Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's start with stopping their fast break. They did get
out and run. Gold Nagles loved to get up the
court and beat you up the court. But you were
able to kind of control that today. How'd you do it? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
I mean, the biggest thing going into this game was
stopping them in transition. That's their specialty. Their specialty is
playing off their defense and getting the transition. So we
had to be able to contain that. I think the
biggest thing we have to do is just continue to
take care of the ball. We had too many turnovers
today and too many spurts where we just kept giving
to the ball to them, and we just got to
be cleaning with the ball.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
So it looked like you hurt your wrist there in
the second half and you were limping around for a while,
but you came back in the game. Is the wrist okay?
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yeah, I'm fine, man. I keep playing regardless. That's how
I am. So, I mean, no, no matter how I'm feeling, man,
I'm always going to fight for these guys. I love
these boys, all right.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Solo forty paint by the Huskies in this game, and
it looked like you were making a concerted effort to
try to beat Marquette off the dribble and then find
your bigs. How'd you think you did on that?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah, I think we did a good job with that. Besides,
when we were turned the ball over a couple of times,
I feel like we were playing really unselfish. And we
know how dominant t read Is and Eric are in
the paint, so I mean, you just got to continue
to feed them.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
And you had eight rebounds in this game. You kind
of rebounded Marquette by fourteen of the second half. Was
that addressed at halftime that they out rebounded you in
the first half.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Oh? Well, we always had the mentality just to attack
the glass, and coach has always been harboring on us
to attack the offensive glass. So that's what you saw
the difference with most. Definitely in the second half, I
feel like we were attacking the offensive glass way more
and defensive glass. We just continue to do our thing.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
All right, Solo, it's on the road to Providence. You
like playing on the road, don't you. Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
I love playing on the road, man. I love going
to people's homes and making people say that. Man, I
love that.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
So the hostilities, you love that? All right? Thank you?
Solo ball and the Huski's winning seventy three to fifty seven.
I appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Appreciates you have a good one.
