off the break, and I thought that was one of
the big reasons you held this team off and was

Yeah, definitely, And that all starts with our defense. You know,
we started the last three days specifically, you know, focused
on pushing the ball on transition again, stops pushing, and
you know, I think you could see that today and
it really paid off.

The two big guns for Butler, Ajaii and Bizshak combined
for just fifteen points. They combined for fifty four points
and that double overtime win over Providence on Saturday. What
was the team's mindset and your mindset to take those
guys out of the equation.

Yeah, definitely, just make them really uncomfortable.

That The coaches did a great job, you know, showing
us our strength and their weaknesses, so we were really
able to key in on them and be able to
you know, send them pressure when we could.

Yeah, we definitely had a huge emphasis on it being
a paint game. I think we did that pretty well.
I'm not sure what the numbers are final, but we
did a good job rebounding in specifically in the first half,
not show we finished, but just pretending to paint with
something we definitely wanted its key.

Jane to talk about the game, but Chilos Gemery had
he didn't get a field goal till the final couple
of minutes, but he had a career high eleven assist
and he actually made Yukon better the way he played
that floor game.

Yeah, man, all credit to him.

Man, He's an amazing player and he makes our team
better in so many ways that a lot of people
might not see. He's one of the hardest playing dudes
I've ever played with, so you know, all credit to him.
He sees the flour really well. He's just a great

Man, I mean, I've been seeing it since high school,
so you know, I'm definitely accustomed to seeing that. He
did a great job tonight, went out there just firing away.
He was real confident, and you know, you love to
see it. And we're gonna keep that moving forward into
Bigge's play.

tell you what one thing that Jade Ross does, Wyne.
He had thirteen points in this game and eight rebounds.
He defends and we know that, but he's also doing
other things his junior season. He's made threes, he runs
the floor well, He's doing a lot of things well.
And boy, that's just another guy off the bench for

Dan Hurley.

The problem he's had the first couple of years. He's
a great practice player, but he couldn't make it translate
into on court performance. He's translated it to on core
performance this year and he's drawn the praise of his
coach Dan Hurley has talked about him several times, and
I guarantee he's going to go off on what a
factor he was in the second half. He certainly helped
Yukon build that twenty three point lead and played really well,

particularly after halftime.

Yeah, they beat a team tonight who was coming in
here shooting thirty nine percent from three, averaging ninety plus points.
They hold him to sixty. They hold him to twenty
nine and a half percent field goals shooting, and five
for twenty four from three. So you kind of shown
early in the season, as they've won seven in a
row now, including their opener here in the Big East,
that they can defend and defense can carry you a

long way. Now, they got to take care of the
ball better. Too many turnovers. But it was encouraging Wayne.
I thought they out rebounded this team by eighteen forty
seven to twenty nine, a team that had been out
rebounding people by nine and a half a game. Yukon
dominates the boards and they win the board battle by
eighteen in this game.

And that's what coach Turley one of the several things
he was talking about yesterday, he thinks this team can
rebound better, particularly with the healthles healthy terrorists read, and
they certainly showed that tonight as a team collective effort,
