Speaker 1 (00:00):
Laed Dvidick joined this political strategist. You know, I don't
know who's looking for an alternative to Trump, but there's
who do we have to choose from? Who would somebody
who's let's say, is an independent but cares about things
like illegal immigration and how the country is being run
and saving social Security and making sure it's there for
people twenty thirty years from now. Who is offering that
(00:21):
to them other than Donald Trump?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
The Democrats have done a fantastic job of ensuring that
no one that's not on their side is offering any
kind of that possing. They have many that completely rejects
the premise of what Republicans and President Trump have achieved.
So anyone who is interested in solving problems, anyone who's
(00:47):
interested in providing good solutions to American people has left
the Democrat Party. It's a result of their ostracization, their persecution.
They're purging of the left of any good ideas. All
they have left is socialism, decision, culture, crisis, and economic futility.
(01:12):
That's all that they have left. There's nothing good there.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
How do you think? But how do you think this
whole government shutdown works itself out? At this particular point
in time, it looks like the Democrats are not interested
in backing down. I don't think Republicans at this point
are interested in backing down because they think they have
the high road in this argument. But we're at the
point now where we're seeing some cracks along the way
and some people who maybe have not been impact or
(01:34):
haven't felt the government shutdown are going to start feeling
and people certainly on Snap. Maybe that doesn't involve many
of any of our listeners, but we have a lot
of listeners who travel, and you can't go to the
airport now without fear that your flight believed to be
canceled or will be delayed because of air traffic control,
and a lot of airports are having to make these changes.
(01:56):
What gets to be the tipping point in all this?
Do you think.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
The tipping point is going to come when Democrats and
their base supporters begin to feel more of the impact
and more of the pain of the Schumer shutdown. The
vast majority of the amounts of overspending and over budgeting
(02:21):
and bloated and bloated finances aligns very sharply with Democrat
agenda items, and so as soon as their supporters. As
soon as their voters begin to feel that pressure, begin
to feel that pain, they're going to contact their representatives,
are going to contact their senators and say something has
to happen because they started to impact me. And it's
(02:42):
already starting to happen. I mean, the vast majority of
those who are starting to already feel the impact are
people who are illegally, people who are on government assistants
and refuse to get jobs, people who have no marketable
skills that allow them to perform in a society that
allows them to earn a living. And so those align
(03:05):
very sharply with Democrat supporters. And so as that continues
to increase, we're going to start to feed Democrats being
forced to take a position of aligning with the demands
that Republicans have made rather than making their ransom demands
and holding the American government hostage.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
So you want to take a stab at this. How
much time do you think we have left in this
government shutdown before people decide that's enough.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
I suspect we're probably going to get about halfway to Thanksgiving.
I think we will by Thanksgiving us I think we're
going to should be open again. I think that's more
likely than not going to happen, because that benefits begin
to cease starting November first, and it's only so long
that you can go without before you have to make
(03:52):
severe choices. And then we're going to have very big
travel days coming up at Thanksgiving, and that's going to
be hugely impactful, not only to airports but to businesses
across the country and family. So I think sometime between
now and Thanksgiving, a deal is going to be reached.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
All right, Glad, thanks is always good to talk to you.
