Speaker 1 (00:00):
We're good, man, how are you doing great? Doing great?
Second year of a new system? Wanting to coach Brock,
how has it been like as an experienced guy and
you also trying to help the younger guys adjust for
It's been really well because now going into my second years, now,
like I got a like a better feel for like
the whole the whole system, not not just the corners.
And then safety is like I can help the linebackers
(00:22):
or the d line like it's it's it helps a
lot because knowing what they are doing makes my job
a lot easier. So definitely just knowing just where everyone's moving,
where everyone's starting, That's that really makes a really big
difference when you look back at last year, What are
the sort of main areas that you learned to improve on?
Definitely my man, you know, my man coverage, and then
(00:43):
more my physical wise because like I like I pride
my you know stelf on being the most physical you know,
you know corner because you know, like a lot of
corners aren't as big as me, strong as me, So
like I really want to pride my you know stuff
I'm coming up tackling, getting off of blocks, That's that's
really something that I wanted to make up really big
moving this year. How does your receivers helping you get better?
Definitely Shamar He's he I'm honestly, he's one of the
(01:05):
best blockers in the country. So me and him work
every every single day, so he he helps me and
I push him. How would you make your personal performers
to be a y'all? In the second point, how would
you make the team's defensiveforms me me personally? Like, I like,
I felt like I've left like a lot on the
you know, you know table, you know, being a f
you know, freshman, I'm field learning the scheme, learning what
(01:27):
college ball really is. So really the fish year is
where like I'm the most confident, like like like I
know what I'm doing now, and I feel like if
this is this is gonna be the year where like
I really take off. So what is the softwaree though?
Where the freshman does everything scheme, physical wise, the temple
of like the actual temple of actual college game. That's
one of the biggest things that I've really had to learn.
(01:48):
So Pefley, see the guys have thrown a lot of
bad passes today. Just how much confidence do you have
in those new guys out there on the confidence because
once again we make everyone better. So when they get
pressure on Joe quarterbacks, that makes my job so much easier,
So that it's it's really like one of the biggest things,
like like I can't cover the way that I can
(02:09):
without them. Value off the field, they have both Jolani
and Ronte here in a different type of situations or
not playing anymore. What's it like happening on the sideline.
It's definitely good because they are two people that played
a lot of football here, so they see things differently,
like slow they helped me play and then just help
me like realize things a lot faster now. So that's
(02:30):
really like something that I really love. You know, with
them being back, how much has the game slowed down
for you? It's slowed down a lot, Like I'm so honest,
like one hundred person, like one hundred percent, Like the
game is so much lower now, Like I know when shifts,
shift's motions are all you know, come in my way,
I could see it a lot, like a lot differently now.
How imporn is it for you guys to sort of
(02:50):
start out I mean maybe not important, but how nice
is it to start out with it. Maybe not Maryland,
but you know, personally me me like, I feel like
every team that we call up against every week is
always like a you know, you know, you know challenge.
Everyone is on scholarships, so everyone that I line up against, like,
I give them the same respect that I'll give Syracuse Maryland.
(03:13):
Like you said, so it's it's really no no pissentan
me M. Thank you
