Former Secret Service agent Michael Matrenga with M six Global Security.
By the way, just to note, radical leftists don't seem
to be attacked when they appear at colleges the way
conservatives and Kirk do. And maybe this is why Texas
State University forced to fire a professor accused of inciting
political violence. Thomas Alter praised radical leftists recently in Seattle.
Speaker 13 (03:57):

need to get quick answers to that first test.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
Cloy Robinson with the Texas State Teachers Association warns, though,

Speaker 19 (06:55):
One use Radio seven forty JTRH again.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
Good morning. We'll have plenty of information on Charlie Kirk.
Not to worry, We'll be following up all morning long
on the killer and the killing of Charlie. But first,
you know, it's Friday, and we've had a rough twenty
four to forty eight hours. It's time to, you know,
throw a little fun into the mix. Anyway, today's National
Video Game Day. And for those of you who think
(07:20):
it's a waste of time to play video games, the
statistics would not seem to back you up. It's not
a ton, but gamers earn an average of four and
fifty one dollars more per year than people who don't
play video games. And if your parents used to fight
with you, or we're spending too much time playing video games,
(07:41):
and plenty still do By the way, some gamer parents
are actually encouraging their kids to play video games, like
maybe it depends on what the game is. Here's what
we know. People who play, let's say, even a silly
game like Andy Crush, have a higher salary than people
(08:03):
who don't. People played is it fifa FIFA? I'm not
familiar with it. They lead the pack nearly seventy one
thousand dollars a year. The median annual salary for US
workers about sixty thousand dollars, so they make eleven thousand
dollars more per year. On average, People who played video
games as kids seventy one percent more likely to have
(08:23):
received a promotion recently. The biggest benefits of video games
were told stress and relief and relaxation, entertainment and fun,
strategic thinking, problem solving skills, and hand eye coordination. Study
also claims forty eight percent of children who play video
games have excellent grades in school and fifty eight percent
(08:45):
have excellent social lifes with other kids. Was this survey
done by the National Association of Video Games Forgive me
for being cynical and suspicious. I don't think there's anything
wrong with video games in moderation. All things in my aeration.
But it got be thinking, but what's the first video
game you ever played when you were a kid? I mean,
I'm old enough to go all the way back to Pong?
(09:08):
Do you remember?
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Pong?
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Pong was the first video game where you actually hooked
it up to the TV where the rabbit ears normally
went by the way. You may have to explain to
somebody right now what rabbit ears are. I'll get to that.
If you don't know what that is, I'll explain it further.
But you'd hook it up there and it was just
as simple as like a little blip on the screen
going back and forth like you're playing ping pong, And
(09:31):
it was called Pong. Really simple, really crude, But that's
kind of what began the whole thing. Five to ten
time for traffic and weather together.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
Trouble getting a signal on these rabbit ears here.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Terry, if you could reach over there, grab us some
tinfoil out of the kitchen. Yes, young people are going,
what what is he talking about?
Speaker 4 (09:52):
Yeah, looks back when we only had like three channels.
Speaker 20 (09:55):
That was it.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
Three channels. Let's do some forty five Nord freeway.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
I remember, I think everybody's okay now North Freeway Cyprus.
Would it looks like everybody's okay here. This is an
interesting problem though. We've got an accident. It's outbound, not inbound,
and one two three just that left line getting by.
Somebody lost a shipping container. This is on the freeway
on the one two three.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
Yep, call that.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Four lanes now northbound got backups from nineteen sixty. If
you're a big shot, jump on the Hardy Toil Road.
Commoners do the east text. We also had a little
trouble on the north sixty in eastbound after Hirsch. That's
a minor accident that's over on the side, not bothering
anybody for now. Just watch out. The ninjas may take
a right line. I'm seeing a little bit of a
scooch on the Southwest.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Freeway Beach Nut.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
I we'll have to zoom that figure out if we
got some laneage to deal with. At the five twenty break,
I'm Skymike in the USA RV Resorts dot Com traffic.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Center from r KTRH top Past Defenders twenty four hour
weather Center. Terry Smith is here. Forecast is definitely summer like.
We're more summer like than vul like for most of us.
Speaker 21 (10:59):
Yeah, it is, and I see the opportunity for a
shower thunderstorm to pop up, but I think really most
of us are going to be dry. In fact, I
think we're going to be dry today, but there'll be
an increase in the humidity enough that we may get
astray thundershower tomorrow and Sunday.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
And that's it.
Speaker 21 (11:19):
Other than that that slight chance of rain Saturday and Sunday,
the temperatures really are not going to change. The weather
pattern doesn't significantly change. Load of mid nineties today, load
of mid nineties through the weekend into early next week. Tuesday, Monday,
and Tuesday, we're dry. I just don't see any big
opportunities for any wet weather anytime soon.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Now, before you go, yeah, earlier this week, we had
a question of the day that might be a bit
it might be considered somewhat provocative. Unsavory. Oh, unsavory. I
didn't know you were going as far as unsavory. So
I thought, here's what we would do. Let's throw Terry
a bone and let her ask the question that you
get to ask the question today today for our listeners.
Speaker 21 (12:02):
Oh awesome, Okay, So for our listeners, What is it
that makes you think that fall has arrived?
Speaker 4 (12:12):
What happens? Is it football? Is it the month of September?
Speaker 21 (12:18):
Is it that the temperature is below ninety degrees or
even something else that's not on that list.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
What says to you that it's fall used.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
To be for me when I was up to my
butt in fallen leaves. But we don't have that problem
in Texas.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
Thing, you don't have leaves in Southeast Texas days.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Most of our leaves day on the trees all year long.
All right, So anyway, if you'd like to participate, here's
what you do. iHeartRadio ap KTRH, hit the talk back button,
you get up a thirty seconds. First name, where are
you calling from? And Terry's question of the day. What
for you constitutes fall? When is it fall in your world?
Five point thirteen?
Speaker 17 (12:52):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
By the way, current temperature seventy four at your official
severe weather station. News Radio seven forty KTRH ninety nine
one HT two.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
It's Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New South
Windows Solutions. Now back to Jimmy Barretts and the Houston
Morning News team all the info you need to take
on the day.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
So the whole Charlie Kirk story here online, in particular,
on social media, in particular to see what has been
happening over the last twenty four hours is it's amazing
in both a great way and in a very sad way.
There are people on social media that they're posting hateful things.
(13:32):
I'm shocked by the amounth. While I'm not shocked, I
shouldn't be shocked. I'm saddened by the amount of public
school teachers in particular that are you're posting stories about
how much they like what happened to Charlie Kirk. I mean,
there's some sick people out there, some really sick people.
So here's the bigger question, because there's a lot of
(13:54):
videos out there too, which ones are real and which
ones are fake? It's a fair amount of fake ones
out there. How can you tell? We'll have more in
that story coming up next. First, though, traffic and weather together,
we're checking out the drive again. Skymikes has the latest
on that.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
I got two problems on the North Freeway southbound. This
is the new one. It's the stall. It's riding in
the ramp after Greens where you hit the Beltway. So
watch out if you have a plane to catch and
Nord Freeway. This one's causing all kinds of craziness northbound
Cypress Wood. We've got four lanes blocked. Somebody lost a
container in the road. It does look like everybody's okay,
(14:30):
but now they need this super sized tow truck and
they're using the crane. They're trying to pick this thing up,
and it's a big smash northbound going up.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
To nineteen sixty.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
I'm skylike on the Generator Supercenter dot Com Traffic Center
from r KTRH top tax defenders, twenty four hour Weather
center for today, Sonny with a high temperature right about
ninety three.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Tomorrow mostly sunny's like chancefs straight shower storm ninety four,
hardly clouding on Sunday with the high ninety two. Right now,
temperature looks to be about seventy four. Here are your officials,
Beer Weather Station News Radio seven forty k TRH. It's

this morning. From the newsroom. Here's Cliff.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
Thank you, Jimmy. We're brought to you by DNM Auto.
Speaker 5 (15:10):
Losing the manhunt for Charlie Kirk's killer continues, an accidental
shooting at the Naval Academy leaves a midshipment injured, and
Eli Lilly is planning to build a near six million
dollar manufacturing campus right here in Houston.
Speaker 4 (15:24):

Anytime at KTRH dot com. Our next update is at
five thirty.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
What started in your car now works on your phone
with the new iHeartRadio apps.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
The new precepts are fantastic.
Speaker 22 (15:36):
Get Houston's news, weather, and traffic. How I listen to
ktr chanstead later. So what's real and what's fake? When
it comes to the Charlie Kirk story online? There are
bad actors out there, many of them in China and Russia,
who are putting all sorts of disinformation out there for
people to lap up and to get angry at one
(15:57):
another over. I mean those think about that for hours
will love nothing better than to continue to watch us
divide amongst ourselves. I mean, we're doing a good enough
job of that ourselves without getting any extra help from
China or Russia. But there are things you will see
online that look real, but they're not. Jake Green is
a digital forensics expert here. He has a little bit
(16:18):
on what to look for as far as to tell
what is real and what is fake.
Speaker 23 (16:22):
I think really in the age that we live in,
folks are looking for clicks. My brother's the history and
shot today of somebody who had posted on Facebook. It
was absolutely an AI generated image of that man walking
up the stairs. So there's so much that we can't
believe and it's just amazing.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
So but when we see.
Speaker 23 (16:41):
Videos produced by the FBI and put out for the
publics to view, we can depend on those.
Speaker 24 (16:48):
Yeah, So let me ask you about that since you
have this background in forensics, and forensics, as everybody knows,
is the art.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
Of solving right.
Speaker 24 (16:56):
When it comes to what the police are doing now
with all of the video that they are amassing, where
do they start? These have to be real time eyeballs,
don't they?
Speaker 19 (17:07):
That's right.
Speaker 23 (17:08):
So the very first thing that came out when we
think about the initial crime scene where Charlie was shot,
three thousand people roughly in that courtyard. That's a giant
populace compared to the surrounding neighborhoods and areas. And then
when the video is released today by the FBI, is
showing the shooter jumping off the roof running through the
sidewalks towards the parking lot, towards a wooded area, possibly
(17:29):
a neighborhood.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
That shooter moving.
Speaker 23 (17:31):
Away is going to limit the area that law enforcement
needs to start looking and to see if we can
identify any other location.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Data from a cell tower.
Speaker 23 (17:41):
We saw the wise home video from the same suspect
walking through the neighborhood. So the further he walks away
and gives us a direction of travel from this crime scene,
the more likely law enforcements is going to be able
to develop some excellent leads. In the video that's playing
right now, where it stops, it's pretty indicative that law
FBI decided to stop it right there, because that's if
(18:03):
you look to the right across that street, there's a
wooded area that's pretty dense.
Speaker 24 (18:08):
Yeah, listen, I don't have a whole lot of time,
but I want to ask you to see all those
cars in that parking lot. See all those cars whizzing
by him. Teslas now have cameras everywhere, and I'm wondering
if that's going to end up potentially being a boon
to investigators.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
It absolutely will.
Speaker 23 (18:23):
So if you actually look and count the cars, there
are a few Teslas in that parking lot.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
So we've seen with the Trump Casino fire with.
Speaker 23 (18:34):
The Tesla cybertruck burning Tesla very quickly helped the FBI
dig into those videos that were available, so I wouldn't
be surprised if we're doing the same here. However, the
person going through this courtyard here, they don't really get
close enough to one of those vehicles to trigger a century.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Mode to actually record.
Speaker 23 (18:53):
However, when he's going through a neighborhood, those cameras work
based on motion most of the time, so we will
begin to see more videos being released to the suspect,
either coming from the scene as he's walking away here
or actually going to the school.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
They pretty much have all that already. It is really
quite amazing. It's just trying to again identify who he is.
They know all about his clothes, they know what he
was wearing. They're probably doing some sort of a background
check to try to figure out where he bought those
clothes and narrow it down to certain stores and then
look for more video where they can get a better
(19:29):
look at his face to try to identify who he is.
They'll get this guy, there's no doubt about it. It's
just a matter of when five twenty seven time to
take a look at your money? Is we check in
with Denise Pelgrinny.
Speaker 25 (19:39):
Yeah, we're watching what's happening, Jimmy with that big immigration
rate on that Hyundai LG battery plan to Georgia you've
been talking about, because it is now delaying construction on
the facility. Hyundai CEO Jose Muno says the hold up
is expected to last at least two to three months
as the company struggle to replace those hundreds of workers
that just got sent home. The automaker, though, says it
(20:02):
is still committed to its investments in the US. Investors
today looking at global tension and also prospects for an
interest rate cut from the Federal Reserve this coming week.
That's after major games for stocks yesterday that propelled the
doll to a new record high at top forty six
thousand for the first time ever. And if you look
at futures right now, it does look like we could
(20:23):
see a little bit of a pullback today. Dow futures
down ninety three, s and P futures down eight, Nasdaq
futures down four. I'm Denise Pelgrittyloomberg Business on News Radio

Conservative media still morning. The mainstream media well a little different.

The New York Times went out of their way to

Speaker 29 (22:42):
Unfortunately, I've been shaded since forever on the New York Times,
and it doesn't surprise me.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
It's sad, it's disgusting.
Speaker 28 (22:50):
Actually, Political strategist Nick Linquist called out the left for
their rhetoric which led to Kirk's assassination.
Speaker 29 (22:55):
Saying, these people are Nazis.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
How can these people nazi it?

Five thirty at our time here in Houston, Spawner News.
I Social media has been, as I've been saying, you know,
since we came out this morning, social obedia has just
been completely out of control over the Charliekirk thing. It
is dominant the news cycle, as I would expect it would,
but it's also dominated social media in both a positive
and a very negative way. And it has highlighted just
(28:11):
how divided we are and where the divisions lay. And
for those of us who believe that the public school system,
even here in Texas, has a lot of progressive left
people in it, they are identifying themselves quickly. If they've
(28:34):
been quiet before, they are not being quite about Charlie Kirk,
and they're posting some pretty bad things online. But they're
showing us exactly who they are because they're attaching their
names and their faces to it. And now school systems
find themselves in a situation where they have to react
because parents are upset that they're teachers working in these
(28:54):
particular schools who feel the way they do. And that's
including right here in Houston. Here's the report from k
APRC to our television partner.
Speaker 37 (29:02):
Several of these posts include inappropriate or insensitive comments related
to the political activist death and positions he has taken
on various policy issues. This afternoon, at least three local
districts in our area Pasadena ISD, Goose Creeks c ISD,
and Dickinson ISD have all addressed social media posts made
by current or past teachers, and state representative Briscoe Caine
(29:23):
made a post on Facebook calling for the Goose Creek
teacher to be fired, saying that she's celebrating the news
of Charlie Kirk's death. The district telling us in a
statement this afternoon it firmly rejects all forms of hate
and violence and that any violations of district policy will
be addressed accordingly. We spoke with an employment law attorney
this afternoon who says the best decision right now may
(29:44):
just be to avoid doubt and don't post.
Speaker 20 (29:47):
For the vast majority of employees, if your employer doesn't
like what you post, they can discipline you up to
an including termination.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Courts apply a balancing test.
Speaker 20 (29:57):
They balance the employer's interests in things like maintaining reputational integrity, maintaining.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Order in the workforce, avoiding.
Speaker 20 (30:05):
Disruption against the employee as a citizen's right to speak freely.
Speaker 37 (30:11):
And if you think a disclaimer on your profile about
your views expressed on social media not being representative of
your employer is enough to protect you, that employment law
attorney says it's a gamble. It may not be enough
to post with caution.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Firstly, I prefer that we have people posting their true
feelings on this issue because it shows me where you are.
It shows me if I'm an employer and I see
it shows at least I know where you stand. At
least I know where you're coming from. At least you're
not you know, at least you're not bottling it up somewhere.
But you know, again, whatever you post online is a

Our time here in Houston's born News. Andy Con is
with us now Crime Stoppers. He's their Victims Services Director.
We've talked to Andy for years, and you've seen in
all the years you've been doing this, Andy Con, you
have seen how things have gone from not very good
to a whole lot worse. And we are in a
I feel in a very dark place in this country
(35:40):
right now as it relates to violence in general and
political violence, and maybe we can wrap both these things up.
In one week, we had to deal with the Charlie
Kirk assassination, and then before that, this young Ukrainian refugee
who was stabbed to death on public transit in front
of a crowd that did nothing to help her. These
(36:01):
are dark times. No, I'll tell you what, Jimmy.
Speaker 39 (36:04):
You know, twenty four years ago, after nine to eleven,
we came together as a nation. We had unity as Americans,
and that now seems like ancient history. It's like bottled
up a time capsule, buried so far beneath the ground,
one wonders if it will ever return. I mean, just
this year alone, you had a Minnesota legislator murder, a
Pennsylvania governor's house set on fire, multiple assassination attempts on
(36:29):
President Trump. I don't know what's going on with our country,
but we've become so polarized that appears we can't have
respectful discourse, debate issues without the vitriol that often leads
to violence. And I'm hoping, and what I've tried to
do is a victim advocate is take negatives, turn in
(36:51):
the positives. You can't go back and change what happened,
particularly the murder of Charlie Kirk, and you only can
God hope that he can be a catalyst for change.
And I'm sure Charlie Kirk would agree with that, and
we owe it to him to ensure that his legacy
will last for eternity. And perhaps we can finally come
(37:13):
together and realize that we can talk, disagree about issues
without leading the violence.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
Well, and that's I guess that's the difference. We used
to be able to do that. We used to be
able to have a civil discourse from two different ends
of a political spectrum and still at the end of
the day shake hands and wish the other person well.
And you didn't necessarily change my mind about you or
you about me. But but we got it out of
our system, and we did it in a very positive,
(37:40):
non violent way, and we seem to have lost that ability.
Do you have any theories as to why that ability
has been lost in many people?
Speaker 39 (37:48):
I actually think social media plays a significant role in that,
because it's difficult to tell, particularly with social media, or
what's fact or what's partisan A rhetoric whose sole purpose
is to inflame their base, whether it's the left or
the right, And I think that inflames people, and it
makes it easier for people to realize that, you know,
we can't just talk about these things, We're going to
(38:11):
have to go out and commit violence to that's that's
you know, it's horrible for me who's been doing this
for over thirty years working with crime victims, particularly the
case that you mentioned Ukrainian immigrant.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
That's about as.
Speaker 39 (38:25):
Bad as it gets in this country. But we've seen
so many similar situations like that. In Houston, we had
an eighty year.
Speaker 10 (38:33):
Old grandmother that was murdered by a.
Speaker 39 (38:35):
Guy who had over sixty prior arrests and was released
on two fellon EPR bonds and then stabbed an eighty
year old grandmother in the parking lot and he was
also had issues as well. This is the reality the
new America that.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
We live in.
Speaker 39 (38:52):
And I hope one day maybe we can regain our senses,
stop this endless vitriol, stop the violence at his play
our nation on a daily basis.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
And I think also except the fact that there are
people who are evil, and people who are evil have
to be locked away just to protect society exactly.
Speaker 39 (39:10):
I've said the quicker you grasped the concept there are
evil people in this world, the better off you're going
to be. There are people that do not be walking
out amongst us. There are people who's we have to
get locked up in prison. I remember, you know a
story that we did on one day on a case,
and a reporter came up to me and he said,
(39:31):
you know, there's a reason we have prisons, and this
particular offender is the reason why we've got to return
back to law and order in this country. We've got
to stop enabling criminal conduct. We've got to stop coddling
them and making excuses for criminal behavior.

Speaker 28 (43:27):
Jeff Atticott with the Wounded Warrior Project says drones are
a critical asset, especially for outdoor college venues.

You've got to use technology. Drone technology is not expensive,

lot different than it did in Michigan. I mean the
old rule of the leaves falling or or you know,
go into an apple cider mill. Folks don't around here,
don't know what an apple cider mill is, but in
(47:26):
certain parts of the Midwest, that's that's fall. So what's
your idea fall. You go to the iHeart radio up
k t r H, you hit the talkback button, you
get to thirty seconds. First thing where you're calling from?
And what do you consider fall?
Speaker 18 (47:37):
Morning?
Speaker 5 (47:38):
All, happy Friday?
Speaker 4 (47:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (47:41):
Fall?
Speaker 4 (47:42):
What is that?
Speaker 13 (47:43):
I'm curious. We don't have it here in Houston. We
either go from hot as hell to freezing under cold
and that lasts for like maybe a weekend and that's it.
But yeah, fall would be great. I think we'll probably
get that, maybe late December. I don't know something like that. Anyways,
If you'all have a great day, Mike. If I have
(48:04):
any traffic stuff, I'll let y'all know.
Speaker 41 (48:06):
All to me is when the rays of life across
the earth come in at a different angle, it needs
a more huge color of light. There's something in an
atmosphere that just feels different than the late afternoon. And
of course they of course holme on five tree in
your barefoot cause of pain Outcooch.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
Good morning. This is Jack from Connecticut.
Speaker 30 (48:31):
I'm a teddy bear, easy going, friendly, but if somebody
was to steal something from my wife or my son
that I have given him, I would turn into a
rapid dog in a heartbeat, have a good day.
Speaker 4 (48:42):
Not sure what that has to do with fall. Okay, six'.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
Ten time for traffic and weather together as we check
out the drive once. Again Skuy mike's here.
Speaker 4 (48:50):

having a hard time definding.
Speaker 21 (50:19):
IT i can, understand AND i, Sympathized but you know
WHAT i went and. Looked you, said it's when like
the temperature is around, sixty, right.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
Or maybe even better the first DAY i have to
wear a sweatshirt with my. Shorts that might be even more. Specific,
yeah and that.
Speaker 21 (50:37):
Would probably vary from person to, person, Right like my
kids wear sweatshirts all year round for.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
Some nothing good going, on for some strange.
Speaker 21 (50:47):
Reason, WELL i was looking At october And october our
average temperatures like eighty two in the day and sixty
at night on. Average So i'm gonna say That october
sounds a little bit maybe close.
Speaker 1 (51:03):
To but probably closer To. Halloween. Yeah, yeah when you've got,
it when it's cool and you've got pumpkins and trigger,
treats then it feels like. FALL i.
Speaker 21 (51:13):
Guess, well you, know some people say, pumpkins spice coffees
are fall for.
Speaker 1 (51:18):
Them so.
Speaker 42 (51:20):

Warm we may get a shower thunderstorm in the Afternoon
saturday And. Sunday there is a twenty percent chance of
some Rain saturday And. Sunday but aside from, that that is.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
Solutions just about six twenty start time here In Houston's Morning.
News the safety on college. Campuses certainly they're looking at
that In utah right, now And i'm sure they're rethinking
the whole process of having a guest, speaker whoever it may,
be outdoors in a situation where they're surrounded by taller
buildings where somebody might be able to take a pot
(52:26):
shot at. Them we certainly seem to learn that lesson
in the case Of President, trump but it didn't carry
over To Charlie. Kirk so how safe are our college?
Campuses what needs to be done to protect the safety
from something like this happening AT uh Or rice OR
U T austin or any other college or university here In.
(52:47):
Texas we'll talk To Jeff Etticott Wounded Warrior project about
that coming up. Next, first, though traffic and weather, together
we're checking out the drive. Again here's Sky MIKE i forty.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
The preset that sets the record. Street it just made
my whole day more. Efficient one use radio SEVEN jtrh
six twenty two hour time here In Houston's Sporting. News
keeping college campuses. Safe that could have very easily been
a mass, shooting but it's pretty clear it was a targeted.
(54:28):
Shooting it was an, assassination is what it. Was Charlie
kirk was the only. Victim there could have been many.
More but it raises the question of safety on college,
campuses and of course it strikes fear into the heart
of every mother listening to our. Program Jeff atica JOINS
Us Wounded Warrior. Project, Clearly Charlie kirk knew that there
(54:50):
could be a potential problem somewhere down the. Road he
was wearing a bulletproof. Vest didn't help him because of
where he was shot in this particular, case but he's
wearing a bulletproof. Vest so when you know there there's
a possibility for, violence what are the steps that we
should be taking in order to try to prevent the
violence from.
Speaker 38 (55:05):
Happening, yeah so every school has its own every, university
every school has its own security, protocols and every state
has their own. Protocols but there's certain comonalities if you're
going to have an outdoor. Event obviously those drones that
were used were taking you, know the, crowd but nobody
really seemed to think, about let's have the drones up
(55:26):
above the tall, buildings which is incredible to. ME i,
mean that's one one for an outdoor. Event, so, uh you,
know these people knew That charlie Kirk is particularly knew
that he was under death, threats and you're an outdoor
venue and you've got the crowd cover that's in front
(55:47):
of him that threw the. Shots but you know what
in the world these people, thinking particularly in Last, Butler,
pennsylvania where somebody did get up on a tall roof
and took a shot of the. President so it's to
me there's a lot of questions that are, unanswered AND
i think it's probably just a lack of imagination in
the wake of nine to. Eleven that's what the nine
eleven commissions, said just not thinking clearly about what you
(56:09):
really need to think. About in terms of. Security.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
Right i'd love to get your, Theories, jeff BECAUSE i
think the answer to the question of how do we
make our college campuses safe is that you. Can't you
you could take, precautions but you cannot guarantee safety one
percent of the. Time evil has a way of doing
what evil. Does you, know it's funny BECAUSE i had,
THIS i had this argument with A facebook posting yesterday
(56:35):
with somebody who wanted you talk to me about common
sense gun, control to WHICH i have, said, okay, well
first of, all what is common sense when it comes
to gun? Control and second of, all did you see
what happened In North carolina that didn't involve a. Gun
that was a. Knife and we've had bombings and we've
had people run over with. Cars evil finds a way.
Speaker 38 (56:54):
To do what it, Does, Yes and that gun has
saved a lot of. Lives they never report that in
the news or the thousands of times that people with
guns have stopped, people you, know engaging in. Violence but you're,
right it's just these same. People, well you, know we
can have peace now and ways to stop. War you
can't stop warris can't stop. Crime this is, reality and
(57:15):
that's common. Sense you've got to live in. Reality but
we can do a better. JOB i think of educating
the public see, something say. Something we've seen those videos
where you, know people are have their phones out and
they see somebody in black laying on the. Roof they
should have called nine one one. Immediately they. Didn't and
that's one of the best lines of defense is just.
People and that's what's going to catch this this, assassin
(57:37):
this murder or this terrorist is someone's going to you,
know is going to indicate where he's. At and it's
not going to be. LONG i predict today they will nab.
Him he's on, foot you, know last time we saw,
him he's got a limb from jumping off that. Building
somebody is aiding and betting, him, probably but he's going
to be caught and the full force of justice needs
(57:57):
to go against this.
Speaker 1 (57:58):
Individual you have any theories before we let you, Go Jeff,
atica do you have any theories about what is driving
all this political? Violence?
Speaker 38 (58:06):
Well, there you know what causes? Crime criminals and what
is a? Criminal someone is totally, arrogant they're disoriented to,
reality they're. Delusional you know the definition of truth is
you conform your mind to objective. Reality this assassin has
refused to conform his mind to objective. Reality i'm saying
(58:26):
he had transgender stuff written here and. There that's the objective.
Reality so that's part of the problem is people are,
delusional and then if they're arrogant and they have the criminal,
mentality they take that delusion and they In asian.
Speaker 1 (58:39):
Violence, okay with that all, together you've got. Trouble all, right,

is this, Guy Charlie kirk's? Killer who is it we're looking?
Speaker 34 (01:06:18):
For you?
Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
Know that's that's why we have profile that's working for THE.
Fbi they take a look at the evidence of what
this person has, done how this person is, dressed their,
actions and they put together a profile of what it
is we're looking. For who is this person we're looking,
for regardless of what their name, is who is this?
Person and they do it generally do a pretty good
(01:06:40):
job of. It here is a FORMER fbi. Profiler his
name Is James. Fitzgerald here he tells us what kind
of a person we are looking.
Speaker 42 (01:06:51):
FOR i believe this person suffers From kirk derangement. Syndrome
much Like trump derangement. System this person. Syndrome this person
probably went to bed at night and woke up in
the morning dreaming about, how somehow he would take Out
Charlie kirk at some point in.
Speaker 1 (01:07:07):
Time who even.
Speaker 42 (01:07:09):
Knows he may have been in one of these college
campuses in the last year or. Two he may have
been someone standing in line or standing in the crowd
and didn't like the response That charlie was giving it
so eloquently and so logically explaining his points of view
counterpoints to other people up. There so this person is
by no means a professional hit, man as some people
(01:07:30):
have said. EARLIER i don't see that at all with.
Him he's a young, man obviously practiced with a thirty odd.
Six it's a bold action. Rifle it has some recoil.
Issues he may have been GOING i have ballistic oriented.
Friends he may have been going for center mass and
then went hide left he may have been going for
headshot and it went down to the, neck not, carying
not taking in the two hundred yards distance with. Gravity
(01:07:52):
so this guy practiced at a range, Somewhere and that's
part of what THE fbi is doing right. Now they're
going around to every range within one hundred miles of
there and, say, hey who was practicing in the last
month or more with A mauser type rifle thirty odd
six and doing these types of.
Speaker 7 (01:08:08):
Things but he is not a professional hit.
Speaker 42 (01:08:09):
Man he's full of a venom Towards Charlie kirk and
the whole conservative. Movement and this was his way of
answering the responding To Charlie kirk that he could never
do in a real.
Speaker 1 (01:08:21):
Time there you, GO i think that's probably pretty. Accurate you,
know at, first especially with the, SHOT i think a
lot of us looked at that and said that that
had to be a professional hit. Job there's noways some college,
kid you, know Hit Charlie kirk where he hit. Him
but then you realize, that you, know with some of these,
(01:08:42):
rifles the technology of some of these rifles is so
good that if you have just to have basic practice with,
one then you get to be pretty good with. It,
so and the evidence would seem to support that this
person that they're looking for obviously is young and college.
Aged the question, is, corse as we've been trying to
(01:09:02):
figure out all, morning is you, know how how have
we gotten to this point in our? Society you, know
we saw it with a killer Of, Luigi Luigi mangione
who killed the The Wall street guy In New. York
same same kind of, THING i think it work, here
same sort of. Mentality they really do believe that they
are completely justified in doing what they're. Doing time for
(01:09:23):
traffic and weather, together not just, me, Though do you
kind of wonder not just the, shooter but who sent?
Speaker 4 (01:09:28):
Him if you know? Back, yeah of course he doesn't
feel like he's.
Speaker 1 (01:09:30):
Alone is there any funding, Involved is there any training?
Involved where did that come?
Speaker 18 (01:09:34):

Speaker 1 (01:09:34):
Yeah AND i get that Skuy Mane.

Speaker 45 (01:15:14):
Yeah the challenge of this is there's a lot of
raw emotions elected officials are also human beings as. Well
they were dealing with the exact same shock the rest
of the country was dealing, with except they were in
a combined rim with people that they knew they disagreed,
with and people that deeply Hated Charlie.
Speaker 1 (01:15:29):
Kirk and so there's a lot of back and forth
on this and just of the raw.
Speaker 45 (01:15:33):
Emotions my encouragement is for leaders act like leaders and
be able to be good role models for the, country
but to also be able to express genuinely the frustration
of what we've become as a. Country we've had two

there's a desperation from able to, say stop going down

Speaker 1 (01:30:39):
Ktrh speaking Of, china they've been doing a lot of
behind the scenes currency. Manipulation there's a little coup we hear.
Underway china is just a part of. It they're not
the only. One In india also supposedly is a part of.
This and what they want to do is they want
to take away The american dollar is sort of the
(01:31:01):
official currency of the, world and move into a different,
currency such As china's. Currency for, Example Liz pik joins
Us Fox news columnists frequent. GUEST i enjoy your appearances quite,
Frequently liz On Fox, Business glad to have you on
our program this.
Speaker 34 (01:31:15):
Morning thank, you delighted to join.
Speaker 1 (01:31:17):
You so what Is china up to?
Speaker 34 (01:31:19):
Now, WELL i Think china is trying to undermine The United.
States of, course that's their long term. Goal in the short,
term one of their ways they're trying to do that
is not just stealing our technology or trying to push
us out of important markets like the electric vehicle, market
but also to undermine the. Dollar and the way they're
(01:31:40):
going about that is that they are buying gold and
divesting dollars in their central.
Speaker 1 (01:31:50):
Bank and it's.
Speaker 38 (01:31:52):
WORKING i, mean.
Speaker 34 (01:31:52):
Goal prices are through the. Roof and by the, way
they're not the only country where the central bank is
making this kind of. Move there's a coalition of brick
nations which are very eager to dump the dollar as
the world's reserve. Currency But china is the leading light,
here if you, will and they are definitely on the.
(01:32:13):
Hunt and that's one of the reasons that the dollar
in the first six months of the year had the
biggest decline in value versus other global currencies that we've
seen in fifty. YEARS i, mean that's a pretty dramatic,
statistic but it's. True and at the same, time gold
prices are up over forty five percent they're over the
(01:32:34):
course of the past, year so it's really quite a dramatic.
Realignment the numbers in terms of the amount of their
central bank reserves that are going into gold versus dollars are,
minor are, small but it's small percentages of very big.
Speaker 17 (01:32:50):
Numbers so it's having quite an impact on the.
Speaker 18 (01:32:52):
Market and you, know a lot.
Speaker 34 (01:32:54):
Of investment these days is momentum. Trading people see that
gold is going, up assume that gold will continue to go,
up and so there's sort of a follow up effect
and it's been very very.
Speaker 1 (01:33:07):
Powerful so how do we fight back against?
Speaker 34 (01:33:09):
This, well, honestly the best way to fight back against
this is to get our fiscal house in order so
that there is absolutely no question that the dollar is the,
currency the reserve currency of the world's strongest. Economy we
are that we are much bigger Than, china we have
by far the biggest. Consumer and, frankly What President trump
(01:33:34):
is doing with, tariffs as controversial as they were in
the beginning the reality is he's bringing in hundreds of
billions of dollars of, revenues and even the most left
wing analysts now are kind of looking at that and, saying, well,
yes you, know this will offset some of the tax
breaks and the big beautiful. Bill this does improve our
fiscal long term. Outlook if the, court The Supreme, court
(01:33:58):
decides that these tariffs are, illegal then we're back to
first base and not to figure out a different way
to engineer a tariff. REGIMENT i think they, will but
right now that is serving our country very.
Speaker 1 (01:34:09):
Well, well even moorseless would be if somehow it was
ordered that we pay back the teriffs that have already
been already been given to. Us what would that do
to us, Fiscally.
Speaker 34 (01:34:20):
Well it's going to be kind of a, mess for.
Sure let's wait and, see Because i'm sure whatever decision
The Supreme court, makes we're not going to have immediately.
Implemented my guess is such an event would take place over,
time AND i think the administration is. Preparing according To
Treasury secretary At, vesson they are preparing backup measures and
(01:34:42):
alternative routes to continue to apply the. Tariff so let's
suppose for a moment that they have some other authority
under which they can levy these. Tariffs THEN i suspect
that that also could be done, retroactively in which case
there would be no. Payback i'm hoping that that's the.
Speaker 1 (01:34:58):

mangioni that's the guy In New york who did the
did the killing of the pharmaceutical, head just shot him
right there in cold, blood that it's more of that
(01:43:08):
type of person that we're dealing with here in. Society
let's get an opinion from a FORMER cia operations. Officer
her name Is Laura. Balman here's what she had to

man also moved around as.
Speaker 1 (01:43:45):
So he didn't have a care in the.
Speaker 44 (01:43:47):
World one thing we should also consider when thinking about
the investigation is we live in the era of big.
Data so just like you AND i use CHET gpt
to ask rand what the history of, something and three minutes,
(01:44:07):
later the algorithm spits out what it to our, minds
is a rapid response of bringing all this information. Together
they're also doing that on law. Enforcement so, yes there's
the old fashioned gum, shoe and, no you know every
(01:44:27):
investigation requires. That but think about if you take the
information we have about the, weapons the information that law
enforcement has about the palm, prints the converse, shoes THE t,
shirt the phone, pings and takes all that data and
puts it through artificial. Intelligence that's going to bear some interesting.
Speaker 1 (01:44:52):
Results and all those things may played a. ROLE i don't.
Know it could have just been the, tips or it
could it been just as simple as, That who are
where this family member? Was who just DECIDED i know
what he's. DONE i can't live with what he's. Done
i've got to turn him, in and just turned him.
In either, way it would appear he's been. Arrested he's in,
(01:45:13):
custody and he will face some pretty pretty horrific, charges
but that's exactly what he. Deserves he'll, face no, doubt
face the death, penalty and that's what he. Deserves seven

President trump And Charlie. Kirk but The democrats want to
play the blame. Game here's a little bit of that
in reaction to. It, People, oh, please, right.
Speaker 4 (01:51:48):
Why don't you start it with a person in The United?
Speaker 47 (01:51:49):
States, right we've seen The january sixth rioters who, clearly you,
know have tripped a new era of political.
Speaker 1 (01:52:02):
Violence we also.
Speaker 3 (01:52:03):
Need to be honest about it as a nation about
where this violence is coming.
Speaker 48 (01:52:07):
From if we want to stop the scourge of violence
in this, country we must do our jobs and past
common sense gun safety reforms in The United.
Speaker 1 (01:52:19):
States. Period, AGAIN i go back to THE b.
Speaker 49 (01:52:22):
Word Maybe i'm brainwashed By Scott, adams BUT i to,
me it's like this is. Brainwashing you, know all of
these people have like this mass delusion that a segment of,
society people like us are evil and you see them
and you're going, like oh my, god what is going
on in their? Heads and it was through again the
(01:52:44):
repetition of specific. Words the gun argument is really silly
BECAUSE i, mean did they Forget irena she was stabbed
on a? Subway are you calling for blade? Control it
doesn't mean it's like they FORGET i think there was
another woman that was just. Murdered it wasn't by a.
GUN i know That dowd Like dowd got, fired but
you have to remember THAT msnbc in places LIKE, cnn
(01:53:07):
they create a comfort zone for this kind of thinking
and they, exploit exploit those who are willing to go
the extra mile and say these. Things and a lot
of these people are not. Well you see them ON
msnbc and ON. Cna you, go there's something wrong with.
Speaker 1 (01:53:22):
Them you look at their eyes or just like, whoa you,
KNOW i don't even know WHAT i just did. There
But dad was fired because he got, noticed not because
of what he.
Speaker 19 (01:53:33):
SAID.
Speaker 49 (01:53:33):
Msnbc you know again you go back to, banks to
the social media. Platforms Probably dad would have gotten away with,
it BUT i, think you, know he needs help and
going ON msnbc shows you THAT msnbc doesn't care that
he needs.
Speaker 1 (01:53:47):
Help they're just using. Him AND i lastly, too just.
Speaker 49 (01:53:51):
To finish up on your, POINT i got to ask
where The Democratic party Is aside From, harold there's a
huge hole where this party used to. Be you were
outside the, party you could come, in swoop in and
fill that. Hole there needs to be some kind of
moral authority, there and it is. Missing, yeah that's what's
(01:54:11):
missing in all this is the moral. Authority morality in
general is. Missing you, know anytime you are capable of
dehumanizing another human being to the point where you think
it's perfectly justifiable to kill them because of their personal political,
beliefs then you know you have crossed the. Line and
evidently people Is i'm going to be hard to bring them.
(01:54:32):
Back it's not just by the way the, media it's
public schools as. Well all you have to do is
look at all the tweets that we've had from teachers
About Charlie kirk's killing to know that we have a
major problem there as.
Speaker 1 (01:54:42):
Well got to leave it at. That you all have
a great. Day we'll see A monday, morning bright and
early at five hope to see you this, afternoon four
ON am nine to FIFTY kprc
