anything this huge before, correct,No, we've not done anything any close

(00:41):
to this size before. That's crazy. Okay, I am just reading the
headlines here, just off the officialposter for Party at the Fort. Okay,
you've got music, food, family, fun, But that doesn't even
touch how amazing this is going tobe. Because when you say music,
you're talking about an entire day ofStony LaRue and Caitland Buttz and Casey West.

working on this? I have beenworking on this for about eighteen months,

(01:27):
and that probably wasn't even enough time. Yeah. No, it is just
a huge undertaking. And I know, you know the Bisonennial. You know
who came up with that, Breenschild, like, hey let's have this big
Bisonennial blowout. Well we had abouteighteen months ago. We started meeting talking
about this thing. You know,we wanted to be big. We wanted

(01:47):
to be you know, off thechart, crazy, big, big,
good time celebrating two hundred I mean, you know, the first town in
Oklahoma to get to celebrate two hundredyears. So we really wanted it to
be big and special and just kickingaround some ideas and we thought, hey,
let's just have us a big oldmusic festival out here in small town,
Oklahoma. So we just kind ofran with it from there and it's

(02:08):
falling into place fortunately, but ithas been a huge undertaking for sure.
Man, that is awesome. Okay, so tell people what to expect they
come down to Fort Gibson on Apriltwentieth. Are there going to be is
there going to be parking? Isthere gonna be tickets? What's going to
be happening? James, Uh,it's crazy. You can go online right

(02:29):
now Party at the Fort dot comto get your tickets to the music festival.
A general admission of VIP tickets available. Those prices will be going up
soon, so they need to getthose now. We have parking lined out
all across town. Fort Gibson's asmall community, so we've got a lot
of areas reserved for parking to handlethe crowds. We're gonna have shuttle buses
to take you from the parking tothe various event sites. We've got stuff

(02:53):
going on downtown. We've got abig celebration out at the Fort. We're
actually attempting the world record take popout at the Fort. What yeah,
yeah, one hundred pound cake pop. That's amazing. All right, Well,
there's something else to see right there. Yeah, we dream big out
here. There's a youth baseball tournamentgoing on, the bisentennial tournament out of

(03:15):
a cal Perry ballpark, and thefourteen Nunders will be playing up at the
high school. We've got activities downtownthat'll have bounce houses and such for the
youngsters. Also have free music goingon downtown and working on another the card
of free music out at the Fortas well. So there's gonna be music
everywhere. You know, big paradethat kicks the events off at ten o'clock

(03:38):
in the morning. Birthday celebration atthe Fort with the big cake popping all
will follow that around eleven thirty ortwelve. Music kicks off at noon.
I mean there is something for everyoneat the Bisonennial celebration in Fort Gibson.
That's great, Okay, so themusic kicks off at noon. You're gonna
have music everywhere. I love that. What about crafts? I also heard

(03:59):
that this was kind of a craftfair as well. Yes, ma'am.
Downtown there's a craft fair going on. There'll be multiple vendors as well,
from T shirts, anything you canimagine will be going on in downtown.
Food, beverages, crafts, tshirt sells, you name it. You're
going to get to participate in seeit have some fun all day event.

(04:20):
That Downtown Craft Fair ends at four, and then we hope everybody just comes
on out to the music fest toenjoy the evening of music and wait for
Stony Tow to wind things up forus. So between now and then they
should be getting on the website andgetting their tickets before they run out,

(04:40):
right, Yes, ma'am, absolutely, you get those tickets now. They
should also just be looking up FortGibson, maybe going by because I didn't
realize that Fort Gibson was the oldesttown in Oklahoma. Yes, ma'am,
we're the oldest town two hundred years. First one to get to celebrate that.
We've got a lot of his historyhere in the town. The fort
has been rejuvenated. They've got anew director out there, Jennifer Frasey with

(05:01):
the Oklahoma Historical Society, does anamazing job bringing back the life of the
fort from decades ago. It's beensitting kind of silent, but it's amazing
out there. Lots of reenactments andthings going on all the time. We've
got a historic downtown to walk through, Centennial Park, the National Cemetery here
in town, plus the Cherokee NationCemetery Historical Site. There just a lot

(05:27):
to see. You'll want to comeearly, you know, ahead of the
time, throughout March and take alook around, see what's going on,
look at the venue, site wherethat's going to be, Know where you're
going because it's going to be afull busy day. I think that's a
really great idea. Just take aweekend, take a week night, go
to Fort Gibson and kind of getthe lay of the land because there is
so much to see and do.I had no idea that there was so

(05:49):
much there, including the National Cemetery. Once we started talking about this,
I had a discussion with a ladywho had gone down and done wreaths across
America the National Cemetery and they hadlaid out reads at Christmas time and she
said it was such a moving experienceand she had no idea that the Cemetery
was so grand that it was there. Oh, it is a remarkable place

(06:11):
to be just just the history andthe solemn piece that you get out there.
It's a beautiful, beautiful era.You know, people that have ever
been there just think cemetery and theythink, wow, that's really depressing and
you know, not something I wantto go to, but you've got to
come see the National Cemetery. It'sit's i mean, just gorgeous and just
all the you know, the history. It will take at the heartstrings for
sure. But Christmas time, MemorialDay great times to come out. But

(06:36):
it's an interesting place just to comesee anytime. How far away is Fort
Gibson from Tulsa proper about forty minutes? Okay, that is not a lot.
Wa must do we turn back?Say that's pretty much a commute for
most of our most of the listeners. Oh yeah, absolutely, people drive
further than that to work every dayexactly. So forty minutes sounds like a

(06:59):
d all right. So think itshould be going down there, kind of
visiting Ford Gibson, getting the layof the land, checking out everything.
And then on Saturday morning, thetwentieth, they're headed down there. Craft
Fair begins when that'll kick off, following the parade at about noon. Oh
holy cow, I forgot all aboutthe parade. Good grief. Yeah,
that's right. That kicks off atten o'clock and then everything just follows that.

(07:21):
Oh that's amazing, all right. What is the theme of the parade?
Old town, old town Fort Gibson. That's what we're gonna that's what
we're bringing back old days. Ifeel myself with a horse and buggy.
Yeah, absolutely, we're Actually we'llhave a military band in it. We're
gonna have some of the reenactment actorsfrom the Fort will be participating in the
parade, highlighting a lot of oursmall, smaller bands from the area that

(07:43):
don't get to do big events likethis, and of course our own really
regiment from the Fort Gibson High Schoolis going to be highlighted in the show.
We're going to have floats. Youknow, we're expecting Rose Bowl type
stuff going on here. Carlo. We're really excited about the parade. I'm
so excited about this. This isgonna be great. Okay, So the
parade kicks off at noon and everythingjust kind of follows the Craft Fair.

(08:05):
The music starts. There's music everywhere, and you got to get your tickets
if you want to get into thebig shows. Right, that's right,
yes, ma'am, right, it'sthe fourth dot Com. Go get those
tickets now. I love that.I hate to even ask this one,
James, but is there a contingencyplan if it rains. This is an
all weather event. Everybody's ready togo. So unless you know, unless

(08:28):
we have lightning that shuts us down, which you know, we'll pause as
long as we can on that. But barring a tornado coming at us,
we're going to party. Don't evensay that word, James, don't even
say that's right, Well, it'sappropriate. We're on the Twister, right,
so absolutely, I was gonna say, well, the Twister is going
to be there for sure. Well, I so appreciate your your time today.

(08:54):
Is there anything else that you thinkof, James that you're like,
Okay, I really want you tohighlight this going forward. Well, really
it is just you know, getthose tickets and come. Our VIP tickets
are limited, and that's going tobe a really special, special place to
be for the concert. We've gotgreat catering, great service going on there,
but we are limited. We're onlyselling so many tickets to this event,

(09:16):
so if you want to go,you need to get out there and
get them. And even if youdon't want to come to the show,
to the festival, we've got somuch going on in town, you're you're
just going to want to come checkus out, have some fun. And
see what it's like to walk throughthe oldest town in Oklahoma. I love
that. And so yeah, evenif those tickets are gone, even if
the you know, the concert ticketsare out of your price range, there
are still all sorts of reasons togo to Ford Gibson to party at the

(09:39):
Fort. Absolutely and right now,Cardial, those tickets are twenty five dollars
general admission for this lineup. There'sno way you go anywhere in this country
and see this show for twenty fivebucks. The lineup is crazy. You
got to go checkup the lineup andget those tickets right now. Give it
to the website one more time,James Party at the Fort dot com.
Heck yeah, hey hey James, thank you so much. I so appreciate

(10:01):
