Speaker 1 (00:00):
November twenty eighteen, Dan Crenshaw was elected to Congress. I'm
(00:05):
embarrassed to say I helped in that effort. I believed
he would be a very good congressman from what he
said and from what others told me. I worked very
hard to get him elected to Congress with a pure
heart and the best of intentions. I typically don't get
(00:26):
that involved in races, and I have been disappointed ever since, terribly,
to the point that some days I wished I had
never been involved in supporting a single candidate. It brought
me such embarrassment, disappointment, and regret, and I have often
(00:49):
pledged that if a good candidate ran in that race,
that I would support that candidate to a greater extent
than I had reared Dan Crenshaw. Steve Toath is announcing
today that he will be running in that congressional seat.
He is a state representative. He is a big part
(01:13):
of the Freedom Caucus in the state House. He lives
in the district, and he is very popular among the base.
That is MAGA folks, that is folks that share my values.
He will be our guest coming up in the next segment.
His event tonight at six point thirty at Grace Woodland's Church,
(01:36):
which is where he will be announcing. Chad Prather will
be hosting. There will be other members of the State House,
the folks that do good work. There are actually some
good ones up there in what he is calling his big,
beautiful announcement. Steve Toth will be our guest coming up
in just a few moments. If you have a question
(01:56):
for him, or as always, if you have anything related
to the show during the show, you can email me
during the show, and I'm pretty good about catching those
emails and trying to incorporate those if you send them,
especially before we start the conversation that's coming up in
about seven minutes. Ice says that in June alone, they
(02:19):
arrested one thousand, three hundred sixty one illegals in the
Houston area who were charged with or convicted of crimes
after entering the US. Thirty two of them had been
arrested for child sex crimes, and one was convicted of
(02:41):
hijacking an airplane traveling from Cuba to Key West, Florida.
Ice says all of the thirteen hundred sixty one illegals
arrested in Houston alone are currently charged or have been
convicted of a crime after any of the US notable
arrest in June by ICE's Houston Field off was included.
Luis Pablo Vosquez Estellano, twenty nine year old from Mexico
(03:05):
who has been deported six different times and has convictions
of homicide, aggravated robbery, vehicle burglary, and drug possession. He
was arrested June tenth. Jose Mesa forty year old from
Mexico who has entered the US four times. Has convictions
for sexual assault of a minor and theft. He was
(03:25):
arrested June tenth. Arnulfo Olivarez Cervantes, forty seven year old
from Mexico, former Mexican gang member who has entered the
US six times and has convictions for cocaine trafficking, attempted murder,
evading arrest, illegal entry, and drug possession. Who's arrested June thirteen.
(03:46):
Javier Escobar Gonzalez fifty one year old from Mexico. Convictions
for sexual indecency with a minor, criminal trespass with a
deadly weapon, driving while intoxicated, and unauthorized use of a firearm.
Arrested June twenty third. A Derrimus Wilson Gonzalez, fifty six
year old from Cuba, convicted in three of hijacking an
(04:07):
airplane from Cuba to Key West. Arrested June twenty nine.
Not every one of the illegal alien men who come
here is a child sex predator, but a lot of
them are a lot of them are. Check They traffic children,
and they rape children. You're getting the worst of the worst,
(04:29):
the absolute creeps, the predators, men who view little girls
and boys as sexual objects. You don't want them in
your country. You don't need them in your country. And
the cost you bear that maybe your lettuce costs less
because of it. Not really, it's too much.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
He's eating right now.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
He can't be the Michael Berry.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Sir, Please do not call him the fat pig.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
See I'm trying to be nice.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Don't call him a fat pig. In what is being
called cryptoweek, bitcoin bulls are very, very hopeful. This is
the week. Bitcoin is the original digital currency, and it
(05:17):
hit a new high of one hundred and twenty three
thousand yesterday, more than double its value from one year ago.
We have a show sponsor called Archpublic dot com. They
do not sell bitcoin. It is a platform through which
you buy and sell bitcoin. It is more the exchange
(05:42):
than it is the seller of the coin, but it's
based on a set of algorithms they have created that
allow you to trade at to buy and sell. To
simplify what they do at a certain time, whether you know,
if bitcoin rises to one twenty five thousand, you could
(06:03):
buy at that number, or if you're worried that it's dropped,
it's gonna drop if it drops to one twenty, so
you could have kind of a stopgap gap a floor
of one twenty. The reason that's important is because whereas
the New York Stock Exchange is only open for a
(06:23):
limited window during the day, Bitcoin can be traded twenty
four to seven. So if you're trying to sell at
the moment that it hits a particular number, that might
happen at two eighteen in the morning, and you're not
around to see that they are well. I will get
(06:44):
into that in just a moment, But this is for
folks who are watching cryptocurrency. This is the week to
watch it because what Congress does this week could make
crypto go absolutely crazy. It's going to be interesting to watch.
The aforementioned Steve Toath announcing today that he will be
running for congress representative from currently state Representative Steve Toath.
(07:08):
Welcome to the program.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Great to do with you, Michael. You're not supposed to
call me representative though my wife won't let me hang
out with you if you do.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Yeah, I understand. Yeah, representative take out the trash. That's
that's an old standard and I love it. Uh. First
of all, let's talk about before we get into your biography.
I always ask if you're running against a candidate in
your own party who is holding an office, there needs
to be something you feel they're not doing well and
(07:36):
you can do better. And so let's start with that premise. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
So Frenshaw came into the Woodlands, which house Sister fifteen
that I represent. It is in Congressional District two, and
this is you know, three ors two, three years ago
when he sided with the Democrats to say that we
want to pass legislation that allows five thousand people into
(08:05):
the United States every single day. And when it hits
five thousand, it then drops down to fourteen hundred. So
sixty four hundred people into the in the United States
every year, in other words, nearly two million people. Michael
and when we said it's not acceptable, he just absolutely
(08:26):
belittled us, denigrated us, Me and Senator Creighton saying this
is not acceptable. We're not going to put up with that.
We want the border closed. And he said this is
the best that we can do. And we're like, just
close the border and if you won't close the border,
get the hell out of our way. We can close
the border. And he laughed at us and said, Texas
(08:46):
can't close its border. You need the FEDS to do
that for you, which we've closed the border in the past.
We have done that. The only thing that we needed
was for the United States federal government to get out
of our way so that we could do it. And so, yeah,
he betrayed us, absolutely has betrayed us. You know, Trump
saying close the border, and Biden said, we can't close
(09:08):
the border. We need legislation to close the border. And
you know, in one of the Democrats and then Crenshaw
sided with Biden to keep the border open and to
allow this catastrophe to go on.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
You know, I find Cringshaw to be consistent with neocons
in that they want to send our men abroad to
fight every war and open our borders to allow illegal
aliens here. Those two go part and parcel. And it's
not until you understand the the forum that they go
(09:45):
to in Davos and that that is the mindset wars
abroad illegal immigration at home, and they hold dear to
both of those. But almost every Neocon is for wide
open borders of so sort or another. And it's interesting
how those two go together hand in glove. It's almost
(10:06):
as if that's how they're told they're supposed to feel
on the issue. It's very disturbing. They also want to
relocate as quote unquote refugees. Half the countries that we
after we invade and bomb and lose our men, let's
bring some of their folks home while we lose hours
over there. It drives me nuts. I'll let you talk.
You're the candidate. Let's talk about you. Let's talk about who.
(10:28):
Steve tolde this for someone who doesn't know who you are.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
I'm a small business owner and I'm a pastor. I've
done marriage, family life counseling for thirty years and it's
been the greatest thrill of my life. I still do
a lot of it. I love veterans. I feel a
deep sense of obligation towards them because I feel like
I missed out on something as a young man. We're
(10:55):
at peace, we weren't at war when I got out
of school, and I never went into the military. I
feel like I should have. I feel like all young
men should do that. It's something of a character building experience,
but it's also an incredible thing to do for your nation.
And I feel like I missed out on that, and
I feel like I just have an obligation towards it.
(11:16):
And so I got involved with Chad Robis Show several
years ago in starting Mighty Oaks for a faith based
veteran service organization, and it's just been the greatest thrill
of my life to be part of it. I'm married
for forty two years. I am a grandfather, I have Michael,
two sets of twins. Both sets of twins were born
(11:39):
six years apart to the month. And what else can
I say? Small business owner, have a dozen employees and
we have a cool construction and service business.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
And you have done that for how long?
Speaker 3 (11:54):
Third twenty twenty five years?
Speaker 1 (11:57):
And you have been a state rep for how long?
Speaker 3 (12:02):
This is? This will be my fifth term, and uh,
I'm I'm right now, it's about eight and a half years.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
So the obvious fact running for UH Congress in even
numbered years, you'll have to give up your state rep seat? Correct?
Speaker 3 (12:20):
Correct?
Speaker 1 (12:21):
And is there a candidate in the offing that you
support or just leaving that open to the to the
to the voters.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Yet?
Speaker 1 (12:34):
All right, hold up, hold with.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
Me for this moment.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Be your big mister Michael Berry.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
State Representative Steve Toathe is our guest. He is announcing today.
There will be a gathering this evening for the big
announcement that he is running for the United States Congress.
The last congressional king that we had to announce on
our show was Morgan Lattrell, who cruised to a big
(13:06):
victory in his race. Steve toth A will be ten
year state rep. Challenging Dan Crinshaw, who will be finishing
his fourth term as a United States Congressman. Steve Toath,
let's talk first about tonight for folks who want to
come out and be with you at your announcement, can
(13:27):
you give those details?
Speaker 3 (13:30):
You bet, Michael, So we'll be at Grace Church at
six o'clock for pizza and food and fun and at
six point thirty the program will begin and Chad Prather
and Kenny Webster are going to be master of ceremonies,
and it just should be a great time. We're going
to have several of the Freedom Caucus people there, including
Ny Chastline, who's going to be heading up the Freedom
(13:52):
Caucus for the Texas House next year. And yeah, it
should be a great, great evening. We're really excited about it.
A lot of people. We've had over one hundred people
to step forward and endorse my campaign, and we're excited,
really excited.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
You know, usually a first time or usually a candidate
for office may not have a political background and votes
they've taken and actions they've taken, and fights they've been
willing to engage. But you do. I think that gives
you a certain amount. There is a frustration in the
(14:27):
land right now, especially in that congressional seat, where folks
say Crenshaw is not one of us, he doesn't share
our values. He belongs to the swamp, he belongs to
the establishment, he belongs to the people who fly you
to Davos in Switzerland and give those big speeches. I
think being a more regular person, a real person at church,
(14:48):
a small business fighting in the state House. I think
that gives you an advantage. It's tough, it's tough to
beat a sitting congressman, but I think that gives you
a leg up that most folks would not enjoy.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
I mean, you've been in an elected office. You know
how it is, and you know how elected office changes people.
And I have a pastor friend that once said to me,
he said, he said, you don't know a man's character
and what he's really made of until you drop him
in hot water. In that way, they're kind of like
(15:24):
a tea bag, right, you don't really know what it
tastes like, You don't really know what it is until
they're dropped in hot water. And there's no hotter water
than politics. And there's just something about it when you
get into when you get into an elected position, that
for whatever reason, it tests a man's character. And so
many of them. I like, you got behind Crenshaw. I
(15:45):
was really concerned about who they were running for that office,
and it was an anointed state rep. That had a
terrible voting record, total swamp creature. And then along comes
this guy that's a war hero, Navy seal, which you
know I love Navy seals. I love veterans, and I
thought this guy was going to be great. Morgan has
done a great job, Michael, he's just been amazing. Wesley
(16:08):
Hunt's doing a great job. Amazing two guys. But Dan
just wanted to become part of the furniture in Washington
as soon as he got there.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
It's frustrating because I've seen things he has said doing
interviews where it's late at night. He doesn't seem to
be at himself. He's very angry, he's raging, he's very
insulting of any constituent who questions him. It is most disappointing.
(16:40):
It's not just that he's gone up there to do nothing,
it's that he's gone up there to be a person
who attacks the very people who voted for him, as
if they're a bunch of heathens or hillbilly's and idiots,
and they don't understand the things he does. It's very disappointing.
He has also reacted in a snarly manner and questioned
(17:00):
about how he has seen such incredible percentage trade increases
on his stock trades. I think I think voters have
every right to ask that question, and he starts cussing
when they ask that that's it's pretty ridiculous if you ask.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Me, he's hot performing Warren Buffett. I mean, the only
person he's not outperforming is Nancy Pelosi.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
And well maybe you know what his career could be,
but I don't know if he could do so well
of you. He doesn't have inside information, right He.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
And Hillary Clinton? Right, I mean, they're just amazing at.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
It's It's an interesting thing, you know. I guess the
one thing you could be really proud of in your
congressional service is the one thing that the base absolutely
despises you for because it's so incredibly, incredibly questionable at
a minimum. And I'm holding my tongue. So what does
it take to win this race? Let's talk about the
(17:54):
parameters of this district and and what this district looks like.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
The southern half of Montgomery County basically all of House
District fifteen, which is my district, and it goes all
the way over to the east side of Montgomery County,
over towards Splendora and Montgomery County is actually fifty five
point five percent of the district Harris County. The east
(18:20):
side of Harris County is only forty four point side
of it, and it goes over you know, starts in
the northeast of Harris County, which is Kingwood down to
a task Casita, Crosby, and Channel View and that's pretty much.
And then it goes along the southern part of Montgomery County,
northern Harris County, which is the Woodlands Creek side, and.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
It has I have looked at the numbers in a minute,
but it has been a reliably Republican district in November,
which makes this primary like the general and a very
very important primary. You know, it strikes me that Crenshaw
is probably a better November candidate than he is a
March candidate.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Exactly. And one of the things that he has prided
himself on when we're doing is redistricting. I was concerned
about how the district was being drawn. I wanted to
draw redder. I wanted it. I wanted it to be
an eighty five percent district. And he cussed me out
for wanting to bring more rural area into it and
less democrat less democrats into it. And he said, only
(19:27):
I could win a district like that, and like you're
proud of that. I mean, I don't want to work
with Democrats. I want to defeat him. I want to
beat him because that's what they want to do to us.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Yeah. I think Crenshaw recognizes that he is better being
a candidate for Democrats who they can deal with, than
Republicans who he won't. Uh, he won't follow what Republican
primary voters want as their baseline. I think Republicans scare
him a lot more than Democrats. I really do.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
Oh absolutely, he does not understand who the Republican base
is because he's not part of you. He's never part
of it. He did a really good job posing as
one of us, but he's never really walked the line.
He's never walked the party line. He's never been interested
in anything that we've really had to say to him.
I've reached out to in my office from time to time.
(20:22):
You know, all of constituents that will have federal issues,
and from time to time congressman will have issues that
are state issues, and we work together. We've never been
able to work with him ever. And so when I
have an issue federal issue for a constituent, I reach
out to Wesley Hunt, or I reach out to Morgan Latrelle,
and their offices are.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Amazing State Representative Steve Toath announcing today he is challenging
Dan Crenshaw in the second Congressional district, once represented by
Ted Poe for a number of years. That announcement tonight,
the big party tonight at Grace Woodland's Church at six
point thirty. We've got about a minute or so. State
(21:03):
Representative Steve Tote, why don't you talk about what you've
done in the State House and I'll let you take
it to the break.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
One of the greatest challenges that we've got up fifteen
years ago when I got into politics, we were winning
elections statewide elections with twenty four point margins. Now it's
only eight. We've got to do a better job at
in powering's parents and getting our school back because they're
inculcating our kids into Marxism and joy listening to both
sessions of your show every day, Michael Mary, he had
(21:33):
the most pleasant boy.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
A Huntsville man the Houston media reported as being a
hate crime victim. Turns out he wasn't a hate crime victim. Surprise.
He claimed racist graffiti had been spray painted on a
home he owned, a rental home, and it said that
(22:01):
it was racist graffiti spray painted by the neighborhood's hoa. Well,
now he's been arrested for arson by the FBI, and
it turns out that the whole scheme was designed to
(22:24):
collect on insurance. As you listen to this story, just
remember this. I don't know what the percentage is it
ninety is it ninety nine? But remember Bubba Wallace and
the noose which wasn't a noose, it was the handle
to pull the cover down. Remember Lebron had the racist
(22:46):
graffiti on his garage, which he got the press statement
out of, but before the police could be there to investigate,
they spray painted over it. Remember Jesse small Att and
the New when he was going for a foot long
at two o'clock in the morning and they screamed, this
is Maga country in downtown Chicago, where I don't think
(23:13):
there's been a white guy walking at two am in
twenty years. And it turned out he hired the two
black dudes who fled immediately. Then there's Rachel Dolasol. She
claimed to be black, but wasn't you see all these
cases of people making these claims because there is a
(23:36):
personal advantage because nobody ever questions it's a benefit to
be black. It's a benefit to be a victim. It's
a benefit to have a horrible thing happen to you.
So the supply and demand don't line up. There's not
(23:56):
enough supply of racist activity to fit the demand. Because
you can get rich, you can be famous, you can
get attention. The story from ABC thirteen.
Speaker 5 (24:09):
When I first sat down in Mario Roberson's Cyprus living
room in June twenty twenty three, he claimed the truth
was coming out. I think the Lord brings.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
To light. When EWL was out, there is shy.
Speaker 5 (24:24):
Just two hours earlier, two people had been killed in
an explosion at Roberson's Huntsville rental home, an incident he
repeatedly implied was linked to alleged racism in the neighborhood's HOA. Racism,
power hungriness, money has gotten us to this place. Weeks
(24:45):
before the fire, Roberson contacted ABC thirteen, claiming the HOA
was behind racist graffiti on his home, and this body
camera video collected the morning of the fire. You can
hear him cite the report well, further implicating the G
group to law enforcement.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
I accuse him on thirty on the news, I let
him know who I thought it was and the reason why.
Speaker 5 (25:08):
But in a newly unsealed federal indictment, authorities claim Roberson
orchestrated both the graffiti and arson, hiring a family member
who hired two others to help start the fire, all
part of a purported attempt to collect insurance money.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Yes, yes, I was standing by one. A y'all come
over the cover and the gas well boom and a cover.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
Law enforcement believes the arson attempt was bungled, killing two
of the three men, including Roberson's relative. This body camera
video shows authorities confronting the sole survivor, who had just
run from the building on fire.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
I'll tell you of the news goose do he too?
He told me bring about you. Tom has a right,
he says, somebody do.
Speaker 5 (26:00):
And a numbers job, according to law enforcement, is commonly
used to describe insurance fraud. Now thirteen investigates found that
Robertson ode more than twenty six thousand dollars in back
taxes on that property. The county put it up for
sale just two days after he first contacted our team.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
That's why you pay so much in insurance because of
clowns like this guy. That is why you pay so
much in insurance because of clowns just like this. February
of twenty twenty three, he purchased additional rental insurance at
his rental property location. May couple months later, speaks to
(26:43):
the media saying his home had been vandalized. Quote knowing
that his property damage had been deliberately commissioned or caused
by him. End quote. But he's a victim of racism
because racism pays, because no one ever makes it not pay,
(27:03):
because no one ever questions. Later that year, he allegedly
recruited and commissioned someone to deliberately set fire to the
home because I guess he didn't get a big enough
payout over the graffiti, or maybe maybe this was supposed
to look like a pattern.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
They tried to drive me out. I said, y'all not
gonna drive me out. You're not gonna drive me out
with just a couple of dirty words. So they burnt
it down. What they did, they burnt it down. So
on June tenth, what a month later, three people enter
the home and set it on fire. Two of the
(27:46):
three men were killed in the purported arson attempt. The
third man ran from the home on fire.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Forgive me, forgive me, but I'd like to see that video.
I really would somebody out there has access to that video.
On the day of the fire, ABC thirteen sat down
with Roberson, who said, quote, racism, power, hungryness, money has
(28:18):
gotten us to this place. What is said? You you
paid three people, including your relative, to burn down your house.
Two of the three burned to death, the other one
was laid up in Shriners. And you're going to say racism, power, hungryness,
(28:46):
money has gotten us to this place. Actually, you're right.
You're racist. You want the power the money gives you.
You're hungry for attention, and of course you like that money.
That is what got us to this place. You are right,
mister Roverson. You know you gotta think this guy, he's
(29:14):
already not very smart, already not very smart, and if
this doesn't get attention, you realize this is going on
all day every day. He buys rental insurance and then
immediately he's hit with graffiti, racist graffiti, and then immediately
he burns it down. The problem here is he hires
(29:36):
three dumbasses, two of which are dead because of it.
How do you manage to kill yourself in your own
arson attempt and the third man ran from the house
on fire. I'm processing. I'm not an expert on arson,
(29:58):
but it kind of feels like maybe you you should
stay outside the fire zone. How stupid did you have
to feel?
Speaker 2 (30:06):
So?
Speaker 1 (30:06):
Do you call old Boy Hey, Mario Boo and little Slang?
They dead. I'm burnt to a Chris. Can you come
get me
