at about five o'clock. A new study shows that ABC, CBS,
and NBC their evening news have given Trump ninety two
percent negative coverage so far. Political strategist Bill Miller says,
the mainstream media has always hated Trump.

I do think covering conflict is what the media does,
and they do a good job. The question is how
they do it ba early or not, And I think
probably there's a biased against Donald Trump for sure.

By the way, that ninety two percent is up from
the first one hundred days in Trump's first term, as
compared to Joe Biden, who got sixty percent positive coverage
at his one hundred demark five h three on KTRH.
The President signed more executive orders yesterday, including one exstructing
the DOJ to create a list of all sanctuary cities

not complying with federal immigration laws. There are sanctuary cities, though,
and then there are sanctuary states. For instance, California.

Ordering police departments and sheriffs not to hand over criminally
legal aliens two Ice. That law is still in place
and in effect as we speak.

W Chief of Staff Stephen Miller talking to ktrh's Sean Hennity.
As for foreign policy, Russias Vladimir Putin makes new demands
resisting Trump's efforts for peace, demanding the annexation of twenty
percent of Ukraine in any peace deal. Meantime, the White
House has Putin's proposed three day ceasefire is.

By the way, that's a ceasefire that Putin only announced
after Trump met with Vladimir Zelensky in Rome.

I think President Trump has created this the environment so
that these parties can come together, But ultimately it's going
to be up to Russia and Ukraine to agree to
any deal that can be had.

Matthew Whitaker is the US ambassador to NATO, talking to Fox.
It's now five h four. Canada's Liberal Party is projected
to win the election for the fourth straight cycle. That
party led by hardliner Mark Carney, who replaced Justin Trudeau.
The mainstream media claims Trump's tariffs will lead to empty
store shelves. Treasury Secretary Scott Besson disagrees.

We have some great retailers. I assume they pre ordered.
I think we'll see some elasticities, and I think we'll
see replacements, and then we will see how quickly the
Chinese want to de escalate.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Trump will reportedly announced a move tonight that would reduce
the impact of tariffs on American automakers. Trading over nightdown
futures are up one hundred and seven points after the
now gained one hundred and fourteen points yesterday. Oil down
eighty four cents to sixty one dollars and twenty one
cents a barrel this morning. Now Drill, Baby drill will

become a reality under this president, and a private equity
firm in Texas is now expanding its investments into the
American oil and gas industry.

This is a major move that simply would never have
happened without Trump.

Speaker 14 (05:23):
That private equity money dried up under the Biden administration.
There wasn't a lot of confidence to follow through on projects.

Speaker 13 (05:31):
Market analyst Phil Flynn says this is probably just the
beginning of a major boom in oil and gas investments.

These investors realized that three to five years from now,
there is going to be a lot of demand and
that needs to be met.

He says Trump's efforts to end the rush of Ukraine
War and deregulate the oil and gas industry are both

Driverless trunks are now on Texas highways, which means robots
are taking jobs from Todd Spencer is the president of
the Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association. He's concerned that we're
not getting the full picture about safety issue with these trucks.

So they're not so fully disclosing when it comes to
things that go wrong.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
He says, the whole reason for driverless trunks is to
eliminate competent drivers in their paychecks, the very reasons trucking
is as safe as it is. NAI continues to grow
and now AI generated photos and videos are becoming even
more realistic, making corporate America more suspicious of job applicants.

We've actually taking on an IT person to look at
our software make sure we've got enough protection. So the
very least I would just encourage companies to contract or
hiring on an IT person who has extensive background in
AI technology.

not that I saw a lot of it. I saw Barcelona.
It was a beautiful city and everybody had power that day,

so it was fine. But a lot of people didn't
have power yesterday, not just in Barcelona, but all across
Spain and Portugal in unprecedented blackout brought much of Spain
and Portugal to a standstill against a stopping trains, cutting
phone server, shutting down traffic, lights and ATMs for millions
of people across the Iberian Peninsula fifty million people live there.

Not known exactly how many people were affected because the
governments doesn't have much to say about it for some reason.
The reason behind the blackout remains unknown, but several officials
have ruled out sabotage. At this point, there are no
indications of any cyber attack. Spanish power distributor read Electricia

(08:25):
declined to speculate on the cause of the power outage
that began around twelve thirty pm Madrid time, and said
restoring power fully would take up to ten hours. You
know what happened, Basically, the system crashed. The system crashed.
There was too much demand sound fail here. More demand

(08:48):
than supply can crash the system, leading to blackouts and brownouts.
We've had that here in the past, and if we're
not careful, we will have that again. State officials are
concerned about security, civil protection, hospitals, fuel supply companies, all
those types of things. There was a strong oscillation, whatever

(09:13):
that means in the European grid supposedly behind the outerags
cost still being determined. Other than the fact again, there
seems to be a situation in Spain and Portugal across
much of Europe which has been very green as relates
to energy, to have demand but not have enough supply
to meet the demand when the demand is high. Evidently

(09:35):
it was a rather warm day in Spain and Portugal yesterday.
Maybe that had a little something to do with it.
See here's why I mentioned this. You know, what's going
on in Europe, that's their own problem of their own making.
What's going on in here in Texas is also a
problem of our own making, and it's a similar situation
in that we are not doing enough to solve the problem.

We're okay right now, but you've heard the projections. In
the next ten years, we're going to need fifty percent
more power here in Texas in order to be able
to keep the grid going the way we know the
grid needs to go. Because we continue to grow and
we continue to invite industry here that sucks up a
whole bunch of energy, and yet we have done nothing.

We have done nothing since our major power outages in
order to increase reliable energy supply nothing. Five ten, time

Senate Bill seventeen and it is now headed to the
House floor for a vote.

This law SB seventeen undermines the American dream. It undermines
the very moral fabric of what we should stand for
as Americans. Harris County is one of the largest economic hubs,
not only in Texas but in the United States. So
to have a law it would take our neighbor's rights away.

Attorney General could essentially unilaterally take the property is unconstitutional
because it undermines due process.

If signed into law, Senate Bill seventeen would restrict people

Moreover, is threatened to protections granted by both US Constitution

and keeping Texas secure. It strengthens our ability to protect

national security, but dividing our nation.

on KTRH. And our top story is another violent night
across Houston. Well, he had a deadly home invasion apparently
on the southeast side last night. According to HPD, the
homeowner was killed in what they called a gunfight with
bad guys. There was also a shooting on the northeast

(21:18):
side that leaves one man in the hospital. It started
as a fight between new neighbors. And this comes after
three people were killed and ten others were injured in
at least six shootings across the area on Sunday night.
And there's this according to a televised report, Harris County
DA Seawan Tier his office files noticed that three hundred
criminal cases over the last five years were filed as

more serious Class A misdemeanors when they should have been
filed as Class B misdemeanors. No comment yet from the
former DA Kim Ogg five point thirty two on KTRH.
President Donald Trump's Big Beautiful Bill is now in focus
because Congress as returned from Easter break into reports the
House and Senate Republicans are trillions apart on a bill.

One thing they do agree on, though, is extending the
Trump tax cuts.

We know that all of Trump's tax cuts that are
expiring at the end of this year would create a
twenty two percent tax increase on all Americans on average,
and we got to make sure it doesn't happen.

House Waves and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith on Fox
We've hit the one hundred day mark in the second
Trump administration. The President rallies in Michigan tonight. We'll have
more on that at six o'clock. Five point thirty three.
We now know more about the Milwaukee, Wisconsin judge who
was arrested last week for hiding a previously deported illegal

alien in her jewelry room. Apparently there's a notice on
the door of judge Hannah Dugan's courtroom, encouraging anyone who
felt unsafe to request an appearance via zoom. The fallout
from this arrest, well, another judge is threat not to
come to work until Dugan is out of jail.

This other judge in Wisconsin who says she's going to
refuse to go to work, then she's violating the state's
Fair Labor Standards Act, which says you can't be a
government employee and also refuse to work.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
Former Judge Cully Stimpson says this is just more examples
of the left doubling down on their temper tantrums, speaking
of which, we got one more from Chuck Schumer yesterday.

We will expose his broken promises, We'll expose his lies,
We'll expose the ways he is threatening democracy.

Speaker 5 (23:32):
Yeah, that was a day after that weird sit in
on the steps of the Capitol hosted by HAKEM. Jeffries
and New Jersey Senator Corey Booker. Now, Schuber claims Trump
doesn't respect the law, but Joe Biden disobeyed the US
Supreme Court multiple times, specifically over student loans. Schuber says
that extraordinary action will be necessary if Trump doesn't follow

the Court's rulings. Republican strategist Matt Locke says the Thames, well,
they don't care.

And that's the thing I always tell everybody about the
Democrat Party when the unconstitutionality of student loans of illegals.

The goal is to get you dependent upon the government,
and of course to stop the Trump agenda.

Meantime, another House Democrat, Michigan's Shri Thanadar, introduced articles of
impeachment against Trump. Now you'll remember that earlier this month,
Houston Congressman Al Green said he would introduce impeachment.

It's now five point thirty five on KTRH and looking
at your money overnight training down, futures up one hundred
and seventy nine points. The mainstream media's reports, though, of
economic doom and gloom because of Trump's tariffs, is greatly exaggerated.

For weeks, the legacy media has been warning about a
recession due to President Trump's tariff policies. But Chevron CEO
Mike Worth tills CNBC those fears are unfounded.

There's no signs that we see at this point that
we're in or close to a recession there are signs
than growth.

it's more stable right now for nervous investors.
