Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, the reaction to the killing of Charlie Kirk has
been it's been it's been rough to see, it's been
difficult to see. I will say this, if there's anything
positive about it, This, this shocking incident has gotten virtually
everybody on both sides to make their positions known. So
(00:21):
people that you may not have even known were Charlie
Kirk haters and further left than you ever dreamed they
possibly could be. You now know, don't you. Family Members
have been outed, friends have been outed. Some of the
things that people have been willing to post on social
media have made people go, well, I guess you're not
(00:42):
my friend anymore. It's been a revelation for a lot
of folks. Led Vidiot joins us geop political strategist. I've
never quite seen anything quite like this on both ends
of the extreme of you.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
It's been a long time since we've seen something like this,
and it's it's shocking and alarming to see how deeply
divided we are as a republic, not only from one
state to another, or one political party to another, but
as you mentioned, from one family to another. It's shocking
(01:15):
to see how many times we are encountering incidents where
family members are diametrically opposed and have come out not
only totally opposite sides of this, but turn that difference
on each other. So it's definitely something needs to be addressed.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Well, the thing that's kind of interesting about it, too,
is that the knee dric reaction when this whole thing happened.
I heard from a young member of my own family
who said, Hey, he's a Christian, he grew up Mormon,
he's from a Republican household, you know, and I'm going, well,
wait a minute, to hang on. I don't think you
know the entire story here. And as it turns out,
somehow he was radicalized, he had a trans or becoming
(01:55):
a transgender boyfriend, clearly not following the teachings of the
Mormon Church. There just because you come from a conservative
family doesn't mean you're a conservative.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
No. And what we have seen is in this particular
case and this assassin is has been repeated time and
time again where families that have worked to really inculcate
those values that the deep moral underpinnings of empathy and
understanding and care and concern for the world and trying
(02:30):
to find a build a character that gives back to
society is completely undermined and warped and twisted by society,
especially in our university system, which is you know, when
we when we see kids go into university systems, into colleges,
they are very quickly taught not only by their professors
(02:52):
who vast majority, as we're seeing this week, are very
twisted leftis and celebrate murder of conservatives people on the right,
but from their peers as well, because in that culture
there is extremely high pressure to conform and to submit
(03:13):
to the hateful ideology and the twisted ideas of leptism
that dominator American universities.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Well, what's been I guess somewhat gratifying is to see
that certainly probably not having in the teaching profession at
the level that it should, but there are plenty of
other professions where we have people who've made very hateful
statements about the assassination of Charlie Kirk and have paid
for it with their jobs. And what's also interesting to
me is how shock they are. Clearly they're living in
their own little vacuum here. They must think that they
(03:44):
really hold the majority opinion when they think that Charlie
Kirk had it coming. They think that they hold the
majority opinion on this.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yeah, the vast majority of these people not only think
that they hold the majority opinion, but because they're so isolationists,
they're so they're so siloed that I can't tell you
how many comments I've seen, even to my own family
and across social media, where people on the left refuse
to engage, refuse to speak with, refuse to associate with
(04:15):
anyone outside of their leftist bubble, and when something like
this happens, they're shocked that anyone has an opinion opposite
of theirs. It's incredible that they have isolated themselves so much.
They only hear the leftist voice, they only hear the
voice of hatred and anger and fear, and outside of
(04:36):
that anything cannot penetrate. So when people express sympathy and
when people express respect and admiration for Charlie Kirk and
share that they too take those feelings and those ideas
and those ideologies and those values and bring them forward,
They're shocked.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah, they are, Thank you, sir, good to hear from you.
