We're gonna check the drive now. Good morning, s guy,
Mike Dude.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
So it looks like we're good on freeways for now.
We're not bumping into each other. But I got to
turn your snooze off because we've got some wet roads
and spots, a little rain hitting here and there. According
to my pocket radar, we'll have somebody with a real
radar here momentarily. But around town, especially on the north side,
I noticed visibility could be a thing. Even the forecast
says something about c fog, so we'll check on that.
(01:01):
But forty five Golf Freeway. For now, we're not bumping
into each other. Galveston up Texas City and is now
thirty two minutes.
Speaker 5 (01:08):
I'm Skymike.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
It's your Generator Supercenter, dot Com Traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
All right, Maybe said bumping will happen because the dense
fog advisory is in effected until ten eight m. Otherwise,
today it's going to be partly sunny with a high
near seventy nine, increasing clouds with the low tonight around
sixty six. What about your Christmas week forecast that's coming
up in about eight and a half minutes when we
check in with Richard Lewelling.
Speaker 5 (01:31):
Right now, we have sixty eight Is that right?
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Sixty eight degrees at your official severe weather stations Radio
seven forty k TRH.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
An outside for the morning news. Good morning, Cliff Saunders.
Speaker 6 (01:42):
Good morning, good sir. It is five oh one on KTRH.
Our top story.
Speaker 7 (01:46):
As we have sealed the land borders, time to secure
the maritime.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
Border as well.
Speaker 6 (01:52):
Texas Congressman Michael McCall on Fox is the US pursues
a third oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela.
Speaker 8 (01:58):
Official say it's under sanctions and flying a false flag.
It comes days after President Trump announced a total and
complete blockade of sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving the country.
The action is part of a pressure campaign to force
Venezuelan leader Nicholas Muduro from power.
Speaker 6 (02:16):
That's Fox's Miley Lyne reporting. Meantime, one of the other
tankers seized by the US has in fact arrived off
the shore of Galveston. The President may talk about all
of this when he makes an announcement at mar Lago
at three point thirty this afternoon, set to be joined
by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. US Special Envoy Steve
Wikoff says weekend talks with Russia about ending the war
(02:39):
in Ukraine work quote productive. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham
isn't getting his hopes up.
Speaker 9 (02:46):
We keep engaging Russia, we keep engaging, trying to lure
put into the peace table, and he rebuffs all of
our efforts.
Speaker 6 (02:54):
Graham on NBC's Meet the Press Here at Home. The
DOJ released the Epstein files, but that's still was not
good enough for the left, who's complained that some photos
with President Trump were removed see.
Speaker 10 (03:06):
Epstein files existed for years and years and years, and
you did not hear a peep out of a single
Democrat for.
Speaker 6 (03:13):
The past four years, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche there
By the way the pictures were restored, they were only
taken down to make sure none of Epstein's victims were
in them. Elsewhere, the New York Post reporting that the
FBI ignored warnings about Epstein as far back as nineteen
ninety six. That would be the Clinton doo jay, when
(03:34):
artist Maria Farmer accused Epstein of stealing explicit photos of
her underage sisters. Five oh three. Congress is on Christmas break.
A pair of Texas Republicans, though, have launched a new
Sharia Free America Caucus to deal with the alarming rise
of sharia law.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
In the US.
Speaker 11 (03:54):
They say it's to prevent what's already happening in Europe
from happening here.
Speaker 12 (03:59):
This issue is becoming one that is getting a lot
of traction and is getting a lot of attention.
Speaker 11 (04:05):
That is Brandon Walton's with Texas Scorecard. The two congressmen
are Keith South and Chip Roy.
Speaker 12 (04:12):
I think the fact that you see this caucus starting
in Washington, d C. Is at least a positive sign
that lawmakers are at least starting to take notice.
Speaker 11 (04:20):
Sharia law has already been banned here in Texas. Jeff
Biggs News Radio seven forty kat reh.
Speaker 6 (04:27):
Thank you, Jeff Harris. County Democrats meantime getting involved in
national issues again. The county filing and amicus brief supporting
the nineteen thirty four National Firearms Act, which previously required
a two hundred dollars fee in a lengthy paperwork process
just to buy or sell machine guns or suppressors. The
fee has since been abolished.
Speaker 13 (04:48):
You have a cheap machine gun running ten twelve thousand dollars.
Two hundred bucks is in anything, and people have just figured, okay,
well that's just part of the meal, and two hundred
dollars is of what it was. Thirty four.
Speaker 6 (05:01):
Danny Clark with Collector's Firearms says the county really doesn't
have any standing in the lawsuit.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
Five h five.
Speaker 6 (05:07):
Let's look at your money. Something the mainstream media won't
tell you. Prices for milk and other dairy products are dropping.
Speaker 14 (05:15):
Milk production is up by four percent, driving the cost
of cheese and butter to go down as well.
Speaker 6 (05:21):
Economist EJ.
Speaker 14 (05:22):
Antony says Trump has removed the red tape so that
farmers have the flexibility to respond to higher market prices, prices.
Speaker 15 (05:30):
Go up and producers respond by producing.
Speaker 14 (05:33):
More, causing prices to drop. That's a step and the
right direction.
Speaker 15 (05:37):
Yes, they're down a little bit in some cases, but
we have a long way to go.
Speaker 14 (05:40):
Antony says, keeping prices down at the grocery store has
to be a priority. In twenty twenty six, I'm Erica
Smith News Radio seven katr H.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
Overnight futures are up across the board. This morning. Oil
is up to fifty seven dollars and forty five cents
a barrel. State wide average for gasoline to forty six.
That is nineteen cents cheaper than it was one year ago.
But attention, car shoppers. Dealers are spiking transportation fees without
you knowing. KTRH car pro Jerry Reynolds.
Speaker 16 (06:11):
But it has more than doubled, and this is something
I'm seeing from every manufacturer.
Speaker 6 (06:17):
Reynolds says they're charging more for delivery than what they're paying.
The average new car price already over fifty thousand. The
Christmas travel season continues, already tracking eleven delays out of Bush,
another ten out of Hobby, and Texas is taking part
in a push to rebuild trust in our trucking industry.
So Texas Trucking Association has joined a nationwide crackdown on
(06:40):
those they call bad actors. Jonas Sparza says AI will
comb through the records to separate the companies and follow
the rules from those looking to exploit the gaps.
Speaker 17 (06:50):
The use of AI is going to be far more
effective in getting to the root of the problem and
who are the problems out there.
Speaker 18 (06:57):
They're looking for trucking companies that manipulate license systems, engage
in freight fraud and tamper with safety records, and truckers
who follow the rules, he says, will not see any
more red tape.
Speaker 6 (07:08):
That is ktrh's REX. So it's five oh seven. The
Texans beat the Raiders twenty three to twenty one, their
seventh consecutive win. The Rockets lose to the Kings one
twenty five to one twenty four. I'm Cliff Saunders here
on Houston's news, weather and traffic station Use Radio seven
forty k TRH.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
Well, you're breaking resolutions in the new year.
Speaker 19 (07:28):
Yeah, break them within the first week.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
We will be breaking.
Speaker 19 (07:31):
News because you never know what's going to happen.
Speaker 5 (07:33):
Use Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
All right, it is what seven minutes after the hour
five o'clock. Now, good morning to you. Thanks for being
with us on this Monday. It's the twenty second morning
of the twelfth month in the year of Our Lord,
twenty twenty five. That makes us officially Christmas week. So
a very early Merry Christmas to you. And if you're
celebrating Honkah, happy Hanukkah. I'm Bob Franz in for Jimmy.
(07:57):
I really appreciate the chance to get in with you
this week.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
And wow, what a week end. In Phoenix, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
TPUSA, Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk's organization held the first
Amfest short for America Fest since, of course Charlie's murder
in September, and wow was it a powerful weekend.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
Not always in a great way.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Normally, America Fest is a celebration of the three f's
that Charlie Kirk always champion, which are faith, family, and freedom,
and conservatives from far and wide would from near and far,
I guess they should say, would come and talk about
all of those very important principles and it would be
a great, big unity festival. This was anything that unified,
(08:46):
as some of the heaviest hitters in the conservative world,
in the conservative influencer spaces, one after one another, and
understandably quite frankly, because there is a very very deep
divide within the conservative movement now because of some people
platforming people that have no business whatsoever being near conservative events.
(09:08):
But just a little summary, Erica Kirk opened the AMTHESK
conference this weekend with an emotional address on Thursday reflecting
her own husband's legacy.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
And the sold out event.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
By the way, last year America FESS had twenty one
thousand attendees. This year thirty one thousand, the largest they've
ever done, which is kind of a a commentary, I
guess on the murder of Charlie, the assassination of Charlie
Kirk and the desire for you know, countless numbers of
Americans to want to grow and amplify his message in
(09:40):
his death, and that's kind of what went down. The
speaker lineup featured people like Vice President jd Vance, who
closed the event as the keynote speaker last night, and
I've got a lot of audio from that we're going
to play for you this morning. Donald Trump Junior House
Speaker Mike Johnson was there. Media personalities like Russell Brand
and Rob Schneider were there, Ben Shapiro, Tucker Carlson, which
(10:04):
is one of the mysteries, Steve Bannon, Megan Kelly, vivek
Ramaswame who's running for governor in Ohio, Jack pisobic among
those blending politics and media and culture together. But the
celebration of you know, the memorial celebration of Charlie Kirk
and the conservative messaging heading into the midterm elections quickly
(10:28):
devolved because of deep infighting within the movement. Ben Shapiro
on in his speech on the first day, uh just
destroyed some of the fellow speakers at the event, and
one who was not there because she's not welcome apparently
and with good reason. But he went after Candace Owens,
which is the speaker was not there, but also Tucker
(10:49):
Carlson for hosting controversial radical pro Nazi, pro hitler pro
stalin lunatic Nick Fuentez. He took him apart for that,
and then Megan Kelly for defending Candace Owens as well.
And then when Tucker and Megan Kelly had their chances
to speak, they returned fire. Candace was not there. Like
(11:11):
I said, she's largely persona non grata within TPUSA. But
Steve Bannon, who is of course Trumpian all the way through,
responded aggressively as well, and he said Shapiro was a
cancer on the movement. It was a really interesting and
in part disappointing thirty one thousand conservative strong conference because
(11:34):
of this infighting. We're gonna address it a little bit.
It's as big of a story as anything else as
we head into the midterms because the Democrats are going
to be united and stopping all things MAGA. The Conservatives
need to return that and they're not. Based on what
happened over the weekend. We'll talk more about it as
we go, but right now it's five eleven. Let's talk
about the drive. Bob your psychic, I am. I said,
what ten minutes ago you said.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
We would start bumping into each other, and just like that,
Bob Franz altabilia the psychic Bob Franz Friends Networks. This
is forty five North Freeway ranking. That's a bad spot
for records. Outbound North Freeway one two right lanes here,
three vehicles. I think they're going to start moving these
the laneage around a little bit.
Speaker 5 (12:15):
So this is outbound, not inbound.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
And watch out as you're coming up on the Beltway.
I'm still wondering if visibility is a thing. Let's check
Katie Freeway. I'm going out to Peterson Road.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
I looks like you're okay as far as I can
see out to Brookshire.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
You see something I don't let me know. Seven one
three two one two t ips. So look at the
North Freeway Shepherd Hill up around Willis.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
Boy, that's getting awfully. Think their visibility's got to be
a thing.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
Coming down from New Waverley East tags up in the sticks.
As far as I can see camera wise as Kingwood,
Kingwood's okay, but I'll bet we are plumb foggy and porter.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
And then you head out to niney.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
If you had a grand march at your wedding, you've
got some boy. You got some fog out there too.
Highway six on the outside highway that goes to Brian
College station not Highway six.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
Cypress quick tip line there, Hi there, Robert from the
targt tent. Dude, my hometown is.
Speaker 20 (13:07):
Ability less than one hundred yards.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
Oh, nicely done, nicely done, Robert. I'm in the generator
Supercenter dot Com Traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Didn't that guy in your hometown once quarterback the Vikings
in the Super Bowl?
Speaker 5 (13:22):
Robert Oh, go nice Tarkington. Okay, I got your.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Talks a little close, Tarking ten from the quarterback. But
it's just what I think of whatever I hear Tarkington.
Speaker 5 (13:30):
Cool. I'll tell you about Tarkington in about ten minutes.
All right, I look forward to it, Thank you, sir.
All Right, it is five point thirteen. Let's check that
weather now. Richard Llewelling, good morning, Good morning.
Speaker 21 (13:41):
Every one long strench of unseasonably warm weather is going
to continue here for Southeast Texas. Temperatures are going to
continue to run as much as twenty degrees above average
for this time of the year.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
And of course, we.
Speaker 21 (13:51):
Do have dense fog advisories up through ten o'clock this
morning for the coastal counties. Areas of fog that will
continue through late morning and then unshine for the afternoon.
Seventy eight. Fog returns again tonight with clouds a low
sixty six morning fog on Tuesday, with sunshine seventy eight Wednesday,
and Christmas Day more of the same. We're gonna see
patche fog in the morning with sunshine in the afternoon.
(14:14):
Temperatures both Wednesday and Thursday in the gupper seventies.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
All right, thanks sir, And right now we have sixty
eight degrees and that warning in effect here or advisory anyway.
At your official severe weather stations Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 19 (14:28):
I live in Katie, I live in Ito.
Speaker 5 (14:30):
You're reliable forecast.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Next on the ten on seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Okay, it is five nineteen. We're coming right up on
five point twenty five four three two one Skymike time already, Ben,
that was fast.
Speaker 5 (14:47):
All right, let's do it. Let's do some north side.
I have forty five North Freeway.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
I noticed the fog out around Willis and Conro, so
I got to turn everybody's NEOs off visibility.
Speaker 5 (14:56):
Well, look at this spot here, uh, North Freeway.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
I don't even know where Dan, Liz, but that's going
to be north of it looks like it's going.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
To be north of Conroe.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
Wow, that's got to be at least less than a
quarter mile visibility. Same story for east text coming down
the sticks around Porter reports of fog and Robert from Tarkington,
Bob Franz tells me it's awfully thick up there.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
Tarkington.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
By the way, my hometown up northeast of here is
not on the map.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
It's never been a town, Bob.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
But if you look on the old colonial map of
Texas history, it was on the map before Houston or
Dallas existed.
Speaker 5 (15:30):
That's a little bitty place.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
Skymike and the Generator Supercenter, dot Com Traffic Center, I
have little history there, Thank you, sir.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
What do we have?
Speaker 3 (15:38):
We have a dense fog advisory in effect until ten o'clock,
otherwise partly sunny today, that's going to be near seventy nine,
increasing clouds low around sixty six over night. Tomorrow's seventy
eight Christmas Eve partly cloudy, and seventy eight Christmas Day
even a little warmer, way over the average temperatures this
time of the year, touching eighty degrees on Christmas Thursday.
(15:59):
Right now, we're at sixty eight at your official severe
weather station, News Radio seven forty KTRH. We say check
in on the morning news headlines with Cliff Shownder.
Speaker 6 (16:08):
Thank you, Bobby, you surprise at turning point usas America
fest rapper Nicki Minaj givs her total support to President Trump.
CBS postpones a sixty minute segment on the illegal aliens
being held in El Salvador Seacott Prison, and tonight's powerball
jackpot is one point six billion. That's with a B dollars.
(16:28):
Get the latest news anytime at ktrh dot com. Our
next update is at five thirty.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
From the Sugarland area, PAVI Airport area.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Your reliable forecast next on the ten on seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
Yeah, the Nicki Minaj was a huge surprise when Erica
Kirk brought her out for the TPUSA event, and she
did give full throat a support to President Trump and
to Vice President Jad Evans, who I want to focus
on here about America Fest, because again this was a
huge four day event in which thirty one thousand people
just completely packed the arena and the convention center there
(17:05):
in Phoenix. Vice President Vance gave the keynote address on
the final night, which of course was last night, and
he went off on a number of things, including trying
to bring some order to the conservative movement that is
stuck in a very very bad place now with respect
to division and infighting because of the invitation of some
(17:25):
less than reputable people to the conservative tent.
Speaker 22 (17:31):
Bring a list of conservatives to denounce or t d platform,
and I don't really care if some people out there.
I'm sure we'll have the fake news media denounced me
after this speech. But let me just say, the best
way to honor Charlie is.
Speaker 19 (17:47):
That none of us here should be.
Speaker 22 (17:49):
Doing something after Charlie's death that he himself refused to
do in life.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
He invited all of us here, and the President is
not wrong in that regard except for the context, because
Charlie Kirk would never have invited someone like Nick Fuentes.
And while Nick Fuentes, who is a very very dangerous
individual leading and impacting the young minds of a lot
(18:18):
of young men who supposedly are right wing or conservative,
is a horrific individual, again an actual pro Nazi. You know,
the left likes to call people anybody who is the
right of center a Nazi. Nick Fuentes actually praises Hitler,
praise is also communist Joseph Stalin. He has expressed extraordinary racism,
(18:39):
he has denied the Holocaust, and he's a guy who
is platformed by people like Tucker Carlson who gave him
a nodding along interview as he expressed all of his hatred,
didn't challenge him at all. That's one of the reasons
why there was the infighting. Ben Shapiro went after Tucker
Carlson for that, went after Candas Owens for the conspiracy
theories surrounding.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
The murder of Charlie Kirk as well.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
So the Vice President was not wrong to say we
need to unify and invite all voices, but there are exceptions.
Some voices should not be heard in the conservative community,
and that's one of them. Fouentes and by way of it,
in my view, his benefactor, his lead cheerleader, his amplifier,
Tucker Carlson. But nonetheless Vice President of Ants also had
(19:24):
some remarks last night in support of the nation being
what it was founded upon.
Speaker 22 (19:29):
But I want to say something here.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
The only thing that is.
Speaker 22 (19:33):
Truly served as an anchor of the United States of
America is that we have been, and by the grace
of God, we always will be, a Christian nation.
Speaker 23 (19:57):
Stamming ovation for the Vice President of the United States
a turning point last night, and in every second of.
Speaker 22 (20:12):
It now, I want to be explicit because of course,
the fake news media will twist everything that I say.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
I'm not saying do you feel about them the same
way I do.
Speaker 22 (20:25):
I'm not saying you have to be a Christian to
be an American. I'm saying something simpler and truer. Christianity
is America's Creed, the shared moral language. From the Revolution
to the Civil War and beyond. Across that history, are
country's major debates have always centered on how we could
(20:46):
best as a people.
Speaker 5 (20:48):
Please God. That creed. Think about it.
Speaker 22 (20:54):
That Creed motivated our understanding of natural law and rights,
our sense of to one's neighbor, the conviction that the
strong must protect the weak, and the belief in individual conscience.
Even our famously American idea of religious liberty is a
Christian concept. Because we're all creatures of God, we must
(21:18):
respect each individual.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
It's a strong statement again by the Vice President there
we are a Christian nation rooted in Judeo Christian values.
And that is something that the Left does not want
you to know. They don't want you to believe that.
They want you to think that.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
You know that the.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Establishment clause means you cannot say those things. But our
founding fathers said them loud and clear. It was a
tremendous event last night, and I've got more from vice
president of Events coming up. But first, since it's five
twenty six, we're going to check and see what's going
on with your money on the first day of the
markets in Christmas Week. The Bloomberg Business Report from Courtney Donahoe.
Speaker 24 (21:53):
Good Morning.
Speaker 25 (21:54):
The CEO of seven to eleven is retiring at the
end of the month. Joe Depino ran the convenience store
chain for the past two decades and orchestrated its expansions
through the acquisition of Speedway and Sonoco gas stations. Seven
eleven is now on the hunt for a new leader.
The chain got its start almost a century ago in Texas.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
More of what's happening now from the John Morris Services Studios.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
A surprise at turning point usas America Fest and the
Dums are even less popular than you realize. Good morning,
I'm Bob France and for Jimmy Barry Cliff Saunders has
the details on those stories and more coming right up.
Speaker 5 (22:49):
Let's check the morning drive with us guy Mike, Boy.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
Look at this stuff on the North Freeway outbound rank
and Road one two three lines block now this is
on the outbound, not inbound, and I am starting to
get some ugly backup now outbound from the Beltway. Look
out too, because seeing is a thing this morning. Visibility
in spots hey, Golden Triangle. Let me know what you
can see that I can't. I ten out at ninety six.
I've got reports of a wreck. Digitally, I'm seeing a
(23:14):
big smush too. This is going eastbound over tour through
the middle of Beaumont, coming from this side here Skymike
and the Ability Tree Experts Traffic Center.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
Thank you very much, sir. Your forecast for today.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
You've got a dense bog advisor in effect until ten o'clock,
partly sunny after that with the high near seventy nine,
increase in clouds with the low round.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
Sixty six overnight.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
We'll give you the extended forecast into the rest of
Christmas week when we check in with Richard Lewelling at
five forty Right now, we have sixty eight at your
official severe weather station, News Radio seven forty KTRH an
outside for the morning news. Is that not Ray Cliff too?
Speaker 6 (23:51):
It is correct, Sir, five point thirty one on KTRH
our top story, who.
Speaker 26 (23:55):
Can't wake up and think about somebody who is determined
to just stay mad?
Speaker 6 (24:02):
Rapper Nicki Minaj at Turning Point usay is America fest
responding to the critics that don't like her for being mega.
Vice President jd Vance also spoke, so.
Speaker 22 (24:13):
If you love America, if you want all of us
to be richer, stronger, safer, and prouder, you have a
home on this team.
Speaker 6 (24:23):
More than thirty thousand people attended the four day conference
in Phoenix. The left is mad at Minaj, but maybe
they should look in the mirror because new polling has
the approval rating for the Democrat Party at just eighteen yes,
eighteen percent.
Speaker 27 (24:40):
You guys are down to friends, family, illegals, and health
insurance executives.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
That's what you got right now.
Speaker 6 (24:45):
CNN Scott Jennings. House minority leader Herkiem Jeffries claims the
poll is a quote outlier. He's also making some big
claims about Obamacare.
Speaker 28 (24:54):
House Democrats are going to continue to fight to get
this extension through the com risk on our side, it
will pass.
Speaker 6 (25:02):
It was Jeffreys on ABC's This Week, not telling you
that it also has to go through the Senate, So
good luck. Five point thirty three.
Speaker 29 (25:09):
Now on KTRH, I toured a border by air, by boat,
and by.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
Four wheel drive.
Speaker 29 (25:15):
I didn't see a single illegal.
Speaker 6 (25:17):
Alien orders our Tom Holman on Fox on what is
the biggest accomplishment of President Trump's first year back in office?
Closing down Joe Biden's open border. There's also this border
patrols seized more than seventy one thousand pounds of illegal drugs.
That's a sixty two percent increase over fiscal year twenty
(25:37):
twenty four.
Speaker 30 (25:38):
This is being praised as another example of President Trump's
success at the border.
Speaker 20 (25:42):
Here and the Biden administration, war patrol agents were pulled
in to process thousands of people daily that were crossing
the border, and therefore it was easier to smuggle between
the ports of entry.
Speaker 30 (25:50):
Errol County Sheriff Thatius Cleveland says, now that the border
is more secure, smuggling between ports of entry is off
the table.
Speaker 20 (25:56):
Cartel is going back to those traditional ways at the
ports of entry, smoke going in and sent my loads,
commingled load with legitimate cargo, let's fruits in vestable's car parks.
Speaker 30 (26:04):
He added that President Trump's anti cartel strikes in the
Caribbean have also helped tamp down on drug smuggling. Ethan
Buchanan News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 6 (26:12):
And all of this comes as the Coastguard is in
pursuit of a third oil tanker off the coast of
Venezuela this morning. We'll have more on that at six o'clock.
It's now five thirty four. After years of Democrat domination
in Harris County, Republicans fighting back. Houston Chronicle reports Governor
Greg Gabbott is pledging twenty five million from his own
(26:33):
campaign fund to help the local GOP flip. Harris County
chair chairwoman Cindy Siegel says money is great, but we
need good candidates too.
Speaker 31 (26:43):
This is probably the first time in decade that we've
actually had a Republican running in every state House district
in Harris County, and we're actively going out and our
focus is going to be on local issues.
Speaker 6 (26:58):
More positive science. Republicans won ten county wide judicial races.
Last year, they're best showing in a decade. Let's go
to Austin now. A major conservative group is that. With
their report card for state lawmakers.
Speaker 32 (27:12):
The Club for Growth Foundation gave Texas Republicans, who dominate
Austin a mixed review. The group he praised on a
move to permanently repeal the death tax, which was pushed
by state Senator Charles Perry.
Speaker 24 (27:22):
You kind of taxed on to develop it, text on,
to keep it, text on area, and when you die,
you got to tax it again.
Speaker 32 (27:26):
But the newly released state economic scorecard blasted lawmakers for
approving what it called historic overspending. The three hundred and
thirty eight billion dollar budget was the largest in state history.
Speaker 6 (27:36):
Ajih's Michael Board Conservatives get another win in the battle
against woke ideology at Texas College's A and m is
banning finally race or gender ideology from being taught in
their lecture halls.
Speaker 33 (27:50):
The hard working overtax men and women of the state
of Texas. They're sick and tired of their money being
weaponized against them, their children, and their values to push
leftist indoctrination. But that's what's been Haen think in all
of our Texas Republic universities.
Speaker 6 (28:02):
Stay Representative Brian Harrison says Texans have a right to
decide what's being taught at the schools they pay for.
President Trump recently signed in an executive order reclassifying marijuana
under federal law. Other Fazzio with the Texas Cannabis Policy
Center says shifting the drug to a less restrictive category
(28:22):
means that medical marijuana companies may now qualify for standard
federal tax deductions.
Speaker 34 (28:28):
So I appreciate the President taking this step in spite
of some opposition within his party, to do the right thing,
to side with the American people on this and to
move forward with a more sensible approach to cannabis at
the federal level.
Speaker 6 (28:41):
That's a remember, recreational use is still unchanged and illegal
in the state of Texas. Five point thirty sixty. Houston
Texans have now won seven in a row. They edged
the Raiders at NRG yesterday twenty three to twenty one.
Speaker 35 (28:55):
Was ugly, but you know, the way you want to
win in December is winning, you know, whatever it looks like,
however looks so you know, I'm proud of gosp finish
a strong you know, we sought off, you know, kind
of bad in the first quarter, and they're from there, kind.
Speaker 19 (29:08):
Of road quarterback c J.
Speaker 6 (29:09):
Stroud through for one hundred and eighty seven yards and
a touchdown. And if you don't like the Cowboys, good news.
Dallas lost to the Chargers thirty four to seventeen. They'd
already been eliminated from the playoffs, and the dream season
ends for the Aggies. They lost in the College football
playoffs to Miami ten to three. I'm close Saunders on
Houston's news, weather and traffic station, News Radio seven forty
(29:32):
k TRH.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Stay in touch on your drive in with Jimmy Barrett
and the Houston Morning News team.
Speaker 5 (29:41):
Okay, it is five thirty seven.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Just one more from America Fest with vice president of
vanc There's a ton from vice president or excuse me,
from America Fest, by the way, beyond a vice president
of Advance. But I don't want to make the entire
show this morning about America Fest, but this one is
a particular interest to a lot of people. And by
the way, good morning once again. I'm Bob France in
fourt If you just woke up and turn on the radio.
(30:03):
But vice president of VANCE spoke last night about a
number of other things, including DEI, which he said is
in the dust bin of history, and he gave white
people something to cheer about for a change.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
Listen, race or their sex.
Speaker 22 (30:17):
So we have relegated DEI to the dust bin of history,
which is exactly where it belongs. In the United States
of America. You don't have to apologize for being white anymore.
(30:44):
And if you're an Asian, you don't have to talk
around your skin color when you're applying for college, because
we judge people based on who they are, not on
ethnicity and things they can't control.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
That is such a huge message, and it's been so
difficult for people for years and years and years, especially
since twenty twenty where you know, and especially since CRT
critical race theory has been taught in American schools. You
young white kids have been taught to be ashamed of
their skin because it makes them something that they have
nothing to do with and makes them bigoted and racist
(31:19):
and somehow responsible for the problems of the world.
Speaker 5 (31:23):
It is wrong, you know.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
Young black children are rightly told to be proud of
who they are and what they look like. Young Asian kids,
young Hispanic kids are too, But if you're white, you're
not allowed to be proud of that because that would
indicate supremacy. What Vice President Advance did last night on
a massive stage was say it is okay to be
white too, because it is and DEI should disappear forever,
(31:45):
because it is discriminatory. If you are choosing one person
for a job or a spot, or an admission, you know,
a place in a class, or what have you, based
on what they look like rather than what their qualifications
or their merit is, then you are discriminating again that individual.
So it was a huge, huge message by the Vice
President last night, and I think that's what you know,
(32:07):
most of the people in attendance and most of the
conservatives who watched it online very very closely, we're hoping
to see and that is some sort of semblance of
normalcy and unity in the conservative movement, and that has
wanted them. There's a lot more to come from that
also coming up in a few If you're looking for
a job after the new year, good luck, you better
(32:29):
be sure that you're not applying for a ghost job.
And if you don't know what a ghost job is,
it's not a Halloween story. I want to explain that
to you coming up as well right now, though it's
not forty Let's let Mike Skymike, that is explain to
us how.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
The drive look getting kind of ghostly on your freeways here,
Bob friends. First of all, forty five North Freeway. Besides
the visibility, we got two major accidents. This is outbound
cross timbers to truck wreck. Looks like two lanes here
on the outbound side that inbound cross timbers. So watch
out there. Let's jump on the hardy big shots. And
also you've got the rank and accent they keep and
lane at around this one's outbound starting to cause an
(33:03):
inbound deal. And I've got rick Ischet from Spring Dude guy.
Speaker 24 (33:07):
My southbound HOV laid on forty five right at ranking
where the other wreck is. There's a three car pile
up in the HOV. HOV lane is stopped other round.
Speaker 5 (33:19):
No other wreck, all right.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
So you've got the main lanes outbound, you got the HOV,
which in the morning is always going to be inbound.
And boy, that's awful. That's a lot of smushery there.
Let's jump off on the hearty big shots. Forty five
further up North Lucas from Huntsville.
Speaker 12 (33:34):
Mike between Lake Woodlands and Woodlands Parkway, two right lanes
blocked by emergency vehicles.
Speaker 24 (33:41):
Not much of a back up stay the forest.
Speaker 5 (33:44):
Well, say, as for.
Speaker 7 (33:45):
The ball coming in.
Speaker 16 (33:46):
From Lonsvio, I couldn't even see the store gas price
irons from the high with Holy.
Speaker 5 (33:51):
Wow, you're serious.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
You're talking about those truck stop signs and willis that
are so tall and bright. That's all right, that's visibility
is a thing now, So let's all get an early start.
Speaker 5 (33:59):
Got to turn in the senters five.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
I'm sky Mike ats your Ability Tree Experts Traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
Yeah, I'd be very very careful out there, As the
saying goes, when the fog is that thick and that
dense fog advisory is in effect until ten o'clock, which
I'm sure Richard Lewelling will tell us right now and more.
Speaker 21 (34:14):
Under warning everyone, the temperatures that resemble more late October
and early November and cent of the week of Christmas
is going to stick here with us here through the
week ahead, with temperatures flirting with record high temperatures each
day here right on through the end of the week.
Areas of fog here this morning. Do you have a
dense fog advisory for the coastal counties until ten o'clock
then sunshine seventy eight patche fog again tonight with clouds
(34:37):
a low sixty six bog in the morning, Tuesday, with
sunshine for the afternoon, seventy eight. Wednesday and Christmas Day
readings in the upper seventies. Fog to start the day,
but sunshine in the afternoon. We keep things dry through
the end of the week.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
All right, thank you, And that dense fog advisory, as
you just heard again goes until ten right now sixty
eight at your official severe weather station is Radio seven
to forty ktrh.
Speaker 5 (35:02):
I live in kat I live in the Woodlands.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Next on the ten You're reliable forecast on seven forty ktrh.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
Okay, it is five forty eight. Good morning once again,
Bob France sitting in for Jimmy. CBP Officers at the
South Texas Ports of Entry. In the fiscal year twenty
twenty five did a bang up job. A sixty two
percent increase in hard narcotic sieved over fiscal year twenty
twenty four.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
That's amazing.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
We're going to talk about it with Teraroll County Sheriff,
that is Cleveland in a moment, real quick though, If
you've got a to do list for the new year,
in other words, in new year's resolution, which is find
a new job, good luck, you got to be sure
that the job you're applying.
Speaker 5 (35:41):
For is real.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
A report, multiple reports, in fact, show that ghost jobs
are increasing exponentially. What that means is what does a
ghost job. It doesn't mean you're going to work at
a haunted house. It's a job that doesn't exist. Companies
are listing jobs that they have no actual interest or
intent in, just so they can gather information about you.
(36:03):
We're not talking about seasonal working jobs. We're talking about
the hiring companies listing jobs online with no actual job
in the real world, but they want to gather information
on applicants. It's a big problem. Twenty two percent of them,
according to the BBC. Some reports say more than that.
Thirty four percent is what a separate UK study put
(36:23):
the figure out, thirty four percent of jobs in the UK.
And it's happening in the United States and about the
same rates. So why are companies posting jobs that don't exist?
According to research. They've surveyed hiring managers and found some
companies post positions to create a talent pool. It's not
that they don't want to hire, it's just that they're
not hiring immediately. But others simply want to gather data
(36:46):
on applicants. And for what are they using those things
for it? And that's a mystery. Los Angeles top the
list in the United States with thirty one percent of jobs.
One in every three job postings is fake. Philadelphia is
number two with thirty point one percent. New York had
the highest number of ghost jobs by volume, and San
(37:08):
Francisco rounded out the top five as well. So if
you are looking for a job, like I said, make
sure it exists. Make sure you're not just giving all
of your information to somebody and you have no idea
whether or not the company is. Do your research, do
your homework, whether the company is actually someone you can
you can trust.
Speaker 5 (37:24):
All right, five point fifteen. Now, let's do the traffic
on the weather and we'll check in. Here's guy Mike. No,
we're up to a tough start.
Speaker 4 (37:29):
I was kind of expecting this big like a holiday today,
but no North Freeway. That's a reck with the truck
involved outbound cross timbers outbound, not inbound.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
We'll take two right lanes on this one.
Speaker 4 (37:39):
Two separate accidents on the North Freeway rank and outbound.
That one's still working. They're just about to clear one
two three lanes here. The hov actually had a rollover.
Looks like they've cleared that now, but they were responding responders.
That makes a lot of sense, Mike. Southbound, we were
responding in a left lane. So we've got a bit
of a smash coming. I'm from Airtex and you've got
(38:02):
Andy from Conrad forty five Nordon.
Speaker 13 (38:06):
In front of Woodlands Law. Please are pulling a car
over its right too late.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
I think we got some kind of smash right there.
Lucas from Huntsville found that too. Not a big backup,
stay the course if you're coming down from New Waverley,
but let's get an early start.
Speaker 5 (38:20):
You got visibility, so that's the thing this morning.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
I'm Skymike and the Ability Tree Experts Traffic Center.
Speaker 5 (38:27):
All right, thank you, sir.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
Your forecast today dense fog advisory until ten o'clock this morning,
otherwise partly sunny today. Hi, you're going to be near
seventy nine overnight low sixty six Tomorrow mostly sunny and
seventy eight. Christmas Eve Wednesday partly cloudy, also seventy eight
and Christmas Day Thursday, pushing up toward records like eighty
degrees at your official severe weather station, there's radio seven
(38:50):
forty k TRH. Let's check the headlines now with Cliff.
Speaker 19 (38:53):
Thank you, Bob.
Speaker 6 (38:54):
The Dems won't stop complaining about the Epstein files. More
Houston violent crime and man found shot to death Southwest
Houston over the weekend. And the police chief in bell

him on administrative leave. Getting the latest news anytime at
KTRH dot com. Our next update is that six o'clock.
Speaker 19 (39:16):
I live in Katie, I live in Ito.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Your reliable forecast next on the ten on seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
So CBP officers have been busy in fiscal year twenty
twenty five. They have seized a significant quantity of narcotics,
unreported currency, and weapons during the fiscal year sixty two
percent combined increase in hard narcotics seized.
Speaker 5 (39:40):
In this past year.
Speaker 3 (39:41):
Joining us with a reaction to that is Thatte's Cleveland
Tarrell County Sheriff Sheriff, Good morning, Hey one, Bob be
on with you today. Thank good to have you. Appreciate
that we've just seen so many great numbers. You know,
President Trump was was proud to announce last week during
the State of the Union or that State of the Union.
It was a national address from the Overall Office in
which he announced that over the last seven months, zero
(40:03):
illegal aliens have been released into the interior of the
United States. And now not only are the illegal aliens
being kept out, but so are their drugs.
Speaker 20 (40:12):
Most definitely, Bob, and I tell you I can draw
from my twenty six years experience as US barbatrol agent
and lifelong reserv order. You know what we saw the
previous four years with really the borders being wide open.
Now that they're being controlled in between the ports of entry,
we're starting to see the details go back to their
old ways of smuggling the ports of entry, mixing their
(40:33):
narcotics with you know, legitimate trade and travel, and that's
why we've seen those those seizures go up.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
These numbers are kind of staggering in the reports that
we're seeing here during the fiscal year, officers at the
aports of entry, say they see seventy one and thirty
three pounds of narcotics that would have commanded a combined
estimated street value of nearly six hundred and seventy four
million dollars. So obviously, you know, the incentive is still
(41:00):
there for the cartels and for the traffickers to get.
Speaker 5 (41:03):
These things out there.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
What is being done differently other than President Trump sealing
the border off?
Speaker 20 (41:09):
You know that And I even like to say the
big thing and the men and women of Customs Board
Protection are doing a tremendous job. But what it takes,
and it doesn't matter who the president is, but it
takes having that person in the White House that's going
to let the rest of the world know that we
are going to enforce the rule and protect our borders.
And it just goes to show, you know, it's almost
like the flip of a switch, what transpired, What's Biden
(41:31):
left office and Trump took over, just getting back to
protecting our borders. And it also shows kind of as
you the cartails aren't going to give up. They're going
to continue to try to get there their drugs through
their weapons, through and criminal aliens. But but again, just
great job being done by by our men and women's
the border.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
Yeah, and you know, I'm sure for them, and you
having so much experience being one of them, knowing that
the people at the top are are have their backs,
knowing that the people on the top are committed to
the same jobs that they're doing, it would be impossible,
I would imagine to be a CBP agent and and
and working for somebody like I'm not trying to be
too terribly partisan here, but Joe Biden did not have
their backs. Yeah, when when Texas sealed off the border
(42:13):
with razor wire, Joe Biden sent in forklist to lift
that razor wire so people could come in.
Speaker 5 (42:17):
And that had to be very disheartening for agents.
Speaker 20 (42:20):
On a bob certainly was. And to your point, I'm
looking and I don't like to be partisan either, But
I worked as a border from under agent under four
different administrations, from Clibama to Trump and and a portion
of Biden. And I can tell you that before all
those administrations, Republican, Democrat, all did things to improve border security,
(42:41):
all hired agents, put more funding into the border and technology.
But but but no agents know that the top they're back,
and uh, and we're able to get back out and
do the jobs they were hired to do, and that's
protect the US Mexico border and rest those that are
looking to do bad things and bringing bad things across.
Speaker 13 (43:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
Well, and you know you say protect the border, but
what that means is protect the people on this side
of the border. And when you get this many drugs,
you know, apprehended and stop from being released into the
interior of the United States to feed people's addictions and
so forth. That is indeed the job of the president.
That's indeed the job of CBP is to protect the
people of this country. That is what true homeland security
(43:21):
looks like. So this is great news. Congratulations to all
the CBP officers and agents out there doing the job.
And Sheriff, thank you very much for the time this morning.
We should wish you a very merry Christmas here.
Speaker 5 (43:33):
Thank you, Bob, God bless you. Merry Christmas.
Speaker 3 (43:35):
TERYLD County Sheriff thatteus Cleveland with us this morning. The numbers,
by the way, that we were talking about thirty four
hundred plus pounds of marijuana, sees twelve three hundred and
ninety seven pounds of cocaine, fifty four nine hundred and
ninety four pounds of methamphetamine, two hundred and thirty six
pounds of heroin, one hundred and ninety six pounds of fentanyl,
(43:57):
along with over five million dollars in unreported currency ands
and AMO as well. So tremendous job by our CBP agents.
It is five point fifty sevens now. This is five
fifty seven now. This is Houston's morning news.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
This is US Radio seven forty kt RH Houston and
iHeartRadio station Guaranteed Human. Now the latest news, weather, it's
more of what matters to you from the John Morris
Services Studios.
Speaker 3 (44:30):
The US is in pursuit of a third oil tank
er off the coast of Venezuela, and the Democrats keep
crying about the Epstein files. Good morning, Bob France and
for Jimmy, this is your six o'clock report on news
radio seven forty kt er h Cliff Saunders with News
Sky Mike with traffic.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
All right, Nord Freeway, It's been all about you this morning.
First of all, the visibility has been a thing I
noticed from Willis. We can barely see what's going on outbound.
That's a truck wreck just north of the loop. At
cross timbers will take two lanes. This is outbound, not inbound.
Also rankin outbound. It's showing clear, but I I still
see some backup here. This is coming up from the
belt on the main lanes. They did clear that rollover
(45:05):
on the HOV Now I'm getting reports of some sucond
shown fourteen eighty eight. We'll zume that at the six
ten Derek from League City.
Speaker 36 (45:13):
Good morning, sky Mike, dude. The southbound side of I
forty five at ninety six, right there in the intersection,
and it's super foggy. No toe truck ninjas onsite.
Speaker 4 (45:23):
So well said, that's a really bad spot there the
feeder road forty five and ninety six. I'm skoty Mike
at your Generator Supercenter dot com traffic center.
Speaker 5 (45:31):
All right, thank you, sir.
Speaker 3 (45:32):
Denz bog Advisor in effect until ten o'clock this morning.
After that, it's going to be partly sunny with a
high near seventy nine tonight down to about sixty six overnight.
What about the rest of the week. We're gonna check
in with Richard Lewelling coming up at six ten to
find out. Right now sixty eight at your official severe
Weather station is Radio seven forty KTRH and.
Speaker 5 (45:51):
Now's time for the morning news.
Speaker 6 (45:52):
Here's Cliff Saunders, Thank you, Bob, six oh two on
kt r HR. Top story, Out of the Blue.
Speaker 10 (45:58):
Senator Schumer suddenly cares about the Epstein files.
Speaker 6 (46:02):
That's the hoax, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche on NBC.
The Dems complaining that the release of the Epstein files
was incomplete because a picture of President Trump was removed,
but that was temporary, just to make sure no victims
were being depicted in the photo. That is not satisfying
Democrats or contrarian Republicans like Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massey.
Speaker 37 (46:24):
The quickest way, and I think the most expeditious way
to get justice for these victims is to bring inherent
contempt against Pam Bondy, and that doesn't require going through
the courts and give her you and basically ROCNNA and
I are talking about and drafting that right now.
Speaker 6 (46:43):
Massey talking about impeaching the US Attorney General. On CBS
six ZHO three, the Coast guardists pursuing a third oil
tanker off the coast of Venezuela, Texas Congressman Pat Fallon
says This is another way to pressure Maduro Nicholas Maduro,
the dict there to either leave or slow down the
drug trafficking to the US by Venezuela.
Speaker 21 (47:05):
Well, you can hit internet and you're talking about international
water shrikes where Mexico it's a land route.
Speaker 6 (47:13):
Meantime, one of the other two tankers seized by the
US has arrived off the shore of Galveston. The President
may address this later today when he makes an announcement
with the Secretary of War Pete Hexath at mar Lago.
US Special envoye Steve Whitcoff says weekend talks with Russia
about ending the Ukraine War were quotes productive, but Texas
(47:33):
Congressman Michael McCall says it comes down to the one
man that wasn't in Miami talking to Witcoff.
Speaker 7 (47:39):
They will have a good peace plan to present to Putin.
The question now, Brian's gonna be how does Putin respond
to that?
Speaker 6 (47:46):
McCall on Fox six ZHO four to Texas Congressman Chip
Roy Keith self, they're making a move on another threat
to the country, launching the Sharia Free America Caucus. Brandon
Waltons with Texas Scorecard says This follows the fight against
Sharia law in Texas.
Speaker 12 (48:02):
Certainly, we've seen other concerns in Houston and some other
of the big urban areas. There is a real concern
here here. This comes after Governor Greg Abbott has already
listed groups like the Muslim Brotherhood in the Council on
American Islamic Relations as foreign terrorist organizations.
Speaker 6 (48:17):
Earlier this year, Governor Rabbits signed a law a ban
of Sharia law and Sharia compounds in the Lone Star State.
Closer to home, Harris County meddling in federal law yet again,
filing an amicus brief in the support of the National
Firearms Act, which is being sued over its constitutionality after
Congress removed a two hundred dollars fee attached to machine
(48:39):
gun and suppressor sales.
Speaker 30 (48:41):
Now it's just burdened some regulation for those wanting to
sell or trade their machine guns.
Speaker 13 (48:45):
Let's say you were in a bind and you needed
fifty grand. You couldn't get that fifty grand, Abbot, but
until the transfer went through.
Speaker 30 (48:53):
Danny Clark with Collector's Firearms says Harris County really doesn't
have any reason to be involved in this any time that.
Speaker 13 (48:59):
There are new gun legislation, all the local municipality he's
always going about, and I'm sure this is the same thing.
Speaker 30 (49:07):
He added that most concerns about repealing the NFA are overblown,
especially when it comes to suppressors. Ethan Buchanan News Radio
seven forty KTRH six five.
Speaker 6 (49:15):
The left tries to blame the affordability crisis on Donald Trump,
but it was actually four years of Joe Biden's inflation
to get where we're at. Texas Senator John Cornyn says
Trump is fixing it, starting with the Big Beautiful.
Speaker 36 (49:28):
Bill permanently strengthened the employer provided child care credit.
Speaker 6 (49:32):
Now the mainstream media bashes the bill ignores the fact
that milk and dairy prices are dropping. Economist dj An
Tony says President Trump is given farmers more flexibility by
cutting red tape.
Speaker 15 (49:44):
That increased supply ends up driving prices back down.
Speaker 6 (49:48):
It's that Trump's energy policies are also helping out those
policies resulting in less pain at the pump. The state
wide average for gas this morning is two forty six
a gallon. That said, automakers are raising prices on you
cars in a very sneaky way.
Speaker 14 (50:03):
When car shopping, pay attention to the sticker on the window.
The delivery charge has increased significantly. The car pros Jerry
Reynolds says, some of these fees have doubled.
Speaker 16 (50:14):
I had a ram truck that was twenty one ninety
five for transportation that used to be not long ago,
a charge under one thousand.
Speaker 14 (50:24):
Dollars and fuel has gone up, but not that much.
Speaker 16 (50:27):
It's a profit center and they can charge more for
the transportation than what they're actually paying.
Speaker 38 (50:33):
He says.
Speaker 14 (50:33):
The fees are uniform and manufacturers are taking advantage. I'm
Erica Smith, News Radio seven forty KTICH.
Speaker 6 (50:40):
We're schecking flights as the Christmas travel week continues.
Speaker 13 (50:43):
Right now.
Speaker 6 (50:44):
We've got ten delays out of Bushing, twelve out of
Hobby Jackson's trip up the Raiders twenty three to twenty one.
Rockets lose to Sacramento one, twenty five to one twenty four.
I'm Cloff Saunters on Houston's News Weather in Traffic station
Use Radio seven forty KTRH be informed.
Speaker 5 (51:01):
Be on time.
Speaker 2 (51:03):
Houston's Morning News continues with Jimmy Arrett.
Speaker 3 (51:07):
All Right, it is six oh seven. Good morning to you.
I'm Bob Frand sitting in for Jimmy during this Christmas week.
Appreciate you being with us. It's the twenty second morning
of the twelfth month in the Year of Our Lord,
twenty twenty five. So what are we supposed to do
with the news that Fulton County, Georgia, largest county in Georgia,
of course Atlanta being the central city, admitting that basically, yeah,
(51:33):
we stole the election. What are we supposed to do
with that now? And of course I'm talking about the
twenty twenty election. Maybe you've already seen the story. Fulton
County has admitted that it illegally certified three hundred and
fifteen thousand ballots in the twenty twenty election. Do you
recall exactly who won the state of Georgia and by
(51:54):
how much in the twenty twenty election in that razor
within electoral defeat. Yeah, Joe Biden won Georgia by eleven
seven hundred votes. Three hundred and fifteen thousand votes were
illegally certified because they did not have signatures from election workers.
(52:18):
That means they are not valid, That means they don't count,
that means they never happened. And if Georgia would have
gone and of course it begs the question how many
other states engaged in similar type things, But at least
in this particular case, Georgia would have gone to President Trump,
and you know, who knows how things would have gone
from there. But Fulton County admitted they quote violated the
(52:41):
rules in the twenty twenty election when they certified three
hundred and fifteen thousand early votes that lacked poll workers signatures.
The direct statement from Fulton County officials quote, we don't
dispute the allegation. And if you don't dispute the allegation,
that means you are saying we agree with it. We
don't we agree with it. It's true that means those
(53:02):
votes never should have counted. This came during a December
ninth hearing before the Georgia State Election Board, stemming from
a challenge filed by David Cross, a local election integrity activists,
which quite frankly, every single state in the country, particularly
you know, purple or battleground states, should have election integrity
activists just like this. You know, Texas usually isn't really
(53:24):
in play in that regard. Neither is Ohio my home
state as well. You know, very very much reliably read.
But in states where you know, a few thousand votes
can make a huge difference. Absolutely, we need to have
these kinds of challenges. The Fulton County Board of Registration
and Elections told the SEB the elections board in the
(53:46):
hearing that while she has not seen the tapes herself,
the county does not dispute that the tapes were not signed.
Speaker 5 (53:53):
It's a violation of the rule.
Speaker 3 (53:54):
Since twenty twenty, again we have new leadership and a
new building, a new board, and new standard operating procedures,
and since then the training has been better. But we
don't dispute the allegation from the twenty twenty election. Here's
what I'll just say. You know, for four years now,
we are now five. We have been told if you
don't admit and acknowledge that Joe Biden won the election
(54:17):
in twenty twenty, fair and square, as an election denier,
you are un American and you're a threat to our democracy.
They scream at us, they scream at Donald Trump, and
just say.
Speaker 5 (54:27):
Admit it. You lost. Just admit it, you lost.
Speaker 3 (54:31):
There was nothing a foul, no one ran a foul
of the rules. Just admit it. They've been telling us
this now for five years. How about it? How about
we now say you stole literally the state of Georgia.
That's what that we know of how many others. It's
just it's infuriating, is what it is.
Speaker 22 (54:51):
Here.
Speaker 3 (54:52):
We are moving forward, but the election system is indeed broken.
Speaker 5 (54:58):
Six eleven.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
Let's do traffick and weather and find out if anybody
else is broken winter Are you.
Speaker 5 (55:02):
Marked safe from? Are you marked safe from anything? This morning?
Fox's Chat GPT.
Speaker 4 (55:08):
I haven't figured that out here, Okay, we'll figure it out.
Hit us on the free iHeartRadio app. All right, southbound
Nord Freeway, the hob at rank and that wreck is
still there. It's stuff to see stuff this morning. And
the lights aren't as flashy.
Speaker 5 (55:22):
As they would normally be.
Speaker 4 (55:23):
Also, they're still taking up a left lane here. This
is Nord Freeway southbound. I got a second problem cross timbers.
This is multiple lanes here. It's a wreck, a big truck.
And look at the suckage. Now from West Road down
you lose about fourteen minutes this way east text that's
a stall southbound right at Laura Coffee.
Speaker 5 (55:40):
They've moved him over to the side. He's mining his
own business.
Speaker 4 (55:43):
But let's keep our heads up because visibility is the
thing this morning.
Speaker 5 (55:47):
Don't let people surprise you.
Speaker 20 (55:48):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
There, Well, we got some major stuckage on the forty
five South at about forte eighty eight.
Speaker 4 (55:54):
Their fire truck and fleets all over and Travis back up. Hey,
don't forget this. Your name represents your hood. My work wife,
Christina Cruz has a wreck here. Put in your system here,
two left lanes if you're following navigation, and I've got
a pretty good backup coming down from Conroe.
Speaker 5 (56:11):
A quick one from Kyle from prince Wood.
Speaker 24 (56:13):
Hey, go morning, Scott, Mike and Marry Christmas South. Found
on the down side of the overpass that Bay Area Boulevard.
Speaker 6 (56:21):
You got some right lings tangled up.
Speaker 13 (56:23):
Looks pretty bad over there.
Speaker 4 (56:25):
Yeah, that's a lot of flashy lights. This is your
Gulf Freeway. Stay on those mainlanes, but inbound We're all right.
I'm skylike it's your Ability Tree Experts Traffic Center.
Speaker 5 (56:33):
All right, thank you, sir.
Speaker 3 (56:35):
And our forecast today comes from Richard Lewelling at the
Weather Channel.
Speaker 5 (56:39):
Richard, good morning everyone.
Speaker 21 (56:41):
The primary concern is the widespread moisture keeping us significantly
warmer than normal, and the panche fog that will continue
to stay widespread here through late morning, as temperatures are
going to remain well above our typical normal sixty four.
If the fog lives, that's going to deliver sunshine this afternoon,
warming near eighty today overnight to sixty five as areas
(57:02):
of fong will make a return.
Speaker 5 (57:03):
Warm moist pattern will hold through the week.
Speaker 21 (57:05):
You had Tuesday and Wednesday morning fong than sunshine highs
both days right around eighty and Christmas Day bright sunshine
well above average eighty.
Speaker 5 (57:14):
Friday's high eighty one. All right, thank you sir.
Speaker 3 (57:19):
And right now we have sixty eight degrees at your
official severe weather station. News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 5 (57:26):
Fifty nine inbound at the loop is always a problem.

Speaker 3 (57:35):
This is Tucker Carlson from I believe it was Thursday
at America Fest in Phoenix, the Turning Point, USA's largest convention.
Speaker 39 (57:45):
What you're watching now attacking people on the attacking millions
of Americans because they're Muslims.
Speaker 5 (57:51):
It's disgusting, and I'm a Christian.
Speaker 19 (57:53):
I'm not a Muslim, I'm going.
Speaker 39 (57:54):
I know there's a lot of effort acclaim I'm a
secret g Hotty, I'm not. You should not attack people
on those grounds, and you're seeing.
Speaker 5 (58:01):
It from Republic. What the hell are you doing. What
you're doing is trying to divide the country.
Speaker 39 (58:06):
And I've lived through fifty years of this craft, all
these fake race wars that they're always promoting.
Speaker 3 (58:11):
You can hear a pin drop in that massive arena
and auditorium as Tucker Carlson went full Jihati. And he's
right when he said, people say I'm a secret Jihati,
I'm not. I don't think people think it's a secret
at all. You're just a full on Jahati. He spent
that much time talking about defending Muslims. Nobody is attacking Muslims.
What we are attacking is the imposition of Muslim rule
(58:33):
in many, many large communities across this country.
Speaker 5 (58:36):
That's what people are worried about. It's called Sharia law.
Speaker 3 (58:39):
Coming up in a moment, we're going to check in
with Brandon Wallens, editor at the Texas Scorecard, about a
new bill proposed by a couple of Texas congressmen, including
Chip Roy and it is for a Sharia free America.
That conversation coming up after we do traffic and weather.
Speaker 4 (58:55):
Scott Mikey, I got Nord Freeway. Whoa, whoa southbound Timbers.
This re's been here for over an hour now. It's
making me nervous too. We're backed up from the Shepherd
Carbet's inbound at cross Timbers three lanes here and then
way further back to forty two, really closer to fourteen
eighty eight, coming down past Magnolia. That rex pretty ugly
(59:15):
backups now from Conro sixteen extra minutes this way.
Speaker 5 (59:18):
Not much for reroutes there either. I'm Skymike.
Speaker 4 (59:21):
It's your Generator Supercenter dot Com Traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (59:24):
I've got a dense bog advisory in effect until ten o'clock. Otherwise,
partly sunny today with a high near seventy nine tonight
down at about sixty six. Tuesday, mostly sunny seventy eight.
Christmas Eve is the same, then Christmas Day Thursday, partly
Claudie could touch eighty degrees. How about that right now
sixty eight at your official severe weather station, News Radio
seven forty KTRH. Let's check the headlines now, Cliff sunders
(59:47):

Speaker 16 (01:00:20):
What's happening today?
Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
Happened?
Speaker 5 (01:00:22):
And likl what happens?
Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
The things are happening right here on news radio seven KTRH.
Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
Okay sixty two poort of clarification. It's not a bill,
my apologies. It's not a bill that Chip Roy and
Keith self are pushing here. It is they announced the
formation of a new caucus, which is the Sharia Free
America Caucus and joining us. How to tell us more
about it is Brandon Walton's editor of the Texas Scorecard, branding, good.
Speaker 5 (01:00:48):
Morning, good morning.
Speaker 12 (01:00:50):
He's herding me on.
Speaker 5 (01:00:51):
Yeah, appreciate you coming on. So tell us a little
bit about this.
Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
Why the need now in the minds of representative representatives
self and roy for is Sharia Free America Caucus.
Speaker 12 (01:01:03):
Well, I think no matter where you are, whether you're
in Texas or other parts of the country, we've seen
an increase, especially this year in stories that have raised
a lot of concern about the Islamification of the country.
I mean you literally look at people like the gunman
in d c who shot the National Guards troops. You
(01:01:23):
look at even a situation in Fort Worth where you
had and Islamic terrorist essentially saying he wanted to blow
up a building. Luckily he was caught before he was
able to do that. But we have a lot of
a lot of these stories coming out, and a lot
of it, unfortunately has come from people who are led
in to the country through the bid during the Biden administration.
(01:01:48):
But let's head in to come in from Afghanistan as
quote unquote refugees. Now, the Sharia Free America Caucus from
Chip Roar and Key South and Tommy Tubberviille, the Senator
from Alabama, as well as choining in on this, is
hopefully going to continue to put more attention on this.
Chip Roys already announced legislation that would stop any immigration
(01:02:13):
from people who adhere to Sharia. And we were talking
about this right now. We're talking about, you know, kind
of the very extreme elements of Islam that have really
been what's got attention over the last several months.
Speaker 3 (01:02:31):
Especially we're talking with Brandon Walton's editor of the Texas Scorecard.
We're talking about this new Sharia Free America Caucus being
sponsored and started by Chip Roy and Keith self. So
tell me a little bit about what the caucus will do.
I mean, I think most most members of Congress, who
are well aware of what Islam does and what radical
(01:02:54):
Islam looks like, would probably be, you know, inclined to
oppose anything that would would advance the cause does What
is the purpose of the caucus?
Speaker 5 (01:03:02):
What will they do?
Speaker 13 (01:03:05):
Well?
Speaker 12 (01:03:05):
As the exsertation is that they'll be able to hopefully
craft some legislation that we can get to the President
of Tusk as soon as possible that actually addresses this
head on. We've seen already some action happening in Texas
where you've had Governor Greg Gabbott and Attorney General Ken
Paxton both either calling for or launching their own investigations
(01:03:26):
into some of these cases in Texas. For example, in
North Texas, the governor has called on the Texas Rangers
and local prosecutors to investigate what looks to be an
alleged kind of Sharia court that's been set up in
North Texas. Of course, you have other situations as well,
the Epic City Housing development, which is essentially this proposed
(01:03:49):
Islamic enclave that's receiving a lot of attention from the
Attorney General and the governor. So there's a lot of
action happening in Texas, and hopefully we'll see some similar
a start to take place in DC.
Speaker 3 (01:04:02):
Yeah, I hope so as well, because this is a threat.
We don't know how many, you know, Muslims came into
the United States again with ill intent during the Biden
four years of open borders. We do know that, you know,
tens of millions of people came into the country, and
we know that they were represented I think one hundred
and sixty five of the two hundred and three recognized countries,
many of them Islamic theocracies and out outsourcing and exporting
(01:04:25):
their Sharia law beliefs into the United States as a
part of their goal of establishing the global caliphates. So
I'm glad there are leaders like Representatives Roy and Selfie,
because we need, we need somebody to step up and
push back against this very, very dangerous threat, and this
caucus will be a central figure there or a central
part of that. Brandon Walton's Texas Scorecard editor. Appreciate you
(01:04:47):
coming on this morning. Thank you for the great information,
of course, thank you all right, six twenty seven. Now
let's get more information, this time about your money. See

Only eighteen percent seventy three percent disapproval.
Speaker 19 (01:07:08):
What are you doing wrong?
Speaker 5 (01:07:11):
Well, clearly that's an outlier poll.
Speaker 6 (01:07:13):
That is how House Minority Leader her Keem Jeffries responded
to the latest numbers from Quinnipiac. This comes on the
heels of the DNC spiking the autopsy on the twenty
twenty four election not releasing the results to the public.
Jeffries also claims that a three year extension of Obamacare
subsidies will pass the House. The weight is shot fired
(01:07:36):
in the battle over healthcare.
Speaker 27 (01:07:37):
Democrats say Republicans abandoned the capital for Christmas and New
Years without even voting on a subsidy extension. Republicans accused
Democratic leaders of not wanting to actually fix the problem
and trying instead to seize healthcare as an issue for
the twenty twenty.
Speaker 5 (01:07:52):
Six mid terms.
Speaker 27 (01:07:54):
In their quest renew Obamacare tax credits, Democrats wouldn't fund

Speaker 6 (01:08:52):
Or does our Tom Homan on Fox? As illegal aliens
aren't coming in by the millions anymore, and border patrol
is seizing a massive amount of illegal drugs as well.
Speaker 20 (01:09:02):
For decades, going back to Ronald Reagan. We've had the
war on drugs, but never have we seen somebody really
take it up like we're seeing now, and I think
that's what it should be. We're losing hundreds of thousands
of Americans to fit in.
Speaker 6 (01:09:13):
All Erald County sheriff thanus Cleveland. Drug seizures at the
border are up more than sixty two percent from fiscal
year twenty twenty four and looking ahead to twenty twenty six,
the governor of Texas has made flipping Harris County one
of his major priorities.
Speaker 40 (01:09:28):
The Houston Chronicle reports Governor Grey Gabbott plans to spend
twenty five million dollars from his war chest to turn
Harris County dark red in next year's election. County gopchair
Cindy Siegel believes it can be done.
Speaker 31 (01:09:40):
I think we've shown people, not only in Harris County,
but across the state and nationally that Harris County is winnable.
Speaker 12 (01:09:49):
There was a time that it was read.
Speaker 31 (01:09:51):
And we plan on making it read again.
Speaker 40 (01:09:53):

Speaker 18 (01:10:15):

Speaker 6 (01:10:18):
But the newly released state economic scorecard blasted lawmakers for
approving what it called historic overspending to the tune of
three hundred and thirty eight billion dollars In the latest budget,
Texas A and M's Board of Regents effectively banned DEI
and gender ideology, a wing for conservatives who have been
pushing a back against this sort of thing for years.
Speaker 33 (01:10:41):
They're funded by the tax payers, and it's the taxpayers

Speaker 6 (01:10:52):
State reb Brian Harrison says the Texans are already over
tax so their dollars shouldn't be used against them by
the same public institutions that they fund. The President's decision
to reclassify cannabis could give medical marijuana companies a much
needed financial boost and the Fazzio with the Texas Cannabis
Policy Center says that while there are research and tax

benefits to this reclassification, it's important to understand what the
executive order did not do.
Speaker 34 (01:11:20):
It doesn't do anything to address the federal and state
conflict with programs like the Compassionate Use Program. It does
not legalize marijuana.
Speaker 6 (01:11:30):
The move also does little for Texas hamp businesses, which
are still steering down a federal THHC band six thirty six.

and h Boy. This is a This is a tough one.
This is a really really hard story to watch and
to listen to if we're doing this part on the radio,
but I wish you could see her face. A bus driver,
a sixty six year old bus driver named Diane Crawford
(01:12:47):
has been serving a rural Pennsylvania school district for thirty
years on the bus. She was just fired why because
of troublemaking Spanish students using Spanish language to harass and
bully young other students. She put up a sign that
says please speak English only on the bus because she
(01:13:10):
wanted to know because she's in charge, well said to
these students, to these other students.
Speaker 5 (01:13:16):
They fired her for this.
Speaker 41 (01:13:18):
I do care.
Speaker 19 (01:13:20):
I care about a lot.
Speaker 42 (01:13:22):
Caring is exactly what Diane Crawford says led her to
serve the Junieta County School District and subcontract with rorer Buss.
Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
Oh no, what else to do?
Speaker 13 (01:13:32):

Speaker 43 (01:13:38):
Medicare and Medicaid now, and snap. I had to go

Speaker 42 (01:13:45):
This, Crawford says her contract with er Bus came to
a halt very first after she put up this sign,
which read, out of respect to English only students, there
will be no speaking Spanish on this bus.
Speaker 44 (01:14:00):
I didn't mean it to be racially insensitive or anything
like that.
Speaker 42 (01:14:03):
Crawford claims she never got to explain that the sign
was put up to encourage safe and respectful behaviors and
was directed at a bilingual student who allegedly had a
history of riling up other students.
Speaker 44 (01:14:15):
I didn't know if he was bullying somebody telling them
to do something they should they shouldn't do. How do
you keep control of your bus if you have no control?
Speaker 42 (01:14:26):
The district and roer Bus writing in a joint statement
today that the investigation had finished quickly after Crawford admitted
to installing the note, writing quote, the relevant facts of
the scision were fully known and discussed among district and
roarer leadership, and that it was quote determined that the
conduct did not align with the standards and expectations for
(01:14:48):
student transportation providers.
Speaker 5 (01:14:50):
Do you regret making a sign?
Speaker 43 (01:14:53):
Maybe I should have worded it different, Maybe I should
have said bullying has no bullying in any language. But
I didn't mean it to be anything but to correct him.
I dedicated everything I had to driving boss.
Speaker 19 (01:15:11):
It was for the kids.
Speaker 13 (01:15:12):
I love the kids.
Speaker 3 (01:15:15):
Kids don't make That's just a horrific story. She's trying
to protect kids. She asked to keep control of her bus,
and she can't understand what the Spanish speaking students are saying,
so she says, speak English only, and she got fired
for it. I would very much like to hear responses
and reactions to that. If you want to use Mike's
talkback button on the free r Heart Radio app, I
would very much like to hear what you have to
(01:15:36):
say about this. Should Spanish speaking students be forced to
speak English when they're either in schools or on buses,
especially if they can speak English? Is it wrong to
request that so that the authority figures in charge can
be sure they know what is being said? And if
bullying or instigating students into doing certain things or trying
(01:15:57):
to push them into doing certain things that are un say,
don't the authority figures need to know that. I'm curious
to see if you've got a response to that. We'll
talk more about it. Coming up right now at six
forty let's do trap.

THAT i just mentioned before the, break and that is
(01:19:08):
the bus driver In pennsylvania who was fired for putting
up a sign Said english only on the bus because
she was worried About spanish speakers bullying and perhaps inciting
other students to do things that are. Dangerous she needed
to be in control of her. Bus SO i wanted

lo and Behold henry checking in with us, Here, henry

care if you are born here or if you are
an immigrant too. Here if you are, here assimilate and
do what is done, here and that is to be

Speaker 45 (01:20:12):
RESPECTFULLY i think she was in the right Because i've
been bullied many times with other languages WHEN i was
in high school In Milby High school back in the,
nineties and it taught me a lot of what they
were saying about. Me so, YEAH i don't see anything
(01:20:34):
wrong with that.
Speaker 3 (01:20:35):
ALL i completely. AGREE i think that bus driver was
in the. RIGHT i think her termination is completely. Unjustified
AND i think this ongoing attempt to placate every nationality
and ethnicity rather than Push americanism first is a problem
for a lot of, people and any person in, authority
a position of, authority particularly one who's transporting a busload
(01:20:58):
of dozens of, kids ought to have a right to
know what's going on as the authority figure in that,
vehicle because guess, what lives are in danger if there's
chaos breaking out on a. BUS i, mean it can
lead to some serious. Problems and Uh god bless the
bus driver for doing what she felt was right and
trying to get those kids to speak only In english
and to the. District another story. Altogether keep those coming in.
(01:21:20):

(01:35:52):
found guilty of obstruction of.
Speaker 5 (01:35:54):
Justice it's a.
Speaker 3 (01:35:55):
Felony she takes more than a robe to act like a,
Judge Jonathan turley, Writing Judge Hannah dugan was found guilty
of the most serious count brought against her in a
case that captivated many in the. Nation she famously told
a fellow judge to wear her robe in the hallway
to confront federal officers seeking to arrest the. Suspect do
you remember this. Case dugan was found guilty of obstruction
(01:36:19):
and helping an a legal migrant evade arrest by THE
ice officers that were there in plain clothes in that.
Courtroom she was acquitted of the misdemeanor charge of Concealing Flores,
ruiz but it was the felony that mattered. Most she
was lionized by the, left including attorneys and, politicians for
her effort to facilitate the escape of an illegal alien
(01:36:41):
wanted By. Ice she had a prominent legal team and
she fought this thing every step of the. Way but
every single thing that was alleged that she did was
on surveillance cameras in the hallway of the, courtroom in the,
courtroom everywhere that she. Went it was very clear she
told the agents to get out of the hallway and
(01:37:03):
then told them to go down to see another, judge
and then meanwhile she smuggled the illegal alien out through
a back. Door so it's JUST i don't, know it's
par for the. COURSE i Suppose President trump continues to
remind everybody That democrats are not looking or excuse, Me
democrats generally, speaking not all of, them, judges But democrats
(01:37:25):

Okay seven eighteen coming up in a Couple we're hoping
to catch up with The president Of Collector's Firearms Standy,
Clerk Harris. County according To peace in The Texas voice
or sent up by The Texas, Voice Harris, county joined
by two other local governments and represented by a leftist
interest group filed in an amicus brief or a meekas
brief you'd pick supporting the constitutionality of The National Firearms.
Speaker 5 (01:40:28):
Act this was filed in a lawsuit brought by gun rights.
Speaker 3 (01:40:30):
Activists Harris County Attorney Christian menafie has been accused of
politicizing his office to benefit his congressional. Campaign so three local,
governments Including Harris, county have filed a brief in opposition
to legal claims made by these gun rights advocates in
a lawsuit seeking to have provisions of The National Firearms
act declared. Unconstitutional i'm going to noodle over that one
(01:40:55):
for a little. While how could The National Firearms act be?
Unconstitutional even The constitution and Its Second? Amendment but, Anyway
The Silencer Shop, foundation joined By Gun owners Of america
and six other, planets filed suit against The Bureau Alcohol
tobacco On firearms earlier this, year challenging provisions of The
National Firearms, act enacted in nineteen thirty. Four The National
(01:41:17):
Firearms act as premised On congress's taxing. Power this is
all in The Texas. Voice by the, way The act
imposed a two hundred dollars tax approximately five thousand dollars
in today's, dollars on the manufacturer and transfer of particular
classes of. Firearms the NFA's authors left no doubt that
THE nfa was an exercise of the taxing, power and
(01:41:39):
The Supreme court upheld it on that. Basis this has
been the uncontroversial understanding of courts and commentators for nearly a.
Century but THE Nfa National Firearms act no longer imposes
any tax on the vast majority of. Firearms it purports to.
Regulate the one big beautiful bill which takes, effect of,
course In, january Which congress and The president enacted In
(01:42:00):
july zero's the manufacture and transfer tax on the nearly
ALL nfa regulated.
Speaker 5 (01:42:07):
Firearms that means.
Speaker 3 (01:42:08):
The constitutional foundation on which THE nfa rested has. Dissolved
so it gets a little bit. Complex i'm just giving
you what The Texas voice. Wrote we're gonna Let Danny
klerk explain it to, us hopefully coming up here in
a couple of. Moments we'll check in and see what

Speaker 3 (01:44:17):
Rh probably go ahead and put a hold on this
rest of the story because where it looks like we're
not making our connection With Danny clerk From Collector's, Firearms
so we'll probably save that for a little bit later
in the. Week but it is obviously a big deal
and a big story for gun rights, activists and this
lawsuit is something we will indeed pay attention. To playing
a little bit off of What Cliff saunders just. Said he,
(01:44:39):
said you would not believe who stood up and showed
up and showed out if you will at THE uh
at The Turning POINT Usa America. Fest let me go
ahead and in that suspense this she she was a
guest Of Erica, kirk who of course is the new
chair AND ceo of Turn point IN, usa which was
(01:45:01):
founded by her late Husband Eric. Kirk kirk brought her
out and her name is.
Speaker 5 (01:45:05):
Indeed, WELL.
Speaker 26 (01:45:12):
I have the utmost respect and admiration for our. President
he he HAS i don't know if he even knows,
this but he's given so many people hope that there's
(01:45:36):
a chance to beat the bad guys and to, win
and to do it with your head held high and your.
Speaker 6 (01:45:49):
Integrity.
Speaker 26 (01:45:50):
Intact he's From, Queens New york like. Me, so but
what it's shown me personally is sometimes you, know even
in the worst feeling times in your, life you think
that you're never going to come back from.
Speaker 13 (01:46:11):
It but you.
Speaker 26 (01:46:13):
Do and our president shows that he's been through every
single thing a person could be. Through publicly having to
constantly be lied. On it's not really that funny until
you are in that person's shoes that's being lied. On
(01:46:36):
you'll never understand what it feels. Like that person is
a human. Being they have family who has to read those.
Lies and that's not and it's just not. Fair but
this administration is full of people with heart and.
Speaker 3 (01:46:57):
Soul At Turning POINT usa At America fest on stage
with With Erica, kirk the NEW ceo AND uh and
president or chair if you, will of the. Organization courage
comes in many. Forms it takes a lot of guts TO,
uh you, know to run into a burning house to
save somebody from a. Fire there are a lot of
(01:47:19):
different ways that courage can be, shown But Nicki minaj
is showing a real strong brand of it right. Here
no one cancels like the. Left no one cancels like the,
left especially if you are a leftist, apostate if you
were a part of the. Left and it's kind of
like Radical, islam you, know and is A muslim who
leaves the, faith who is an apostate is marked for
(01:47:42):
death according to the tenets Of. Islam that's kind of
how the left. Operates maybe not the death, part but cancelation.
Absolutely and And Nicki minaj stepping up in a in
a field in an arena where she is, again you,
know represented by and represent so many people who are left,
thinkers you, know liberal or leftist, thinkers for her to
(01:48:05):
step up and tell all of, THEM i don't care
what you. SAY i have deep respect For Donald trump
And Jade vance and this. Administration she's putting her career
on the. Line that's gutsy and that's that's why she
was up there. Yesterday so kudos To Erica, Kirk kudos
To Nicki minaj herself for being willing to put a
career on the line in order to say what she
feels and to influence and perhaps to sway some other
(01:48:27):
voters who are fans of hers to maybe see things
a little bit of a different. Way All, right it

Speaker 3 (01:57:05):
SUBSCRIBE i want to share with you something From Senator
Mike lee Because Mike lee and several others are getting,
very very concerned about the lack of legislation being pushed
through because of well the sixty vote or excuse, me
the sixty vote requirement in The, senate he. Says Senator
Mike lee says that people don't understand what the sixty
(01:57:27):
vote rule actually. Is it's not sixty votes to pass
a piece of. Legislation it's something, else and it's something
that we can use to our. Advantage listen friendly.
Speaker 46 (01:57:36):
Reminder it doesn't take sixty votes to pass legislation in The.
Senate it takes a simple. Majority it takes sixty votes
to force debate to come to a. Close but there
are other ways of getting to a final, vote a
final vote cast at a simple majority in The senate
that don't involve. Culture all you have to do is
(01:57:57):
keep debating until nobody shows up the, debate or until
everybody has exhausted their right to. Speak they can only
speak twice on the same discreete legislative proposal on The
senate floor during the same legislative.
Speaker 19 (01:58:10):
Day the same legislative.
Speaker 46 (01:58:11):
Day can be kept open for, days, weeks even, months
if necessariana has in the. Past there are other ways
of getting. There we can't continue to see the sixty
vote cloture standard as synonymous with what's required to pass
a bill in The. Senate that's not how it, works
it's not how it was. Designed we can do.
Speaker 5 (01:58:31):
Better so in his tweets or his post ON x
Based Mike.
Speaker 3 (01:58:37):
Lee Senator Mike lee reminded everybody that it does take
sixty votes to achieve, cloture but not to pass a
vote up to pass a. Bill it's a simple, majority
and then he signed off within the zombie. Fulibuster, immediately
the first response to it, said let's do.
Speaker 5 (01:58:53):
It how can we?
Speaker 3 (01:58:54):
Help And Mike lee responded to that poster and, saying
one ask your senators To i'm sorry to make senators
speak to, filibuster ending the zombie, filibuster and to remind
them that passing a bill only takes fifty one. Votes
it's one of the first THINGS i did was send
that to a. SENATOR i want as many Senator and
by the, WAY i asked senator happens to Be Senator Bernie,
(01:59:16):
marino with WHOM i have a close working, relationship AND
i said thoughts and he said he's one hundred percent.
Right it peas me off And i'm not going to
say that that we don't already do. That so get
the message out there to as many senators as. Possible right,
now the biggest obstacle to getting significant and meaningful legislative
(01:59:38):
legislation done and advance The. America First trump agenda is
that sixty vote. Rule but it's about, cloture not about
the actual bills. Themselves and the zombie. Filibuster and by the,
way you know WHERE i actually saw this post From
Senator Mike. Lee it was from a retweet or a
repost From Elon musk, himself who said in the zombie,
(02:00:00):
filibuster it's a violation of The. CONSTITUTION i believe both
of them to be. Right let's do traffick and weather.
Speaker 4 (02:00:08):

Attorney General todd blanche said yesterday more would come in
the next. Few weeks he attributed the delay mostly due
