Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Super Bowl is this weekend, but even better the
Puppy Bowl. It is Kiss ninety five to seven Courtney
and Kiss in the Morning. I love Do you guys
love watching the Puppy Bowl.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Yes, there's just a bunch of little puppies like tackling.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
I like, they're so cute. Here's my problem with the
Puppy Bowl.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
It's all adoptable puppies, but they film its months and
months in advance, and by the time it airs, they're
all adopted.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
Oh really, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
There's two Connecticut dogs, Angel and angels sibling, they don't
give us the name, are going to be in the
Puppy Bowl this year. They're from Dogstar Rescue in Bloomfield.
I've been there a few times, but they're saying they've
already been adopted.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Oh all right.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Well, I mean nice good news for the puppies, but
bad news for us.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
I know, because I always seem like, oh my god,
I'm gonna make a call. I'm gonna make a call
and get that puppy. But luckily Dogstar is local. We
could just go down there. They've got other puppies for adoption,
but the two in the Puppy Bowl this year from
Connecticut have already been adopted.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Can I just tell you I'm not a big fan
of the Puppy Bowl anymore. I was back when I
originally came out. It's too commercial now. They've too made
sponsors on the field. They have like the the watercail cam.
They have the water bowl and cats out there, a
dressed as cheerleaders last year, and a couple of parrots.
They've gotten away from the game of the actual puppies

(01:12):
playing football.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
And this ad has been brought to you by the
Walmart Jet against Animal Adoption.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
I like it, it's just too there's too much going
on now. It's not about the game.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
It's adorable and it'll be happening Sunday at two pm
on the Animal Planet if you want to see Angel
and her sibling from Dogstar Rescue in Bloomfield. All right,
Rachel and Plantsville is standing by. She got ghosted after
our first date. She would like us to call her
date and ask why he's ghosting.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Are you guys ready for that?

Speaker 4 (01:40):
I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Yes, Buckle up, kids. Oh we're gonna do it. Second
date update coming up.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Next, Well, they go on a second date.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Oh, will must be the last time they ever talked.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
Cortney and Kiss in the morning's Second Date Update, I'm
kiss ninety five seven.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Oh it's time for second date Update. I love making
love connections. Are you guys ready? We're going to plants
Field this morning.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
I'm ready?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Who fancy who?

Speaker 1 (02:01):
So Rachel is on the line, apparently, you know, Second
Date update went on a great first date and is
getting ghosted.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Good morning, Rachel, Good morning. Welcome to this show. I
hope we can help you get some answers today.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Yeah, me too.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
All right, so the.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Producer says, you had a date with a guy named Jackson,
So tell me all about this date.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Okay, So, yeah, I went out with a guy named
Jackson who was just amazing. It was a really really
good date. We met after work actually at a networking event,
and then we went out to dinner pretty much the
next night, and great conversation. He was super fun, really flirty. Yeah,

(02:43):
it was a really good time. And I, you know,
send him a text thanking him for dinner, and he
didn't respond, and I was, okay, you know, maybe he's
like tired or whatever. But I put him a second
one asking him out again, and he didn't respond to
that either, and I just haven't heard from him since,
and I just think that's really weird.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Interesting.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, well, so you sent the second text suggesting another
date and you've got no response.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Yeah, that's strange.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Now after your date, did you guys do a networking
if you know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Yeah, I mean there might have been like a little
like kiss good night or something, but it wasn't you know,
we didn't do anything you know, over the top or
anything gotcha.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
All right, So flirty, good conversation and you felt like
you guys had a connection. Oh absolutely, Yeah, it's just
bizarre that he hasn't responded, especially if you sent two
texts and one asking him out. All right, this is
what we're going to do. We are going to call
up Jackson. Then we're going to ask him about the date.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Who knows.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Maybe it's a misunderstanding or he didn't get your text messages.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Are you ready for answers?

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Yes, I am.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
We're gonna call him up. You're gonna be listening in.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Feel free to jump in and talk to him if
you want. I'm going to get answers. Rachel hold on.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
So it's a networking event. So are they co workers?
Like maybe he doesn't want to date a co worker.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
I don't know, but I feel like we used to
have them all in Hartford, where just companies would come
together at the end of a work week, different companies.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Hi is Jackson there?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Yeah? This Hey Jackson.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
It's Courtney Jackson. It's Walmart chef.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Hey Jackson ins Savannah. We're calling from Kiss ninety five
to seven. I have to let you know you're on
the radio. Good morning, Okay, good morning, all right, good
morning listen. I'll let you know while you're on the radio, Jackson.
We do something called second Date Update. If somebody goes
on a great date but they get ghosted after that
and they want answers, they call us.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
So Rachel reached out to us.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Said, you guys met at an afterwork kind of like
networking event for other companies in the area, probably.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Because I don't know if you worked together, But then
you guys went on a date. She said it was very.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Named.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
You don't have you gone on a date with a Rachel?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
No?

Speaker 3 (04:59):
No, never, Well, Jackson, Rachel's on the line. Rachel, Yeah,
Hi Jackson.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
This is definitely you.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
This is what your voice sounds like. Sorry, you're You're Rachel, Yeah,
what do you mean?

Speaker 1 (05:18):
What so?

Speaker 3 (05:20):
I'm confused? What's going on here?

Speaker 5 (05:23):
On a date? You took me out of there you
go and the night there you go. You know we
got no, I don't.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
We got dinner, ordered the calamari, you had a whiskey shower,
We had a long conversation.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Uh, I don't.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
I don't know you.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
I don't know what this is.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
It's like a prank or something.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
I just I'm lost right now. You don't know, Rachel.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
You guys met and went out to dinner. There might
have been a kiss at the end of the night.
You kissed her.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
No, I don't know what you're talking about, Like, what.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
What is this?

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Are you married? Are you married or have a girlfriend?
I feel like something's fishy here.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Jackson? Hello, were you married that Jackson? Jackson hung up?
Oh my gosh, Rachel, Yeah, okay, that was him.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
His name was Jackson. We called the phone number that
you have for him. What that did it sound like?

Speaker 3 (06:21):
His voice?

Speaker 5 (06:22):
Yeah? That was him for sure.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
That's weird.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
He's denying even knowing you. Come on, Rachel, what is
going on?

Speaker 4 (06:29):
We've never had that happen before.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
No, I honestly have no idea. I'm I'm kind of
just I'm kind of just speechless, to be honest.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
Interesting.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Okay, well, then this is what we're gonna do, Rachel.
I want you to check back in with us, you know,
if you hear anything from him, maybe shoot him a
text in the next few days and let us know
if you get anything back.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
Okay, yeah, I guess. I guess that's something I gotta do.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
I mean I didn't.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
We didn't get you answers except for if that's really
the Jackson. I mean, that's a strange name. It's not
like we're calling a John. There's a lot of John's.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Yeah, it sounds like there's not going to be a
second date.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
Yes, I I guess this is really weird. Guys, I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Oh yeah, it's very it's very bizarre.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
But Rachel, if he's denying knowing you, then I guess
you get your answers right then and there, right.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
I mean, yeah, that's all right.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Well, listen, I asked you to keep us posted. Okay,
if you hear from him at all, let us know.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
I'm sure. Well, thanks, guys.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
The news if you're single on Valentine's day.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
It is Kiss ninety five seven, Corny and Kiss of
the Morning. I am I'm the only single one here
in the studio. So yes, I'm single on Valentine's Day,
and I'm excited because Savannah says.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
It's going to be good news for me.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
So I guess a lot of single people by themselves
chocolates on Valentine's Day, and they're not alone because pretty
much half of Americans, whether they're single or not, also
treat themselves to their own box of chocolate on Valentine's Day.
It's actually kind of great. I mean, I love chocolate.
I'm here for it. But the survey also said that
the heart shape boxes are still the most popular, and

(08:02):
most people actually like to know which.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Chocolate they're eating before they eat it, so they boom.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Okay, here's my can I just give you a heads up.
I do this every year, but I trick myself and
on the fifteenth I go to Walgreens and get my
heart shaped box of chocolate for like sixty percent off.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Oh that's way better. I love that.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
Are you tricking yourself, Courtney or you just forget what
day it is?

Speaker 1 (08:24):
I just forget what day it is and all of
a sudden, I know the candies on sale, and I
do get myself something. Yes, I've got good news though,
if you want to avoid a hangover after the super
Bowl on Sunday and Jeff's gonna love this. I don't
know if Savannah will eat cheese. Do you eat cheese, Savannah,
I feel like you don't.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
I love cheese.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
I don't eat it on a daily basis because you
know it's cheese.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
But I love cheese.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
If there's a charcuterie board, they say, go for that.
For some reason, it helps with hangovers. It helps absorb
and metabolize the alcohol. It's high in protein, high in fat,
high in vitamin B and calcium, and they say it
also cheese protects your liver from damage from the drinking
you're gonna be doing on sho So go for the cheese.
If you don't want to hang over, Walmart, what do

(09:06):
you have for good news?

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Authorities in France are warning people not to use or
buy erection honey. Apparently the packets of honey are laced
with rectile dysfunction drugs and it's causing people to have seizures, hemorrhages,
and kidney problems. Just by using this erection, honey.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
So I'm guessing, Jeff, you're gonna head out and get
some today.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
I'm on Amazon right now, Courtney looking to find this money.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Money that is the most bizarre thing ever, bizarre.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
All right, all right, she's got the scoop and I'm
here for it. Tea Time with Savannah on Kiss ninety
five to seven starts doing it.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Oh so much music news this morning. Well, we'll kick
things off with Kendrick Lamar.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
He is opening up about how cool it's going to
watch Sizza grow throughout her entire career. So he just
sat down for a brand new interview where he said,
for my personally watching her, you know her career, in
where she comes from, it's amazing to see I get
to finally see how certain individuals see me come up
in the process because I've seen her day one coming
in the studio, writing songs, throwing away songs, writing another song,

(10:10):
throwing away songs. It's actually super cool because this little
chat comes right before the two of them take the
stage for the Super Bowl halftime show.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
I can't wait to watch it.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Post Malone, who is also going to be making a
Super Bowl appearance, but at the tailgate concert just announced
that he's getting ready to release something pretty cool, a
Nirvana tribute album.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
I mean, this guy is just so diverse.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
What's really cool is Travis Barker actually helped him record
it and played drums on the album. So it looks
like the boys are going to be covering Comes You Are, Lounge,
Act on a Plane, and Heart Shaped Box, just to
name a few. I honestly can't wait to hear that
it's going to be available starting on April twelve. And finally,
Billie Eilish and Mariana Grande, they are literally playing with

(10:53):
our emotions and it's just not fair. They just sat
down for wicked a conversation with Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande,
and at one point during the interview, Billy like had
a little flub and it got everyone's hopes up, including mine,
about a collab.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
A few more songs, and then we go because we're
only allowed a few songs.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
Questions, Oh my god, I'm on tour you guys.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
I'm used to saying sorry, okay, two questions.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
Hey you need to do that though.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
We okay, but this really does need to happen like
it would be such a dream collab. I think my
brain would just like explode. But if you want to
see this full video and more on all of these stories,
you can check out my blog Kiss ninety five to
seven dot com. Keywar Savannah and until next time, the
best tea is the kind of cant sit.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Savannah is running out of the studio. We have to
go and get her. It is Kiss ninety five seven
Courtney and Kiss in the morning time for Walmart.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Just junk Savannah, get back in here.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Yes, it's time to play ford Man Versus the World,
Everyone's favorite game. I read a couple of headlines and
you tell me if they happened in full Florida or
somewhere else in the world. And up for grass, say Courtney.
I actually have a little bundle package to give out
to one lucky winner. They will be winning a brand
new laptop and an iPhone fifteen.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
How am I supposed to do my job without my
computer or my phone?

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Well, Courtney needs a new computer and she needs a
new cell phone.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Hold on a minute, Courtney can't figure out a piece
You want to give her a mac? I, Savannah, it's
just the rules of the game.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
Here we go. First headline garbage. The first headline Barisa
attacked and bitten by pet monkey that jumped through the
drive through window. Did that happen in Florida, Savannah or
somewhere else in the world.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
I have to go first, because.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
Yeah, it's Cotney parents.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Yeah, because because I said so.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Qut stall in Florida or somewhere else in the world.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
I'm gonna say Florida.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
All right, Courtney. Did it happen in Florida or somewhere
else in the world, I'll.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Kill you, old Jeff the world.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
No ding ding ding. If you guess world, you are correct.
That happened in Alabama, of course the day the next
the next headline, attorney hits man over the head with
dinner plate because his daughter cut in front of him
at a wedding buffet.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
It's incredible.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Did that happen in Florida or somewhere else in the world, Savannah.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
I want to know where this is because I want
to shake the guy's hand. There's nothing more annoying than that.
I'm gonna say, probably an Italian wedding.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
I'm gonna go.

Speaker 4 (13:33):
World, all right, Courtney, you're gonna say Florida.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Right, I was gonna say I was because there's a
lot of buffets in Florida.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
If you go, there's buffets everywhere in Florida, and they
opened early too. So if you said world, congratulations, that
is wrong. Florida was wrong. So it's too nothing technically,
Courtney ari one. But here's the third headline. We'll make
chases another woman with an ax over a fanny pack.

(14:02):
Did that happen in Florida or somewhere else in the world.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
It's gonna happen in Connecticut over laptop at about five minutes.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
All right, So Courtney, you're saying world right, yes, Jeff
somewhere in the world, dang ding ding courtneyser laptop. Courtney
got a laptop and a cell phone. Congratulations Courtney, Flida
man versus.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
So much going on this weekend, including hanging out with
Savannah and Adam Rivers. It is kiss ninety five to seven, Courtney,
Savannah Walmart Cheff with you.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
We made it to Friday.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
The big thing this weekend for me is that Brett
Michaels is at Mohegan Sun tonight.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
But I couldn't get tickets. Stop.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Oh no, yes, no, come on I'm an eighties girl.
Me and all my girlfriends are like, let's go see
Brett Michaels. And they're like, Courtney can get tickets. She
works in radio. And guess what, Courtney couldn't get tickets.
But anyway, Brett Michaels is performing. It's gonna be awesome.
Mohegan's son. But if you want to hang out with
Savannah and Adam Rivers, it's the Connecticut Bridal Expo at
the Convention Center.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Yeah, it's gonna be so fun. I'll be there on Saturday.
Adam will be hanging out on Sunday. So if you
have any you know, questions, or if you want our opinions,
or you want to bring us over a little wedding cake,
no one would be mad about that.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
And and she said earlier she would also take a mimosa.
So if you're at the expo, maybe bring Savannah a
mimosa because she just lost her laptop and her cell
phone in a game we played on the air.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
And now I need liquor at this present moment.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Yeah, and then, Jeff, are you going to be watching
Yukon men's hockey versus UMass?

Speaker 4 (15:27):
That's also tomorrow the Yukon men's hockey team is on
a roll right now, Courtney. They're nationally ranked, which is awesome.
They're probably not the Excel Center. The last time they
played there, I think it was last week and I
had nine thousand people there.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Wow, that's huge.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
And then of course the big event is the Puppy Bowl,
which happens on Sunday on the Animal Planet.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
All right, it's a huge weekend.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
This weekend, Super Bowl Sunday. It is KSE ninety five seven,
Courtney and Kids of the Morning. And I know, Walmart,
you invited us, myself and Savannah or how for your
Super Bowl party, but you said if we can find it,
and you didn't give us your address.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
Yeah, I can find it. So I bought twelve pounds
of wings, and sadly, nobody is coming to my party.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
No, how do you know? How do you nobody's coming?

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Because I texted people on Wednesday and they're like, oh,
we got plans with someone else, and oh we're doing this,
and oh we're doing that. So it's just gonna be
old Walmart. Jeff riding solo.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Well, sorry, hope you're hungry and you're like wings, Jeff.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Yep I'm gonna be eating a lot. Can I just
tell you my plans.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
For super plans?

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Okay, So usually what happens is I wait till the
game to start eating. I'm not doing that this year
because I get so full so quick. So this year,
start writing in the morning, and I'm working myself through
the entire day. Yes, every two hours. It's gonna be
a different app or dish, and I'm just gonna have
so much fun. I'm gonna enjoy myself.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
I think we should give him like some like acid reflux.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
I'm good. I don't get acid reflex. I'm a man.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Look at him. Of course he starts to sweat.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Though, yeah, yeah, exafinitely towel yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
And his face gets red. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Super Bowl Sunday, I'll probably just watch for the halftime
show and the commercials. I like to watch for the commercials.
I don't know it's because it's Taylor Swift's game. I
might actually watch the whole Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Usual I think it's not. She has nothing to do
with this game. I don't know why you keep saying.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
That, because I want to see her. I don't really
care about the game itself. I want to see Taylor Swift.

Speaker 4 (17:25):
Savannah, will you be having lasagna and meat balls and
other Italian foods.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
I'm about to give you a heart attack. What I'm
going to do during Super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (17:33):
What's that?

Speaker 2 (17:33):
I'm going to only watch the commercials, not the game.
I'm gonna sit there in my sweatpants and drink.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
A green juice, a green juice, like a healthy juice.
That is the worst super Bowl party ever. See, I'm
not going to Savannah's house.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
That's why I didn't invite her over to my house.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Nope, it's going to be great.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
It's going to be me and my little Zarita on
the couch, hanging out and drinking our green juice.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
Well, I'm gonna have a cocktail Olive for food and
lots of Journey Martinis and hopefully make it for halftime.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
But it's going to be interesting.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
It'll be this Sunday and then I'm sure Monday is
going to be quite interesting for the three of us.
Savannah will be fine, she can run the show. She's
only drinking green juice.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
All right, I'm done with that.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
All right, You are all right, Rachel, and Plantsville is
standing by.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
She got ghosted after our first date and she wants
those answers.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Second date update coming up next my check

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Corney and Kiss in the Morning on Kiss ninety five
seven

I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
