to help you out here on Texas home improvement. Now
I'm going to have a guest on to begin with here,

(03:23):
but you can still call in seven one three two
one two five eight seven four. This is on a
product that I had put in my house last year,
and you know it really can make a huge difference
on the comfort level of your home, on the energy
efficiency of your home. Uh, and really the noise from

(03:44):
outside as well.

Speaker 9 (03:46):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (03:47):
You hear me talk about USA Insulation all the time.
And I want to welcome Gerald from the local USA
installation company, And Gerald, how are you today?

Speaker 9 (03:59):
Thank you? How you doing? I'm great?

Speaker 10 (04:01):
Thank you for having me.

Speaker 9 (04:02):
On the shelf.

Speaker 8 (04:03):
Hey, my pleasure. So this is one of those products
that a lot of times people think the first thing
that goes to their head is if I'm going to
redo the insulation, Amma walls, I got to either tear
the sheet rock off or the siding off. And you
guys don't have to do either one of those.

Speaker 10 (04:22):
Yes, that is true. I mean, that is the best
part about our installation is cut the cost of remodeling
pretty much. You have you know a lot of times,
you know, with older houses or houses that are not
well insulated, you will go run into the situation where
you have to either remove the siding or remove the
sheet rock in order for you to do any kind

(04:43):
of insulation in there. With our product, it has a
higher our value than anything out there. Knowing that it
also air seals any kind of cracks or it goes
into any crevices, and it foams around the pipes and
and cables.

Speaker 8 (05:01):
Too, and that really is what seals everything up. And
I mean I can use my own house as an
example that after I had it done, I mean, I
guess I had mine done November of last year, and
it might have been October. I don't remember now, but anyways,
you could feel the cold air coming in in the

(05:23):
winter months and in the summer months your air conditioning
is going out the same way. But once you guys
put this installation in the walls, it stops all that.
And that's one of the things that makes it helps
it be so energy efficient.

Speaker 10 (05:41):
Yes, that is true. I mean I always use the
analogy of a Yeti cooler or any kind of cooler
that you have versus a star foam cooler. Well, our
homes are designed with you know, they're all mainly wood
and they have rig themes or whatever the case may
be in some of the houses. But it's it loses

(06:05):
a lot of air because a lot of areas are
not properly sealed off in order for us, in order
for anyone to do that there it's a big project,
you know. But with our product, when we are injecting
it inside the houses, it will it is not only
taking over the existing insallation where you don't have to

(06:28):
we do not have to take the existing installation out.
It will come in and it will go around it.
It will actually push the the bats or anything towards
the back and it will fill the air up. But
the thing with the sound is also sounds a vibration, right,
It's a frequency in the air that travels. Now, when
you have a hollow area, that sound will hit the

(06:51):
hollow area and it will create the vibration. That's why
you hear a lot of noise. Now when you fill
that up with our film, which which when the cures,
becomes an actual block when it cures. So what it
does is it will prevent the vibration to pass through
inside the house. Okay, So and going back to I'm sorry, so.

Speaker 8 (07:16):
What's the product made of?

Speaker 11 (07:17):
Then?

Speaker 8 (07:18):
I mean, I know it's a phone, but what's what's
it made of? Because most phones, when we see them there,
they're expansive type foams, and this is a non expansive.

Speaker 10 (07:29):
Yes, sir. So what we do is like the way
our phone is made as a proprietary formula, it is
all green products. Now, the basic the three basic things
that we have in our phone is going to be
a filming agent, a resin, which is the proprietary formula,
which actually changes into foam, and then uh.

Speaker 8 (07:51):
Okay and and and I guess that that combination is
what keeps it from being expansive. It's just kind of
more like a shaving inconsistency exactly.

Speaker 10 (08:02):
So when when we do inject it in the in
the walls, it comes out as a shaving cream with
whatever area you have. Now, I did a little experiment
during my training. I did put some of the regular phone,
which is the opener close cell in a in a bottle,
and I put a little bit of our foam in
a bottle as well. Now, the expansion of opener or

(08:25):
close cell that actually expanded and like made the bottle look,
you know.

Speaker 9 (08:29):
Be deformed.

Speaker 10 (08:30):
However, ours the bottle it took the shape of the bottle,
so it's it didn't expand. In the long run, what
it does is actually when we're injecting it in the walls.
You know a lot of people have that have they
they're worried about their walls being like pushed out or
their siding being pushed out, or whatever the case may be.

(08:52):
With ours, customers don't have to worry about that.

Speaker 8 (08:55):
No. No, Well, like I said, I had my house done,
my son had his h and you know you mentioned
the noise reduction. It's not just a little noise reduction.
It's a lot of noise reduction.

Speaker 10 (09:11):
Yes, Yes, we actually are able to go up to
eighty five to noise reduction.

Speaker 8 (09:19):
Oh yeah yeah. So what what kind of savings can
homeowners expect on their energy bills? I know on mine,
I mean it was it was a pretty good savings.
It reduced it a lot. My sons came down a
lot as well. So what is it that people normally

(09:40):
can expect.

Speaker 10 (09:42):
Well, depending on the you know, depending on customers usage.
You know, it can go all the way up to
fifty percent.

Speaker 8 (09:51):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (09:52):
And the savings for your electricity okay, because the thing is,
when you look at it, most of the energy is
taken up by the AC, like the you know, the
furnace is running all the time, or the cooling is
running all the time. Uh, the AC is kicking in.
Now when we insulate everything, it maintains the temperature inside

(10:12):
the house. So if you want it to be warmer,
it's not. The unit is not going to be turning
on constantly to keep it warmer. Or if you want
it to be cooler, it's not going to be cool
kicking in all the time to keep it cooler. It
maintains the temperature.

Speaker 8 (10:30):
What you cast said, Well, I know the product is great.
I have personal experience with using it.

Speaker 10 (10:39):
Thank you.

Speaker 8 (10:40):
You got any type of specials going right now to
help people?

Speaker 10 (10:44):
Oh, actually, you know to for today and you know
for us UH for today. What we're doing is UH,
if our customers are calling us in UH and using
your name, you're they're saving UH five hundred dollars on
the total project. On top of it, they're getting free
insulation in the attic if they're getting the whole house

(11:08):
insulated now. To top it all off by the next
next year's taxes, they get a tax credit as well.

Speaker 8 (11:19):
Oh that's good. Yeah, and a credit means they can
take that that dollar amount off rather than you know,
just the deduction.

Speaker 10 (11:31):
Yes, they can take that dollar amount off. Yes, ya.

Speaker 8 (11:34):
Okay, Well where can they call to to take advantage
of this?

Speaker 10 (11:39):
So they can you know, they can call us at
four zero nine three one six nine five seven, or
they can visit us on our website which is USA
Insulation dot net. Okay, all they gotta do is call
us in, set up an appointment, and mention your name

Speaker 8 (12:05):
All right, Well, then it makes it a good time
to go ahead and mention my name. They can name
drop and take advantage of that.

Speaker 10 (12:12):
I like it, of course, of course. I mean you've

his head walk in the streets of DFW he was
looking for a wall that he could knock down. Here
comes Jim Dutton again. Oh oh yeah, it comes Jim Dutton.

(16:09):
Here comes Jim Dutton.

Speaker 14 (16:14):
Here's more with Jim on Texas Home Improofmates.

Speaker 8 (16:19):
Hey, welcome back to Texas Home Improvement. Lines are open,
Lines are available. Give me a call seven one three
two one two five eight seven four. That's seven one three,
two one two five eight seven four and I'll see
what I can do to help you out here on
Texas Home Improvement. So I got an email from Steve,

(16:43):
and Steve is looking for a brick masonry repair. She says,
repair brick mortar from foundation cracking. Do West customer many
years ago, and now I need to repair the cracks. Thanks.
And you know, after you have foundation repair, it's it's
very common to have to get brick repair work done
because even though you level it up, you close the cracks,

(17:09):
you know the crack is still there. It's not sealed up.
So give mister brick a call it seven one three,
eight five six eighty three twenty nine and uh, he'll
be able to get you taken care of. And with that,
I'll move that one to completed. Seven one three two, one, two, five, eight,

(17:33):
seven four. And Bob, and you know, for some reason,
I'm getting this similar question several times at this time
of year, and I think it's because the sun beats
on the flagstone at this time of year. But Bob
is asking about flagstone sealer, what product do you recommend

(17:53):
to seal a flagstone patio. Well, go into Floor and
decre and tell them it's an outside flagstone patio and
they will give you the proper sealers for it. And uh,
you know the nice thing about ceiling flagstone that way,
the seiler will not only seal it, but it brings

(18:14):
out the color of the patterns in the flagstone, makes
it look gorgeous. So yeah, just like I say, drop
by any floor and the Core. Uh you're in the Woodlands,
I think you'd said, right, And let's see yep, yeah, yeah,
up and Humble And there is a floor in de

(18:35):
Core right up there. So you'll swing by that store
and they'll be able to give you the right product
for it again. Seven one three, two, one two five
eight seven four. And I'll see what I can do
to help you out here on Texas Home Improvement. Let's see,

(18:56):
there we go William is asking about my home garage.
Lentil is sagging and need it repaired. Uh, Lental Lift. Yeah,
just give Lental Lift a call. They can help you
with that. And you know, basically what you'll see when

(19:16):
your lentil starts sagging is the if you got brick
around it, you're gonna get cracks off the overhead garage
door opening. And you know that doesn't mean that's the
lentil is the issue. I mean, you could have foundation movement.
But here's how you can tell. If the garage door
opening has a sag in the middle, that's the lental failing.

(19:40):
And you need to go ahead and give Lental Lift
a call and let them come out and give you
a price for getting that taken care of.

Speaker 7 (19:48):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (19:48):
If it's just the cracks in the it, it looks
nice and straight across the top, well, then you're not
looking at a lental problem. You're looking at a foundation problem.
And so then it's a matter of calling Due West.
But uh, yeah, for that lintal issue, just give Lenttal

(20:08):
Lift to call. You can go to thhipro dot com
and their information is on the website and uh they'll
get you taken care of again if you got a
question seven one three two one two five eight seven four.
That's seven one three two one two five eight seven four,

(20:32):
and I'll see what I can do to help you
out here on Texas Home Improvement, your total home improvement source.
Let's see. Well, I'm gonna hold off on taking a
call because I didn't know we got some calls coming in,
but we got plenty of line still available. So seven
one three two one two five eight seven four. We

(20:55):
are getting ready to take a break here at the
bottom of the hour for news, traffic, weather, and then
we'll come back with more Texas Home Improvement. Hussein wanting
to use foam insulation for under a manufactured home. Is
this a good solution? What are drawbacks? If any? Thank

(21:17):
you well, Manufactured homes typically don't have spray foam insulation
under them. They usually have regular fiberglass insulation and then
a plastic shield that goes across to keep moisture out. Now,
if you want to take all that off and put
a closed cell spray foam insulation, you can. The problem

(21:40):
is you limit yourself being able to repair stuff because
on a manufactured home, a lot of times they got
waterline sewer line stuff like that that's running in the insulation,
and so you make it very difficult for repair work.
And that's the reason it's done the way it is. Hey,
let me talk to you about du West air Conditioning,
because if you're having air conditioning issues, you want to

(22:01):
get it taken care of, and you want to get
it taken care of right, And that's why you call
do West air Conditioning my company. We're gonna come out,
We're gonna shoot straight with you, what's going on with it,
what it's going to take to fix it, and look
if it my typical rule of thumb is if it's
too expensive on a repair, then I do start looking

(22:22):
at replacement. And by that, uh like, if I'm getting
up around fifty percent of the cost of a new unit,
it's it's time to replace it rather than repair it
because energy efficiency goes up and all kinds of other stuff,
and whether it's repair or replaced. D WES does have
some great financing available to help you out. So when

(22:42):
you want the best, call do West air Conditioning at
seven one three four seven three seven one five six.
That's seven one three four seven three seven to one
five six.

Speaker 7 (22:55):
Coming soon to a theater near you.

Speaker 14 (22:58):
The evil walking gud dictors and only one man can
stop them.

Speaker 8 (23:04):
This is Jim. What can I do for you?

Speaker 5 (23:06):
Here's more with Jim Dutton on your total home improvement source.

Speaker 8 (23:12):
Hey, welcome back to Texas Home Improvement seven one three
two one two five eight seven four. Any home improvement
question you have, pick up the phone, give me a
call and let's talk home improvement here on Texas how
Improvement Greg.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
This is a Jim.

Speaker 8 (23:29):
How can I help you?

Speaker 12 (23:32):
We Hi?

Speaker 4 (23:32):
Jim. Well, first of all, just to thank you from
the past. I called you cab a year and a
half or so ago about your thoughts on how to
select a replacement roof roofing materials and anyway you suggested
contacting my insurance company for you know products today would

(23:56):
would would give me a discount on just got on
my premim and it led to a very good outcome.
So I appreciate that, and I just don't never really
cycle back to thank you. But well, the reason I'm okay,
I'm sorry, I'm trying to not take up too much
of your time, but the honest you're.

Speaker 8 (24:16):
The only call I have right now, and I would
appreciate it if you take up all the time you need.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
I'm so used to calling the garden line and they're
only trying to get me off the phone.

Speaker 8 (24:27):
Anyway, I'm battling college football right now.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
I understand. Yeah, yeah, I'm an aggie, and our our
game isn't until this evening, so we've got plenty of time.

Speaker 8 (24:38):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
But anyway, Okay, So my wife and I are in
a house like twenty years old, and we're we're working
on trying to get our bathrooms remodeled, like basically got it,
you know for the most part, gutting them and replacing
them with upgraded you know everything. And uh, but my

(25:00):
focus of the call here is, uh, you know, shower
or tubs, you know, tub surround type situation with tile,
and I'm in no way an expert on it, but
you know, learning something as I as I go. You know,
we've talked to three contractors and gotten what their recommending

(25:22):
and what approaches to some extent what they're doing. And anyway,
especially understands there's at least a couple of approaches that
I like your thoughts on. One is, I guess, as
I understand it, kind of the more traditional route with
a shower pan and the mortar ped that slope to
get the water to the drain. But you have to

(25:44):
have kind of a hearty backer with waterproofing on the
walls that that ties into the shower pan to kind
of get the water that gets through the tile drought, uh,
you know, to the drain. Anyway, it sounds like that's
one one approach to at least one of the contractors
as far as I understand it, that's what they're wanting
to do. And then another one seems to want to

(26:06):
do something that's probably a newer technology. The brand he's
talking about it the Shmootery system, where it sounds like
basically they're they're using waterproof membranes that that are they
put sealings between layers and you just basically get everything

(26:27):
all waterproofed and and if everything is done properly, it's
got some sort of a warranty on it for like
maybe even the limited lifetime warranty on waterproofing and anyway,
so it sounds intriguing, but I don't know too much
about it, And SA anyway, do you have any thoughts
on those comparisons to anything else you.

Speaker 8 (26:46):
Might The second one, the shooter stuff is basically after
they build the shower out, you paint it with this
product and it seals everything. And I got zero problem
with it with one exception. What what what happens to

(27:10):
our structures here in Texas? You know, our our soils
that they dry out, they shrink, they get wet, they expand,
things move, and that coating that they put on can
get a crack in it. Well, now it's leaking. Uh.
And so what what my personal what I did in

(27:31):
my personal house, I went with the traditional shower pan
in the bottom with the coming up the sides and everything.
Put the hardy board in and yes you do put
like a tievek or or hearty wrap behind it.

Speaker 10 (27:50):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (27:51):
And then you put the the concrete back or board
up and you can put your tile onto all that
with no problem. But I don't have an issue putting
that sealer on there just as an added layer. So
I kind of I like the concept of it. I'm

(28:11):
just it hasn't been out in our area long enough
problem free. Not that the using a rubber format is
problem free either, because none of these none of these
things are perfect. They all have to be redone after
you know, really twenty thirty years, but by then you're

(28:33):
ready for upgrades anyways. Yeah, So for me, I would
go it. For me, I would go with the traditional.

Speaker 9 (28:45):
So with the.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
Traditional, I mean it sounds like, if I understand it quickly,
they they put in hardybacker or something equivalent, and then
they apply a waterpoof coating onto the hardybacker before they
put the tile on. Is that right?

Speaker 8 (29:01):
Well, normally what you do is you have a waterproof
like a hearty backer oh tivek behind the hardy backer board,
just like if it was on the outside of a house,
and then the backer board and you can go straight
onto the backer board with your tile, or you can

(29:23):
put that waterproof membrane on it if you'd like as
added protection. The only part that typically on a wall
that's going to leak is moisture will travel through the
grout The tile itself, nothing's going to go through it,
but through the grout lines. Moisture will travel through the

(29:44):
grout lines and get it onto the concrete backer board.
But you know it's it's typically going to just run
down to the bottom and go out as long as
you've got the moisture barrier behind the backer board because
the way the way it would go in. You'd have
your rubber, you got your your grout sloping towards the drain.

(30:07):
Then you got the rubber matt on the floor. Yeah,
the shower pan. Then you put another layer of mortar
on top of the shower pan against it's sloping towards
the drain. Your tievek or Hardi wrap would go onto
the studs and it would hang over your shower pan.

(30:33):
So any moisture that does hit it runs down and
goes onto the shower pan. Then your back your concrete
backer board, your tile. And that's that's the way it's waterproofed.
It's multi layer that way.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
Okay, so just repeat you're saying the tie bek uh.
It goes down the walls behind the Hardy backer yep,
and and it.

Speaker 8 (30:57):
And it hangs over.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
Over the shower pans sharp pan.

Speaker 9 (31:02):
Yeah yeah okay.

Speaker 8 (31:05):
And that music means I gotta take a quick break,
So I'm gonna put you on hold for just a second.
We'll come back and finish that up. Let's talk about
James Hardy siding, because you know, we talk about James
Hardy siding as a siding all the time. But like
we were just talking about. They've got the concrete backer
board as well for in the showers and like, if
you're putting tile on your walls in the kitchen, you

(31:27):
can put a concrete backer board up if you want.
Instead of sheet rock in the bathrooms, don't put sheet
rock around your tub, surround or in the shower, you
use a concrete backer board. James Hardy concrete backer board
works great. I've used it for years. Beautiful siding, lap siding, stucco,

(31:49):
you know, whatever look you're going for. To find more,
go to thchi pro dot com and click on the
link for James Hardy Siding. Let's head over to fort
Worth and Gary.

Speaker 9 (32:00):
Thank you, Jim.

Speaker 8 (32:01):
On your head there.

Ready Seal. I've got some garage doors. I put it
on about two years ago. It works great. The ready
seal looks just as good as it did today. I
put it on.

Speaker 8 (32:10):
Ready Seal. You know, spray it on, roll it on,
brush it on. You don't have to worry about laps
or streaks, runs, any of that stuff because of the
way it soaks deep down into the wood fibers. It
takes care of all of it. And it's available everywhere.
But to find a store nearest to you go to

Speaker 7 (34:27):

Speaker 6 (34:40):
Competitions you were listening To Texas Home improvement With Jim.

Speaker 8 (34:45):
Dutton, hey welcome back To Texas Home improvements Your Total
Home improvement source seven one three two point two five
eight seven. Four let's see we were talking With egg
there and So. Greg you were going through the layout layers.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
And so well you you ESPECIALLY i understand you're talking
about you have tie back or hardie wrap behind the hardy.
Backer could you put the hardy backer on and then
you put the tile on the hardy. Backer is that?

Speaker 9 (35:25):
Right that is? Correct SO i was reading one of the.

Speaker 4 (35:30):
Bids and it sounded like they were going to apply
some sort of waterproofing to the hardy backer THAT i
may have.

Speaker 8 (35:37):
Misunderstood but now there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing.
That it's just another added layer of, protection.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Okay, Okay and and the tile would still adhere to.
That is?

Speaker 6 (35:53):
That?

Speaker 8 (35:53):
Oh, yeah? Yep?

Speaker 4 (35:55):
Okay so maybe just the one other QUESTION i have
for you, IS i, mean we were thinking in terms
of the floor of the tile being ex give me
the floor of the shower being. Tile but we talked
to someone who recently had a similar project and they

(36:15):
said if they had it to do over, again they
would have gotten a shower floor that was just a
solid material and not tile.

Speaker 8 (36:23):
The man made. Base, YEAH i.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
Guess. Yeah you, know any thoughts on, that.

Speaker 8 (36:28):
You can go either. WAY i will tell, you if
you're going to put tile in the, floor use small,
tiles not large. Tiles and WHEN i say, small stuff
like no bigger than two inch by two, inch because
you're having a slope on. It in order to have
it all shape right and, stuff you need the. Smallness

(36:52):
to make up for, IT i put tile in the
base of my. Shower the advantage to the man made
ones are they don't leak where that's what you and
then and you don't need a shower pan when you
use the man made bases because that rubber on the

(37:14):
shower pan it can easily get a hole in it
and have a. Leak so you eliminate all that with
those man made.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
Bases, Okay so if you do the man made, base
how about the issue of of the you admission to
say the tie that comes down and lays inside the sharp.

Speaker 8 (37:35):
Pan it still has a lift that sticks up that
you can put it. Over, Okay the tile and everything
still goes over that man made. Base there's a lip
around the edge that it hangs. Over.

Speaker 4 (37:52):
Okay and then so the water when it drains down
the wall would actually go into the the solid.

Speaker 8 (38:01):
Floor, then, yes you never see it happen because the
amount of water that goes into the wall is so.
Minute it's it's like a drop or two that would
would come out the. Base you would never see.

Speaker 4 (38:12):
It, Okay, okay that. HELPS i Just i'm not that's
not my area of, expertise But i'm doing the BEST
i can understand, it.

Speaker 8 (38:23):
Yep and well that.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
Helps.

Speaker 4 (38:24):
Okay so as far as the solid, base do they
other various materials to choose?

Speaker 8 (38:31):
From there Are there's not a whole lot of different.
MATERIALS i, mean they're all man. Made some of them
are more of a plastic, material others are more like
a silestone type. MATERIAL i would go with the silestone
type the plastic, ones, yeah because those plastic ones as they,

(38:52):
age they yellow and they got flexibility to them THAT
i just don't.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
Like, well, okay so the last question on that on
the stile, zone are those something that they come in
pre made pieces that they, well.

Speaker 8 (39:14):
They do have three made. Sizes they do have pre
made sizes, available but you you can custom order them as.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
Well so custom order them to fit the actual dimensions
of the shower you.

Speaker 12 (39:26):
Want.

Speaker 4 (39:27):
Yep, Okay well, Okay, well thank you you've helped a.
LOT i appreciate, it my.

Speaker 8 (39:32):
Pleasure you have a great.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
Afternoon you do the, Same thank, you, sir.

To Jim dutton On Texas's Home. Improvement that goes for
you real women. Too here's more With jim On Texas Home.

Speaker 8 (44:10):
Improvement, hey welcome back To Texas Home improvement seven one
three two one two five eight seven. Four and let
me we were talking with a before we went to
break and let me make SURE i. Understand so you
had a tile. Floor you went over up with a.

Speaker 11 (44:31):
Concrete, yes that's what you. KNOW i was suggested to,
do like a thin layer of.

Speaker 8 (44:39):
Concrete it's like a like a floor.

Speaker 11 (44:41):
Leveler, then, yes, exactly great thin layer and then he
stained it and then he sealed. It but now that it's,
DONE i can see all the imperfections in. It it's
not like it was not spread out, evenly SO i
see the dips and all. That so Now i'm.

Speaker 8 (44:57):
Concerned, OKAY i can tell you it will never come
out looking. Perfect anytime you're doing that type of staining
ceiling on, concrete it is never gonna look. Perfect there
is always some. Imperfection So i'm not sure what imperfections you're.
Seeing are you seeing the ground lines from the tie

(45:19):
below it or?

Speaker 11 (45:19):
What, no not the ground. Lines it's just that when
you know you smooth it out with the trowel or something,
right and it. Leads if it's not smooth, out you
can see those arches, somewhere and then when he stained,
it so the stain has pulled into little, dips you,
know so it's not spread out.

Speaker 8 (45:39):
Evenly, Okay AND i can tell you when you, do
when you're doing concrete work that, way you will end
up with that almost every time because it just doesn't
come out perfect smooth like. That the trowel lines can
show the uh air bubbles get into the concrete mix

(46:02):
and they will pop as it's just sitting, there and
so it will leave that little pin size. Divit so
it's a common thing if you want something, smooth or
WHAT i would suggest is you take that, off you
take the tile out and put in a solid piece of,
tile because they make some tiles now that are like

(46:23):
five by eight foot and they're, huge and that would
give you one smooth flat finish that music that meant
THAT i was out of, time So i'm going to
have to cut you off at. That appreciate the. Call

Speaker 2 (49:56):
You, Hey, jim thanks for taking my. CALL hi have
any problem with exhaust smell coming out of my air conditioning.
Vents it sort of seems like a heavy air and
it's causing my wife AND i both the. Cough i'm eighty,

(50:18):
one she's seventy. Nine it's been going on for about six,
months And i've done a lot of things to try
to find out exactly what the problem was and to
get it, corrected but so far we haven't done. It
our air conditioning and furnace are both about a year

(50:39):
and a half. Old the very first thing when this
problem started back in Like february Or, march WAS i
called my h back guy and he came out and
did some work on it and didn't find anything, really
AND i, said, well let's go ahead and replace the
furnace even though it's only a year and a half.

(51:00):
Old at that time was about a year. Old and
Then i've done a lot of other things since, then
but we just haven't been able to find the.

Speaker 8 (51:10):
Problem and when you say exhaust, smell is it like
exhaust from a car or what kind of exhaust?

Speaker 2 (51:17):
Smell, yeah it smells like the old, cars the exhaust
smoke when you was backed by the. Tailpipe and it's
improved a little, bit but it's sort of like we
have heavy air in our, house and it caused my
wife AND i both to, cough and we've just done

(51:39):
a ton of. Things somebody suggested, mold SO i called
a mold remediator and he came. In he did find
a little bit of mold underneath our kitchen, sink and
we had all that tour out and, remediated and a
little bit in our half, bath and then a couple
of rooms upstairs they found. Something but the mold that

(52:02):
they found wasn't anymore than what most houses that are
forty years old could have in, them probably, less so
that wasn't the. Problem so then we put in new
duck work upstairs and in between our. Floors it's a
two story, house and that was very. Expensive and then

(52:23):
we had new insulation put. IN i already MENTIONED i
had that new furnace put in even though it was
only a year. Old we had our dryer vents, Replaced
we've had the fireplace. Swept we're, just you, know perplexed

(52:44):
about what the heck else it could. Be And i've
had THE hvac guy out here several, times and he
bought brought a product out last time called Clean air
that he put in where the intake is or air,
filter and that sort of helped the, air but that
didn't help the. Problem AND i don't know what the solution.

Speaker 8 (53:07):
Is all the time or just, sometimes.

Speaker 2 (53:12):
You, know it seems like it's like between five thirty
and seven thirty at, NIGHT i smell it the. Most,
OKAY i don't know if. That you, know when the
air conditioner it's starting to get a little cooler and
it's not running quite as. Much maybe and then but
during the, day my wife AND i both are doing some.

(53:35):
Coughing you. Know we've checked for the. GASES i had
the gas company out twice seeing if there was some
kind of a natural gas, leak and there wasn't. Any
nothing showed up at all. There we have a gas
hot water. Heater i've had my plumber out checking. That

(53:56):
that seems to be working. Right we've checked the vents
and that doesn't seem to be a. Problem they're. Open i've,
heard you, know maybe a bird's nest or something like.
That but that exhaust is coming back down into our
house from somewhere and we just can't find.

Speaker 8 (54:13):
It and you have hit all the. Marks i'm not
sure where to tell you to go from.

Speaker 2 (54:18):
Here, YEAH i JUST i don't. EITHER i heard your
show on the ear. Today i've listened to you in
the past AND i, said you, know Maybe jim can
help me. Out maybe he's GOT i know you have
a plumbing, COMPANY i, think and an air conditioning.

Speaker 4 (54:36):
Company.

Speaker 2 (54:36):
Bowsman, okay if.

Speaker 8 (54:39):
The events have been checked and you know all the
work that you've had done on THE, hvac the part
that's bothering me is when did this all? START i,
mean that's just not that long.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
Ago probably About february Or march it. Started it was
much worse in the. Beginning so all of these steps
That i've taken and have helped. Some we were out
of the house for about over three. Months we just
couldn't stand it because if we would come into the
house it Would i'd get so choked, Up i'd have

(55:12):
to go out and you, know spit it out and
all that kind of. Stuff so we couldn't even live
in the. House but we're back in.

Speaker 8 (55:19):
It have you had the attic checked for any critters up?

Speaker 12 (55:27):
There?

Speaker 2 (55:29):
Yes, yeah and they did that check. It they took
out all of the roll insulation we had and put
in the blown. Insulation and when they took out the,
role they, checked you, know, everywhere and they said, no
there was no mold. There and we have two attics,
upstairs one above our master bedroom is a little small

(55:51):
attice and then there's the major one over the rest
of our, house, right so we have two units. There
and we had all the all rolled insulation the house
was built nineteen. Eighty we had that taken out and
we had all of the, insulation the blown in insulation put,
in and redid the duct work up, there you, know

(56:13):
and it looks immaculate up in my attic. Now we
got rid of all the cardboard boxes and all that
kind of stuff before we had the mold remediation. Done
but we just can't find where that problem's coming. From
i'm thinking that the only THING i might be able to,
do but it's very, expensive would be to even though

(56:36):
the air conditioner is only a year and a half,
old is maybe replacing the it's a good min air
conditioner and our furnace is.

Speaker 8 (56:45):
Good it's not going to be.

Speaker 9 (56:47):
That it's.

Speaker 8 (56:56):
Because you'd be throwing good money after that if you
replace this system that.

Speaker 2 (57:00):
Way, yeah and they're twice as expensive as WHEN i
put it in a year and a half. Ago it seems, like,
yeah we were going to upgrade, it maybe to like
a train system, now to see if that would, Help.

Speaker 8 (57:13):
But it would not Make it would not make any
difference on that you have something else going.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
On, YEAH i got merror filter thirteen's in the. House
so that's the.

Speaker 8 (57:26):
Fact that it gets more pronounced when the system comes,
off you, know when it starts slowing. Down almost sounds
like and this is WHY i asked if you've had
the attic check for, Critters it almost sounds like you've
got some type of animal that has nested somewhere and

(57:47):
when they nest in the house and they start giving
birth in, there and some of them will end up
dying in the walls or in the attic and. Stuff
what you're describing is exactly what that would be.

Speaker 4 (58:01):
Like.

Speaker 2 (58:03):
Hm, well when they did remediate our dean area upstairs
and they opened that, up and there was a lot
of rat, poop i'll call, it, yeah but it was.

Speaker 3 (58:19):
Old, Yeah and.

Speaker 2 (58:22):
We thought we had squirrels about five years ago up.
There AND i got some of the little metal traps
and put them out on our back patio and put
some corn in, there AND i was able to catch
two of the squirrels THAT i think were going into
into the attic AND i took them and dumped them
in another area to get them out of my. Hair and,

(58:45):
yeah but other than, THAT i did call a company
to come in for after we found the rat poop
in the. Wall when they took that out to do
the mold, remediation there wasn't mold much mold back, there
but there was quite a bit of rat. Coops so
they got that.

Speaker 8 (59:03):
Out because it would only cost a few, DOLLARS i,
mean nothing expensive at. ALL i would have somebody come
out and check for any type of animals because it
could be, squirrel it could be, raccoon you, know it

(59:23):
doesn't have to be a rat or something like. That
it could be several different types of. Critters they can
do with what you're. DESCRIBING i don't.

Speaker 2 (59:34):
Know if other when they had the, insulation they didn't
find any residue from the, rats but if it, was you,
know on the floor of the, ceiling but they did
find it on the, wall but they thought it was
three or four years old and there wasn't any fresh up.

(59:56):
There but, yeah.

Speaker 8 (59:58):
Because what you're described be new with you because it
goes down or the, problem you, know increase is when
THE ac system is, off tells me it's not going
to be in THAT ac. System it's going to be
something else that is, there and that's. Reading i'm kind
of thinking something along that.

Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
Lines, okay, Well i'll call an animal control guy or something.

Speaker 8 (01:00:24):
THAT Abc Pest control has a division that deals with
that kind of. Stuff and If i'm not, mistaken they
actually have a dog that can sniff stuff like that. Out,
okay so it may want to talk with.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
Them, Okay i'll do, that all, right all, RIGHT i appreciate.

Speaker 3 (01:04:52):
FINE i was kind of concerned about you at the
beginning of the. SHOW i had this image of you
sitting all alone at the ranch with no one to.
Talk but apparently you got to pass.

Speaker 8 (01:05:01):
That, well let me tell you how tough it. IS
i sit here at the at the a we call
The Dutton. RANCH i live on an acre and a.
Half i've got a four and a half acre. POND
i sit out here and look at AND i watch
the squirrels and the, birds and it's a tough.

Speaker 3 (01:05:17):
Life life is.

Speaker 4 (01:05:18):
Rough, yeah it is a tough.

Speaker 10 (01:05:20):
One, HEY i got a from the.

Speaker 3 (01:05:23):
Gentleman he just called. You it's, like, gosh you went
through his whole. House the only THING i could think
of on that was the if he's got a gas
water heater and somehow it's pulling funes off of, that
if it's in a closet or, something.

Speaker 8 (01:05:34):
Right but he's mentioned he had the plumbers out to
check that already as, Well so oh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
Wow, well maybe my question is a little. Simpler i've
got about a three twenty four year.

Speaker 17 (01:05:47):
Old, house AND i see it's a real common issue
with an attached.

Speaker 9 (01:05:51):
Garage so it's sheet, rock and especially close.

Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
To the, doors you, know the realm up door paint
tends to. Peel And i've tried to paint in the
past and they just use the cheapest into your paint
and slap it on, there and if you try to
paint it usually breaks it loose even. More you, know
it's a damp location, really and it's not climate.

Speaker 17 (01:06:16):
Control what would work.

Speaker 3 (01:06:18):
To to make that it here where you could actually
BECAUSE i need to paint my garage, Inside, well the first.

Speaker 8 (01:06:25):
Thing you're gonna end up doing is uh scraping that paint.
Off what you'll find is if you'll take a putty, knife,
uh it literally will scrape off in.

Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
Sheets it'll come off in.

Speaker 4 (01:06:37):
Sheets.

Speaker 8 (01:06:38):
Yeah, yeah and then you're gonna have to uh primer
seal those.

Speaker 7 (01:06:42):
Walls USE.

Speaker 8 (01:06:46):
I use N ceka and use a primer sealer on.
It then you can go ahead and put some paint on.
It and you can expect this problem is going to
happen again into years.

Speaker 3 (01:07:02):
Twenty. YEARS i probably won't be too worried about.

Speaker 12 (01:07:04):
It but.

Speaker 17 (01:07:06):
So with bill base water based either either make a.

Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
Difference, no it won't make any.

Speaker 17 (01:07:13):
Difference, no, good, Okay yeah That I've i've dealt with
that at other.

Speaker 3 (01:07:20):
People's you, know it's just before you know, it you've
stripped off half of the ceiling and the garage and
you can't stop.

Speaker 8 (01:07:29):
It so you can't and and and it's it's like
you said, though it's it's the moisture because the humidity
levels are so high in those, garages the paper on
the sheet rock takes on that moisture and everything just let's.

Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
Loose, YEAH i won't you know the, pain it just
gets under it and feels.

Speaker 9 (01:07:49):
Long, ye Because i'm how.

Speaker 3 (01:07:50):
To, read, uh retake the corner scenes and stuff as,
well because.

Speaker 16 (01:07:55):
They come up with too so, yeah but.

Speaker 4 (01:08:00):
Thinking it was going to Go, Jim but.

Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Yeah sometimes better just to hear from The providen's been through.

Speaker 12 (01:08:05):
It.

Speaker 8 (01:08:06):
Yep, Okay well, sir you have a great.

Speaker 17 (01:08:10):
Weekend glad well you too appreciate your.

Speaker 9 (01:08:13):
Show thank, you, Sir thank you.

Speaker 8 (01:08:18):
And again seven one three two one two five eight seven.
Four And i'll see WHAT i can do to help
you out here On Texas Home improvement seven one three
two one two five eight seven. Four, Tim this Is.
Jim how CAN i help?

Speaker 9 (01:08:33):
You, Yeah, JIM i got a problem with vinyl. FLOURING
i have a couple of condos and different complexes and,
UH i usually had, carpet got rid of the, carpet
put tile and then because of the, age foundation moves
and the cracks show. Up in the, grouse AND i, said,
well enough of, this let me go to vinyl thinking,
waterproof and, uh reality IS i put the vinyl flooring.

(01:08:57):
Down looks good for about a, year and then THAT
i noticed that the tin vinyl flooring that's going over
the slab affort's been, sized starts to bubble. Up, well
it look like it's bubbling up underneath the. Adheeser, yeah
AND i don't know what's causing, that whether or not
it's just moisture whipping up through the. Slab. Building it

(01:09:17):
was built in nineteen sixty four and got crafts and
stuff like.

Speaker 8 (01:09:21):
That let me do. This i'm gonna put you on
hold BECAUSE i got to take a break for, news
traffic and. Weather and let's come back and address that because,
yeah there are some issues that are causing. That let's
talk About southern water, solutions because let's face, it our
water is just not that great, anymore and it's always getting.
Worse so we're getting stuck with having to filter our,

(01:09:43):
water use you, know water softeners and reverse osmosis, systems
all these different things to make the water usable in our.
Homes And Southern Water solutions they know how to treat
all these water issues that you're. Having the first thing
they do is they come out and they test the.
Water then they can design a system around the water

(01:10:06):
that's coming into your. Home so Call Southern Water solutions
at eight three two five nine three thirty nine ninety.
Three that's eight three two five nine three thirty nine
ninety three For Southern Water.

Speaker 7 (01:10:21):
Solutions Jim dutton is not, perfect but he's always.

Speaker 6 (01:10:27):
Right here's more With jim On Texas Home.

Speaker 8 (01:10:31):
Improvements, hey welcome back To Texas How improvement seven one,
three two one two five eight seven. Four when we,
LEFT i was talking With tim and, Uh, tim these
vinyl floors that you had put down that they're kind
of starting to bubble. Up did they put the adhesive

(01:10:55):
everywhere or just strips of? It because some of them
have started doing.

Speaker 9 (01:10:59):
Strips, no after the floor got, sized you know with
the sementatious, product then you come in with the, glue
right to cover the whole floor with the, glue and
then you lay the vinyl plank down on top of.

Speaker 8 (01:11:13):
It, okay you used, planks, yeah, okay and so the
planks are starting to bubble.

Speaker 9 (01:11:20):
Up, well what's happening is that the glue or he's
it is bawling up underneath and creating an impression that
shows through the vinyl plank because it's just a thin,
vinyl you, know eight inch vinyl, plank and when the
glue gets, wet it appears that the glue combines or

(01:11:42):
rolls together and makes like a bubble, underneath and that
transfers through the thin vinyl floor.

Speaker 7 (01:11:49):
Plank, okay.

Speaker 9 (01:11:53):
To, me it appears That i'm talking to my floor
guy at one of them where we knew that water
coming looking up the slab was an issue because of
improper slope on the condo. Foundation we got that changed
out and you, know basically did another floor on. Top
but Now i'm showing it up in another complex that's you,

(01:12:14):
know an older, complex and it's got you, know whole foundation, slabs,
right And i'm sure that there's moisture waking up through
that and it's doing the same type of bubbling of
the vinyl flooring that's been laid the exact same. Way,
Yeah and So i'm, looking is there some way to
truly waterproof water waking up through the slab THAT i

(01:12:36):
can stop this coagulation so to, speak of the glue
that transfers into the, vinyl or DO i need a
different type of vinyl product where substrate is vinyl also and.
Thicker And i'm just looking for a solution BECAUSE i
don't want to keep changing.

Speaker 8 (01:12:51):
Floors, yeah and quite, frankly, no there's not going to
be something that you can put on the inside that's
going to keep the moisture from coming, through BECAUSE i
think what you're getting is actually bubbles of, water probably
more so than the mostly plumping. Up and if you're
getting that much moisture coming through, there there's got to

(01:13:14):
be a drainage issue on the. Outside, well you, know.

Speaker 9 (01:13:20):
Built in nineteen sixty four along one of The, Bayou's,
YEAH i would think that there's probably issues like. That
but so it's.

Speaker 8 (01:13:27):
Fun but what happens, is you know when the house
is that, old, uh and people don't think about, this
but the grass has been mode for, decades the landscaping
has been changed out over the, decades and everything builds
up higher than when it was originally. Built it changes
the flow of the water and a lot of times

(01:13:49):
just some regrading of the yard and landscaping clears this problem.

Speaker 9 (01:13:54):
Up, YEAH i know THAT i can see the slab itself,
still so it's not you, know covering up to where
the repoles are getting water, in or it's kind of
be coming up through the base of this. Foundation the.
Slab it, does it.

Speaker 8 (01:14:10):
Does but the higher the higher the ground is because you.
Should when a structure is, built it typically has about
four inches of concrete, showing and as decades go, by
it gets less and less and then more and more
moisture is going into the. Slab and if we got
areas where it starts ponding or, standing you'll get even

(01:14:31):
more moisture coming. IN i had that same issue in
my house built in seventy. THREE i brought a skid
steer home and regraded the yard so that water would
not puddle up in the front any, longer you, know
let it drain, off and it cleared up all my.

Speaker 9 (01:14:49):
Problems, Well i'm not seeing any evidence of that on
the condo building of twelve, units, Okay And i'm just
talking about two units THAT i own in that, mirure
And i'm just looking for. Solutions it's knowing That i'm
not going to regrade the whole condo, complex you know
that that's not a possible and knowing THAT i don't

(01:15:09):
see ponding of. Water i'm working for a solution to
be able. Up say what's the best flooring to put? Down?
Carpet IF i take this vom flooring, Up oh, god
that's the last of my desires for.

Speaker 8 (01:15:20):
Condo you ask what's the best and the reason the
carpet is the best as the moisture comes, through the
air conditioning system is able to dehumidify and take that moisture.
Out what's what all these new floors that we're using
is trapping moisture that used to just evaporate in the
air under.

Speaker 9 (01:15:39):
It, Right, yeah they're, IMPERVIOUS i. Understand so maybe maybe
that's the only solution is to go back to carp
and just change the carpet out every time a tend
it movest for the most, part rather than trying to
screw with this flooring because this floor is not working
with this impervious. Cover, okay all, right, YEAH i appreciate your.
Information take care you.

Speaker 8 (01:16:02):
Too and it's a, problem it's a growing. Problem and you,
know our air conditioning systems are big dehumidifiers that take
that moisture out of the, air and so you, know
when you have those kind of. Issues, uh the vinyl
floors and even tile floors can tend to have. Problems

(01:16:23):
when you put tile, down you'll start getting effhorescence that
comes up in the grout. Lines so it's it's, tough
but typically the carpet ends up being the best. Solution
seven one, three two one two five eight seven Four
david In Jacino. City how CAN i help?

Speaker 18 (01:16:44):
You, Yeah, JIM i was listening earlier and y'all had
you had a call about smell on the. Earth whenever
it shuts, off.

Speaker 8 (01:16:56):
It's a continuous. Smell it goes up and it smells
exhaust to.

Speaker 18 (01:17:00):
Them, Okay so what my problem was WAS i had
gutters put on my, house new guters put on my,
house and the overflow was draining into the front. Gutter
so you couldn't see when the primary was backed up
unless you went outside and looked.

Speaker 9 (01:17:22):
Physically.

Speaker 18 (01:17:24):
Okay so that's that's what my problem. Was it was
my primary was backed. UP i cleaned it, OUT i
flushed the overflow pan.

Speaker 8 (01:17:34):
Out, okay AND i could see.

Speaker 4 (01:17:39):
That.

Speaker 8 (01:17:40):
Uh now he's he's had THE ac people out multiple
times and replaced the unit. TWICE i heard, That.

Speaker 9 (01:17:48):
BUT i, mean you, know it could be something. Simple oh,
yeah could be just you could.

Speaker 18 (01:17:54):
Be just a clogged drain.

Speaker 12 (01:17:55):
Line.

Speaker 8 (01:17:55):
Yep, Okay so that's.

Speaker 18 (01:17:59):
That's that's my. OPINION i MEAN i was just offering
it a no.

Speaker 8 (01:18:03):
PROBLEM i appreciate.

Speaker 4 (01:18:04):
It.

Speaker 9 (01:18:04):

Improvement welcome back seven one, three two one two five
eight seven. Four let's head back to a spring branch And,
mike this Is jim how CAN i help?

Speaker 20 (01:22:50):
You, Hey, jim how are you?

Speaker 9 (01:22:52):
Today?

Speaker 8 (01:22:53):
Wonderful how about?

Speaker 10 (01:22:54):
You i'm doing real?

Speaker 20 (01:22:56):
Good calling with the question about a PRODUCT i. PURCHASED
i haven't installed it. Yet it's called a Clog Free
lines and it disperses vinegar into your condensate train line
for YOUR ac so it lives up in the attic
yep in every thirty days it doses AND i you,

(01:23:18):
know so my choice was between this product and Eye,
flow AND i found this product has a one galling
holding basin and you just refill it yourself with vinegar
versus the Eye flow that has a specialized. Cartridge AND
i wanted to see what your thoughts were on one
versus the, other or either you, know The.

Speaker 8 (01:23:41):
EFlow which is the other one that you can pick
up at even the box. STORES i have recommended that
to several people because if you've got a system that
the algae and mildew and stuff grows on a regular
basis in the drain, pipe it will help keep it cleared.
Out but you, know dumping vinegar in, there dumping bleach in,

(01:24:08):
there any of those items would. Help, NO i don't
mix the two together dump in.

Speaker 20 (01:24:12):
There so the only THING i didn't like about the
eye flow is that EVERY i think it's like it
was a six month, cartridge right versus this, one the
clog free lines one was a whole gallon of vinegar
or whatever you want to put in, THERE i, guess
but it recommends. Vinegar have you heard of that?

Speaker 8 (01:24:30):
ONE i have not heard of that, one to be
honest with.

Speaker 20 (01:24:33):
YOU i, mean if vinegar would do, It i'd rather
only have to go up there once a.

Speaker 8 (01:24:38):
Year well how much is it dispersing? Though each time one?

Speaker 20 (01:24:44):
Cup it says in a, Gallon so there's sixteen cups
in a, Gallon so, like really you get a little
bit more than a.

Speaker 9 (01:24:49):
Year but a year.

Speaker 20 (01:24:50):
Comfortably, Yeah SO i went with the clog free lines
set up because just BECAUSE i don't really like being
owned by the you, know LIKE i gotta buy your
car is now and, yeah and then six months versus a,
year but just having to buy a Specific but so
the vinegar thing does work though it should, okay all, right,

(01:25:11):
well And.

Speaker 8 (01:25:13):
I'll tell you up front the REASON i don't mind the.
Cartridge your system should be serviced every six months, anyways
and that's when the cartridge would get changed.

Speaker 3 (01:25:21):
Out that's.

Speaker 20 (01:25:23):
RIGHT i GUESS i service mind, annually BUT i guess
maybe i'm a little really every six. Months.

Speaker 8 (01:25:31):
Yep you're supposed to be doing it in the spring
and to.

Speaker 20 (01:25:33):
Fall all, Right well.

Speaker 8 (01:25:38):
There you, Go oki.

Speaker 20 (01:25:40):
Dok all, right WELL i appreciate, It thank, you.

Speaker 8 (01:25:44):
You bet take care and look for a lot of.
People if you're using media filters and you got like
a four to six inch media filter up, there you
let your ac guy change that out every time they
can them out to do a service and check on.
Everything that's how you avoid, breakdowns and that's how you

(01:26:05):
keep your system working longer and more cost, effective because
when capacitors start getting weak and different things like, that
it can start working on your energy bills as. Well
so there is reasons why you don't run your car
a year without taking it in and having it. Service
your air conditioning system is really no. Different all, right

(01:26:30):
let's see, here go To seabrook And. Carla this Is.
Jim how CAN i help?

Speaker 16 (01:26:36):
You, Hey, jim it's good to talk to. YOU i
was listening a minute ago to the gentleman that was
having the problem with the exhaust.

Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
Smell in his.

Speaker 16 (01:26:45):
House, yes AND i felt terrible that he replace that
air condition or the front. Twice it's. Awful but WHAT
i was, thinking my daughter and son in law recently
had an, issue and it turned out with theirs they
were actually her husband was getting. Sick it was affecting
him physically like it was these. People and what it

(01:27:07):
turned out to be in their case was some furniture
they had purchased in the not too distant, past and
so much of the furniture is not real. Wood it's got.
Products it's made, overseas and it's got a wood product
that has formald a hat in it off, gases and
that was what their problem. Was SO i just was,
thinking they've had everything in their attic and the, systems

(01:27:30):
maybe they should check inside their.

Speaker 8 (01:27:31):
House very you know, What you're one hundred percent, correct
because that's very reminiscent of when we had the drywall
issue From china where it was off gassing people were
getting sick from. It it was an older issue as.
Well their house is old enough that it wouldn't fall in.

Speaker 4 (01:27:51):
That but.

Speaker 8 (01:27:53):
But you're right bringing in another piece of furniture or
something that or flooring that was replaced because we had
an issue From chinese import with floors doing the same. Thing,
now you think we'd learned to quit importing From, china wouldn't?

Speaker 16 (01:28:10):
You you would, think, well that is actually what caused
my son in law's health. Issues the house he grew
up in when he was a, teener, teenager he's like thirty.
Now the house he grew up as a teenager had
that from alda, hat That chinese flooring that off, guests
and it caused, him his mom and sister all extreme
health issues to this. Day so something to think.

Speaker 8 (01:28:31):
About, okay, Well, CARLO i appreciate that because you might
have hit the nail on the.

Speaker 16 (01:28:35):
HEAD i hope, SO i hope they get some. Help good,
Mud thank, you thank.

Speaker 8 (01:28:40):
