the new map puts Democrat al Greens district in an
area won by President Trump last year by fifteen points.
Miller predicts this will go to court. Meantime, California Governor

(02:45):
Gavin Newsom reportedly plans to push for redistricting in his
state if the new Texas map is approved. So, in
other words, bad for us, good for him, right, and
a new national superpack that back's Democrats has created a
twenty million dollar fund to stop redistricting. Well, that sounds
like a lot of money. Experts data it'll have any

(03:06):
impact at all.

Speaker 9 (03:07):
Rout in Texas especially, I mean Greg Abbotts raised almost
eighty million dollars already for an unannounced gubernatorial campaign.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Political scientist John Taylor calls it a waste of money.
Then again, Texas Democrats are trying to stop all of
this by asking you to give them cash so that
they can run away instead of legislat This is.

Speaker 10 (03:28):
Being called out as an example of Democrats just being
sore losers.

Speaker 11 (03:31):
It's a shame and weak leadership from the Democratic side.
They're not allowing the democratic process.

coming up at five point thirty. It's five oh for
a bombshell from Washington. Fox is reporting that FBI Director
Cash Patel has found thousands of sensitive documents related to

(04:23):
the origins of the Trump Russia probe. They were buried
in multiple burn bags in his secret room inside the FBI.

Speaker 13 (04:31):
Absolutely nothing shocks me about what may have happened at
the FBI. That's one of the reasons.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
That I left retired.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
FBiH and Nicole Parker talking to KTRH is Sean Hennity.
This is just more proof that the Obama led Russia
hoax was worse than we thought.

Speaker 14 (04:47):
This is the case where the outgoing administration of Barack
Obama conspired to thwart the will of the American electorate
in electing Donald Trump to office.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
You can't have an.

Speaker 14 (04:56):
Intelligence community that are willing to do the kinds of
things that Brennan and Camy and Cropper did with Obama,
say so.

Speaker 5 (05:04):

interest rate.

Speaker 15 (05:28):
The Federal Reserve holding interest rates steady for the fifth
straight meeting, and based on FED Chair Jerome Powell's comments,
there is no guarantee of a rate cut at their
next meeting. Financial planner Richard Rosso says Powell continues his
tariff derangement syndrome.

Speaker 16 (05:40):
Frankly, he is not going to cut rage as much
as President Trump wandson anyway. But now we have to
price in the fact that maybe we don't get a
rate cut in September. So this Federal Reserve interest rate
cat and mouse game continues.

Speaker 15 (05:53):
Markets had heavily favor a rate cut in September, but
that outlook is now down to just fifty to fifty.
Corey Jolson News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Second quarter GDP grew at an annualized rate of three percent,
well above expectations.

Speaker 17 (06:06):
Most people thought that tariffs would tank the economy, and
that simply isn't happening. We're seeing the tariffs get absorbed
and consumer spending.

Speaker 18 (06:15):
Continues to be strong, and this is good news.

Speaker 17 (06:18):
The better news will be Kennon continue next quarter and

The world is listening and the entire world is watching.
Check in at the top of the hour.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
We devastated the Iranian nuclear program on US Radio seven
forty KTRH.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
I love me some food. Pretty clear by looking, I
mean I don't miss too many meals. Five oh Eit
is our time here in Houston's morning news right A
pall of thousands of Americans to find out which is
the most hated food in America, and we have the
top ten. We're going in reverse order. Number ten sushi.
Thirty eight percent of US hate sushi. Twenty three percent

(07:42):
of us love sushi. I would be one of them.
I like sushi. I like it a lot, certainly don't
hate it. Number nine Chitlins. Thirty nine percent of Americas
hate Chittlands. They'd probably be higher people actually knew what
they were. They're pig intestines. I'm just saying that I've
done Chitlin's I've got I would include that on my

(08:03):
hate list. Number eight blue cheese. You know I used
to not like blue cheese as a child. I'd love
it as an adult thirty nine percent. Number seven oysters.
It's the consistency of oysters that bother me. It's kind
of like snot. It's like eating snot unless they're cooked.

(08:23):
If they're cooked, they're fine, but not raw oysters. Number
six caviar, fish eggs. I like caviar, don't eat it
very often. Number five squid. If you don't like squid,
maybe you haven't had a prepared ride. Number four tofu
Forty six percent of us hate tofu. Number three sardines
fifty two percent hate or dislike them. Number two liver, Yes,

(08:47):
I agree. Liver fifty five percent had the actual highest
hate rating at forty percent. Only thirty six percent fully hate.
And chovies, which came in number one, because if you
put together hate and dislike, fifty six percent of us dislike.
Anchovies came in number one. The little fish they put
in Caesar salad, and sometimes people get on pizzas. Of

(09:11):
all these things of the top ten list, there's only
two things that I don't like on this top ten
list of things that people hate. So the guy, you know,
to each their own right. Everybody's taste buds are different.
So here's our question today. You go the iHeartRadio app
ktr H makes as number one hundred. Preset. Please when
you get there, hit the talkback button up to thirty seconds.
First name where you're calling from. Food you hate the most,

(09:32):
food you love the most. Let's do both. Five to
ten right now. Runny eggs, running eggs. You hate running eggs.
They make me gag. Okay, all right, what's that?

Speaker 19 (09:41):
What is that?

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Dish terry? What's that?

Speaker 4 (09:43):
It's kind of fancy. They make it with eggs and
it's a oh eggs benedict. Yeah, you don't like you
don't like holiday sauce. Yeah, this guy made I know,
Holliday sauce. Okay, this guy made eggs benedict.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
And see the thing is, I don't like poached eggs,
running poached eggs. I'll eat any so I ate it
just to be nice. All right, let's get your East
text out. I know I've done that before.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
Let's get your East text here, dude, what's going on
seven one three two one two T.

Speaker 18 (10:09):
I p s.

Speaker 19 (10:09):
Yeah, my man, fast mackery going on the errols out
about a mile before the two forty two.

Speaker 20 (10:17):
It's weird it did.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Yeah, I got it that the digitals.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
We're still waiting for somebody to give me some laneage
and tell me what's happening there. I strongly suspect police
activity at the exit ramp to Circle K and Flying
J and Denny's. And this is inbound right where you
don't need it. How in the world do you get
around that stuff? Go through Patent Village?

Speaker 3 (10:35):
My word?

Speaker 4 (10:36):
All right, we're gonna keep an eye on that and
we'll I think we'll know exactly what the langage is
at five twenty rest of your freeways. They did pick
up that ignorance. Downtown. I tend the ramp to forty
five was closed. It's now reopened. I'm skymke at your
USA RV Resorts dot com traffic.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Center from r ktr H top NAXX Defenders twenty four.
Our wathers downitarios here. Whether's the food you hate the most?

Speaker 6 (10:57):
Here's a weird one.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Cabbage really cabbage, okay with this stuffed cabbine, so stuff cabbage,
so boiled, boiled cabbage. You don't like your cabbage boiled?
How about Cosla.

Speaker 21 (11:12):
Coleslaw can be okay if I'm not big into the
mayonnaise type, but the Vinneger type.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Is okay, okay, all right, So it's it's it's it's
the boiled cabbage. It's the cooking the cabbage.

Speaker 6 (11:22):
It just smelled so bad.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Cabbage and sausage. What about that? She just okay, you
leave the sausage, You'll leave the cabbage. Chemouche Okay, I'm out.

Speaker 21 (11:32):
Yeah, Okay, this is going to be a fun morning,
I can tell. And at this point I have no appetite.
So we're on a roll. Uh And speaking of being
on a roll. We're finally starting to get some rain
to show up here in southeast Texas, and we're going
to get some rain the next couple of days. I'm
watching showers right now over towards Beaumont and near the coast,

(11:56):
and it's making its way southwest, so we may get
some of that in here a little later on this morning.
There's not a lot of rain today, thirty percent chance
of showers and thunderstorms. It's going to be a hot day,
very much like what we had yesterday, mid to upper nineties.
Our rain chances will increase though tomorrow into the weekend
and increase in the moisture from the Gulf. Forty percent

(12:17):
chance of showers and storms tomorrow, fifty percent chance of
getting wet over the weekend, and still dealing with some
rain Monday, when everybody's heading back to work.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Right now, it's eighty two at your official severe weather station,
News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
It's Houston's Morning News, brought to you byen New South
Windows Solutions. Now back to Jimmy Barrits and the Houston
Morning News team.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
All the info you need did take on the day,
So I don't know if I did this on the
morning show yesterday, or if I did it on the
afternoon show in KPRC. I think I just did it
on the afternoon show. Yesterday was the fiftieth anniversary of
the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa outside of suburban Detroit fifty
years ago yesterday he disappeared. They have a fairly good idea,

(13:01):
or they think, well, they think they know what happened.
What they don't know is where he is. His son,
James P. Hoffer, wants the FBI to reopen the half
of files so we can see what's in there. More
on that story coming up next. First, though, traffic and
weather together. I think he's at the rodeo. He's still
walking around the yellow lot. Look car. Who's just saying

(13:23):
he's underneath the rodeo. Most people put him underneath something's coming, Yeah,
like Giant Stadium. I forgot about that, Jimmy. All right,
let's do E's text. Help me out. Where's everybody at?
He's text?

Speaker 4 (13:32):
Come on, tell me, I don't think you're able to
get to the LANEAE right now. You're all backed up
coming down from Splendora and Shane from Tarkington says we're
at a dead stop. Whatever's happening at two forty two?
Nothing good. So if we can get around a lot
of you, especially if you're from Tarkingden, you can.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Go through Dayton instead.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
So and there's a lot of good ways to get
around Dayton now that they have Graham park Way.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
You don't get stuck at the train. Carlos from Dickinson's
on the tip line.

Speaker 22 (13:55):
Good morning, got my They're talking to someone on the

Walmart and eating crawfish and playing together.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
Did just call me if you feel like that.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
I'm in the USA RB Resorts dot Com traffic Center promo.

Speaker 23 (15:20):
The Pope elected.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
He's Radio seven k t RH.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Yeah, well, you know, five twenty three at a time
here in Houston's Fornyduce. All right. The disappearance of Jimmy
Hoffer mob related, no doubt, no doubt my mind about that.
I'm guessing if James P. Hoffer could get his hands
on his father's FBI file, there'd be a couple of
Jackalonis who would appear in there. It was all a
fight over who was going to be in control of

(15:47):
the Teamsters union. That's what it was all about. Here's
the James Hoffa on Fox yesterday talking about his father's case.
Why have you decided to speak out now?

Speaker 20 (15:55):
And why?

Speaker 24 (15:56):
To me?

Speaker 25 (15:57):
Well, it's been fifty years and Fox has followed this
all the way and it's an incredible story.

Speaker 24 (16:02):
Offa a former Teamster's president himself says, then Teamster's boss
Frank Fitzsimmons teamed up with the Detroit mafia, specifically the
Jackaloney brothers to kill his father. Vito JACKLONEI, known as
Billy Jack, is seen here on the left. His older brother,
Anthony or Tony Jack is on the right.

Speaker 25 (16:21):
I think fitz Simmons was afraid the Huffa coming back
and he says, I want this job. I want to
keep this job, and the mob didn't want him back,
and I think they got together they say, how do
we make sure he doesn't come back? Because they were
afraid because they knew if he had if he did
come back, he would win the election and he would
pick back the union. And they knew that and the
only way to stop him was to kill him.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Anthony Jackaloney.

Speaker 24 (16:45):
Tony Jack had an alibi that day, but his brother
Vito Jackloney, known as Billy Jack, did not.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
Who do you think picked your father? I would say,
Billy Jackloney. These guys are gangsters.

Speaker 25 (16:56):
I mean they looked like gangsters and actor by gangsters,
and I just think they were Connie my dad into
getting his fai that I can help you, but we'll
have a meeting, basically setting him up to murder him.
They actually got together to kill him because they couldn't
stop him.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Any other way.

Speaker 24 (17:13):
Some investigators think this is where Hoffer was killed a
house owned by Detroit mobster Carlo Likatta. Huff's body may
have been taken to a mob owned waste plant Central
Sanitation Services and disposed of being a shredder or incinerator.

Speaker 25 (17:27):
It's a hole in our heart because no matter what
goes on, as the yours go on, there's still that
hole about not having a proper funeral, a proper gravesite
basically to say goodbye, and we do not have closure
even after fifty years, and it does it hurts our family.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Now, if you're wondering what the mob connection might have been.
Why was the Teamsters involved with the mob? He's kind
of like a think of all those Teamsters union dues
in the millions of dollars the Teamsters had control over that,
you know, could be used by the Mob for money
laundering in a whole variety of different things. Yeah, they

(18:08):
were in bed with that Fitzimmons dude, and they couldn't
control Jimmy Hofferer. So Jimmy Hoffe had to go five
twenty six. Time to take a look at your money.
As we chick in with Jeff Bellingcher. Good morning and
good morning to you, Jimmy. No change in the cost
of borrowing the Federal Reserve as expected, left infrast rates unchanged.
What was a bit of a surprise, though, was that

(18:29):
central bankers were not unanimous this time around. FED Governors
Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman both favored and immediate rate cut.
Stocks ended mixed after the Fed decision. There was some
disappointment on Wall Street. The Dow fell four tenths percent,
the S and P five hundred closed a tenth of
a percent lower, The Nasdaq closed two tenths percent higher.

(18:50):
Investors have really gotten over any disappointment, though, because of
some positive earnings reports from the tech sector. Microsoft is
about to reach a milestone after hosting better than expected
quarterly results. The software giant will become only the second
company in the world with a market cap of four
trillion dollars and metal platforms. Quarterly results also top Wall

(19:12):
Street forecast very handily and futures are sharply higher. This morning,

It's five point thirty one on KTRH, our top story
this hour.

Speaker 31 (21:15):
Texas has a choice to make. We know for a
fact this stuff's not good.

Speaker 5 (21:19):
Texas State Senator Charles Perry. His bill demand products with
THCHC passes the Senate yesterday, despite a veto from the
governor during the regular session. There's no word on whether
or not the House is going to take this up
at all. Lawmakers also finally release their map for redistricting.
If passed, al Green's district would be one of the
five that they have targeted will have more At six o'clock. Meantime,

(21:44):
lawmakers are set to be in Kerrville today for hearing
on the deadly July fourth flooding.

Speaker 32 (21:49):
Witnesses that today's hearing will be city and county leaders, meteorologists,
and maybe most importantly, people affected by the fourth of
July flood. State Senator Jose Mendez, who sits on the
Select Committee, says, there have been sirens going off to
warn them about the weather.

Speaker 22 (22:02):
We do is look at the other counties where the
loss of life was a lot, lest many of them
had sirens.

Speaker 32 (22:09):
There's also expected to be questions about why the Upper
Guadalupe River Authority decided to lower property taxes rather than
upgrade a flood warning system. A wall of water killed
at least one hundred and eight people in Kirk County alone.
Michael Board News Radio seven forty KTRH five point thirty three.

Speaker 5 (22:25):
Governor Rabbit will be in Amarillo today signing the new
law to ban cell phone use in class.

Speaker 6 (22:31):
With some kids starting school next week.

Speaker 33 (22:34):
And according to a new Pew Research poll, support for
banning cell phones has gone up.

Speaker 27 (22:40):
Absolutely, school is not a social function. It is a
time to learn.

Speaker 33 (22:44):
That is Texas based education expert Jean Burke, who says,
hopefully there won't be any problems here in Texas.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
I do think it's going to go well.

Speaker 27 (22:53):
There's going to be a lot of pushback. It's going
to be hard in the beginning, but it's going to

Speaker 33 (23:02):
Seventy four percent of US adults now support cell phoned bands.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Jeff Biggs News Radio seven forty key tieries.

Speaker 6 (23:10):
And there's this.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
The state will be getting a massive influx of federal
money six hundred and sixty million dollars from the Department
of Education to be exact. The downside is it can
go to walk programs like Girls Inc. And My Brother's Keeper.

Speaker 34 (23:23):
These organizations have big left wingers go right around all
the bands and just thumb their nose. They go around
the DAT bands, they go around the crchifas they've gotten
so bone now they just literally put it on their website.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
Education policy expert Carol Haynes says the legislature and parents
need to be conducting strong oversight of school districts and
how they spend this money. It's five point thirty four.
President Trump is not happy that the Federal Reserve kept
interest rates unchanged, especially after second quarter GDP came in
much higher than expected, and with inflation under control.

Speaker 31 (23:55):
What you do is you lower them and let's see
if there's inflation.

Speaker 35 (23:58):
Right now, there's no inflation every but he thought that
would be all we have is billions of dollars of
cash pouring into our country.

Speaker 5 (24:05):
Mainstream media eats some crow. The liberal New York Times
now admits Trump is having a successful second term. Columnist
Brett Stevens wrote a column this week saying, quote Trump
is starting to have a much more successful presidency.

Speaker 6 (24:19):
This is not what we his foam at the mouth
critics had planned or perhaps secretly hoped for. End quote.
And then there's this.

Speaker 5 (24:28):
Kamala Harris decides not to run for the governor of
California next year. In now their speculations she could try
to run for president again in twenty twenty eight. A
Silversight Committee chairman James Comer says, if she wants to
do it, that's just fine with him.

Speaker 36 (24:43):
If the Democrats want to officially nominate her once, which
I doubt they will, I'm all for it because I'm
confident we'll have another Republican president.

Speaker 6 (24:50):
Comor on Fox.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
Meantime, Harris County Judge Lena Hidalgo has yet to announce
whether or not she'll seek a third term. Now, even
the Houston Chronicles editorial board calling her out.

Speaker 23 (25:01):
The appeal and the confidence that people have in her
leadership has declined steadily since her first selection. Voters have
become not only disenchanted, but disolution with their leadership.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
Political analyst led Davidiot. There By the way, the Koran
only went after Hidalgo. Now that mayor, former mayor, a
niece Parker got into the race to challenge her. And
then there's New York City socialist zor On Mom Donnie
called out after a New York cup shot and killed
this week. He previously had wanted to defund the police.
Mom Donnie, well, he's now in full spin mode.

Speaker 37 (25:34):
What I have said time and time again is the
campaign that I am leading, the campaign that I am
asking New Yorkers to consider, is one that has been
clear on its public safety approach. It's one that speaks
about a desire to work with police officers.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
Yep, talk about doing your one eighty. It's five point

take the rubber match of the series with Washington.

pretty deep to left. It sends back what at the
wall looking up see a letter into the lantry's crawfit boxes.
A three run shot for Jose Altuve and a four

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Wouldn't put a keg am, I asking, but wouldn't mind
having one at the headstone, right, so people guaranteed to
have visitors, people who'd come to pay their respects. This
is I think just unfortunately, this has become just par
for the course for left leaning activists, the progressives, who

(27:06):
are so angry these days that they are prone to violence,
and they think their violence is justified. In their minds,
they think the violence is justified. Now, this isn't particularly
an active violence, but it certainly would intimate that an
attack of violence is coming. Protesters caught on camera delivering
a coffin to represented Brian Steele. He's a Republican for

(27:29):
Wisconsin who oversees the committee that is addressing increasing threats
to Congress. How ironic is that? So these activists were
dressed like they were in a funeral going to all
older By the way, these are all baby boomers in
this photo, all of them. They're all baby boomers from

(27:50):
the protest generation. The lead protester is flying an American
flag upside down, and there's a seat two for six
of them carrying this coffin which they left to the
front door of this Republican congressman. Now, is it safe
to say that putting a coffin at somebody's door is
a death threat? Is that not? Is there any way

(28:12):
that you could misconstrue it as anything else. Aren't you
basically saying stop what you're doing, or will kill you
or we'd like to see you dead. Now doesn't mean
that anybody's actually going to attempt to kill this guy,
but it's a threat. It's a death threat, nonetheless, and
I can assure you that there are people who are

(28:34):
willing to do that, are probably willing to physically attack
you as well. Five forty time for traffic and weather

they've talked this person down and you know, take them
back somewhere where they'll be happy. All right, we've got

Speaker 3 (35:23):
Ten you ever heard of a burn? Bag i've? Never?
Did you? Know THE fbi has burn? Bags evidently this
is what they put you, know sensitive information or files.
Into they put them into these bags and they take
them to the, Incinerator, yeah to destroy the. Evidence evidently

(35:44):
Cash battel found a bunch of burn bags that have
information related to The russia hoax in. Them isn't that?
Nice from last Night's Sean Hennity, show FORMER fbi field
Investigator Special Agent Nicole park worker In fox legal Analyst
Greg jarrett on this finding and what it may. Mean that's.

Speaker 13 (36:04):
Right, so first of, All i'm not shocked by anything
that we're. Hearing having worked there for over a dozen,
years absolutely nothing shocks me about what may have happened
at THE. Fbi that's one of the reasons THAT i.
Left but WHEN i hear burn, bag that's common lingo
inside THE, fbi all, documentation, documents anything that you basically
use or touch at THE fbi goes into a burn,

(36:25):
bag and sometimes you just read the, documents sometimes you
just put them straight to the burn. Bag but those
documents are literally escorted to an incinerator by armed. AGENTS i,
mean it's a very serious process because we must take
our documentation very seriously at THE, fbi and that is
what they. Do and so to hear that documentation was

(36:48):
found AT fbi headquarters in burn bags that were never
taken to an incinerator is. Baffling but at the same,
time it's not Baffling, Sean and there are a number
of reasons that could have. OCCURRED i wouldn't be shocked
if it was just someone that wasn't doing their, job
or someone that just put them in a room and,
thought you know, what someone else will deal with, that

(37:08):
or if it was someone who is high level in
THE fbi and isn't actually familiar with what the rank
and file agents do and taking things to the incinerator
to have. Burned there are a number of reasons that
this could have, occurred but the key is that these
documents were.

Speaker 41 (37:22):
Found attempting to destroy or conceal evidence is the crime
of obstruction of justice sean if it's done to hide
documents relevant to a criminal or congressional investigation or in
anticipation of.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
Want so these.

Speaker 41 (37:40):
Documents are not just, relevant they may be. Pivotal so
that's point number one on. Obstruction point number two Is
Senator Charles grassley has been investigating the collusion hoaks in
those behind it for, years which is why these burnbag
documents were turned over to. Him so the question, becomes you,

(38:01):
know who ordered the plan? Burning why did they do?
It although the why to me seems readily self. Evidence
whoever was involved was trying to conceal evidence that they
didn't like things that might implicate. Them and it doesn't
matter if the material was, classified you still cannot destroy.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
It if it relates to an. Investigation so so was
it incompetence that led to these bags not being? Burned?
Me because The russia hoax thing happened several years. Ago
this is you, know this is this is not new
information that it was just waiting to Be this is
sitting around. Somewhere somebody dropped the. Ball thank, goodness somebody

Today, well here's some computer chips are gonna be made
here In TEXAS ai. Chips at six twenty two here
On Houston's Morning, News Colin Madine, barbin tech editor Of Breitbart,
news joins, us this is big, news is it.

Speaker 18 (53:48):
Not, Absolutely. JIMMY i, mean this is a combination of
something That Donald trump and conservatives have been saying for
a long, time which is we should be making really
the highest, tech you, know the most complicated products in
the world here In america and especially In.

Speaker 3 (54:06):
Texas. Yeah so sixteen and a half million dollar deal
that was struck evidently Between Elon musk Of tesla And
samsung to build these, chips and the manufacturing is going
to happen In, Taylor. Texas.

Speaker 18 (54:18):
Well what's particularly noteworthy about, this you, know sixteen billion
dollar deal With samsung here For tesla is in the,
past these companies.

Speaker 20 (54:30):
Mostly out Of.

Speaker 18 (54:31):
Asia another major one IS tsmc out Of. Taiwan they
would take these big contracts From america and they set
up shop In, china you, know other parts Of, asia
and then they ship the chips over. Here suddenly all
these companies are, realizing, hey we can do this actually

(54:52):
better In. America and it goes against a lot of
WHAT i heard in Corporate america for more than a,
decade you, know working in high tech, firms which, is
we can't do this In. America you, Know americans can't handle.
This we can't do high tech. Manufacturing we've got to
go To. China so suddenly they're singing in a different.

Speaker 3 (55:11):
Tune. Yeah, well and certainly The president has had a
whole lot to do with. That but clearly there are
other company leaders who are beginning to wake up to the.
Idea and maybe it has something to do with the.
TARIFFS i don't, know probably does have something to do
with the. Tariffs there makes them think, that, okay maybe
instead of dealing with, tariffs let's just go ahead and
manufacture in The United. States we can make this, Happen.

Speaker 18 (55:34):
Jimmy the tariffs have a lot to do with, this
because when you're one of the top companies in the,
world a big thing that you concentrate on and keeps
you awake at night is. Risk how DO i cut my?
Risk how DO i prevent waking up one day and
there's no chips to put in my cards or put
in My apple. Laptops that's what they think, about even

(55:56):
more than say the individual unit cost of these chips,
suddenly you. Know so to your, point customers Like, Tesla,
apple And nvidia are saying to their, partners, hey what
are you going to do to lower my? Risk and
under The trump, administration that answer is almost always we're

(56:18):
setting up Shopping america because that removes most of the
risk of, terrafts you, know other. Problems you, know in
some cases we've seen countries trying to fight back Against american.
Teriffs that's going to complicate. Things so the answer for
all these questions, is let's come To. America texas has
stepped up and said we're going to be the best

(56:39):
place to do business In. America that's what's most interesting
to me is all these companies are coming To texas
with you, know some coming To arizona as, well But
texas has kind of set up shop as the place
to make high tech.

Speaker 3 (56:52):
Manufacturing, yeah what what do you think might be? Next
computer chips? Today what might be? Next what are some
other are we going to get into the precious metal?
Business do you? Think?

Speaker 18 (57:02):
So you, know when we talk about precious metals for,
electronics we're really talking about what are called rare earth
minerals or rare earth metals there's no question to, me
there's rare earth minerals In. Texas you, Know texas is
so big and so diverse everything From. Texas the problem
with rare earth minerals is they're very tricky and expensive

(57:24):
to mine unless you just want to destroy the, environment
which is How china kind of corner the market on these,
things because they're willing to destroy anything and kill anyone
to get control of the. Market so if that on
that end will depend on, uh finding minable, pockets you,
know finding actual minds. Open much like gold, mining you

(57:47):
have to find this stuff before you can mine.

Speaker 3 (57:49):
It WHAT i.

Speaker 18 (57:50):
Would be more likely to see is more, manufacturing you,
know on a larger. Scale so for, Example Donald trump
is talk for many years about how we should Make
apple should make iPhones in The United states from top to,
bottom and everyone laughs on, them poopoos. Them we probably
should be doing, that And texas is more than capable

(58:13):
of producing, iPhones you, know from base. MATERIALS i think
that's pretty likely to happen in the next few years
because you, know all this work being done By samsung
And video and Even apple's already doing stuff In. Texas
it's sort of a proof of concept to Say american
can do. This more, Specifically texas can do.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
This all, right, sir good to talk to. You, thanks
appreciate your time this. Morning That's Colin, madine tech editor

news brought to you buying new south wind. Those, solutions so, as,
expected Yesterday the fed left interest. Rates alone what's a

(01:11:15):
little bit different about, this, one though is two members
Of the. Fed dissented that hasn't happened in over thirty,
five years where two members of the Of The federal
reserve disagreed With the chair Of The federal reserve in,
This Case, jerome powell by saying that they thought the
interest rates should be, cut immediately and he didn't do it,

(01:11:39):
as Usual there's, fed speak there's a language that goes
along with whatever their statement is about, either, raising lowering
or leaving interest. Rates alone they were analyzing That On fox.
Business yesterday i'll share some of that with you coming. Up, next,

SEVEN, Forty, ktright o well if only we Could get
the fed out, of, our head right if only they would?
Lower interest rates what the hell are? They, Waiting For
well jerome, paul's the problem and he is not. Changing
a lick they were talking About It on fox business
yesterday and looking into the language OF what the fed,

(01:13:50):
had TO say and fed speak is always. Always the
case So Here here's charles pain And His.

Speaker 49 (01:13:55):
Guest nick Timers Of The, wall street journal published at
nine O'clock, last night eastern basically previewing the two. Descents
to come meaning if they still changed the language, of
the statement then he's appeasing somebody else who also. Wanted
to dissent my guess would be that That Would be austin
Goolsby Of.

Speaker 6 (01:14:13):
The chicago fed but.

Speaker 3 (01:14:14):
They did change, normally a dove? Or does it.

Speaker 49 (01:14:17):
Chicago's, Always a dove so, if he's not he's having
it out. Of body experience but, they did say continue
to expand they got, rid of that and they said that,
the economy moderated so they definitely toned. The language down
and again every single word of these statements is pursed,
over very carefully so that language was changed for, somebody
and says.

Speaker 3 (01:14:36):
You zeroed in, on that too.

Speaker 50 (01:14:38):
The moderated thing what exactly is THE is the fed
give themselves, cover, to say, okay you know is this
a slight pivot that maybe bulls were hoping for and
anyone else who wanted to see some relief from the
high from the.

Speaker 51 (01:14:51):
HIGHER rates here i think that's exactly.

Speaker 6 (01:14:53):
What it is it.

Speaker 3 (01:14:53):
Is a pivot it is opening that door.

Speaker 51 (01:14:55):
Ever, so slightly charles if you LOOK, at the gdp
despite the headline print that was really, you do, see
for example fixed investment that, was REALLY sluggish and i
think some of that had to do due to business confidence.

Speaker 6 (01:15:06):
Been also.

Speaker 51 (01:15:07):
Sluggish you know, The, OTHER thing charles i really noticed
in the statement is this notion of uncertainty. That is
Elevated and so i'm really going to be looking forward
To how does powell characterize what can happen to. Bring
uncertainty down one interesting thing is if the tariff Charge
back in april was.

Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
About three PERCENT then now.

Speaker 51 (01:15:24):
I think we're assessing that somewhere six or seven or
nine percent is the actual tariff.

Speaker 3 (01:15:28):
That's being charged now.

Speaker 51 (01:15:30):
That we got the slew, of deals done we were
likely to see that. Fifteen PERCENT tariff so i assume
the ascertainty that he wants to see alleviated is what
happens to inflation when we have the. FULL fifteen percent
i think there, will be offsets but that's the uncertainty.

Speaker 2 (01:15:44):
That, likely focusing.

Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
Okay, So you know paul evidently still concerned that the
tariffs are going to. Lead to inflation we have the
inflation rate right now is two, point one percent, right,
almost well actually over the course of the last four,
months or so it's been like one, Point seven percent
so THAT'S below. The fed target so there's no reason

(01:16:07):
seemingly not to, lower Interest Rates except jerome powell keeps
insisting that he's worried that the tariffs are going to.
Lead to inflation they haven't. Done it yet maybe if there,
is no inflation or or the inflation ratio is around
two percent by the time they meet Next, month at
august then maybe maybe, then we'll, see all right time

toward us but not a whole lot of rain, at
the moment really not a whole lot. Of rain today
i'm saying a thirty percent. Chance of thundershowers we actually
a little. More than that we'll see how. The afternoon
goes that's where the bulk of the. Rain will be mid,
upper nineties today forty percent chance of. Those thunderstorms tomorrow

(01:30:09):
most of this will be in the afternoon, middupper nineties
tomorrow fifty percent chance of rain, over the weekend forty
percent chance Of. More rain monday this is kind of,

Got the rain it's not going to, be too, problematic.

Speaker 3 (01:30:24):
All right right now eighty two at your official, Severe
Weather station news radio SEVEN. Forty, k trh so yesterday
we were telling you about the HEAD, Of The, epa
lee zelden and The rollback of obama era rule basically
saying that that the the environment was in danger and

(01:30:46):
THAT'S how the epa managed to do a lot of
their regulations. That impacted business Here is lee zelden yesterday
explaining why he's. ROLLING that back i.

Speaker 54 (01:30:55):
Feel Like the supreme court clipped the wings of AGENCIES
like the epa in recent decisions like Loperbright Overturning the
chevron doctrine as IT. Relates to epa There Were additional
Supreme Court cases.

Speaker 6 (01:31:07):
WEST, Virginia vers.

Speaker 54 (01:31:08):
EPA, michigan vers, cpa and.

Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
Elsewhere saying that where there's.

Speaker 54 (01:31:13):
Language that is vague inside of, a congressional statute, in
this case We're talking about section two h Two Of
The clean AIR act the epa can't just fill in
those gaps however they creatively want to and then use
that creative interpretation to then inflict trillions of dollars worth.

Speaker 3 (01:31:31):
Of economic Pain on.

Speaker 54 (01:31:32):
The american People What the supreme Court ruled in loperbright
is that agencies. Cannot do That And The major policy
doctrine also says that in a, case like this where
there's trillions of dollars, worth of regulations that that also
is a matter that should not be determined. By agencies

(01:31:52):
unilaterally so we're living in a different dynamic right now in,
twenty twenty five Post All the, supreme COURT decision and
i believe that we Should that if Congress and the
american people want an, electric vehicle mandate if they want
trillions of, dollars in regulations if they want to regulate
out of existence sectors of Our economy like cole and,

(01:32:13):
so much more then that's Something that the american public should,
be Voting on that congress should be debating, and voting
on and that should be, part of statute not for Some.

Speaker 3 (01:32:21):
Bureaucrat. In, washington amen, Brother All right kyle son. Is

It's happening in our hometown it's always something as WILL.

Speaker 3 (01:34:01):
Be, use radio seven ktrh yeah running away is Not.
A chief proposition for democrats seven twenty three Is that
time here, in houston's warning, news Because among other things
the house back in twenty twenty three passed five hundred
dollars per day fines under house rules if if you,

(01:34:21):
skip out on the quorum if you if you hit.
The hell out of. Dodges We were just Saying Kyle
sinclair JOINS us. BEAR county gop. Co chair i don't
know it's. FIVE hundred dollars a day i guess that's
not enough to keep them from. Trying, TO pull this
off yeah. I.

Speaker 20 (01:34:36):
Don't think so, EITHER morning by the way i appreciate you. Having,
ME on the show.

Speaker 55 (01:34:38):
YEAH i don't Think so i mean what i'm hearing
is it's a million dollars a month and they're lining
up some big backers.

Speaker 3 (01:34:44):
To, support this radical idea look they tried. Doing it in.

Speaker 55 (01:34:47):
Twenty one it didn't work they tried, doing it in,
twenty three it didn't work and it's not. Going to
work again here this Is The problem with the democratic
party and, why they continue to lose is that the
Favor Is in in that President. Trump wants to Help,
america He, won the President. The senate in the house
and we've seen the same Thing in The State, Of
Texas With, governor abbott Lieutenant Governor Patrick. And turning general

(01:35:11):
keim paxton this is a, conservative state.

Speaker 3 (01:35:13):
And getting stronger all right so we know it won't
work because the governor will just call another special session
when they when. They get back into town you can
only only, run away for so long do. They have
in your mind i'm, Sure not in your mind but
do you do you think they have any legitimate complaint
about the plan that's Been. Drawn up by the republicans

(01:35:34):
we're hearing that the way the lines are drawn, up
from this new plan There'd probably be five NEW Republican
representatives in the us house as a, result of these
new lines.

Speaker 55 (01:35:44):
Correct the ones that, actually just put out yesterday you're
picking An, additional seat Up In, dallas one In, san
antonio one in houston and then. And two, across the,
BORDER so yeah you know i think there's always going
to be some legal fighting of, any map that comes out.

Speaker 20 (01:35:59):
Especially if they're losing seats.

Speaker 55 (01:36:01):
Here's Where you know When they're texas and the republicans
are doing The right when you Get governor neuscamb out.
Of california complaining about it When You get people Like
Lazy castro out of san antonio getting off his. Ass
and actually saying something So When you start In, jasmin,
crockett out of houston right when you get those type
of people actually, voice and concern over something you know

(01:36:22):
you're right on the target.

Speaker 3 (01:36:24):
And, doing the right thing okay so let's assume that.
Everybody gets together this, thing this thing ultimately passes, it'll.
Go under federal scrutiny certainly do you think it? Will?
STAND up to that yeah i think these.

Speaker 55 (01:36:37):
MAPS are, going, to pass i mean look every state,
has the power to redistrict, and especially under their constitution
the elections are. Held In the state level so texas has.
Every right to Do That and if the, democratic party
doesn't like it. They need to win elections and so
they've got to be able to stand up.

Speaker 20 (01:36:52):
To these elections and win and.

Speaker 55 (01:36:53):
Unfortunately They have Not Won and texas under president trump
got even more conservative and so. They lost EVEN more seats.
And so, i do think you. Know they're going to
fight you're going to see the wailing and the nashing and.
The complaining and the lawsuits by, the end of the
day this is going.

Speaker 3 (01:37:09):

Well here's a, reason you might want to slow down at.
LEAST for the next couple of days I got this
little Missive From the Pr. Firm for the texas department
of transportation They're Doing, A Speeding. Prevention campaign called be
safe drive smart, speeding is the number one contributing factor We're.
Told in, traffic crashes here in texas last year there

(01:45:48):
were nearly one hundred sixty Thousand speed. Related crashes in
the lone star state four, hundred and sixty seven people
were killed nine hundred and twenty. One were seriously injured
as a result so They Have Decided, is a part
Of operation slowed. Down which EVIDENTLY started july the eighteenth?
How come i just got this yesterday how come? They

(01:46:13):
just set This to me, Yesterday If it started July,
The eighteenth, from july Eighteenth. Through, sunday august third that's this.
Sunday oh now that it's almost over they want you
to know you're supposed to slow Down because if, you
slowed down before july the eighteenth then they wouldn't. Be
able to write as many tickets have you noticed an
increase In Police on. FREEWAYS here in, the greater houston

(01:46:38):
area I haven't. NOTICED at least the routes i drive.
I haven't noticed, any difference, about it but they are.
You know trying that campaign to me you would have
told me about this sooner if. YOU really wanted me
to slow down, i THINK this is. About you know
maybe i. Don't know this is this about revenue most
police departments these days don't have quotas like they. Used

(01:47:02):
to do back IN the day you have to write
X amount of tickets per shift or x amount of.
Tickets per month kind of a thing but usually usually,
when they have, these campaigns come out they you know
it's got as, much to do with the you know
generating some speeding. Revenue as it does with anything else
seven forty time for traffic and weather together, to me
and they see dollar signs they you. Have, Contributed. More

(01:47:23):
than your fair shares guy mike. Let's look now at.

(01:48:14):
ways plus they're. Doing, All, kinds of reroute. And craziness
oh terry you're a scientist that taker that overturned has,
Forty four thousand pounds of zinc. Chloride so you know what,

it will it won't blow up but it.

Speaker 3 (01:48:31):

bunch from generator or a Supercenter now if You ask,
ME the greenney's in the hebroid cream i could. Probably
help you with that sky mike but. Let's find out
about the forecast here how much rain are we going.
Together over the next couple? Of days do you think
you know.

Speaker 21 (01:49:14):
It's it's gonna be spotty in nature so some places,
won't see, any and some folks could.

Speaker 6 (01:49:20):
You know get a quarter of. An inch a half
inch of rain but, it's kind of.

Speaker 21 (01:49:26):
Like a sprinkle here a sprinkle there but over, the
course of the next several days. EVERYBODY has an opportunity
to get wet i don't, think we're gonna see heavy
flooding rain but if one of, these thunderstorms gets a
little overly ambitious we will be there to let.

Speaker 6 (01:49:42):
You know, that it's out there misbehaving.

Speaker 21 (01:49:45):
So far not a lot of rain i've seen Some
Showers on the east side of galveston bay and, down
near the ball of our peninsula and they're. Moving off
towards the south and west so a. Little bit of
rain here and there thirty percent chance today that. You'll
see some of this wet weather temperature's mid upper, nineties
tomorrow forty percent chants of thunderstorms and. Again we're in

(01:50:05):
the mid dupper nineties but the weekend, it's a fifty
percent chance of thunderstors, Most of this during the afternoon
hours so your. Morning, PLANS should be in good shape
cliff i think it's time for you to go out
there running load of mid Nineties, over the weekend in
more rain monday.

Speaker 3 (01:50:21):
Right down eighty, Two at your official SEVERE. Weather, station
news radio seven, forty krh well did you see this
this Survey Of men that they, took about democrats and
they Asked? Them can you name a masculine democrat. And
they very few of Them, could some of them would

(01:50:42):
say obama but that's. Only one could they could think
of that should tell you all You know about where some.
Of The democrat problems are right now greg gutfeld in
this panel had. A little fun with Us, last night.

Speaker 29 (01:50:51):
Men can't name masculine democrats so congresswomen according to, a
new study by a think Tank young men Struggle Name,
any masculine democrat Leaders Besides barack obama saying it's the.
Republican party that best represent? Men's interests are You surprised by?
This where did the dems go wrong.

Speaker 56 (01:51:13):
I'm not SURPRISED by this at, ALL and, when i,
Think about it i think you know.

Speaker 3 (01:51:17):
Fetterman probably comes the.

Speaker 56 (01:51:20):
Closest to this Is The, most masculine but the today's.
Democrat party they have completely. Oppressed men they've also completely
oppressed women if you look, at the men playing in
women's sports they want to talk, about that issue more
than anything else which.

Speaker 3 (01:51:32):
Hurts women and it.

Speaker 56 (01:51:34):
Also feminizes men so it's absolutely absurd it's just another
example where They're.

Speaker 3 (01:51:39):
Increasingly out of.

Speaker 56 (01:51:40):
Touch with mainstream Americans And it's why strong leaders. Like
president trump will continue To Excel it's why strong republic
the republican party will continue to put forth leaders. Who
show action that are not passive And this is a
real challenge for democrats as they look at.

Speaker 3 (01:51:57):
Their plummeting poll numbers with, male voters. It's also like
the Uh The uh the.

Speaker 29 (01:52:04):

it's like elizabeth warren rashida talib amy klobasharke.

Speaker 1 (01:52:31):
Uh, SWALLWELL she is she is crazy.

Speaker 58 (01:52:38):
No i mean it's it's wholly unsurprising because this is
the party that has demonized men and they cannot figure
out they have to spend tens of millions of dollars.

Speaker 21 (01:52:47):
On podcasts and maybe we should pay people to go
to gyms and talk to guys while they're lifting weights.

Speaker 58 (01:52:52):
And tell them, about our, great ideas, and, it's like
oh yeah bang.

Speaker 3 (01:52:56):

Dotty run And israel vice RIOT. Big, beautiful pill These
Radio seven? Forty ktrh yeah why are texas. Democrats complaining
there's A thing called election consequences so guess what republicans,
get to draw up the new redistricting map and of
course they're going TO draw up the favor, Of The,
joining us to Talk About it mitch Little defense attorney

(01:55:03):
in Texas State. Representative from, district, Sixty five TH's north
texas welcome back. Sir good to have You on the
program so why are these democrats determined to. Run, away
and try to avoid a quorum. Well Look at what
they have to lose.

Speaker 57 (01:55:18):
So, I'll just Point Out, three little Areas Okay, so
in north texas them losing Julie Johnson who USED to
be in the texas house in cd thirty two And
Potentially Having, her be replaced by state representative katrina pearson
One Of. The Most, conservative members of the TEXAS house,
in houston we're Talking About redrawing ced Nine, which is
out deer park east of houston and them losing A

(01:55:42):
Leftist And, being replaced with somebody like state representative briscocaine
One Of. The most conservative members of The, Texas house, And,
then you look at houston i'm sorry austin And They
now have a choice between running lloyd doggett or One
Of The, Most Left. Members of the united states congress
greg kassar so they are taking hits and they're at

(01:56:03):
risk of being replaced with Some Of. The most energetic conservatives,
in the united states.

Speaker 3 (01:56:07):
What A big difference side of the way the houston
thing would be if we could Get rid of al
get rid of al. Green and have. A conservative in
that Seat that's mind boggling.

Speaker 57 (01:56:16):
So what would you so The Question we've been asking
ourselves in the texas house is what are they not willing?

Speaker 3 (01:56:21):
To Do in order to.

Speaker 57 (01:56:22):
Avoid that future you're i'm sure you're aware Last Night
they Had, a Huge Meeting, with hakeem jeffries in austin
the texas democrats and they're trying to figure, out, what to,
do because they are leaderless rudderless and lost.

Speaker 3 (01:56:35):
And, well they want to avoid this. Outcome yeah evidently they're,
up to raise money they first of all they have
to figure out how to Fund themselves to pay the,
fines That The house will impose upon, them the texas
house will impose upon them and airfare and hotels. And
all the other things involved with this and this will
be what the, third time in recent history they've tried
it and. In the first two times it failed miserably
so how? Do, they think this will turn out differently,

(01:56:58):
well we really need to complete.

Speaker 57 (01:56:59):
This mission and we do need to redistrict it's The
difference between the second half of the. Trump term being excellent.
Or him being Impeached It's really that close but if the,
house democrats decide that they want To run, it's probably
a good thing for texas too in the Sense That
that will continue. To, pull the.

Speaker 3 (01:57:19):
Texas house to, THE right well good point the question
is i? Guess how? Long can they put this off?
How long how long can they stay? Away how long
can they? Prevent a quorum are we? Talking about weeks
are we talking about? Months how long could they pull
this off they could pull it off for. A very
long time if.

Speaker 57 (01:57:38):
They, wanted to but look at the consequences okay so
they have they're at risk of a five hundred dollars
a day. Fine which they cannot pay with Campaign fees,
they're at risk of losing their house budget. They're at
Risk of losing their vice chairmanships. And here i'll just
put it this way when they need to come And Try,
To Pass Their bills in the texas house. Keem jeff

(01:58:00):
freeze isn't Coming through that door so if they're expecting
republicans to help, THEM with that after. They, broke orum
again i think fat chance, okay.

Speaker 3 (01:58:09):
We'll see If. You're right about that hopefully so. Thanks mitch. Good, to,
talk to. You again appreciate It Yes sir thank You
