I certainly like to start by one thanking Hockey East.
I thought they put on a tremendous tournament this weekend.
Steve Kate, Brian, the whole staff. Brian Murphy thought the
games were really well refereed. The whole red carpet thing

was a great touch. It was just a first class
tournament and great crowds. Hats off to the main fans
for times. I felt like I was up at Alphont
today during that game. And then secondly, Ben and his
staff and his team, they deserve to win tonight. I

thought they played better than we did, and you know,
congratulations to them. But we had a tough start, I thought.
But I thought we got it back in the second
period and were playing a lot better and we had
some chances. But it was one of those nights when
when you had a great a we missed the net.
Just wasn't really our night. But I think it's a

great learning experience, And like I told the kids in there,
the last time we were in this position, our season
was over and it's not the case this year, and
I think it's something that we can learn from. And
when you compete in this league and you can compete

for a championship. I think you can compete against anybody
in the country. So I told all our players that
we just got to regroup, refocus, and get back at
it next week. Thanks coach. We'll take questions for coach.

news yesterday. We talked a little or you talked a
little bit about John and Hudson. Obviously how they've been
here five years ago. One do you have an update
on Hodson's status? And then two like what do those
two players or what have they meant to this team,
especially this season. We're not here if they don't come back,
not even close. And not because they're really good players

for us, because their leadership we couldn't have done when
we're playing. I think, what do we have tonight? Eight
seven eight freshmen maybe in the lineup. You're not going
to win a lot of games if you don't have
that type of leadership showing them the way and letting
them know what the expectations are of the team that
wants to compete for a championship. So from that standpoint,

they're invaluable to me for this program. I have the
utmost respect for him because in today's world, you don't
see many kids, you know, coming off the season that
we had last year, and they could go transfer wherein
they wont stay for a fifth year because they didn't
like the way their career ended and they wanted to

they thought it could end better, and already it has
because we're going to the first national tournament we've ever
been to. So from that standpoint, that's great. And as
far as Hudson's status, it's a day to day type thing.
And Mike, which saw I'm a mess life kind of
on that theme on Sunday, You're going to be rewarded
for your entire season, not just what you did in
this tournam but what didn't happen in this tournament? Right Yeah,

And then I'm really I told the group, I'm really
proud of them, and I've been doing this a long
time and I've been in this game a lot on
both sides of it, and you know, sports can humble you,
and we got humbled tonight. I thought Maine jumped us

early and it was hard for us. You know, we
wanted to score first and try to take the crowd
out of the game, but that wasn't the case. Daniel Connolly,
ukon of Hockey. What did Maine do in that first
period that made it so difficult for you guys? They
didn't allow us to get our four check going. They

did a really good job of Part of that was
because we were in our own zone a little bit.
So if you spend in twenty seconds in your own zone,
it's hard to get a four check going. And I
thought we were just disconnected on our four check. We'd
have one going, but two wasn't there, and you need
five guys connected to really establish it. Now, we got

to go on in the third. You know, we got
some turnovers in the third, and you know, if that
play isn't off sides, It was close and it was
off sides, but you know, if it stays on sides
there and we scored that goal all of a sudden,
it could have been four to three, you know, and
then it's a different game. But I thought we started
to establish our four check a little bit more in

the third period, but it was a little too late.

challenge with about eleven ish minutes left in regulation. I'm
just curious what you saw on that or you guys
we got radio down that there was a contact to
the head. There was eleven minutes left. We were down

three to one. I think at the time, you know,
when we kind of took a chance. If you get
a five minute major there, that could change things a
whole lot. It wasn't. It wasn't like I was going
to get a penalty for challenging at that point. I
didn't see the need to save it. It was close,

you know, more than just said it wasn't five. It
probably should have been a penalty, but it wasn't five. Okay.
Did health play a backer at all in your goaltending
decision today? And what went into deciding to play music?
We've switched all year long. That was a decision we've
rotated all year long. Chrazy John Doyle, usco coach, imp

think was that second main goal Not only did it
come late in the first period, but down to nothing,
was also on the only power play in the game. Yeah,
and it was off the rush. We had done a
good job against them in zone and Nato made a
great play and you know, we probably didn't handle it
as well defensively as we should have it. It was
a one on two that he made a great play

and turned into almost a you know, he beat both
guys and shot back against the grain. It was a
really nice goal. We'll go Luca right in the middle
the Tedesco The One Tea podcast. How close was Hudson
to be being ready to go? Was? Did you kind
of know before warm ups or was it really a

last I didn't think that he wanted to try warm
ups again because he's such a competitor, But I was
confident that he was gonna be able to play. But
I let him try because he's had some chandor and
he's given everything he has to this program. So if

he asked me to try warm up, so I'm gonna
