Well, I don't speak France, but maybe I need to
go to France to learn that stuff.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Yeah, I'll teach you a couple of phrases. This is
this is all I remember from high school friends jamala
la tet, jamala lestomac, jamala la gorge, which means I
have a headache, I have a stomach ache, and I
have a sore throat because I had to make excuses
of why I didn't study last night.

This whole episode is telling and how Judge Hildago operates.
It was like three weeks ago she put on the
agenda to discuss the policy that governs our five courtman
in international travel.

So she wanted to change.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
First the policy that's that we wouldn't bring international travel
to the Court as long as our offices were paying
for it. And of course we asked the question well,
why are you doing this and and and why do
you want to change it? And that wasn't coming forth.
And then finally she says, well, I do have some

international travel.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
My simple question was where.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Are you going, who's going with you? Why are you going?
And how much it costs? And she said, well, we'll
have to go in executive session.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I said, this isn't.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Important that I know, it's important that everybody knows where
are you going and.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
How much it costs? Will she would not disclose that,
will you find out sold this? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Go ahead, this court, this court coming up in Thursday.
She put on the agenda to go to Paris twenty
three thousand for four people. I don't know why four
people need to go. It's I think it's with the
Greater Houston Partnership. You know, if the Greater Houston Partnerships
won't jug said, I'll go to go to Paris, stay.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Out of pay for it. I agree, that's not anything
we need to be a part of.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Well, just here's the thing. She evidently claims that she
wants to go so she can talk to them about
how innovative Harris kind of is and in how we're
a leader in AI how much do you think she
knows about innovation and artificial intelligence?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Very little, based on what I've heard things said in
the court. I mean she there's no it's a what
we would call this in these Texes. This is a junket.
This is a trip paid for by the tax players.
We can't afford this. We know we can't afford it.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
We had that discussion u two weeks ago as.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Well, when the sheriff Steptuies came to court and said
they would like a pay raise, and we, of course,
she said, we can't afford it. And only way we're
going to be able to do it is to increase taxes.
And that's all she knows. I've told her, why don't
you follow Mayor whitt Meyer's model.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
He went through it for a year.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
He's done nothing but cut discretionary spending, and he figured
out how to give his people a pay raise. She
only knows one one thing, less race taxes and less
spend it on things that really don't matter.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Now you've obviously said no to all this, What about
your fellow commissioners? Is there anybody there who would like
to send Lena to Paris?

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I'd be very surprised. I think it was set in court.
One of the court members said, well, you know, I
went on a trade mission with the Greater Houston Partnership
and they paid for it. Well, maybe the Greater Houston
Partnership's not paying for it because they know what it's
worth and if.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
It may be a taglo deal. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
It's just that we don't need to be paying for
There's not value with that. There's a reason why years
ago you have to come to Commissioner's Court. If you're
going to travel outside this country and you're going to
get somebody to pay for it's interesting. She said, Well,
it really doesn't matter. I'll just get my campaign to
pay for it. You know, the only reason she has

money in her campaign account, Jimmy, yeah, is is she
got reiversed for legal expenses, and that's why she has
some money in her campaign account. Where we go again,
I don't understand that either.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
I don't either. Well, listen, let me ask you. Dan
dar interviewed with each other today Commissioner. Let me ask
you the same question I asked our listeners all morning long,
which is where would you be willing to send Lena
Hilldogle on a trip.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Well, well, if you've never been to Paris, Texas, I
think it would be a wonderful trip. They have a
town square, it's way government all of the run. So
you know, I would pay for a trip to Paris,
Texas because you could probably.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Learn a whole lot there.
