
that we have such a high futality rate.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
It's absurd.

Speaker 10 (40:18):
It's the people that are behind the wheels that are
doing and that's what needs to be addressed in gun
It's not weaponry.

Speaker 3 (40:23):
That's former HPD Captain Greg Freeman.

Speaker 6 (40:25):
He says the real solution to gun violence is to
take mental health seriously and not allow violent criminals and
the mentally ill to roam the streets free. The White
House says that there may be mass firings if there's
a government shut down. Yesterday, the White House Office of
Management and Budget released a memo instructing federal agencies to
prepare reduction enforced plans in case Congress fails to agree

(40:48):
on a government funding by September thirtieth. The memo directs
agencies to identify programs whose funds will end if Congress
does not meet the deadline, and they say though those
programs could face sweeping reductions that could permanently eliminate certain jobs.
Some of President Trump's biggest critics now facing their own
corruption allegations.

Speaker 37 (41:09):
Massachusetts Congresswoman and Squad member Aana Presley is under investigation
after her husband's firm got a lucrative real estate contract.
Former Assistant US Attorney Michael Wynn says it's getting harder
to root out this type of corruption.

Speaker 11 (41:22):
There's no limit to human ingenuity when it comes to
the lion chafing and stealing that that happens in the
political and public office context, and it's just so disheartening
because it perverts our since that public decisions are being
made fairly.

Even with a twenty billion dollar deficit, the state of
California has approved ten million dollars for a government monitored
me subsidy program. Political commentator Kurt Schlichter, who lives here
in Houston but also works in LA.

Speaker 13 (42:06):
It's typical with modern California, a grubby little socialist dictatorship
that has taken an amazing and terrific state and turned
it into a nightmare.

Speaker 6 (42:17):
The program is built as supporting local journalism, but the
true motive is controlling the narrative in the Golden States.
Harris County's new eight point three billion dollar budget now approved,
and with it pay raises for deputies and constables to
match Euston police officers. The vote came after some vocal
objection from County Judge Lena Hidalgo. We'll have more on
that coming up at six thirty. As the cost for

(42:40):
everything keeps going up, when Texas County approving property tax
rates that will leave residents paying less, Andrew McVeigh with
the group Texas for Fiscal Responsibility says, the key here
is that they're not spending money they don't have.

Speaker 15 (42:53):
You cannot free taxpayers like an endless piggybank. But the
people's money does not grow on trees.

Speaker 6 (42:59):
And he said Arren County's no new revenue range should
be a model for the rest of the states. Recent
polls show that the Texas GOP said it primary between
John Cornant and Ken Paxton is tightening, with the race
essentially a dead heat. Paxton telling the Walton and Johnson

because he's been touring the state.

Speaker 32 (43:21):
Talking of voters, We'll say, can you name one remarkable
thing that John Cornant has accomplished in the last forty
years since I've been in college and I'm now sixty two,
he's been in office that long. And if you take
it all the way back to even when he was
in the judiciary, I can't find things even as Attorney
General that he did that were remarkable.

Speaker 4 (44:18):
All right, Friendliest cities in America. What's funny about this
survey is the survey asked residents to rate their own
cities on how friendly they are. So if you are
a resident of Houston or Raleigh, North Carolina, or Honolulu,
or whatever city you're in, you were asked to comment

(44:40):
on how friendly the city is. So it's it's not
a reflection of how other people find your city, it's
a reflection of how we find our own city. And
that being the case, we ranked in the top five.
San Diego came in number one. They think they're super friendly, Raleigh,
North Carolina, number two, Phoenix, Arizona, third, Miami, Florida fourth.
Houston came in fifth. We're the only Texas city that

(45:02):
made the top ten. Honolulu came in sixth. Boston Boston. Huh,
I guess they think they're friendlier than what they are.
Boston came in seventh. San Jose came in eighth at
San Jose, California. Minneapolis Saint Paul, Minnesota came in number nine.
They are very friendly people. I will say that about
most people of Minnesota. They have some weird politics and

(45:24):
they have a governor who's a nut job, but the
people themselves are pretty friendly. And Denver, Colorado, came in
number ten. So here's my question. We'll make it our
question today. Go to the iHeartRadio app KTRH is do
you agree with that assessment that we are a top
city for friendliness? And if so, what do you think
makes Houston so friendly? Why are we so friendly and welcoming?

(45:46):
Go to the iHeart radio app KTRH. You hit the
talkback button first thing, where you're calling from and what
do you think makes Houston so friendly? I will say this,
there are a lot of places where if you're not
from there, you're kind of a social outcast. Richmond, Virginia,
was kind of that kind of a place. It took

(46:07):
a long time to really make friends in Richmond because
they had the you're either a come here or from here,
and they did much care for the come heres. They
liked the from heres. Houston, I don't get that feeling
because so many people have moved to Houston from other places.
Maybe that's why we're so welcoming. Your thoughts, though, would

(46:28):
be appreciated. Six ten time for traffic, you know, together
White White's guy mine.

Speaker 5 (46:31):
Well, because the Texas Revolution, all our great heroes actually
came from out of state. They came here, you know,
to the Alamos Argento, and so you know, you're right
up there with William Barrett trappis you are oh no, no, no,
a naturalized Texan Jimmy Barrett.

Speaker 4 (46:46):
Well, I'll go with the naturalized Texan. But don't go
mary me to any of the heroes of the Alamo Pas.

Speaker 5 (46:51):
Okay, all right, you know you, we'll give you a
how do y'all let's do some Hartman Bridge here.

Speaker 3 (46:56):
We've cleared it.

Speaker 5 (46:57):
We had this weird wreck southbound that it was actually
a truck fire. Turns out to be that's out of
the way, stay of the course. We're good both ways.
I still don't understand why they were doing both ways.
That's weird. The bridges aren't connected, so you got the
toll bridge. That's my fault. I rerouted everybody, and now
we've got a stall at the top of it.

Speaker 3 (47:15):
You've got to back up after wood Forest twenty extra minutes.

Speaker 5 (47:17):
This way, Golf Freeway scooching up at the south loop
six to ten. Do we have our morning wreck there?
Looks like it. Whatever it is, it's very minor. I
barely seen any lights. And also to ninety, just a
bit of a squish at ninety. I think this is Tyrone,
Jimmy Kimmel, Nord Freeway, Shepherd of stall here and Drake

(47:38):
from Texas City coming up forty five south way down there.

Speaker 27 (47:41):
Mike, it is rainy and wet.

Speaker 10 (47:45):
I'm also seeing a whole lot of flashing lights, but
it's not from the so truck, then, Zora of the

But that's going to be wrapping up here pretty quickly.

Speaker 16 (48:29):
I think by about late morning, around the lunch hour,
all that should be out of here, and the dryer

the temperatures will be much cooler than yesterday. Boy was
it warm yesterday. So we'll turn out Sonny mid upper

Saturday looks to be.

A little warmer, generally in.

Speaker 4 (49:24):
Whenever there's a shooting, and we had another one obviously
yesterday at that ice facility in Dallas. Whenever there's that
type of shooting, the left always brings up gun control
or what they like to call common sense gun control,
although I've never talked to anybody who's ever been able
to define for me what that is. What are common

(49:45):
sense gun control measures that we don't already have in place,
and how would that have prevented what happened in the shooting.
We'll talk to doctor Greg Freeman, former HBD captain about
all this coming up next. First, though, traffic and weather together.

Speaker 4 (51:38):
Six twenty three. Our time here in news This morning,
news doctor Greg Freman, former HBD captain, joins us to
talk about gun control. Here we go again. Every time
there's a shooting, we we have this discussion. Let's let's start.
Let's start with gun control. Is there is there a
law that does not exist as relates to guns that,
if it did exist, would make this problem go away.

Speaker 18 (52:02):
No, there's not, Jimmy and good morning. Thanks for having
me on, and your commentary was spot on. And that's exactly, unfortunately,
what the left does, and they don't want to address
the elephant that is in the room, and that's to
address these violent felons that keeps having a revolving door
and they're getting put back out on the street. And
the analogy that I would give is Chicago, Illinois. They

(52:25):
have the most stringent gun control laws literally in the nation,
but they also have the highest homicide rate. So this
fallacy that if we have more laws restricting gun ownership
and purchasing, it's going to reduce violence is just it's absurd,
It really is.

Speaker 4 (52:39):
In my opinion, although I think criminal violence, we have
to kind of separate, do we criminal violence from political violence?
Which is what happened yesterday in Dallas, what happened to
Charlie Kirk, what has happened in the whole Fariday of
places mainly perpetrated by the progressive left. We have somehow
managed to weaponize peopleople who are on the edge emotionally

(53:02):
or mentally, with words. And yet we can't get the
people using those words, you know, comparing Ice to the Gestapo,
comparing President Trump to Adolf Hitler, we can't get. We
can't seem to get people from stopping using those terms,
and it it does seem to be having an effect
on people who are emotionally unstable.

Speaker 18 (53:24):
Now, there's no question in my mind that the rhetoric
from the left has created this environment as we have
seen play out, and you have an entire population of
individuals that are mentally unstable and all they need is
that trigger word that is being said, not see gestopo fascist,
et cetera. The same mantra that they've been preaching, and
it impacts people that truly are mentally ill and they

(53:46):
need help, but they act on these words, and words
do matter significantly.

Speaker 4 (53:50):
Okay, Well, let me ask you a really deep question here,
and I don't mean to take you to an uncomfortable place,
but I think inquiring minds at this point want to
know they continue to do it. They double down on it,
they triple down on it. They've repeatedly been asked to
stop doing it, they won't stop doing it. What is
the end result that these people are looking for? Do
they want the political violence to continue? And if so,

(54:12):
for what purpose?

Speaker 18 (54:15):
Jimmy, I honestly deep down inside, and that is my opinion,
and I think that's the opinion that many of us polled,
is that they want us to just go away. And
it's as tragic as that is. When you have tens
of thousands of people that are jumping for joy and
dancing and mocking the death of Charlie Kirk, and these
people are not un mentally arranged. Many of these people

(54:36):
were professionals, doctors, nurses, educators in higher education. So you
have an entire group of people out there that just
want our voices silenced, and an answer to your question,
they think that. They just did a poll the other
day showing that fifty seven percent of the left believe
that it was acceptable for what occurred to Charlie Kirk

(54:59):
justify fifty seven percent. Now, I don't know who they polled,
but that's a very alarming number. And it's very shocking
to our society as a whole to think that we
have people in this country to think that murder and
assassination is an acceptable form of silence your opponents when
you don't like what they're saying.

Speaker 4 (55:15):
It's a bad combination. Is it mental illness combined with
the lack of morality. That's pretty tough to overcome, that.

Speaker 25 (55:23):
It is.

Speaker 18 (55:23):
And again, you have a group that does not want
to address the mental health care crisis that we have
in this nation, especially with violent offenders. And their answer
is they make them the victims instead of the offenders
that they are, and they remove the victim status from
the true victims, and.

Speaker 3 (55:38):
Instead of.

Speaker 18 (55:40):
Giving them assistance and help, they affirm their behavior. And
that's what condones this type of attitude in a nation. Unfortunately,
all right.

Speaker 4 (55:48):
Sir, thank you for observation. I do appreciate it. Doctor

Speaker 3 (58:07):
After weeks of debates, another day of heated.

Speaker 6 (58:09):
Discussions, yesterday, Harrits County Commissioner's courts did approve the budgets
for the new fiscal year.

Speaker 17 (58:15):
I'm also a post.

Speaker 18 (58:16):
And the motion was made by Commissioner Garcia, second by
Commissioner Brionis.

Speaker 3 (58:20):
That was the original motion, yes, hundred years ago.

Speaker 17 (58:24):
Three to two.

Speaker 18 (58:25):
Thanks for the question.

Speaker 20 (58:26):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (58:26):
Commissioner Tom Ramsey, Leslie Brionez, and Adrian Garcia voted in favor,
with the county Judge Lead Hidalgo and Commissioner Rodney Ellis against.
The new budget closes an estimated two hundred million dollars
shortfall without tax hikes. It does not does include pay
raises for law enforcement, increase funding for flood maintenance, and
an expansion of the District Attorney's office, with HPD and

(58:49):
other law enforcements getting pay raises. Recently, some are worry
that hoa's won't be able to afford their security contracts.

Speaker 3 (58:57):
This might not be an issue at all before too long.

Speaker 25 (59:00):
What everything's in place and we get the funding, we
need to do everything the way it should be done.
Not only will we have less contracts, so we will
have safe for communities overall.

Speaker 3 (59:09):
I'll look forward to that day.

Speaker 6 (59:11):
As Doug Griffin with the Houston Police Officers Union, he says, well,
this might lead to some more expensive HOA contracts in
the short term. In the long term, it could eliminate
them completely. Google announcing that they will restore the accounts

Speaker 26 (59:41):
They don't have to carry everybody's opinion and that inter change.

Speaker 6 (59:45):
State repped and congressional candidate Briscoe Kaine says that we
have stated laws to deal with this working their way

President Trump says, an escalator outage at the UIT this week,
just as he stepped on to it with First Lady
Milania was absolutely sabotage.

Speaker 40 (01:00:11):
The President calling for rest to be made related to
an escalator at the United Nations that abruptly stalled as
soon as he and the First Lady stepped on to it.
He called the incident absolutely sabotage, pointing to a Times
of London report that said UN staffers have been overheard
joking that they might turn off the escalator switch and
make the president walk, a UN spokesperson suggesting without evidence

(01:00:32):
that it was a member of the Trump entourage that
may be to blame for the escalator mishap. Chris DeMeo

Speaker 6 (01:00:40):
Republicans condemning calls from Democrats, including California Governor Gavin Newsom,
who are sounding the alarm over ICE agents wearing masks
while on the job. Florida Governor Ron De Santis on
Fox News defending the work of the law enforcement officials.

Speaker 41 (01:00:54):
What these ICE agents are doing is they are enforcing
federal law. We are a country. We have borders that matters.
That means you have to secure the border, which has
been done very well, but it also means you have
to do interior enforcement.

Speaker 6 (01:01:09):
Of course, those comments come the same day as that
shooting at the ice facility in Dallas that killed one
detainee and injured others, and acted officials of say are
targeted law enforcement agents specifically.

Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
New home sales jumping far more than expected.

Speaker 6 (01:01:24):
In August, US Census Bureau reports sales of newly built
homes junk twenty five percent from July to reach their
highest since January twenty twenty two. They're also up fifteen
points per percent more than August of last year. Meanwhile,
spending on self care might be a factor in why
Americans are so much in debt.

Speaker 3 (01:01:45):
Americans and the government are one and the same.

Speaker 30 (01:01:48):
We as individuals accumulated a lot of debt, and a
lot of that debt is because we don't want to
make some hard decisions. It's very similar with our national debt,
as we don't want to make some hard decisions. We
want to have everything.

Speaker 24 (01:01:59):
Financial planner build Old Dendee says, we're over consuming to
fill needs all because we have the idea of treating ourselves.

Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
But waiting can be better.

Houston's Morning News continues with Jimmy Barrett and the Houston
Morning News Team six thirty at our time.

Speaker 4 (01:02:51):
Here in Houston's Morning News. So the list of the
top ten friendliest cities in America according to the people
who live there, you think they you'd ask people who
didn't live in those cities but had visited those cities
and whether or not they thought they were friendly or not.
But anyway, based on our own assessment, we are the
fifth friendliest state or city, i should say, in the

(01:03:13):
entire country. San Diego, Raleigh, Phoenix, Miami, and then Houston
So here's my question. If you agree that we are
one of the most friendly cities in America, what do
you think it is about us that makes us so friendly?
Why are we so friendly? And what makes us so friendly?

Speaker 3 (01:03:30):
You go to the.

up in the air tell me I'm number one.

Speaker 3 (01:03:49):
I love this place. Hey, Jimmy.

Speaker 42 (01:03:51):
As somebody who lives in the Golden Triangle area, I
can attest that every time I visit Houston, everyone's just
been so inviting, welcoming and friendly. Granted, most of the
times I've visited Houston is for the Astros games, but
I have seen Johnson Space Center. I've also visited a
few of the museums and quite a few other places
as well, and everyone is just so inviting and welcoming.

(01:04:11):
And they always tell me love in to h town,
and I love it. I love visiting Houston.

Speaker 4 (01:04:17):
Well, there you go. I don't know how many Astros
fans are happy this morning, though. How do we get
beat again by the A's. I mean you talk about
you talk about hitting a slump at the worst possible moment.
The only team right now that it has had a
more embarrassing slump, you know, to go from first to

(01:04:37):
potentially not even making the playoffs is the Detroit Tigers.
They had at one point they had like a nine
game lead over Cleveland in their division, and now there
are like two games behind Cleveland and in danger of
not making the postseason either. Six forty time for traffic

Google it seems to me that they're during The Biden biden.
Administration part, me the big thing that Got google upset
were all these ANTI covid vaccine videos that were getting,
posted and they called and, complained And google at the
time just rolled over and, said, okay.

Speaker 33 (01:27:28):
Well there you. Go, right this is the big. Story
we were being fairly Anti, google and maybe we shouldn't
give them a, pass but.

Speaker 3 (01:27:35):
Who is the real.

Speaker 33 (01:27:36):
Culprit the real culprit was our own. Government now, again
you should not be, surprised, right this is the same
government that killed us SITTING us, president so it shouldn't be.
Surprised and they wanted to censor your. Speech but that's
exactly what happened to THE us government was pressuring these
companies to silence their.

Speaker 3 (01:27:53):
Dissent this is bullshi big.

Speaker 4 (01:27:55):
Stuff all, right and you're absolutely right about. That but then,
again if you're a company Like, google do you have
to roll over when the government makes that? Demands are
they rolling over now to our current?

Speaker 3 (01:28:04):
Government you can say.

Speaker 33 (01:28:08):
So they certainly seem like they. Were but, however in
those times, past multiple states have continued to pass legislation
that opposes these, restrictions just like we did here In,
texas a bill THAT i passed a few years. Ago
AND i think some of that's also the response to these.

Speaker 4 (01:28:23):
THINGS i THINK i have to wonder, here is there
something that we can do as a country to make
it clear to these companies that free speech applies regardless
of which political party is in, office and that there's
only so much any part of the government can do
to restrict those. Things because Clearly google thought it was

(01:28:45):
in their best financial interest to go ahead and cave
to The biden.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
Administration, yeah that's a good.

Speaker 33 (01:28:51):
Point of, course they're getting plenty of big government. Contracts
but what we can do is to fix federal lality
essentially gives these guys this. Monopoly but they are common
carriers and should be treated as such and then punished
for any discrimination by not carrying content that they disagree.
With it's pretty. Simple the states have been trying to
pass this, legislation but ultimately we've got to amend federal

(01:29:14):
law to really put some teeth into. It and that's the.

Speaker 4 (01:29:17):

Changed in nineteen sixty, five twenty years after the end
Of World War, two there was a television show Called

(01:37:19):
bubbling stumbling, idiots but we laughed At. Nazis and here
we are today using the Term gestapo In. Nazis at
least some people on the progressive far left are describe
people who work at ice Or Maga republicans In as a,

(01:37:42):
result people are getting shot for. IT i THINK i
liked the nineteen sixty five view a little bit better
than what we've got going on. Today but, Anyway Ted
Cruz Senator Ted cruz pointing out the obvious that the
rhetoric is playing into all of, this that calling people

(01:38:04):
the gestapo In nazis is basically saying it's okay to
shoot these. People these people don't deserve to. Live that's
the seed that's been, planted and we're seeing more and
more of this. Violence this states to stop.

Speaker 3 (01:38:19):

can go straight to. Hell if you want to stop political,
violence stop telling your supporters that everybody who disagrees with
you is A.

Speaker 46 (01:38:49):
NAZI i think the rhetoric is obviously a, Problem BUT
i also think that some of these, politicians for as
reprehensible as their rhetoric, is they are not the leader
that these people who are doing the shooting are listening.
To those people are listening amongst. Themselves they're in a
weird bubble THAT i don't quite. UNDERSTAND i can't quite get.
There AND i feel like one of the things democrats

Speaker 4 (01:44:25):
Ten, well if somebody's paying for all this seven to
fifty two is their time here In houston's morning, news
and The George soros' names comes. Up his name comes
up all the, time And i'm sure some of the
groups that he funds are involved in this, stuff no
doubt about.

Speaker 3 (01:44:40):
Him but there's another.

Speaker 4 (01:44:42):
Name there's another, name and that name belongs to An
american who doesn't live in The United. States he lives In.
Singapore he's a billionaire as. Well his name Is Neville Roy.
Singham Here's Representative Anna Paul Lena luna who wants to
throw investigation into this guy and where his money's.

Speaker 39 (01:45:05):
Going, yeah, Yeah so he actually has been the number
one funder of these violent. Riots not even just, that
but a lot of the political division and discord that
you're seeing in this country goes back To. Singham he
obviously is a massive ally of The Communist Chinese party
and has actually made his billions directly working with, them

(01:45:26):
only to in turn funnel those efforts into organizations like
The party Of socialism And LIBERATION. Ria though this doesn't
just go back to those rights that we saw that
were protesting ice back In january of this. Year this
actually is a lot more. Nefarious he has OVER i
believe it's twelve different groups.

Speaker 17 (01:45:42):
That he's, funding one.

Speaker 39 (01:45:43):
Of which actually has ties to The Salt Lake City
queer group that was responsible being looked at for the
assassination Of Charlie. Kirk and so we're funding is these
organizations specifically that are focusing on issues that are dividing,
us whether it's based on race or. Class don't necessarily
even care about those topics at. Hand they're just using
it in an effort to sow. Discord and as you're

(01:46:05):
seeing with these violent, riots the money is going back To.
China he's not a registered foreign, agent and so he
needs to be investigated And i've also forwarded.

Speaker 17 (01:46:12):
It to The department Of justice as.

Speaker 39 (01:46:13):
Well it's not just to. Disrupt in, Fact Nevill singham
is an open self declared. Maoist he absolutely does not
like what this country stands. For and so what these
groups are doing everything from funding The Democrat socialists Of
america going into funding Counter israel, efforts Counter america. Efforts

(01:46:34):
but what they're attempting to do is if they can
sow enough discord here and back elected, officials especially that
support these ideologies that would essentially put The United states
as number two in the global. Order it is my
opinion and belief that he is working on behalf of
The chinese government to essentially Break, america and that's, what,
unfortunately some of these groups are. Doing you'll see that

(01:46:55):
the left wing media has largely just been focusing on
the clickbait content but not actually looking at who's funding,
it and seeing him is number. One i'd say that
he's probably number one big fish that we have in
regards to who's responsible for a lot of the divide
in this, country and it's going back all the way
to THE.

Speaker 17 (01:47:11):
Ccp now what's.

Speaker 39 (01:47:12):
Interesting about seeing him is he actually lives In china
majority of the, year did not respond To congress's requests
to have him to come, in so we did Ask
bessett to freeze. Assets but also you're seeing that far,
violation and WHAT i will tell you is The department
Of justice has a very easy lamp. Here they could
actually bring charges against. Him at the, Time Senator rubio
had actually written when he was ahead Of Senate Intelligence

(01:47:33):
committee To Merrick garland asking him to do. This Merrick
garland never, acted but we have all the evidence and
ability to do. So So i'm encouraging both The Attorney
general as well as Our Treasury secretary to.

Speaker 4 (01:47:43):
Act, now, okay so, yeah what are we waiting. For
it's not The biden administration. Anymore what are we waiting?

Speaker 3 (01:47:48):
For?

Speaker 4 (01:47:48):
So what else is on this guy's? Resume he's the
founder of this is how he got his. Billions he's
the founder of a software, company Thought. Works he's a
Pro palestinian protest so most of the Pro palestinian protests
you see come from organizations that he is. Funding he
joined a Radical marxist group at the age of. Seventeen

(01:48:11):
he lives In, shanghai has very close ties to The chinese,
government and he admires not Just, china but Also Hugo.
Chavez that's the kind of guy we're dealing with. Here
and he's An, american well he's An american by birth,
anyway certainly not An american by most of his. Actions

(01:48:32):
so when's THE doj going to get on this? Guy
that's WHAT i. Wonder if they're ever going to get on.
It you got to stop the, funding all. Right, listen,
y'all have a great. Day we'll see tomorrow, morning bright
early five. Am hope to see you this after four
