Services studios.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Well, good morning, five am on the Monday. Jimmy Barrett here,
this is Houston's Morning News. Among our top stories. As
we get started this morning, up to a four and
a half hour wait just to get through TSA at Bush.
Trump tells sixteen minutes the ice raids have not gone
far enough in coming up at five to eight. Trick
or trading these days involves little to zero walking details
(00:39):
in the minutes ahead. You're in Houston's Morning News. For me,
we're not doing it online. We haven't gotten that far yet,
but I fear that's next. Guy Mike, Oh god, what
AI tricker trading? Horrible? All right?
Speaker 4 (00:50):
Two eighty eight look out nordbound at Belford? Is that
really a wreck in two right lines? I never know
what the two eighty eight people, I believe it. Look
at the backups here, we're an extra three or four
trying to get up. That does look kind of on
the serious side, should we reroute? Not really, it's it
might be a minute or two extra, So go ahead
and stick to the course on two eighty eight. Now,
(01:11):
speaking of TSA and airports, I've noticed it's been a
little crazier on JFK and will Clayton Parkway. And boy,
people are not happy that are getting on and off
to planes on Bush Airport. So just be ready, everybody,
be patient, give a little love JFK, Will Clayton Parkway.
You know you can always take a back route like
(01:32):

Rum R KTRH top tax defenders twenty four hours with
the sunder Sunday today, with the high temperature right about
seventy seven. We got a warming trend this week back
into the eighties. More than that in the minutes ahead.
First we'll just let you know that current temperature here
is let me double check it for you forty nine
at your officials, Severe weather station News Radio seven forty
k TRH. It's time down for the news. Here's Cliff Sounders.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
Thank you, Jimmy, and good morning everyone. Five oh two
on KTRH. Our top story here.
Speaker 6 (02:05):
In a long time, just trying to board her flight
to Portland.
Speaker 5 (02:09):
Yeah, that frustrated traveler venting on Facebook. Yesterday we saw
four and a half hour delays at the TSA line
at Bush yesterday. The shutdown in day thirty four in
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has a warning.
Speaker 7 (02:22):
If the government doesn't open in the next week or two,
we'll look back as these were the good days, not
the bad days.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
It's only going to get.
Speaker 8 (02:29):
Worse, Duffy on ABC.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Houston airports have not yet said how bad it could
get today now. Duffy has predicted a disaster for the
holiday travel season if the staffing issues continue.
Speaker 9 (02:40):
See if somebody's an essential worker, they need to get paid.
Speaker 5 (02:43):
Travel advisor Catherine Bank says to keep your travel plans
in don't panic yet. Those government workers are essential. We
all know that, but the shutdown has exposed that many others.
Speaker 8 (02:55):
Simply are not.
Speaker 10 (02:58):
While essential workers like military and air traffic controllers remain
on the job, so called non essential workers are at
home but will still be paid. Iowa Senator Jony Ernst
tells Bright Bart the price tag is adding up rapidly.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
By the day.
Speaker 11 (03:11):
We are eight point eight billion dollars into payment from
our taxpayers to people who have not been working. No
productivity for the federal government from these seven hundred and
fifty thousand workers.
Speaker 10 (03:27):
She says, when this is over, we need to re
examine the size of the federal workforce and how many
non essential workers we really need. Corey Jolson, who's radio
seven forty KTR eight.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
And after rulings from two judges to make November schnep payments,
the White House says the money to get that done
should start quote flowing by Wednesday. It's now five oh three.
Speaker 6 (03:46):
Have some of these raids gone too far?
Speaker 12 (03:48):
No?
Speaker 13 (03:49):
I think they haven't gone far enough because we've been
held back by the judges.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
Espresident I'm Trump on sixty minutes And speaking of those judges,
another one, this one actually a Trump appointee, temporarily extended
her order blocking the White House from deploying the National
Guard to Portland to protect ICE facilities and ICE agents.
The President is also threatening military action in Nigeria over
(04:13):
the spike in violence against Christians.
Speaker 14 (04:16):
Nigeria says it would welcome US help fighting against Islamic
insurgents as long as Washington respects it's sovereignty. It comes
after President Trump ordered the Pentagon to begin planning for
potential military action there. He claims the move is in
response to Christian persecution. Nigeria has been sending mixed messages
since Trump's announcement. Earlier, Beneficial emphasized the US cannot unilatterly
(04:40):
carry out any military operations inside Nigeria.
Speaker 8 (04:44):
Fox Is Ashley Stromayer there.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
The president also put a reporter on blast for asking
about potential strikes in Venezuela, saying if those plans existed,
they'd be secret. Meantime, and You Report claims that some
in the America First crowd think the president is spending
too much time on foreign affairs.
Speaker 15 (05:03):
Whether that's true or not is something of a different issue,
but it's the perception at this point. It's not as
though to have it been doing this. It's as much
a question of publicity as anything else, and really highlighting
that they are working on these issues.
Speaker 5 (05:16):
Ben Wheden with Justin News says the economy is still
the number one issue with the majority of voters five
h five Looking at your money down futures are up
forty eight points this morning to start the new month
of trading. As Minardi leader Hakim Jeffrey's claims that President
Trump quote got punked by China on the world stage
last week. The administration is not taking that sitting down.
Speaker 16 (05:39):
I think it's ignorant, and I think it's kind of
sad he has no idea how ignorant he is, because
I was in the room, and I can tell you
I was there for the present's entire trip and it
was a tour de force.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant on Fox News Sunday. Oil futures
this morning are up twenty three cents to sixty one
dollars a band our on as gasoline prices across Texas
are averaging two fifty five a gallon this morning. That's
down twenty two cents over the last month. And some
conservatives are not happy with Urkutt over what they're calling
(06:13):
an unauthorized state energy project.
Speaker 8 (06:16):
The operator of the state's.
Speaker 17 (06:17):
Power grid is moving forward with plans to string what
are called extra high voltage lines across the state. Urkott's
Christy Hobbs told the Public Utility Commission that they're needed
to keep up with wind and solar.
Speaker 18 (06:29):
Power so that we can reliably connect empower all a
little lowder that is seeking interconnection here in Urcott, but.
Speaker 17 (06:35):
The Texas Public Policy Foundation rights it will burden customers
for years without legislative or public consent. That group has
always had concerns about green energy and the upkeep cost
to customers.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
Katichs XO. It's the Houston Texans. Lou CJ. Stroud to
a concussion in the second quarter, they blow a fifteen
to seven lead and then lose to Denver eighteen to
fifteen on a last second field goal.
Speaker 8 (06:58):
Backup quarterback Davis Mills. It's a team had.
Speaker 19 (07:00):
Chances down to the one yard line like twice, red
zone four or five times, and got to come out
of those drives with touchdowns rather.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Than field goals.
Speaker 19 (07:10):
I mean, that's the biggest difference in the game.
Speaker 5 (07:12):
The team is three and five and they'll host Jacksonville
next weekend. I'm Cliff Saunders on Houston's news, weather and
traffic station, News Radio seven k TRH.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
More with Jimmy Barrett and the Houston Morning news teams.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
This is Houston's morning news. Nobody else fund It kind
of ironic that these things walk like a man, he
sounds like a girl. Or's it just me five away,
Good morning, Happy Monday. Didn't see many walkers Friday for Halloween.
I'm wondering if you've seen anything similar in your neighborhood.
(07:49):
I live close to a golf course, so actually there's
two golf courses very close to our house. So some
of my neighbors have golf carts which the kids will drive,
you know, drive to play around to golf. And you'll
see the kids sometimes on the weekend zooming around on
those things because everything. Evidently it's legal for them to
do it. Uh, but they certainly were employed Friday between
(08:13):
wagons getting pulled. And I get that for the little kids,
you know, the ones that are like four or five
years old, don't have a lot of stamina, probably never
leave the house with the exception of Halloween. What's this, Dad?
Is this? This is it's the outdoors. Sun, You're outdoors, breathe, breathe,
that clean Houston air. So the little ones. I get
(08:36):
the wagon pulling on the little ones. But some of
our neighbors have taken to putting together what I would
call a party bus where they have like like one
of them. Actually, one of our neighbors actually has a
float where they they've strung party lights on the float
and the adults and the kids all get into the
back of the float and the adults pretty much stay there.
(08:58):
I'm pretty sure there's there's wine and beer being consumed there.
And then they'll they'll they'll pull out to the street,
the kids will go to the houses, they'll come back,
they'll hop on and we'll go to where it is
they're going next. But more than ever before Friday, I
noticed that there were people who were chuffing their kids
in their car where they would literally park at the
(09:20):
end of the street or even or sometimes in the
middle of the street. The kids would get out, they
go to three or four houses, get back in the vehicle,
they'd go to the next stop. Kids would get out,
get to three or four houses, just like. Nobody walk anymore,
And we wonder why we have such a sedentary lifestyle.
These are kids. Shouldn't kids get out and walk. I mean,
(09:43):
maybe you should walk with them. I mean, it's not
going to hurt you to walk, right, nobody walks anymore.
Bad has something to do with all these trigger treaders
who end up going to these parking lots, trunk or
treating right where they're getting the candy out of the
back of somebody's trunk and they're not used to walking
around going to houses in anymore. The other thing I
know is they won't come to your house if they
(10:04):
if they don't know exactly who you are. You could
have we were passing out the full sized candy bars.
But we would see you know routine, these see groups
with young kids that would skip the house up. We
don't know who lives there. Better we better not stop there,
and they might have razor blades. Is that what's going on?
Safety concerns? I don't know, but a lot of walking.
That's not very little walking. You should say five to
(10:25):
ten times for traffic and weather together.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
You don't want to walk around my neighborhood.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
I didn't see one kid who reminded me of me,
and I get my whole bunch of candy because he
had a pillowcase. He was he was trick or treating
with a pillow case. I said, that's how we used
to do it back in the day. Said, here you go,
take some more candy. You're getting this tashed. I don't know, Jimmy,
you don't want to walk around in my neighborhood.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
That's kind of a zombie thing. Let's look at this
too eighty eight.
Speaker 20 (10:52):
Deal?
Speaker 4 (10:52):
What are we doing here at to eighty eight? Oh
my gosh, look at that. That's multiple vehicles. It's hard
to tell by the receipt here what's going on. Let
me check in with Jump and Joe. You know what.
He's a fireman and he can usually tell by what
they respond with, you know what they're doing. How serious
this deal is. It's looking pretty serious for what I
can see. Northbound. They've shut down all the lanes to
(11:15):
eighty eight at Belfort and we've got all these lights
all over. Oh, they're letting somebody through on the left lane.
Now my question is are they letting people through just
to bleed the backup or and they're about to shut
it down completely, or can they work with what they've got.
I'm I'm really fifty to fifty. Let's reroute to eighty eight.
If you've got a better shot on the Fort Mental Way,
(11:37):
maybe even thirty five up through Alvin, do that instead,
because this backup's getting pretty smoochy. Might be there for
a while, too eighty eight. It's all I need to
talk about this morning. I'm in the Generator Supercenter dot
Com Traffic Center from r KTRH tom Tax defenders twenty
four are whether center.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
Terry Smith is here enjoyed fall over the weekend, But
it looks like Boll's gonna maybe take a step back
this week.
Speaker 21 (11:58):
It's gonna take us a little while, but the temperatures
are going to be gradually getting warmer and it won't
feel very fall like by the end of the week.
The southerly winds are kicking in and the heat and
humidity is on its way.
Speaker 8 (12:12):
But today it is very pleasant.
Speaker 21 (12:15):
Right now, it's going to be a comfortable afternoon as well,
middupper seventies and temperatures at night for the most part
of the fifties, so a nice fall like night, middupper
seventies tomorrow. But Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, every day gets
a little bit warmer. There's no rain. There's no rain
all week long. It's just sunshine, so good to get outside.
(12:36):
Upper seventies to low eighties Wednesday, low to mid eighties Thursday,
and by Friday we're in the middubber eighties. It's like,
you know, a little bit of summer warmth is.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Back, okay right now forty nine at your official severe
weather station, News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 8 (12:56):
Live near Sharfstown.
Speaker 22 (12:57):
Reliable KTRH traffic and weather. Next on the ten.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Oh my turn five twenty one now here in Houston's
warning news coming up in just a moment. Here President
Trump on sixty minutes talking about a whole variety of
things last night. One of them was the deal with China.
He got real pretty good on that one. We'll have
more information for you in just a moment. First, we've
got traffic and weather together as we check out the
drive once again near you skuy Mike, Oh, there, I
(13:24):
am too.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
I'm doing it too, Jimmy two eighty eight at Belfort
and norngebound. I don't like the way this is looking.
All lanes are blocks here and it sure looks like
nothing good's going on. So what we're doing as we've
closed off the whole freeway, this has now become let's
get a digital Sorry, I'm working at the same time.
This is twelve extra minutes on the northbound, which doesn't
sound that big, but I have a feeling it's about
(13:46):
to get worse, and I think it may stay there
for quite a while. If we could re route. I
like the Fort Minto way. I know a lot of
folks have jumped on five twenty one. There might be
something good to eat down there, but five twenty one
get around that. If you have two thirty five is better.
Just think this will be shut down for a while.
We'll keep an eye Skymike on a Generator Supercenter dot
com traffic center.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
From our KTRH top tax defenders twenty four hour weather

tomorrow and then Wednesday sunshine with the high temperature of
eighty three. Right now forty nine at your official severe

Here's Clive, Thank you, Jimmy.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
You know one of the things that dates, one of
the many things that date sixty minutes is just this open.
Who has a stop watch that makes that noise anymore?
Everything's digital except for our core sixty minutes five twenty
three now here in Houston's Point News. President drop on
sixty minutes last night getting asked about the trade deal
with China.
Speaker 6 (15:33):
What did you get out of this deal that you wanted?
Speaker 13 (15:36):
Well, I got sort of everything that we wanted. We
got no rare earth threat that's gone, completely gone. We
have tremendous amounts of dollars pouring in because we have
very big tariffs, almost fifty percent.
Speaker 12 (15:56):
We never had anything in terms of.
Speaker 13 (15:58):
Tariffs, although I put tariffs, but Biden let it lapsed
by the fact that he gave exemptions on almost everything,
which was just ridiculous. But we have billions and billions
of dollars coming in and we have a very good relationship.
I mean, we have a great relationship with a powerful country.
(16:18):
And I've always felt if we can make deals that
are good, it's better to get along with China than not.
If you can't make the right kind of a deal,
than not, because you know, China, along with many other countries,
they're not alone in this.
Speaker 12 (16:29):
They've ripped us off from day one.
Speaker 13 (16:31):
They've ripped us so much, they've taken trillions of dollars
out of our country. And now they're the opposite. I mean,
we're doing very well with China, and hopefully they're going
to do very well with us. But I do think
it's important that China and the US get along, and
we get along very well.
Speaker 24 (16:49):
At the top, this trade war, though, was hurting Americans.
I mean, are soybean farmers. China had stopped buying the soybeans.
China was withholding these rare earth material that you need
for everything from smartphones to build submarines.
Speaker 6 (17:05):
What was the crucial thing? I mean, how tough of
a negotiations hurting.
Speaker 12 (17:08):
It was a temporary hurt.
Speaker 13 (17:09):
It was a hurt because I was taking in a
lot of money from China. We were doing very well
against China, and all of a sudden they said, you know,
we have to fight back, and so they use their powers.
The power they have is rare earth because of the
fact that they've been accumulating it and really taking care
of it for a period of twenty five thirty years.
Other countries haven't. They use that against us, and we
(17:33):
used other things against them, for instance, aeroplane parts. That's
a big deal. They have hundreds of Boeing airplanes. We
wouldn't give them parts. We were both acting maybe a
little bit irrationally, but the big thing we had was tariff's.
Speaker 12 (17:47):
Ultimately, I said, look.
Speaker 13 (17:49):
If you don't open up, then what we're going to
do is we're going to oppose one hundred percent tariff
over and above what you're already paying. And as soon
as I said that, they came to the table in
South Korea, as you saw, a lot of people watched,
and we made a really good deal and it was
good for them also, I hope, I mean, I want
(18:10):
up to be good for both sides.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
Okay, Well, time will tell, just like time will tell
all close to the deal, the Chinese actually are because
as you know, they have a tendency to steal stuff
from us, and that probably is not going to change.
Five twenty six, It is time to take a look
at your money as we check in with Courtney Donahoe.
Speaker 25 (18:29):
Good morning. Energy Giant.
Speaker 26 (18:31):
BP promised a reset of its business in February after
years of underperformance. To win back investors, the company has
agreed to sell steaks in a number of shale assets
in the US for one and a half billion dollars
to investment firm sixth Street. BP has pledged to divest
twenty billion dollars of assets by the end of twenty
twenty seven. Turning to trading, stocks are heading for a

the jobs report the first Friday of the month, but
we will be missing out on that for a second

Five thirty is our time here on Houston's Morning News.
I'm Jimmy Barrett Bunger. Tough stories this fur It's election
day tomorrow. All eyes on Virginia and New Jersey. Seven
percent of us have turned out to vote early. That's
not very many people. And coming up at five thirty eight,
the FBI says it boiled a terrace plot in Michigan.
The attorneys say it's just a big misunderstanding details in
(20:12):
the minutes ahead. You're in Houston's Morning News. First, we're
checking out that Morning Drive again. But Sky Mike, sorry
about the squeak there.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
All right, we're looking at two eighty eight northbound Belford.
Is that all lanes closer? Did they just clear this?
Speaker 27 (20:24):
All right?
Speaker 4 (20:25):
We're double checking. They're looking from the backside here. I'm

right about seventy. We'll get Terry Smith back in here
in about nine minutes with an update on the forecast.
The current temperature still forty nine at your official severe
weather station, News Radio seven forty k TRH. It's time
now for the news. Here's Cliff Saunders.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
Hey you, Jimmy five thirty one on KTRH. Our top story.
Democrats apparently feeling the heat in two of the key
races that will be decided tomorrow, so they turned to
somebody that hasn't been in office for almost a decade
to help get the vote out.
Speaker 23 (21:29):
They had not put forward serious proposals to lower housing
costs or made groceries more affordable. There is absolutely no
evidence the Republican policies.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
That made life better.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
Former President Barack Obama campaigning in Virginia and New Jersey,
he did not campaign with New York City mayoral candidate
and socialists or on Mom Donnie. He also has an
officially endorsed Mom Donnie, and by the way you polling
in New York suggests that Mom Donnie's lead over Andrew
Cuomo is now in the single digits. That said, if
(22:01):
Mom Donnie wins, it'll likely be because of young voters.
Speaker 30 (22:05):
And it has many asking why are young people so
attracted to socialism.
Speaker 31 (22:11):
For a lot of people that have not seen how
bad the socialism the communists pipeline gets, it can sound
really appealing to have all these problems solved for you.
Speaker 30 (22:19):
That's Hannah Beth Jones, vice chair of the Texas Young Republicans.
Speaker 31 (22:24):
Ronald Regan said, freedom is never more than one generation
away from extinction, and that's certainly a battle today that
we have to fight and remind people about American exceptionalism.
Speaker 30 (22:33):
Which has led to a majority of young conservatives here
in Texas Chuff Biggs News Radio seven forty k Thiery.
Speaker 5 (22:41):
And closer to home, only one point three million Texans
took part in early voting, according to the Secretary of State.
That is just seven percent of the state's nearly nineteen
million registered voters. Governor Greg Gabbott once again is clashing
with some of his conservative base, trying to rally support
for a proposed billion dollar water project that's on the
(23:03):
ballot tomorrow to.
Speaker 17 (23:05):
Ensure a water supply for far more than the next
twenty five years.
Speaker 5 (23:09):
That's facing pushback from grassroots groups like the Texas Eagle Forum,
asking voters to reject the proposition, calling it an invitation
for abuse. That issue just isn't as sexy as next
year Senate race, though, with a call for a debate
coming from one of the challengers to incumbent John Cornyn.
Speaker 32 (23:28):
Congressman Wesley Hunt is trying to get publicity for his
fledgling Senate campaign by challenging both the incumbent John Cornyan
and Ken Paxton to a debate. Texas GP strategist Vinie
Michello thinks there is a chance that Paxton might agree let.
Speaker 28 (23:41):
Wisley hunt, you know, care into John Cornyn. In fact,
the two of them would probably gang up on John
Cordy in a debate.
Speaker 32 (23:47):
But as for Cornan, he says there's no chance. There's
still plenty of time. The primary is not until March,
and with President Trump not yet making an endorsement, a
lot can change.
Speaker 8 (23:56):
That's kgrh's Michael Bourd. It's now five point thirty four.
Speaker 5 (23:59):
We're keeping inn on the situation at Bush and Hobby
this morning after the nightmare that was this weekend. Nearly
four and a half hour long waits at the TSA
checkpoint at Bush last night, all connected to the federal
government Schumer shut down. Now in day thirty four, right now,
all the airports you're saying, is a arrive for your
flights early. The delays are due to staffing, which could
(24:22):
have been solved by seven Democrats a long time ago.
Speaker 33 (24:27):
Democrats have voted fourteen times now Shannon, to keep the
government closed.
Speaker 8 (24:30):
Fourteen times.
Speaker 33 (24:31):
They had the opportunity to have snap benefits flow, to
let air traffic controllers be paid to take care of
all these problems and pay the troops, and they said.
Speaker 5 (24:38):
No, our speaker Mike Johnson on Fox Democrats would rather
play politics with the whole thing. One of them is
California Governor Gavin Newsom, who's admitted to having his eye
on the White House in twenty twenty eight.
Speaker 12 (24:50):
I mean, right now, we have a crisis of democracy.
This guy.
Speaker 6 (24:53):
It's no longer the rule of law.
Speaker 4 (24:54):
It's the rule of dawn.
Speaker 22 (24:55):
He's testing every theory.
Speaker 8 (24:57):
Do some un meet the press on NBC.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
Democrats are also avoiding any talk whatsoever about Joe Biden's
auto pen scandal, as conservatives call for prosecutions.
Speaker 34 (25:10):
It's documented Biden was president by committee with underlings taking
executive actions.
Speaker 35 (25:15):
That is an absolute violation of the constitutional idea that
one person, one vote, one individual elected to serve as
the commander in chief.
Speaker 34 (25:26):
Matt Kittle of the Federalists says the time for investigating
is done, and it's time for accountability. And if anyone
can do that, it's the Trump administration.
Speaker 35 (25:34):
We've seen substantially more accountability, or at least some movement
toward accountability.
Speaker 34 (25:40):
He says, there's strong enough evidence to indict right now.
Andre Parard News Radio seven forty KT right.
Speaker 5 (25:46):
Five thirty six, Texas A and M announces their top
three candidates for a top VP position. But here's the problem.
All of them have a DEI history. Christian Collins with
Texas Youth, Summon says, the university's committee continues to push
a woke agenda that includes zero conservative views.
Speaker 36 (26:05):
They're hell bent on deconstructing everything that you've got them,
the Christian worldview that you've taught them. Their whole bent
is the deconstruct Christianity.
Speaker 8 (26:13):
He says.
Speaker 5 (26:14):
The DEI agenda violates Texas law signed into law by
Governor Ampitt. In twenty twenty three, The Aggies remained ranked
number three in the latest AP Top twenty five College football.
Paul UT moved up seven spots to number thirteen after
beating Vanderbilt. UH dropped out after losing to West Virginia,
and the Rockets host Dallas tonight at six thirty on
(26:36):
Sports Talk seven ninety. I'm Cliff Saunders on Houston's news,
weather and traffic station News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 12 (26:44):
Let's become a big story.
Speaker 37 (26:45):
Big things are happening. Huge check in for the latest
dog government shutdown, big fighting compact. We use radio seven
forty KTRH. So Dearborn Michigan. You've probably heard me talk
about Dearborn Michigan before. Wife is from Dearborn.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
The population about one hundred and twenty thousand people make
home there's just outside of Detroit about fifty four point
according to the twenty twenty census, about fifty four point
five percent of the city's residents or of Arab descent.
It is the largest air of American population outside of
the Middle East, congregated in one relatively small area. So
(27:25):
when we heard on Friday that the EPNI had foiled
a terrorist plot for some sort of a Halloween attack
and it involved Dearborn Michigan, that was not surprise to
either of us, certainly, because that if there's going to
be somebody there with the Islamic tendencies or with Islamic
(27:47):
terrorist sympathies, it's going to be in Dearborn. And sure enough,
that's what happened. They arrested five six people in conjunction
with this. What's interesting now is that the attorneys for
the men arrested are now coming forward saying whoa, whoa,
wait this is you better make sure you know what
(28:07):
you're talking about these guys. They don't have any ties
to terrorist organizations. They weren't plotting the serve of attack.
This is just a big old misunderstanding. Here's the report
from Fox Too in Detroit.
Speaker 38 (28:20):
I can tell you we just met with one of
the attorneys at their offices behind me here in Dearborn,
and the first thing that they said is that their
group is innocent. In fact, they haven't even seen any
charges at all. But let's take a look at that
FBI activity that was happening on Friday. Now, the FBI
Terrorism Task Force conducted operations at locations in Dearborn and
(28:41):
in Inkster Friday morning. FBI Director Cash Hotel stated on
social media that the FBI thwarted a possible terrorist plot
in Michigan. Local FBI could not confirm if the activity
in Dearborn or Inkster was connected to the online social
media posts. Nevertheless, several people were arrested. One of the
attorney It's Husaying Bozzie of Hallmackled in Dearborn, says five
(29:03):
individuals were involved. Not all are in custody, but all
of them, he says, are innocent.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
I hope these individuals are released.
Speaker 39 (29:11):
The ones that are in custody, and I hope the
ones that are out of custody don't face any charges.
And I hope that frankly, the government learns that they
shouldn't be too quick to release certain statements that are
detrimental to the reputation of individuals and communities. The individuals
involved are innocent, their family members are innocent, and more
information that comes to light hopefully be favorable to them.
Speaker 38 (29:33):
Now this is that social media posts the statement that
director cash Hotel made on x on Friday morning about
the arrest and alleged quote plotting of a violence attack,
and he says that more details to come, and he
thanked the FBI for their.
Speaker 8 (29:48):
Efforts that day.
Speaker 38 (29:49):
Now, we've also reached out to the FBI just for
an update on the case, and they say, right now,
there is no update.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
So that's all we really know for now. It sounds
like there was some sort of a social media threat
involving some of these individuals. That's when the FBI rated
the home the homes of some of these people and
made the arrest. We don't know if it's just based
on that social media threat or if they actually have
found any sort of evidence that there was some sort
(30:18):
of a terrorist plot underway by forty one.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Time for going to enrich some crops with all this
fertilizer and put on a nice fireworks show for the children.
What you got, st Mike clear to eighty eight Belford,
That was out of the way. No one is more
surprised than I am that that wreck looked so serious.
They had blocked all the lanes for a little bit
(30:41):
maybe a little bit of a fuel spill, but they
didn't take very long. That's about as fast as I've
ever seen something that serious looking clear. So it's too
eighty eight and looks like this smunch is we're still
looking at an extra let me get a digital here. Sorry,
that's an extra ten minutes on the up. I think
that's from a couple of minutes ago, and that back
is getting better. Let's I'm gonna stick my neck out,

skuy Mike.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
We got a stalled looks.
Speaker 4 (31:08):
Like a tanker left bowl lane at itself on the
six ten ship channel breeze. All right, thank you so much.
Oh you've got to say your name and represent your neighborhood.
Donnie from Crosby.
Speaker 40 (31:18):
Dude, got Mike coming off a highway now on the
sixty ten south bound, there's the bridge, there's a fuel tanker,
and the left hand shoulder helping some way change the tire.
So you're aware there could be a fireball waiting to happen.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
No, we don't need that, Terry, you're hazardous.
Speaker 22 (31:34):
Listen.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
You can't use your vehicle as lane protection. I know
everyone's just trying to be helpful. I'm not sure that's
the case. That might just be a minor accent. Otherwise,
as Donnie says, it could be a fireball.
Speaker 8 (31:48):
I'm a a generator supercenter dot com traffic center.

But you think I don't know bodn g'ar it to you.
Speaker 4 (31:58):

but I don't hang out places the pit Bull place,

And we've got two more days where the temperatures are
just really comfortable, the humidities in check, and then it
starts to heat up, and it'll Mother Nature is.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
Being kind of us.
Speaker 21 (32:45):

security now? Does terminals A and E. I believe that
those are the only two that are open at the
staffing issue you have TSA federal employees, Air Traffic Control
federal employees. It was fugly at the airport over the weekend.
Here's the report from k h o U eleven.
Speaker 42 (35:38):
Behind me is the lines for security coming out of
the doors of Terminal E at Bush Airports. Passengers that
we spoke with frustrated with the impacts of the ongoing
government shutdown.
Speaker 43 (35:50):
What comes to mind, frankly, it's just two people are
fighting over probably politically, and this is the victim the public.
Speaker 42 (36:03):
Niil Tanira saw this line outside of Terminal E and
decided it wasn't worth the effort. He missed his flight.
Others say passenger patients was wearing thin.
Speaker 38 (36:14):
I don't walk past people fighting plussing each other out
is crazy.
Speaker 42 (36:20):
I wish I was upstates Tamisia Diggs is downstairs where
the line began for security in Terminal A.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
This is insane. I mean it looks like I will
miss my fly.
Speaker 42 (36:32):
That was the case for Urana Nance, who trekked from
Terminal A to Terminal E in hopes of boarding a
flight home to Detroit.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
I finally go over the ear and is catastrophic.
Speaker 42 (36:43):
Instead of flying home, she's planning to stay overnight at
Bush Airport. With Hope's conditions improved, the Houston Airport system
saying wait times could exceed three hours while the shutdown continues.
Its own staff trying to help TSA workers move passengers safely, for.
Speaker 8 (36:58):
Communication, other issues going on.
Speaker 44 (37:01):
But I do understand, you know the shortage of staff
and the why.
Speaker 6 (37:04):
But it's just very inconvenient for all passengers.
Speaker 42 (37:07):
Passengers are hoping anyone can intervene to fix a flying fiasco.
Speaker 43 (37:12):
My only hope the authority, the governor here, he has
to call in the TSA people to come in and
open up more DSA and trans as.
Speaker 42 (37:21):
The Houston Airport System is asking passengers to build an
extra time if you do plan on flying soon as
the government is expected to continue to be shut down.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
Well, there was a guy who obviously doesn't understand the
way government works. The governor has nothing to do with TSA.
TSA is a federal agency. The governor cannot call in
TSA workers. Yeah, I'm sorry, State of Texas cannot help
you with that. This is a federal issue. It's called
a government shutdown, and the Democrats need to open the
(37:52):
government back up so you can get back on your flight.

Speaker 8 (39:34):
Our top story this hour.
Speaker 5 (39:36):
President Trump, during his appearance on sixty Minutes last night,
hit back at accusations from the left that ice raids
had gone too far. He says, they haven't gone far enough.
Speaker 6 (39:47):
You're okay with those tactics.
Speaker 13 (39:49):
Yeah, because you have to get the people out, you know.
Speaker 12 (39:51):
You have to look at the people. Many of them
are murderers.
Speaker 13 (39:54):
Many of them are people that were thrown out of
their countries because they were, you know, criminals.
Speaker 5 (39:59):
And there's more judicial obstruction when it comes to this.
Another federal judge, this one actually an appointee of Trump's,
temporarily extended her order blocking the administration from sending the
National Guard into Portland to protect ice and ICE facilities
from Antifa attacks. On the international front, the President called
out a reporter for asking about potential strikes on Venezuela
(40:24):
against Narco terrorists.
Speaker 13 (40:26):
Supposing there were, would I say that to you honestly, Yes,
we have plans.
Speaker 8 (40:30):
We have we have very secret plans.
Speaker 12 (40:33):
We'll say that.
Speaker 5 (40:34):
Meantime, Trump is threatening military action in Nigeria over the
rise in violence against Christians. Trump's focus on foreign affairs,
which also includes the Middle East and Europe, is getting
some blowback from.
Speaker 30 (40:47):
Conservatives, something that Ben Whedon wrote about for Just.
Speaker 15 (40:52):
The News that he's focusing too much on things outside
of America's borders and not on the marquee issues really
ran on.
Speaker 30 (41:01):
He says, they want Trump to make America great again.
Speaker 15 (41:05):
The biggest drops are economy, economy, economy, and Americans are
ready to see the president in the United States talking
about these issues.
Speaker 30 (41:15):
Meanwhile, it's the Democrats who are keeping the government shut down.
Speaker 4 (41:20):
Jeff Biggs News Radio seven k ties.
Speaker 5 (41:23):
And because of that shutdown, this is insane. Yeah, that
frustrated traveler on X that man upset over a four
and a half hour weight on the TSA lineed Bush Intercontinental.
The airport anticipated three hour weight times because of staffing issues.
We're still waiting for word from Houston Airports this morning
(41:43):
about how long delays might be Meantime, Transportation Secretary Sean
Duffy says the delays could get worse as we get
closer to Thanksgiving without a solution to the shutdown. In fact,
the Vice President JD. Vance used the D word. He
talked about what we could see for Thanksgiving.
Speaker 45 (42:03):
As the government shut down moves into November. VP Vance
and Secretary Duffy are anticipating a quote disaster and aviation
this holiday season. Travel advisor Catherine Banks doesn't want travelers
feeling unsafe.
Speaker 29 (42:17):
They're not talking about like a mid air collision or
a frunway incursion or anything like that.
Speaker 9 (42:21):
They're talking about delays and slowdowns, which are very common.
Speaker 45 (42:25):
Banks is optimistic. There's a light at the end of
the tunnel.
Speaker 9 (42:29):
There's no way the government safe close to the rest
of the year.

I'm Erica Smith News Radio seven forty ktih Ay Time.
Speaker 5 (42:35):
Three quarters of a million non essential federal workers remain
at home while still in line for full back pay.
Iowa Senator Joni Ernst told Breitbart this is costing US
eight point eight billion dollars in counting.
Speaker 25 (42:49):
It's not really these employees fault.
Speaker 11 (42:50):
I would agree they need to be back paid, but
moving forward, we need to identify, then, out of all
of these non essential workers, how many of them do
we really need to keep on the federal government payroll.
Speaker 5 (43:02):
By the way, if you do the mathis comes out
to four hundred million dollars every day. The White House
also says the money to resume SNAP benefits should be
available why Wednesday, after two federal judges ruled on Friday
that those benefits must continue. Taking a look at your
money at six zero five dow futures are up this morning.
The new week of trading is on your way, and
(43:24):
the White House continues to promote the deal it just
made with China on rare earth minerals and fentanol.
Speaker 16 (43:30):
The Chinese have said that they will work on stopping
the flow of precursors to North America that flow into
Canada in New Mexico where they're made independent al killing
hundreds of thousand of US citizens, ruining families, ruining lives.
Speaker 5 (43:46):
Treasury Secretary Scott beschant On Fox New Sunday. Gasoline prices
across Texas or averaging two fifty five a gallon this morning.
That's down twenty two cents over the last month. Oil
futures have just taken a turn downward by fifty cents
to sixty dollars in eighty three cents a barrel. Urcott
is moving forward with its plans to string what are
called extra high voltage lines across the state, part of
(44:11):
a plan to keep up with growth.
Speaker 18 (44:12):
We've been growing two to three percent, but we've seen
our energy growth just in the last couple of years
more than double that.
Speaker 5 (44:19):
The plan's not sitting well with some conservatives. The Texas
Public Policy Foundation says it'll burden customers for years. Six
h six, the Houston Texans blew a fifteen to seven
lead and lost to Denver on a last second field
goal eighteen to fifteen.
Speaker 6 (44:34):
CJ.
Speaker 5 (44:34):
Stradd left the game with a concussion in the second quarter,
replaced by Davis Mills, who could not get the team
into the end zone.
Speaker 19 (44:41):
I think it's just we got to keep executing. Obviously,
a lot of props to that Denver defense. They have
a lot of good players on that side of the ball.
It was a challenge for us, but I mean, we
have a lot of guys on our team who are
fully capable of going out there and winning each play.
Speaker 8 (44:55):
The team hosts Jacksonville next Sunday.
Speaker 5 (44:57):
I'm Cliff Saunders on Houston's news Weather in traffic station

The Schumer shut Down, the events of the day gone Chicago,
violent crime every day, it is rumas peace.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
On news Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Six oh eight is our time here in Houston's boy News.
I feel the question of today coming on on this story,
and I'll let's get to the question here just a
second before is the story for you here? Not counting
the pandemic year of twenty twenty, the October twenty twenty
five box office, the month had just ended, earned just
four hundred and twenty five million dollars. That is the
(45:36):
worst October showing since nineteen ninety seven. But that's not
even really the case. When you get ready down to it,
it's it's far's that's almost thirty years ago, twenty eight
years ago. If you adjust for inflation, it's even crazier.
October of nineteen ninety seven, the gross was three hundred
and eighty five point two million, which is bad, But
(45:58):
if you adjust foreign flay, that number jumps to seven
hundred and seventy nine million, of seven hundred and seventy
nine million in today's dollars back in October of nineteen
ninety seven, compared to four hundred and fifty five point
six million in actual dollars. This four and twenty five million,
(46:18):
I should say this October. So that's almost half of
what it did in October of nineteen ninety seven. So
what is the problem. Well, I'm looking at his story
in Breitbart that says, no, you can make all excuses
you want for this, that, and the other. At the
end of the day, they're not making movies that you
(46:39):
want to go see. Tron, which was out recently. I
didn't realize there was another Tron film, but there is. It.
Flopped Springsteen, the movie about the biopic on Bruce Springstring, Flop,
The Smashing Machine, Flop, Black Phone two was the only
one of the films I'm talking about here they even
had modest success. Ain't sure what that film is. Bugonia, Flop,
(47:04):
Chain Saw a Man Flop, Roofman Flop. Let's see your
Kiss of the Spider one. They redid that thing that
was a flop the first time, flop again. So they're
not making movies that you want to go see. So
here's my question of today politics aside, When was the
last time you went to see a movie where you
(47:27):
actually sat down and watched the movie and you actually
enjoyed the movie and you thought it was worth the experience.
The last movie I saw was the Elton John biopic Rocketman.
And when was that out? That was out? It has
to be three or four years ago at this point, right,
that's the only movie I've seen in the eight plus
(47:51):
years I've been living in Houston. One time, you used
to go to the movies all the time, So what's
the last movie you saw in how long ago was it?
You go to the IHIER radio f KTRH, hit the
talkback button, first name where you're calling from. And if
you want to add why you aren't going to the
movies these days, that's fine. You can say it's politics
or of the actors, or it's just the junk that's
(48:14):
on the screen, or maybe it's just gotten too expensive.
Just let us know. Six to ten time for traffic
and weather together.
Speaker 4 (48:20):
Which they would bring back the drive in movie with
that horrible sound thing you put it in your window.
Speaker 3 (48:24):
I didn't watch any drive in movies. Id you just
go to the drive in the car windows were too
fogged up to see the movie?
Speaker 4 (48:31):
All right, all right, I would behave this time twin Ranch, Cleveland,
Texas after you went to Joy Juice. Terry, all right,
we've got we cleared the Hardy Tell Road and them
only check the digital on that real quick hearting toil
Rod in southbound. That cannot be right. It looks like
we're almost moving. All right, we're moving. Had a wreck
at cross Timbers. Stay the course, big shots, commenters. Now
(48:53):
you've flipped over to forty five. We've got backups from
west Road. Do we have our wreck at the Chefferd
Curve yet?
Speaker 3 (48:58):
Yes?
Speaker 8 (48:59):
We do?
Speaker 4 (48:59):
Get me Langag in the six twenty break. I'll be
right back at you. Of course, with the TSA issues,
we've had major problems trying to get into and out
of those airport terminals.
Speaker 8 (49:11):
Terry, cover your ears.
Speaker 4 (49:12):
Uber Mike says, airport is bart the big time capital
out and also, don't tell anybody, but you can hit
the Marriott and hit the tram over that way, and
we've got also on the north side. East Tech starting
to smuch up, coming down from the sticks right around Hopper.
Nothing big so far. Just to give your little patience here,
Oh the free iHeartRadio app Terry. Here, I'm gonna hit
(49:34):
this guy. This is Emmitt.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
I had to google that walls drive and then see
what fireball was. Oh my god, nos, fireball.
Speaker 4 (49:43):
He googled fireball, Terry. I'm in the Generator Supercenter dot
Com traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (49:48):
I guess now I'm gonna have to play that.
Speaker 4 (49:49):
I know you don't want to put from our KTRH
top tax A Venders twenty four hour Weather Center.
Speaker 3 (49:54):
Terry is here. You'll feel like a fireballs. The week
goes on, Summer's coming back.
Speaker 8 (50:00):
Definitely is what the hey, what what the hey?
Speaker 25 (50:03):
I know, what the hey, It's November.
Speaker 8 (50:06):
Mother nature is so messed up. Well, here's the deal.
Speaker 21 (50:09):
We have some fall like weather, comfortable weather today and tomorrow.
Then the heat and humidity gradually start to ramp up.
Speaker 25 (50:16):
There's no rain through Friday.
Speaker 21 (50:18):
Today and tomorrow lo to mid seventies, Wednesday near eighty,
Thursday's warmer load to mid eighties and Friday. I'm thinking
somewhere between eighty four, eighty five and eighty nine degrees.
Speaker 8 (50:31):
Let's just keep it under ninety okay.
Speaker 3 (50:33):
Yeah, please right now forty nine at your officials, severe
weather station, News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 41 (50:40):
Accidents and alternate next on the ten one seven KTRH.
Speaker 3 (50:45):
So, we saw this story about Americans wanting President Trump
to come back home to focus on domestic issues. And
I assume by focusing on domestic issues, what they really
mean is come back home in this Gyman shutdown, as
if somehow he could and the government shutdown. We have
(51:05):
to have some cooperation from Democrats in order for that
to happen, and right now that still is just not happening.
More than that story coming up next. First though, traffic
and weather together, and that starts with you sky Bank.
Speaker 4 (51:16):
Oh let's be short, Jimmy. That's forty five Nord Freeway.
Now I've got it coming and going inbound. That's direct
before the CHEPPERD curve outbound. Guess where CHEPPERD curve will
zoom and gets you some laneage at six thirty and
the Generator Supercenter dot Com Traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (51:30):
From r KTRH Top Tax Defenders twenty four hour Weather
Center for today sonny mild right about seventy seven, mainly
sunny and mild again tomorrow seventy seven, then Wednesday sunny
and warmer eighty two. We could be in the mid
town for eighties before the week is over. Right now,
we're looking at forty nine at your officials severe weather station,
(51:50):
News Radio seven forty KTRH. Just check out some more
of our top stories this morning. Here's Cliff.
Speaker 5 (51:55):
The only thing I went from the eighties is and music.
At this point headline sponsored by National Land Partners. Don't
look down, but the key races in New Jersey and
Virginia are no longer the Democrat locks we thought they were.
President Trump says his tariffs are critical to national security.
And on this day in nineteen forty eight, we all
have seen this picture. The Chicago Tribune declared Dewey defeats
(52:19):
Truman that in fact never happened. At the latest news
anytime at KTRH dot com. Our next update is at
six thirty.
Speaker 12 (52:27):
The countries are going to have Rump shut down.
Speaker 21 (52:29):
Antifa would be Trump ass and Ryan Ruth guilty.
Speaker 3 (52:32):
On its always something I forgive him.
Speaker 1 (52:35):
On News Radio seven KTRH all right, So.
Speaker 3 (52:40):
We're into month number two now that the government shutdown.
The airports are mess. We've been talking all morning about
Bush four and a half hour wait and getting through
tsa lines around the block, traffic snarls everywhere. It's funny
because I said last week, you're gonna wish you you know,
you're gonna wish you didn't have a trip booked. I didn't.
(53:00):
I thought that would be for Thanksgiving, our Christmas. I
didn't think it would get that bad, this bad, this quickly,
but it has, and it is happening right now. I
hope you don't have a trip book because this is
no fun to try to get anywhere. And that doesn't
even take into consideration air traffic control. So evidently a
lot of folks want President Trump to step in and
do something. Just do something, President Trump last night on
(53:20):
sixty minutes talking about the government shutdown.
Speaker 24 (53:23):
Mister President, we've talked about foreign policy, and now let's
focus on issues here at home. Some of that you
have already mentioned. We are now approaching the longest shutdown
in American.
Speaker 6 (53:34):
History democribs world under your presidency.
Speaker 24 (53:37):
We're talking about more than a million federal workers who
are not getting a paycheck, including our air traffic controllers.
You see there's traffic snarls out at the airports now.
This weekend, food aid for more than forty two million
Americans is set to expire. What are you doing as
president to end the shutdown?
Speaker 12 (53:56):
Well, we're doing is we keep voting.
Speaker 13 (53:58):
I mean that Republicans are voting almost unanimously to end it,
and the Democrats keep voting against ending it. You know,
they've never had this, This has happened like eighteen times
before that Democrats always voted for an extension, always saying,
give us an extension, we'll work it out. They've lost
their way, they become crazed lunatics, and all they have
(54:19):
to do, Nora is say let's vote and you can
open the economy could open up.
Speaker 22 (54:25):
During our interview, is there something you do?
Speaker 6 (54:28):
Is there something you.
Speaker 12 (54:30):
Facts? Here's what I can't do.
Speaker 13 (54:32):
I can't give them a trillion and a half dollars
so that they can give welfare to people that came
into our country illegally, so that prisoners and that people
from mental institutions and people that are drug dealers get
vast amounts of money for health care.
Speaker 12 (54:48):
That I can't do.
Speaker 13 (54:50):
What I can do is I can continue to run
a great country. We have the best economy we've ever had.
I can continue to do that. What they should do. Look,
this started a long time ago. I always said, and
you know, I've been very consistent, Obamacare is terrible. It's
bad health care at far too high a price.
Speaker 12 (55:11):
We should fix that.
Speaker 13 (55:13):
We should fix it, and we can fix it with
the Democrats. All they have to do is let the
country open, and we'll fix it. But they have to
the country and I'll sit down with the Democrats and
we'll fix it. But they have to let the country
and you know what they have to do. All they
have to do is raise five hands. We don't need
all of them.
Speaker 24 (55:30):
But so you're saying your plan is to tell the
Democrats to vote to end the shutdown and that you
will put forward a health care plan.
Speaker 13 (55:39):
No, we will work on fixing the bad health care
that we have.
Speaker 12 (55:42):
Right now.
Speaker 13 (55:43):
We have terrible health care at too expensive for the people,
not for the government, for the people.
Speaker 6 (55:49):
You've been talking about fixing the healthcare and.
Speaker 13 (55:52):
You can't do it because of the Democrats since fifteen.
I've been talking about it for a long time. We
almost did it. We were one vote short. We would
have had great health care. Here, we were one vote short,
and a couple of senators that we currently have made
the mistake, and they made a big mistake. John McCain
made a mistake. Frankly, we were one vote short. We
would have had great health care. And I've been saying
(56:14):
ever since, we can fix it. It's got two things.
It's too expensive and it's lousy healthcare. It's too expensive
for the people. They're going to get a very big
increase this year.
Speaker 24 (56:26):
Well they're going to get anustry coach if they don't.
If you don't extend the subsidies.
Speaker 13 (56:30):
No, no, But the subsidies is part of it. We're
supposed to spend trillions of dollars to take care of
something that is defective. What I'm saying is we can
make it much less expensive for people and give them
much better healthcare.
Speaker 3 (56:46):
The answer is not the subsidies, you liberal moron. It's
it's horrible health care, and without the subsidies, it's super expensive.
That's what he's trying to say. Open the government will
think healthcare. But Democrats don't want to fix healthcare. They
want people dependent on things like subsidies, and they want
(57:07):
people that you and I don't want to get the
benefits to get the benefits AKA people here illegally. Six
twenty seven. Let's keep looking at your money. Here's Courtney Donajoe.
Speaker 25 (57:19):
Good morning.
Speaker 26 (57:19):
It's a big boost to the Texas Stock Exchange as
it's getting ready to fight for a piece of the

It's election day tomorrow, all eyes on Virginia and New

(58:20):
and for a lot of you, it's been a while.
First of all, let's check out that morning drive, sky Mike.
Speaker 9 (58:25):
What do you have.
Speaker 4 (58:25):
I've got some popcorn on the North Freeway southbound.
Speaker 22 (58:28):
Aha.
Speaker 4 (58:29):
I knew we had some langage here. This is a
rerecor at the Shepherd Curve. I we'll take two laft
lines ambulances on the scene. Man, there's about a four
to five minutes southbound s much. It's getting worse. Big
shots jump on the Hardy Tell Road plus outbound. Looks
like they ninjaed that wreck just right before Parker. This
is still forty five, but it's a big old back
order slip on forty five between Parker and Tidwell. Outbound.

Speaker 8 (59:13):
Thank you, Jimmy.
Speaker 5 (59:13):
It's six point thirty two in our top story tomorrow
Election Day. Yes, it's an off year election, but there
are several key races, including the New Jersey governors race.
Speaker 41 (59:22):
We're matching them man for man, woman for woman, because
if that's the case when we go into election day,
we're gonna be a really great shape.
Speaker 5 (59:28):
Republican Jack Chitarelli is closed to within one point of
Democrat Mikey Cheryl in New York City. Socialist zoron Mom
Donnie's lead over Andrew Cuomo is apparently down to seven points.
Curtis Sliwa the Republican could make a difference if he
dropped out, but.
Speaker 22 (59:47):
I stand I fight, fight, fight, fight, That's the Republican way.
Speaker 8 (59:52):
Sleiwa on Fox.
Speaker 5 (59:54):
Former President Barack Obama, who campaigned for Democrats in Virginia
and New Jersey this weekend, as yet to campaign with
Mom Donnie or endorse him. However, Yes spoken with him
behind the scenes. According to reports, at the left is
leading on young voters to push socialism in New York City.
Is no surprise, but Hannabeth Jones, the vice chair of
(01:00:15):
the Texas Young Republicans, says, more young people are becoming conservative.
Speaker 31 (01:00:20):
Because they've made the switch for being liberal to being
conservative because they found out that there are really good
conservative solutions to the issues that they're worried about that
they thought socialism could help solve. But they're now seeing that, like, actually,
the free market is the best way for me to
have a successful life.
Speaker 5 (01:00:35):
Unfortunately, there are still young people on the left who
believe that the government will give them everything for free.
Here at home, only one point three million Texans participated
in early voting.
Speaker 4 (01:00:46):
You do the math.
Speaker 5 (01:00:47):
We have almost nineteen million registered voters. That's seven percent,
and Texans will be deciding on a key infrastructure issue tomorrow.
Speaker 44 (01:00:56):
Governor Abbott is rallying support for a proposed billion dollar
fund that will secure more water for the state as
a way to keep up with growth.
Speaker 4 (01:01:05):
Population growth, are business growth for everything that we need.
Speaker 44 (01:01:08):
It's facing pushback though, from grassroots groups like the Texas
Eagle Forum. The Forum is asking voters to reject the proposition,
saying it's an invitation for abuse. They argue that infrastructure
projects should be funded on an as needed basis to
provide transparency, oversight, and accountability.
Speaker 5 (01:01:28):
Ktrh's Beth Buyers. Congressman Wesley Hunt is trying to get
publicity for his Senate campaign next year by challenging John
Cornon and Ken Paxt into a debate.
Speaker 8 (01:01:38):
Experts say it's a smart move.
Speaker 28 (01:01:41):
A debate for Wesley Hunt puts him on the same
level as those two candidates.
Speaker 5 (01:01:45):
Republican strategist Vin Vinnie Minchilo says he doubts Corny and
will take debate. Buddy thinks Paxton might is a way
to team up with Hunt to bash corn It coming
up on six thirty five. We are watching the situation
at Bush and Hobby airports this morning after this weekend's nightmare.
Some people waited about five hours at the TSA line
(01:02:06):
at Bush. You can thank the Democrats for the shutdown.
It's in its thirty fourth day right now. All the
airports are telling us is to arrive for your flight early.
The delays, well, they're due to the staffing issues which
could have been solved by Senate Democrats a long time ago.
But they have voted fourteen times to keep the government closed.
Speaker 4 (01:02:26):
I feel like the Democrats really need to own the.
Speaker 5 (01:02:28):
Shutdown, Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman on CNN. Fetterman isn't the
only one who is frustrated. The president is too.
Speaker 13 (01:02:36):
We have voted fourteen times to open the country, and
they vote to keep it close.
Speaker 47 (01:02:41):
All they have to do is vote to open the
country and we only need five Democrats.
Speaker 8 (01:02:46):
Trump on Air Force one. By the way, he was
on CNN.
Speaker 5 (01:02:49):
The unedited seventy three minute video is on our Facebook
and X page right now. Democrats won't compromise, let alone
touch the ongoing Biden autopen scandal. Some say it's time
to indict and prosecute. Matt Kittle of The Federalist says,
the use of the auto pen has been documented and
blatantly violates our constitution.
Speaker 35 (01:03:10):
Not only did they break the law, but in a
number of cases they were involved in what could be
described as a soft coup. All of these bogus, politically
driven investigations, one might even call them legal insurrections. All
of this stuff is happening.
Speaker 5 (01:03:28):
It's now seven thirty six. The more things change, the
more they stay the same. Texas A and M is
getting called out over DEI again for naming three vice
president finalists with DEI backgrounds.
Speaker 45 (01:03:39):
The three candidates are Ohio University's Cynthia Carnes, Angela Wilson
from Michigan State, and Arizona State's Laura Ferry. Christian Collins,
president of the Youth Summit, says none of Texas taxpayer
dollars should support these people.
Speaker 36 (01:03:54):
It's a worker indocrination and they're going to push this
through their professors.
Speaker 45 (01:04:00):
He says nothing seems to change for those who break
the law banning DEI agendas.
Speaker 36 (01:04:05):
Got to be some mechanisms in place where we can
home these teachers accountable.
Speaker 45 (01:04:10):

Speaker 3 (01:04:42):
Six thirty eight Our time here in Houston's forty News.
So October box office month. Just out of October twenty
twenty five, box office has set a record for one
of the worst months in modern cinematic history. Last time
it was this low was in October of nineteen ninety seven.
But if you had just it for inflation, it's even lower.
(01:05:02):
Breitbart did a story where they say, well, we've heard
all the excuses. Right post COVID, you could stream things,
you don't have to go to the movie theater anymore.
But their premise is that's not the problem. The problem
is the content. The problem is they're not producing movies
you want to see. So therefore, why would you spend
(01:05:23):
money to go to a theater and see a movie
you don't want to see? And I think there's a
lot to it, So well, let's put that to the test.
Last time you went to the movies? What movie was
worth you going to the movies to go see? Rocketman
was the last one I saw, and that's probably going
back three or four years. And it was a good movie.
I enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting a musical. It kind
(01:05:47):
of wasn't musical, but I liked the music, so it
was fine. Didn't mind spending the money on that one.
Wasn't anything really political about it. But when's the last
time you went to the movies and what did you
go see?
Speaker 48 (01:05:58):
Jimmy, I can always pay for myself. The only reason
I haven't seen the movie recently is because all they
keep coming out is just pure crap, nothing but crap,
A lot of woke crap and a lot of crap
that is totally meaningless. Because I think more than half
of the nation has rejected Hollywood at this point. Now,
I will say I will keep an eye on Angel
Studios because they got something coming up about the life
(01:06:20):
of George Washington just in time for two hundred fifty
eeth birthday of our country.
Speaker 12 (01:06:25):
I'll probably look into that.
Speaker 26 (01:06:26):
Indeed, from Katie, the last movie I saw was Elvis
and it was terrific.
Speaker 40 (01:06:33):
I'll probably never go back to the movies ever again.
Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
Skip from Webster. It's been over ten years.
Speaker 20 (01:06:39):
Yes, it's a combination. They're weird politics and basically the
stories are all lame and they've been told one hundred
times over the predictable and they just sucked.
Speaker 4 (01:06:52):
The last movie I saw was the Forge, and that
was back in twenty twenty four.
Speaker 3 (01:06:57):
It's a Christian movie. Okay, all right, gain some insight here. Plus,
you know, it's not cheap to go to the movies.
I haven't even price to movie ticket. What's it cost
to go to the movies?
Speaker 20 (01:07:07):
Now?
Speaker 3 (01:07:07):
What are they charging for a movie ticket?
Speaker 28 (01:07:09):
Six?
Speaker 3 (01:07:09):
Forty? Time for traffic and whether to go?
Speaker 4 (01:07:11):
I don't mind. If the product is good, yeah, you know,
and we can have.
Speaker 3 (01:07:14):
A good time and eat the popcorn and just.
Speaker 4 (01:07:16):
Enjoy the movie. You know what I predict though, I
predict that Springsteen movie is gonna be the biggest bomb of.
Speaker 3 (01:07:21):
All the biofits already is considered a fly.
Speaker 4 (01:07:23):
I mean, I don't care. You have the right to

they have found with THE snap.
Speaker 3 (01:11:39):
Program and what they have found is not very good
but probably not very.
Speaker 49 (01:11:43):
Surprising so we know that twenty percent of illegals are
ON snap and that fifty nine percent of households headed
by illegals USE snap or some other multiple welfare.
Speaker 25 (01:11:57):
Programs talk to us about that as, well, well.
Speaker 22 (01:12:00):
A couple of.
Speaker 50 (01:12:00):
Things there's been a lot of miscommunication out there on the.
Program but the, first this is one of the first
things we did WHEN i walked in the day day
one OF Usda february, thirteenth is we sent letters to
every governor In america being very clear that no illegal
aliens can USE.
Speaker 8 (01:12:17):
Snap zero zero.
Speaker 50 (01:12:18):
Zero we asked every state for the first time in,
history and this was In, february to send us their
data and let us WITH doge and a war, room
actually start going through this data to better understand how
this explosion OF snap benefits happened Under Joe. Biden we
increased almost forty percent on this program in just a
couple of years under The biden. Administration of course we
(01:12:41):
know they were trying to buy the, election but that's
a conversation for another. Time and since we have asked
for that, data twenty nine states have. Complied complied of
course almost all The red, states a couple of the you,
know the couple Of blue states. Too but in that,
data AND i haven't talked about this yet, publicly in that,
data we have found we studied about one hundred billion
dollars in. Spend we have found thousands and thousands of
(01:13:06):
illegal use of THE ebt. Card we have been moving
people off Of. Snap we've got almost seven hundred thousand.
PEOPLE i think we've moved off just since The president took.
Office we've arrested about one hundred and eighteen.

People so this has been.
Speaker 50 (01:13:20):
Ongoing But, rachel to your, point what this conversation has
allowed is a national spotlight on a broken and corrupt.
Program we found one guy in six different states getting a.
Benefit we found about five thousand people that are dead
who are still getting. Benefits like it is time to
drastically reform this program so that we can make sure
(01:13:42):
that those who are truly, needy truly, vulnerable are getting
what they need and the rest of the corruption goes
away and we can serve The american.

yeah not so, much. Huh rocketmand's last MOVIE i went

what the ticket. Was it's four or five years. AGO
i go on match with movie tickets cost. Now it
was at one of those Like. SYNOPOLIS i think it
(01:22:48):
was At, synophilis you, know sit, down one of. THOSE
i wonder how those sit down movie theaters are doing,
though the ones where you get dinner in a movie
you order from the. MENU i mean that could be
seems to me the last time we did, that that
was a better part of a bucks for the two of,
us you, know to get popcorn and dinner and the
movie and the whole thing that that probably they probably
had a little something to do with the fact that
we didn't go back to do. That So i'm sure
(01:23:10):
the fact that you can stream most everything in fairly
short order has something to do with. It BUT i
also think there's a content, issue and that's What i've
been asking this. Morning based on The october box office,
numbers one of the worst months in cinematic modern. History
they only made four hundred and fifty five. Million that's
in twenty twenty five. Dollars they have to go back
To october of nineteen ninety seven to have a Worst,
(01:23:32):
october where they only made three hundred and fifteen. Million
but he adjusted for, inflation it's still a lot more
than what they made This october when you adjusted for.
Inflation so your thoughts on the, movies last movie you
went to, see last movie you bother go to a
theater to, see or why you haven't gone to a
theater in recent. History, yeah It's jason From.

Speaker 3 (01:29:08):
Scandal time to do something about, it says our next
guess He's Matt. Kittle he's senior election. Correspondent The federals
wrote a story for them about The biden autopen. Investigation
play time is, over he, says time to. Prosecute who
would you prosecute?
Speaker 35 (01:29:21):
First Matt, Kittle, WELL i think there are a lot
of people in the shadowy government Behind Joe biden for
several years who were working the auto Pen as.
Speaker 12 (01:29:34):
We've come to, know.
Speaker 35 (01:29:36):
There should be prosecutions therein because the people Of, AMERICA i,
think in twenty, twenty although there's evidence to suggest they
many of, them. Didn't they Elected Joe biden. President they
didn't elect a you, know a committee to run the.
Speaker 3 (01:29:56):
Country, okay true, Enough but it gets to be the
point where you have to prove That biden had no
knowledge of these autopen, signings that he did not personally approve,
them and THEN i would hope they if you can
prove that somehow that not only do the people who
did the autopen signs should they be, prosecuted but any
(01:30:17):
of the orders that were signed that way should be. Reversed,
yeah that's exactly.
Speaker 35 (01:30:22):
It Mike howell of The Oversight project was the leading
investigator in this and he broke this issue back In,
march and at that time they had, found you, know
real problems with the autopen and its, authenticity and That
(01:30:45):
Joe biden of, course had no idea that you, know
who was being pardoned in all of these sorts of,
things and that is exactly what he. Says now we've
found out a lot, more of, course With James comer
and The Oversight committee last week with the bombshell report
that they, released they're talking about more investigations and more
(01:31:10):
reviews from The department Of. Justice The department Of justice
needs to stop all of the. Reviews we've got the,
information we've got the. Evidence now it's time for.
Speaker 3 (01:31:21):
Prosecutions AND i guess that's up to THE, doj, right
that's up To VAN bondi do you think she's hesitating to.
Prosecute she is absolutely hesitating to. Prosecute and there are
a number of reasons for. That, politics of, course always.
Speaker 35 (01:31:37):
Plays a big part in these kinds of things when
we're talking about. Accountability but it is. Will it is
the will to hold people. Accountable and while this administration
has done a pretty good job at, that much better
job than previous, administrations we're still lacking that at this,
(01:31:58):
point that account of ability for this particular. Scandal and
we know there have been a lot of scandals Under democrat.
Speaker 3 (01:32:06):
Control, okay if you're a betting, MAN i know that you.
Are but even if you're, Not Matt, kittle you go
Into vegas right, now you're putting down one hundred bucks
on prosecutions versus no, Prosecutions which which which gets your?
Bet where are you putting one hundred?
Speaker 35 (01:32:19):
Bucks the over under at this point, IS i would
say limited. PROSECUTIONS i think there will be whether we
get accountability in this federal court system that has you,
know so many far left judges in. It that's that's
(01:32:43):
another question.

know you actually left your, house got in your, car
went to a, theater maybe ordered some, popcorn sat in
(01:40:37):

(01:40:57):
think it's seven so called women on the cover is
Called women of The year For Glamour, Magazine United. Kingdom
except they're not really. Women they're. MEN i mean they
look like, women but they all have male, equipment which
technically means that they're. Men they're not. Women Here's Greg
guttfeld commenting on.
Speaker 54 (01:41:18):
This feminists can be the worst enemies of women because
of what Goad sad would call suicidal. Empathy they would
gladly throw each other under the bus to garner a
brief flicker of attention through virtue. Signaling women's editors of
women's magazines are the WORST i know of, them and
the biggest lie sold to consumers is that there are
(01:41:42):
some kind of status afforded.
Speaker 4 (01:41:44):
To women's, magazines like they know better about, everything but they.
Speaker 55 (01:41:48):
Don't they're as insecure and as miserable as anybody on
the planet because as feminists they are told certain things
that are not, true that essentially go against is what
it is to be a.
Speaker 4 (01:42:02):
Woman and as a biological, FEMALE i know.
Speaker 54 (01:42:05):
This the ugly truth is in some, cases in many,
cases feminism ends up at a dead. End the most
misogynists of humans are women Like, glamour who now put
men in dresses in front of women because.
Speaker 8 (01:42:21):
Fundamentally they are anti.
Speaker 3 (01:42:24):
Women, okay that's kind of convoluted in, complex but when
you think about, it there's probably some truth of.
Speaker 30 (01:42:30):
That all.
Speaker 3 (01:42:30):
Right now back to the, movie Because Sky mike desperately
wants to hear what ED i had to, say AND

Ktrh time saving traffic connect on the.
Speaker 3 (01:48:24):
TEN i think there are a lot of people who
came here To texas for, freedom but different types of.
Freedom freedom from taxes or from insane taxes is one
of the reasons why we see more people From New
york coming here and Of. Florida in, FACT i Think
florida still gets the brunt of, it just like we
(01:48:45):
get the brunt Of. Californians but there's nothing that's going
to happen in these blue states that's going to change
that because if anything they're, getting they're talking higher taxes
and more. Restrictions it's going to be even more difficult
to find your freedom in a blue st that's for.
Sure and maybe some people will be moving From virginia.
Too the way that election looks like that may end
(01:49:06):
up turning. Out but here's a thought or two from
a guy by the name Of Ari Rostia. Gun he's
A Rosti Gun, capital he's THEIR.
Speaker 4 (01:49:14):
Ceo or let's bring In Rosti Guard CAPITAL Ceo ari Rostigar, Ari, Welcome,
hey thanks for having.
Speaker 46 (01:49:21):
Me so we're looking at elections In New York city
And New. Jersey depending on how those elections, go taxas
could potentially go. Up you expecting more moving trucks to
be heading for the great state Of texas where you
work and, operate and Also.
Speaker 58 (01:49:34):
Florida, Absolutely AND i think that these red states are
just getting redder, too is the real, point because people
are really fed. Up and if you look at the
highest exodus of the highest, states it's always tax related
and then it starts dwindling into crime because if people
aren't comfortable where they, live they're not going to want
to be. There and now states Like, Texas, Tennessee, florida
(01:49:56):
they're creating an environment where people actually want to, live
they can work and actually ca the money that they're.
Speaker 3 (01:50:00):
Earning, yeah full.
Speaker 46 (01:50:02):
Disclosure my brothers moved To, florida my cousin moved To.
Tennessee SO i feel. You The Texas Stock exchange has
been improved to. Open what's the impact of.
Speaker 3 (01:50:11):
THAT i, mean it's this is a plate tectonic.
Speaker 58 (01:50:13):
SHIFT i, MEAN i think this represents the decentralization of
the markets out Of New york Into, texas and now
with people as fed up as they are moving Into,
texas this whole purple phenomenon that people think is just not.
True so now the big money is starting to move
Into texas and get. Comfortable AND i think if you
keep raising taxes In New, York Wall street itself might
(01:50:35):
find a new home In, Dallas.
Speaker 3 (01:50:36):
Texas would that be something if there were no more
In New york stock, exchange or at least the main
stock exchange for the country was In texas instead of
being In New, York If texas were the economic epicenter
for the world the Way New york has been in the,
past it's a real possibility going. Forward it really. Is, hey, listen,
