I would bet you Caitlyn Chen has never been interviewed
by radio after a game before in all her days
at Princeton.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
My mind.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Just face you know, Kaitlyn. It's force of habit.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
This is Debbie.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Debbie used to play here at Yukon. Hi Debbie, and
you know me, I'm Bob. I was a radio crew.
So first road game, it wasn't easy. It's not supposed
to be easy. What are your thoughts on this win
here tonight?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
I think it was a huge win for us. It
was our first real tests in a tough road environment
like this. I mean, the fans really showed out tonight,
and I thought we sort of handled the pressure well.
We sort of bounced back and handled the adversity that
we hadn't really face yet.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
It seemed manned a man against their defense pretty much
were able to carve them up and get what you wanted.
They changed to the two three zone. Seemed to be
a little stolen there. What do you know, how did
it overcome that? And what was the look or what
do you think was a little difficulty getting the offense
going at that point?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
We what was it? I think we just had to
sort of to get into our zone offense mindset. I mean,
we're so focused on man the whole game. We're so
prepared for that, and we just had to focus more
on moving the ball around, getting it into the post.
Good things happen when you get in the middle, but
sometimes it's easier said than done.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Caitlyn, what's the adjustment been like for you? You come
from Princeton where you are dependent to do a lot
for Carli Barruby's team. You come here, you got Paige here,
you get get an easy back soon. Sarah's been awesome
at the start. What's it been like adjusting to just
being one of the regular guys folks out there.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
It's awesome. I mean, it's pretty spectacular to be able
to play with such talented players like Paige KK Sarah
every day, and I'm just getting used to my role
and trying my best to i mean, starring my role.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
It went north Carolina cut it to eleven. I think
time out called you guys respond. It came out of
it for quick points, some defense right there and really
turned it around. What was that in that huddle and
what was the mentality coming out in the court that
made it happen?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
We talked about how we have to lock in on defense.
I mean, that's where we get all our off transition offense,
and we just sort of focused in on their shooters
and we were able to get done.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Is this group early on better defensively than you thought
you'd be at the at the beginning of the season.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what I was expecting
coming in at the point.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
All right, So what do you environment?

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Fun?

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Y'all obviously like to play at home, but you know,
an arena like this and the result that you get
good stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah, honestly, this is pretty fun too. This is pretty fun.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Finally, before we let you go, what's the best piece
of advice that Carly gave you before coming here?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
She told me to just be me and to trust
myself and trust what I have and be confident in myself.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
