Got themselves together and got a lead going into halftime.
We're joined here court side by Alex Caravan, Mike Crispino,
Wayne Norman. Alex, the start of this one wasn't pretty,
DePaul was all fired up. How did you guys get
it turned around in that first half because for a
while you couldn't find the bottom of the net at all.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
I mean, it's always tough when you're missing the lead
player like solo ball, but we had to have guys
step up, step up big time then. I mean, any
Biggist game is a hard fuck game and it's a
battle no matter what. So we had to be ready
to go from the job. We're gonna learn from it
and just knowing, I think guys realize every Biggest game
is a battle. And you know, I'm glad we found
a way and we stuck to our identity with.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
His defense, Alex, this game kind of began the way
the Butler game did, where they got a lot of
fast breaks early on. You took that away later on.
Was that a defensive emphasis in huddles?

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, definitely. I Mean we knew that they wanted to
get out in transition, but we felt like part of
it was our fall. We were turning the ball over
too much, which gave them opportunities.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
So we tightened that up.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
We cleaned it up, and a defensively, we've found away game.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I think he took three shots. It's not like you
but here tonight you took twelve. Very efficient mate seven.
I mean, did you have a conscious thought in mind
because Solo wasn't available, I'm gonna have to be a
little more aggressive offensively.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
I mean, definitely that was part of it too. But
at the end of the day, I'm a team guy.
I've been a team guy since freshman year. And you know,
I didn't find the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
The ball.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
The ball didn't find me against Butler, and you know
I found other guys were able to pull it through.
This time it found me and found the way to win. So,
you know, whatever the game, whatever the game is, whatever
the game represents, I'm just gonna show up and play.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Even though Silas Demra had the lead the game for
a little while, Yeah, they had assisted this game live
a solid floor game and did a lot of good things.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
He did a lot of good things, and a lot
of things don't show up on the stats. On the
statue with Silas. I mean just the intensity plays, just
how hard he plays, and just the energy he gives
us defensively. You know, he's he's the leading man, all.
