markets this morning, down futures are down two hundred and

latest economic numbers, though, are not as bad. That is
the mainstream media wants you to believe.

US gross domestic product shrank by three tenths of a
percent in the first quarter, leading to new worries about
a full blown recession. But Fox Business host and former
White House advisor Larry Cudlow says the numbers were skewed
by extra imports brought in the head of the new tariffs.

Core GDP and Q one, which takes out the flukey
trade import numbers. So the heart of GDP private sector
consumption plus private sector business investment. You see an actual
increase in the first quarter of three percent.

Beyond that he predicts once the new Trump tax cuts
are passed, they will far off set any tariffs. Coryolson,

if you be honest, now, have you ever stolen something
at the grocery store? And by stealing it, I don't
mean you you attempted to shoplift. I mean that you
went through self checkout and maybe you had I don't know,

box of kittie litter underneath the cart that you forgot
to scan or something like that, and you you you
got out to the car and you realized, shoot, I
forgot to scan the kittie litter. Ah, I'm not going
back in no way, I'm going back in there, So
technically you just stole the kitty litter. Theft is a

big problem. Thievery is a big problem for just about
any retailer. I mean, we're not talking about like what
happened to Lulu Lemon. You know, over the course last
few weeks here in Houston, you know, we're tens of
thousands of dollars in merchandise lifted by flash mobs. I'm
talking about self checkout. The whole world has become kind
of self checkout, and we keep seeing all these stories

about how much retailers are losing due to people's stealing
stuff through self checkout, and it just kind of makes
me wonder, Okay, there must be there must be a
fine line between how much money they lose from people
stealing things is self checkout versus having to pay cash
years in order to be able to man the checkout lines,

(08:51):
which is the way you stop the stealing, right, So
which costs most retail drive Target limiting self checkout now
to ten items or less, but they're denying that the
claim is to remove theft. Like other retail stores, the
Minneapolis store has been hit with huge losses due to shoplifting,

but says the checkout change is all about helping customers
get it. They always they always say that, oh, it's
just it's just to speed up the lines. It's to
make the experience better for our customers. The reason why
we check the receipts when you're walking out the doors.
We want to make sure you didn't lose out in
any deals that we got going on. But we're not
checking to see if everything on the receipt is what's
