I say, it's been like a challenge to like mesh
everything together. But we like, obviously we did it pretty
well and stuff like that. So that's really the big
thing for this off season.

When you're running the player run practices, who's taking charge
in that locker room to kind of get things moving?

Uh, you got like guys like TK, Vincent, uh me
obviously can chat with like and then it funny thing
is it trickles down to everybody, like everybody the way
we run it, it's not like one person person is deleted,
Like it could be a walk on that never played
a snap. If he says the right thing, we all listen.

So yeah, and what kind of stuff happens in those
practices that as a group, maybe you've decided, Okay, we're
not doing this in normal practice. So we want to start,
you know, implementing some things in our play around stuff.

I feel like it's all like it's the same with practice,
Like with that practice, we run it the same way.

Yep, Coach Brocks defense, Is it easy for new guys
to come in and sort of find their their lane
or is it a little challenging.

Or it's definitely challenging. It's not easy.

He throws a lot of stuff bat to it, and
it's very high expectations. But like the the gritty prevailed
and if you don't, then you don't.

And for you, after the way last season ended, what
sort of inspired you to come back here? A lot
of you know returners in the secondary deep unit you
guys have there?
Speaker 1 (01:45):
What was it that capture yere? Me personally?
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Like, what motivated me to come back is just leaving
the program better than how it started? You feel me
so like, well, how I leaving it? Leaving you to
get what I'm saying, right, it was like like my
whole thing is And I told all the coaches I've
never wanted to leave I never it was never my
desire to leave Yukon because this is obviously home. And
(02:11):
like I want to leave this place better than how
I found last year.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
When you're talking about Matt Brock's defense that first game
against Maryland, I feel like we're enough away from that
fifty point game by Maryland. But what was that week
one to week two conversation? Because obviously it's tough to
for that group. That was a tough day, But then
it seemed like you guys did figure it out pretty
quickly after that.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Yeah, it was just like just doubling down on the
fundamentals and all of that, and there's little things like
leverage and tackling, like so all the little details. We
just doubled down on that, and it obviously you saw
the results of it.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, what sort of team goals do you have this year?
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Simply just to win every game, dominate everybody that we
step on the field with, no matter where it is,
when it is, who it is, like, simply.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
That you can't get rid of Ronte. So what's what's
what's he doing right now around the program and the
energy he's bringing.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
I mean, like I said in the list and of you, like,
it's a blessing to how Daranti around. He's He's literally
he was the player coach, you feel me. So he's
always giving good coaching points and all that, and great
gotta be around, great energy and all that.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Anybody impressed you, particularly coming back when you guys came
back on campus.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Uh yeah, really everybody. Everybody looked way better than how
they looked last year. And all the transfers came in
and did what they were supposed to do, what they
was expected to do and all that. So really the
whole team collectively.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
All right, well, we know Skylard is gonna be that
guy the top wide receiver on offense. Give us the
scouting report and the rest of the wide receivers that
you're covering in practice.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Uh we got we got uh Ta. He's very good.
He's a he's kind of a big body. We got
another big body. Uh Chamar, he can go up and
get the ball. Oh got Terrence. He's blazing fast, run
twenty three miles per hour. Yeah, he's he's gonna be
a lot for the hamstrings.

No back pedaling on that. Yeah, just open up. Who
else I could think of? All right? Man? Oh we
got uh Ray Mello.

He's kind of a stocky, big body. He could big
body you and he in and out of his breaks
like snappy.

TJ and Josiah, but it sounds like you feel like
the Wide Receiving Core is an exciting group to watch.
