Speaker 5 (01:42):
Good morning. Everyone is now five o two on news
Radio seven forty k t RH and our top story
this hour.

Speaker 6 (01:49):
I have to.

Speaker 7 (01:50):
Begin by saying two hundred and fifty million Americans are
not garbage.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
Donald Trump at his rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin last night,
he's using Joe Biden's garbage comments against Biden and Harris
showing up on stage. By the way, in a sanitation
worker's vest I.

Speaker 6 (02:13):
May never wear a blue jacket again.

Speaker 7 (02:15):
I may go, I may go in this I said
that that was my that was the word.

Speaker 6 (02:22):
That was the key, sir, you looked at her.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
He also drove to the arena in a Maga garbage truck.
We've got the photos in the video on our X
page at k t H News will play more of
Donald Trump. Jimmy will be doing that coming up. White
House flat out lying about what Joe Biden said this
week about half of America.

Speaker 8 (02:42):
Just to clarify, he was not calling Trump supporters garbage.

Speaker 9 (02:46):
Only garbage.

Speaker 6 (02:47):
I see float not there as your supporters.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
Spokesperson Karine Jean Pierre's attempts to retry rewrite followed by
Joan Joe's own words, trying to rewalk. The White House
is on water, by the way, because they went even
further editing the official transcript of what Biden said, that
garbage insult House GOP leaders, including Oversight Committee chair James Comer, says,

(03:12):
that's the violation of federal law. How many times have
they done it? Though we know this it is now
five o three. There was a less joyful atmosphere, a
Kamala Harris's Pennsylvania event last night.

Speaker 8 (03:24):
Everyone has the right to be heard, but right now
I am speaking.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
She was telling the anti Israel protesters is shut up.
She was also heckled during an appearance in Raleigh, North
Carolina yesterday. Here at home. Two days left in our
early voting period, and Texas Republicans have turned out in
much larger numbers than Democrats than probably they could have imagined.
The gap about a million voters now based on voting history.

Speaker 10 (03:51):
If that number sounds large, and it is large, that
is much more than we've seen in previous elections.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Political strategist doctor Ross Hunter on Austin TV it's now
five h four, assign of what's to come. Trump beat
Kamala in the mock student election across one hundred and
thirty eight schools in Maine. That election has correctly predicted
the winner of every presidential election since two thousand and eight.
Not election day yet, but the Democrats are already preparing

(04:20):
their army of lawyers to contest the results.

Speaker 11 (04:24):
This could be a sign that the Democrats are nervous
about their chances.

Speaker 12 (04:27):
The Democratic Party can clearly see their riding on the wall.
Whe they're not able to achieve it at the ballot box,
They're going to try to achieve do litigations, and that's
why they're getting their lawyers ready to go.

Speaker 11 (04:36):
Conservative attorney Jared Woodfield says that you can expect more
than just lawsuits if the Democrats lose.

Speaker 12 (04:41):
We know the Democrats will use rhetoric, language, lawsuits, whatever
it takes to try to get the result they want,
regardless of whether that's the will of the people.

Speaker 11 (04:49):
Woodville says that with all these lawsuits in play, it
could take weeks to get the finalized and official election results.
Ethan Buchanan News Radio seven forty KGRH.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
Now, the former assistant US attorney and McCarthy, says preventing
non citizens from voting in our elections is just common
sense and thank goodness, the US Supreme Court ruled on
the site side of Virginia, allowing that state to purge
some sixteen hundred non citizens that they knew of from
the Virginia voting rules.

Speaker 13 (05:20):
This idea that this could prevent or mistakenly result in
American citizens from Virginia not being able to vote is bogus.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
Yeah, he says Congress should get involved in order to
stop the FEDS from trying to twist things this way.
We'll have live coverage all election night long, starting next
Tuesday night. That's when it is seven pm KTRH, KTRH
dot com and the iHeartRadio app. It's now five oh five.
Houston based Marathon Oil in forming the Texas Workforce Commission

(05:51):
that its merger with Conico Phillips will result in more
than five hundred layoffs. The company didn't say which job
or areas would be cut. Big business, that's one thing,
But the result of the Biden Harris economy is brought
high uncertainty for small businesses the backbone of America and

(06:12):
here out.

Speaker 14 (06:12):
For the thirty third consecutive month, the optimism index is
below the fifty year average.

Speaker 15 (06:19):
I think there's a lot of election anxiety. I mean
there's an uncomfortable holding pattern. You've got two candidates that
have very different views.

Speaker 14 (06:26):
That is Jeff Berdett, Texas State director at the n FIB.

Speaker 15 (06:30):
Inflation and worker shortages are still business's top struggles. And
regardless of what you hear about inflation from our national media,
the input costs on business owner side have not decreased.

Speaker 14 (06:40):
He says, hopefully that will all change after the election.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Jeff Biggs News Radio hundred and forty k t.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
H Houston right now number one in the nation for
single family home building permis. This is since the pandemic.
But Laith Dike of Texas Loan Star says, what we're
seeing as a shift to small lots and town homes.

Speaker 16 (07:03):
They are building a higher density product with generally targeting
a price point to try to reach as many people
as they can. Pupsodies that are helping people get into
these thumbs to try to make it more affordable and
definitely helpful, especially when you have a rising interest rate
market trying to make things more affordable for the consumer, and.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
He expects the trend to continue depended on the state
of the economy. It is now five oh seven a
month left and what the climate fearmongers had told us
was going to be an explosive Atlantic hurricane season.

Speaker 17 (07:33):
We were supposed to get twenty to twenty five storms, but.

Speaker 18 (07:36):
We've had fifteen named storms. Of that, ten have become hurricanes,
and five of those hurricanes that hit the US Gulf Coast.

Speaker 17 (07:44):
Jeff Linder with the Harris County Flood Control District says
the numbers didn't live up to the hype, but the
storm sure did.

Speaker 18 (07:50):
It only takes one storm to make it an impactful
season for your particular area if that's where it hits.

Speaker 17 (07:58):
As we saw with Beryl here and with Hollis and
Milton in Florida and the Carolinas. Cliff Saunders News Radio
seven forty k TRH.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
Rockets in Dallas tonight pregame six thirty on Sports Talk
seven ninety. I'm sure Fryar on News Radio seven forty KRH.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
More with Jimmy Arrett and Sheriff Fryar. This is Houston's
Morning News.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
By believe it is our sign here in the Houston's
Morning News jump. Every year we have a big election
like this, we talk about the polls, and the polls
always seem to be wrong. After the election turns out
the polls weren't right generally, they weren't right about how
many people were voting for Trump, and so the question
always becomes, all right, why is it? Why are we

(08:42):
having such a hard time figuring out who really has
our support? And this may go a long ways towards
explaining it. Half of gen Z voters say that they've
lied about who they're voting for. Fifty percent of an
entire generation and says they lie about who they're voting for.

(09:02):
They lie to family, They lied to friends, They lie
to anybody who wants to ask them. Now, I can
understand why you might lie to a family or friend,
especially if your political viewpoint is different than that friend
or family.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Right, you might.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
You might just try to pacify them. Now, who did
you go and vote for? You vote, you've voted for.
You voted for Kamala Harris. Right, yeah, Ma, yeah, mom,
that's what I did. Fingers crossed. But half that's that's astounding.
They also found that forty eight percent of voters between
the ages of eighteen and twenty seven have lied about

(09:38):
their voting habits. Comparatively, nearly one in four voters overall
routinely lie about who they're voting for. One out of
every four voters lies about who they're voting for. Millennial
voters were the second most likely age group to lie
thirty eight percent. Only six percent of baby boomers and
older lie about their vote. So if you want to

(09:59):
know the truth, you to talk to a baby boomer.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
Yeah, but they don't answer their phones.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
That's true. So if you're a polster and you know
one out of every four people overall is not telling
you the truth about who there is they're voting for,
then how can you possibly have poles that are acting?

Speaker 5 (10:19):
Well, you see what happens to people who say they
support Donald Trump. They get thrown in jail, the FBI
pays them a visit.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Or at the very least, they don't want to They
don't want to be hassled by family or friends who
out agree, or.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
They don't want to be hassled by potential job bosses.
They don't want to be They don't want to have
their lives ruined. They don't want to.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
See their grades to fall in school as the word
gets out.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
Oh I mean they're smart.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Yeah, I give them credit. Yeah, well you might be
right about that.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
But like I said, it's pretty obvious why we can't
get an accurate poll.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
About all this. You can't disgusted you, You cain't get
the truth the posters.

Speaker 5 (10:55):
You don't trust the pollsters either.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Don't trust anybody. Five eleven time for traffic and whether
together saw it?

Speaker 1 (11:00):
If I wear red, white and blue.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Sometimes I tell you it's no doubt who everybody here's
voting for. I mean to kind of wear that on
our sleeves around here.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
You know, when I go to the polls, I'm gonna
just I want.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
To see if they'll let me carry a bag of
groceries just as a symbol.

Speaker 16 (11:12):
There.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Let's go to two ninety week cleared.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
I called that a reco is actually police activity outbound
Jones for a big nothing burger with some price terry.
What is this stuff on the roads I'm seeing? We
had some of it around the ghetto house this morning,
around Bush Airport and Heartytail Road looked dry enough, and
all of a sudden, I got on the squeeze this
morning six to ten northwestbound, and you know you have

(11:34):
the wicked curve to start with, and now you've got
some moisture on the roads too, So I got to turn.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Everybody sneeze snooze off.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
I haven't flipped on the radar yet, but I'm sure
it's scattered all over the place. I'll, you know what
I'll do. I'll I'll default more of this time to
you so you can talk about it. I'm in the

the center Terry is here Fordy to give you the
forecast for Halloween. Looks like maybe we get a little
bit of a dry wind over the trigger traders.

Speaker 8 (12:02):
It does look like we may get a break, which
will be nice of mother nature to allow us to
get outside later on this afternoon and early evening without
worrying about an umbrella. We had some good rain yesterday
across parts of southeast Texas. I am seeing some showers
right now. The bulk of the rain is off toward

(12:22):
the west west of Katie at the moment, so it's
just these scattered showers. Like sky Mike mentioned now, it
is an eighty percent chance of getting wet at some
point over the course of the day.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
We have a little bit of rain this morning.

Speaker 8 (12:36):
I think the bulk of the wet weather will be
during the afternoon hours, tapering off by late afternoon. Temperatures
today low to mid eighties. Only a thirty percent chance
and more showers, maybe some thunder tonight, and then we're
in and out of the rain tomorrow through the weekend
forty percent chance and more showers and storms tomorrow sixty

(12:57):
percent chance of getting wet. Saturday, forty percent chance more
rates Sunday. This is exactly what we need to help
ease these extremely dry conditions we have across the state.

Speaker 3 (13:07):

The numbers say differently, but the Biden here his White

in good shape. Donald Trump reportedly asked Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin nettan Yahoo to end the war in Gaza by
inauguration day should Trump win. One quarter of Americans say

differing political views. Maybe that person's just a snake. Get

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Oh in President Trump, he likes trash too, He loves
garbage trucks. He looked good in a Yourba's truck. He
look good speaking in a worker's vest, a garbage workers vest,
you know, the reflective vest they wear. Who cleaned up
that garbage truck for him? By the way, that's the
clintest garbage truck I've ever seen in my life, the
one he was riding in. But the Trump he knew,
he said, rent spanking new.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
How they got their hands on it that fast with
a big Trump to cow on the side.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
He's wrap. They need to drive that to Washington, d C.
And fill it up.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
There's a lot of trash in Washington, DC that could
pick up.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
He described the guy.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
I don't know if that's in what you're gonna play,
but he described the guy driving it, uh huh as
he look like a young Kerry Grant.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
I think that's in this clip. I've got a nice
long clip for you here. It's it's very entertaining to listen.
It is worth every second of it. Here's Trump in
Green Bay talking about garbage, and one of.

Speaker 7 (16:55):
My people came in and says, sir, you know, the
word garbage is a hot thing right now out there,
the hoddest thing out there, sir, would you like to
drive a garbage truck?

Speaker 6 (17:19):
Now we're about you know, thirty minutes from landing. We
had to do this pretty quick.

Speaker 7 (17:23):
I said, it's sort of cool, though, isn't it, because
you know and I said, you know, I think that's.

Speaker 6 (17:27):
Okay, but you know, I don't feel comfortable.

Speaker 7 (17:29):
Wearing a suit. And they pulled up this garbage truck.
I don't know how the hell they did it so fast.
I have very capable people. They put a big sign
on the truct did you see it?

Speaker 6 (17:40):
I think they show it. And then they said, sir,
we have a vest.

Speaker 7 (17:52):
I said, well, should I leave my suit on and
put it over the vest? But that doesn't look very good, right,
that does? So I said, look, let me take it off.
And then I actually said I climbed into the truck.
But he so, I said, how the hell do you
get into this truck?

Speaker 6 (18:07):
It's way up high, it's a big way. This was
a beauty. I said, you didn't have.

Speaker 7 (18:12):
To buy it that big, right, you have to get
it that big. They brought this brand new gorgeous truck.
Wonderful driver. He looked like Carrie granted his prime.

Speaker 6 (18:20):
You know that, this beautiful driver.

Speaker 7 (18:24):
And he drove that big thing up and I said, man,
this is bad, because now I have all the cameras
that all.

Speaker 6 (18:30):
What look look at all the fake news. They were
most of them.

Speaker 7 (18:40):
Now most of them, many of them were there. And
I'm saying, oh boy, you know, one little mistake with
these guys and your political career is over. You can't
even So I said, man, if I don't get up.

Speaker 6 (18:53):
There, this is going to be very embarrassing these stupid people.

Speaker 7 (18:58):
They'll say he's cognitive activity and physically impaired. And I
can't do that when I'm alongside of this great athlete.

Speaker 6 (19:08):
I got to get up to that.

Speaker 7 (19:10):
So so look, so the stairs, the first stair is
like up here, I'm say ship.

Speaker 19 (19:18):
So so I had the adrenaline going and I made it.
I made it, and then I gave a little news
conference from the front of the you know.

Speaker 7 (19:37):
They asked their wise guy questions and I was there,
and then we drove about two feet. I got out
of the play and then I got in the car
and I'm driving over here and I have this still
long and I come into the arena and I say,
where's my jacket? I want to get out of this stage.

(19:59):
And they said it would be unbelievable if you could
wear it on stage.

Speaker 6 (20:03):
I said it, and I said, no way.

Speaker 7 (20:20):
I got twenty five thousand people standing outside.

Speaker 6 (20:23):
I got all these people here. There's no way I'm
wearing it on stage.

Speaker 7 (20:27):
They said, oh okay, sir, I said, get me my jacket.
But if you did, you know it actually makes you
look thinner, I said.

Speaker 6 (20:38):
And they got me. I said, I want to wear
it on stage. When they said I looked thinner, how can.

Speaker 5 (20:48):
You not laugh?

Speaker 3 (20:49):
It is the funniest thing ever. It's like I said,
it's a clinic. It's a clinic in how to take
bad publicity and just completely flip it in your favor.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
There's something really iconic too. Now it's not just him.
Remember the French yellow jacket Santa the protesting the price
of fuel and how they blockaded streets, the yellow jacket,
the chief they were called the yellow jackets. It was
the same thing. Yeah, I mean it was so reminiscent
and you don't even you've forgotten about it. Yeah, but

(21:19):
it was like it echoing through. So it's like it
becomes an international thing. Now it's not just here in America.
Oh yeah, it's all around the world.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
I would be shocked, image, I would be shocked if
before at the end of the day, you can't go
on the Trump campaign website and buy yourself a reflective
vest that says garbage for Trump.

Speaker 5 (21:38):
Just imagine how should he be reelected, how the next
G seven summit will go, and how those people are
who sneered at him before They can't their own people
are in supportive something.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
Well, let's hope that's five twenty eight. Let's get to

the I temperature right about eighty two. Looks like we
get a window for the tricker treators this evening, though
we'll talk to Terry about that in about eight minutes.
Right now, the temperature is seventy seven at your official

is time now for the news. Here's Sheriff Fryer.

Speaker 5 (23:46):
Turn your mic on, Jerah, Good morning everyone. It is

government expected. JP Morgan CEO Jmie Diamond blames the Biden
Harris regime and all of its regulations.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
It's time to fight back. I've had it with it,
like you know.

Speaker 5 (24:21):
And Diamond was speaking at the American Bankers Association this week.
Of course, mainstream media and the White House claiming the
economy is rolling. That's the gas lighting of the last
four years.

Speaker 22 (24:38):
On speed loop, take it from the people who actually
go to the grocery store and look at their bills.
When it comes to the actual state of the economy.

Speaker 9 (24:46):
There are a lot of doctor statistics being put forward
in an effort to cover up the terrible economic environment
that we all find ourselves in.

Speaker 22 (24:55):
James quinteo policy analysts from the Texas Public Policy Foundation,
says the government and the mainstream media work hand in
hand to skew the real story on Bidenomics.

Speaker 9 (25:05):
The old thing goes there are lies, damn lies, and
government statistics.

it was just ten years ago.

Speaker 23 (25:17):
Inflation is catching up with a lot of folks who
are maybe living paycheck to paycheck before we've had this inflation,
and maybe their paychecks didn't go up as high as
everything else that they're purchasing.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
Financial planner build di Indy there, he says, in shrinkflation. Well,
that's another issue. We're all paying more and getting less.
It's now five thirty four. City of Houston planning to
establish a city sponsored homeless encampment to get the homeless
off the streets.

Speaker 24 (25:44):
Houston does have an ordinance that you can sleep on
the streets after eleven, We're going to dress that of
city council and say you can no longer just have
a bedrow and sleep on the streets of Houston.

Speaker 5 (25:56):
Mayor John Whitmyer with our TV partner Channel Too Is
City Council. Yesterday, Whitmark called the problem not acceptable. So
many people just on the streets. More violence in our
streets too, to people injured in separate shootings last night,
including a man shot in the leg in a drive
by outside the White Oak Music Hall. It is now
five point thirty four. More than seven million had voted

(26:18):
so early so far across Texas. Two days left in
this state's early voting period, and the polls will reopen
again this morning seven am. Donald Trump, as you've heard,
entered Green Bay, Wisconsin and trolled the Democrats and Joe
Biden for calling Trump's supporters garbage.

Speaker 6 (26:36):
How do you like my garbage truck?

Speaker 7 (26:38):
This truck is an hotter of Kamala and Joe Biden.

Speaker 5 (26:42):
Trump speaking to reporters from the worker's side of that
Maga garbage truck that he hauled himself into. Trump appearing

and fired, I.

Speaker 25 (26:57):
Can assure you we're not garbage.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
How dare he say that.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
Trump rallies in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Henderson, Nevada. Today.
Kamala Harris had Bill Clinton's stumping for her in Michigan yesterday,
and he put his foot in his mouth big time.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
I don't think it's right to say.

Speaker 26 (27:18):
That people have to vote for Donald Trump cast the economys.

Speaker 5 (27:25):
This was Clinton's second gap on the campaign trail. Weeks ago,
he said that Lincoln Riley's murder could have been prevented,
the one by the illegal alien. Remember if the Biden
Harris administration had properly vetted the murderer or the illegal
alien who is charged with killing her. US Supreme Court
allows Virginia to move forward with a removal of sixteen

(27:47):
hundred non citizens from the state's voter rolls.

Speaker 27 (27:53):
I'm just so proud of the team's fortitude to stay
with what.

Speaker 28 (27:57):
We know is right.

Speaker 5 (27:59):
That's the Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin. He was on Fox.
The US Justice Department, the Biden Harris Justice Department had
argued that Virginia's removal of non citizens was being done
too close to election day. Remember, we have live election
night coverage Tuesday nights starting at seven pm on KTRH
KTRH dot com in the iHeartRadio app. As for what

(28:21):
happens after the election, specifically the law here against Donald Trump, well,
if he wins election, his legal surrogate, David Gelman tells
KTRH that federal cases in Washington and Florida will be
dropped immediately.

Speaker 29 (28:36):
President Trump has even said on day one he's going
to fire Jack Smith, the special council on the two
federal cases. If that happens, game over. These cases are
going to go away, which they should have never been brought.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
For the two state cases, Gelman expects that Georgia Cash
will be dismissed and in New York, Trump will well,
he still has to be sentenced before he can make
an appeal there, but he can't be sentence when he's president.
And at this point, the activist New York judge Wanmershan
has set the sentencing date as November twenty six, so

(29:10):
we will see if he follows through on that, depending
on the election. It is five point thirty seven now
a rash of recalls has raised the alarm what is
happening to our food supply chain?

Speaker 30 (29:21):
Trust in the government when it comes to food safety
is at an all time low, according to Gallup, and
perhaps with good reason. The McDonald's E Coli outbreak follows
a lasteria recall at Costco and mass recalls of Boreshead
meat last summer. Food industry expert Sharif Mityes says the
concerns are understandable, but on the whole.

Speaker 31 (29:38):
If you think about the quantity of food that moves
through the US food supply, both from a grocery and
restaurant perspective, the percentage of affected truth is minute, and
consumers should still feel good about going out.

Speaker 30 (29:49):
He adds, you have a better chance of being struck
by lightning than getting sick from food at a restaurant
or grocery store. Coreyolsen News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 32 (30:18):
News Radio seven forty KDRH.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
It is five point nine here in Houston's Morty News.
Here's some junk science for here. Early this morning, a
new study suggests there may be a link between soda
consumption and male pattern baldness. Is at one can of
soda you drink every day causing you to lose your hair.
Even one soda per day could be a problem, according

(30:42):
to the authors of the study. But wait, what is
it about the soda that could cause hair loss? Is
it the fizziness?

Speaker 33 (30:53):
No?

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Is it the caramel coloring or whatever coloring's in it? No,
it's the sugar. Okay, a lot of things have sugar.
Why we pick it on soda pop if it's not
the things that make soda pop unique compared to other products.
So I'm already going to debunk this study. But basically

(31:16):
what they say is they know that sugar can affect
hair loss. Nutritions say that cutting sugar can help you
with hair loss and to stay healthier. It can also
lower your risk of having a stroke by up to
twenty two percent by cutting the sugar from your diet.
The problem is there's a lot of sugar in places

(31:37):
we don't even think that there would be sugar. So
what if I'm drinking soda or making products and sweetening
them with stevia, which is not sugar, or some other
sort of artificial sweetener. How does that impact your health?

(31:57):
No word on that. They just want to blame it
all on sugar. Okay, five forty time for traffic and
weather together.

Speaker 5 (32:04):
We would do that on Halloween.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
That's right, William. A couple of candy bars. Night's see
if any hair falls out, we'll put it to the test. Guy,
Mike Clip, what are you drinking over there?

Speaker 6 (32:14):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Okay, he's all right. We are trick or treating in
my house tonight.

Speaker 4 (32:18):
Let's go to the hard work and east side, check
your ship channel bridges and doing some Hartman here. I
would watch out for a sprinkle here there bakedown side
to Laport, rocking along at business speed. Here built way
eight the toll bridge. It's nice to have two lanes.
We're good from it. In the north shore side to

(32:39):

It's all nice and shiny and working again. Forty five

Speaker 27 (32:46):
John Back South Doune is still clear. But with all
the people from other stations.

Speaker 1 (32:51):

Speaker 15 (32:54):
I'm sure we'll have it rich sometimes.

Speaker 4 (32:56):
All right, you get extra points from verbiage and the
banana sticker mark from but for now we have a
clearboard and we reset the Jack.

Speaker 1 (33:03):

Speaker 4 (33:03):
Skylike on the classic Puick GMC traffic Center.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
Hey, before you go, just out of curiosity, what kind
of candy do you pass out at the ghetto house?

Speaker 4 (33:10):
You know, I'm probably a lot of liquorice and candy corn,
and I might even have some Mariah Carey Christmas CD
throwing a few apples, and you might be all set.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Some raisins from our KTRH Generator Supercenter twenty four our
weather center.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
Are you sure those are raisins? Stei?

Speaker 3 (33:28):
Mike is here ready to fill sky. Mike's already been here,
Go away.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
It's time.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
It's time to bring on Terry Smith to talk about
the trick or treat forecast.

Speaker 8 (33:38):
Yeah, it's uh, it's not looking so good if you're
out early today. But the later you wait, I think
the better your chances are of not needing the umbrella
while you're asking for raisins and liquorice. Oh my goodness.
So there's this call front that's headed our way, and

(33:58):
we've got quite a bit of wet weather today.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
We had rain yesterday.

Speaker 8 (34:02):
We have an eighty percent chance of more showers than
storms today. There is some wet weather Kingwood right now
to the west of Rosenberg, down toward West Columbia as well.
We've got a few showers. They'll increase into the afternoon
and then I think they'll taper off late afternoon, maybe
even in the early evening hours. So I got my
fingers crossed little bit. Eighties today, thirty percent chance of

(34:24):
rain during the overnight. We've got more rain through the weekend.
Forty percent chants of showers and storms tomorrow, a sixty
percent chance on Saturday, forty percent chance, more showers and
storms Sunday.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
And yes, there will be more rain Monday.

Speaker 3 (34:39):

Speaker 3 (34:52):
It is five poin fifty here on Houston's Worn News.
We've had a ton of food recalls recently, so much
so that we thought we'd do a little segment on
it and see if we we have a problem with
our nation's supply chain. Is what's causing all the problems now?
Some of the recalls have been for allergens, but some
of them have been for listeria and in other things.
They can make you sick and potentially even kill you.

(35:13):
We'll be joined by Sharif mitgis restaurant food industry expert
in the CEO of Bricks Holdings. Coming up next, first though,
traffic and weather together as we check out the drive
once again, here's sky Mike Nord.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
Three way outbound. That was an accident at west Mount Houston.
This is looks like the ninjas have already gotten this
out of the way, but we have a bit of
a scooch northbound, maybe an extra two or three minutes.
I'm in the Generator Supercenter dot Com Traffic Center.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
From r KTRH Generator Supercenter, twenty four hour Weather Center,
Showers and thundershowers are likely today very warm. They'll be
mainly in the afternoon with high temperature of eight two.
Tonight we'll have a few showers as well, but nothing
that should brain out the trick or traders. And then
tomorrow through Monday partly Cottee scattered showers and storms. High
temperatures generally in the lower eighties. Temperature right now seventy

(36:00):
seven at your official severe weather station, news Radio seven
forty KTRH. Time to check out some of our top stories.

Speaker 5 (36:07):
Here's Shay five fifty one on news Radio seven forty KTRH.
These headlines sponsored by moral Mechanical Donald Trump trolling the
left end Joe Biden himself pretty hard during yesterday's campaign
rally in Wisconsin. A new study by the Energy Alliance
shows that Texas had the highest average wholesale price of
electricity in the first three years of the Biden Harris

(36:31):
Go Green regime. Creepy Joe Biden added again though literally
nibbling and biting a baby yesterday during a White House
trick or treat event. The latest news anytime at gatesurh

of the hour.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
I will probably put my record against him.

Speaker 6 (36:50):

Speaker 32 (36:52):
Your decision twenty twenty four headquarters is use radio seventy
forty KTRH.

Speaker 1 (36:59):
It is thank you too. Now here in Houston's more news.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
So I'm looking at this laundry list of recalled items
here tarts, baby powder, the baby powder I forgot to
mention this one yesterday for potential metal or chemical contaminants,
including asbestos. How do you get asbestos and baby powder?
Chicken caes are, salad bowls, Kirkland smoked salmon that had
a recall on it, street taco meal mix from a

(37:24):
Sprouts Markets. I mean we've had a ton of them
here in the last couple of weeks. Joining us to
talk about is Sharif Mityes restaurantan food industry experts CEO
of Bricks Holdings. Do we have a supply chain problem
right now, Sharif? Or is this something else at work?

Speaker 34 (37:40):
It's not really a supply chain problem. I'd say it's
just heightened inspections and audits. So the process is, you know,
everyone kind of looks upstream. There's a paper trail, right,
and so you need to understand where your food's coming from,
which farm, to which distributor, to which manure. So in

(38:02):
the big scheme of things, yes, there's definitely issues, but
it's percentage wise, it's still very very small.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
Seems though. When a broad area like the slivered onions,
you know, McDonald's gets all the bad wrap for it.
But as the slivered onions were from a single processing
facility where in Colorado or somewhere, and then it was
going out to all these different states, now an abundance
of caution everybody else has to pull. Isn't it partially

(38:30):
part of the problem of these major, massive, big processing
facilities as opposed to you know, picking up your food
and slicing your onions yourself.

Speaker 34 (38:41):
Absolutely, I mean we've gone to a process world, right,
and so the more the more things get handled and
you don't have straight so to speak, farm the table,
these things will arise, right, something got mishandled, something didn't
get cleaned correctly, And unfortunately, to your point, it's one
and farm right that hadn't had a breakdown in their process. McDonald's, unfortunately,

(39:05):
is the brand that people know and they blame McDonald's.

Speaker 5 (39:08):
Yeah, so what a restauranteurs to do about it?

Speaker 34 (39:12):
Well, that's a great question. So restaurant tours before anything happens,
just needs to understand who they're working with right, Understand
the farms, understand the process, understand what audits and checks
happen to really as much as possible, make sure a
problem doesn't occur. But as you know, mistakes happen. So
now in McDonald's case, they've now got to be overcommunicative.

(39:34):
They've got to rebuild trust with their consumers. They got
to tell them why this happened, how do they find out,
what are they doing to ensure it never happens again,
and to rebuild that connection with their consumers.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
And that's where very few companies like that are transparent
enough with the public, I think. But I kind of
have to wonder too, and maybe you can answer this
for me. Do we have issues? Do you think as
some of these processing facilities with just being able to
find enough component people who are interested in working there,
how much of this is is because people are praving,
perhaps are not trained properly, or they're turnover so great

(40:08):
that it's hard to train people properly.

Speaker 34 (40:11):
Well, that's I think you've hit the nail on the
head that that's the number one issue, right it's this
is this gets down to human error. This gets down
to someone making a mistake, do not following a process,
and unfortunately, these things then occur, and it can be
a matter of quality of labor, quantity of labor, and
the ability to have the right people in the right places.

(40:31):
And you know, unfortunately it's these mistakes are going to
continue to happen. The key is to get in front
of it to ensure we're doing whatever we can to
give consumer's confidence that these are few and far between.

Speaker 5 (40:43):
And arsenic in tarts. How does that come about?

Speaker 25 (40:48):
Right?

Speaker 34 (40:49):
Yeah, So again, unfortunately, you know, as you're processing things,
some of these plants, some of these these manufacturers have
have these types of things that enter the system, that
enter their manufacturing sites, and that's when it leads to problems.

Speaker 3 (41:06):
Well, and I would guess too, some of the manufacturer
of multiple things and there might be cross contamination from
time to time.

Speaker 34 (41:12):
That's that's exactly right. I mean, there's very few places
that do only one thing to your point, right, and
so especially when you're talking about allergens. You guys mentioned
that earlier, Right, there's enough folks out there right now
that have severe peanut allergies or gluten, and so it's
really important from a consumer perspective to really understand the
brands you're buying, to understand the storages you're going to,

(41:34):
and to have that faith and that trust in those products.

Speaker 3 (41:37):
All right, Shreith, thanks for joining. I appreciate it. Sure
we admit. Yes, it is five fifty seven here in

Joe Biden finally said what he and Kamala really think
of our supporters.

Speaker 6 (43:28):
He called them garbage. No Way, No Way.

Speaker 5 (43:33):
President in Green Bay last night doing that rally while
wearing a sanitation worker's vest, driving into the battleground state
in a make America Great Again garbage truck. Both shots
at Joe Biden for calling Trump supporters garbage. On Tuesday,
White House spokesperson Kareine Jean Pierre is lying to America,

(43:55):
though again claiming that the President did not really insult
half of America. He does not view trumps supporters or
anybody who supports Trump as garbage. Now, that's what he said.
On Tuesday. White House also edited the official transcript of
Biden's garbage insult, trying to make it sound like he

(44:15):
didn't say it. Now, Republicans say just altering official words
of the president could be a violation of federal law.
It's now six ' oh three. Kamalas spent her day

Speaker 5 (45:24):
That's the reaction of Senator John Cornyn. Now at six
' oh four latest Rasmus in reporting and their polling,
Donald Trump a two point lead over Kamala Harris nationally
at forty eight to forty six percent. Democrats apparently are
preparing to lose the presidency. They've got a team of
lawyers on standby to challenge the election results.

Speaker 12 (45:47):
You'll get a feel or a sense for who the
next president is on election day, but that doesn't mean
the lawsuits won't follow, and we won't have a litigation
that lasts for weeks weeks.

Speaker 5 (45:57):
Conservative attorney Jared Woodville he told kg age is ironic
given the fact that America Democrats claim and have for
years that challenging election results is election denial. You remember
those names well somewhat Congress to get involved in all
this because non citizens are still on voter roles in

Speaker 22 (46:20):
It's still a possibility of non citizens voting in this

Speaker 13 (46:39):
What Virginia was trying to do was take people off

Speaker 3 (49:33):
Well, in old Virginia, they want to battle in front
of the Supreme Court they can remove non citizens from
their voter rules. Of course, I think they only identified
less than two thousand that were actually on the Virginia rules.
And I would love to know if they did the
same kind of an audit in Pennsylvania, in Wisconsin and Michigan,

(49:53):
if it would be that LoVa number, or if the
number would be higher. It's a national problem that needs
to be But here's how the news broke on CNN yesterday.
You could tell the anchors weren't real pleased to have
to share this particular piece of information.

Speaker 36 (50:07):
This is incredibly significant because this is one of the
Court's first significant decisions ahead of next week's election. Here
they are allowing the state of Virginia to continue with
a program that will purge suspected non citizens from its
voter registration roles. And this is a bit of a
surprise because the Trial Court and the Appellate court sided
with the Biden administration that objected to this purge, saying

(50:31):
that this state cannot, under federal law remove large groups
of people from the voter rules within ninety days of
an election. That there is nothing stopping them from investigating
individual voters and removing them from the voter rules. Now,
former President Trump has seized on this issue in Virginia,
as have other Republicans, as a way that they should

(50:53):
be able to remove suspected non citizens, calling it sort
of a common sense move, and hear a divided court
courted across partisan lines, siding with Republicans. Now, Governor Younkin,
who's implementing or attempting to implement this program, he has
issued a statement saying, quote, this is a victory for
common sense and election fairness.

Speaker 1 (51:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:12):
I would say it's a victory for common sense. I mean,
how is the Supreme Court justice, how do you justify
not allowing a state to remove non citizens from the vote.

Speaker 5 (51:25):
Under that state law? Yes, that state law required it.
And they these they were self reporting illegal aliens. They
checked a box and said no, I am a non
I am a non citizen.

Speaker 3 (51:36):
Yes, so it's not a suspected non citizen. It is
somebody declaring them.

Speaker 5 (51:41):
Ruling was six to three and it was Conservatives versus
you know, so the Biden judges didn't win the day, right.
They keep reporting like us a football game, not about
the constitution.

Yeah, and you know, so most people are trick or treating,
are going to be trick or treating from their homes
and their own neighborhoods and just do a quick check
of the radar before you head out and see how
it's looking. I think we're in better shape than what
we're going to see most of the day. And we
were already getting some showers and storms this morning, and

(53:48):
that'll continue and actually increase into the afternoon. But I
think late afternoon and evening that time frame may be
a little bit quieter and not as much rain, so
that would.

Speaker 1 (53:59):
Be welcome news.

Speaker 8 (54:01):

Six twenty two is our time here on Houston's Morning News.
I don't know about the guns, put the Baker lawyers
and money involved. After this election is over and done with.
Jared Woodfield joins us to talk about what is likely
to happen. I think we all know that once the
election is over, if Donald Trump has won, and maybe
even if he hasn't, there are going to be lawsuits.

Speaker 1 (57:15):
They're gonna be brought. Would you care to comment, sir.

Speaker 37 (57:21):
H Jimmy, He's gonna be with you this morning. Absolutely,
they are going to be lawsuits set that are going
to be brought. Should we be surprised? I mean, this
is a group of individuals that have peached this gentleman
two times. They've tried to indict and actually convicted President Trump.
They filed civil lawsuits against him and hundreds of millions
of dollars. So they're gonna do everything they can to
try to prevent President Trump from being the next president

(57:44):
the United States, and that's gonna include election law contest
that'll happen in the battleground states. I mean, we go
all the way back to two thousand and Bush by
Gore and the Hanging Chad, So we know that this
is in their arsenal. We know that it's coming, and
the Trump team, I know, is prepared for it well.

Speaker 5 (57:59):
And they're not going to go just after Donald Trump.
They're going to go down ballot too. I mean, I
wouldn't be a bit surprised to see some sort of
challenge against Ted Cruz should he win here in Texas,
which it looks like he will, but if he doesn't,
I mean, I can see this happening all across, not
just battleground states. They want to keep control.

Speaker 37 (58:17):
That's exactly right, share, I mean, I can see it
also happening in the Ted Cruz race too. And then
they'll go and they'll look for a friendly form, a
friendly judge, and they'll do everything they can to try
to put the election on hold, and ultimately, you know,
you're looking at depend on what vehicle they use, a
state system of the federal system. Likely the federal system,
it would find its way with the United States Supreme Court.

(58:37):
The good news is the election law contests are usually
not successful. Unfortunately, they take a whole lot of time
and they waste a whole lot of resources, but they're
usually not successful.

Speaker 3 (58:47):
Yeah, Virginia one their case in front of the Supreme Court.
Speaking of which, but does this not illustrate once again
just how important picking Supreme Court justices is. That that
may be the most important thing that any prevent does.

Speaker 37 (59:01):
Oh well, you're absolutely right, Jimmy. Going back to what
you just said, the Supreme Court's decision and the Virginia case.
I mean, it should be very clear that if you're
not a US citizen, you can't be on a voter roll.
But there was a federal judge you said no, you
can be, Thank the Lord, we had a supreme six
to three majority on the Supreme Court that said no,
that they can purge or remove these individuals from the
voter role because they're not US citizens. So, yes, who

(59:24):
sits on that the Highest Court is extremely important because
it implicates every other lower case decision, and then many
times those decisions are coming from judges that have a
completely different ideology that's inconsistent with the US Constitution.

Speaker 5 (59:38):
But we have to worry because how many times have
we seen in the past that the lawless seem to
hold sway over court decisions and fear arousing fear on
American streets. What kind of chaos shall we be expected?

Speaker 37 (59:53):
Well, that's exactly right, Sara too. I mean, when they
don't like the Left doesn't like the results, they go
to the streets. I mean, I mean, we've seen what
they're tried to do to President Trump. I mean, they
do not want him to be president.

Speaker 15 (01:00:04):
They have done.

Speaker 37 (01:00:04):
Everything and they can't to prevent him from becoming the
next president of United States, including some individuals that have
tried to take his own mind. And so we know
that ultimately there will likely be protests, they are likely
to be riots going on, and it's important that law
enforcement will actually go after those individuals. And there will
be those that will turn a blind eye to it.

(01:00:25):
But I think ultimately you're going to have individuals that
will stand up, that will speak up, and that will
refuse to give up, and we'll shut it down. And
I do believe President Trump's gonna be the next president
United States, regardless of what legal challenges he may face.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
Yeah, dude, de ill'stright SHARE's point line.

Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
I don't know if you saw Jerry, but last line
in Los Angeles after the Dodgers won the World Series, looting,
setting cars on fire, wearing masks, rioting that they're just
looking for a reason to get out there and do it,
and the election will be a prime reason.

Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
Warning.

Speaker 37 (01:00:56):
Oh absolutely, I mean, and those are the same individuals
that Kamala Harris has supported and helped bail out numerous occasions.
And so yeah, the left has a completely different ideology,
and so when it comes to them not getting the
result they want that, I don't think there's anything that
they won't do. That's why it's so important that we
re elect President Trump and that we get to we

(01:01:16):
support law enforcement too, because it's ultimately going to be
law enforcement, it's absolutely and they're putting their lives on
the line every single day.

Speaker 5 (01:01:24):
Let me he's one more comment, Mark Elias. I mean,
he's the mastermind of all these battle He's coordinating it
all across all these different states and all these different jurisdictions.
He is the legal Let's take him down and burn
it down in court if we can.

Speaker 38 (01:01:41):
Well, you remember Share in twenty twenty where they did
everything they could to change election law in different states,
doing it through Secretary of States, doing it through governors
and some of the key battleground states.

Speaker 37 (01:01:52):
And they did it all in the interest of the pandemic,
you remember that. And many of the things that they did,
I believe were unconstitutional.

Speaker 27 (01:01:59):
So we know that there's a model that they will
employ and that they will use in order to.

Speaker 37 (01:02:04):
Change the process to achieve the ins which their goal
is to get Kamala Harris elected.

Speaker 38 (01:02:09):
That's not going to happen.

Speaker 37 (01:02:10):
Donald Trump is going to be the next president United
States and despite the legal challenges they may wave against him.

Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
All right, Jared, thanks for joining us as always appreciate it.

Agree with any where the system of people basement who
they vote for.

Speaker 37 (01:11:14):
He sid Begod, you got to keep here the best
gage by or so good guard hit.

Speaker 39 (01:11:20):
I ain't here, and.

Speaker 7 (01:11:23):
I would like to set it in NA say I.

Speaker 27 (01:11:25):
Would represent Paul Man.

Speaker 38 (01:11:29):
Don't go for me.

Speaker 40 (01:11:30):
This is starting to feel like, you know, me and
Judge were fighting for the same promotion, and Dana picked Judge,
and so Judge is outside the five doing a press
conference and I'm inside here and they wanted to interview me,
but I don't get the cameras I get apparently a
guy around my height holding a phone down trying to
make him look skinny for some reason. I guess he

(01:11:51):
was gonna take selfies for Facebook afterwards, and he was
just frustrated and mad and he should be out there,
not her. And that garbage term, just so you know,
garbage is the used to be the strongest word you
could use on television before you got into the cuss words.
So garbage was the last line. So he was he

(01:12:13):
was in the mind frame of he was still on TV,
but he was on somebody's phone. So garbage. Like in wrestling,
when you piece of garbage, it's time to go. You
got to roll up the sleeves and fight. But I
think at this point last week we were Hitler and Nazis.

Speaker 1 (01:12:27):
Now we're garbage.

Speaker 40 (01:12:29):
I think at this point, no one's brittle on our side.
Keep the names coming. We're going to keep the voting going.
And you wouldn't be saying these things if it wasn't
a complete blowout.

Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
Here's what I think. I think that those of you
who don't have a Trump twenty twenty four campaign sign,
but you really would like to have one at this
particular moment, here's the next best thing, Phillip A hefty bag.
Put it out, a big hefty bag. Out in your
front yard and just put Trump twenty twenty four in
the hefty bag. Everybody will know what that means. Everybody

(01:13:01):
will get a chuckle from it, and you'll have your
campaign sign that you haven't been able to get your
hands on. Six forty Time for traffic and weather together.
Checking out the drive again.

Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
Here's sky Mike, all right, clear the North Freeway west
Mount Houston.

Speaker 1 (01:13:13):
Jimmy, that's out of the way. Reck's gone, man.

Speaker 4 (01:13:16):
They're showing a thirty one minute delay now from Parker
on the outbound. So let's jump on the hardy big
shots commoners. Take the East Texas instead six ' ten
north eastbound at Wayside Austin from Cyprus. Helping me out here.
This is a wreck with two left lanes. Houston Transtar
has got it on. We are stopping and going from
Herst that way about a fourteen minute drag. Unless you're hazardous,

(01:13:38):
it may be a lot easier to take it in
the Kadi side to iten the baytown side south Loop.
Since your hazardous terry do that instead, you've gotten a
wreck on I sixty nine.

Speaker 1 (01:13:48):
This is south of Rosenberg. Oh it's Beasley, Texas.

Speaker 4 (01:13:50):
Yeah, there's a pilot truck stop there northbound and that's
a wreck right after three sixty let's call it before
I leave road.

Speaker 1 (01:13:58):
Which sounds kind of soulful. Oober Mike, what's up, dude?

Speaker 22 (01:14:01):
Hey?

Speaker 26 (01:14:01):
What's this like? Coming in from Humble to Willie C
to the airport.

Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
It looks great?

Speaker 38 (01:14:07):
No issues.

Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
Also, I need some help.

Speaker 26 (01:14:09):
My wife's heading out toward gana whack.

Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
You give me some help. I'd really appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (01:14:13):
All right, Gator Capital of the State, And you know what,
I'll keep Lori from Winnie and also Carla from Sillsby
on that for me. Throughout the day, I'm Skymike and

Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
From r kt r H Generator Supercenter, twenty four hour
weather Center. Terry Smith is here. Everybody's on pins and
needles waiting on the forecast for Halloween trick or treating.
Most of the kids, by the way, I have rules.
There will be no trick or treating at my house
after eight pm.

Speaker 1 (01:14:40):
Okay, I'm with you on that one.

Speaker 3 (01:14:43):
Five So between five and eight that's probably prime time
for trick or treating.

Speaker 1 (01:14:46):
Today. What's the weather going to be like? It's going
to be spectacular. How's that that's very noncamental.

Speaker 8 (01:14:58):
Well, it's a combination of uk and spectacular. So it's
going to be warm and muggy, that can be said
with one certainty. And whether or not it's going to
be raining, obviously is the big question. And from what
I can tell, these showers and thunderstorms are just kind
of random, scattered showers and storms that fronts well to

(01:15:20):
the north of us, So it's not like we can
say all the rain's going to be the north, or
the front's going to be clear and the dryer airs here.
So there we're in this gray zone, so to speak.
But right now, it looks like from what I've been
watching that the bulk of the rain will be during
the early to mid part of the afternoon, and then

(01:15:41):
late afternoon and early evening we won't have as much rain. Now,
if you're going to be one of the unfortunate people
that does have some of that rain, I apologize in advance.
I don't have any control over this. If I could,
it'd be a whole lot more fun.

Speaker 3 (01:15:56):

to talk to the folks there, Brett Farb. They're very
familiar with Brett Farb and Green Bay, Wisconsin obviously, so
here's a little bit of what Brett Farb had to say.

Speaker 25 (01:18:52):
Families across Wisconsin are struggling to make ends meet people's
salaries having kept on with inflation. It's getting harder for
younger people to buy their first home. People are losing
hope in the American dream. And it's not just about money.
People are losing their lives. Last year, fifty people here

(01:19:14):
in Brown County died of a fentanyl overdose. That's fifty
too many, and our kids faced the prospect.

Speaker 6 (01:19:26):
Of World War three.

Speaker 25 (01:19:29):
Really, we've already had President Trump once, we've already seen
common Land action. We can compare and we know which
is better. The definition. You know the definition of insanity.

Speaker 1 (01:19:58):
And I think we all know it. Doing the same
thing over and over.

Speaker 25 (01:20:02):
And expecting different results sounds like the first couple of
years of mine and thin you're here with the practice.

but we figured out a.

Speaker 1 (01:20:20):
Way to get it done. But getting back to.

Speaker 25 (01:20:26):
To the point at hand, it would be insane to
give Kamala four more years in office.

Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
I would agree with that. It would bet my definition
of insanity all right. Time for the timeline. Get a

The White House says that's not what Biden meant. And

Speaker 7 (01:23:45):
My response to Joe and Kamala is very simple. You
can't lead America if you don't love Americans.

Speaker 5 (01:23:52):
It's sure Donald Trumpet is rally in Green Bay last night,
showing up on stage in a sanitation work driving to
the arena and a Maga garbage truck. We have the
photos and video on our ex page at KTRH News.
White House flat out lying about what Joe Biden said,
by the way to bring this all about at least

(01:24:13):
about half of America.

Speaker 1 (01:24:16):
Just to clarify, he was not calling Trump supporters garbage.

Speaker 6 (01:24:20):
Only garbage I see floating out there as his supporters.

Speaker 1 (01:24:23):
That's what he said.

Speaker 5 (01:24:24):
Spokesperson Karine Jean Pierre tried to rewrite it. White House
is in hot water for editing the official transcript too
of Biden's garbage insult that you just heard and can
hear again and again. House GOP leaders, including Oversight Committee
chair James Comer, says, re editing what the presidential officially

(01:24:45):
said is a violation of federal law. How many times
have they done this? Seven oh three is our time?
A much less joyful atmosphere at rallies for Kamala Harris
certainly yesterday. Everybody has a right to be heard now
I am speaking, and everyone.

Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
Has a right to be heard right now, I am speaking.

Speaker 5 (01:25:04):
Heckled by the anti Israel crowd in North Carolina and Pennsylvania,
she shut them down with I am speaking here at home.
There are two days left in the early voting period,
Texas Republicans turning out in larger number than Democrats based
on their voting histories.

Speaker 10 (01:25:22):
Anyway, if that number sounds large, it is large. That
is much more than we've seen in previous elections.

Speaker 5 (01:25:30):
Political strategist doctor Ross Hunt. He was on Austin TV.
It's now seven oh four, sign of what's to come.
Trump beat Kamala in the mock student election across one
hundred and thirty eight schools in Maine. That election has
correctly predicted the winner of every presidential election since two
thousand and eight. Not election day yet, but the Democrats

(01:25:52):
are already preparing their army of lawyers to contest the results.

Speaker 11 (01:25:57):
This could be a sign that the Democrats are nervous
about their chances.

Speaker 12 (01:26:00):
The Democratic Party can clearly see their riding on the
wall where they're not able to achieve at the ballot box.
They're going to try to achieve litigations, and that's why
they're getting their lawyers ready to go.

Speaker 11 (01:26:09):
Conservative attorney Jared Woodfield says that you can expect more
than just lawsuits if the Democrats lose.

Speaker 12 (01:26:14):
We know that Democrats will use rhetoric, language, lawsuits, whatever
it takes to try to get the result they want,
regardless of whether that's the will of the people.

Speaker 11 (01:26:22):
Woodville says that with all these lawsuits in play, it
could take weeks to get the finalized and official election results.

The US Supreme Court rules on the side of Virginia
state law that demands that state purge self identified non
citizens sixteen hundred of them from its voting rules.

Speaker 13 (01:26:44):
This idea that this could prevent or mistakenly result in
American citizens from Virginia not being able to vote is bogus.

Speaker 5 (01:26:53):
As the former US Attorney Andrew McCarthy, he says, preventing
non citizens from voting in our elections is just common
sense and frankly what Americans want. Congress should get involved
in this. We'll have live coverage Election Night starting Tuesday
night seven pm KTRH, KTRH dot com and the iHeartRadio app.

(01:27:15):
It's now seven oh five. Houston based Marathon Oil has
informed the Texas Workforce Commission that its merger with Coneco
Phillips will result in more than five hundred layoffs at
the Houston office. Big business is one thing, but the
result of the Biden Hereri's economy has certainly brought high
end certainty for small businesses the backbone of America.

Speaker 1 (01:27:37):
And here out.

Speaker 14 (01:27:37):
For the thirty third consecutive month, the optimism index is
below the fifty year average.

Speaker 15 (01:27:44):
I think there's a lot of election anxiety. I mean,
there's an uncomfortable holding pattern. You've got two candidates that
have very different views.

Speaker 14 (01:27:51):
That is Jeff ber Dat, Texas State director at the
NFIB inflation.

Speaker 15 (01:27:56):
And worker shortages are still business's top struggles. And regardless
of point you hear about inflation from our national media,
the input costs on business owner side have not decreased.

Speaker 1 (01:28:05):
He says.

Speaker 14 (01:28:06):
Hopefully that will all change after the election. Jeff Biggs

Leith Dike of Texas Loan Star says, we are, however,
seeing a shift in the sizes smaller lots and town homes.

Speaker 16 (01:28:28):
They are building a higher density product with generally targeting
a price point to try to reach as many people
as they can. Putupsodies that are helping people get into
these homs to try to make them more affordable and
definitely helpful, especially when you have a rise in interestrate
market trying to make things more affordable for the consumer.

Speaker 5 (01:28:43):
And as long as the economy is like this, He
says that trend will continue. Seven oh seven is our time,
a month left in what the climate fearmongers had told
us was going to be quote an explosive Atlantic hurricane season.

Speaker 1 (01:28:56):
We were supposed to get twenty to twenty five storms.

Speaker 18 (01:28:59):
But we had fifteen named storms. Of that, ten have
become hurricanes, and five of those hurricanes that hit the
US Gulf Coast.

Speaker 17 (01:29:07):
Jeff Linder with the Harris County Flood Control District says
the numbers didn't live up to the hype, but the
storm sure did.

Speaker 18 (01:29:13):
But only takes one storm to make it an impactful
season for your particular area.

Speaker 15 (01:29:20):

I'm sorry, is there anything creepier than eighty one year

Speaker 1 (01:30:15):
The mama was smiling, or the nanny, whoever, it was,
probably the nanny.

Speaker 5 (01:30:20):
Oh, probably a staffer.

Speaker 1 (01:30:23):
Yeah. It wasn't just one, right, it was a little

He did this too.

we've done that kind of thing, kissed their feet what Yeah,
But somehow with him, it just didn't come across that way.
Just he looked He had another one where he looked

like he was biting the he's pretending to bite her
the child's leg, and a child laughed, I mean like
he was teasing her. Yeah, yeah, he didn't. He didn't
hurt anybody or anything. It's just really weird looking. It's
just it's just he has a waist, like smelling hair.
He has a way of sniffing ears.

Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
Yeah, he has a way young women. Yeah, he has
a way of just looking creepy asking them how old
they are, little girls. Yes, yeah, it's it's creepy.

Speaker 3 (01:31:18):
It is creepy. There's no way around it is creepy.
It doesn't and it doesn't make for a very good
photo op. The person in the United States with your
baby's foot in his mouth, I mean he has his
own foot he can stick in his mouth virtually anytime.

Speaker 1 (01:31:31):
Seven to ten?

Speaker 5 (01:31:31):

westbound Houston. It's out of the way, but we're backed
up from the loop now. We're still losing twenty someidd
minutes on the northbound side. South find as eerially quiet

Speaker 1 (01:33:22):
Well, there's a lot in common there, right all right, Well,
thank you for that lightning report. That's very exciting.

Speaker 8 (01:33:32):
We do have some rain out there, and we will
be dealing with showers and thunderstorms today.

Speaker 1 (01:33:37):
It's a little soggy off to the west.

Speaker 8 (01:33:40):
That's where I'm seeing most of the rain, near Sugarland
and Rosenberg and northward up to the Woodlands. There's been
some showers and a couple of rumbles of thunder and
it's going to continue, especially into the afternoon. It looks
like the bulk of the rain early to mid afternoon,
and then I have my fingers crossed now. Indications are

(01:34:01):
that it will taper off late afternoon into the evening,
so check the radar if you're heading out later on today.

Speaker 1 (01:34:06):
Low to mid eighties.

Speaker 8 (01:34:08):
We've got rain every single day and This is really
beneficial for how dry we've been recently. Forty percent chants
and more showers and storms tomorrow, sixty percent chance of
rain Saturday, and a forty percent chance of more showers
and thunderstorms Sunday.

It's Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New South
Windows Solutions. Now back to Jimmy and Sherah with the
info you need to take on the day. So, what
happens to all those legal cases against President Trump if
he is elected? I would assume the federal cases get dropped.
But what we'll talk about, you know, the different cases

(01:34:51):
and what might happen with David Gelman. He's an attorney
and he's also a Trump legal circuit. We'll talk to
him next. First, though, let's do traffic and weather together
as we check out the drive on with you Skymike.
We just cleared the North Freeway and another one popped
up here. This is an earlier wreck at Westmount. The
tow truck phantoms have spirited away those vehicles. Now we've
got a wreck at west Road. This is outbound, not inbound.

Speaker 4 (01:35:13):
Also, we've got that stall still I ten just right
at forty five downtown. That's just messing up your East
Freeway from Lockwood coming in from the east side westbound,
twelve extra minutes if you're hauling something sinis to take
the southway of six ten. I'm Skymike and the Generator
Supercenter dot Com traffic Center.

Speaker 3 (01:36:49):
Well, I know one thing. This will be a lot
of employed lawyers on November the fifth, more than are
even employed now. One of those attorneys that probably will
be working with President Trump would be David Gelman.

Speaker 1 (01:37:03):
Welcome to our show. David.

Speaker 3 (01:37:04):
We want to talk to you about the cases that
are pending against President Trump and what do you think
is likely to happen should he become elected. I would
assume the first thing he would do is to hire
an attorney general and then fire Jack Smith.

Speaker 6 (01:37:18):
Good morning, guys.

Speaker 26 (01:37:18):
You're and by the way, you're right, this is like
an economic boom for attorneys right now and in November fifth.
But you are exactly right. Or when he becomes president,
he first thing he's going to do. I think he's
going to fire Jack Smith, that's the first thing, and
then get the Attorney general. So it's going to be
one in one a. But Jack Smith, obviously he was

(01:37:42):
unconstitutionally appointed by the Attorney General Mayor Garland right now,
so he has no business doing any the injustice against
President Trump. So he's going to be the first to
go I think out of anybody.

Speaker 1 (01:37:57):
In the government.

Speaker 5 (01:37:58):
You know, some of this just mass of a deliberate
election interference on their part, but it never gets reported
that way. It's always about well, Trump is going to
save himself by getting elected. Well that's not really the
truth here, is it.

Speaker 26 (01:38:12):
No, not at all, not all again. Look, even Justice
Thomas Claire Thomas said in his opinion that the appointment
of Jack Smith is unconstitutional. Now, what they're doing is
completely just something that's never happened in our country's history.

(01:38:33):
So they appointed a special counsel to go after a
president all right during the election. So not and you
remember the d Ojay has an unwritten rule that you're
not going to deal with anything regarding any candidate within
the ninety days of an election. Well, obviously we're what
six days away, five days away and we're still dealing

(01:38:54):
with Jack Smith and President Trump. It is completely election interfeace.
They would try to keep him off the campaign trail
and it backfired a tremendously one hundred percent. And because
of that, the American people they see what has happened
with the DJ. It has become a very corrupt place.

(01:39:14):
And when President Trump is re elected, I think he's
going to clean everything up and we're going to have
a DJ that does its job, goes after individuals and
or companies that are, you know, doing the wrong thing,
not a individual who just threatened the the way that
the liberals want to act.

Speaker 3 (01:39:36):
I guess in Washington, well, you know New York is
also a very corrupt place. What happens to the state cases?

Speaker 26 (01:39:42):
So that's a good question. The problem is President Trump,
in his powers as president, if he is re elected,
will not really be able to do anything with the
New York cases because he only has the powers or
Jack Smith has the powers federally, not for the states.
So what happened is for the for the one for

(01:40:03):
Alvin Bragg, that case, he has not President Trump has
not been sentenced, and I don't think he'll be sentenced
until after his presidential term is over, so they're going
to have to wait four years to sentence him. Now
at that time, I don't even know if that case
will even be around. They may dismiss it, they may

(01:40:24):
you know, there's they're going to be individuals that were
here four or five years ago that are not around anymore.
So it's going to be a very difficult time for
whoever is the attorney, the district attorney, and the judge
in four or five years.

Speaker 5 (01:40:40):
Okay, in the wan Moreshawn case there in Manhattan, he's
going to see set sentencing for November twenty six. So
what happens to that one? Uh, how much collusion is that?
With the US attorney there? They can prove that too,
can't they? And then Trump can fire have all those
US attorneys fired in his own Justice department.

Speaker 26 (01:41:00):
Oh, that's going to be like the first thing that
the Attorney General does is fire every US attorney in
the country and appoint new ones who actually, you.

Speaker 27 (01:41:10):
Know, follow the law.

Speaker 5 (01:41:11):
And Obama did it. Let's point out Obama did that.
Nobody raised a fuss.

Speaker 26 (01:41:17):
Yeah exactly. But can you imagine the mainstream media what
they're going to say as soon as President Trump doesn't, they're.

Speaker 1 (01:41:24):
Going to go crazy.

Speaker 26 (01:41:25):
But like you just said, yeah, President Obama did it
and nothing happened. But as for Mersehawn, I don't see
that sentencing happening for the simple reason that number one,
you know Trump hopefully will be president at the time,
or you know, president elect, there's no way they can
sentence him. But number two, if you know, in the

(01:41:46):
unlikely event that President Trump is not elected president, they're
not going to have that sentencing a couple of weeks
after the election. I don't see that happening.

Speaker 3 (01:41:57):
All right, David, thank you, appreciate your time. Sirdavid Gelman,

is time to take a look at your money. Forty

Speaker 1 (01:44:49):
It's time to fight back.

Speaker 5 (01:44:50):
I've had it with it, like you know, Diamond speaking
plainly at the American Bankers Association this week. Mainstream media
and the White House claiming this economy is still rolling
strong and that is continuing gas lighting of the last
four years.

Speaker 22 (01:45:11):

Per financial planner Bill Dundee says, Shrinkflation is another issue.
We're paying more getting less. Seven thirty four is our time.
City of Houston plans to establish a city sponsored homeless encampment.

Speaker 24 (01:46:13):
You've got to have them in a location that you
can interview them, provide for them, showers, support, a Cans
for food bank will feed them.

Speaker 5 (01:46:23):
Yeah, encampment that can be controlled rather than willy nilly
blankets on the streets. Mayor John Whitmyer with our TV
partner channel too, we've got violence in our streets. Two
people injured in separate shootings last night. It's now seven
thirty four. More than seven million have voted early so
far across Texas. Two days left in the early voting period.

(01:46:44):
Now polls reopened this morning or they reopened, I should
say past sence at seven am this morning. Donald Trump
entering Green Bay, Wisconsin, trolling Democrats and Joe Biden. We're
calling Trump supporters garbage.

Speaker 1 (01:46:58):
How did he do it?

Speaker 39 (01:47:00):

Speaker 6 (01:47:32):
How dare he say that?

Speaker 5 (01:47:34):
Trump rallying in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Henderson, Nevada today,
Kamala Harris with Bill Clinton something for in Michigan yesterday. Well,
he put his foot in the mouth again.

Speaker 6 (01:47:46):
I don't think it's tried to say.

Speaker 28 (01:47:50):
That people have to vote for Donald Trump caused the
economies out.

Speaker 5 (01:47:54):
Of his economy is better than hers. It was Clinton's
second gaff on the campaign trail. US Supreme Court allows
Virginia to move forward with its state law that requires
a removal of non citizens from the state voter rolls,

that's been ongoing against Donald Trunk if he wins well,

Trump legal surrogate David Gelman tells KTRH the federal cases
in Washington and Florida will be dropped immediately.

Speaker 29 (01:48:52):
President Trump has even said on day one he's going
to fire Jack Smith, the Special Council on the two
federal cases that happened.

Speaker 1 (01:49:00):
Game over.

Speaker 29 (01:49:01):
These cases are going to go away, which they should
have never been brought.

Speaker 5 (01:49:03):
As for the two state cases, Gelman expects the Georgia
case to be dismissed. In New York. Trump has been
scheduled for sentencing before that Judge one Murshaan November twenty six,
But you cannot sentence a president. It is now seven
thirty seven, a Rajah recalls, raising alarm what's happening to

(01:49:25):
our food supply chain?

Speaker 30 (01:49:27):
Trust in the government when it comes to food safety
is at an all time low, according to Gallop, and
perhaps with good reason. The McDonald's e Coli outbreak, funnels
of Lasteria recall at Costco, and mass recalls of boreshead
meat last summer. Food industry expert Sharif Mityeses says the
concerns are understandable, but on.

Speaker 31 (01:49:43):
The whole, if you think about the quantity of food
that moves through the US food supply well, from a
grocery and restaurant perspective, the percentage of affected tooth is minute,
and consumers should still feel good about going out.

to clock out. You usually have it on all day
at work, so check in office, stay up to date
with used radio.

Speaker 3 (01:50:30):
Seven forty KTRH three seven thirty eight is our time
hearing Houston's morning news. I don't know about y'all, but
I have rules as relates to trick or treating. I've
changed the rules over time. They're not the same rules
that I employed for myself when I was trick or
treading way back in the day. Those rules included king
size pillowcases for holding your candy because you were not

(01:50:54):
going to stop until it was full. Nobody puts that
kind of work at think into Halloween anymore. But I
do have some basic rules. First of all, no trick
or treating after eight pm. I think I mentioned that
a little bit earlier. You can get it all done
between five and eight. Three hours is plenty. Most of
most of them are not going to most of them
are going to go to a couple of houses.

Speaker 1 (01:51:15):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (01:51:17):
You must be there will be at my house. There
will be a yardstick near the door. You must not
be any taller than sixty three point five inches in
order to be able to trick or treat at my house.

Speaker 1 (01:51:30):
That is the that is the high.

Speaker 3 (01:51:32):
Fifty four to sixty three point five inches is the
average height of a twelve year old. Twelve year old
is the cutoff for trick or trading at my house. Okay,
we don't allow teenagers.

Speaker 1 (01:51:44):
If I keep shrinking, I'll beat that one day. So
that's five. By the way, that's five foot two.

Speaker 5 (01:51:51):
I know it is well, five times twelve is sixty.
So sixty three point one.

Speaker 3 (01:51:58):
Sixty three point five five three. So if I'll tell
you what if you are, if you are that short,
then I will. I will go ahead and give you
a candy bar, because you're vertically challenged, regardless of your age,
So not to worry.

Speaker 1 (01:52:11):
Not to worry.

Speaker 3 (01:52:12):
Also, I would appreciate a thank you after collecting your candy.
I've noticed that the manners have been slipping. You get
a lot of trigg or trade, but you don't get
a lot of thank you. And parents who are taking
their kids around and more and more often parents do
don't let their kids trick or treat alone. Please remind
your kids to say thank you. It's the polite thing

(01:52:33):
to do, never too never too early to learn matters
and oh, by the way, as a special this year
only bonus, if you come to my house wearing a
garbage bag that says Trump supporter, you'll get too full
sized candy bars.

Speaker 1 (01:52:49):
Do you get repeat? Do you pay attention to the
costumes so that you know when you've got to repeat?

Speaker 31 (01:52:55):
Not?

Speaker 26 (01:52:56):
Really.

Speaker 3 (01:52:56):
It's funny because you know, in our neighborhood, which is
I mean, it's a super safe neighborhood. Nothing bad ever
happens in our neighborhood. At least it doesn't seem I know,
bad things happen everywhere, but it doesn't seem like it does.
I've noticed that parents are really nervous about going to
houses of people they don't know. It wasn't like that
when we were kids.

Speaker 5 (01:53:14):
You know, or we knew everybody in the neighborhood.

Speaker 3 (01:53:17):
Well yeah, or you or you'd have a you live
in a big subdivision, and you may not know everybody
in the neighborhood, but you weren't afraid to go to
the other side of the subdivision to trick or treat.
These days, I noticed the parents they look at each
house like I don't know the people who live there
is if somebody's waiting there to poison their children, which
I don't think is the case. I think I think
in most cases, especially you know a certain neighborhoods, you're

(01:53:38):
gonna be fine.

Speaker 1 (01:53:39):
Oh one more rule.

Speaker 3 (01:53:42):
In order to receive the full sized candy bar, you
must actually live in my hood. And if you have been,
if you're being bussed or vanned in from somewhere else,
you will get the minis.

Speaker 5 (01:53:54):
I worry a lot about our streets are very crowded
in West you and people in with their kids. They're
not neighborhood kids at right, And they drive in and
they park where they can, right, And that's a real
sight disadvantage. You know, those kids, those children crossing those streets.
It's as scary as all get out. That's why I

(01:54:15):
really hate it.

Speaker 3 (01:54:15):
After dark and they're trick or treating earlier and earlier
they need to get. They get closer and closer you
can see and drivers can see. And by the times
when people are still coming home from work. So just
a reminder, keep your eyes open today. You know you
might forget for a second that it's Halloween and you
got a bunch of kids out there. Some are wearing
masks and can't see that well. So anyway, ole days

(01:54:36):
are gone. Jimmy, happy trick or trading, and bring all
your leftover butter fingers to me. Please, time for traffic
and weather together, he.

Speaker 4 (01:54:43):
Says, I should bring have als those little small liquor
bottles along with my candy corn liquorice.

Speaker 1 (01:54:48):
I will give you a candy bar because I think
you've met the height requirements.

Speaker 4 (01:54:52):
Thank you, you know, because she's got those bottles for
me though, because you know trick or treaters have mummies.

Speaker 1 (01:54:57):
